Video Premiere: HATESPHERE's 'Lines Crossed Lives Lost'"Lines Crossed Lives Lost", the new video from Danish metallers HATESPHERE, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's forthcoming album, "New Hell", which will be released on November 20 via Massacre Records. The CD was recorded in August at producer Tue Madsen's Antfarm Studios in Aarhus, Denmark.
Says HATESPHERE: "The man behind the masterpiece, Christoffer Tönnäng, contacted us during our crowd funding campaign and made us an offer we couldn't refuse. Luckily, he is as big a fan of gore as we are, so along with his hard working cast and crew, he made this beautiful bloody mess for 'Lines Crossed Lives Lost'. Please enjoy and have your kids cover their eyes."
Prior to entering the studio to begin the new album recordings, HATESPHERE vocalist Esben "Esse" Hansen stated about the band's new CD: "You can look forward to 40 minutes of HATESPHERE as you know it, however, seasoned with a few surprising delights! Who, for example, would expect to hear blast beats on a HATESPHERE record?"
Produced, mixed and mastered by Madsen, "New Hell" will also be made available as a limited-edition digipak with two exclusive bonus tracks. The CD's stunning artwork was created by Niclas Mortensen (AMON AMARTH, AS I LAY DYING, PROTEST THE HERO, BRING ME THE HORIZON, WHITECHAPEL). 3

Former JOURNEY Drummer DEEN CASTRONOVO Says He Would 'Probably Be Dead' If He Hadn't Been ArrestedFormer JOURNEY drummer Deen Castronovo has released a statement apologizing to everyone he "let down," explaining that he "hit [his] bottom" after being arrested on charges of domestic abuse. The 51-year-old musician, who replaced Steve Smith as JOURNEY's drummer in 1998, was arrested last June after an altercation at his Salem, Oregon, home.
Castronovo's statement reads as follows:
"Two weeks ago, I, Deen Catronovo, made a plea deal with Salem, Oregon prosecutors. I plead guilty to one count of coercion, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of assault 4, and 2 counts of menacing.
"Anyone who witnessed the events remains adamant that my abrasive behavior stemmed from the fact that I was at a drug-induced psychosis level of intoxication at the time of the occurrences. Otherwise, I am an easy-going guy who loves being a father and a musician.
"After my indictment in June, I completed a 75-day inpatient treatment program at the Hazelden Betty Ford Springbrook Center, the most comprehensive drug abuse treatment center in the State of Oregon. It was at Hazelden that I quickly realized how dire the situation had become. I made a vow to myself and my family to not only stay sober but to dedicate time telling my story, speaking to promote sobriety, being a good example to my sons and advocating for the rights and assistance of domestic-violence victims. I hope by telling my story I can help prevent someone else from making the same mistakes I did.
"Taking into consideration that I have been able to stay completely sober since my indictment in June as well as the fact that I have continued domestic-violence and drug counseling without any difficulties, Judge Jamese Rhodes sentenced me to four years of probation. The probation requires me to continue the domestic violence and drug abuse counseling.
"At the sentencing, I apologized to my ex-fiancée, Deidra, and her family for the hurt I have put them through. I continue to wish Deidra the best. I know Deidra is not at fault for my behavior nor the consequences I have suffered because of it. Again, I want to apologize to Deidra, her family, my family, my bandmates in JOURNEY and the fans of JOURNEY. I'm sorry I let you all down. I have hit my bottom and I'm taking the necessary steps to ensuring that this never happens again.
"As devastating as this was for me, it was far more devastating to Deidra and our children. Had it not been for her calling the police and the intervention of the prosecutors, I'd probably be dead.
"I'm going to focus on my family, finding happiness in sobriety and helping others who might be going down the wrong path to avoid destruction. For now I'm taking it one day at a time and looking to discover what new path God has planned for me."
Castronovo pleaded guilty to two counts of assault in the fourth degree constituting domestic violence, two counts of menacing constituting domestic violence, unlawful use of a weapon and coercion. He has been ordered by a Salem judge to undergo domestic violence and drug counseling and risks five years in prison is he violates any of the terms of his sentence.
Castronovo was initially arrested on June 14 and charged with fourth-degree assault, coercion and menacing.
After being released on $20,000 bail on June 15, Castronovo called the victim 35 times and sent her 122 text messages, despite being under a court order to have no contact with her. He was arrested again on June 29 on a grand jury indictment which charged him with five counts of fourth-degree assault, one count of first-degree rape, two counts of menacing, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, one count of second-degree assault, one count of second-degree sex abuse, one count of coercion, one count of second-degree criminal mischief, and three counts of contempt of court.
At a July 1 bail hearing, Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Gardiner said that Castronovo threw the woman into a wall 14 times, pulled her hair and forced her to have sex with him.
It was also revealed that, upon Castronovo's arrest on June 14, he was first taken to Salem Hospital because he had overdosed on methamphetamine.
JOURNEY hired drummer Omar Hakim to sit behind the kit for the band's summer tour of North America. He made his live debut with the group at their June 20 concert at the Hollywood Bowl. 3

DEF LEPPARD's JOE ELLIOTT, PHIL COLLEN Answer Fans' Questions In Periscope Video ChatDEF LEPPARD released its new, self-titled studio album on October 30. The effort was made available through earMUSIC worldwide (excluding North America, Japan) in the following formats: CD, 2LP gatefold, digital download and on all streaming services.
On the day of the new album's release, DEF LEPPARD members Joe Elliott (vocals) and Phil Collen (guitar) took part in a question-and-answer session with fans on the mobile app Periscope. You can now see the results of the session below.
"Def Leppard" track listing:
01. Let's Go (5:01)02. Dangerous (3:26)03. Man Enough (3:54)04. We Belong (5:06)05. Invincible (3:46)06. Sea Of Love (4:04)07. Energized (3:23)08. All Time High (4:19)09. Battle Of My Own (2:42)10. Broke 'N' Brokenhearted (3:17)11. Forever Young (2:21)12. Last Dance (3:09)13. Wings Of An Angel (4:23)14. Blind Faith (5:33)
Total running time: 54:24
The "Let's Go" video can be seen below. Elliott told RollingStone.com about the track: "It's a call to arms, you know? Rick Savage [bass] wrote 80 percent of the song. I wrote the verses, he wrote all the music and the choruses. He came in with it, and we knew it was a classic DEF LEPPARD song. It's that three-minute pop-rock stuff with big chunky guitars and a big chorus. And it has that swaggering, mid-tempo rhythm, like 'Sugar', and 'Rock Of Ages'. The idea was, we wanted something familiar. I mean, when AC/DC comes back after years away, you're not going to get 'Bohemian Rhapsody' from 'em, you know? And you don't want it, either — you want 'Back In Black', or something like it. For us, this is what we do. And it's something we enjoy doing."
Elliott told North Dakota's Grand Forks Herald that the band's new album is a self-titled affair "because that's what it sounds like. It doesn't sound like any one specific era of DEF LEPPARD. It's got everything. You'll listen and you go, 'Oh, that sounds like DEF LEPPARD,' or you'll go, 'That is LEPPARD, but it sounds a bit like LED ZEPPELIN or QUEEN but you can hear the AC/DC or the CROSBY, STILLS & NASH coming through.' We have not shied away from anything that's influenced us in our growing up periods of our life. Just because we've made the kind of music we've made doesn't mean to say we don't like all of this other stuff."
The album is the band's first studio effort since "Songs From the Sparkle Lounge" in 2008.

