MANDY LION Returns With New LION & MAN Single 'Red Rain'
LION & MAN, the collaboration between vocalist Mandy Lion (WORLD WAR III, WICKED ALLIANCE) and producer/guitarist Ron Mancuso (BEGGARS & THIEVES, RED DRAGON CARTEL),has released a new single, "Red Rain".
"Red Rain" is inspired by Lion's soon-to-be-released autobiographical book and graphic novel.
The video was produced and directed by Gary Orona, while the song was written by Lion and Mancuso.
"Red Rain" was produced, recorded and mixed by Mancuso at Studio77 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The track was mastered by Kane Churko.
"Red Rain" features Lion on vocals, Mancuso on guitar, Dan McNay on bass, Lez Warner on drums, Greg Fox on keyboards and Zach Throne on backing vocals.
Mandy is best known for his work with WORLD WAR III, which also included Jimmy Bain (RAINBOW, DIO),Vinny Appice (BLACK SABBATH, DIO) and Tracy G. (DIO). The band produced several videos and toured extensively, headlining and opening for such acts as IRON MAIDEN and ANTHRAX. Appice would eventually be replaced by James Kottak (SCORPIONS, KINGDOM COME) and Mikkey Dee (SCORPIONS, KING DIAMOND, MOTÖRHEAD).
Mancuso is not only a guitarist and songwriter for the band BEGGARS & THIEVES but is also COO of the Bootlegger Italian Bistro, a staple on the Las Vegas scene for many years, the owner of a recording studio, a live concert venue and a writer of jingles and music for the Fox TV network, among others. Ronnie has also toured with Jake E. Lee's RED DRAGON CARTEL and worked with former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley.
More than 20 years ago, Mancuso took the reins as CEO of the Bootlegger, moving his New York-based recording studio Studio77 next door to the restaurant.
In a 2017 interview with All Rock Music & All Music Bands: National & Worldwide, Lion was asked what it was like working with WORLD WAR III and opening up for IRON MAIDEN. He responded: "Well, just try to imagine [how] a 17-year-old fan of BLACK SABBATH and DIO must have felt like when members of his favorite bands auditioned for his band. It was almost comical to sit there pretending that I'm actually auditioning Jimmy Bain and Vinny Appice. I mean, what are we trying to find out here? What is the question? It's, like, 'Okay, so you played in the biggest bands in the world with the best musicians on the planet but let's see if you can play…' The whole thing was absurd. Of course Vinny and Jimmy got the gig. I mean, who was going to take it from them?"
He continued: "Opening for IRON MAIDEN was everything you imagine it would be, of course. Especially since we came from playing theaters to stadium size. The fans were extremely kind and the band treated us very well. I'm sure that had a lot to do with the fact that IRON MAIDEN also used to be RAINBOW and BLACK SABBATH fans. There was a certain respect that was due to the history of my bandmates, of course."

LOU GRAMM On FOREIGNER's 'I Want To Know What Love Is': 'We Were Worried' Releasing A Song Like That Would 'Damage Our Rock Reputation'
In a new interview with Chile's Radio Futuro, original FOREIGNER singer Lou Gramm talked about the band's classic power ballad "I Want To Know What Love Is", which topped the Billboard pop chart more than 40 years ago. Released as a single in November of 1984, the track steadily climbed the charts, peaking at No. 1 on February 1, 1985. It has since become one of the biggest ballads in rock history. Regarding how he and his FOREIGNER bandmates felt about releasing such a mellow song as a single, Gramm said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I remember those times pretty vividly. And we were a little worried that releasing a song like that was going to damage our rock reputation. We had another hit ballad before, 'Waiting For A Girl Like You', but we all felt that this was something different and special and it almost went beyond being a rock song. With the gospel choir in there, it kind of moved it through rock into — I don't know — gospel. It just transcended musical modes, and we were wondering if it would enhance or damage our reputation as a rock band."
