FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND:

FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND: 'Best Friends And Hospital Beds' Video Released

"Best Friends And Hospital Beds", the new video from U.K. post-hardcore veterans FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND, can be seen below. The song comes off the band's sixth studio album, "Conduit", which will be released in North America on February 5, 2013 via The End Records.

"Conduit" is the follow-up to 2011's critically acclaimed "Welcome Home Armageddon" and is the first album since the addition of new drummer Pat Lundy. FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND chose to work with producer Romesh Dodangoda (MOTÖRHEAD, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, LOSTPROPHETS) again after their success partnering on the band's last couple of records. Vocalist Matthew Davies-Kreye speaks of their working union, "To me, he gets our individual personalities and works his magic with each of us, making sure that we're all comfortable with what we have to do for the record."

"Conduit"is an album about being in a band and the title reflects what that means to the members of FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND. As Matt puts it, "Five people on a stage, a conduit for the message and the music, delivering that to people who want to listen in, be a part of whatever it is that we're doing and being involved. It's purely about delivering the message.

"After 10 years of being a band, we see how much what we've done has affected people who care about our stuff. Whether it's lyrics or whatever, these songs transcend us and become something more to a lot more people. It sounds lofty, I know, but that's how it feels to us when we meet the folks who dig our band and who treat these songs with so much love and respect. It blows our minds constantly."

The first single from the album, "Best Friends And Hospital Beds", will be released in the U.K. on November 12, following the band's appearance at the now-sold-out Vans Warped Tour U.K. date at London's Alexandra Palace on November 10.

RUSH And DEEP PURPLE Nominated For ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME Induction

RUSH And DEEP PURPLE Nominated For ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME Induction

RUSH and DEEP PURPLE are among 15 finalists for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame's Class Of 2013.

For the first time, the public gets to vote alongside the artists, historians and music industry insiders of the Rock Hall voting body. From now until December 5, fans can vote on RollingStone.com for the nominees they'd like to see inducted. The top five acts will comprise a "fan's ballot" that will count as one of the more than 600 ballots that determine the Class Of 2013. The results will be announced in mid-December.

The April 18, 2013 event is set for Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, marking the first time the ceremony will be held in the city since 1993. HBO will tape the show for broadcast at a later date.

"The definition of 'rock and roll' means different things to different people, but as broad as the classifications may be, they all share a common love of the music," stated Joel Peresman, President and CEO of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Foundation. "This year we again proudly put forth a fantastic array of groups and artists that span the entire genre that is 'rock and roll.'"

In an official statement, RUSH said: "We are honored to be among the nominees for this year's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. We are especially thrilled for the many, many dedicated fans to whom this nomination is so very important."

Artists are considered for inclusion in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 25 years after the release of their first recording.

Nominees for the 2013 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame:

* ALBERT KING
* CHIC
* DEEP PURPLE
* DONNA SUMMER
* HEART
* JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS
* KRAFTWERK
* THE MARVELETTES
* THE METERS
* N.W.A.
* PAUL BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND
* PROCOL HARUM
* PUBLIC ENEMY
* RANDY NEWMAN
* RUSH

Important note: Only five of the artists will make the final cut and be inducted into the Hall.

In a June 2012 interview with RollingStone.com, RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson was asked how he felt about having yet to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. "Honestly, we really, really don't care about it," he replied. "It's someone's thing, and they can do whatever they want with it. They can have whomever they like. It's their thing." He added, "It's a little bit different here in Canada. We've received awards that mean an awful lot more to us than being in the Hall Of Fame. We got the Governor General's Performing Arts Award a couple weeks ago. That's really the highest accolade you can get in this country for the performing arts, and it's recognized nationally, and I felt so proud as a Canadian to be in this esteemed group of artists that have been there for the last 20 years."

When asked if he and his bandmates would show up at the ceremony if they were eventually chosen to be inducted into the Rock Hall, Lifeson said, "I think we'd consider it at the time and just see where we're at. I mean, you don't want to be rude, and we're Canadians, and we find it very difficult to be rude as much as we'd really like to. [laughs] So we'd probably have to look at that one, if it ever came. I know there must be pressure from their end. We keep going on and getting more popular…"

He continued, "Look, there are a lot of other bands that should be in there before we should be in there... If the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame doesn't want us in there, that's fine. I don't care. It really, really doesn't matter at the end of the day. It's probably better left the way it is. There's more controversy for them and for us."

Speaking to VintageRock.com, DEEP PURPLE singer Ian Gillan recently stated about the possibility of one day being inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, "You've got to take this with great respect. We don't have anything like that where we come from, over in Europe or anywhere else. It's an American thing. It's so completely different. In America, you're great and really do support and show appreciation for your artists, musicians, film stars, whatever it may be. And you give them visible signs in accolades and all that sort of thing. And you cheer and…you're very supportive. It's the completely opposite in the U.K. They want to kill you. [laughs] The moment you get up to any form of success, they just want to wipe you out and deride you. It's part of the culture. At the same time, we've just focused on the music."