ANTHRAX To Release 'For All Kings' Album In FebruaryANTHRAX will release its long-awaited new album, "For All Kings", on February 26, 2016 via Megaforce in North America and Nuclear Blast in Europe.
Beginning in the fall of 2014, ANTHRAX — Charlie Benante (drums), Scott Ian (rhythm guitar), Frank Bello (bass), Joey Belladonna (vocals), and lead guitarist Jon Donais — took their time in the studio recording the follow up to their Grammy-nominated, critically acclaimed 2011 album, "Worship Music". The band recorded some 20 original songs, almost twice as many as they had ever brought into the studio in the past. In terms of how the new music sounds, Bello said, "The thing about ANTHRAX...we have this heavy, thrashy music and Joey's powerful and melodic vocals. I love heavy music, but I also love melody, so the challenge is to blend them together so they sound like ANTHRAX. I think we've done a really good job of that on the new album."
The official lyric video for the song "Evil Twin", taken from ANTHRAX's new CD, can be seen below. The clip is a compelling barrage of places, victims, actions, and some of the infamous zealots and others who have perpetrated violent extremism on innocents around the world, aptly exemplifying the song's powerful message.
"Evil Twin" is now available digitally, and can be purchased via Apple Music, iTunes and Amazon.
Musically, "Evil Twin" is a full-on thrash-metal tune that blasts off with a raging guitar riff, accelerates expeditiously and is completely uncontrollable.
"Yeah, that opening riff is really evil," laughed Benante. "We had done a lot of touring with DEATH ANGEL and EXODUS, so I was in a really thrashy state of mind when I starting writing the riffs for that song. I think along with Scott's lyrics and Frank's melodies, we came up with a really great, old-school thrash metal feel."
As Bello put it, "it's a song that begs to be played live."
Lyrically, the track unapologetically denounces the self-righteous religious extremists who spread their bloody terror under the guise of a Holy War.
You represent your discontentSlaughtering the innocentInsolenceYou're no martyrs
"I was very affected by the Charlie Hebdo massacre as I have been with all of the shootings that have taken place at schools and movie theatres," said ANTHRAX's lyricist Scott Ian. "I can't figure out what would cause someone to think that was the right thing to do. 'I'll show the world, I'll make my God happy.' It's just such bullshit. I'm not bagging on religion, that's not my intent, but people who go to that extreme, who feel they have become judge, jury and executioner over their fellow man because you or I don't believe the same thing they do, I think that's the 'Evil Twin' of humanity. Writing words about that is my only catharsis."
ANTHRAX has just joined "Big Four" comrades SLAYER on a seven-week European tour that kicked off on October 25. 3

SURVIVOR Classic 'Eye Of The Tiger' Gets Metallic Makeover By DEVIL YOU KNOW (Audio)DEVIL YOU KNOW — the creative union of Howard Jones (ex-KILLSWITCH ENGAGE), Francesco Artusato (ALL SHALL PERISH) and John Sankey (DEVOLVED) — has released its cover version of the classic "Rocky" movie series anthem track "Eye Of The Tiger". This is a rousing, hard rock rendition to the SURVIVOR hit song, which is available as a bonus track on DEVIL YOU KNOW's second studio album, "They Bleed Red", due out November 6 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
Comments DEVIL YOU KNOW drummer John Sankey: "One day when we were in the studio working on our new album, 'They Bleed Red', Howard Jones turned up in a shower robe and started shadow boxing in the vocal booth while doing his best Rocky Balboa impersonation. It was so impressive that we immediately knew we had to do a cover of the infamous 'Rocky' soundtrack theme. 'Eye Of The Tiger'. We had already been discussing the possibility of recording a cover, but had no idea what song we would do. In that moment when Hojo literally transformed himself into the Italian Stallion right in front of our very eyes, we knew it was the perfect choice!"
He continues: "Our biggest challenge would be adapting the original song into our own style, so we decided each of us must take on the persona of a different cast member to best capture the performance necessary to do such an iconic song justice. Howard lived and breathed the role of Rocky for a full week, Francesco Artusato (guitars) became as a slightly shorter Ivan Drago, Ryan Wombacher (bass) was the perfect fit for a modern-day Mickey and I of course was a 'way too Australian' not quite as ripped version of Apollo Creed. We entered the studio swinging wildly in all directions with our respective instruments and there was blood, sweat and many many tears, mainly of uncontrollable laughter. Hours later we emerged victorious and super slow motion high-fived each other in classic 'Rocky' fashion as we listened back to the sweet metal sounds of a reformed SURVIVOR classic. We hope you all enjoy it as much as we do."
Produced by Josh Wilbur (AVENGED SEVENFOLD, LAMB OF GOD, KILLER BE KILLED), "They Bleed Red" is a breakneck paced trip through DEVIL YOU KNOW's broken psyche, struggles with anxiety, and ultimate triumph against adversity, all laid upon a foundation of high-level artistic achievement and vitriolic full throttle heavy metal fury.
"They Bleed Red" track listing:
01. Consume The Damned02. The Way We Die03. Your Last Breath04. Stay of Execution05. Break The Ties06. Shattered Silence07. Let The Pain Take Hold08. Master of None09. Searching For The Sun10. How The End Shall Be11. Broken By The Cold
Bonus tracks
12. Eye of The Tiger (cover)13. I Am Alive14. We Live
DEVIL YOU KNOW's debut album, "The Beauty Of Destruction", sold around 6,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 45 on The Billboard 200 chart.
DEVIL YOU KNOW's lineup is completed by BLEEDING THROUGH bassist Ryan Wombacher. 1