According to Gramm, any trepidation he and his FOREIGNER bandmates might have had about releasing "I Want To Know What Love Is" as a single went away very quickly. He said: "As soon as we heard it on the radio and started getting comments from our family and friends, how they never heard a song like that from us, and how much they loved it, and we saw it racing up the charts, we learned it well enough to play to get ready to tour and perform it at a precise time of the set. And we went around the world just to promote the song, talking to radio stations and newspapers and rock magazines. We did a tour of the world just for press. And I remember we were in Switzerland and we had just done a heavy day of promotion, and we had a meal and we were sitting around, sipping a glass of red wine, and the operator from the hotel called and said, 'There's a call for you from Los Angeles.' And we said, 'Well, who is it?' And they said, 'It's Mr. Ahmet Ertegun [Atlantic Records founder].' And so we grabbed the phone, we said, 'Hello?' He says, 'Guys, how are you? You've created a masterpiece, and I just wanna tell you that 'I Want To Know What Love Is' is Number One around the world.' It was an incredible phone call. I mean, you couldn't have scripted it any better. And I wish someone had taped that. [Laughs]"
Less than two years ago, Gramm said that greed was the reason he wasn't listed as one of the songwriters for "I Want To Know What Love Is". The power ballad, which is credited solely to FOREIGNER's founding guitarist Mick Jones, was released in November 1984 as the lead single from the group's fifth album, "Agent Provocateur".
Gramm discussed his supposed lack of contribution to the track during an interview with Justin Young of Monsters, Madness And Magic. Speaking about his involvement with the songwriting process on "Agent Provocateur", he said: " For me, the sticking points were when we started writing songs. Nine out of 10 ideas that Mick showed me, he was playing keyboard and they were midtempo, somewhat rock songs — not heavy or anything. They were nice, they were good songs and the music was nice, but it wasn't dynamic in any stretch of the imagination the way FOREIGNER '4' was. And then, then there was 'I Want To Know What Love Is'. He played me the idea for that song and I liked it. And I was not a ballad guy, but that song was very special. And we worked on that song. He had a house about 20 minutes from my house, so I was over his house at least five out of seven nights a week having dinner and working till one or two in the morning with him on that song specifically. And we would just hit creative dead ends and walk away from it frustrated. But we kept plugging away, and we ended up getting the body of the song correct, and the chorus, lyrics and melody the way we wanted it, and we were set to go in and record it. Mick had a friend, a young black guy, who he knew from years ago, and he heard the song and told Mick that he had been working for a gospel label the past few years. And he says, 'I know what the song needs.' He says, 'It needs a gospel choir in the choruses.' And Mick kind of was taken aback and he thought about it and he goes, 'You could be right.' And his friend says, 'I have just the choir for you. It's New Jersey Mass Choir.' He says, 'They've had hits on their own in the gospel charts.' So on the day that they came down to sing the choruses, I was in one studio next door to where they were — just myself and an engineer. I was singing the lead vocal to the song, which hadn't been done yet. So Mick was consumed with the choir and making sure that that they sounded the way they should, and I was in the next studio over singing the lead vocal. Usually when I would sing the lead vocal, Mick wouldn't be more than three feet away from me offering suggestions, little criticisms and making sure it came out the way he wanted it. When I walked in there to sing that lead vocal, I didn't see him for four hours. And when I saw him, I handed him the tape and I said, 'I'm done'. And he looked at me, like, 'What do you mean you're done? I haven't even heard it yet.' He didn't say that, but then with the gospel choir there in front of the mics, he played my version with my lead vocals on it and my vocals on the chorus too. And the choir sang along with the choruses. And I got goosebumps and chills all over my body. And I looked over at Mick, and he was crying."
Elaborating on the disagreement over songwriting credits for "I Want To Know What Love Is", Gramm continued: "When we were recording that album, at the end of completion of every song, Mick and I would sit down at a table, and on a little piece of paper we would write out what we thought the split was for the song between the two of us as writers, and we'd done that from album one. So, like, 'Hot Blooded' was 50-50, 'Double Vision' was 60 for Mick, 40 for me. And other songs had different, different splits. And I wrote 60 for Mick, 40 for me, and I slid that piece of paper over to him, and he slid one over to me. So I saw him look at my piece of paper, and he didn't smile or anything; he had stone face on. And I picked up my piece of paper. You know what he had on it? 95-5 for him. We had worked on that song since it was just a little tiny idea for weeks and weeks and weeks until it became a song. I was involved in the melody, in the arrangement of the song, and plus I sang the ad-libs and I sang the hell out of the song. And his best offer was 95-5. I was insulted, I was angry and I knew right away why it was. Because he knew that song was gonna be Number One and he wanted it all for himself. But he would sacrifice five percent. I tore the piece of paper up and I says, 'Mick, I know why you're doing this.' I says, 'You want the song for yourself, so it just says 'Jones' under writers.' I says, 'You do that.' I said, 'I don't want any part of it.' So he did. The song went to Number One. The song itself sold millions — millions and millions of songs. I think it went two and a half times platinum just for the single. It was immediately re-recorded by Wynonna Judd. She re-recorded it and had a worldwide hit with it. So it was a Number One hit for three other artists. He made millions and millions of dollars off just that song. I didn't see a nickel."
