Unmatched technical progressive metal band Oni have publicly cited Linkin Park as a longtime influence, and after the recent untimely death of vocalist Chester Bennington, the band decided to enter the studio to record a cover track and pay homage to their fallen musical hero. Right now, you can stream Oni's metal-charged cover of the classic Linkin Park track, "A Place For My Head".

Oni frontman Jake Oni says: "Linkin Park was the first band that introduced me into heavier music, which ultimately lead me down my path of metal. His voice and lyrics affected so many people, especially me. The world will not be the same without Chester Bennington. We decided to record this cover as a tribute to Linkin Park and Chester. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and fans."

Part 2 of an EPK video in support of David Gilmour’s upcoming Live At Pompeii release is available for streaming below.

45 years after Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour filmed Live At Pompeii in the legendary Roman Amphitheatre there, he returned for two spectacular shows that took place on July 7th and 8th, 2016, part of his year-long tour in support of his #1 album, Rattle That Lock. The performances were the first-ever rock concerts for an audience in the stone Roman amphitheatre, and, for two nights only, the 2,600 strong crowd stood exactly where gladiators would have fought in the first century AD.

David Gilmour Live At Pompeii is an audio experience on its own, while the audio-visual spectacle features lasers, pyrotechnics and a huge circular screen on which specially-created films complement selected songs. Paramount, however, is the incredible music: the show includes songs from throughout David's career, as well as many Pink Floyd classics, including “One Of These Days”, the only song that was also performed at the band’s 1971 show.

Both concerts also saw very special performances of “The Great Gig In The Sky” from The Dark Side Of The Moon, which David rarely plays as a solo artist. The 2-disc concert CD was produced by David Gilmour, and mixed by Andy Jackson and David Gilmour. The 148-minute concert film includes highlights from both shows, filmed in 4k by director Gavin Elder. DVD and Blu-ray versions contain an extra 7-minute documentary by Gavin Elder ‘Pompeii Then And Now’, while the Deluxe Blu-ray 4-disc box contains the 2xCD version, the 1xBlu-ray version, and a full 207 minutes of extra footage: 11 live performances and 5 documentaries, plus bonus collectables. Vinyl lovers can enjoy a deluxe 4xLP version in gatefold sleeves and a hardback slipcase, plus a 24-page photo booklet.

German metallers, Mystic Prophecy, have found a replacement for guitarist Laki Ragazas, who has been forced to take a break from his career due to health reasons.

Says the band: “We are glad to announce the recruiting of Evan K, a very talented young shredder with whom we are excited to work with. He's not unknown to us, as our singer R.D. Liapakis was working with him on his latest solo release. This makes us looking forward to what he will contribute to the band's future live and also in the studio!"

Steve Harris says that he would like to turn his English house into a boutique hotel for IRON MAIDEN fans.

The IRON MAIDEN bassist has been unsuccessfully trying to sell his eight-bedroom mansion in Essex for the past five years. He originally put the home on the market in 2012 for £6.75 million (approximately $8.71 million), but that price came down in 2013 by £0.9 million to £5.85 million (approximately $7.55 million) and in 2015 by another £0.9 million to £4.95 million (approximately $6.39 million).

After floating on the market for almost four years, the nine-acre property had its price reduced last year to an even lower guide price of £3.95 million (approximately $5.10 million).

"It was a little bit crazy to start with, because when I first put it [on sale], I wasn't really sure if I wanted to sell it," Harris told Swedish radio station Bandit Rock. "'Cause I was [moving] abroad, and I thought, 'Well, I don't know if I'm gonna really wanna stay abroad,' so I put it at a silly price, and I thought if somebody wants to pay silly money for it, then they're welcome to it. But then I brought the price down. It's actually a very reasonable price now."