PRIMAL FEAR: 'Rulebreaker' Album Details RevealedFrontiers Music Srl will release the new PRIMAL FEAR studio album, "Rulebreaker", on January 29, 2016. The effort will be made available in CD, deluxe CD/DVD and — in collaboration with Soulfood Music in Germany — on vinyl and a special super-limited vinyl edition featuring an eagle head on the vinyl.
"Rulebreaker" combines the strongest PRIMAL FEAR moments ever, with a well-balanced typical PRIMAL FEAR trademark riff vibe, crushing songs and some very ambitious musical journeys.
PRIMAL FEAR recently parted ways with Brazilian drummer Aquiles Priester (HANGAR, ANGRA) and replaced him with Francesco Jovino (U.D.O.). In addition, founding PRIMAL FEAR guitarist Tom Naumann — who has been touring with the group for the past couple of years years — has now officially rejoined the band as a full member. Singer Ralf Scheepers says: "We have so much energy, fantastic melodies and a hell of a drum groove on each and every song. There is no doubt that the fans will love it as much as I do! And again we have achieved to combine bombastic and atmospheric orchestral sounds with soaring heavy metal riffs and licks, together with ear-splitting screams and also emotional sequences. We have kept the promise of being a heavy metal band with all the trademarks for which people love PRIMAL FEAR." After the massive "Delivering The Black" world tour, PRIMAL FEAR started the songwriting in spring 2015 and recorded at Hansen Studios in Denmark, with producer Mat Sinner and engineer Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, PRETTY MAIDS, AMARANTHE). Mat Sinner adds: "We learned a lot during the 'Delivering The Black' sessions and the following world tour. We tried to put this know-how and all the positive energy into the songs and production of 'Rulebreaker'. Working the second time with Jacob Hansen and even recording in his studio, gave another dimension to our sound, plus the recording comeback of founding member Tom Naumann was the right move." Classic and ultra-fresh PRIMAL FEAR have created riff-rockers like the album opener "Angels Of Mercy", and groove monsters "The End Is Near" and "Bullets And Tears", which hit the bulls-eye from the beginning. The album features another untamed speed killer "In Metal We Trust" and the metal anthem and title track "Rulebreaker". The melodic and unique ballad "The Sky Is Burning" shows a different side of PRIMAL FEAR with a new vibe and a monster chorus. And of course, PRIMAL FEAR included again an 11-minute plus prog metal tour de force entitled "We Walk Without Fear", spiced with big orchestral arrangements and complex sound designs. "Rulebreaker" track listing:
01. Angels Of Mercy02. The End Is Near03. Bullets & Tears04. Rulebreaker05. In Metal We Trust06. We Walk Without Fear07. At War With The World08. The Devil In Me; Constant Heart09. BURY TOMORROW To Release 'Earthbound' Album In JanuaryAt a time when modern metal is so slavishly led by the following of whatever fashion carousel is popular this week, rare are the bands who find success on their own, gimmick-free terms. A decade into their career, Southampton/Portsmouth quintet BURY TOMORROW are, by whatever yardstick you want to measure it, one such band. With an ethos which has never wavered from a threefold focus on unswerving passion, unrelenting hard work and remorselessly driving, slash 'n' burn riffola, BURY TOMORROW have hauled themselves into a position as one of the U.K.'s premier purveyors of mosh by the sheer force of their own will. 2014's "Runes" saw a veritable dam-break for the band, a U.K. rock chart number one and top 40 success in the mainstream, it was a record that enabled them to take their devastating live show to festival main stages across Europe and the UK, before finally culminating in a headline tour which saw the band playing to 1400 braying fans at a sold-out London Koko.
Now though, with "Earthbound", they have stepped things up yet another gear.
Watch the official music video for album's title track below.
"To me, 'Earthbound' feels like the distillation of everything we've ever wanted this band to be about," says frontman Dani Winter-Bates. "Our first three records are kind of part of their own trilogy but this is BURY TOMORROW's record, we all see this as our chance to show people what we are capable of." Certainly "Earthbound" finds BURY TOMORROW on more concise form that ever before: ten tracks that get in, batter you across the face, and get out again with precious little time for respite or caught breath. Hardcore mentality for a metalcore generation. "A big thing for us this time around was to get down to the real nitty gritty of what our fans wanted from us and how to give them without wasting a single second," continues Dani. "With 'Earthbound', we wanted pace, we wanted heaviness, and for me, personally, I wanted to write a record which was the sonic embodiment of a circle pit. I think we've done that." With notable influences ranging from axe-slinging New Wave Of American Heavy Metallers UNEARTH and DARKEST HOUR to the apoplectic fury of TERROR and MADBALL, this is one that will get the pit spinning with consummate ease. But while fans of the heavy stuff will find plenty to grasp onto here, it's the now trademark interplay between Dani and guitarist and vocalist Jason Cameron which sets "Earthbound" apart. "It's much more mature in the interplay between me and Jason," Dani notes. "We've been playing together for ten years now and it feels like we have an almost telepathic understanding of one another. We've always wanted to be like one vocalist in two parts and I think we've achieved that here."
One listen to the sky-scraping euphoria of "Last Light" or the call-to-arms swagger of the title track will tell you that Dani isn't lying: monstrous anthems from a band who are coming of age as a truly astonishing force of musical nature. Elsewhere, "301"'s chastising punch sees HATEBREED's Jamey Jasta lending his iron lungs to proceedings to devastating effect. "More than anything that song is about how our music belongs to our fans first, those first 301 people who run to YouTube who want to check it out and are excited about it. It's kind of a 'fuck you' to all those people who go 'BURY TOMORROW aren't proper metal' or whatever. It's Jamey fucking Jasta and I know our fans are going to love it." It's that focus on their fan base which has made BURY TOMORROW not only one of the best, but one of the most well-loved bands working in the U.K. today, and, in Dani, one of the most charismatic frontmen imaginable. "Where we are now is where we've always wanted to be," smiles Dani. "And now we're in the position to truly deliver on what we've promised so far. We aren't going to let anyone down."
"Earthbound" will be released on January 29, 2916 via Nuclear Blast.
"Earthbound" track listing:
01. The Eternal02. Last Light03. Earthbound04. The Burden05. Cemetery06. Restless & Cold07. 30108. Memories09. For Us10. Bloodline

New Wave Of British Heavy Metal Band VARDIS Signs With SPV/STEAMHAMMERSPV/Steamhammer has announced the signing of one of the real and true veterans of the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal): VARDIS. The band's new album, "Red Eye", will be released in 2016.
VARDIS was forged out of glam, punk, heavy metal, blues and rock 'n' roll in the crucible of 1970s northern England. They are a product of rock music across three generations: inspired by the great rockers and electric bluesmen of the '50s and '60s, learning their trade rubbing shoulders with the young guns of hard rock and punk in the '70s, and achieving prominence in the '80s as part of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. The hard, ferocious attack of their sound directly influenced the development of thrash and speed metal across North America and Europe, cited by metal giants such as METALLICA and MEGADETH. Never losing sight of the melodic, boogie sensibilities of their earliest influences, the VARDIS brand of hard rock retains a unique heavy groove, and has endured as truly original.
Guitarist and singer Steve Zodiac about the signing: "Reuniting after a 30-year hiatus was a leap in the dark, but the response has been tremendous. Terry, Joe and I have hit upon a creative chemistry that makes me as excited to be recording the 5th Vardis album today as I was cutting our first demos in '76.
"SPV/Steamhammer have a deserved reputation for high-quality releases, but it was their passion for the future of rock and metal as well its heritage that meant they were the label we wanted to work with. Together we can push boundaries on the most heartfelt, hard-edged VARDIS record yet, with that same rock and roll spirit at the centre of everything we do.!" Olly Hahn, A&R at Steamhammer, adds: "I am a child of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal and I remember well when I bought the 'Quo Vardis' album back then. The band combined certain styles like boogie, glam and hard rock and created their own musical brand. I'm very proud that Steve and the band decided to sign with SPV/Steamhammer. The band is on fire, and if you saw their gig at last year's Keep It True festival in Germany, you know what I mean!"