He added, "I honestly can't tell you whether or not we should be there or not. It could be because of the fragmented nature of the band that they wouldn't know how to deal with it.

"To us, with the greatest respect, it doesn't mean a lot although it's rather like an award in the U.K., if I were to get one. I probably wouldn't accept it. But then again, after a week of thinking about it, I would accept it because it would be on behalf on the family and friends and everyone who supports the band and who's looked after us after all these years. It's kind of a recognition of everyone. But whether we deserve it, I don't know. I always get embarrassed talking about this stuff."

Former PURPLE member Glenn Hughes recently said of the Hall Of Fame: "We know the people in charge and we know how they think. It's become like a joke in a way. Gene Simmons [KISS] will talk to me about it, and go on a rant and all, and he is exactly right. But I'm not gonna hold my breath. DEEP PURPLE, KISS, YES and especially RUSH should obviously all be in."

NIGHTWISH

NIGHTWISH's TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN Visits Disney California Adventure Park (Video)

NIGHTWISH mainman Tuomas Holopainen went to the Disney California Adventure Park in California with Noisecreep last week when the band played in Anaheim. In the video below, he talks about why he loves Disneyland, how it impacts his own art; what he would say to Walt Disney, if he could; a Scrooge McDuck-related project he's working on; and more!

In a January 2012 interview with Noisecreep, Holopainen revealed that he had been to Disneyland five times and "about nine times to Disney World in Florida." Asked if he found inspiration there, Tuomas said, "Absolutely. At all theme parks, actually. The imagination and stories you find in theme parks is very inspirational. I love all the details, characters — and, of course, the big roller coasters … I love [the big coasters]. At Universal City we had a day off so we visited the park. I went on 'Jurassic Park' three times. Actually I prefer 'The Simpsons' ride. And I love the studio tour, especially the 'King Kong In 3-D'."

MÖRKER Continue Work On New Album

MÖRKER Continue Work On New Album

Swedish black metallers MÖRKER have issued the following update:

"Long time since the last update, far too long unfortunately. We apologize for that! We know that many of you are wondering what the hell is going on. Well, nothing has really happened since the last update in March, because of some personal issues. But now we are back on track again with full force. As mentioned in the last update, three acoustic songs has been recorded earlier this year, and now there is only keyboard and piano left to record for those songs.
Tomorrow is the day that we all have been waiting for, we will finally enter Aurora Studios again to finish the three songs.

We have also set a date for the drum recordings, which will be November 10th-11th. As soon as the drums are ready, we will start with guitars and bass. Our plan is that we will have everything recorded, except for the vocals, by the end of 2012.

The yet untitled album will contain a total ten songs. This is all the information we can give you right now, since we don't have any song titles or anything else ready. When the tracklist, cover art etc. is done, it will be posted here!

That's all for now. Next update won't take six months, that's a promise!"

DEVIN TOWNSEND

DEVIN TOWNSEND's 'The Retinal Circus' To Be Filmed For DVD, Blu-Ray Release

Renowned multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer and now ringleader, Devin Townsend is gearing up for one of his biggest accomplishments to date: The Retinal Circus. Set to take place on October 27 at London, England's historic Roundhouse venue, this one-night-only event will be recorded for both DVD and Blu-ray, likely to be released sometime in the second quarter of 2013 via InsideOut Music.

The Retinal Circus has been sold out for over a year now; however, fans worldwide can still watch this event live online, thanks to Northern Music Company and InsideOut Music in association with Live Music Stage.

To watch Devin Townsend's The Retinal Circus online, go to this location to purchase your tickets (tickets can be bought now for £7.99, which is roughly $13 and ˆ10; PayPal and all major credit cards are taken). Then on October 27 at 7 p.m. GMT (8 p.m. CET / 2 p.m. EST / 11 a.m. PST / 2 a.m. Perth / 3 a.m. Tokyo / 5 a.m. Melbourne time), head back over to the same location, log in with your ticket number and watch the folly unfold.

Devin describes The Retinal Circus as "a retrospective of my career in music to date, with the central theme being a metaphor of how life and the adventures therein are a 'circus' of sorts. The show involves a cast of characters and guests that support this theme through carnival type performances. A story about how a troubled young man dreams of fantastic scenarios, (illustrated through the music of my back catalogue), which ultimately crests in the characters realization that life is all about the relationships we have with each other. This is the first opportunity I have been given to make theatrical representations of my music."

This three-hour-plus performance will include:

* A retrospective of Devin Townsend's entire career
* Full choir and theatrical cast
* Visual and aural enhancements unlike any show Devin has done to date
* Several special guests
* Circus and carnival performances and cast
* Art exhibit of Devin's albums, including explanations of each album

According to a press release: “The five-song EP assaults listeners with Meek’s special brand of techy, chaotic hardcore and manages to get in-and-out in about seven minutes.”

The Sun Where It Falls Off The Sky was mastered by Alan Douches (CONVERGE, MASTODON) at West West Side Music.