Assuming that he can't sell the place at the current asking price, Harris has a possible back-up plan in mind. "In an ideal world, I'd like to turn it into a boutique hotel, and I think MAIDEN fans would go there," he said. "I mean, I had a small bar in Portugal — called Eddie's Bar — which is no longer open; it closed a few years ago. But people used to come from all over the world just to go to that little bar, and I think maybe they would go to the house. 'Cause we recorded some albums there, too, in the studio — 'Fear Of The Dark' we recorded there and a few others — and there's lots of memorabilia there and everything like that. So… I don't know. That would be a nice plan. A boutique hotel… It means I could still stay there as well, which would be great. It'd be an ideal world for me, really. Yeah, it'd be nice."

Harris, who made headlines in 2013 when more than $8,000 worth of goods and electronics was stolen from his Bahamas property, revealed that he has been living in the former British colony "for the last ten years. My youngest is still in school there," he said. "She's gonna have another four years of school, so we'll be living there for at least another four years till she finishes school anyway and see what happens after that. That was another reason as well — I had so many problems with my back, and I thought I'd go somewhere warmer and get better, and it's actually made a big difference."

Regarding his decision to move to the Bahamas, Harris said: "I got to fifty. I was running around on a football pitch. I was freezing my nuts off. It was wet, rainy, and I thought, 'You know what? I've had enough of this. I think I've done fifty years of my time in England with all this bad weather. I'm out of here.' So that was another reason as well, amongst a few other reasons. But I just thought, 'That's it, really.' But it did definitely help with my back and just about everything, really."

Harris continued: "I always wanted to live [in the Bahamas], really, 'cause we made albums in the early '80s at Compass Point studios — we made three albums there; we did 'Piece Of Mind', 'Powerslave' and 'Somewhere In Time' there. And then going back only a few years, we also did 'The Final Frontier' there as well… It was great to go back [there for the recording of 'The Final Frontier']. It was good for me, 'cause I was just living just down the road — my house was five minutes away from the studio, so every day was perfect for me. We've had a lot of good times there. Even from when I first went there in '83, I thought, 'One day I'd like to live here.' I really liked it. It made a big impression on me — the place and the people and everything. So I thought, 'One day I'll go there,' and I did."

British female fronted symphonic metal band, Dead Of Night, is the newest addition to Pride & Joy Music’s roster.

Dead Of Night are a five-piece band with members from various parts of the UK. Formed in 2013 by composer Carl Eden as a vehicle for an album that he had in mind at the time, and with the release of The Dead Shall Rise in 2014 they began receiving much critical acclaim.

Following on from the success of this self-released debut album the band went on to re-record their first album under the title The Dead Shall Rise Again. This was accompanied by their first live performance at The Railway in Bolton, UK, which spurred them on to continue gigging across the UK.

Their latest release, titled In Search Of Ancient Magic, sees progression and the band reaching new heights in terms of what Dead Of Night are capable of.

The band have gigged throughout the UK enjoying festival slots at A Splendid Day Out (Morecambe's Victorian and Steampunk Festival 2016/2017), The Quinphonic Festival 4 (Birmingham's Female Fronted Metal Festival 2017), as well as gigs in Lancaster, Morecambe and Burnley for the 2017 Metal 2 The Masses - Battle Of The Bands competition. SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor sat down with Larry King for an all-new season-six episode of the Emmy-nominated series "Larry King Now". The singer discussed a potential new SLIPKNOT album, his desire to collaborate with Jay-Z and his friend Chester Bennington's suicide. Taylor also opened up about politics, including his views on President Donald Trump and a possible Kid Rock Senate bid.

Speaking about his relationship with LINKIN PARK frontman Chester Bennington, whose recent suicide shocked the music community, Taylor said that he didn't agree with to fans calling Chester "cowardly." "Unless you've walked in those shoes, you don't understand the pain, the weight of carrying that along, and there's no right way to deal with it," Corey said. "There's no universal fix-all. So you spend your whole life trying to find what works for you. I am just glad I got the time I had with him." Taylor added that Bennington was a "sweetheart of a guy," and that he sadly struggled with mental health issues.

