ALFAHANNE At Work On New AlbumSweden's self-styled Alfapokalyptic rockers Alfahanne, whose debut full-length album was released earlier this year on Dark Essence Records, are back in the studio preparing for their next album. With guest vocalists like Taake's Hoest, Shining's Niklas Kvarforth and Helheim's V'gandr on their debut Alfapokalyps - names that make most fans of extreme metal sit up and take notice - many are wondering what the band will pull out of its bag for its follow up, so guitarist Fredrik Sööberg took time out from working on the new material to give a hint about what to expect.
"Alfahanne has never been a band that does things the way others do them. So when it comes to the process of recording a follow up album to Alfapokalypse we do it our way, regardless of expectations. We do not record demos or pre-productions. We just jam the shit out of our equipment until we have a song we feel we can perform properly on an album. Then we record it. As with Alfapokalyps we record the material live and most often it is the first take that ends up on the album. We believe that if we can't get it right straight away, who are we to call ourselves musicians?
"Alfahanne is not about perfection and order. Quite the opposite. We are about emotions and chaos. The process of writing new material is as always quite easy for us. After releasing our first album we had so much inspiration left in us that we just kept going. Always inspired by the darkness that lies within the depth of humanity and the rotten illusion of our society. The songs just pop up like a big middle finger in the face of the world.
"As I write this, August has come to a close and we are about halfway through the recording, which, again as with Alfapokalyps, we are doing on our own, in our own Dödskult Studio, and we will continue the recording process during this fall/winter when we are not busy playing live. We can also reveal that our new album will have guest appearances by vocalists who we find suitable for our particular style of music, which we call Alfapokalyptic rock. As far as the sound is concerned we just have one thing to say: Alfahanne is always Alfahanne and we will always have our own distinctive sound. One thing we can safely say, however, is that this album will for sure be the best album released since Alfapokalyps."

As a young boy, he makes a discovery of an ancient secret that has been hidden for thousands of years in pre-Colombian jungle ruins. The secret he discovers is an ancient sacrificial drug called "GreenFire." As GreenFire's deadly addiction spreads like wildfire around the globe, it reaches a country called "Blue Soul Land." The havoc it creates in "Blue Soul Land" will unleash the rage of KillSmith with grave consequences.

PAVLOV'S DOG - First Album From 1973 Rediscovered After 41 YearsOn Novemer 28th, the believed lost Pekin Tapes by St. Louis, Missouri-based progressive rock/AOR band, Pavlov's Dog, will be released via Rockville Music.
The Pekin Tapes were recorded in October 1973, nearly two years before Pampered Menial, and were originally intended to become the band's debut album. They fascinatingly demonstrate the variety and wide-ranging musical scope of the early Pavlov's Dog, as the band itself handled the production, with no outside producer to answer to.
When ABC Records listened to The Pekin Tapes, they signed the band and decided to send them back to studio to produce a completely new album: Pampered Menial was released in 1975 and became a milestone in progressive rock history. The Pekin Tapes though were never used and finally forgotten.
Golden Voice Studio in Pekin/IL burned down in 1977, taking with it the masters of The Pekin Tapes. They were believed lost since then. Unexpectedly, in 2014 a copy of The Pekin Tapes was discovered. After going to extensive lengths to restore the tape, The Pekin Tapes will be released with a delay of some 41 years. Additionally, the release includes four bonus tracks of early demo recordings from March 1973. These are the earliest Pavlov's Dog signs of life ever discovered. 3

