OZZY OSBOURNE Says His Biggest Fear Is Losing His VoiceAccording to The Pulse Of Radio, Ozzy Osbourne has no fears when it comes to performing, but there is one thing he worries about. He tells Kerrang! magazine: "I'm just hoping that my voice doesn't blow out, you know? Like, if you're playing a guitar and the guitar breaks, you can just get another one, but a singer's only got one voice. People say that you can fix it with Pro Tools or whatever, but no, not me! I have every damn thing before I go on stage — tea, steam machines, throat sprays, lozenges, chewing gum. Everything!"
In a 2007 interview with The News Tribune, Ozzy spoke about the difficulty of reproducing his recorded performances live. He said: "I was listening to the demo tapes of 'No More Tears' today, which was recorded, like, 15 years ago. And I would go, 'Fucking hell.' My voice has a lot higher range, you know. And I was talking to Bob Seger a couple of years ago when I was out with him, and I asked him, 'Can you still get up there? Like when you sing ['Old Time Rock & Roll'.]' He said, 'I have problems.' We all have problems. When it's going great, I love it. When it's going bad, I hate it. … There's a lot of people doing a lot of trickery, with fucking machines and everything. Like a friend of mine went to see Madonna, and apparently she does the whole fucking thing lip-sync."
Ozzy told BBC that he went into the recording sessions for BLACK SABBATH's comeback album, "13", with the intention of being able to pull off all the material onstage. He said: "You'll notice on the album that I'm not singing in a range that I can't sing live. Like in the old days, I used [studio] trickery — I'd do a verse and then I'd take a break, then do a chorus — and when it was all mixed together, I couldn't do it live. And I could do every one of these tracks live on stage. [But producer Rick Rubin] had me sing it in a range that was comfortable to sing."
BLACK SABBATH has announced that it will play its last show ever in the U.S. on November 12 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The gig will take place nearly five years to the day that the legendary act announced its reunion.
San Antonio is also home of the Alamo which is a significant place in Ozzy Osbourne's legend since he was arrested for public urination and intoxication at the landmark in February 1982. He revisited it and apologized, again, for his upcoming series on History.
The group has also added two more headlining shows to its North American trek, on November 8 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma and November 10 at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
These dates and the previously announced headlining slot at at the Ozzfest Meets Knotfest weekend event on Saturday, September 24 in San Bernardino, California come at the end of the band's North American tour, which kicks off on August 17 in Wantagh, New York.
SABBATH is currently on tour in Europe for a mix of summer headlining and festival performances. They will make their final visits to Mexico and South America at the end of the year as they wind down their farewell tour.
SABBATH will bring its storied career to a close in the band's native England, with seven shows booked there in January and February. The last two, on February 2 and February 4, will take place in SABBATH's hometown of Birmingham and will be their final shows.
The original lineup of SABBATH came together in 1969 with Ozzy Osbourne on vocals, Tony Iommi on guitar, Geezer Butler on bass and Bill Ward on drums. That lineup recorded and toured through 1978, and periodically reformed through the '90s and 2000s for live work.
They regrouped again in late 2011 for a new album and tour, although Ward dropped out after just a few months. The remaining trio issued the "13" album in 2013 and backed it with a successful world tour — despite Iommi being treated for lymphoma since 2012. 13

METALLICA: Expanded Release Of 'No Life 'Til Leather' Delayed Due To 'Legal' IssuesThe previously announced expanded version of METALLICA's 1982 demo tape, "No Life 'Til Leather", which was supposed to arrive last summer on CD, vinyl and limited-edition deluxe box set, has been delayed due to legal issues.
"No Life 'Til Leather" was released as a limited-edition cassette for Record Store Day in April 2015, available exclusively in independent record stores. It featured artwork copies from drummer Lars Ulrich's own personal copy of the original demo, as well as his handwriting. At the time, the band also promised that expanded editions of the demo, which had never before been commercially available, would arrive on CD, vinyl and in a collector's set.
The seven-song tape was recorded with the first lineup of the band that appeared live as METALLICA, including Ulrich, frontman James Hetfield, lead guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist Ron McGovney. The original recordings were paid for by High Velocity record label owner Kenny Kane, with a view of making them available as an EP in 1982.
Speaking exclusively to Metal Forces, Ulrich explained why the expanded version of "No Life 'Til Leather" has not yet seen the light of day. "There were some unexpected difficulties on the legal side that prevented the 'No Life 'Til Leather' box set and our vision for how we were going to kick this whole reissue series off," he said. "We spent some time doing that dance, but then James and I decided that it wasn’t worth it getting bogged down in all the unpleasantries, because this was supposed to be a celebration and not end up being a tug of war, so we thought, 'You know what? Fuck it. We'll just move on to 'Kill 'Em All'."
Ulrich did not want to get into the details of the exact issues that are preventing the demo tape from being released. "It's a little more complicated than that," he revealed. "There's no reason to go deeper into it. It was just something that we hadn't expected."
The drummer made it clear, however, that METALLICA was still hopeful that the expanded version "No Life 'Til Leather" would arrive at a later date. "As you know, I am the eternal optimist, and I am the eternal 'glass is well fucking half full,' so who knows?" he said. "I think some of those parties have circled back around now that they've seen that this is real and so we'll have to see. It would be great to share 'No Life 'Til Leather' in a year or two with our fans and with the people that care. We haven't shut the door on it."
"No Life 'Til Leather" was recorded on July 6, 1982 at Chateau East Studio in Tustin, California. All the songs on the tape later appeared on the band's 1983 debut album, "Kill 'Em All", including "Hit The Lights", "Motorbreath", "Jump In The Fire", "Seek And Destroy", "Metal Militia", "Phantom Lord" and "The Mechanix", which was renamed "The Four Horsemen" on the album.
"No Life 'Til Leather" track listing:
01. Hit The Lights02. The Mechanix03. Motorbreath 04. Seek & Destroy 05. Metal Militia 06. Jump In The Fire07. Phantom Lord
"No Life 'Til Leather" recording lineup:

