Grindcore/death metal outfit, Implore, have launched the first online single/video off their upcoming album, Subjugate. “Loathe” is a 50-second grinding death metal assault. It’s one of the shorter tracks of the album, but sums up the direction of Subjugate quite well. So take a one minute break and check out “Loathe” below:

The cover artwork for Subjugate has also been revealed. The artwork as well as the entire layouts have been done by Brian D’Agosta who many of you will know from his excellent work for bands such as Vallenfyre, Goatwhore and others.

Righteous Vendetta have unveiled a new music video for their song "Weight Of The World". The video is for the current single off the band's new album, Cursed, which dropped back in March on Century Media.

Speaking about the concept behind both the song and the video, the members of RV comment: "'Weight Of The World' is an anthem that we feel a lot of people can relate to. No matter what your situation is, everyone has times where they do their best to keep it all together, but everything seems like it's crashing around them. We wanted to portray that tension visually, and Orie and the Enlighten Creative team really helped us achieve that. Alter Bridge have launched the digital pre-order for their upcoming Live At The O2 Arena + Rarities album that is scheduled for release on September 8th worldwide via Napalm Records. German metal band, Alpha Tiger, have released a new single and video for the song "Comatose". The track is taken from their forthcoming studio album, Alpha Tiger.

Guitar player Peter Langforth: “Is it just me or is the world completely out of mind" In a time when smart-phones dominate everyday life, I'm afraid that this question is becoming more and more common. We approached this issue with a wink and asked ourselves, how people would have responded to it more than a hundred years ago. The song ‘Comatose’ forms the musical bridge between our third record iDentity and the new album, and thus reflects the traditional side of the album. We wish you a lot of fun with the clip!"

"Keep The Dream Alive", the new video from Sweden's KRYPTONITE, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's self-titled debut album, which will be released on August 4 via Frontiers Music Srl. Sometimes musicians are put together who only know each other from afar via their respective recordings, but something clicks and triggers a magical moment. That's exactly what happened when Jakob Samuel from THE POODLES met up with producer Alessandro Del Vecchio on the heels of a concept created by Frontiers president Serafino Perugino. Together, they set off to work on a new band that could offer lyrical concepts that are deep and intelligent with music that operates within the genres they excel in. And most importantly, has a great energy and impact. Samuel, Del Vecchio and Perugino handpicked each musician to be part of their vision for a strong lineup of young and hungry Swedish musicians that would be ready to go out there and kick some ass. Pontus Egberg, formerly of THE POODLES and now the bass player for KING DIAMOND and TREAT, was the first one to enter the picture, followed shortly thereafter by Robban Back of MUSTASCH (and ex-ECLIPSE). The choice of guitar player fell to the young and immensely gifted Mike Palace. Mike showed his huge talents as a writer and performer on his band Palace's debut album and on several songs he has already written for the label. The recording and writing sessions flowed freely and the songs came naturally. This band will truly set a standard for what fans perceive as melodic hard rock in today's climate. It is classic, but modern at the same time, groovy and cool.

Michael previously said that SWEET & LYNCH was formed when Frontiers president Serafino Perugino approached him "to sing and write for what [Serafino] was referring to as a 'supergroup' project — (one of the first) that Frontiers would be putting together and releasing. I was, of course, not only intrigued by the idea but also humbled that he would ask me! Jon Levin [DOKKEN] was suggested as the possible guitarist and I suggested to Serafino getting the man himself, Mr. Scary [George Lynch] involved. Serafino was, of course, excited about the idea. Frontiers has told me how happy they are with my production on the new STRYPER albums, so I immediately suggested producing as well. Serafino also agreed. I contacted George [as soon as possible] and he quickly agreed to be a part of this exciting project. It was decided that he and I would co-write everything together and that I would produce."

Sweet, who is a devout Christian, also talked about his working relationship with George, who considers himself to be a freethinker/atheist.

"You may ask how does an atheist and a Christian work together in a band situation? The answer is respect. Although I don't agree with George's spiritual/religious views (and he doesn't agree with mine, assumedly), we respect each other as musicians, friends and human beings.

"I'm free to do many things with the hope that maybe, just maybe, my life might have a profound effect on people I come in contact with.

"I've spoken with George many times over and he always strikes me as a genuine soul and someone who cares for and loves people. Bottom line? He's a great guy and I'm proud to be a part of this with George.

"Although we don't see eye to eye in our beliefs, we respect each other enough to not let that come between us."