NIKKI SIXX Doesn't 'See A Purpose' In Writing New MÖTLEY CRÜE Music After Final ShowMÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx says that he doesn't "see a purpose" to the band going into the studio to write and record new music after the CRÜE has played its final show at the of this year.
Asked by Cindy Scull of the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas radio station 97.1 The Eagle Rocks if the CRÜE was, in fact, "breaking up" after the December 31 concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Sixx said (hear audio below): "In my opinion, yes, we're breaking up. We're done as a touring band. If you don't tour, you're not a band in a sense… Will we re-release our songs? Will they come out in movies?... But I don't believe we're a band anymore after that."
Pressed on whether there is a chance that MÖTLEY CRÜE will make new music even after playing its last show, Sixx said: "I don't personally see a reason why not. I mean, the door's not shut. But my belief is you make music to tour. And, you know, nowadays music is not the sole purpose anymore, even though we all love music [and] we live music. But what I'm doing right now with my other band, SIXX: A.M., I'm making a double album, and I'm gonna go on tour for two years. And music is a way to get people to come see the band to play the music for them, but in the end, the music isn't like what it used to be. Now you put a record out so you can tour."
He continued: "I think [MÖTLEY CRÜE will be] a brotherhood and not a band. We're gonna call each other and say things like, 'Hey, this movie's coming up. What do you think? We can put one of our songs in it. It'll be the tenth anniversary of us breaking up.' But I don't see a purpose to go in the studio and write songs."
MÖTLEY CRÜE's "The Final Tour" kicked off last year and will end New Year's Eve at the Staples Center in Los Angeles after one last round of North American gigs.
While announcing the first details of "The Final Tour" at a Los Angeles press conference in January 2014, the four members of MÖTLEY CRÜE revealed that they took the unusual step of having their lawyer draw up a formal "cessation of touring" agreement that goes into effect at the end of 2015 and prohibits the members of the group from going on the road again under the MÖTLEY CRÜE banner. The 2014 leg of "The Final Tour" was one of last year's top-grossing tours, selling close to a million tickets across 72 cities and grossing more than $45 million. 1

HELLOWEEN: Complete 'Hellbook' Details RevealedAs pioneers of German melodic speed metal, HELLOWEEN are not only one of Germany's most respected metal exports but also one of the globally most influential metal bands today.
Since 1984, HELLOWEEN has performed at all important festivals such as Rock In Rio and Woodstock in Poland, which they headlined in front of over 500,000 fans. The band played countless world tours, delivered spectacular shows with colleagues such as IRON MAIDEN, SLAYER and Ozzy Osbourne, released fifteen studio and three live albums, and sold more than eight million records. With fourteen gold and six platinum awards under their belt, they scored their career-highest German album entry in 2013 and landed in Billboard's Top 100.
Obviously, HELLOWEEN are far from running out of steam: Their 30th anniversary sees the publication of their first book, the "Hellbook". With this, the pumpkinheads from Hamburg present a long-awaited fan item that documents 30 years of metal passion and is the only official reference work of its kind so far. Said HELLOWEEN bassist Markus Grosskopf: "For us, this book is highly emotional and evokes a thousand memories. Good moments as well as not-so-good ones are captured here. 30 years of HELLOWEEN on almost 500 pages — and no end in sight." The "Hellbook" is a singular tribute to the European metal gods. On 498 pages in the format 22x28cm, this tour de force of speed, power and rhythm initially takes us back to the roots. We witness their most important and renowned moments, as well as their darkest and most tragic hours: The true story of Kai Hansen, Michael Kiske, Andi Deris, Michael Weikath, Ingo Schwichtenberg, Markus Grosskopf, Roland Grapow, Uli Kusch, Dani Löble, Sascha Gerstner and other masters is told for the first time officially, and accompanied by high-quality and partially unreleased live and backstage images. Said Hansen: "We had great years and a fantastic time, that, looking back, makes the downsides that come with everything big seem insignificant." With its premium artwork, designed by illustrators and designers like the mysterious Frederick Moulaert and Marcos Moura, a 350gr soft cover, and 150gr paper, the "Hellbook" is a 2-kilogram must-have for hardcore fans and a true treasure for collectors: The comprehensive and complete legacy of a legend, alive and necessary — and a collage of their dreams, dedicated to one of the biggest German heavy and hard rock bands of recent years. The "HELLOWEEN Bible" was initiated by Carlos Vincente Leon and David López Gómez from Spain, who penned this masterpiece with blood, sweat and tears by fans for fans. Said Deris: "A reference book, even for myself. I'll probably flick through the pages in 20 years going: 'Really? That's how it was? Cool!'"
The deluxe edition is strictly limited 3-kilogram heavy weight, manually numbered, and personally signed by the band members, including Kiske and Hansen. The golden hardcover and high-quality protective cover wrapper printed with UV coating contains 556 pages — 58 pages more that the "Hellbook"'s standard edition. These 58 pages are the "Hidden Treasures" with copies of originals from the band's early days: private stories like the first record deal, the development of the logo, pictures from times before HELLOWEEN and much more. The "Hidden Treasures" are printed on 150gr. maxisatin /glossy paper. Said Kiske: "I haven't been dealing with these years for almost two decades now. Looking at all the forgotten pictures now brings back lots of memories; good memories! It's great to have a book like this!" The "Hellbook" will be exclusively available via www.helloween.org from October 31 in the standard and deluxe versions, which is strictly limited to 777 copies. Added Weikath: "I wonder if this story will ever end. Flipping through the pages, there are many details I didn't know, didn't realize, or forgot. Here's hoping it will entice and thrill the interested reader — and do some good in unforeseeable ways." 1

ANTHRAX Drummer CHARLIE BENANTE Explains Absence From European TourDrummer Charlie Benante is sitting out ANTHRAX's current European tour dates with SLAYER. He is once again temporarily being replaced by Jon Dette, who has previously played with SLAYER, TESTAMENT and ICED EARTH.
Benante has released the follow open letter explaining his decision to skip ANTHRAX's current tour dates:
"I want to let all of our fans know what the situation is with my being or not being on the road with the band.
"Most of you know I had to have hand surgery a couple of years ago for the carpal tunnel syndrome that I developed. Since then, I've continued to have regular physical therapy and doctor's office visits, and while my hand has gotten a lot better, it just hasn't fully healed.
"My doctor says it could continue to get better, but that's going to take as much time as it takes.
"When we were recording our new album, I realized that after three or four weeks straight in the studio, playing every day, not only would my hand start hurting like hell, but I would lose all feeling in it for a couple of days. And the same with being on the road — I seem to be OK for a couple of weeks, but after that, the carpal tunnel flares up, the pain sets in, my hand goes numb, and I simply cannot play the drums, especially with the intensity that ANTHRAX's music requires.
"I love being on the road, playing our music live for you guys, and I'm very excited about playing our new songs for you in 2016, but, at least at this point, for those four, five, six or seven week tours, I just won't be able to be on all dates.
"ANTHRAX has just started a European tour with SLAYER, and Jon Dette is sitting in for me for the first three weeks or so; I'm planning to join the band on November 21 in the UK and will be on the remainder of the tour.
"If there is a silver lining to this, it's that the time that I'm not on the road with the band, I am able to stay actively involved in the band's artwork (very excited for you all to see the cover art for our new album!), be available to promote our upcoming album, and help put together special ANTHRAX editions like our upcoming 'Spreading The Disease' reissue.
"So, that's the situation. I wanted to make sure that all of you knew exactly what was going on and that I thank you all for the understanding and support. I sincerely look forward to seeing you on the road!"
ANTHRAX's tour with SLAYER kicked off this past Sunday, October 25 at 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be seen below.
Dette originally filled in for Benante during ANTHRAX's appearance at the Soundwave festival in 2013 and at a number of European shows in 2014. 2