Taylor also discussed his disdain for President Trump, a man he says is attempting to run "American Inc." instead of the government. "I'm not going to sit here and call him a Hitler like a lot of other people will," he said. "I think he is just a massive ego. He's a businessman who's gonna try and run America Inc., and that doesn't work — that's not what governments do, as far as I'm concerned. I may be naïve, but I grew up watching different programs and different things and different forms of deregulation, and it's never gone the right way for the middle class. So everybody who keeps telling me to give him a chance, I keep trying to give him a chance and he keeps shooting himself in the foot."

Taylor also weighed in on why he thinks Kid Rock has no place running for the U.S. Senate. "I've never met him. I've heard he's really, really cool, but I think the worst thing that people can do is assume that you can fill a role that you have no experience in," Corey said. "I mean, we're kind of seeing that with the President right now. So there you go."

Taylor talked cross-genre collaborations with Larry, revealing his desire to join forces with legendary rapper Jay-Z. "His mind is so massive, I think it would be really, really cool," Corey said.

The surviving members of LINKIN PARK have released a statement thanking fans for their support and announcing plans for a tribute event for their late singer, Chester Bennington.

Bennington died by suicide on July 20. He was 41.

His private funeral service took place on July 29 near his home in Palos Verdes, California. It was attended by five hundred guests, including members of all three bands Bennington sang in: LINKIN PARK, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and DEAD BY SUNRISE.

Earlier today, LINKIN PARK posted the following message on the band's official Twitter account:

"Just wanted to say thank you to all our fans around the world for the tremendous outpouring of love, which has strengthened our spirit during this incredibly difficult time.

"The five of us are so grateful for all of your support as we heal and build the future of LINKIN PARK.

"We are working on a special public event in Los Angeles to honor Chester's memory, and look forward to sharing details with you soon.

"Peace and love."

Bennington had been open with the press and public about his struggles with drugs and alcohol, which landed him in rehab twice around 2006.

Investigators reportedly found no illegal drugs or prescription drugs while searching Bennington's home following his passing, although a partially consumed bottle of alcohol was found in the bedroom where the 41-year-old singer's body was discovered. It will not be clear until a toxicology report is released whether Bennington had any drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death.

DEAD CROSS, the Southern California outfit featuring drummer Dave Lombardo (ex-SLAYER, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, MISFITS) and singer Mike Patton (FAITH NO MORE), will play at El Rey theater in Los Angeles tonight (Tuesday, August 22). The show is a make-up date for last night's DEAD CROSS concert, which was canceled at the last minute after Patton was involved in a "minor accident."

According to DEAD CROSS's publicist, "Patton is okay. He is getting stitched up and is raring to go. He thought he could skateboard to the show last night but he suffered a bad wipeout on the way."

In addition to Patton and Lombardo, DEAD CROSS features guitarist Mike Crain and bassist Justin Pearson.

DEAD CROSS is on the road supporting its self-titled debut album, which was released on August 4 via Ipecac Recordings.

Patton told Rolling Stone about the record: "It's funny. The few people that I've played the record for, I'm, like, 'Hey, what do you think of this thing I'm doing now? It's really funny, right?' And they're like, 'Funny? Jesus Christ, this is brutal.' I almost consider it like a vacation. It's fun. But different friends keep saying, 'Holy shit, this is not old school. This is something else. Patton, you've done something great here!' I'm like, 'Oh, okay. I did not know that.' So everyone's got a warped perception of what normal and weird is, I guess, is my point. None of them compete with me."

W.A.S.P. has recruited Brazilian drummer Aquiles Priester to sit behind the kit for the band's "Re-Idolized - The Crimson Idol 25th Anniversary World Tour", which is scheduled to kick off on September 25 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Born in South Africa, Priester has collaborated with such bands and solo artists as ANGRA, HANGAR, MIDAS FATE, PRIMAL FEAR, Paul Di'Anno (ex-IRON MAIDEN), Tony MacAlpine and Vinnie Moore. He is also known for having participated in the widely talked-about DREAM THEATER drummer audition which took place after Mike Portnoy had left the band. It was after that event that DREAM THEATER guitarist John Petrucci recommended Priester to another great guitar virtuoso, Tony MacAlpine.