Lynch concurred, telling Antihero Magazine: "There could potentially be a conflict there between Michael and I, and we've talked about that. I'm sort of a freethinking atheist, and he's a born-again Christian. I've been through that in my life; I was a born-again Christian at one point. I was the guy knocking on your door handing out tracks. I played in a Pentecostal charismatic band that did revivals… tent revivals in black neighborhoods in South Central L.A. — yeah, all kinds of stuff. I definitely have something to say about all that, but I don't know how effective I am at it. I'm not RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE. I wish I was."

"Lvgvs", the new video from Swiss folk metallers ELUVEITIE, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's next album, the long-awaited second part of their acoustic concept effort "Evocation", which will be released on August 18 via Nuclear Blast.

ELUVEITIE mainman Chrigel Glanzmann states: "We're excited to present to you the second single and video clip of our upcoming acoustic album: 'Lvgvs'! Lugus is one of the most enigmatic, fascinating and mystical deities in the Celtic pantheon and occupies an important place in 'Evocation II'! And so is our brand new single: 'Lvgvs'. It comes with playful lightness, but is still very deep at the same time, full of mysticism, eclectic details, deepness and emotion. And furthermore we're also happy to have our good, old buddy Netta Skog from ENSIFERUM and her accordion on board in this song!"

"Evocation II" conjures another time travel to eras long gone. As the title already reveals, the concept of the first opus will continue and is entirely dedicated to the Celtic mythology. Even more, "Evocation II" takes you into the Gallic pantheon and bows down to the Celtic Gods after which the song titles are named. Anyone who will join ELUVEITIE on this journey will quickly notice that the character of each song is equal to the one of the god the song is about — and there is a lot more to discover!

Glanzmann stated about the new CD: "'Evocation II' is a journey back to the source of it all: Antumnos, the otherworld. Join us on this wayfare through the Celtic pantheon, the world of the gods of our ancestors! The album cover expresses nothing less but exactly this! It's full of symbolism and meaning and depicts things of deepest meaning and importance in Celtic mythology. The symbol contains the 'great wheel', symbolizing the wheel of the year with the four seasons and the equinoxes — forming the foundations of Celtic mythology. The great wheel is framed by a tripartite Enneagram; while three is an important number in Celtic mythology in general, we also face trinity in the Celtic pantheon! While the inner circle contains the initials of the names of the deities revered on this album — arranged tripartitedly according to their relations within the pantheon and place in the mythology — the outer circle utters an invitation as well as a blessing, a magical benediction for the one to dare to enter and set forth on this journey. The core of the symbol implies triune symbolism. The depiction shows the god Lugus, who was sometimes also adressed in the plural — Lugoves — since he's a triune god, as well as a tricephalos. The 'one with the skillful hand' and 'artisan of all skills' is depicted and a combination of two important symbols: On the one hand he's shown as 'high king' (and druid of druids), a typical gallic symbolism of an essential meaning and sigificance. On the other hand, he's framed by the gallic 'lord of the animals/lord of life' symbolism: The character surrounded with diverse animals, but being strongly connected with all of them at the same time. So after all, the album cover vibrantly and mystically expresses the content of 'Evocation II'! Join and let the journey begin!"

ELUVEITIE in May 2016 announced the departure of drummer Merlin Sutter, vocalist Anna Murphy and guitarist Ivo Henzi.

ALMANAC, the band featuring former RAGE guitarist Victor Smolski, will release its sophomore album, "Kingslayer", on November 3 via Nuclear Blast. The disc was recorded at HeyDay Studios in Wuppertal, Germany and once again features cover artwork by Hungarian artist Gyula Havancsák (ACCEPT, DESTRUCTION).

ALMANAC stands for a new dimension of symphonic power metal, featuring three singers Jeannette Marchewka (LINGUA MORTIS ORCHESTRA), Andy B. Franck (BRAINSTORM) and David Readman (PINK CREAM 69).

In March 2016, ALMANAC unleashed its acclaimed debut album, "Tsar", followed by a European tour along with ORDEN OGAN, as well as a European headlining tour earlier this year.

"Our second strike is complete," says Smolski. "'Kingslayer' is the logical follow-up to 'Tsar', just more compact, heavier and faster. The experience now under our belts gained from our many live experiences, including the two tours and festivals, has been fully implemented in the studio. The band have grown closer and stronger, you can feel this unified energy within the new tracks. We took a lot of time and gave our very best. 'Kingslayer' is a crafted metal album with a lively power sound!".

ALMANAC recently played at Czech Republic's Masters Of Rock festival, where they debuted the first two new tracks live, "Losing My Mind" and "Children Of The Sacred Path". The concert was filmed and will be part of a bonus live DVD which will accompany the limited first edition of "Kingslayer".

