BUCKCHERRY To Release

BUCKCHERRY To Release 'Rock 'N' Roll' Album In August

California rockers BUCKCHERRY will release their seventh studio album, "Rock 'N' Roll", on August 21st via F-Bomb Records/Caroline. In anticipation for the upcoming record, the band has premiered a new track/video for their first single, "Bring It On Back", today. Check it out below. Pre-order "Rock 'N' Roll" now at iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play and Bravado. On "Rock 'N' Roll", the Los Angeles quintet — Josh Todd (vocals), Keith Nelson (guitar), Stevie D. (guitar), Xavier Muriel (drums) and Kelly LeMieux (bass) — staunchly uphold the commandments of rock music with an arsenal of new anthems primed to explode on impact and teeming with riotous energy, sexy swagger, and primal chops intact. It's something that the boys have done since day one, but it's more necessary now than ever. "There's been so much talk about how rock 'n' roll is dead and all of this bullshit," says Todd. "The funny thing is, that's been going on since we put out our first record in 1999. We wanted to call the new album 'Rock 'N' Roll', because this is what we've been doing our whole lives. We focused on making a record that encompasses all of what we are. You get every flavor of BUCKCHERRY." They rev up "Rock 'N' Roll" with the propulsive first single and opener "Bring It On Back". From the jump, a robust guitar groove struts right alongside an unshakable refrain. It's got the band's signature hallmarks, but Todd pulled lyrical inspiration from a new source altogether. "When I'm not on the road, I race Go-Karts for my hobby," he says. "The song is really about racing. I had a driver named Kurt Busch in mind when I wrote the lyrics. They call him 'The Outlaw,' and he's a badass. It captures that intensity of racing and the mentality. I love it." "Bring It On Back" is an immediate reminder that rock 'n' roll is alive and thriving in 2015. BUCKCHERRY have added fuel to the genre's fire for nearly two decades now. The Grammy Award-nominated outfit is responsible for smashes including "Lit Up" off their gold-certified 1999 self-titled debut as well as "Crazy Bitch" and "Sorry" from 2006's platinum "15". Along the way, they've shared stages with everybody from AC/DC and MÖTLEY CRÜE to SLIPKNOT and ROB ZOMBIE, among others. Fans can catch BUCKCHERRY live in concert this summer on their North American tour. Additional tour dates for July - September will be announced soon.

OZZY OSBOURNE Spends $10 Million On New Beverly Hills Home

OZZY OSBOURNE Spends $10 Million On New Beverly Hills Home

According to TMZ.com, Ozzy Osbourne has purchased a home for $10 million in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Beverly Hills, California. The English-style 5,680-square-foot estate has a Playboy-esque grotto that's covered in roses and ivy, five bedrooms, five and a half baths and a two-story guest house with its own garage.

Ozzy and his wife/manager Sharon have reportedly been renting around Los Angeles since selling their previous California residence in 2013 to Jessica Simpson for $11.5 million.

Earlier this year, Osbourne was forced to shell out $27,000 to have a colony of bats removed from his estate in Buckinghamshire, England. The bats were discovered while Ozzy was having the house renovated in May 2014, with work halted until Ozzy could comply with the Wildlife And Countryside Act of 1981 and the Conservation of Habitats Species Regulations of 2010.

Ozzy infamously bit the head off a dead bat 33 years ago at a concert in Des Moines, Iowa.

Ozzy is scheduled to take part in a month-long residency in Las Vegas called Hell Gate this fall.

After SOUNDGARDEN disbanded in 1997 at the height of the group's success, Cornell embarked on a solo career, releasing "Euphoria Morning" in 1999 and debuting a softer sound both live and on the record. But when that album failed to take off, he accepted an offer in 2001 to join with the instrumental members of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE after vocalist Zack de la Rocha exited that group. The new act, called AUDIOSLAVE, released its self-titled debut in 2002. AUDIOSLAVE was a huge success from the start and released two more albums, 2005's "Out Of Exile" and 2006's "Revelations". But by the time "Revelations" came out, Cornell was already looking at other projects and recorded the theme song, "You Know My Name", for the 2006 James Bond comeback film "Casino Royale". In early 2007 he officially left AUDIOSLAVE to revive his solo career, while the rest of the band reactivated RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE.

Cornell issued his second solo album, "Carry On", in 2007 and the controversial "Scream" in 2009. The latter album was produced by Timbaland and found Cornell attempting to pursue an urban/pop direction, making him the focus of ridicule from musicians like Trent Reznor.

Rumors of a SOUNDGARDEN reunion had been percolating for several years and became a reality in 2010, with the band getting back together for a few shows at first, then full-fledged tours and eventually a brand new album in 2012, "King Animal".