SHADOW SOCIETY Part Ways With Founding Member Adam Sagan; New Drummer AnnouncedTampa Bay, Florida-based symphonic extreme metal act, Shadow Society, have posted the following band lineup news:
"It is with a heavy heart that we write this press release to inform you, the fans, of a decision that has been made by the collective known as Shadow Society. We as a band have decide to part ways with our founding member, brother, partner and friend, Adam Sagan.
You see, the whole of the band is centralized in Florida all except for Adam. Due to the fact of Adam’s incredibly busy schedule and him living in Minnesota he has not been able devote the time and effort that as a band, including Adam feel is necessary to take Shadow Society to the next level. From day one Adam has always stated that he will not be a part of holding the band back in any way due to his distance. We tried to make it work for three years and accomplished much in that time but other opportunities have had to be passed on.
As a band; Asgrim, Rob, Dave, Adam, Kevin and Kadath feel that no longer can opportunities be passed on and all possible avenues be explored… So ends this chapter.
Enter now a new beginning… We are pleased to announce the successor to the drum throne of Shadow Society, Jonathan Lee. Some of his credits include: Acheron, Hell On Earth, as well as drum tech for Death and Control Denied. Jonathan is a longtime friend of Rob’s and lives in Orlando. With the addition of Jonathan the band will begin live performances after the recording of their full length debut album on Loud Rage Music due out early next year.
Please note, Adam is not gone… He will forever be a part of the Eclectic Collective and in his own words, “I will return if the band ever needs me”.
We as a band would like to thank Adam for his unwavering faith, dedication and self-sacrifice for the greater good of Shadow Society."
Updates to follow. 1

SLIPKNOT's New Drummer And Bassist Will Wear The Same Freshly Designed MaskIn a brand new interview with "Loudwire Nights" host Full Metal Jackie, SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor was asked if the band has been brainstorming about creating the right onstage persona for its new drummer prior to the release of SLIPKNOT's fifth studio album, ".5: The Gray Chapter", which arrives on October 21.
"We wanted to make something that still looked unified but still stayed with the spirit of what the band is all about," Corey replied. "Instead of trying to find something that was individualistic, we designed — well, [percussionist] Clown designed a mask that the drummer and the bass player will both wear. On one hand, they get a mask, but at the same time, it's not the individual mask that we in the band use. We knew that any attempt to do anything like that might be taken as disrespectful, but at the same time it's part of the way of moving, getting past the hardest steps, which is just moving on. So, we decided that we would come up with a mask that works for both the bassist and the drummer and that's what they'll wear on stage."
The first official single from ".5: The Gray Chapter", called "The Devil In I", has just entered the Top 20 at rock radio.
The album is the first without bassist Paul Gray, who died in May 2010, and drummer Joey Jordison, who was dismissed in 2013.
The identity of SLIPKNOT's new drummer is still a secret, although it is widely believed to be Jay Weinberg, son of longtime Bruce Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg.
It is also rumored that SLIPKNOT is no longer working with Donnie Steele, the group's original guitar player who has been playing bass since they resumed touring in 2011.
A new video teaser for SLIPKNOT's upcoming "Prepare For Hell" tour has given us a glimpse of Taylor's new mask. The band traditionally unveils brand new variations on its trademark masks and onstage outfits for every touring cycle, with the masks for 2008's "All Hope Is Gone" tour — the last time the group came out with new gear — much different from previous versions.
Taylor told The Pulse Of Radio that he's relieved the long wait for a new SLIPKNOT record is about to end. "You know, we're really excited about new music," he said. "We're excited about the next chapter, you know. Obviously it's a bit subdued, but at the same time, you know, it's still very much in the spirit of what we want and it's time for the next chapter."
Tickets for the "Prepare For Hell" tour, which will also feature KORN and KING 810, went on sale Friday (September 5). The trek kicks off on October 29 in El Paso, Texas, just a few days after the group's two-day Knotfest event is held in San Bernardino, California.
SLIPKNOT announced in December 2013 that it had parted ways with Jordison. The band has not disclosed the reasons for Jordison's exit, although the drummer issued a statement in January saying that he did not quit the group. 23