Late MOTÖRHEAD Drummer PHIL “PHILTHY ANIMAL” TAYLOR Left £1.3 Million In His Will, But Nothing To His WifeMotörhead's drummer, Phil Taylor, left a will worth £1.3 million, but made sure his wife was excluded, according to AOL Money UK. Taylor (otherwise known as Philthy Animal) died last November at the age of 61, just seven weeks before the death of Lemmy, Motörhead's frontman.
In the time leading up to Taylor's death, he was concerned that his estranged wife might try to get a share of his fortune, so his will made it very clear that she was to get nothing. The Daily Mirror reported that the pair had married 15 years earlier, but their relationship broke down almost immediately, and she left a few weeks later.
The Daily Mail reported that Taylor had tried to track her down, so he could divorce her before he died. He even employed a private investigator, but with no success. As a precaution, he mentioned her in his will, to note that they had had "no contact... since shortly after the date of our marriage."
Weeks before he died, he secured a divorce on the basis of the years they had spent apart. Most of his estate went to his two sisters, Linda Taylor-Fry and Helen Greenwood.

MARK TREMONTI Talks About Differences Between ALTER BRIDGE And TREMONTI (Video)In a brand new interview with FaceCulture, Mark Tremonti was asked about the differences between his songwriting approach for his TREMONTI solo project and that of ALTER BRIDGE. He responded (see video below): "ALTER BRIDGE is… it's gotten heavier and heavier and heavier and heavier as the years have gone by. Now that I've gotten to do the TREMONTI stuff and get heavy with the TREMONTI stuff, now when I go back to ALTER BRIDGE, I've kind of purged a lot of the heavy stuff and I can be more back in the ALTER BRIDGE world, where it's more anthemic; ALTER BRIDGE is more epic, big songs. But Myles [Kennedy, ALTER BRIDGE singer], over the years, has written more and more heavy stuff, so when me and Myles get together now, we're writing heavier stuff than we ever have, but I think ALTER BRIDGE just has… Myles can do things with his vocals that I could never do, and ALTER BRIDGE lends itself very well to that big, epic feel. We like to leave a lot of space, we like long songs, we like to mess with our arrangements, where TREMONTI is kind of more heavy, fast [and] to the point."
ALTER BRIDGE recently inked a deal with Napalm Records for all territories excluding North America.
The band is currently working on its fifth album with producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette for a fall release.
ALTER BRIDGE's last album, "Fortress", was released in 2013 and featured the Active Rock Top 15 single "Addicted To Pain".
When ALTER BRIDGE is on hiatus, Kennedy can be found fronting Slash's band, SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS.
Tremonti released the third effort from his band TREMONTI, titled "Dust", on April 29. 1

IN THIS MOMENT Guitarist CHRIS HOWORTH Diagnosed With Acute Arthritis In His Neck And ShouldersIN THIS MOMENT guitarist Chris Howorth is "determined to continue writing and performing" with his band despite the fact that he has been diagnosed with "acute arthritis" in his neck and shoulders.
Howorth's diagnosis comes less than two months after IN THIS MOMENT was forced to cancel its European tour due to what was described at the time as an injury to Chris's neck.
The guitarist, who co-founded IN THIS MOMENT more than a decade ago with singer Maria Brink, revealed in a new Instagram post that he woke up one day several weeks ago "in severe pain and unable to move my head in any direction; it felt like my neck was fused." Believing that he "must have unknowingly injured" his neck while working the day before in the band storage unit, Howorth immediately sought medical attention. Now, after four weeks of therapy and medication, Chris reports that he is "getting some mobility back."
After receiving his diagnosis from doctor, Chris says that he has accepted the fact that he will have to learn to live with the arthritis "from now on" but insists that he is "determined to continue writing and performing with my band."
He added: "I am gutted that this affected our European tour but I am truly grateful for your support and understanding. We hope to make it up to you as soon as we can. I'm looking forward to seeing friends and fans this summer in the States."
Brink recently ruled out the possibility of IN THIS MOMENT touring with a replacement guitarist, explaining that Chris "is my partner, brother and one of my closest friends. I can't bring myself to do this tour without him. It simply would not be IN THIS MOMENT."
IN THIS MOMENT's North American tour is scheduled to kick off on June 17 in Sioux City, Iowa.
IN THIS MOMENT recently spent time at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada with producer Kevin Churko (FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, HELLYEAH, PAPA ROACH, DISTURBED) working on the follow-up to "Black Widow", tentatively due later in the year.
IN THIS MOMENT will be the special guest on this summer's ROB ZOMBIE and KORN co-headlining amphitheater tour, dubbed "Return Of The Dreads". The trek will kick off in July and will visit 25 North American cities, including Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, Seattle, Las Vegas and more.