Local Brooklyn artist and illustrator Jeremiah Dube created the album cover as an amalgam of futuristic franchises.
The track listing for Into The Sun Where It Falls Off The Sky is as follows:

‘Private William Hudson (Dead Meat)’

KRAMPUS Drummer Struck By Lightning; Replacement To Be Announced Soon

Italian folk metal band KRAMPUS have announced that their drummer, Carlo Andrian, has left the band. Carlo was recently struck by lightning and will not be able to play the drums any time soon. The name of a new drummer will be announced soon.

Comments the band: "With one laughing and one crying eye we have to announce that our drummer Carlo has left Krampus effective immediately. He has, in fact, been struck by lightning and considers himself lucky to not have gotten hurt worse. He is OK, but will not be able to play the drums for some time to come. Carlo is a great friend of ours and we would like to thank him for the great effort and dedication he has had for the band. We wish him good and full recovery and all the best for his future endeavours. The good news is that we are already working on a replacement, and will have exciting news to announce sooner rather than later. Pittsburgh's GENE THE WEREWOLF Inks Deal With Frontiers; Album Details Revealed

Pittsburgh's GENE THE WEREWOLF Inks Deal With Frontiers; Album Details Revealed

Frontiers Records has announced the release of GENE THE WEREWOLF international debut album aptly entitled Rock N' Roll Animal on November 23rd in Europe.

The band hails from Pittsburgh when in 2007 five musicians disillusioned from their previous experiences decided to join forces in something "insanely different" from what they have been doing until then and “give a nod to the music we listened to growing up in the '80's. One of the more important aspects of the new project was to not take ourselves too seriously and have fun with it,” tells the band’s guitar player Drew Donegan.

Donegan describes Gene The Werewolf’s sound as “classic rock with a modern vibe”, similar to what bands like KISS, DEF LEPPARD, AC/DC and MÖTLEY CRÜE would sound like if they released their music today... a far cry from the pop-punk bands the band members had been in previously. “We also like the term diamond-core, because diamond is the hardest rock known to man,” Donegan adds.
When referring to Rock N' Roll Animal, the band's newest album, Gene exclaims: "It's the perfect soundtrack to a beer-infused Saturday night!"

Plenty of bands aren’t shy about flaunting cocky bios and making no secret of their self-perceived talent, but few take it as far as Gene the Werewolf. “We used to say we were the best rock band, but by now I’d say we’re just the best band ever,” Donegan said. “We play absurdly loud, sweat our asses off, and then sleep on filthy apartment floors together because we love doing it."

Ultimately, the band's intentions are as pure as they've ever been. "We formed this band to play loud, rowdy, and crude Rock N' Roll," says Gene. "I think with this record we've accomplished everything we've ever wanted out of being in a band together."

Gene The Werewolf newest videoclip 'I Only Wanna Rock N Roll' can be viewed below:
Rock N' Roll Animal includes the following cuts:
'Wicked Love'
'I Only Wanna Rock N Roll'
'Superhero'
'Heart Of Steel'
'Rock N Roll Animal'
'I've Got The Love'
'Ruffneck Woman'
'Light Me Up'
'Firecracker'
'Give It Up'
'The Ballad Of Gene'
'Make Love' (bonus track iTunes)

'I Only Wanna Rock n Roll' is streaming on Frontiers Records webradio at this location.
Gene The Werewolf is:
Jon Belan a/k/a Gene the Werewolf – vocals, guitar
Drew Donegan – guitar
Aaron Mediate – keyboards
Nick Revak – drums

FORCENTURY Signs With MIGHTY MUSIC

FORCENTURY Signs With MIGHTY MUSIC

Danish melodic metallers FORCENTURY have inked a deal with Mighty Music. The band's second album, "Revelant", will be released on December 3.

FORCENTURY embraces music from power metal to progressive metal with an unmistakable classic rock twist that draw inspirations from both the '80s pioneers (such as IRON MAIDEN and HELLOWEEN) and the contemporary inheritors (such as SYMPHONY X and PAGAN'S MIND). The quintet has existed for four years now and from day one a solid work ethic has been their core value — along with great passion for the music that they play. The complex compositions including twin guitars and soaring keyboards, yet always with a thread running through it, are tied together by the distinct classical AOR-sounding, forceful, vibrating vocal of the lead singer Johnn Thunder. The lyrics reveal issues such as the flaws of society, state of the world and the imperfection of man.

"Revelant" was recorded and engineered at the Copenhagen-based Earplug Studio (MERCYFUL FATE, DEMONICA, FORCE OF EVIL, FATE, PITCHBLACK, IRON FIRE). It was mixed at Denmark's legendary Medley Studios by Soren Andersen (GLENN HUGHES, MARCO MENDOZA, MIKE TRAMP, ARTILLERY, OLIVER WEERS). The artwork was created by Swedish artist Monowasp and is a continuation of the landscape, machinery and mood of the cover art from the debut album.