FOREIGNER kicked off its spring 2025 Latin American tour on April 28 at Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico. Handling lead vocals for most of the set was FOREIGNER guitarist Luis Maldonado, while Gramm joined in for the last four songs.
Prior to the Mexico City concert, Gramm most recently joined FOREIGNER's current lineup on stage at the end of the band's March 15 concert at the BayCare Sound in Clearwater, Florida to perform two of the legendary rock group's classic songs, "I Want To Know What Love Is" and "Hot Blooded".
Gramm previously said he planned to retire at the end of 2024, but later revealed that he was in talks to make appearances at "select" tour dates with FOREIGNER's current lineup in 2025. Bassist Rick Wills and drummer Dennis Elliott are also expected to appear at some shows, including FOREIGNER's upcoming Las Vegas residency.
Gramm was the voice on FOREIGNER's biggest hits, including "Feels Like The First Time" and "Cold As Ice" from the band's eponymous debut in 1977, and later songs like "Hot Blooded" and "I Want to Know What Love Is".
The 74-year-old Gramm left FOREIGNER for good in 2002 and has battled health issues in recent years, including the removal of a non-cancerous tumor. He told the Democrat & Chronicle in 2018 that he was planning to retire, but still reunited with FOREIGNER for several shows that year.
FOREIGNER replaced Gramm with Kelly Hansen in 2005. Jones, the only remaining original member of FOREIGNER, suffered from some health issues beginning in 2011, eventually resulting in heart surgery in 2012. In February 2024, Jones revealed on social media that he was battling Parkinson's disease, which explained his absence from FOREIGNER's live shows since 2022.

I PREVAIL Releases New Single 'Violent Nature'
Michigan rockers I PREVAIL have released a new single, "Violent Nature", via Fearless Records. The track arrives alongside a new music video directed by Orie McGinness.
I PREVAIL vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe describes "Violent Nature" as "aggressive, fast, and heavy. All packed into two minutes and 10 seconds. Turn it up and put your head through the fucking wall."
Earlier this month, I PREVAIL parted ways with vocalist Brian Burkheiser.
Burkheiser had handled the clean vocals in I PREVAIL since the band's formation but was forced to step away from the group's touring activities due to his battle with Eagle's syndrome, a condition associated with the elongation of the styloid process or calcification of the stylohyoid ligament, clinically characterized by throat and neck pain, radiating into the ear. In Burkheiser's absence, co-vocalist/growler Vanlerberghe had handled the bulk of the singing in I PREVAIL, with the help of guitarist Dylan Bowman.
I PREVAIL released its latest album, "True Power", in 2022 via Fearless Records. It was followed by a sold out, two-leg tour across the U.S. and Canada.
Last October, I PREVAIL released an expanded edition of "True Power", featuring one new song and three reimagined tracks. The updated version included the new single "Hate This Song", the band's collaborative track with ALL TIME LOW, along with reimagined versions of the album singles "Bad Things", "There's Fear In Letting Go" and "Deep End".
Rising to an arena level and receiving two Grammy nominations — "Best Rock Album" for "Trauma", and "Best Metal Performance" for "Bow Down" — I PREVAIL saw its "Hurricane" single top Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 2020, officially the top song on U.S. rock radio at the time. A number of their singles have since been certified gold and platinum, and they have been praised by press far and wide, including Forbes, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter and NPR.
I PREVAIL is:
Eric Vanlerberghe - Vocals
Steven Menoian - Guitar
Gabe Helguera - Drums
Dylan Bowman - Guitar
Jon Eberhard - Bass | +2 | |

ALICE COOPER On Still Touring At Age 77: 'I Never Get Tired Of Doing It'
In a new interview with Marianne Sierk of Baltimore's 98 Rock radio station, legendary rocker Alice Cooper was asked where he gets the energy — at the age of 77 – to still tour as much as he does. The singer, whose real name is Vincent Furnier, responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "I never get tired of doing it. I never get tired of playing Alice. I mean, I've been doing it for 60 years. And the character I play on stage… There were two Alices. There was the original Alice, who was sort of the whipping boy. He was society's problem. And when I got sober, I said, 'I can't play that character anymore. So now I'm gonna play Alice as an arrogant villain. He's going to be this really arrogant villain.'