Priester has released three educational publications: the book "Inside My PsychoBook: 100 Double Bass Patterns" (2011) as well as two DVDs, titled "The Infallible Reason Of My Freak Drumming" (2010) and "Top 100 Drum Fills" (2013).

Drummer Mike Dupke left W.A.S.P. in 2015 after a nine-year stint with the band. He was initially replaced on the road by YNGWIE MALMSTEEN drummer Patrick Johansson and, later, by Randy Black (PRIMAL FEAR).

Napalm Records will release "Re-Idolized", the twenty-fifth-anniversary version of W.A.S.P.'s iconic hit album plus the original "The Crimson Idol" movie on DVD and Blu-ray.

"Re-Idolized" will be made available on Blu-ray, DVD, CD, and vinyl later this year.

British extreme metal legends NAPALM DEATH have entered Parlour Studios in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England to begin recording their new album for an early 2018 release. Helming the sessions once again is producer Russ Russell, who has previously worked with THE HAUNTED and DIMMU BORGIR, among others.

In a recent interview with Metal Wani's Jake Patton, NAPALM DEATH vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway spoke about how the band's musical approach has evolved over the years as it has become more commercially successful.

"Our way of approaching things is always the same," he said. "Every time we make an album or such, the thought in our minds is not, 'How can we finally put our button on the secret to commercial success?' [Laughs] It doesn't roll that way with us. We simply try and make a combination of the best and most extreme that we feel we can at the time. Now, I think the one thing I would say is that in terms of making a good blend of the very traditional NAPALM stuff — the fast stuff — to the more skewed kind of NAPALM stuff, which is that, if you like, post-punk noise sort of very avantgarde stuff mixed in, I think we're starting to get better and better with that in terms of the mix; it's quite seamless now, in my opinion. And that side of things is what has seemed to make more and more people interested. Because I know a lot of bands' record sales are decreasing, but ours are going up."

Greenway also addressed the status of NAPALM DEATH guitarist Mitch Harris, who has been taking a leave of absence from the band since late 2014 to focus on his family life.

"Mitch is still a member of the band as such," Barney explained. "This is a situation that we're still working on now. As is quite obvious to people, Mitch hasn't been able to tour with us. I've gotta be honest — we don't know whether that situation is gonna change or not; we just don't. But we're not people to do anything drastic with that situation. We don't see things as irretrievable. So we are working on it right now. Mitch is still a member of the band. He most likely will record with us on the next album as things are; in fact, I think it's pretty dead set that he will. And that's it, really. There's nothing sinister behind it. It's a set of circumstances that have kind of worked out that way."

Harris took an indefinite break in the fall of 2014 to tend to a family situation and Wikipedia initially wrongly scrubbed him from the band roster. He has since been temporarily replaced by John Cooke (CORRUPT MORAL ALTAR).

NAPALM DEATH's last album, "Apex Predator - Easy Meat", was released in January 2015 via Century Media Records.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER will release its eighth full-length album, "Nightbringers", on October 6 via Metal Blade Records.

Rather than meticulously plan things out or stick rigidly to any kind of template, when it comes to writing, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER prefer to let things happen organically. "Death metal and nighttime are synonymous to me," Strnad explains. "We are the rulers of the darkened hours that the Christian good fears. A lot of archaic ideas that are still upheld — such as marriage and monogamy — came from Christianity, whether people want to acknowledge it or not, and to me, death metal has always been bucking that. It's 'being-the-villain music', because we're the enemy of Christianity, the enemy of all that is good and traditional. Death metal is for free thinkers, it's for showing people the path to inner strength and operating on your own will, instead of being told what to do and living in fear, and songs like the title track and 'Kings Of The Nightworld' are about leading a legion of awakened minds into battle."