DAVE MUSTAINE's Medical Issues Force MEGADETH To Withdraw From MOTÖRHEAD's 'Motörboat' CruiseMEGADETH has been forced to withdraw from MOTÖRHEAD's Motörboat cruise for medical reasons. Heavy metal all-star band METAL ALLEGIANCE — featuring MEGADETH's David Ellefson and Chris Broderick — has been added to the September 22-26 cruise.
METAL ALLEGIANCE promises Motörboaters the rare opportunity to see a diverse group of metal legends interacting and performing together on the same stage. Singers Philip Anselmo (DOWN, ex-PANTERA), Joey Belladonna (ANTHRAX), and Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT), guitarists Chris Broderick (MEGADETH), Jon Donais (ANTHRAX, SHADOWS FALL), Scott Ian (ANTHRAX), Mark Zavon (KILL DEVIL HILL), bassists Frank Bello (ANTHRAX), Rex Brown (KILL DEVIL HILL, ex-PANTERA) and David Ellefson (MEGADETH), and drummers Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX) and Mike Portnoy (THE WINERY DOGS, ex-DREAM THEATER) will put their spin on a scorching set of heavy metal's most influential and recognizable songs.
MEGADETH issued the following statement about its unfortunate cancelation: "Due to complications arising from a previous cervical spine surgery, and upon his doctor's strict recommendations, Dave Mustaine has canceled all performances for the next eight weeks. With rest and treatment, he is expected to recover and resume performing soon. The band was looking forward to the concerts and cruise, and is disappointed that they will not be able to see their fans. MEGADETH expects to return to the road and will see their fans soon!"
"You can't replace a band like MEGADETH, who have done so much to change the landscape of heavy music over the past 30 years. We wish Dave Mustaine all the best in his recovery," says event producer Alan Koenig of ASK4 Entertainment. "But we're excited that MEGADETH's David Ellefson and Chris Broderick will still be joining us. The whole reason to do these music cruises is to give fans an experience that they can't get anywhere else — and bringing METAL ALLEGIANCE onboard with metal's most loyal fans fits that bill.”
Ellefson comments: "I'm really looking forward to being together with our friends and fans on Motörboat. METAL ALLEGIANCE is a great way to continue our brotherhood of all things metal."
"I always love getting together with my brothers and throwing down. The ALLEGIANCE jam is sure to be the best jam I've been involved with yet," says Philip Anselmo.
Rex Brown says, "We have jammed at some big metal events in the past, but METAL ALLEGIANCE is gonna blow EVERYONE on the Motörboat cruise right out of the water!!! Let her rip!"
Portnoy agrees: "I've been honored to have been part of some previous metal jams over the years and there's something very special and (Goddamn) electric that happens when you put this group of guys together in a room or on a stage. Myself and my brothers in metal on the Motörboat are metal lovers through and through and we love to get together to jam, have fun and pay tribute to the music that we all love so much."
The first annual MOTÖRHEAD's Motörboat will sail from Miami, visiting the ports of Key West , Florida and Cozumel just off Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula for the September 22-26 cruise on the Carnival Ecstasy. “The Loudest Boat In The World” will feature MOTÖRHEAD, ANTHRAX, METAL ALLEGIANCE, TESTAMENT, DOWN, HIGH ON FIRE, KILL DEVIL HILL, Zakk Wylde, JIM BREUER BAND, DANKO JONES, FIREBALL MINISTRY, WILSON and CILVER, as well as a spoken-word performance by legendary heavy metal musician, author, and television personality Scott Ian. While onboard, guests will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with band members and will see unforgettable performances on various stages throughout the ship. 3