"I never get tired of playing it," Alice repeated. "You'd think I'd get tired of doing '[I'm] Eighteen' and 'Under My Wheels' and all that. It's so much fun. And you surround yourself with the best players. And it just so happens that the best players [in my current band] are all best friends. No egos. Nobody complaining. I mean, [guitarist] Nita [Strauss] is just like an angel. She can't wait to get on stage. She's been with us 10 years. And she has her own band. And she played with [pop superstar] Demi Lovato for a year. So, we just had different guitar players. I told her, 'Go do it. Our show's always gonna be here. And it's an open door. You can always come back in.'"
Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors. He continues to tour regularly, performing shows worldwide with the dark and horror-themed theatrics that he's best known for.
In an interview with the 96.1 KLPX radio station, Cooper stated about how his stage show has evolved over the years: "It's so funny because it used to be easy to shock an audience in the '70s. Now nobody's really trying — we're not really trying to shock an audience. I don't think anybody is 'shock rock' anymore, but those elements still remain in the show because they're fun to watch. It's still fun to watch the guillotine and the fact that you really buy in to it because of what happens before that. You're really concerned about this character Alice up there, what happens. And that's what I like about it. I want the audience to get involved in the show. We don't do a lot of lasers. We don't do things like that, because I want the emphasis to be on the character Alice, what happens to him and what he what exactly he's doing. But all that happens during all these songs that everybody knows — 'Feed My Frankenstein' and 'Poison' and 'No More Mr. Nice Guy' and, of course, 'School's Out' at the end."
Fresh from the success of his latest album "Road", a concept album about the thrills and spills of touring, Alice is accompanied, as always, by his long-running live band of Ryan Roxie (guitar),Chuck Garric (bass),Tommy Henriksen (guitar),Glen Sobel (drums) and Nita Strauss (guitar).
With a schedule that has included six months year in and year out on the road, Cooper brings his own brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new, enjoying it as much as the audience does. Known as the architect of shock-rock, Cooper (in both the original ALICE COOPER band and as a solo artist) has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie, even in an era where CNN can present real-life shocking images.
With his influence on rock and roll and popular culture long since acknowledged, there is little that Cooper hasn't achieved in his remarkable career, including platinum albums, sold-out tours and any number of honors and career achievement awards.
The surviving members of the original ALICE COOPER band — Alice, guitarist Michael Bruce, bassist Dennis Dunaway and drummer Neal Smith — recently reunited to release a brand-new studio album, "The Revenge Of Alice Cooper", due on July 25 via earMUSIC. This highly anticipated LP is heralded as the successor to their iconic records "School's Out", "Billion Dollar Babies", "Love It to Death" and "Killer". | +1

Former MUSHROOMHEAD Vocalist WAYLON REAVIS's A KILLER'S CONFESSION Releases 'Hollow' Single
A KILLER'S CONFESSION, the band led by former MUSHROOMHEAD vocalist Waylon Reavis, has shared a new single and video, "Hollow". It is the follow-up to "In Case Of Emergency" which came out in March and featured Waylon's former MUSHROOMHEAD bandmate Jason "JMann" Popson.
Waylon says: "'Hollow' is the next chapter in a dark, psychological journey. Picking up where Victim 1 left off, we meet Victim 2 and the lines between right and wrong blur."
He adds: "As our protagonist descends deeper into his own judgment, there's no turning back. 'Hollow' asks: can we be saved once we become empty? Pulling us into the gray area between salvation and self-destruction."
A KILLER'S CONFESSION will hit the road to run from May 23 to June 18 as part of the "Machines Vs Monsters" tour, which is being headlined by STATIC-X, with GWAR and DOPE rounding out the bill.
A KILLER'S CONFESSION's latest album, "Victim 1", came out in September 2024 via MNRK Heavy.
After releasing three seminal albums as a member of MUSHROOMHEAD, Reavis retreated from music, only for it to draw him back in 2016. He resurfaced at the helm of A KILLER'S CONFESSION, delivering three cult favorite albums — "Unbroken" (2017),"The Indifference Of Good Men" (2019) and "Remember" (2021). Along the way, the band tallied tens of millions of streams in addition to collaborating with everyone from Brian "Head" Welch of KORN and LOVE AND DEATH to Chad Gray of MUDVAYNE and HELLYEAH. Joined by bassist JP Cross, guitarist James Skritch, and drummer Kegan King, they also captivated crowds on tour.