Video Premiere: FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's 'Wash It All Away'FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH caps off one of the biggest years of its career with a live performance music video for the band's new single, "Wash It All Away", shot by acclaimed music video director Wayne Isham (METALLICA, PANTERA, GODSMACK, DEF LEPPARD, BON JOVI, AVENGED SEVENFOLD). The clip was filmed at the band's recent headlining show at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and showcases their highly visual stage show and the contagious energy that fuels the thousands of rabid fans in attendance. Check out the video below.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH guitarist Zoltan Bathory states: "There is a reason why Wayne Isham is a legendary video director. I think he was the perfect choice to capture the band's live show and the energy that connects us to our fans. That energy is the reason why this band is still getting bigger and bigger. Something is simply infectious about what leads up to and what happens at our shows and we wanted to create a time capsule of that for ourselves and for the fans."
Isham adds: "When I was asked to direct the new FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH video, I was into it right away. Being a fan of the band made it easy. Being a veteran myself — seeing what the band has done for veterans over the years made this a no-brainer for me."
During an appearance on a recent installment of HATEBREED frontman Jamey Jasta's official podcast, "The Jasta Show", FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH bassist Chris Kael stated about Isham: "I didn't realize that he had done MÖTLEY CRÜE's 'Home Sweet Home'. I knew about the METALLICA videos, but I wasn't aware of the MÖTLEY CRÜE… What was the other one I saw? BON JOVI… All those big videos back in the day, that was the guy."
According to Kael, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH wanted to take a different approach with the "Wash It All Away" video compared to the clips the band had worked on in the past.
"We've had our fair share of friends of the band that were doing videos and those videos came out great [because of the] different interpersonal connections [we had] with the directors," he explained. "But when you wanna make a statement, Wayne is the dude. He's got the resume. All those great videos… I mean, I remember, whatever it was, junior high or high school, I can't recall at this point, sitting at home, rushing home to see where MÖTLEY CRÜE's 'Home Sweet Home' was on the Top 20 countdown they had every day out there. And fast forward fifteen, twenty years later…. Boom! My video."
"Wash It All Away" is taken from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's new album, "Got Your Six", which entered the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 2, selling 119,000 copies in its first week of release. This was the band's third straight No. 2 debut, following both volumes of "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell" in 2013. "Got Your Six", however, did rack up the band's best single sales week ever, surpassing the 112,000 copies sold of "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell, Volume 1", in its first week.
Each of FIVE FINGER's previous albums has been certified gold in the U.S. for sales of 500,000 copies or more.
"Got Your Six" is the band's sixth studio effort and features the top rock single "Jekyll And Hyde".
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has just completed a U.S. co-headlining tour with PAPA ROACH and will kick off a European run on November 2 in Helsinki, Finland. 1

JOHAN LIIVA Wanted To Perform With ARCH ENEMY Again 'For The Fans'ARCH ENEMY was rejoined by the band's original members Johan Liiva (vocals) and Christopher Amott (guitar) for their appearance at this year's edition of the Loud Park festival on October 10-11 at Saitama Super Arena, Saitama, Japan.
Speaking about his 2000 exit from ARCH ENEMY, Liiva told LoudTV.net in a new interview (hear audio below): "Actually, I wasn't that angry. I was just kind of shocked and kind of disappointed, because I wasn't expecting it. But you just have to deal with it and accept what happened. Then, a few years later, I realized, 'Okay, this is what it's like. It's the music business. [ARCH ENEMY mainman/guitarist Michael Amott] wants to make a living from his music, he wants to make the band like that.' And, honestly, at the end, I wasn't putting too much of my energy into the band; I had so many other things on my agenda, unfortunately. So it was like a mixture of all these things. I was not focused, maybe. So I totally understand it. But then again, many fans were really angry and they all supported me, and I thanked them so much for that. And now they see me doing this show in Loud Park and they wonder what the fuck is going on. You know what I mean? That I don't stand for my values or… But it's not like that. It was a very difficult thing back then."
Asked how his guest appearance with ARCH ENEMY at Loud Park came about, Liiva said: "It was Michael [that asked me to do it]. We're old friends and we speak every now and then on the phone. So he said, soon it's twenty years ago, you know — it's an anniversary for the band. And also it's an anniversary for the Loud Park festival. So he was, like, 'Would you like to do this?' And I was, like, 'Ehhh…. Yeah. Yeah, of course I want. For the fans.'"
Fan-filmed video footage of the Loud Park performance can be seen below.
Liiva was replaced by German singer Angela Gossow as ARCH ENEMY's lead vocalist in 2000. Gossow exited the band in 2013 and was succeeded by former THE AGONIST frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz, while remaining as the group's manager.
Christopher Amott first left ARCH ENEMY in 2005, only to return to the group two years later. His second, and apparently final, departure came in March 2012.
ARCH ENEMY in November 2014 parted ways with guitarist Nick Cordle and replaced him with former NEVERMORE axeman Jeff Loomis. Loomis made his live debut with ARCH ENEMY on the band's fall 2014 European tour.
ARCH ENEMY headlined the 2015 installment of "Summer Slaughter". This tour marked the band's second North American run on this album cycle — but the first stateside trek to feature Loomis.
ARCH ENEMY's latest album, "War Eternal", sold around 8,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to enter The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 44. The CD was released on June 10, 2014 in North America via Century Media Records. The cover artwork was created by Costin Chioreanu. 2

RITCHIE BLACKMORE: U.K. Rock Show Announced For June 2016Legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore will perform RAINBOW and DEEP PURPLE material at what will probably be four shows next year in Europe. The U.K. concert will take place on Saturday, June 25 at the Genting Arena in Birmingham. The performance will be Blackmore's first U.K. rock show in over 20 years.
As previously reported, the two concerts in Germany will take place at the Monsters Of Rock festival on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Freilichtbühne in Loreley and on June 18, 2016 at Festplatz am Viadukt in Bietigheim-Bissingen.
Tickets for the Monsters Of Rock festival go on sale on November 6.
Blackmore recently told Billboard.com about his plans to revisit RAINBOW and DEEP PURPLE classics: "I'm now 70, so I just felt like playing some rock 'n' roll for a few days. We're going to do four or five dates" — most likely in England, Germany and Sweden — "of just playing the old rock stuff, PURPLE stuff and RAINBOW. I'm doing it for the fans, for nostalgia, and the singer I found is very exciting; he's a cross between [Ronnie James] Dio meets Freddie Mercury. So this will mean exposing a new singer to the masses, and I'm sure he'll become pretty famous because of his voice."
Blackmore declined to reveal the other musicians that will participate in the shows because contracts are still being negotiated, but said that none will be known names from his previous groups. He plans to film and record the performances for future release.
Blackmore quit rock and roll in 1997 to form a medieval folk band called BLACKMORE'S NIGHT with then-girlfriend and now-wife Candice Night. Since then, BLACKMORE'S NIGHT has released nine studio albums, with a new CD, "All Our Yesterdays", having arrived on September 18.
Over the past few months, RAINBOW has been the frequent subject of reunion rumors, with singer Joe Lynn Turner — who fronted RAINBOW from 1980 until 1984 and was a member of PURPLE from 1989 until 1992 — repeatedly claiming that Ritchie was "intching" to play rock music and insisting that he was in talks with the guitarist about a renewed collaboration. 1