Continuing with their new licensing partnership with Victor Entertainment (Asia), Sliptrick Records announces the release of the debut EP from Japanese all girl band, Lovebites. The Lovebites EP will be made available in the US, Canada and Mexico via Sliptrick on August 31st.

Meet one the most promising rising stars of Japan’s female metal scene, Lovebites. The band consist of, Asami (lead singer), Miho (the band leader and the bassist), Haruna (drummer), Midori (guitarist) and Mi-Ya (guitar and keyboards). The Lovebites sound owes a debt to the many great overseas heavy metal bands that have directly influenced their writing. Coupled with their own unique take on music, with each members eclectic background and experiences, everything has culminated into forging a truly formidable group. Lovebites started working on their first EP at the end of 2016, joined by amazing an engineering team of Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila from Finland who are known for their work with Nightwish, Children Of Bodom and Amorphis to name a few. All the girls are exceptional musicians and coupled with their own unique brand of fire and attitude, the EP is simply a blast.

Two-time Grammy-winning thrash/metal legends SLAYER performed their iconic song "Raining Blood" on last night's (Thursday, July 27) edition of NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". They also took part in a "Tales From Tour" segment in which they shared road stories about a free throw gone wrong, leaving bandmates at rest stops and a crazy night in Canada. Immediately following yesterday's taping of "The Tonight Show", SLAYER headed over to New York's Theatre at Madison Square Garden where the band headlined as part of its summer U.S. tour.

In a recent interview with Revolver magazine, SLAYER guitarist Kerry King was asked if there are any plans in place for the band to begin working on a follow-up to 2015's "Repentless" album. He responded: "Funny thing is, 'Repentless' isn't even two years old yet, though it seems like it is. But from that session, there are six or eight songs that are recorded — some with vocals, some with leads, but all with keeper guitar, drums and bass. So when those songs get finished lyrically, if the lyrics don't change the songs, they'll be ready to be on the next record. So we already have more than half a record complete, if those songs make it."

He continued: "This is actually the most prepared we've ever been for the next record in our history; there's no reason to not do more work, because it's already more than halfway done. Just write four or five new songs, and give the others some attention, and we'll be good to go. If we get a down period of time, which I know is coming at the end of this year, maybe we'll focus on that and get to it."

Pressed about whether it's "conceivable" that we could see a new SLAYER record next year, Kerry said: "It's conceivable — but I'm certainly not gonna promise it, because every time I do, I make a liar of myself! [Laughs]"

"Repentless" was released on September 11, 2015 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2009's critically acclaimed, Grammy-nominated "World Painted Blood" was produced by Terry Date, who has previously worked with PANTERA, DEFTONES and SOUNDGARDEN. The artwork was created by Brazilian artist Marcelo Vasco in collaboration with Tom Araya and Kerry King.

"Repentless" debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, having shifted 50,000 equivalent album units in the week ending September 17, 2015.

SLAYER's six-week North American tour with LAMB OF GOD and BEHEMOTH kicked off on July 12 in Bemidji, Minnesota and will run through August 20 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Griffin Taylor, the 14-year-old son of STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor, joined the band on stage Thursday night (July 27) at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey to sing their hit single "Song #3". Video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

In a 2012 interview, Corey said that the then-nine-year-old Griffin had "an incredible ear for singing," but he didn't think that his son would venture into a recording studio anytime soon. "He already has the bravado," Corey said at the time. "It is pretty crazy. He wants to be an adventurer. That's what he tells me. He runs around the house singing and writing songs. But he says he doesn't want to do anything in music. We'll see when he gets a little older."

Corey, however, added that he probably wouldn't mind it if Griffin eventually chose to pursue a different career path. "I'm honestly not trying to push him away from music, but I almost want him to do something else," Corey said. "I never, ever want him to suffer in my shadow. I never want him to be in a position where he's constantly compared to me. And it's not that I am so full of myself. It's because I have seen it through the years with everyone from Zowie Bowie to Frank Sinatra Jr. They live in [their fathers'] shadows, and I don't want him to go through that. I want him to be his own man and create something for himself."

Taylor went on to say that if his song did decide to eventually become a musician, he would support him wholeheartedly.

"You know me," said Corey. "If he does get into music, I'll be cheesed to death. I'll be, like, 'Yes!!!' front row center every show. I'll get up and play piano with him."