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER is currently co-headlining "The Summer Slaughter Tour" with DYING FETUS, OCEANO, ORIGIN, SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL, RINGS OF SATURN, BETRAYING THE MARTYRS and LORNA SHORE as support. The official D.J. Sing-directed video for "Radical Eyes", a new song from PROPHETS OF RAGE, the supergroup featuring members of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, PUBLIC ENEMY and CYPRESS HILL, can be seen below. The track is taken from PROPHETS OF RAGE's self-titled debut album, which will be released on September 15 via Fantasy Records. The disc was recorded with legendary producer Brendan O'Brien who has done notable work with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and AUDIOSLAVE.

PROPHETS OF RAGE came together during 2016's tumultuous election to combat the coming storm, wherever it may lead. Following last summer's inaugural tour, the group knew it could evolve from protest performance art with a tactical mission, to a stand-alone entity with creative ideas all its own. Holed up with longtime RAGE collaborator, producer Brendan O'Brien, the band fused the diverse styles, sonic firepower and hard-hitting social consciousness of their previous work, into an inventive and compelling new musical statement, completing the album's twelve tracks in just over a month of recording.

Morello told Billboard that the members of PROPHETS OF RAGE have set a very high bar for the material that they want to release. "The goal is a simple one: The music has to be devastating," he explained. "In all these interviews, we talk a lot about the politics, but the cornerstone is that the music has to be devastating and we have to not just be competitive with our legacies, but in [2017], it has to be something that goes beyond that and is very authentic, unapologetic and contemporary."

PROPHETS OF RAGE made their live debut in May 2016 in Los Angeles.

During an August 21 appearance on the "Trunk Nation" show on SiriusXM channel Volume (106), ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell spoke about the progress of the writing and recording sessions for the band's long-awaited follow-up to 2013's "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" album. He said: "We're in the process of cobbling together some tunes, and hopefully in the very near future we'll have something out for you guys.'

Asked about a possible "target date" for the release of the next ALICE IN CHAINS disc, Cantrell said: "I don't know. We'll see. When we're ready, we'll let you know. [Laughs] But we are in the process of working on stuff, yeah."

Pressed about whether ALICE IN CHAINS has actually begun recording the new album or if the songs are still being written, Cantrell replied: "I'm not gonna say." He laughed before adding: "I will say we've got a few things brewing, so it probably won't be too much longer."

Asked if there are any ALICE IN CHAINS tour dates in the works, Cantrell said: "That's probably part of the whole package. But, again, one step at a time. We can't go out and do that until we make a great record, in our opinion, and then hopefully a few other people like it too."

ALICE IN CHAINS bassist Mike Inez revealed in June that the band was scheduled to enter Studio X in Seattle later that month to begin recording its new album. Helming the sessions once again is Nick Raskulinecz, who produced the band's last two studio efforts, 2009's "Black Gives Way To Blue" and the aforementioned "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here".

Studio X, which was originally owned by Ann and Nancy Wilson of the band HEART under the name Bad Animals, was the studio where ALICE IN CHAINS recorded its 1995 self-titled album.

"The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" was the band's second disc with singer William Duvall, who joined in 2006 following the death of Layne Staley.

"The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" sold 62,000 copies in its first week of release. It followed up 2009's "Black Gives Way To Blue".

The first two singles from "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here", "Hollow" and "Stone", both hit No. 1 on the rock radio airplay charts, while the album itself debuted on the Billboard album chart at No. 2.

BMG will reissue the solo catalogue on vinyl from IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson on October 27.

Dickinson's six solo albums span from 1990 to 2005 and have been cut from the original masters for reissue on heavyweight, black 180-gram vinyl in artworked sleeves. Two of the titles — "The Chemical Wedding" and "Tyranny Of Souls" — are being made available for the first time ever on vinyl. The four previously available — "Tattooed Millionaire", "Balls To Picasso", "Skunkworks" and "Accident Of Birth" — have been long out of print, with the latter two titles now expanded to double LPs for optimum sound.