Ex-QUEENSRŸCHE Singer GEOFF TATE To Launch Insania Wine In EuropeOusted Queensrÿche singer Geoff Tate and the current frontman of the band Operation: Mindcrime, announces the release of his wine, Insania in Europe. He will be working with Friedhelm and Anne Rinklin of the Rinklin Winery to release an amazing white wine.
The Rinklin Winery is in the small village of Eichstetten, Germany in the Kaiserstuhl hills. The farm has existed since 1713 and were pioneers in the organic movement in Germany. Insania is an organic white wine made from the Pinot Gris or Grauer Burgunder grape. Geoff states, “I have always loved German white wines and the Rinklin wines are some of the very best.”
Geoff chose to work with Friedhelm Rinklin and his wife Anne because he felt that they care so deeply about their wines. They intentionally reduce yield which increases the quality. The wine matures with as little intervention or technology as possible. Geoff says, “Rinklin wines are such a product of nature with all the natural variations. They deliberately emphasize these variations which makes the wines more exciting. They run the winery according to old artisanal tradition believing nature provides everything a good wine needs.”
Geoff’s US version of Insania red and white wines were released annually in the US starting with a 2007 vintage. The wines are made by Holly Turner of Three Rivers Winery in Walla Walla, Washington. Geoff’s U.S. Insania is almost completely sold out with a few bottles of red left at the Three Rivers Winery and a few cases scattered across wine shops in California.

JUDAS PRIEST's ROB HALFORD Rocks Halloween Costume In ReginaJUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford wore a special costume for his band's performance of the song "Living After Midnight" Halloween night (Saturday, October 31) in Regina, Saskatchewan Canada. Check out photos above and below (courtesy of Matt Hamann and Halford's official Instagram account).
Halford recently told the Q104 radio station in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada about JUDAS PRIEST's plans to record the follow-up album to 2014's "Redeemer Of Souls": "Well, you know, in rock and roll, you've gotta kind of strike while the iron is hot, and that iron has been burning hot for decades for PRIEST now. It doesn't show any sign of cooling off, I can tell you that. The cool thing about where we're at right now is, of course, having Richie [Faulkner, new PRIEST guitarist] with us and having gone through that first writing experience together [on 'Redeemer Of Souls']. We were so motivated to keep writing as we were going along, but our label had a time schedule for us to keep, so we had to put the brakes on and start recording the songs that we'd written. And with that in mind, we're raring to go again, and I'm sure there'll be another PRIEST record in the not-too-distant metal future."
Asked whether he feels that "the clock is ticking" on JUDAS PRIEST's recording and touring career, Rob said: "Yeah, the clock is ticking, [but] we’re trying to hold it back. [Laughs] But it's great, man. I've gotta tell you, this band is having the time of its life, and we're very excited to be back out on the road after a short break from our last show, in Wacken in Germany at the big heavy metal festival there in front of eighty thousand heavy metal maniacs. So we're still bringing the fire and the metal with us wherever we go."
"Redeemer Of Souls" was released in July 2014. The follow-up to 2008's double-disc concept album "Nostradamus" was billed as a return to JUDAS PRIEST's heavy-metal roots.
"Redeemer Of Souls" sold around 32,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 6 on The Billboard 200 chart. 9

SEVENTRAIN Featuring Former Members of CAGE, 24-7 SPYZ, TOURNIQUET Announce New Lead VocalistHailing from San Diego, California, the hard rock/metal act Seventrain featuring guitarist Eric Horton (Cage), guitarist Jef Poremba (6ONE9, Kofi Baker), bassist Dino Andino (Tourniquet) and drummer Joel Maitoza (24-7 Spyz, Shockhead) have officially announced their new vocalist as Eric Koonze (SICARUS).
Seventrain amicably parted ways with their former singer, Jon Campos in August of 2015 who wanted to focus more on his acoustic solo career as the band wanted to pursue a more heavier direction for the next album, yet still maintain their blusey metal groove from the first album.
Drummer Joel Maitoza states: We would like to take this opportunity to officially announce and welcome Eric Koonze to the band as the new frontman for Seventrain. With Eric’s exceptional vocal abilities and positive attitude, we now feel like the possibilities are endless. The new songs will reflect that and we couldn’t be happier. We would like to thank all of the amazing vocalists that took time out of their busy lives to learn our songs and came down to our studio to audition. Over the past 10 weeks, we have had nearly 50 applicants and narrowed it down to 12 live auditions. Seventrain also wants to apologize to our fans for having to cancel our dates with Lynch Mob and Prong in order to take the time needed for the audition process. We plan to get back into the studio as soon as possible to continue work on the new album and are already scheduling shows for early 2016. Onward and upward…we’ll see you soon!
Seventrain will make their live performance debut with their new vocalist on February 5th, 2016 at Ramona Mainstage in Ramona, California opening for Operation: Mindcrime featuring Geoff Tate.
Interested in hearing what the new singer for Seventrain sounds like? Here is a video of Eric Koonze with his previous band Sicarus:
Seventrain is currently in pre-production for their follow up album to be released in the spring of 2016.

TORNADO Planning To Hit The Studio In December "To Do Something Cool "Tornado frontman Superstar Joey Severance has checked in with the following:
"If the stars align like they should, in December the Tornado gang will hit the studio to do something cool, with someone cool. Stay tuned..."
BraveWords has an inside scoop as to what Tornado has planned; the fans have every reason to be stoked.
Severance recently posted the following message regarding Tornado's new song, "David And Goliath":
"I'm not sure if folks are not making it past the first verse/chorus or what, but I've gotten a few messages asking why I am referring to people as 'faggots' and 'losers' or why am I spreading such 'hate.'
To be very clear, this is a ANTI-BULLYING song and while the words are mine, I am just the messenger, speaking for those who can't/won't speak for up for themselves.
Here are the lyrics if you find that the vocals are not enunciated enough!"
Tornado signed a worldwide deal with Wormholedeath earlier this year for the release of their sophomore album, Black President. To celebrate, the band released their official video for the track "David And Goliath”. The album has had limited release thus far and is due to hit the shelves worldwide on July 28th.
Says Severance: “We are extremely grateful and excited to be a part of the Wormholedeath family and look forward our future cooperation with the label. Lock up your girlfriends, wives and daughters. Sleazy thrash is coming your way!”
Worm stated: "When I got to know Joey I understood that I was in front of someone with a unique attitude and loyalty. Tornado have been pushing so hard during these years ... So hard that they have been able to work with Peter Tagtgren and get a deal with Listenable Records for their debut album Amsterdam. This is just to underline that I was more than honoured when I got their email. Their new album is like a blast and it has this unique sound since they have been able to create a very strong drive with both Scandinavian and bay area thrash elements. By the way, not many words are needed here...This is a real band with a real attitude and everyone should check them out. A fucking Tornado is coming our way, this is what I wanted to say.”