During 2022, Reavis experienced an epiphany. "I had never thought about following a concept like this before," he said. "However, I decided to focus, live up to the name, and be A KILLER'S CONFESSION." He hit the studio with collaborators and producers Dusty Boles (MAKE ME FAMOUS) and Evan Mckeever (NINE SHRINES). Shocking this vision to life, he emerged with the 10-track equivalent of "falling down a YouTube rabbit hole of unsolved mysteries." | 0

GRAND CADAVER Feat. Current/Former Members Of DARK TRANQUILLITY And KATATONIA: New EP 'The Rot Beneath' Announced
Swedish old-school death metal unit GRAND CADAVER, featuring current and former members of DARK TRANQUILLITY, THE HALO EFFECT, TIAMAT, NOVARUPTA and KATATONIA, returns with its most explosive material yet: the new EP "The Rot Beneath", set to be released on August 15 via Majestic Mountain Records. The EP will be available on vinyl, alongside a limited reissue of their acclaimed 2021 debut full-length, "Into The Maw Of Death". Pre-orders will be announced soon.
GRAND CADAVER has shared the crushing title track via Invisible Oranges who had this to say: "The streamlined, razorblade-encrusted style of death metal on 'The Rot Beneath' relies on the ear for melody GRAND CADAVER's core members have honed for four decades… GRAND CADAVER aren't masquerading that's the case."
The band comments: "When you look at the state of the world today, it's difficult not to feel despair. We see madness, death, war, corruption and polarization. And it makes you think — what are we if not the cause of the problem? What are we but the rot beneath? This is the anthem to mankind's demise."
Featuring some of Sweden's most seasoned metal musicians, namely Mikael Stanne (DARK TRANQUILLITY, THE HALO EFFECT),Stefan Lagergren (ex-TREBLINKA/TIAMAT),Alex Stjernfeldt (NOVARUPTA, CHILD),Christian Jansson (PAGANDOM, DARK TRANQUILLITY) and Daniel Liljekvist (ex-KATATONIA, DISRUPTED),GRAND CADAVER has carved a reputation for delivering death metal with no gimmicks, no polish, just raw power.
From their debut EP "Madness Comes" (recorded in just three days and charting at No. 9 in Sweden),to their crushing LP "Into The Maw Of Death", and their doom-laced 2023 follow-up "Deities Of Deathlike Sleep", GRAND CADAVER has continuously pushed their sound into darker and heavier territory.

See BLACK SABBATH Legend TONY IOMMI In British Pop Star ROBBIE WILLIAMS's 'Rocket' Music Video
BLACK SABBATH's Tony Iommi is a featured guest on "Rocket", the first single from British pop star Robbie Williams's upcoming album "Britpop". The high-octane rock track features an instantly anthemic chorus, pounding drums and a signature guitar solo from the heavy metal pioneer. The accompanying music video for the song, which was written by Robbie, Karl Brazil, Tony Iommi and Tom Longworth, can be seen below. In the video, Robbie can be seen wearing a punk-inspired outfit — red tartan trousers, heavy chain necklace and a leather biker jacket covered in graffiti — while he moves around several London landmarks accompanied by a flash mob, while other scenes were shot with Robbie and Iommi together in the latter's hometown, Birmingham.
The "Britpop" cover artwork is a nod to the album title featuring a painting of one of Robbie's most iconic looks — his red tracksuit outfit that he wore to attend Glastonbury Festival in 1995 at the height of the Britpop era.
"Britpop" will be released this fall via Columbia Records in a variety of formats, including CD, deluxe CD, cassette, alt cassette and digitally, while signed bundles will also be available for a limited time via the official Robbie Williams store.
On "Britpop", Robbie says: "I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left TAKE THAT in 1995. It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British music. I've worked with some of my heroes on this album; it's raw, there are more guitars and it's an album that's even more upbeat and anthemic than usual. There's some 'Brit' in there and there's certainly some 'pop' too. I'm immensely proud of this as a body of work and I'm excited for fans to hear this album. I also can't wait to perform a song or two from it on my upcoming 'Britpop' tour, which I'm opening in the U.K., naturally."
Robbie's "Britpop" stadium tour will see the global icon perform in cities across the U.K., Ireland and rest of Europe this summer — the first opportunity for fans to hear the new song "Rocket" played live. The tour, originally titled "Robbie Williams Live 2025" and now renamed "Britpop", will open next week in Edinburgh on May 31, before visiting London, Manchester and Bath. The tour then continues across continental Europe, with dates in countries including Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Sweden.