Bassist JEFF GOLDEN Was Fired From CROWBAR Via Text MessageFormer CROWBAR bassist Jeff Golden spoke to House Of Tortured Souls about the circumstances that led to his exit from the band less than three years after he first joined the New Orleans-based group. He said: "It wasn't a surprise at all. I actually knew it was going to happen, and I actually knew that's what that phone call was about. There was a phone call first, then we said it was all going to be worked out, and then I get a text message five minutes later saying I was fired. So, no, it wasn't a surprise at all. I heard rumors about three months ago that the original guy [Todd 'Sexy T' Strange] was back, and when I brought it up, they [CROWBAR] said it was just a rumor and it wouldn't happen and they definitely wouldn't do that to me. But, yeah, I could tell something was up, and it was said in one of the comments that it was told to me, but it was never told to me. I found out through Facebook."
Asked what reason CROWBAR gave him for wanting him out of the band, Golden said: "Ah, they gave me a few reasons, none that really were enough to — that I would think — to be let go, and I'll just leave it at that. I was told a few reasons. I'm still friends with one of the guys in the band. He and I always got along and will keep that friendship going. You know, it's like Kirk [Windstein, CROWBAR frontman] said on his post, 'A band is like being in a relationship. Sometimes it doesn't work out.' It's like sometimes business is business, and friendship is friendship. I just think the way it was handled was poor. I mean, only one of the guys and I remain friends, and that's just the way it is for now. Maybe later everything will be cool, but for now it's... I'm just going to focus on my new music thing. And they've got Todd, so it's going to work out for everyone in the long run."
Golden joined CROWBAR in September 2013. The 34-year-old musician hails from Bolton, Connecticut, but lived in Estero, Florida prior to hooking up with CROWBAR and moving to Louisiana.
CROWBAR's follow-up to 2014's "Symmetry In Black" album is due later in the year. The CD was recorded at OCD Recording And Production in Metairie, Louisiana with engineer/producer Duane Simoneaux.
Windstein recently stated about the musical direction of the new CROWBAR material: "It's more of meat and potatoes. On the last few records, we brought a lot of new elements into the band a little bit without deviating too far from what CROWBAR's about. But this is more like… I went back and started listening to early CROWBAR, and it's more of that attitude, but more mature — every bit as angry, every bit as heavy, every bit as depressed… doomy, whatever you wanna call it. But doing it this many years later, I really like what we've got going on.""Symmetry In Black" sold around 3,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 68 on The Billboard 200 chart.

BRING ME THE HORIZON Singer Says Band Hasn't Sold OutAccording to The Pulse Of Radio, BRING ME THE HORIZON frontman Oli Sykes said in a new interview with BBC Radio One that the band's recent shift toward a more commercial sound isn't a case of "selling out" because the group was always headed in that direction. Sykes explained: "We always wanted to be the catchiest, heaviest band. It wasn’t intentional to become an A-list radio band. It was just the music we like. We like pop music. We like catchy songs. But we also like heavy songs. None of it feels forced — none of it feels like we’re selling out. It’s real, and it’s good."
Sykes told The Pulse Of Radio that the band's musical progression goes hand in hand with their growth as people. "It's got to be true to where we are at," he said. "I think some bands at this age, when you get into fifth album and stuff as well, are still trying to sing about the same things and stuff to make the kids happy that used to listen to them. But if it's not true to what you are, it's not where you're at in life, it's gonna look transparent. I think that's why we've managed to carry on as a band, because we've always evolved and we've always made music that we still really, really love. It's not music that we used to love."
Sykes added that the band's evolution hasn't cost them any fans, saying: "That's why people from the scene still respect us, and new people are getting into it — it doesn’t feel like something we’re doing for any other reason than because we love it."
BRING ME THE HORIZON is currently riding high on the U.S. rock radio chart with "Happy Song", which peaked at No. 3 and is still in the Top 10. The track is taken from the band's fifth album, "That's The Spirit", which debuted last September at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The lead single from the set, "Throne", topped the Active Rock radio chart in November.
BRING ME THE HORIZON will be touring Europe for the rest of the summer. 8