JAG PANZER To Record 'The Deviant Chord' Album In MayVeteran Colorado metallers JAG PANZER will enter the studio in May 2016 to begin recording their new album, titled "The Deviant Chord", to be released via SPV/Steamhammer.
JAG PANZER announced in August 2014 that it was looking for a new vocalist but has since been rejoined by the band's original singer, Harry "The Tyrant" Conklin. Conklin later wrote in an online post: "I never REALLY f-ing left. It's complicated!"
JAG PANZER performed at the 17th edition of the Keep It True festival in April 2014 at Tauberfrankenhalle in Lauda-Koenigshofen, Germany. The show marked the band's first appearance in Europe with guitarist Joey Tafolla.
JAG PANZER called it quits in July 2011, with guitarist Mark Briody explaining that they could not "move forward as a band."
Shortly before JAG PANZER's breakup, guitarist Christian Lasegue left the group to pursue his degree full time.
Issued on February 28, 2011 in Europe and on March 8, 2011 in the U.S. via SPV/Steamhammer Records, JAG PANZER's latest album, "Scourge Of The Light", sold around 500 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 117 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"The Scourge Of The Light" was mixed by Jim Morris at Morrisound Studios in Florida and was mastered at New York's renowned Sterling Sound.

Video: TOOL Members Dress Up As LED ZEPPELIN To Cover 'No Quarter'TOOL members dressed up as LED ZEPPELIN to perform the latter band's classic song "No Quarter" Halloween night (Saturday, October 31) at the Monster Mash Music Fest in Tempe, Arizona.
"Good news, it's fucking Halloween!" TOOL singer Maynard James Keenan said after the performance. "Bad news, we are not LED ZEPPELIN."
TOOL's cover of "No Quarter" was included on the band's "Salival" limited-edition box set, which was released in 2000. The cover was originally recorded for the soundtrack of "Private Parts", but TOOL subsequently decided against allowing it to be used.
According to The Pulse Of Radio, Keenan took to Twitter on Wednesday (October 28) to clarify comments he made during an interview in which he seemed to denounce TOOL's fans as "insufferable" and "way too serious." Keenan wrote, "Our core fan base aren't fanatics. They're music lovers & artists & good people. It's the fanatics that are insufferable." He also said it was untrue that he wants nothing to do with TOOL or its fans, posting the word "context" to imply that his words were misconstrued or misinterpreted.
Also responding to fan speculation that he had no desire to work with TOOL anymore after he said in the interview with the Phoenix New Times that he had to be "conned" into playing the Monster Mash Music Fest show with them this weekend, Keenan posted a photo of him and TOOL drummer Danny Carey in a rehearsal studio with the caption, "[Carey] and I TOTALLY hating on each other. #donttaketheclickbait #context."
Keenan was asked in the interview if fans miss the sense of humor in TOOL's music, to which he replied, "It's there, but people miss it because they're so focused on the other bullshit. It's lost. Insufferable people... It's just ridiculous, retards. I'm sorry. Can't help them. Way too serious."
The writer of the Phoenix New Times article, David Accomazzo, noted in his piece that any time Keenan was asked about TOOL, "his answers quickly become curt" and a "hint of exasperation creeps into his voice." 5

GLENN DANZIG Is '80 Percent Done' With New Album Of All-Original MaterialHorror-punk icon Glenn Danzig has revealed to Bad Feeling Magazine that his new full-length album of all-original DANZIG material is "80 percent done." He stated about the record's musical direction: "I think DANZIG fans will dig it a lot. It's heavy, sometimes it's bluesy and swampy, dark. And then other times I'm doing a couple of different things here and there that they might not have heard me do before, all within the whole DANZIG context. So, I think they'll like it."
Danzig also revealed that his previously announced collection of Elvis Presley covers has "turned into a full album." He explained: "I was also working on the new DANZIG record, so every time I had downtime, I would just go, 'Let's do another Elvis track.' It's done."
Danzig previously told Rolling Stone magazine about his Elvis collection: "I'm making it a little different. Some of the stuff I'm stripping down, bare bones, very old-school fifties echoey slap-back vocals, piano, guitar." Songs that may end up on the effort include "Home Is Where the Heart Is" and the Faron Young–composed tune "Is It So Strange", which Presley recorded in 1957.
Glenn will release his long-awaited covers record, "Skeletons", on November 27 in North America via Nuclear Blast Entertainment/Evilive Music. The record can now be pre-ordered at this location.
A labor of love that dates back to 1979, "Skeletons" sees Danzig pulling back the curtain behind his influences with a collection of ten covers spanning artists as diverse as Elvis Presley, ZZ TOP, and AEROSMITH to BLACK SABBATH, THE TROGGS, THE EVERLY BROTHERS, and more.

Former FLYLEAF Frontwoman LACEY STURM Announces Solo Album Debut, 'Life Screams'Three years after amicably parting ways with FLYLEAF, singer Lacey Sturm is independently releasing her highly anticipated solo debut, "Life Screams", in early 2016 on Followspot Records with The Fuel Music distribution. The first single from this set of urgent, anthemic and lyrically timely rock, "Impossible", debuts exclusively on SiriusXM's Octane (channel 37) Sunday, November 1, at 1:00 p.m. EST, and goes immediately into rotation thereafter. On November 6, the single will be available on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon, and goes to rock radio for adds November 9. "Impossible" screams the return of the voice and songwriter who delivered rock anthems like "Again", "All Around Me", "I'm So Sick" and "Fully Alive" to the top of the retail and radio charts. The debut solo single from Lacey blasts out the optimistic chorus: "Every morning I see another miracle / I can't believe I'm living the impossible / We are the sign and we are the wonder / Another day of living the impossible." "I was listening to the radio one day and I said to myself, 'If I hear one more song telling people to kill themselves and go to hell, I'm going to have to put a record out!'" exclaims Lacey. "I just think it would be a good thing to have a voice in the mix of all the hopelessness that actually gives you a light at the end of the tunnel; a voice that's still honest about the pain and struggle, but can also scream, 'Hey, wake up and be alive because there's hope!'" Approaching her latest creative phase with newfound perspective and appreciation, Lacey adds: "I really started to value my relationships and the people around me. We started as a group of artists in our hometown of Pittsburgh and 'Life Screams' was kind of an accident." Out of this new artist community, Lacey's live band organically formed and features her husband, Josh Sturm (guitars), as well as Tom Gascon (drums) and Ben Hull (bass). Together, they have already performed for crowds in the tens of thousands and are booked for major rock festivals in 2016. While music fans wait for the tour dates to be announced, Lacey engaged her extensive social community on an Instagram scavenger hunt yesterday for a cover art reveal contest. One piece of the puzzle was featured on Lacey's Instagram while eight additional square pieces of the new cover were hidden across Instagram's platform. The first one to find and stitch together the nine images, tagging the cover #LIFESCREAMS, will receive a signed copy of Lacey's audiobook, "The Reason".
Sturm last year opened up about some of the reasons why she quit FLYLEAF in the fall of 2012, shortly before the release of the band's third album, "New Horizons". Speaking in a video to promote her memoir, Sturm said that several events, including getting married, having a baby and enduring the death of the band's sound engineer Rich Caldwell changed her priorities. Sturm explained: "The one that hit the hardest was the death of our sound engineer. We did one last show with FLYLEAF as a benefit for his wife Katy and their son Kirby. And it was really hard to do a show without him, and it was really hard to think it could be our last show. So I remember looking at my son after Rich had passed and just wondering to myself, if this was the last year I had with my son, how would I spend it?"
Sturm added: "It was really amazing to recognize this season changing in my life and the freedom that I was gonna be able to focus on my family. And I'm so thankful for that time. And although it was really hard, I'm thankful. And that's the reason I stepped down from FLYLEAF."
FLYLEAF recruited singer Kristen May as Sturm's replacement and released its fourth album, "Between The Stars", in September 2014. 3