"Revelant" track listing:

01. Seal Of The Sinner (6:51)
02. Outcast (7:23)
03. Ashen (4:08)
04. The Shroud (7:08)
05. Repercussions Of Terror (8:56)
06. Beyond Recognition (6:13)
07. Safe Haven (5:36)
08. The Lust, The Desire And The Temptation (8:07)
09. The Reductionist (5:17)
10. Changing Ways (8:49)

Former ACCEPT Singer DAVID REECE Joins POWERWORLD

Former ACCEPT Singer DAVID REECE Joins POWERWORLD

German metal band POWERWORLD has enlisted American vocalist David Reece (ACCEPT, BANGALORE CHOIR) to replace Andrew "Mac" McDermott, who recorded the vocal parts on their second album, "Human Parasite", in 2010 and sadly passed away in August 2011.

Rumors that interims shouter Michael Bormann, who helped out on POWERWORLD's tour with Axel Rudi Pell, would sing on the upcoming album, have proved unfounded.

Commented POWERWORLD bassist Ilker Ersin: "It's true that we briefly toyed with the idea, but for various reasons we decided not to follow it up."

Ersin is all the more happy about his new colleague, David Reece: "It's an amazing experience for me to be working with an American instead of a European musician for the first time in my career, especially since David is an experienced vocalist. The first songs he recorded for POWERWORLD have confirmed my expectations."

Reece, who succeeded Udo Dirkschneider on the ACCEPT album "Eat The Heat" in 1989, went on to tour with ACCEPT and then founded BANGALORE CHOIR before releasing his celebrated solo debut, "Universal Language", three years ago, is also looking forward to his new challenge.

"POWERWORLD sound more progressive and intense than the stuff I recently worked on," he said. "I feel that my voice suits their material perfectly, and I'll work hard on delivering my optimum performance. I'm glad to be back home, because being married to a German woman, Germany is my favorite country in Europe."

POWERWORLD's new album, "Virtuality", is scheduled for release in the spring of 2013. According to Ersin, it's not a concept album but a recording which "reflects the madness in the virtual and also in the real world." Stylistically, "Virtuality" is a mix of modern metal with progressive influences and classic hard rock. Reece states: "We can hardly wait to introduce the new material to our fans and go on stage with them as soon as possible, particularly since we have found our ideal record company in SPV."

Along with Reece and Ersin, POWERWORLD 2012/2013 consists of Andreas Rippelmeier (guitar), Marco Grasshoff (keyboards) and Guido Gallus (drums).

CRYPTOPSY Guitarist To Sit Out Upcoming Shows; Temporary Replacement Announced

Guitarist Jon Levasseur of Canadian extreme metal veterans CRYPTOPSY will be forced to sit out the band's dates in support of their new, self-titled album. Filling in for him will be former CRYPTOPSY member Youri Raymond.

Raymond left CRYPTOPSY in December 2011, explaining in a statement that "it's in the best interest of both the band and I to part ways." He added, "As a musician, moving from guitar to bass was a great challenge, but honestly, I never really felt comfortable in that position and my motivation in general was stagnating."

The self-titled new album from CRYPTOPSY will be released in the U.S. on November 20 via Cryptopsy/Defen Society in association with Revulotion Harmony/Candlelight Records. Pre-orders for the album are available through the band at Cryptopsy.ca.

The cover artwork for "Cryptopsy" was created by Mircea Gabriel Eftemie (MNEMIC).

CRYPTOPSY in January tapped bassist Olivier Pinard (NEURAXIS, VENGEFUL) as the replacement for guitarist-turned-bassist Youri Raymond.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE To Release 20th-Anniversary Box Set In November

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE To Release 20th-Anniversary Box Set In November

Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release "Rage Against The Machine - XX", commemorative 20th anniversary editions of the eponymous debut album by a great American rock band, on Tuesday, November 27.

Originally released in November 1992, "Rage Against The Machine" signaled the arrival of a revolutionary musical force, a band straddling the worlds of hip-hop and heavy metal with a scorching streetwise sound that rapped and rhymed hardcore across a musical backdrop as menacing and inspirational as graffiti. RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE entered the popular lexicon as more than just a revolutionary American rock band, the group's very name provided a rallying battle cry for the ongoing struggles for liberation- — psychic and political — on planet earth.

Formed in 1991, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE opened the gates of a new boundary-obliterating rock-rap musical alliance with the band's literate and politically charged debut album. Driven by Tom Morello's unmistakable guitar wallop and vocalist Zack de la Rocha's salient bulletins from the front, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE became a critical and commercial success, selling millions of copies around the world while attaining legendary status among alt-rock fans. To this day the album, and the band, remain standard-bearers for uncompromising incendiary rock.

Newly remastered for this anniversary release, "Rage Against the Machine - XX" will be available as a CD in three configurations:

1) 20th Anniversary Edition Deluxe Box Set housing two CDs, two DVDs, one 12" 180gm vinyl LP, one 40 page booklet and two-sided poster;

2) 20th Anniversary Special Edition featuring two CDs and a bonus DVD featuring six tracks in an oversized softpack, and

3) 20th Anniversary Edition single compact disc (with three bonus tracks)

"Rage Against the Machine - XX" (20th Anniversary Edition Deluxe Box Set)

CD 1 includes the original album, remastered, with 3 bonus tracks of collectible B-sides from era.