SMASHING PUMPKINS frontman Billy Corgan — now going by his full name: William Patrick Corgan — will release his second solo album, "Ogilala", on October 13 via BMG. The disc, produced by Rick Rubin and recorded at Shangri La studios in Malibu, presents Corgan's distinctive vocals and melodies across a sparse, but rich palette of acoustic guitar, piano, and strings.

"For as long as I can remember the delineation point between songs I wrote for myself and songs I'd pen for whatever band was something I couldn't explain. And it remains so, for they all feel quite personal to me, no matter their time or era. The lone difference on songs for 'Ogilala' is that they seemed to want little in the way of adornment," said Corgan. "Having written the songs for voice and guitar, I put myself in Rick's hands to take the music wherever he'd like. Normally I would have done more, and tinkered more on production, but rather Rick put the onus on me to deliver at a molecular level via live takes. The rest was simply a reaction."

Corgan also released the album's striking first track, "Aeronaut", which is available in all DSPs. Fans who pre-order "Ogilala" will receive an immediate download of "Aeronaut". This fall, Corgan will embark on a solo acoustic North American tour that kicks off on October 14 in Brooklyn, New York and wraps up on November 11 in Los Angeles, California with a three-night stint at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. These intimate performances will see Corgan perform songs from "Ogilala", as well as a second set which will span works from his earliest days through his years as the frontman of THE SMASHING PUMPKINS and beyond. Original DIO drummer Vinny Appice says that he is unsure what to think of the hologram of Ronnie James Dio, which made its debut at last year's Wacken Open Air festival in Germany. Created by Eyellusion, the surprise appearance of the heavy metal icon during DIO DISCIPLES' set closed out the massive metal event which was attended by more than seventy-five thousand fans.

Eyellusion recently announced initial dates for "Dio Returns: The World Tour", featuring the Ronnie James Dio hologram reunited with the late rock star's former bandmates from the DIO band. The tour will make more than eighty stops around the globe, kicking off in Helsinki, Finland on November 30.

Asked by EonMusic for his opinion on the Dio hologram, Appice said: "I saw it [the tour announcement] the other day, and I went, 'How's that?!' It says 'DIO is back!'. I'm not in the band, Viv's [original DIO guitarist Vivian Campbell] not in the band, Ronnie is not here… I don't know. I haven't seen the first one, and I don't know. It depends. It's not really my thing. If the fans like it, love it, I'm for it. If they think it's a terrible thing, then it might be a little over the top."

Campbell told EonMusic earlier in the month that he was "not going to pass judgment" on the Dio hologram. He said: "The way I look at it is, if that goes on tour, that will raise awareness of DIO and the catalog, and by virtue of that, we will benefit because we're associated in some way, and they will benefit from what we're doing, so it's a very reciprocal kind of thing, and it's all good. Like I say, I haven't seen it, so I'm not going to pass judgment on it."

Campbell, along with Appice and bassist Jimmy Bain, was part of the original DIO lineup, which reunited in 2012 alongside singer Andrew Freeman to form LAST IN LINE.

When LAST IN LINE formed, the intent was to celebrate Ronnie James Dio's early work by reuniting the members of the original DIO lineup. After playing shows that featured a setlist composed exclusively of material from the first three DIO albums, the band decided to move forward and create new music in a similar vein.