Cornell told The Pulse Of Radio that he sees working with SOUNDGARDEN again as having a positive influence on his solo career. "One thing about a solo artist is you can just be in a room way too long with yourself and your own thoughts and your own songs, and it feels really good to be working with Ben [Shepherd, bassist] and Matt [Cameron, drummer] and Kim [Thayil, guitarist] again, and it's actually a really nice reprieve also from just being alone, doing what I do. It's helping with the balance, I think, too."

THE WINERY DOGS Begin Recording Sophomore Album

THE WINERY DOGS Begin Recording Sophomore Album

THE WINERY DOGS, the power trio featuring drummer Mike Portnoy (DREAM THEATER, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, ADRENALINE MOB), legendary bassist Billy Sheehan (MR. BIG, TALAS, DAVID LEE ROTH) and guitarist/vocalist Richie Kotzen (MR. BIG, POISON), has entered a Los Angeles-area studio to begin recording its sophomore album, to be released in North America this fall on Loud & Proud via RED (a division of Sony Music Entertainment) and in the rest of the world via earMUSIC.

"I am thrilled to be back in the studio with Mike and Billy recording the second WINERY DOGS record," proclaims Kotzen. "I mentioned in an interview months ago that I thought, based on how we've grown as a band, that this record could expand creatively beyond what we did on record one. After only two weeks of recording, I am convinced this sentiment is true. I can't wait to see where this all goes and share it with our listeners." "We are excited to unleash THE WINERY DOGS' second album," says Loud & Proud owner and president Tom Lipsky. "The band took the world by storm with their debut album; fans went crazy and musicians and critics voiced their respect. The new album is going to take them to another level, and we are proud to be part of that journey." Kotzen was asked by GetYourRockOut whether he felt any pressure trying to follow up the success of THE WINERY DOGS' self-titled debut album as the group prepared to begin work on its sophomore CD. "Personally, no," Richie said. "With music, I'm one of those people that, like… I don't think about anything other that doing what feels right to me. I mean, I probably could have put myself in situations where a lot more people would know about me, but I don't, because I don't wanna play music that I don't wanna play. I learned that in the past. And so either, personally, I'll play music that I wanna play, that I believe in, or I won't play music at all. And I've done that; that's me. And I think the other guys [in THE WINERY DOGS], I won't speak for them, but making a record with them, and knowing them as well as I do now, I don't think THE WINERY DOGS would make a record that the three of us would put out that we all didn't love."

He continued: "Once you start looking at music like a math equation and you start making choices that are outside the realm of creativity, you put yourself in a situation for a lot of emotional failure. And when you are there, then the music is meaningless and everything suffers and then things fall apart. So, I think, whatever we do, we'll do what feels natural and what the three of us can get behind. Even in the decision-making process, if I make a suggestion and one of the other guys loves it, but the other guy doesn't, we don't do it. We don't move unless all three of us agree to move. And then that way, once you're in a position, at least you know all three of us decided to go here; it's not like we were drug here by… you know what I'm trying to say?! By someone that didn't wanna go there."

Asked if THE WINERY DOGS will make a conscious effort to create a second album that will be stylistically similar to the debut, Richie said: "I don't think in those terms. We're gonna write what we we're gonna write. We're gonna get in a room and we're gonna do what we did last time. Mike's gonna play a drum beat, I'm gonna sing a chorus idea and Billy's gonna play a bass thing, and we're gonna jam on it and manipulate it and write to it. And it's gonna be what it's gonna be, because, like I said, music isn't math to me; music is something that you feel, that comes from creativity."

CHILDREN OF BODOM: New Touring Guitarist ANTTI WIRMAN

CHILDREN OF BODOM: New Touring Guitarist ANTTI WIRMAN 'Was The Obvious Choice'

Finnish metallers CHILDREN OF BODOM have recruited Antti Wirman, the younger brother of the band's keyboardist Janne Wirman, to handle second-guitar duties for their upcoming shows.

Antti, who has been a member of Janne's band WARMEN since 2001, made his live debut with CHILDREN OF BODOM last Saturday night (May 30) when the group played a surprise six-song set at Nosturi in Helsinki, Finland.

"We wanted to go with someone close to the band we can count on and who can nail these songs. Antti was the obvious choice", says Janne.

Antti will continue playing with CHILDREN OF BODOM through the band's appearance at the Kuopio RockCock festival on August 1. The group will then decide what to do about the second-guitarist position on a more permanent basis.

CHILDREN OF BODOM's first official concert with Antti will take place on Thursday, June 4 at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden.

CHILDREN OF BODOM last week announced the departure of the band's guitarist of the past decade, Roope Latvala. The band explained in a statement: "As we parted ways with no bad blood, we wish him nothing but the best and thank him for allowing us to share the last twelve years of our lives with him. [We] hope [the fans] know that this will not affect the upcoming shows or the new album as we recorded it as a four-piece and it is already mixed, mastered, heavy as shit and ready to go!"