CD 2 presents the original RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE demo tape. Recorded in 1991 and sold for $5 at the merch table at early RAGE shows, the tape achieved mythical word-of-mouth status amongst music fans while helping to seal the band's deal with Epic Records. The 20th anniversary releases of "Rage Against the Machine - XX" marks the first time the entire RATM demo tapes have seen a full official release.

DVD #1 features RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's historic free concert in Finsbury Park on June 2010, performed as a thank-you to U.K. fans for making "Killing In The Name" the U.K.'s Number One Single during Christmas week 2009. Also included is the band's groundbreaking music videos plus live concert performance clips, some of which are released for the first time ever.

DVD #2 takes you back to the release of RAGE's debut album focusing on live performance from 1991 to 1994 and which features for the first time the full set of RATM's first public performance as well as various live clips.

"Rage Against The Machine - XX" includes new liner notes, penned especially for the band's 20th anniversary by longtime fan and hip-hop pioneer Chuck D.

METALLICA, KISS, FOREIGNER Members Attend LED ZEPPELIN Movie Premiere In New York (Video)

METALLICA, KISS, FOREIGNER Members Attend LED ZEPPELIN Movie Premiere In New York (Video)

Kirk Hammett (METALLICA), Paul Stanley (KISS) and Mick Jones (FOREIGNER) are among the musicians who attended yesterday's (October 9) premiere of LED ZEPPELIN's press new concert movie, "Celebration Day", at the historic Ziegfeld Theater in New York's theater district.

A two-minute video report on the event from Reuters can be seen below.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, a slightly testy LED ZEPPELIN met the press yesterday at New York's Museum Of Modern Art following the screening of "Celebration Day". Although John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham were respectful to the writers and reporters, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were clearly annoyed that they genuinely wanted to know if the band is considering any new work or concerts. Page and Plant would respond to any reunion questions by staring the reporter down — Plant alternately pretended to snore and even called a reporter from The Associated Press a "schmuck" for asking about the future of LED ZEPPELIN.

Page and Plant — who, while hawking their five-year-old reunion concert CD/DVD — couldn't be bothered to honestly answer the press, who tried gamely to play along with the fact that they were supposed to ignore the 300 pound gorilla in the room, which was that LED ZEPPELIN were right in front of them and NOT making music. At one point Page tersely answered a reporter's reunion question. "Well, look; at this time four years ago, we'd have been rehearsing to get to the O2," he said. "In December it'll be five years since the O2. So, that's a number of years that pass in between, so that seems unlikely, if there wasn't a whisper, or a hint that we would get together to do something or other. I'd say even two years ago, or whatever. Seems pretty unlikely, that's what I think."

Rock writer Bill Flanagan, the editorial director MTV Networks, served as the moderator and gently coaxed Plant into finally answering the reunion question with a bit of respect for the reporters in the room. "We were so happy that we were actually gettin' it right [coughs] and taking it beyond what we thought we were about that night," he said. "There were moments in it where we just took off and pushed off in some place. The responsibility of doing that four nights a week for the rest of time is a different thing. 'Cause, we're pretty good at what we do; the tail should never wag the dog. If we're capable of doing something in our own time that will be what will happen. So any inane questions who are from syndicated outlets [laughs], you should just really think what it takes to answer a question like that in one second, y'know? We know what we've got."

WHITESNAKE: Third Part Of Q&A With DAVID COVERDALE, DOUG ALDRICH (Video)

WHITESNAKE: Third Part Of Q&A With DAVID COVERDALE, DOUG ALDRICH (Video)

The latest episode of Whitesnake TV, featuring the third part of a question-and-answer session between WHITESNAKE frontman David Coverdale and guitarist Doug Aldrich, can be seen below.

In a recent interview with Albania's Top Channel web site, Coverdale was asked what fans can expect from the band in the near future. "I am always reticent to discuss in detail what we're planning as I still enjoy 'surprises.'"

He continued, "In this day and age, with global technology and overwhelming social media, it is getting harder and harder to keep anything secret until they are ready to be presented. We host a very interactive global web site with Whitesnake.com and I answer people's questions as much as I can without giving too much away."

"We are very, very active this year behind the scenes. Many exciting things in the pipeline. Two projects I can tell you about are related to completing the 'Forevermore' project. An in-concert DVD from last year's tour and also a double live CD featuring different shows. It's shaping up very well indeed and I think a lot of people will enjoy re-living the concert experience they had with us in 2011. We have also started Whitesnake TV, which is off to a fantastic start and seems to be making a lot of people happy."

Asked if WHITESNAKE will tour next year, Coverdale said, "There are plans to start in Europe in May, I heard, but as yet there is nothing concrete. But, of course, we hope to be out there again. We have too much fun with audiences to stay at home for too long!"