82-Year-Old 'Bodies' Singer Talks About His New Fame After Auditioning For 'America's Got Talent'82-year-old John Hetlinger, who became a viral video sensation this week when he appeared on the NBC series "America's Got Talent" and belted out the DROWNING POOL classic "Bodies", tells KUSA that he was surprised by the reaction to his performance.
"I didn't know two and a half thousand in the audience would react the same way that 30 drunks in the bar do, but they did!" he said.
"Everybody seems to think it's great that an old man is screaming 'let the bodies hit the floor!'" John added.
Hetlinger, who was a Navy pilot, later a minister and then an aerospace engineer for Ball Aerospace in Boulder where he worked on a team that made repairs to the Hubble telescope, said that he is not bothered by any of the criticism of his performance.
"There are reviews in all the heavy metal magazines and all over the world, but they include statements like, 'Well, admittedly he doesn't sing very well,'" John said with a laugh.
John, who also has ROB ZOMBIE's "Dragula" in his repertoire, got hooked on karaoke after singing during talent shows on cruise ships in the '90s.
"He likes attention," John's wife, Marcy, said. "He's the youngest of five kids."
Hetlinger's appearance on "America's Got Talent" caught the attention of DROWNING POOL guitarist CJ Pierce, who told Loudwire that the band is trying to contact the 82-year-old and invite him to one of their shows. Pierce said about the possibility of jamming with Hetlinger: "The feelers are out there and I think it would be fun. Obviously he had a great time with the song and we have a great time with the song every night so it would be awesome to have him onstage with us."
Pierce said he first heard about Hetlinger's performance when family and friends starting texting him about it, explaining: "I picked up my phone and I got a handful of texts from a number of people because I guess it got out yesterday ahead of the airing… I watched it, and man, I am so entertained by it. It's awesome to just see an 82-year-old man get out there and just belt out some metal — whether it was our song or any song, it was just killer to see him do that."
Pierce adding jokingly about DROWNING POOL's history of changing singers, "You know, we've had a revolving door, but Jasen Moreno is our man right now. But if he doesn't work out, we always know we've got John on the backburner."
Pierce said that the band would "love to get in touch" with Hetlinger and hopes he "gets in touch with us."
"Bodies" was DROWNING POOL's first big hit back in 2001, when it appeared on the band's debut album "Sinner". The band's original singer, Dave Williams, died that August of heart disease.
Despite being a huge rock radio smash, it was removed from radio playlists for a while later that year in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
DROWNING POOL's sixth studio album, "Hellelujah", came out earlier this year and features the singles "By The Blood" and "Hell To Pay". 2

DEFTONES Frontman CHINO MORENO's SAUDADE Project Planning To Release More MusicDEFTONES singer Chino Moreno has told TeamRock that his new band SAUDADE has a number of new songs in various stages of completion.
The ethereal outfit also includes BAD BRAINS guitarist Dr. Know, BAD BRAINS/CRO-MAGS drummer Mackie Jayson, jazz keyboardist John Medeski and bassist Chuck Doom, who also plays with Moreno in CROSSES.
SAUDADE in April released a track, also called "Saudade", that is available on BitTorrent. And now Moreno says that the group has another "12 to 13 songs" written.
He told TeamRock: "Most of it is instrumental. There may be some stuff with me singing on it, but mostly I'm just playing guitar.
"It's just fun. At this point it's not so much a band as a project. These are guys that I admire and I'm lucky to be friends with them — so we made a batch of songs together.
"Slowly but surely, they will probably come out — but it's more likely to be something that I leak out or let people hear, as opposed to something we'll package up and try to sell. That's not the idea behind it."
Moreno also talked about Dr. Know's health after the BAD BRAINS guitarist was hospitalized last November in serious condition, with what was initially cardiac arrest turning into multiple organ failure.
Moreno said: "He's actually getting better and he's in therapy right now to try and get back to normal, but it's looking very good. He'll be back in form, sooner or later."
In addition to DEFTONES, CROSSES and now SAUDADE, Moreno's other projects include TEAM SLEEP and PALMS.
Moreno and DEFTONES released their eighth studio album, "Gore", in April. The LP debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 with 71,000 copies sold.

MORBID ANGEL Frontman STEVE TUCKER's WARFATHER: 'The Grey Eminence' Album Artwork, Track ListingDeath metal horde WARFATHER, the project fronted by MORBID ANGEL bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker, will release its sophomore album, "The Grey Eminence", on September 16 via Greyhaze Records. The follow-up 2014's "Orchestrating The Apocalypse" was produced by former MORBID ANGEL guitarist Erik Rutan, marking the first time Tucker and Rutan have worked together since MORBID ANGEL's "Gateways To Annihilation" album.
"The Grey Eminence" track listing:
01. Orders Of The Horde02. Headless Mean Can No Longer Speak03. Judgement, The Hammer04. For Glory Or Infamy05. The Dawning Inquisition06. Heedless Servant07. Carnage Of The Pious08. Grey Eminence09. Fair And Final Warning
The cover artwork for the CD can be seen below.
Said Tucker: "I am extremely excited for the release of 'The Grey Eminence'. I feel that this album is one of the best things that I have ever been a part of! Erik Rutan did an amazing job on the production and the songs speak for themselves!" Rutan added: "Recording with Steve and the guys on the new WARFATHER album has been fantastic! It has been a blast to be working on this monster album in the studio once again with my great friend and former bandmate. The songs are heavy as hell and just outright awesome. We have some great tones and performances."
WARFATHER saw Tucker back to fronting a death metal outfit after over a decade since his departure from MORBID ANGEL, and over two years since his participation as a vocalist and writer in the well-received Nader Sadek project.
Tucker said: "WARFATHER is more than just a metal band; it is a belief system and a meeting of the minds, the ones that can see what is truly happening in the times we are living in. [It] is a warning to the eyes that choose to be blind, and a call to arms to the minds that do feel the coming changes. It is pure blackened, apocalyptic death metal."
MORBID ANGEL guitarist Trey Azagthoth announced a year ago that the band had reunited with Steve Tucker and that they were working on material for the group's next record.