The "Dio Returns" tour will also make stops throughout Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Paraguay, United Kingdom, Venezuela and other countries, with dates to be announced. The tour is expected to come to the United States in spring 2018 and play festivals globally during the summer. The Ronnie James Dio hologram will perform for the majority of the show, treating fans to an alternating set list that will feature songs such as "Holy Diver", "Rainbow In The Dark", "We Rock", "King Of Rock And Roll", BLACK SABBATH's "Neon Knights" and "Heaven And Hell" and RAINBOW's "Man On The Silver Mountain" and more. The "Dio Returns" tour will feature Dio's actual live vocals, backed by a live band consisting of former DIO and current DIO DISCIPLES members Simon Wright (drums), Craig Goldy (guitar) and Scott Warren (keyboards) alongside bassist Bjorn Englen (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN). Veteran metal vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens (JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) will also perform, with singer Oni Logan (LYNCH MOB) also joining on select dates.

The first in a series of video clips featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making of "BCCIV", the -awaited fourth album from BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION, can be seen below. The disc will be released on September 22 via Mascot Records. This is BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION's first studio album since 2013's "Afterglow".

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION is the Anglo-American rock group comprising vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, TRAPEZE), drummer Jason Bonham (LED ZEPPELIN, FOREIGNER), Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER, ALICE COOPER, BILLY IDOL) and blues-rock guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa.

Just like its three predecessors, "BCCIV" was overseen by Kevin Shirley, whose catalogue of hit records for LED ZEPPELIN, IRON MAIDEN, AEROSMITH, JOURNEY and THE BLACK CROWES has made him one of the hottest producers that rock music has to offer. Shirley, who originally had the idea of putting Hughes and Bonamassa in a band after seeing them jamming together onstage in Los Angeles back in November 2009, is the group's unofficial "fifth member."

Speaking to myRockworld about some of the lyrical themes covered on "BCCIV", Hughes said: "All the songs were written with a topic — what kind of song we're gonna write musically, what kind of song am I gonna write lyrics about? This album is about walking through the fear, having faith, hope, the killing of dolphins, which I'm against, of course. Look for a big video on [that song, 'The Cove'] — a big video. 'Wanderlust', a song that was written about my travels and always returning home, always safe… to get back home to a safe place. 'The Crow', a very intense rock track written about the bird that watches over the band; it's really a great song about the Black Country. I wrote a song for my father when he passed away, called 'Love Remains'. The chorus was very, very sensitive, and it sounds like a song written for someone that had just passed. So it's a very personal song for me."

As for the track "The Last Song For My Resting Place", Hughes said: "[BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION guitarist] Joe [Bonamassa said to] me, 'Hey, I've got this idea about writing a song about the head violin player… or the leader of the orchestra on the Titanic, and I said, 'That's a really good idea.' So he wrote a lyric about the violin player — a great Joe song that needed to be, as always… I mean, I love Joe, I love Joe's voice and I love Joe's work — I really do love him. And I thought it was a great opportunity to show how versatile Joe is on this particular song. So I'm really happy for Joe."

Elsewhere, the basic idea for "Over My Head" came to Hughes in the middle of the night. "[My wife] hears me singing, [singing] 'Over my head.' And she said, 'Honey, what's that?' I said, 'I don't know, but I have to go and record it,'" Glenn recalled. "And I left the bedroom and I went, [singing], 'Over my head,' and I just wrote a song around that chorus, that very melodic chorus. And I came back to bed, and the idea was recorded. And that's the way I took it to Joe and we finished it together."

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION's inception took place when Hughes and Bonamassa fused their styles on stage in Los Angeles in November 2009 for an explosive performance at Guitar Center's King Of The Blues event. With the help and guidance of Shirley, they further added to their rock lineage by recruiting Bonham and Sherinian.

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION has announced two exclusive concerts in Europe during January 2018 to support of "BCCIV". The band will play Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Tuesday, January 2 and London Hammersmith Apollo on Thursday, January 4. These will be the only two concerts the band will play in Europe.