Regarding whether all his plans involve WHITESNAKE, or if fans can expect any other collaborations or solo projects, Coverdale said, "WHITESNAKE is my priority and at this time I have no other plans to collaborate with other artists. But, you know rock and roll… Everything can change with a phone call."

ENDEZZMA: Debut Album Details Revealed

ENDEZZMA: Debut Album Details Revealed

Norwegian black metallers ENDEZZMA will release their full-length debut, "Erotik Nekrosis", on November 28 in Europe and February 5, 2013 in the U.S. via Agonia Records. The seven-track follow-up to 2008's MCD "Alone" features a lineup of musicians who between them can lay claim to decades of experience garnered in the earlier and darker recesses of the Norwegian black metal scene: Morten Shax on vocals, the late Trondr Nefas (URGEHAL, BEASTCRAFT, VULTURE LORD) and Mattis Malphas (BEASTCRAFT) on guitars, Sregroth (URGEHAL, ÅSMEGIN) on bass and Carl Balam (NATTEFROST, ASTAROTH, ex-INFERNAL) on drums. The CD was recorded at the Slaughterhaus Studio in Oslo and crafted by producer Robert Blix. Artwork is by the Kazakhstani artist Alexandr Balinets.

"Erotik Nekrosis" track listing:

01. Junkyard Oblivion
02. Enigma Of The Sullen
03. Against Them All
04. Swansong Of A Giant
05. Hollow
06. Krossing Rubikon
07. Soulcleansing

ENDEZZMA offers up the cold atmosphere that permeated the sounds that came out of the original Norwegian black metal scene and combines them with eerie, seductive compositions to form the epitome of nekro requiems. The ENDEZZMA of today can trace its roots back to 1992 with frontman Morten Shax's band DIM NAGEL, which, as is often the case with bands, went through the usual vicissitudes of bankrupt labels and states of hibernation. It wasn't until 2006 that Shax decided the time was right to start playing again and, recruiting URGEHAL's Trondr Nefas, set about transforming his old band. On the way to their first festival gig in 2007, Shax changed the name of the band to ENDEZZMA, and the transformation was well and truly underway.

Commenting on "Erotik Nekrosis" and the delays that dogged the album, including the tragic and untimely death of Trondr Nefas, Shax had this to say: "After delays that almost seem to have been a series of malicious and morbid curses conspiring against us, it is with understandable relief that we can finally get 'Erotik Nekrosis' out there.

"The reasons for the delay are legion, and it is probably best just to say that the path of darkness is a troubled and mysterious journey through life and there's an intensity to the sickness that accompanies it which can only be dealt with over short periods of time. Sadly, too, it is impossible to predict the season that death will gather its harvest, and we lost Trondr Nefas — our close friend, our brother and our guitarist, under tragic circumstances.

"It's been five years since we released 'Alone', so it's definitely time for ENDEZZMA to turn the page on what went before and move forward.

"I know many people have been waiting and waiting for this album, and some probably gave up along the way, but I hope we will not let down all of the patient morbid souls.

"This album is for all of the individuals that stayed true to the band, all of you who never stopped waiting. 'Erotik Nekrosis' is dedicated to death and to you, Trondr!"

'Ex-Wives Of Rock': More Deleted Scenes Posted Online

"Ex-Wives Of Rock", the new reality series which "chronicles the highs and lows of the glamorous L.A. lives of four women who have led the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll life... and have survived to reinvent themselves," premiered on August 31 on the Canadian network Slice.

The show, which is co-produced by the FEMME FATALE frontwoman Lorraine Lewis, and is brought by the Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based distribution company Tricon Films & Television, follows video vixen Susan Dixon (ex-wife of WARRANT bassist Jerry Dixon); Bobbie Brown (ex-wife of WARRANT frontman Jani Lane); drummer and Tommy Lee's sister, Athena Lee (ex-wife of SCORPIONS drummer James Kottak); and Sharise Neil (ex-wife of MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil). Throughout each episode, you will see all sides of the four ex-wives: the good, the bad and the ugly. We'll witness family drama, messed up love lives and friendships crash and burn. We'll see the glamorous red carpet events, the seedy rock clubs, the fabulous hotel lunches and the quiet dinners at home.

Being "hair-band groupies" is far in the past for these now late-thirties, early-forties ladies; but that doesn't mean their rock 'n' roll days are over. Their journey begins where one life has ended and another one has just begun. They are mothers. Business owners. Partiers. And ladies of the L.A. lifestyle.

A couple of newly released "Ex-Wives Of Rock" "deleted scenes" can be seen below.

ADLER:

ADLER: 'Back From The Dead' Cover Artwork Unveiled

ADLER, the new band led by former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler, will release its debut album, "Back From The Dead", in North America on November 26 via New Ocean Media. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Jeff Pilson (FOREIGNER, DOKKEN) and mixed by Jay Ruston (ANTHRAX, STONE SOUR), the CD consists of 11 tracks, ranging from adrenaline-pumping rockers ("Back From The Dead", "Own Worst Enemy", "Another Version Of The Truth") to arena-rock anthems ("Good To Be Bad", "Blown Away") to powerful, heartfelt ballads ("Waterfall", "Just Don't Ask"). The album features guest appearances by Adler's former GUNS N' ROSES bandmate Slash and ROB ZOMBIE/ex-MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5.