Video: UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER Performs ACCEPT Classics At Czech Republic's METALFEST OPEN AIRVideo footage of DIRKSCHNEIDER, the band fronted by former ACCEPT and current U.D.O. singer Udo Dirkschneider performing on June 5 at the Metalfest Open Air in Pilsen, Czech Republic can be seen below.
Featured songs:
* Breaker* Princess Of The Dawn* Restless And Wild* Son Of A Bitch* Monsterman* T.V. War* Metal Heart* Fast As A Shark* Balls To The Wall
Dirkschneider will embark on a North American tour in January 2017 during which he will perform ACCEPT songs one last time before he closes the chapter for good.
Asked about his decision to perform classic songs from ACCEPT for the last time under the DIRKSCHNEIDER banner, Udo told rock journalist Mitch Lafon: "A lot of people ask me, 'Why do you do this?' And I said… Always people are asking, 'Oh, can you play this ACCEPT song and this ACCEPT song and this ACCEPT song?' I mean, I have fifteen U.D.O. albums out, and, for me now, U.D.O. is U.D.O. Of course, I know that the people like to hear ACCEPT songs with my voice, but I wanna close something — I wanna close, like a book, and say, 'Okay, that's it. I read it.' Sometimes you have to come to an end with something. I wanna close up everything with ACCEPT. And this will be the last time. And I said, okay, I'll do one more tour. It will be a world tour. And yeah, that will be the last time that you… When we are on tour with U.D.O., we'll never play any ACCEPT songs again."
He continued: "I also wanna stop to be compared with… Now ACCEPT is still on tour, and they have a new singer, and they are doing also 'Balls To The Wall' and they are doing also 'Metal Heart', they do 'Princess Of The Dawn'. And I don't wanna be always compared and have to say, 'What do you think about this and this and this?' This is also another reason. I wanna close the ACCEPT chapter. I mean, it was a great… I mean, in a way, I was creating this band, you know. Sometimes you have to say, 'Okay, that's it.' I have enough U.D.O. songs, so I can play more U.D.O. songs and be U.D.O. I can say without being arrogant, U.D.O. has its own fan base now. Sometimes you have to say, 'Okay, that's it.'"
To those fans that still want to experience the classic ACCEPT songs performed live, Udo has this message: "There is a band called ACCEPT. And please, if you wanna hear these songs, please go then to [see] ACCEPT. [Laughs] So that's the only thing I can say. Now you'll have the chance [this] year to hear it with the original voice, but Mark [Tornillo, current ACCEPT singer] is doing a — I would say — really good job on it, so please go there and listen then to ACCEPT and U.D.O. is then U.D.O."
Regarding what makes the classic ACCEPT songs so special, Udo said: "I don't know what is special. You never can tell it, really. Like [DEEP PURPLE's] 'Smoke On The Water', in a way, something like this. Sometimes there's a song that, in a way, that stays forever."
The April 2 DIRKSCHNEIDER concert at Kaminwerk in Memmingen, Germany was professionally filmed and recorded for a DVD and CD release later this year.
DIRKSCHNEIDER is:

HELLYEAH's 'Unden!able' Cracks U.S. Top 20HELLYEAH's fifth album, "Unden!able", debuted at No. 18 on The Billboard 200, having shifted 21,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 9.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
In terms of pure album sales, "Unden!able" opened with 20,000 copies.
"Unden!able" was released on June 3 via Eleven Seven Music. The effort marks the first time HELLYEAH's current lineup — vocalist Chad Gray, guitarists Tom Maxwell and Christian Brady, drummer Vinnie Paul and bassist Kyle Sanders — has recorded together as a unit, promising a very special return to their true metal roots.
HELLYEAH's previous album, 2014's "Blood for Blood", was the album metal fans and critics were waiting for HELLYEAH to make, based on the revered metal pedigree of the individual members. Such an artistic achievement — the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock album chart — meant the band set the bar incredibly high. HELLYEAH does not disappoint with "Unden!able". "We turned a corner with 'Blood For Blood' and we wanted to continue that path," Paul states. "It's much heavier and darker, and we take it to another extreme."
"Unden!able" is a complete work, including the cover artwork inspired by Chad Gray and designed by William "Wombat" Felch, whom the band discovered by his artistic interpretations of HELLYEAH songs on YouTube, and whom Paul labeled "like a new member of the band," is a definitive visual matching the album's sonic wrath. It's also emblematic of the metal community and the kids who find their kindred spirits in HELLYEAH. The eyes are the portal to the soul," Gray says. "There is more extremity, so I wanted it to represent looking into the eye of someone who is a member of the metal community being cast out. You always feel like a fighter. So we created this eye and the exclamation point [in the title] as the stamp on this madness. You are looking into the soul of a metalhead." "Unden!able" track listing:
01. X02. Scratch A Lie03. Be Unden!able04. Human05. Leap of Faith06. Blood Plague07. I Don't Care Anymore08. Live Or Die09. Love Falls10. STARTARIOT11. Grave