STARBLIND Streaming "Dying Son" VideoSwedish metallers, Starblind, will release their new album, Dying Son, on December 4th via Pure Steel Records. The pre-order phase will start on November 20th. A video for the title track is streaming below.
Following the brand new signing of Starblind with Pure Steel Records in March 2015, the band’s sophomore album Dying Son is soon to be unleashed upon the world, following-up their album debut, Darkest Horrors, from 2014. Starblind are here to deliver traditional heavy metal as if time had stood still since 1984.
Their music can be described as catchy heavy metal with majestic twin guitar leads, pumping bass guitar, dynamic drums and melodic, powerful vocals. No attempts have been made to hide the influences when writing the material for Dying Son. And it stands clear that the metal giants from Great Britain are the main ones.
Dying Son contains everything from fast songs like "The Lighthouse" and "A Dying Son", to mid-tempo "Firestone" and "Sacrifice", to the 11 ½¬minute opus "The Land Of Seven Rivers Beyond The Sea".
Starblind’s sophomore album was recorded live in the studio and is produced by Rocka Rollas/Blazon Stone mastermind Cedrick Forsberg. Because of the philosophy of no guitar dubbing, no triggers and no metronome when recording, the album has a very authentic and organic feel. What you get on the album, is what you get live!
Tracklisting:
“A Dying Son”
“Blood Red Skies”
“Firestone”

BLAZE OF PERDITION Announce Polish Tour Dates; New Live LineupPolish black metal revelation, Blaze Of Perdition, is gearing up for their first tour since the tragic road accident in Austria, back in 2013. Set to start on November 5th in Lublin, the Days Of No Light tour will visit ten cities across Poland and include support from fellow black metallers Mord'A'Stigmata and post-metal act, Moanaa.
In connection with resuming live activities, the band decided to shed some light on the personal situation in the band:
"We've got a new band member Devasto - fresh blood. Originally he was to become our bass player, but sudden complications made him take up guitar duties, while Revenger returned to his bass.
As for the vocals, most gigs will be performed by Rattenkönig - talented and experienced frontman from the southern region of Poland.
The only exception will be a gig in our hometown - Lublin, where we shall perform with our original master of ceremony - Sonneillon. This will arguably be very special performance, so it might be slightly different than the other gigs during this tour as well.
We hope to return to our main live line-up someday. At the moment, Sonneillon is focused on the studio-related work only, while his live duties will be taken up by a worthy replacement mentioned above. Few exceptions might occur, but at the moment we are forced to continue this way. We also hope that this situation will clear up as soon as possible. It is important to notice, that Sonneillon's vocal performance is as good as always, but his health condition demands special logistical requirements we're not able to meet right now. The rest remains unchanged."
Tour dates:
November
5 – Lublin, Poland – Graffiti
6 – Warszawa, Poland – Hydrozagadka
7 – Gdansk, Poland – Prokultura
8 – Lodz, Poland – Doom
10 – Poznan, Poland – U Bazyla
11 – Wroclaw, Poland – Liverpool
12 – Bielsko-Biala, Poland – Rudeboy
13 – Chorzow, Poland – Tiger Riders
14 – Krakow, Poland – Zascianek
Current live line-up includes:
Rattenkönig – vocals
XCIII – guitar
Devasto – guitar
Revenger – bass/backing vocals
Vizun – drums
Blaze In Perdition will tour in support of their new album, "Near Death Revelations", released in June on Agonia Records.

DARKEST ERA – Gods And Origins 7” DetailedCeltic metal band Darkest Era are set to release a new vinyl 7" entitled Gods And Origins November 20 on Cruz Del Sur Music. Recorded between the studio session for Severance and spring 2015, Gods And Origins is an insightful representation of the group's decade-long existence.
Gods And Origins will be released in a Limited Edition (150) Swamp Green and Regular Black vinyl. Preorders will be available October 31 through Cruz Del Sur Music and the band's website.
The EP features new song "Elohim" and a re-recording of an early gem called "An Dagda Awakens" (renamed "An Dagda" for the 7").
Guitarist Ade Mulgrew had this to say about the re-recording of "An Dagda Awakens:"
"Since it's almost 10 years since myself and Sarah started playing guitar together, we decided to revisit one of the first songs we wrote, 'An Dagda Awakens'. Written with the fiery energy (and perhaps naivety) of teenage metalheads making their first steps on their journey, we have breathed smoke and ashes into this old song and brought it screaming into the darkness."

WIZARDS OF WINTER Featuring Original TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA Members Premier “Flight Of The Snow Angels”; AudioIt is never too early for holiday music! Yuletide rock ensemble Wizards Of Winter - which features original members of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra - are streaming a brand new guitar-driven instrumental track entitled "Flight Of The Snow Angels".
Featuring an electrifying and classic progressive rock sound infused with more than enough holiday cheer for the whole family, listeners will enjoy "Flight Of The Snow Angels" and all of the timeless tracks on the band's upcoming album, The Magic Of Winter, produced by Eric Rachel at Traxeast (Symphony X, Skid Row, Styx) and releasing on November 12th. Pre-order here.
The brand new album art, illustrated by renowned artist Ioannis (Styx, Dream Theater, Deep Purple), can be seen below:
When writing “Flight Of The Snow Angels", music director/keyboardist Scott Kelly was looking to create a song that could set the right mood as an opener for both their CD and live show. "It had to be upbeat as well as majestic. Multiple ideas entered my mind. One was of snow as it is blown by the wind. The other was a concept taken from the movie City of Angels where the angels were always positioned somewhere up high and "fell" to the earth. Hopefully the visual of angels soaring through a snowy scene is evoked in the mind of the listener."
Guitarist Fred Gorhau adds, "When Scott and I were working on this track, I wanted the guitars to sound like the title - lots of bounce and a majestic feel, and I think that comes across throughout the song. My favorite part of this track is the dramatic arpeggio climb on guitar and keys - it builds quite a bit into a reprise of the intro. This song sets a great mood for me and is a total blast to play."