Williams previously teased "Rocket" during an interview with NME while promoting his biopic "Better Man".
"This [song] is massive guitars, as you can imagine," he said. "It's adrenaline-filled and balls to the wall."
Iommi, along with the rest of the original lineup of BLACK SABBATH — singer Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward — will play its final concert this summer. Dubbed "Back To The Beginning", the charity show will be held at Villa Park in Birmingham, United Kingdom on July 5. Support at the gig will come from METALLICA, SLAYER, PANTERA and many more.
Last July, Iommi released a new song called "Deified" in conjunction with his new fragrance, Tony Iommi Deified, from luxury perfume company Xerjoff.
In February 2017, SABBATH finished "The End" tour in Birmingham, closing out the quartet's groundbreaking 49-year career.
"The End" was SABBATH's last tour because Iommi — who was diagnosed with lymphoma in late 2011 — can no longer travel for extended amounts of time.
Iommi revealed his cancer diagnosis in early 2012, shortly after SABBATH announced a reunion tour and album. He underwent treatment throughout the recording of the disc, titled "13", and the subsequent tour to promote it.
The BLACK SABBATH guitarist successfully underwent an operation in January 2017 to remove a noncancerous lump from his throat.
"13" was the first album in 35 years to feature Iommi, Osbourne and Butler all playing together.

THIN LIZZY Guitarist SCOTT GORHAM Opens Up About Recent Health Scare: 'The Surgeon Said I Actually Died On The Operating Table'
For the latest episode of the Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz, host Darren Paltrowitz spoke with legendary THIN LIZZY and BLACK STAR RIDERS guitarist Scott Gorham, as recorded via Zoom in May 2025. This in-depth conversation covers Scott's recent health scare, his thriving second career as an artist, future music plans, and even the correct pronunciation of "THIN LIZZY" — straight from the source. Scott also opened up about his influences, his connection to Huey Lewis, and his thoughts on other bands embracing the iconic "twin guitar" sound THIN LIZZY pioneered.
Asked if fans can expect to see him back on the road in the not-too-distant future, the 74-year-old Gorham — who recently launched his second art collection — said: "It's possible right now. I had a health issue scare about a year ago with a kidney that had to be removed and I got sepsis from it. And the second surgeon said I actually died on the operating table and all that. And I was, like, 'Really, man? What the hell is all that about?' And now I had a third operation, and he said, 'Maybe you should take some time out and just kind of rehabilitate and all that, get your strength back and all that.' So that's what I'm doing. And in the meantime, I've got the drawing to keep me occupied. So hopefully soon-ish down the road, I can get my buns back out on the road."
After Paltrowitz noted that it sounds like Gorham is "creatively fulfilled, even if it's not with guitar," Scott said: "Yeah. You've gotta remember, playing guitar in bands, I've been doing this for 50 years now, so sitting at Heathrow airport waiting for the next flight isn't really a new thing for me anymore. But the drawing, to do this constantly right now, that kind of is the new thing for me. It's something that I thought I'd never really do as a constant thing. So I'm kind of enjoying this kind of break from the music right now and going into this little bit of a different direction. I mean, it's still entertainment, but it's just a another side. So I'm really kind of enjoying that."
In 1974, the Californian musician moved to the United Kingdom and joined Irish rockers THIN LIZZY. Scott would perform on ten best-selling albums, including "Jailbreak", "Johnny The Fox", "Bad Reputation" and "Live And Dangerous", and on the hit singles "The Boys Are Back In Town", "Rosalie", "Dancing In The Moonlight (It's Caught Me In Its Spotlight)" and "Waiting On An Alibi".
In April 2024, Gorham unveiled six new works of art, with limited-edition prints available to purchase through the artist's web site. The Scott Gorham World site showcases illustrative works from an archive the now-74-year-old guitarist started creating under the radar as an artist nearly 40 years ago.
Gorham was in BLACK STAR RIDERS for nearly a decade, having formed the band in 2013 with other THIN LIZZY members after deciding to write and record new music under a new moniker. BLACK STAR RIDERS' original lineup was completed by vocalist Ricky Warwick, guitarist Damon Johnson, bassist Marco Mendoza and drummer Jimmy DeGrasso.
BLACK STAR RIDERS announced Gorham's departure in September 2021, with Warwick saying in a statement: "We are very sad to see Scott go, but we discussed a very heavy world touring commitment on the new record and Scott decided he wanted to concentrate just on THIN LIZZY — and being the legend he is, none of us can blame him."