CHILDREN OF BODOM's new CD is due later in the year via Nuclear Blast.

The band's last studio effort, "Halo Of Blood", was certified gold in Finland for sales in excess of 10,000 copies. The album, which sold 8,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release, was made available in June 2013 in North America via Nuclear Blast.

TOOL

TOOL's MAYNARD JAMES KEENAN Undergoes Hip Replacement Surgery

Maynard James Keenan of TOOL, A PERFECT CIRCLE and PUSCIFIER has just undergone total Hip replacement surgery. He posted a post-operation photo on Facebook with the following explanation: "Didn't want to freak anyone out. Wanted to wait until out of the woods. Years of foot stomping left me with no cushion in my right hip. Full replacement yesterday. Walking today."

Keenan, who was recently presented with a purple belt in jiu jitsu, added: "12 weeks, back on the mat to work toward the brown belt."

Keenan told Punchdrink.com that a new PUSCIFER set is nearing completion for a tentative fall release, although he did not elaborate with any further details.

PUSCIFER has existed in some form since 1995 but only began making records in 2007.

TOOL guitarist Adam Jones revealed in March that the band had finally settled a multi-level lawsuit that had dragged on for eight years and set back its recording and touring plans.

Jones also revealed that an undisclosed member of the band faced a "really scary do-or-die, serious illness" not long ago.

The band is now reportedly working at a faster pace on music for its first new studio set since 2006's "10,000 Days".

"It is now that we come to announce that 3 INCHES OF BLOOD has decided to part ways.

GEORGE LYNCH: Video For

GEORGE LYNCH: Video For 'Fallen' Song From 'Shadow Train' Two-CD Set

Legendary guitarist George Lynch's "Shadow Train" project finally comes to light in an all-new 18 track deluxe edition two-CD set, due on July 17 via Rat Pak Records. The former DOKKEN and current LYNCH MOB axeman's stellar guitar work is combined with contributions from vocalist Gregg Analla, bassist Gabe Rosales, keyboardist Donnie Dickman and drummer Jimmy D'Anda to create honest, soulful and meaningful rock, blues and hard rock-based music, making this release a must-have for all Lynch fans.

Songs on this disc are also featured in Lynch's forthcoming movie, "Shadow Nation", a thought-provoking documentary that explores the trials and tribulations that face Native American Indians in our world today.

About the release, George says: "I've spent over four decades of my life pursuing elusive musical aspirations. But for even longer than that, I've cared, studied and thought deeply about the human condition and how we interact with each other and the world around us. Fusing these two aspirations into one has been a challenge for me throughout my creative life. This is my attempt at bonding the music and the message into one cohesive whole."

"Shadow Train" track listing:

Disc 1

01. Vulture02. Currency Of Lies03. Power And Resistance04. Now It's Dark05. Vulture (Slight Return)06. I Am Weapon07. Ghost08. White Clay09. Fight No More

Disc 2

01. Believe02. Blinded03. Fallen04. Glitter05. Prayer Mechanism06. Sioux Wake Up07. Trail Of Tears08. Under A Crooked Sky09. World On Fire

Pre-order bundles are available at this location.

The official video for the song "Fallen" can be seen below.

"Shadow Nation" film synopsis: "[The film] will illuminate the cost of the destruction of the Native American community; to both the indigenous population as well as to their European conquerors. The documentary will reveal the qualities inherent in indigenous people's world views that should be recognized and adopted if we all, collectively, intend to not only survive, but to find a way to live happier, more meaningful lives. While engaging a wide variety of opinions from notable activists, authors, artists, elders and shaman, politicians and government officials, clergy, teachers and everyday people, the film will reveal its message through a powerful music-driven road trip.

"The journey begins as renowned guitarist George Lynch, drummer, artist and activist Vinnie Nicastro and a musical band of politically engaged musicians climb into an old station wagon in the southwest desert. They pull a vintage horse trailer, retro-fitted to carry band equipment, solar panels, generators and camping gear.

"They travel the back roads, searching for a truth that can speak to power. They visit the Apache, Navajo and Hopi reservations in Arizona, Zuni and Tewa in New Mexico, Shoshone in Nevada, Utes in Utah and Colorado and then on to the Dakotas to visit the people and places that were (and still are) the epicenter of conflict between the native peoples and their European conquerors.

"The people they visit on the reservations will share how they have created sensible environmentally sustainable solutions that work in today’s world. Simple and proven practices like passive solar water heaters on the Paiute reservation, active community gardens and other ideas will be explored. Then as [they] move on to other reservations, they will help to integrate these workable procedures, pick up more ideas and carry them further."