VOLBEAT's 'Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie' Cracks U.S. Top 5"Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie", the sixth full-length album from Danish/American rock 'n' rollers VOLBEAT, debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, having shifted 51,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 9.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
In terms of pure album sales, "Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie" opened with 48,000 copies.
VOLBEAT's previous high on the chart (and best sales week) was logged when its last album, 2013's "Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies", debuted and peaked at No. 9 with 39,000 sold in its first week.
"Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie" was released on June 3 via Republic Records.
Produced by longtime collaborator Jacob Hansen and co-produced by frontman Michael Poulsen and lead guitarist Rob Caggiano, "Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie" includes a total of 13 new tracks, reflecting their signature hybrid of rock prowess, metal power, blues soul, and rockabilly swing.
On the new album, Poulsen told Finland's Kaaos TV: "I'm not taking anything away from the past records, because I'm so proud of every record we've done so far, and they're all a huge inspiration for the new stuff that we are doing. But if you go back and listen to the older VOLBEAT records, there's a lot of mixture of different styles, like rockabilly and country and punk rock and pop rock and metal. And on this record, it's more like an album; it's a solid rock album. There's not so many different mixture of styles. And this time it's pretty much underneath, so some of the songs, instead of being right in your face, this is more of a rock album with huge melodies, huge hook lines."
Like the band's last effort, 2013's "Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies", there's a loose concept to the new disc, as Caggiano explained. "There's definitely some stuff that kind of weaves in and out of the record," he told The Pulse Of Radio. "You know, the last album was leaning heavily towards like the Western stuff and, you know, outlaws and cowboys and that kind of thing, and this is a whole different thing. There's definitely some cool characters and some voodoo stuff on this record, which I always found fascinating."
"Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie" track listing:
01. The Devil's Bleeding Crown02. Marie Laveau03. The Bliss04. The Gates of Babylon05. Let It Burn06. Black Rose07. Rebound08. Mary Jane Kelly09. Goodbye Forever10. Seal The Deal11. Battleship Chains12. You Will Know13. The Loa's Crossroad
VOLBEAT will spend most of the summer in Europe, returning in August for SEETHER's Rise Above festival in Maine on August 6, the Heavy Montreal event on August 7, and an opening slot for METALLICA at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on August 8.
VOLBEAT recently announced the addition of bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen to the group's ranks.
Kaspar was previously a member of the punk rock outfit THE HITCHCOCKS and alternative metal group THE KANDIDATE, and even went on tour with VOLBEAT as a support act in 2010. 1

Italy's DGM Premier “Animal” Music VideoItalian prog metal masters DGM will release their new album, entitled The Passage, on August 26th. The group have released a music video for the track “Animal”. Watch below:
The Passage is DGM’s eighth studio album and is the culmination of almost 20 years of hard work that started back in 1997 with the release of their self-produced mini-album, Random Access Zone. The band went through several incarnations and lineup changes during the years, but since singer Mark Basile joined the group in 2007, DGM evolved and developed their sound into what they have now become.
It was probably the release of Frame (2007) that pushed the band into the top of the league of international prog metal. It was also on the strength of this material that DGM managed to tour for almost four years around the world, taking part in some of the biggest metal festivals, supporting Symphony X on their European tour, and sharing the stage with Pagan's Mind too. In 2013, DGM came back with Momentum, an album which showed the full stylistic maturity of a band which felt fully confident with their abilities, both on the songwriting and the musicianship side. The last album was promoted with more shows and after several gigs in Europe, they performed for the second time at ProgPower USA and started their first Asian tour in November 2014 playing Beijing, Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka as headliners.
The new album, The Passage is another substantial step forward for DGM. Sounding like a hungry, urbanized version of Symphony X, with substantial hard rock influences, the new record is remarkable in several aspects. The compositions are phenomenal, with sweeping choruses, technical passages, lightning fast fretwork, big vocals and bombastic transitions. The playing is simply faultless and the melodies are perfectly woven into the killer guitars, epic keyboards, and pounding drums!
“This album can easily be seen as our most ambitious work to date,” says guitarist and producer Simone Mularoni.
“This time we tried to evolve to an even more personal sound. We took all the elements we developed through all these years and we tried to take them to the limit. Throughout the whole record you will hear a recurrent musical theme. Instead of doing a usual concept album with the lyrics, we decided to do a sort of musical concept with this melody that repeats in every song but every time with different time signatures and keys,” tells drummer Fabio Costantino.
“This album will offer to the listener a key for a positive dimension. A path made of sound vibrations: The Passage to our dreams and hopes,” concludes bassist Andrea Arcangeli.
Evergrey singer Tom Englund and Symphony X guitarist Michael Romeo also appear as special guests tributing the value of this outstanding album. And let's not forget the great job that producer Simone Mularoni did in the studio. The future looks bright for these guys. Check them out live when they come to a town near you.

TRICK OR TREAT Premier “The Great Escape” Music VideoTrick Or Treat will release their new album, Rabbits’ Hill Pt. 2, on July 8th. A new music video for “The Great Escape” can be seen below:
Originally formed in 2002 as a Helloween tribute band, Trick Or Treat soon became a popular live attraction in their home country of Italy. After recording their first demo of original material, they were signed by an independent Italian label, Valery Records. In 2006 they released their first full-length album, entitled Evil Needs Candy Too, to critical acclaim. The band then spent the following two years on the road playing over 100 gigs in Europe and the USA. The band released their second album, Tin Soldiers in 2009.
Three years later, 2012 proved to be an important year for Trick Or Treat, firstly because singer Alessandro Conti was chosen by Luca Turilli's Rhapsody to be the lead singer on the album Ascending To Infinity and secondly, the band released their concept album Rabbits' Hill Pt.1, based on Richard Adams' novel Watership Down.
Four years on, the second chapter, Rabbit's Hill Pt. 2 is now finally finished and comes with the news of the band signing a worldwide, multi-album deal with Frontiers Music Srl. The recording sessions for the new album have been the longest the band has ever taken part in and the work with producer Simone Mularoni (DGM) captured all the intricate details of their take on power metal. For this album, the band added huge orchestrations and epic choirs mixed to their usual signature power metal sound, in order to sonically reflect all the epic adventures told through the lyrics. The musical vibes range from acoustic and melodic parts to darker, heavy metal anthems.
Once again on this new album, Trick Or Treat had the honour to work with great international guest musicians and friends like Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica, Sara Squadrani from Ancient Bards and, in the role of the evil general Woundwort, Tim "Ripper" Owen (ex-Judas Priest ex-Yngwie Malmsteen).
Frontman Alessandro Conti on the new album: "After a long time spent on the production of the new album, we can finally confirm the official release date and the last guest singer. In addition to our friends Sara Squadrani and Tim “Ripper” Owens, we're so happy and proud to have our friend Tony Kakko on Rabbit's Hill Pt. 2 is an incredible honor for us! These guests did an amazing job, helping us to capture the perfect atmosphere of the concept taken from Richard Adam's novel Watership Down.
“We are so happy about the final result of our new album and we are excited about the new partnership with Frontiers, one of the most important rock labels in the world! This is really a great moment for Trick Or Treat! So don't miss the new album!!"