Ex-RAINBOW Singer RONNIE ROMERO Never Wanted To Copy RONNIE JAMES DIO: I Tried 'Putting My Own Stamp' On The Songs
In a new interview with author/journalist Joel Gausten, former RAINBOW singer Ronnie Romero was asked about the challenges of putting his own stamp on performing material that was originally sung by legendary singers Ronnie James Dio, Joe Lynn Turner, Graham Bonnet, Ian Gillan and David Coverdale while also honoring the songs as they were written and recorded. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Yeah, that's exactly the challenge. And that was exactly the challenge, because I will never even attempt to try to get to that level. We are talking about singers, and especially Ronnie [James Dio], who I would say he created that kind of sound for, and that kind of path for, rock singers and heavy metal singers. So, he is probably the godfather of singers in terms of interpretation and that kind of voice and that kind of aggressiveness on the way he was singing. Also with Joe, with Graham, with Gillan, because we were doing DEEP PURPLE songs also with [David] Coverdale, all those guys.
"I don't think the people, [I don't think] they [would] love to see a carbon copy of a guy just trying to do a copy of the original singers," Romero, who is originally from Chile but is now settled in Romania after living in Madrid, Spain for a number of years, explained. "So for me it was always like a little space, a little gap in between of, I would try to go as close as possible to the original, respecting the original singer, but also I need[ed] to put my own interpretation and my own performance. The people, they don't wanna see a copy, but also they don't wanna hear something so different, because especially the RAINBOW songs with Dio, they are so deep in the head of the people that if you go too separate, they just don't like it. So for me, there was a little gap in between where I can go close to the original, but also putting my own stamp and not sounding weird for anybody. So there is a lot of people to please in a little space. [Laughs] So it was a challenge, but it was fun — at the end, it was fun, because, obviously, Ritchie [Blackmore, RAINBOW guitarist and founder] gave me all the confidence to do it in my own way. And I tried to do my best paying tribute to all those singers."
Romero made his live debut with RAINBOW in June 2016 after he was selected to front the latest version of the band Blackmore had formed after quitting DEEP PURPLE.
Romero told Metal Shock Finland about his performances with RAINBOW: "I feel really good with my job, because I tried to make justice, not just to the songs, but all these singers — Ronnie James Dio, Joe Lynn Turner, Graham Bonnet, Ian Gillan and David Coverdale. I just tried to sing the songs in my own way and my own style, and I think the people appreciate that. I'm not just a copy of the other singers. I prefer to sing like Ronnie Romero singing these songs of Ronnie James Dio and David Coverdale and whatever. And I think the people prefer that, and they really appreciate the situation, because I think the people don't like to see a guy or pay for a ticket to see a guy try to sing like Ronnie James Dio. It's not a good idea. So I feel really good with my job and I know the people and the fans that have sent me messages and told me that they really appreciated [how I interpreted the songs]."
In addition to RAINBOW, Romero has recorded and/or toured with MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, LORDS OF BLACK, THE FERRYMEN, ELEGANT WEAPONS, SUNSTORM and VANDENBERG.
Eight years ago, Romero told Stargazed about how he first discovered hard rock: "I grew up in a family of musicians, so it was very easy to me to go into that. My father was a huge hard rock fan, and, of course, the first band that he show me was DEEP PURPLE, and they just blew me away. I mean, there are so many other bands that I love, like JOURNEY, DREAM THEATER, MASTERPLAN, KANSAS, QUEEN, but there is a special connection between DEEP PURPLE, my father (RIP) and me."

GUS G. On BLACK SABBATH's Final Concert: 'It's The Biggest Heavy Metal Festival Ever Put Together'
In a new interview with Seb Di Gatto of The Metal Gods Meltdown, Greek guitar virtuoso Gus G., who served as Ozzy Osbourne's lead guitarist from 2009 to 2017, was asked about the upcoming "Back To The Beginning" charity event, which will take place on July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The concert will mark the original lineup of BLACK SABBATH's last-ever performance and Ozzy's final appearance as a solo artist. Gus said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Well, it's without a doubt the biggest heavy metal show, heavy metal festival ever put together, isn't it? [Laughs] I guess the only other big band that was missing from the bill is IRON MAIDEN, because all everybody else is there. Yeah, what a lineup. It's a nice way for the guys to say goodbye, I guess. And it's great that all four of the old SABBATH guys are gonna go up there, even if they play a couple of songs. Everybody knows that — they don't expect a full set from [SABBATH] by now, but even if they go out there and play 'Paranoid' or 'Iron Man', that's enough just to say [they played] one last time. So, yeah, I wish I could have been there, but I have a gig that day in Sweden."