ANNIHILATOR

ANNIHILATOR's JEFF WATERS Returns To Lead Vocals On Band's New Album, 'Suicide Society'

Canadian thrash/heavy metal masters ANNIHILATOR will release their fifteenth studio album, "Suicide Society", on September 18 via UDR Music. As he has in the past, guitar wizard Jeff Waters handled all songwriting duties, played all guitar and bass, engineered, produced, mixed and mastered "Suicide Society", and he is also back commanding lead-vocal duties, as he did on the critically acclaimed "King Of The Kill" (1994), "Refresh The Demon" (1996), "Remains" (1997) and other ANNIHILATOR albums over the years.

Waters on his return to vocal duties: "Dave [Padden, ANNIHILATOR's vocalist from 2003 to 2014) and I have, essentially, been ANNIHILATOR since 2003 but he resigned last December, citing having had enough of touring, being away from home and other commitments. I thank him for his 11 years with ANNIHILATOR. That said, ANNIHILATOR and I are known for never giving up and, occasionally, coming up with something even better than its former offering(s): this is undeniably the case with 'Suicide Society'!"

With "Suicide Society", ANNIHILATOR goes headfirst into some of the most technically perfect, crisp, and crushingly taut, riffage Waters has ever produced. Although Waters' vocals keep traces of stylings from his "King Of The Kill" album, they now evoke a surprising blend of legends such as Layne Staley, Ozzy Osbourne, James Hetfield and Dave Mustaine. This, in a twisted way, mirrors Waters' signature blend of riffing, drums grooves and bass; all drawing from multiple sources and genres.

Waters has built a worldwide reputation as being a premier guitarist and songwriter; the conciseness and arrangement of "Creepin' Again" is both an air-guitarist's dream and a sharp reminder of this. The gloriously-brutal thrash of "My Revenge" calls up a vintage of '85 with the technical chops of 2015. The neo-classic title track defiantly expresses anger at the state of world affairs, while offering up hope in closing. With the multi-layered power of the anthem "Snap", Waters illustrates the diversity of ANNIHILATOR's sound, without sacrificing one decibel of attack.

"Metal fans will likely sport evil, satisfied grins on their faces, when they hear this record" chuckles Waters, "but in the words of Joe Perry: 'Let the music do the talking!'"

"Suicide Society" track listing:

01. Suicide Society02. My Revenge03. Snap04. Creepin' Again05. Narcotic Avenue06. The One You Serve07. Break, Enter08. Death Scent09. Every Minute

Check out audio samples in the YouTube clip below.

ANNIHILATOR's touring lineup will include drum monster Mike Harshaw, who continues on for his fourth year with the band; bassist Cam Dixon (from "King Of The Kill" era); and new guitarist Aaron Homma.

Aside from the band's upcoming, scheduled devastation at some of Europe's summer festivals (including Wacken Open Air), ANNIHILATOR will be headlining Europe this fall on the "Europe In The Blood" tour 2015. Talks are underway to bring the band to South America, Japan and likely North America in 2016.

LAMB OF GOD

LAMB OF GOD's CHRIS ADLER To Play Drums For MEGADETH At FESTIVAL D'ÉTÉ DE QUÉBEC

LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler has confirmed that he will sit behind the kit for MEGADETH's July 18 performance at the Festival D'été De Québec (also known as by its acronym FEQ, or Quebec City Summer Festival in English), in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.

Adler, who recenty laid down the drums on MEGADETH's upcoming studio album, is expected to play as many shows with the Dave Mustaine-led band as his LAMB OF GOD schedule will allow.

During a question-and-answer session at last weekend's Comicpalooza international comic convention in Houston, Texas, MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson stated about Adler: "Chris is such a fan of MEGADETH. Chris playing with MEGADETH would be like me joining KISS. We're, like, his favorite band ever and the band that got him into music. I mean, he's so humbly appreciative of the opportunity and being part of this. And so, anyway, we've talked about shows coming up, [and] Chris was, like, 'Dude, I'll move anything I can anywhere to try to make it happen; I just wanna play with MEGADETH.' He may play one show with us and go, 'That's it. I'm done. I don't ever wanna do that again.' So we'll find out as it's coming up. But the goal is Chris would like to play with us as much as possible. And we are still looking to where is the best time to release this new [MEGADETH] record, so as we're looking at some dates coming up, they're not necessarily predicated on the new album being out. And I guess it's kind of cool thing with MEGADETH — we can play shows and not necessarily have to have a new album to go play those [dates]."