BUSH: New Single 'The Only Way Out' Available For StreamingAlt-rock band BUSH has set an October 21 release date for its new album, "Man On The Run" (Zuma Rock Records/RAL). The group's sixth studio CD is being introduced via lead single "The Only Way Out", which can be streamed below.
Frontman Gavin Rossdale tells USA Today about the song: "It's a good gateway into the record. This record gets a bit wider and probably a little darker. This is just the right way in."
BUSH (vocalist/guitarist Gavin Rossdale, guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz and drummer Robin Goodridge) recorded "Man On The Run" with Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (MASTODON, DEFTONES, FOO FIGHTERS, ALICE IN CHAINS) at Studio 606, the Northridge, California-based studio owned by FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl. BUSH has also teamed with PledgeMusic for a special campaign that offers fans a chance to take a behind-the-scenes look at the new album, along with a number of Pledge exclusives, including limited-edition vinyl, hand-written lyrics, pre-order opportunities and more.
"Man On The Run" is the follow-up to 2011's "The Sea Of Memories", which was BUSH's first release in 10 years. That album saw them return to the top of the charts in grand style, with lead single "The Sound of Winter" making rock radio history as the first independently released song ever to hit No. 1 at Alternative Rock radio (where it stayed for six consecutive weeks). 2014 marks the 20th anniversary of BUSH's debut album "Sixteen Stone", which hit No. 4 on The Billboard 200 and included the No. 1 hits "Comedown", "Glycerine" and "Machinehead", as well as fan favorites "Everything Zen" and "Little Things". 2

Letter from Bono (U2)'Remember Us?'
A letter from Bono, on the arrival 'of our new baby' - Songs of Innocence.
'Hello, bonjour, ciao, hola, hallo, zdravo, dobar dan, Dia duit, hæ, hej, hei, cześć, olá, ćao, namaste, sawatdee, jambo, pozdravi, Γεια σου, ïðèâ³ò, שלום, مرحبا, こんにちは, , سلام, 你好, Ïðèâåò….
Remember us? Pleased to announce myself, Edge, Adam and Larry have finally given birth to our new baby… Songs of Innocence. It’s been a while. We wanted to get it right for you/us. We just finished it last week and thanks to Apple and iTunes it’s with you today. That’s already amazing to me as it normally takes a few months to turn this stuff around.
Part of the DNA of this band has always been the desire to get our music to as many people as possible. In the next 24 hours, over a half a billion people are going to have Songs of Innocence… should they choose to check it out. That is so exciting. People who haven’t heard our music, or weren’t remotely interested, might play us for the first time because we’re in their library. Country fans, hip hop afficionados from east LA, electro poppers from Seoul, Bhangra fans from New Delhi, Highlifers in Accra… might JUST be tempted to check us out, even for a moment. What a mind blowing, head scratching, 21st century situation. Over 500 million people… that’s a billion ears. And for the people out there who have no interest in checking us out, look at it this way… the blood, sweat and tears of some Irish guys are in your junk mail.
You’ll have noticed the album is free to U2.com’ers from the band. It’s also free to everyone on iTunes thanks to Apple. To celebrate the ten year anniversary of our iPod commercial, they bought it as a gift to give to all their music customers. Free, but paid for. Because if no-one's paying anything for it, we’re not sure “free” music is really that free. It usually comes at a cost to the art form and the artist… which has big implications, not for us in U2, but for future musicians and their music... all the songs that have yet to be written by the talents of the future… who need to make a living to write them.
We’re collaborating with Apple on some cool stuff over the next couple of years, innovations that will transform the way music is listened to and viewed. We’ll keep you posted. If you like Songs of Innocence, stay with us for Songs of Experience. It should be ready soon enough… although I know I’ve said that before…
I hope after listening to our new long player a few times, you’ll understand why it took so long. We really went there… it’s a very, very personal album. Apologies if that gets excruciating… actually, I take that back. No apologies if it gets excruciating. What’s the point in being in U2 if you can’t go there?
There is no end to LOVE.'