URN Premier “Epiphany” Music Video; Permanent Lineup Change AnnouncedDark symphonic, gothic-folk metal band Urn has released the official video for the title track off of their 2015 LP, Epiphany, which can be seen below.
The band comments: “Urn has always been a catharsis for a lot of the negative emotions that most of us in the band were dealing with, it sums up a great deal of what we learned on an individual level about ourselves, the people in our lives, and the world around us.”
Along with the video premiere, Urn has officially announced today a change to their lineup for 2016.
After filling in for the band for several months now, Urn announced that David Alusik has been promoted to a permanent full-time guitarist with the band. David has a long history with the band, having filled in for a couple of tours as far back as 2003 and 2004, when the band was supporting their Desecrated Ashes release. Alusik recently filled in again on guitar for the 2016 Winter Epiphany tour this past January, and also appeared with Urn at Winter NAMM 2016 in the Los Angeles area.
“We’re honoured to have David join our ranks”, stated Urn front man Dominic St. Charles. “He brings a great positive energy to our music and it certainly translates on the stage as well. What’s so nice is that he still brings a fresh perspective even being an established, seasoned-veteran who has a lot of wisdom, so it creates a strong balanced dynamic to the band. We’re very excited about the future.”
Urn also announced that they have been endorsed by WB Gear who is the parent company of several musical manufacturers such as SIT strings and InTune Picks.

MOTOROWL Sign Worldwide Deal With Century Media Records; Om Generator Due In AugustTrue talent can be found anywhere: black metal in China, NWOBHM worship in Peru, crushing death in Indonesia, yet brilliant psychedelic doom rock which easily can compete with today's high international standards from Thuringia, a state in the eastern part of Germany, is still quite a surprising discovery though the region is renowned for its diverse music scene. Now, Century Media Records, proudly present you the young quintet, Motorowl, formed in 2014 when most of its band members were not even twenty years old. Motorowl quickly developed a heavy sound blessed with fabulous riffs, great vocal melodies, and a grinding Hammond organ on top. Think Spiritual Beggars or Uriah Heep on a bad acid trip. Think 70's inspired, damn heavy hard rock with a contemporary, gloomy twist.
Created with pure passion and incredible, mature song-writing skills, the band's debut, Om Generator, was co-produced by Fabian Hildebrandt (of label mates Deserted Fear) and the mighty Dan Swanö took over mix and mastering duties.
Dan Swanö: "Amazing mixture of stoner and 70's hard rock executed with finesse. I had an amazing time mixing their songs, that always seemed to take a turn towards the unexpected."
Fabian Hildebrandt: “Congratulations to my buddies from Motorowl! It does say something, when a band goes from a rancid rehearsal room in Gera straight away to touring with Bombus, and even manages to convince a label as renowned as Century Media. I still remember vividly, how they asked me to record their album. Initially, I was rather critical, but after I saw them live I immediately knew that I HAD TO. Stunning… extremely young, no idea about nothing, yet insanely talented! Motorowl are a true rock band and I am curious to see, where the future journey of Daniel, Martin, Max, Tim and Vinz will take them.”
After having played a good share of gigs with Jex Thoth, Path Of Samsara, and a tour with Sweden's Bombus, Motorowl offer live experience as well and even Germany's Visions Mag highly recommended these newcomers promising it would not take long until they got signed.
Om Generator will be released worldwide through Century Media Records on August 26th.
Motorowl is:
Max Hemmann - Guitar/Vocals
Vinzenz Steiniger - Guitar
Martin Scheibe - Drums
Tim Camin - Bass
Daniel Dettlev - Keys