Mustaine recently talked to Rolling Stone about his decision to enlist Adler to play on the new MEGADETH album, which is currently being recorded in Nashville, Tennessee. He said: "Our hopes were to have a permanent drummer, but the option to do a record with Chris was really exciting to me. So I thought, 'Well, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. We'll figure out what we're gonna do about live shows, who's gonna take the drum throne.' And we've looked at a lot of people. I talked with my friend [ex-DREAM THEATER drummer] Mike Portnoy, who I think is an amazing talent. I talked to [ex-SLAYER drummer] Dave Lombardo. [Current DREAM THEATER drummer] Mike Mangini's name has come up. But there was just something telling me to pause, saying, 'Really think about who you're gonna play with, Mustaine. Make sure you're going to do something that's really going to excite people and that is not predictable.' But we do have some live shows coming up and we have a drummer committed to our dates so far this year."

He continued: "But one of the things that was great about having Chris come in was he's been a fan for 30 years and he was able to say, 'Well, this is the stuff I like about my MEGADETH.' And it was 'OK, cool.' Because, you know, when we started we were a thrash and speed metal outfit, and as we got more successful and got more critical acclaim melody seeped in. I've always had a melodic content to my songs — it's kind of an innate thing from being brought up with three sisters who listened to Motown. But I think that being forced toward the end of our tenure with Capitol to try and become an alternative band, it muddied the water. And we did turn ourselves inside out a lot during the later Nineties and early part of the 2000s."

MEGADETH's next album will also be the band's first to feature Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro, best known for his work with ANGRA.

BRING ME THE HORIZON:

BRING ME THE HORIZON: 'Live At Wembley' DVD Artwork Unveiled

BRING ME THE HORIZON's "Live At Wembley" concert DVD, originally scheduled for May 29, will now arrive on June 22. The set was filmed last December in London when the Yorkshire-based band headlined that city's most prestigious venue, Wembley Arena.

The cover artwork for "Live At Wembley" can be seen below.

BRING ME THE HORIZON recently completed the touring cycle behind its fourth studio album, 2013's "Sempiternal", and singer Oliver Sykes told The Pulse Of Radio that the band noticed a difference in how it was treated in America. "We've always felt, I guess, a lot of love from America, but it's definitely gone to the next level, I reckon," he said. "The radio support and the new fans and, I don't know, it feels like a different band for this cycle and I think to a lot of people, we are a new band, which is fine with us."

BRING ME THE HORIZON's latest single, "Drown", recently hit No. 6 on the Active Rock radio chart.

The band is reportedly working on its fifth album, tentatively due later in the year.

NUCLEAR ASSAULT: Official Lyric Video For New Song

NUCLEAR ASSAULT: Official Lyric Video For New Song 'Analogue Man In A Digital World'

"Pounder", the new EP from thrash metal legends NUCLEAR ASSAULT, was released on CD and as a digital download on June 1 via drummer Glenn Evans's own Sidipus Records, with a deluxe vinyl version to follow on June 29 by U.K. crossover label Dry Heave Records.

The official lyric video for the song "Analog Man In A Digital World", taken from "Pounder", can be seen below.

When NUCLEAR ASSAULT announced last year that they would be reforming to celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2015 and undertake what was to be their "Final Assault" world tour, it didn't take long after their initial rehearsals for new music to emerge. The band entered Black Dog studio in Rochester, New York in January of this year and laid down four new songs. Semi-retired bass legend Dan Lilker has described these recordings as "four killer old-school thrash tunes." They are classic NUCLEAR ASSAULT — raw, fast, abrasive and delivered with their inimitable cynicism and vitriol. Written by the long-standing partnership of Lilker and guitarist/vocalist John Connelly (with the lineup completed by drummer Glenn Evans and guitarist Erik Burke) these new songs mark their first recordings since 2005's "Third World Genocide" album and their first EP release since 1988's "Fight To Be Free".

"Pounder" EP track listing: 01. Pounder02. The Blind Follow (a.k.a. Lies)03. Analogue Man In A Digital World04. Died In Your Arms

NUCLEAR ASSAULT released its first-ever DVD, "Louder Harder Faster", in October 2006 via Screaming Ferret Wreckords. Recorded during the band's performance at the 2005 Louder Harder Faster Festival (taped on June 5, 2005), the disc also includes such extra bits as vintage live footage, slide shows (put to the original "Survive" demos), music videos, in the studio footage, unreleased songs, and an interview with longtime members Danny Lilker and Glenn Evans.

Originally formed back in 1984, NUCLEAR ASSAULT bassist Lilker witnessed the birth of thrash metal first as an original member of ANTHRAX, as well as a crucial component to S.O.D., NUCLEAR ASSAULT and BRUTAL TRUTH.

While many thrash metal bands tempered their aggression with melody, NUCLEAR ASSAULT stuck to its guns throughout and in the process, released such thrash classics as 1988's "Survive" and 1989's "Handle with Care".