DROWNING POOL To Perform Entire 'Sinner' Album On 13th-Anniversary TourTexas heavy rockers DROWNING POOL will celebrate the 13th anniversary of their debut album, "Sinner", by performing the LP in its entirety on the 20-date "unLUCKy 13th Anniversary 'Sinner' Tour", which is set to kick off in late October.
"Sinner" was certified platinum within six weeks of its release in 2001, while the CD's first single, "Bodies", was one of the most frequently aired videos on MTV by a new band. DROWNING POOL reached out to an ever-greater audience with dynamic performances at Wrestlemania XVIII and Ozzfest during the summers of 2001 and 2002. Unfortunately, their streak of success was not to last. Shortly after rousing the crowd at Ozzfest in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 3, 2002, vocalist Dave "Stage" Williams was found dead of natural causes on the tour bus.
In January 2004, the band announced the addition of singer Jason "Gong" Jones. Their sophomore effort, "Desensitized", followed several months later. In 2006, Ryan McCombs assumed the vocal duties, and a year later they released "Full Circle", followed by a self-titled album in 2010. McCombs, the only singer to ever record more than one album with the group, departed the following year, and was replaced by SUICIDE HOOK vocalist Jasen Moreno, who made his official debut on 2013's "Resilience".

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Has Already Recorded Four New Songs For Next Studio AlbumLas Vegas metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH have begun tracking brand new compositions for the follow-up to last year's two-album set, "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell".
"We're at the studio right now, and we're recording some new material," FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH drummer Jeremy Spencer told Artisan News earlier this month while promoting his autobiography, "Death Punch'd: Surviving Five Finger Death Punch's Metal Mayhem" (see video below). "And after we finish the [fall North American co-headlining] tour with VOLBEAT, we're gonna go back in and try to finish up everything in the winter and then get something out late spring [or] early summer."
He continued: "We've recorded four [songs so far]. I'm liking what I'm hearing, but there's a long way to go, so there's no… We haven't, like, 'Cool, these are four singles.' It's not… We'll judge the body of work when it's done."
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's tour with VOLBEAT kicks off on September 16 in Salt Lake City.
The band will also appear at SLIPKNOT's Knotfest festival, scheduled for late October in San Bernardino, California.
The second volume of "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell" sold 77,000 copies in the U.S. during its first week of release to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard album chart last November. The first volume, which came out in July 2013, also debuted in the same position, although it sold a more substantial 113,000 copies. "Volume 1" has sold more than 414,000 copies to date. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's three previous albums have all gone gold for sales of 500,000 copies or more.
"Death Punch'd: Surviving Five Finger Death Punch's Metal Mayhem" was released on September 2 by HarperCollins. According to the publisher, Spencer's "personal journey through the wild highs and terrifying lows of the rock 'n' roll lifestyle is told with candor, redemption and enlightenment. The first-time author offers a wry and rollicking tale of music, addiction and recovery, revealing the path that served as a catalyst to make him the man he is today." 3

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY: 'On Your Way' Video ReleasedThe official video for the song "On Your Way" from CORROSION OF CONFORMITY can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "IX", which was released on July 1 via Candlelight. The CD was produced by the band and longtime comrade John Custer.
In a recent interview with The Obelisk, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY bassist/vocalist Mike Dean stated about the band's collaboration with Custer: "Our relationship has evolved with John, and some of his approaches to working with musicians have changed a little bit. He likes to work with an engineer, likes to be hands-on.
"For this one, we really wanted to take it out of the computer a lot more and to the desk. If we had the resources, we might not even use the computer, if I had a tape machine and a few more accoutrements. But given what we have, we decided to really get John to have a place where he had his own perspective on what was happening performance-wise, and through nepotism, I just kind of gave myself the job as engineer. It's something I'm interested in and want to keep perfecting, towards my own aspirations of producing other people's music and not having it be a sham where you have some musician you've heard of be a producer, but what did they really do? Getting my hands dirty is something I'm interested in, so it's a good situation being not too obsessed about my performance. It gives me some real work to do rather than being preoccupied, and it kind of allows John to stand back and have some perspective, and we kind of tag-teamed on the gear like that.
"Originally, John had a very specific idea in mind about certain parts, going back to 'Blind' and 'Deliverance', and now he's more about letting the performance happen and seeing where it goes, and like ourselves, he's reached a point with the over-emphasis on perfection that just makes a lot of today's music really boring and really makes you kind of smell a rat. Basically, we're kind of about a performance that has some emotion to it. When the performance gets too perfect via the computer, you start to smell a rat, and you start to wonder if the can play any of it. [Laughs] It's just not where we're coming from. He's right there with us on that. It's been good, the way things have evolved working with him. It's something that, while we've had this relationship for a while, it's a way to keep it fresh."
"IX" track listing:

FAITH NO MORE's MIKE PATTON, Ex-SLAYER Drummer DAVE LOMBARDO To Resurrect FANTÔMAS For Chile's RockOutStar-studded noise-mongers FANTÔMAS — who feature in their ranks FAITH NO MORE frotnman Mike Patton, MELVINS guitarist Buzz Osborne, MR. BUNGLE bassist Trevor Dunn, and ex-SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo — have been confirmed for the first-ever RockOut festival, set to take place December 6 at Espacio Broadway in Santiago, Chile. Also scheduled to appear on the bill are DEVO and PRIMUS, among others.
In a recent interview with Prog Sphere, Lombardo stated about FANTÔMAS: "It's one of the most amazing groups ever. I love that band. And I hope that Mike will say, 'Let's do this [again]!' My door is open. Mike and I, you know, we communicate. We have a great friendship."
Speaking to A.V. Club in 2008, Patton was asked if there was "still action with" FANTÔMAS. "It's slowed down a little bit because we've gotten distracted with other things, but I've started writing a new record," he said. "It's gonna be a bit of a stretch for us. I want to try to make an all-electronic record. I'm trying to figure out how to do that, the practicalities of doing that. So I don't think it will be out [for some time], but the band is still very much in my mind."
The brainchild of Patton, "Fantômas" is an anti-hero from a series of pre-WWI French crime novels, sometimes dubbed the "lord of terror."
FANTÔMAS' latest album, "Suspended Animation", came out in June 2005. The effort contained 30 tracks, each titled after a different day in the month of April.
FANTÔMAS' three previous releases regaled listeners with a sci-fi homage ("Fantômas", 1999), a celebration of the best in film composition ("Director’s Cut", 2001) and a one-song album ("Delirium Cordia", 2004).
FAITH NO MORE, which reunited in 2009 for a series of sold-out performances and international festivals, is currently recording its first full-length album since 1997's "Album Of The Year". An April 2015 release is expected.

RED ZONE RIDER Featuring VINNIE MOORE, KELLY KEELING, SCOT COOGAN: 'By The Rainbow's End' VideoRED ZONE RIDER, the new project featuring guitarist Vinnie Moore (ALICE COOPER, UFO), vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Kelly Keeling (BATON ROUGE, MSG, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA) and drummer Scot Coogan (LITA FORD, ACE FREHLEY, BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION), will release its self-titled debut album on September 16 via Magna Carta.
Imagine tuning into your favorite Album Oriented Rock (AOR) radio station in 1975 and hearing tracks by DEEP PURPLE, LED ZEPPELIN, FREE, MOUNTAIN, GRAND FUNK and other heavy rockers of the day. That era will always be considered The Golden Age of Rock Radio and The Golden Age of hard-rockin' bands, many of whom still are touring 40 years later. RED ZONE RIDER (RZR) has captured the sound and the feeling of music that not only defined an era but became the template for all heavy rock styles since then.
Moore says: "It's a very interesting project. I don't think I've ever done anything quite like this.
"I got an email saying, 'How would you like to play with this bass player who's also a great singer?' I found out it was Kelly, who I knew was a great singer but I didn't know he played bass and keyboards. Not only does he play bass and keyboards, he plays them both very well."
Coogan adds: "The first three songs were fairly easy, because they were already ideas Vinnie had. Then after that, we were, like, 'Right, now what do we do?'
"It was stressful, but the outcome was great."
"Red Zone Rider" track listing:

The "By The Rainbow's End" performance clip can be seen below.
Vinnie Moore burst onto the music scene in the mid-'80s, becoming one of a handful of guitar greats to have survived the sea change in rock during the '90s. Vinnie was first recognized by his melodic approach to neo-classical shredding. As the years went on, Vinnie's versatility became well known as he pursued his solo career and branched off to become a hired gun for such iconic bands as ALICE COOPER and UFO. Vinnie's membership in the world of guitar heroes began almost 30 years ago. He was first recognized as one of the first guitar phenoms of the mid-'80s. But his ability to play with feeling and attention to melody has separated him from the pack of über-technical string-bending wizards. Kelly Keeling has long been a "go-to" lead vocalist for big name artists such as George Lynch, MSG, KING KOBRA, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, etc. Equally adept at keyboards, bass and fretless bass, Kelly was totally thrilled with the opportunity to work with other world-class musicians in a genre that is right in his wheelhouse. Scot Coogan is best known for his drum work with Lita Ford, Ace Frehley, BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION and many more. Coogan has been performing with the Blue Man Group during their Las Vegas residency. Scot is also a very strong vocalist and can be heard on RED ZONE RIDER album. RED ZONE RIDER looks to be a band that will make a significant impact in 2014. Solid songwriting, excellent instrumentation and vocals powered by inventive and locked-in drumming will put RZR in the cross hairs of lovers of hard rock, classic rock and blues rock. This music is as relevant today as it would have been in 1975.
RED ZONE RIDER will take listeners on a musical journey spanning, at least, four decades. 4

MONSTER MAGNET To Release 'Milking The Stars: A Reimagining Of Last Patrol' In November2013 saw the release of MONSTER MAGNET's latest album, "Last Patrol". Now comes "Milking The Stars: A Reimagining Of Last Patrol", due on November 18 via Napalm Records.
Met with critical acclaim and supported by a world tour, "Last Patrol" has become a staple in the MONSTER MAGNET discography. Today the artwork, track listing and first song from "Milking The Stars" have been released. MONSTER MAGNET mainman Dave Wyndorf's pick for the first track he wanted fans to be exposed to is "No Paradise For Me". The song, according to Wyndorf, is "interesting, fucked up and old-school sounding." Check it out below. Says Wyndorf about "Milking The Stars": "'Milking The Stars' is a 'reimagined' version of 'Last Patrol' featuring four new songs and live tracks. "This was a happy experiment for me. It's not a remix record by the current definition. It's more like 'Last Patrol' in a 'what-if?'-style alternate reality.
"'What if these songs were recorded in 1968?' 'What would happen if I turned a pretty song into an angry one?' 'How would adding creepy organs and Mellotrons affect the emotional vibe of a song?' These are just a few of the questions that roll around in my head when I write and record any album but this time I decided to actually answer them with fully fleshed out, recorded and mixed examples. "The process actually created new songs. That's the icing on the cake for me. New sounds, new vocals, different instruments and arrangements make for a weird 1960's vibe totally apart from 'Last Patrol' which was fun for Phil, Bob, Garrett, mixer Joe Barresi and myself to explore. "Finally there's expanded versions of the songs 'Last Patrol' and 'Three Kingfishers' as recorded live at the AB club in Belgium, 2014. Both those songs were re-arranged for 'maximum rock and psych' before we hit the road last year and feature the debut performance of new MAGNET bassist, Chris Kosnik. Personally, I think they beat the original versions." "Milking The Stars: A Reimagining Of Last Patrol" track listing:
01. Let the Circus Burn02. Mindless Ones '6803. No Paradise For Me04. End Of Time (B-3) 05. Milking The Stars06. Hellelujah (Fuzz And Swamp)07. I Live Behind The Clouds (Roughed Up And Slightly Spaced)08. Goliath Returns09. Stay Tuned (Even Sadder)10. The Duke (Full On Drums 'N Wah)11. Last Patrol (live)12. Three Kingfishers (live) 2