Corey had Griffin in 2002 with his first wife, Scarlett. The STONE SOUR and SLIPKNOT frontman also has a daughter named Angie, born in 1992.

Taylor divorced Scarlett in early 2007. He married his current wife, Stephanie Luby, in November 2009 in Las Vegas inside the Palms hotel's Pearl concert theater.

Renowned Danish composer and classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Myrkur, has released a video for “Ulvinde”, featured on the upcoming Mareridt album. The clip can be found below.

The video, directed by Mats Ek, beautifully captures her longing for a place in nature, in peace, away from the 'real' world - a world that she explains "often feels I cannot and was never meant to function in." Inner and outer demons all come to life in breathtaking footage captured across Norwegian landscapes and scenery.

"Ulvinde" features Amalie Bruun on violin, guitar, piano, Wolves In The Throne Room's Aaron Weaver on drums, alongside Andreas Lynge and William Hayes on guitars plus choir singers Veslemøy Heyerdahl and Ida Sandberg Motzfelt.

“Mareridt” (translation: Nightmare) is a rich juxtaposition of the dark and the light; the moon and the mother earth; the witch and the saint. Myrkur explores deeper into the mysterious and the feminine with 11 tracks that further progress her visionary blend of metal with gorgeous, stirring melodies, dark folk passages, choral arrangements and superb, horrific beauty.

Mareridt was recorded between Copenhagen and Seattle with producer, Randall Dunn (Earth, Marissa Nadler, Sun O))), Boris). Like a marriage of King Diamond's Them with Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, Mareridt is a carefully composed concept freed from genre. It flows between English and Danish, from guttural growls charged with testosterone, to emotive feminine hymns and Kulning. The compositions sweep into one another like a soundtrack designed to guide the listener through emotional turmoil. One minute the songs are fighting back, the next lulling you to submission. AUGUST BURNS RED will release its seventh full-length album, "Phantom Anthem", on October 6 via Fearless Records. The follow-up to 2015's "Found In Far Away Places" was recorded with longtime producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland.

The Lancaster, Pennsylvania five-piece teamed up with SiriusXM Liquid Metal to premiere new track "Invisible Enemy" and has released an imaginative music video for the song.

Working with director Samuel Halleen, the band was turned into 3D marionette versions of themselves, with no details spared, even including a scene of one of their most iconic videos for "Meddler". To the clothes they wear on stage, to the small details in their personal instruments, this video truly captures the energy of AUGUST BURNS RED's commanding presence and even includes some of the band's top fans in the video.

AUGUST BURNS RED will kick off its European headline tour for the tenth anniversary of its much-loved album "Messengers", with performances slotted for the fall on Rock Allegiance, Houston Open Air and Aftershock festivals.

"Found In Far Away Places" marked AUGUST BURNS RED's second consecutive Top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200. The single "Identity" notched a Grammy Award nod in the category of "Best Metal Performance."

Earlier this month, The Dead Daisies brought their Live & Louder World Tour to Santiago, Chile and Mexico City, Mexico. The band has since issued a pair of highlight reels.

In other news, The Dead Daisies have announced a monumental return to Woodstock Poland, featuring in a gripping headline performance at a special Concert For Freedom with The Gorzow Philharmonic Orchestra on August 3rd.

Founder & President of Woodstock Poland, Jurek Owsiak has the following thoughts on The Dead Daisies and their return to his festival: “Woodstock 1969 became an incredible spark which inspired all freedom thinkers of the world to face their biggest challenge yet - striving to achieve freedom, independence, truth, and try to build a true fraternity of people across the globe. Alongside the announcement, The Dead Daisies are releasing a new video today for “With You And I”, which was fittingly filmed at the band’s inaugural performance at the Woodstock Festival last summer. It features imagery in line with values that the world seems to have sadly forgotten.

Singer John Corabi: “I think the lyrics to "With You And I" are especially relevant at the moment, you can't turn the TV on and NOT see some sort of human decay anymore. We're battling each other in so many ways, it's disturbing. Be it political party differences, the struggle of black vs. white, religious differences, terrorism, famine, disease, pollution, climate change, etc. - nobody is working TOGETHER in any way to find answers to these issues, and communicate as adults!”

In April 2016, Edmonton, Alberta-based metallers The Order Of Chaos had the distinct opportunity to play the Midi Festival, China's second largest international outdoor music event. It was an experience like no other that the power metal quintet will not soon forget. The sheer energy from the crowd was immense and thrilling for them to play for an audience that is still just beginning to embrace Western music.

The band's new video, "Indoctrination”, was all shot on location during the fest and BraveWords has the exclusive premiere.