After an extended hiatus, the group returned in the early 21st century with its first new studio album in over a decade, 2005's "Third World Genocide".

THE SWORD's fourth album, "Apocryphon", sold nearly 17,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 17 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was produced and engineered by J. Robbins (CLUTCH, JAWBOX) at Magpie Cage Studios and features cover art by famed comic book artist J.H. Williams III (Batwoman, Promethea).

Asked by Radio Cannon in a 2014 interview how he feels the metal scene has evolved since THE SWORD started, the band's guitarist, Kyle Shutt, said: "It's funny, because I think when we started people reacted differently to us because the metal scene was dominated by these macho, wrestler-looking types, screaming at you, etc… And bands like that are dying out. It's becoming a lot more rock 'n' roll. And I also notice that heavy metal journalism in the last ten years is so much more positive compared to when we started. It was so negative back then. And you gotta have haters, you know what I'm saying? It's just that there used to besome serious debates about us on message boards where people would try to figure out what we did and have these crazy theories that we were like, this pre-packaged band. It was so hateful for no reason, and nowadays people are so much more accepting. I think music just got so terrible for a while and so many shitty bands got shoved down people's throats by record labels throwing money at record stations and I think people just started looking past the bullshit and are much more open-minded now, with awesome bands like GRAVEYARD and BOMBUS. Or AMERICAN SHARKS, from Austin. Just cool heavy bands getting exposure."

HIGH ON FIRE: New Song

HIGH ON FIRE: New Song 'The Sunless Years' Available For Streaming

California heavy rockers HIGH ON FIRE will release their new album, "Luminiferous", on June 16via eOne Music. Recorded at Salem, Massachusetts' GodCity Studios with producer Kurt Ballou, the CD is the follow-up to the group's 2012 release, "De Vermis Mysteriis", an album hailed as "not for the faint of heart " by The New Yorker and "a fantastically constructed bloodbath" by Entertainment Weekly.

Another song from "Luminiferous", titled "The Sunless Years", can be streamed using the SoundCloud widget below.

Universally recognized as one of the most potent acts in music today, HIGH ON FIRE creates molten heavy metal that merges primal fury and aggression, blackened bombast and hall of fame heaviness. The group's seventh studio album, "Luminiferous" is a supersonic exercise in conquest by volume, delivering calculated catharsis as a volcano of revolving riffs and hailstorm of thundering drums combine to beam a blazing spotlight towards the future of modern metal music.

"We're doing our part to expose The Elite and the fingers they have in religion, media, governments and financial world downfall and their relationship to all of our extraterrestrial connections in the race to control this world," comments HIGH ON FIRE vocalist/guitarist Matt Pike. "Wake up, it's happening. All while we stare at a socially engineered lie we think of as normalcy. Unless we wake from the dream, there will come true doom."

"I'm really happy HIGH ON FIRE decided to come back to GodCity to do another album," states producer and CONVERGE guitarist Kurt Ballou. "Having been a fan of theirs since 'The Art Of Self Defense', the opportunity to collaborate with one of my favorite bands has truly been an honor."

POWERWOLF: Official Lyric Video For New Song

POWERWOLF: Official Lyric Video For New Song 'Armata Strigoi'

The official lyric video for the song "Armata Strigoi" from multinational metallers POWERWOLF can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's sixth album, "Blessed & Possessed", which will be released on July 17 via Napalm. The CD was mixed at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden with Fredrik Nordström and Henrik Udd and was mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street. The album's cover artwork was once again created by POWERWOLF guitarist Matthew Greywolf.

Comments POWERWOLF guitarist Matthew Greywolf: "'Armata Strigoi' is one of the songs on 'Blessed & Possessed' that have this forceful ahead approach while maintaining that very unique POWERWOLF atmosphere, to me. Lyrically, the song is about the creature referred to as 'Strigoi' in eastern European mythology, a creature that might be considered the prototype of what became the vampire, though originally rather conneted to spiritual roots."

He added: "We love to research how mythology evolves and develops; stuff like that is our fuel for lyrics."

"Blessed & Possessed" track listing:

01. Blessed & Possessed02. Dead Until Dark03. Army Of The Night04. Armata Strigoi05. We Are The Wild06. Higher Than Heaven07. Christ & Combat08. Sanctus Dominus09. Sacramental Sister10. All You Can Bleed11. Let There Be Night

Catch POWERWOLF live on their very special "Wolfsnächte" tour. The wolves will be accompanied by ORDEN OGAN, CIVIL WAR and XANDRIA.

Three webisodes featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making of "Blessed & Possessed" can be seen below. Also available is the song "Army Of The Night".