ADLER is comprised of Steven Adler, frontman Jacob Bunton (LYNAM, MARS ELECTRIC), guitarist Lonny Paul (ADLER'S APPETITE), and bassist Johnny Martin (CHELSEA SMILES).

"The process of making this record was incredible," states Bunton. "Our musical influences are all over the place and this record is a perfect reflection of everything that we love about rock 'n' roll."

"I'm so proud of this record," adds Adler. "This is the record I've been wanting to make for over 20 years and now I've finally found the band with the perfect chemistry to make it happen!"

"Back From The Dead" track listing:

01. Back From The Dead
02. Own Worst Enemy
03. Another Version Of The Truth
04. The One That You Hated
05. Good To Be Bad (featuring John 5)
06. Just Don't Ask (featuring Slash)
07. Blown Away
08. Waterfall
09. Habit
10. Your Diamonds
11. Dead Wrong

The album is now available for pre-order at this location.

The CD's first single, "The One That You Hated", is out now on iTunes and the accompanying video can be seen below.

In a recent interview with Bloody-Disgusting.com, Bunton stated about "The One That You Hated", "That was actually the first song that me and Lonny wrote together, and the last song that we recorded. How it came about was we were just sitting in Lonny's living room with a couple of acoustic guitars, and I had the music and the verses, I just didn't have the chorus, and once it got to the chorus, Lonny just started singing 'I'm the one that you hated,' and I was like, 'That's it, that's awesome!' So it came together really naturally and really quick. And the funny thing is, it's the first single, but it's not like it's the best song on the record or anything like that. Literally, Steven was about to go into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and he said, 'You know, Slash has got his thing and Duff [McKagan] has got his thing, but nobody's heard anything from me for a long time. I would like my fans to know what I'm up to.' So, literally, we just pointed at a piece of paper with all of the songs that we had recorded on it, and went, 'Eeny meeny miny moe,' and that's the one that we picked. And we shot the video, and the cool thing about it is VH1 just added the video two weeks ago. So they've been playing it, which is very cool."

ADLER will make its live debut with KISS on the Kiss Kruise, which is setting sail October 31 - November 4, 2012 from Miami, Florida to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas onboard the Norwegian Pearl..

"I can't wait to start playing live with this band," states Paul. "To play our first few shows with KISS is simply amazing!"

DRAGONFORCE's new album, "The Power Within", sold 5,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 74 on The Billboard 200 chart.

DRAGONFORCE's previous CD, "Ultra Beatdown", opened with 24,000 units back in September 2008 to land at No. 18.

DRAGONFORCE's recent North American headlining tour marked the band's first trek with new singer Marc Hudson, who also makes his recorded debut on "The Power Within".

"The Power Within" was released in the U.K. on April 16 via the band's own Electric Generation Recordings, distributed by Essential Music.

Guitarist Herman Li recently stated about "The Power Within", "The last two years have been the most fun we ever had making an album. Through writing, jamming and touring together, we have built this incredible energy and it has been fully captured on the new album.

"This time around we've really brought our metal side to the surface and made some of the best music of our career. From the fastest song we've ever recorded ['Fallen World'] to the slower songs, and some things you would never expect from us, this is by far the most diverse DRAGONFORCE album yet."

Li added, "This is an exciting new era for DRAGONFORCE with Marc joining the band, so we figured this was an ideal time to take full control of our own destiny and establish our own record label for Europe. It's all hands on deck running it, but a great buzz!"

SAIGON KICK Guitarist Jason Bieler's OWL STRETCHING Posts New Song 'Violent World' Online

SAIGON KICK Guitarist Jason Bieler's OWL STRETCHING Posts New Song 'Violent World' Online

SAIGON KICK guitarist Jason Bieler recently launched a new project dubbed OWL STRETCHING, which he told BW&BK first-hand is "a constantly morphing project with different guests that I use as a vehicle to release new music." Check out the new song 'Violent World' below:
During an exclusive interview with BW&BK discussing the rumours of a Saigon Kick reunion Bieler shed some light on Owl Stretching:

“Owl Stretching is me working with different musicians, some of them older and more experienced, some new guys, and constantly messing with it and evolving with it. Because I own a label and a studio, I don’t really have to do anything. It’s been the most fun, and the most dangerous in a sense, because I really don’t care. I can do what I want with whoever I want and how I want along with the people working with me, with no real justification for it. I’m not concerned about whether radio will like it or being able to tour with it. We’re just making music that we think is cool for that moment. We’ve only done a few things so far, but the diversity of Owl Stretching makes Saigon Kick look like a death metal band (laughs).”