WHORES. Enter Studio, Begin Work On All New Album For Fall Release; Aftershock Festival Appearance AnnouncedAtlanta power trio Whores. have entered Parhelion Studios with producer Ryan Boesch (Helmet, Fu Manchu, Melvins) this week to begin work on an all new full length, due out later this year.
"We've been working on writing an oppressively heavy record for the last few months here in ATL," says frontman Christian Lembach. "I think I've chained together like a thousand fuzz pedals at this point. Our homie who recorded Clean, Ryan Boesch, will be manning the helm for us again for the new one, and we're SO ready to blast super hard. Tons of crummy Instagram videos to follow!"
The band has also announced its plans to participate in the 2016 Aftershock Festival this October, playing alongside the likes of Tool, Primus, Deafheaven and Baroness. "Beyond flattered to be a part of Aftershock Festival this year. Our life partners in Red Fang played last year, and we're super humbled to be a part of this awesome lineup. Surrounding tour dates will be announced soon."
The yet-to be titled new effort, their first for eOne Music, will be the follow up to the highly buzzed about LP Clean (2013), which was widely cheered by critics. Also recorded by Boesch, the record sold out within a month, prompting the band to quickly release a second pressing. Clean is now on its fourth pressing. The band made headlines while supporting Red Fang last year in support of that release.
Formed in 2010, Atlanta, Ga. noise merchants Whores. have quickly become infamous, thanks to their crushing live shows and no-holds-barred punk rock attitude. The band signed to Brutal Panda Records in 2011 to unleash their ferocious debut, Ruiner. Recorded at The Factory in Atlanta, Ruiner. features five crushingly heavy tracks of pissed-off noise rock for fans of Helmet, Pissed Jeans, Harvey Milk and The Jesus Lizard.
Since their inception, the band has toured throughout the US, playing shows with Torche, Iron Reagan, Deafheaven, Floor, Retox, Kylesa, The Atlas Moth, Zozobra, Royal Thunder, Fight Amp, Lo Pan, Red Fang, Coliseum, Obliterations, Black Tusk, The Sword, Melvins and Creepoid. 3

METALLICA Begins Mixing New AlbumMETALLICA appears to have finally begun the mixing process for its long-awaited follow-up to 2008's "Death Magnetic" album, tentatively due before the end of the year.
The band's studio progress was revealed last week by Dan Nykolayko, a member of the METALLICA staff who interviewed frontman James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich for a Metallica.com article on the 20th anniversary of the group's "Load" LP.
In the article, which was posted on June 9, Nykolayko wrote: "I managed to corner Lars and James at HQ before they locked themselves in the control room with Greg Fidelman to start mixing the new album."
It is not clear when the interview with James and Lars actually took place.
Ulrich said in a recent interview with Metal Forces that June will be a decisive month for the band's long-awaited tenth studio album. He revealed: "We're now coming towards the end of the musical creative process and we're starting to look ahead and the process of how we're gonna share this record with the universe. The month of June is basically when we're gonna sit down and figure what we're gonna do with it all; what we're gonna call it and what's gonna be on it."
Ulrich cautioned fans, however, that he is not sure if it will actually be released this year. He explained: "If the record doesn't come out this year, then it won't be because it's not done. It will be because there's some sort of cosmic reason that it would be smarter to hold onto it until next year. But the record will be done this summer."
The group has been recording at METALLICA headquarters in San Rafael, California with Greg Fidelman, who was the engineeer on "Death Magnetic".
The band has one live date on its schedule at the moment, at the new U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on August 20. That concert, at which METALLICA will be joined by AVENGED SEVENFOLD and VOLBEAT, sold out all 66,000 tickets in less than ten minutes back in March. 45

COREY TAYLOR, SLASH, PAUL STANLEY, NIKKI SIXX React To Worst Mass Shooting In U.S. HistoryCorey Taylor (pictured; SLIPKNOT, STONE SOUR), Slash (GUNS N' ROSES), Paul Stanley (KISS) and Nikki Sixx (MÖTLEY CRÜE) are among the rockers who have reacted to the mass shooting at a popular gay club in Orlando, Florida, which left 50 people dead early Sunday morning, including the gunman.
The deadliest mass shooting in the United States and the nation's worst terror attack since 9/11 was carried out by Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old American-born man who'd pledged allegiance to the Islamic State terrorist group ISIS.
Armed with an assault rifle and a pistol, Mateen reportedly entered the packed Pulse club about 2 a.m. Sunday and started shooting, killing 49 people and wounding at least 53.
Mateen lived in Fort Pierce, Florida, about 120 miles south of Orlando, and worked as a private security officer.
He had been interviewed by the FBI twice and had once been on a terrorist watch list. 2

Video: NIKKI SIXX Joins MEGADETH On Stage At U.K.'s DOWNLOAD FestivalMÖTLEY CRÜE and SIXX:A.M. bassist Nikki Sixx joined MEGADETH on stage this past Saturday, June 11 at the U.K.'s Download festival to perform a cover version of the SEX PISTOLS classic "Anarchy In The U.K."
According to EonMusic, MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine introduced Sixx to the stage by recalling the rivalry between the thrash and glam metal scenes of the early 1980s. Dave said: "Back when MEGADETH were starting out, we lived in L.A., and there was a lot of rivalry between the big bands." However, he added, "With this guest, it's a coming in together of both sides."
The performance prompted Mustaine to quip about the unlikely collaboration: "Well, hell has frozen over, hasn't it?!"
"Anarchy In The U.K." was originally covered by MEGADETH on their 1988 release "So Far, So Good... So What!", while MÖTLEY CRÜE released its version in1991, as part of their "Decade Of Decadence" collection.
Mustaine told Goldmine in a 2011 interview that he didn't like playing "Anarchy In The U.K." "because it starts off and says, 'I am an Antichrist.' Well, I'm not an antichrist. Not only am I not it, I don't want to be it. I won't even be one of them."
MEGADETH is continuing to tour in support of its fifteenth studio album, "Dystopia", which was released on January 22.
The first volume of "Prayers For The Damned", the new double album from SIXX:A.M., was released on April 29 via Eleven Seven Music. 2