The band said about "Army Of The Night": "'Army Of The Night' is one of the many songs of 'Blessed & Possessed' we can't wait to perform live. Already the very first time we played that song during the songwriting, the energy and dynamics literally blew us away and we felt like this is going to be a must-play. While many of the songs on 'Blessed & Possessed' are very detailed and elaborated, this one is probably one of straightest and most compact POWERWOLF songs to date."

POWERWOLF's fifth album, "Preachers Of The Night", entered the official chart in Germany at position No. 1. The CD was released in July 2013 via Napalm Records.

POWERWOLF's first live album, "Alive In The Night", was recorded exclusively for Metal Hammer, Germany's leading metal magazine. The CD was only available with the April 2012 issue of Metal Hammer.

DEIPHAGO Set Release Date For New Album, Premiere New Track

DEIPHAGO Set Release Date For New Album, Premiere New Track

Deiphago - one of the most violent bands on the planet - are set to release their fourth album, Into The Eye Of Satan, on August 7th via Hells Headbangers. Each Deiphago album has seen the Filipino power-trio push the furthest reaches of musical extremity, marking a place in time in their demonic development whilst creating a monument for all perpetuity. Into The Eye Of Satan is no different in this respect: founding demons Voltaire 666 (bass bulldozers and black vomits) and Sidapa (crasheraxe and leads) are once again joined by Savnok on deathhammers, picking up where they left off with Satan Alpha Omega in 2012.

With this lineup now solidified, Deiphago sought to create a new, defiling standard and went in search of esteemed producer Colin Marston (Gorguts) to man the recording console. And with the perfect amount of clarity and chaos, grit and gleam, Marston was able to capture Deiphago at their most defiant sonically, rendering Into The Eye Of Satan in pulverizing detail. But recording is nothing if not built upon a foundation of fiery creativity, and indeed do Deiphago distance themselves from the feeble black/death metal scene of today. In essence owing more to avant-garde composition than rote "extreme metal," Into The Eye Of Satan explodes with an angularity that's truly extreme, even for them. Sidapa's mind-melting solos, in particular, play a huge part in guiding the listener toward literally insane ends.

As ever, the combined crush 'n' sulfurous surge Deiphago so effortlessly harness is characteristically ultra-violent beyond compare. And in this case, in 2015, it is Into The Eye Of Satan that Deiphago lead us... Hear where it leads next with the newly revealed track, "Red Dragon Of Chaos," via the audio player below. The tracklisting and cover art are as follows.

Into the Eye of Satan by DEIPHAGO

"Intro: Abomination"
"Evil and Adverse"
"Bloodbath Of Genocide"
"(6 x 6 x 6) / 3"
"Serpentine Anti-World"
"Calculated Acts Of Cruelty"
"Red Dragon Of Chaos"
"Ritual Death Of The Enemy"
"Into The Eye Of Satan"

LOCRIAN Preview “An Index Of Air” Track From Upcoming Infinite Dissolution Album

LOCRIAN Preview “An Index Of Air” Track From Upcoming Infinite Dissolution Album

The latest full-length studio installation from experimental outfit, Locrian, has been completed, as the longstanding trio prepares to release Infinite Dissolution through Relapse Records in late July.

One of the most determined tracks on Infinite Dissolution, the nearly eight-minute-long "An Index Of Air" is subdivided into three movements - i. Divinations, ii. Air Structures, iii. and Watcher Of The Clouds - the track encompassing the apex of the record. The track delivers a permeating vision of our planet in environmental peril, as does the rest of the album, which is inspired by the book, The Sixth Extinction, a futurist look at the current mass extinction of Earth which our generation attempts to thrive within every day. Locrian is here joined by Dana Schechter of Insect Ark on slide guitar and Erica Burgner-Hannum of The Holy Circle on vocals, whose contributions help shape the segments of the song.

Issues Locrian on the intense track, “”An Index Of Air” was written as a three part suite with the first part, Divinations, being the calling forth of the atmosphere and trying to read the future from it. Air Structures takes its name from a Brian Eno/Robert Fripp live bootleg but is a narrative about the realization that the air being called forth will kill us and that we have brought this on ourselves. And Watcher Of The Clouds is a play on the Genesis song “Watcher Of The Skies”, but is also the shift in narrative voice where we predict a new atmosphere must be formed after humanity is extinct."

The soundtrack to the planet's ongoing collapse comes by way of "An Index Of Air" playing below:

2015 marks ten years since the formation of Chicago/Baltimore-based Locrian, who over the past decade has left a smoldering mass of well over twenty recordings in their wake, many of them self-released, many others through labels including Utech, Fan Death, Bloodlust!, Small Doses, At War With False Noise, and the group's private label Land of Decay before signing with Relapse Records in 2012 for the release of their The Clearing/The Final Epoch 2xCD. The band's experimental/avant approach unifies post-industrial and black metal persuasions in a crushing alloy of organic and mechanical elements, having earned them widespread media praise from countless underground and mainstream media outlets and journalist worldwide.