According to a recent update posted on the official Saigon Kick Facebook page, the band has gotten back together:

"A 20 year lapse has finally come to an end. Saigon Kick will be reuniting with all original members for a few shows this fall. Let's see if we can even make it past the first rehearsal."
Vocalist Matt Kramer checked in directly with BW&BK and added to the announcement:

"No news yet, but we're on for giving a few shows a shot. The official line-up is confirmed for now: me (lead vocals), Jason Bieler (lead guitar), Phil Varone (drums), Tom Defile (bass) and Chris McLernon (rhythm guitar)."

McLernon was not a part of the original line-up, but came aboard as the band's bassist for the Water album in 1993 and remained with the band until they unofficially called it quits in 1999.

In a recent interview with Bieler - conducted before the reunion was 100% confirmed - he offered his thoughts on getting back together:

"The funny thing is I’ve done other things, I’m doing other projects, I’m having a blast, so when Phil (Varone/drums) reached out to me about doing a reunion… I don’t know. My only thing about Saigon Kick is that I wouldn’t want it to be a 'Will Work For Food' tour. I hate that, and I expressed to the guys that whatever and if ever we do something, I want to do it at a level that’s higher and better than it was. You tend to remember the best things about a band when they’re younger, and when you see them when you’re older you think 'Oh man, they suck! Maybe they’re still the same band and just never got any better.' I’d want to go out there and capture something, do something great. If we’re going to do some shows, I don’t want to show up with one flashlight and rip off the fans to make an extra $200. That’s not what I’m interested in."

DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA - 'Black Box Messiah' Video Shoot Planned For December

DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA - 'Black Box Messiah' Video Shoot Planned For December

Sweden's eclectic metal troupe DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA released their third full-length, Pandora's Piñata, back in May 2012. According to a brief update the band is planning to shoot a video for the song 'Black Box Messiah' in Decemember, directed by Klas Hjertberg. More details will be revealed soon

The follow-up album to their 2009-released Sing Along Songs For The Damned And Delirious, also released via Sensory, Pandora’s Piñata finds Diablo Swing Orchestra expanded into a massive eight-piece lineup, with the permanent addition of two horn players. The new album is a smörgåsbord of different levels of musical insanity building on the foundation laid down on their previous album. And as always the musical mayhem is fronted by the glass shattering voice of Annlouice Loegdlund, a metal queen at night but a trained opera singer by day, her incredibly infectious and professional range setting the rest of the incredibly layered tunes alive with vibrant flames of originality.

The theme of the album follows the seven cardinal sins that one can imagine falling out of this like-no-other-audio-visual-piñata. The story is also followed up in the artwork which as usual has been created by the band’s bass player Anders Johansson. For the third time the band collaborated with renowned Swedish illustrator Peter Bergting to create the album cover. Featuring over fifty minutes of brand new material sure to enlighten, empower, and likely even confuse the everyday metal fan, Pandora’s Piñata is undoubtedly an album that most any fan of extreme musical experimentation should experience.

Pandora’s Piñata tracklisting:

'Voodoo Mon Amour'
'Guerrilla Laments'
'Kevlar Sweethearts'
'How To Organize A Lynch Mob'
'Black Box Messiah'
'Exit Strategy Of A Wrecking Ball'
'Aurora'
'Mass Rapture'
'Honey Trap Aftermath'
'Of Kali Ma Calibre'
'Justice For Saint Mary'

INCANTATION: New Album Cover Artwork, Track Listing Revealed

INCANTATION: New Album Cover Artwork, Track Listing Revealed

Pennsylvania-based extreme metallers INCANTATION have revealed the cover art and track listing for their new conceptual album, "Vanquish in Vengeance", due in November via Listenable Records. The long-awaited followup to 2006's "Primordial Decimation" carries a recurring lyrical theme that addresses the countless acts of genocide in the name of religion throughout our history.

"Vanquish In Vengeance" was recorded at Mars Studio with Bill Korecky and was mixed by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studios. Cover art comes courtesy of Worthless.

Commented INCANATATION mainman John McEntee: "The title track is about the massacre of Saxons in the town of Verdun in 782, called on by order of King Charlemagne.

"As an album title, it has a different meaning to me. 'Vanquish In Vengeance' symbolizes the long history of the band. We have fought many battles over the years to keep things going. We have always stayed true to our original vision and have never caved into trends. After a long wait between albums we are back with a vengeance with some of our darkest and heaviest material to date."

"Vanquish in Vengeance" track listing:

01. Invoked Infinity
02. Ascend into the Eternal
03. Progeny of Tyranny
04. Transcend into Absolute Dissolution
05. Haruspex
06. Vanquish In Vengeance
07. Profound Loathing
08. The Hellions Genesis
09. From Hollow Sands
10. Legion of Dis

"Vanquish In Vengeance" will also be available in a limited edition box featuring a flag and an exclusive metal pin.

Although based in Pennsylvania, INCANTATION has enjoyed a 23-year musical career as one of the leaders the New York death metal scene along with SUFFOCATION, IMMOLATION and MORTICIAN.

INCANTATION and Listenable Records' working relationship resulted in "Decimate Christendom" (2004) and "Primordial Domination" (2006) albums.