"Indoctrination" is featured on The Order Of Chaos’ latest album, Apocalypse Moon, released via German label Killer Metal Records to follow 2013's Sexwitch EP. The album was recorded/mixed and mastered at the Physics Lab by Terry Paholek in Edmonton and features 12 tracks that showcase the talent and diversity of one of Canada’s up and coming heavy metal bands.

The album features Amanda Kiernan (Into Eternity) on vocals, John Simon Fallon and John Saturley on guitar, Tim Prevost on drums and Duncan Hickerty on bass guitar, who has been replaced by Barrett Klesko of All Else Fails for live performances.

Italian vampiric metal band Theatres Des Vampires "want to officially welcome our new guitar player Flavio Gianello to the team! Just recently Theatres Des Vampires released the video for their new single "Resurrection Mary", taken from the band’s latest album Candyland, out now on Scarlet Records. The video was directed by Patrizia Cogliati of Musicphoto.

This is how singer Sonya Scarlet describes the video: "“Resurrection Mary” has been inspired by a real ghost. Since the 1930s, several men have reported picking up a young lady while driving in the Chicago area. She is dressed in a white party dress and dancing shoes. When the driver gets close to the Resurrection Cemetery, the young woman asks to be let out, whereupon she disappears into the cemetery. With this video we wanted to give our own interpretation of the Resurrection Mary story."

Fan-filmed video footage of MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil's July 16 performance at the Masters Of Rock festival in Vizovice, Czech Republic can be seen below.

MÖTLEY CRÜE called it quits in December 2015 following an eighteen-month tour that saw the group performing to packed houses all over the world.

A tour film about CRÜE's final shows, "The End", came out last fall, and a film adaptation of the band's 2001 autobiography "The Dirt" is still said to be in the works.

Speaking to "Trunk Nation", Eddie Trunk's show on SiriusXM channel Volume (106), Vince acknowledged that he is currently the only member of MÖTLEY CRÜE who is waving the flag for the band's music by performing CRÜE songs as a solo artist.

"It's a cool thing, because I love MÖTLEY CRÜE, I love MÖTLEY CRÜE's music, and I love singing, and I love the fans' reactions when they hear the songs," he said. "Whether we're playing in front of a thousand people or twenty thousand people, I can only see the front row anyway. So I'm happy for me and for the fans to be able to still hear that music after MÖTLEY CRÜE is finished."

Neil reiterated the fact that he doesn't mind performing in much smaller places with his solo band than he was accustomed to playing with MÖTLEY CRÜE. "I always look at it like the best of both worlds," he explained. "You know, we had the big, giant MÖTLEY stuff and everything, and then you've got… I like going out and playing… We do fifteen-hundred, two-thousand, three-thousand seaters and some festival stuff, and it's fun to go out there and just let the music do the talking, as the song goes. And I don't miss it. I like just going out there and just raw."

Even though Neil's solo set consists exclusively of MÖTLEY CRÜE material, he says that he tries to keep things fresh by occasionally throwing in "deeper" album cuts that many fans wouldn't expect to hear in a live situation.

"Like [the] songs 'Red Hot' and 'Piece Of Your Action', we didn't have [them] in the set for a long time, and then I was, like, 'Yeah, let's just go ahead and let's do this,'" he said. "Then we added 'Red Hot' and we stopped doing it for a while, and then we just added it again."

He continued: "The old songs are… MÖTLEY didn't play all these old songs, and I enjoy singing these old songs, so it's fun for me and it's fun for the band and it's fun for the crowd."

Neil's solo band includes Dana Strum and Jeff Blando from SLAUGHTER, along with drummer Zoltan Chaney.

With All Their Might is the impending third full-length from UK death metal trio Dyscarnate. Set for release via Unique Leader Records on September 15th, the eight-track offering was captured by Stu McKay (Ingested, Acrania) at Studio 6 in England, and mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Aborted, Volbeat, Evergrey) at Hansen Studios in Denmark.

In advance of its release, the band has unveiled the Tom Bohan-directed performance video for first single "Iron Strengthens Iron".

"With All Their Might is the sound of us nailing our colors to the mast in no uncertain terms," says the band of their latest release. "We've always worked on each new album as its own entity, and feel the whole thing needs to flow as one cohesive piece. Every song has its place on the record, but the lyrics and feel of each one reflects a signature theme. We feel that while this record is the most complete thing we've ever done, it's also the most varied, dynamic, and evolved we have ever been. We have written this album for only ourselves, and as a result feel we have something our fans will really connect to."