Locrian now return with Infinite Dissolution, another dark and cinematic work of exceptional aural artistry. More epic and foreboding than anything in the prolific trio's catalog, Infinite Dissolution was recorded at Steve Albini-owned/operated Electric Audio, produced by Greg Norman (Pelican, Russian Circles), and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, and is a multi-part concept album dealing with the struggle of human extinction. A seamless and harrowing blend of dark ambience, drone, black metal, post-rock, and experimental electronics, Infinite Dissolution is the perfect manifestation of modern, forward-thinking experimental music.

Having now been set for North American release on July 24th on CD, LP and digital formats, preorders for Infinite Dissolution have been released - including colored vinyl, merch bundles and more - alongside a visual trailer including the record's track listing and cover artwork, created from photos of a massive physical installation by sculptor David Altmejd.

NIGHTRAGE Release “Foul Vile Life” Digital Single From The Puritan Album

NIGHTRAGE Release “Foul Vile Life” Digital Single From The Puritan Album

Greek/Swedish melodic death metal band, Nightrage, has launched a new digital single, "Foul Vile Life," from its recently released sixth studio album, The Puritan, out now via Despotz Records. "Foul Vile Life" can be purchased on iTunes, and can be streamed along with the rest of the album below.

"This song is pure Nightrage style with thrashy riffs and ethereal melodies," commented guitarist/founder, Marios Iliopoulos. "I like the straightforward metal driving vibe of the song, and I remember this one was really easy for us to compose. Great vocal hooks here on the chorus from Ronnie, choir like, strong and powerful. The song has the signature Nightrage harmonies and tight signature riffs. The lyrics speak about this endless fight to get over your inner demons and break away from all the negativity and fear from the fake promises and lies. It's a journey trying to find your inner self from all the dark past."

The Puritan - an uncompromising, eerie, dramatic and melodic death metal journey in its purest essence - welcomes new Nightrage vocalist, Ronnie Nyman, to the mix. Nyman joins founding member, guitarist Marios Iliopoulos, and bassist, Anders Hammer, after performing with the band last year on its Japanese and Russian tours.

Album number six was produced by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, Devin Townsend, Soilwork) and George Nerantzis at Dugout Productions in Uppsala, Sweden.

METALLICA: Official Audio Of

METALLICA: Official Audio Of 'The Unforgiven II' Performance From ROCK IM REVIER Festival

METALLICA played the song "The Unforgiven II" live for the second time ever this past Friday night (May 29) at the Rock Im Revier festival in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The band has just released an official audio recording of the performance, and it can be streamed using the SoundCloud widget below.

"The Unforgiven II" was first aired during METALLICA's December 1997 performance at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada. The track, which appeared on METALLICA's 1997 album "Reload", is the sequel to the band's 1991 song "The Unforgiven", from METALLICA's mega-selling self-titled LP. A second sequel, titled "The Unforgiven III", was included on the group's last CD, 2008's "Death Magnetic".

Despite insisting that work has been proceeding on a new album, METALLICA has spent a lot of time outside the studio in the last year, with activities that included a string of European all-request shows last summer, a week-long residency on "The Late Show With Craig Ferguson", and this month's Rock In Rio USA stint.

More festival dates are on the schedule for this summer, including two shows in Montreal and a headlining slot at Lollapalooza in Chicago at the end of July.

TRIXTER: New Song

TRIXTER: New Song 'Every Second Counts' Available For Streaming

Frontiers Music Srl will release of the new studio album from good-time rock 'n' rollers TRIXTER, titled "Human Era", on June 5 in Europe and June 9 in North America.

The song "Every Second Counts" can be streamed below.

Following on the heels of the successful comeback album "New Audio Machine", TRIXTER is returning stronger than ever.

"After the success of our last album, 'New Audio Machine', we felt more confident than ever in making another top-notch album," says TRIXTER lead guitarist Steve Brown. "I'm so proud to say that after more than 25 years of making records, TRIXTER is getting better and better. 'Human Era' will show the world this band at its finest."

The new CD sees TRIXTER sticking to their guns and delivering 11 new choice cuts, with a sound reminiscent of their earlier work which they were well known for in the '90s. For fans new to TRIXTER, their sound fits in nicely to an album collection next to BON JOVI, DEF LEPPARD, VAN HALEN, AC/DC and even '70s classic rock mainstays.

"Almost 30 years together and the band is tighter than ever!" adds Brown. "We are family and that makes everything we do more and more special. The title track, 'Human Era', really sheds insight into our story."

The first video for the album's opening song, "Rockin' to the Edge of the Night", can be seen below.