I PREVAIL has released a new video for "Lifelines", the title track from the band's debut LP. The clip was shot in Detroit at the Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program, an organization which uses boxing to help at-risk youth with educational tutoring and discipline. Singer Brian Burkheiser told The Pulse Of Radio how the song itself sums up the themes of the album. "It's just those defining moments in your life where the path goes one way and you can't look back, and for better or for worse you're a different person coming out of whatever experience that is," he said. "I think it's just kind of us expressing those emotions through that song on everything that's happened to us. But we try to do it in a relatable way where people who are going through different things, whether it's a divorce or a loss of a loved one or whatever it is, you know, you can hone in on that emotion with that song."

Burkheiser said about the video: "We set out to create something that embodied what 'Lifelines' as a song and as an album really meant to us. It centers around the harsh reality that life doesn't care about what you have planned. The biggest moments, whether ones of amazing opportunity or painful loss, are coming no matter what. How you choose to respond makes you who you are."

I PREVAIL recently announced a massive fall headlining tour. The pro wrestling-themed "Rage On The Stage" trek will begin on September 20 in Oklahoma City and may end up hitting as many as fifty different cities before grinding to a halt on December 2 in Des Moines, Iowa. Support on the road trip will come from WE CAME AS ROMANS, THE WORD ALIVE and ESCAPE THE FATE.

Since the Detroit rockers formed in 2013, I PREVAIL has become impossible to ignore over the past year. Last week's announcement of "Rage On The Stage" follows their massive run on this summer's Vans Warped Tour, during which the band played the Journey's Left Foot Main Stage. Ozzy Osbourne performed Monday afternoon during a solar eclipse at a festival in Illinois.

The BLACK SABBATH singer headlined Carterville's Moonstock festival, and he played his classic song "Bark At The Moon" at the height of the eclipse at 1:20 p.m. local time.

According to The Southern Illinoisan, Ozzy walked on stage at Walker's Bluff as the first diamond ring of the eclipse appeared, and began to sing the song as the shadow of the moon swept across the crowd.

"I don't think I've ever been in this part of the world before," Osbourne told his fans. "I love you all. Thank you for coming to see me."

Nearly twelve thousand people reportedly turned up to see the eclipse and Osbourne at Walker's Bluff.

Cynde Bunch, owner of Walker's Bluff, told The Southern Illinoisan one-fourth of the tickets sales were from outside the U.S.

"In the campground, we have thirty campers from different states and twelve camp sites rented by people from outside the country," Bunch said.

Ozzy is joined on the current run of dates by guitarist Zakk Wylde, who was the SABBATH frontman's regular axeman from 1988 to 2007, although they've often performed together since then. Osbourne's touring lineup also includes Rob "Blasko" Nicholson on bass, Tommy Clufetos on drums and Adam Wakeman on keyboards.

Wylde originally joined Osbourne's band three decades ago and backed the legendary frontman from 1987 to 1995, then again in 1998, from 2001 to 2004 and also from 2006 to 2009. His guitar playing can be heard on Osbourne's studio albums "No Rest For The Wicked", "No More Tears", "Ozzmosis", "Down To Earth", "Under Cover" and "Black Rain". The first album with Wylde went double platinum and "No More Tears" remains Ozzy's most successful album, going four times platinum in the United States with four Top 10 songs on the U.S. Billboard chart. Wylde also appeared with Ozzy on three live albums.

German metallers, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, will release their new album, Der Rote Reiter, on August 25th via Nuclear Blast Records. A new teaser video for the album can be found below.

Der Rote Reiter was produced by the band and co-producers Alexander Dietz (Heaven Shall Burn) and Eike Freese (Deep Purple, Kai Hansen) at Chameleon Recording & Chemical Burn Studios.

The latest single from Sheffield-based, punk-fuelled metal outfit, While She Sleeps, has been revealed as the incendiary "Steal The Sun" and a new music video, directed by Ryan Chang, has been released. The track is taken from the new album, You Are We.

The clip incorporates a dark narrative alongside live footage and was filmed across Thailand, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong on the band's recent tour of Asia. Watch below.

2017 has seen While She Sleeps make it their mission to bring the truly heartfelt and socially conscious music of You Are We to far-flung corners of the world, as well as across their home country.