"Back To The Beginning" sold out in less than 10 minutes in February. The concert will mark the first time that the original lineup of BLACK SABBATH — Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward — have played together in 20 years.
Also set to appear at the event are METALLICA, GUNS N' ROSES, TOOL, SLAYER, PANTERA, GOJIRA, ALICE IN CHAINS, HALESTORM, LAMB OF GOD, ANTHRAX and MASTODON.
In addition, there will be a performance by a "supergroup of musicians" including Duff McKagan and Slash (GUNS 'N' ROSES),Billy Corgan (THE SMASHING PUMPKINS),Fred Durst (LIMP BIZKIT),K.K. Downing (JUDAS PRIEST),Jake E. Lee (OZZY OSBOURNE),Wolfgang Van Halen (VAN HALEN, MAMMOTH WVH),Andrew Watt, Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS),David Ellefson (MEGADETH),Vernon Reid (LIVING COLOUR),Whitfield Crane (UGLY KID JOE),David Draiman (DISTURBED),Frank Bello (ANTHRAX),Jonathan Davis (KORN),Lzzy Hale (HALESTORM),Mike Bordin (FAITH NO MORE),Rudy Sarzo (OZZY OSBOURNE, QUIET RIOT),Sammy Hagar, Scott Ian (ANTHRAX),Sleep Token II (SLEEP TOKEN) and Papa V Perpetua (GHOST).
Back in October 2022, Gus was asked in an interview with Czech Republic's Backstage TV how he looks back on his time with Ozzy. He said: "It was really good times. It was a really highlight of my career, obviously, playing at such a big level and, of course, to play with one of the fathers of this music, heavy metal. So, just to be a part of that legacy is incredible; it's mindblowing. I still cannot believe it happened. I learned a lot.
"I'm not a guy who thinks so much about the past," Gus explained. "I think I have evolved since then; I have become a better musician, better person, better performer. That was a big stepping stone for me. I look at those days with a lot of joy, and I have nice memories, nice feelings about Ozzy and Sharon [Ozzy's wife and manager] and the [rest of the] Osbournes; they treated me very nice. And it was some of the best years of my life with them; I got to see and experience things that not many musicians do, so I was lucky in that sense. But I'm doing my thing now and I've had my own thing for a long time. And I'm happy where I'm at in life right now."
In late 2021, Gus was asked by Guitar World how he found out he was no longer in Ozzy's group. "Sharon called me at home," he said. "I was kind of expecting it. They had announced a festival, and I was waiting to hear back what was going to happen. And then eventually, she gave me a call. I think it was in the middle of the night, because we have such a time zone difference. She called me in Greece, and said, 'I just wanted to let you know personally, so you don't find out online, we're going to do the farewell tour, and Zakk [Wylde] is coming back for that.' And I was, like, 'No worries at all. No problem.' And I thanked her for everything they had done for me. We're still on good terms, so, no problem at all."
Asked if he would ever consider working with Ozzy again, Gus said: "I think that's more of a question that you have to ask him. [Laughs] It's pretty obvious, I wouldn't say no if he called me up and wanted to play a show or for an album. I loved my time with him, and of course I would do it again. I think it's more of a question for him — because he gets to pick and choose who he works with. I don't think there is a guitar player on earth that would turn that down…or maybe there would be, I don't know. [Laughs]"
Back in 2018, Gus told TrueMetal.it that "it was a little bit of a relief" to find out that Ozzy was getting back together with his longtime axeman Zakk Wylde. "I was just kind of tired of waiting around for all these years, not hearing anything about potential tours or recording activities," Gus said. "Of course, [Ozzy] was very busy with BLACK SABBATH — I understand that — but then in between of all that, there would be all these one-off [solo Ozzy] shows popping up and I had to make myself available for that. But there was never any… I felt like there was no… I didn't see stuff coming up for the future, you know? So, as much as I loved being in that band and working with him, in a way, it was a little bit of a dead end for me, speaking personally. Of course, now he's gonna go on a big tour again and do his farewell thing, and that's great for him, but it was not a creative thing for me."
It was announced in April 2017 that Wylde would be rejoining Ozzy's backing group for all his upcoming solo show dates. Osbourne's most recent touring lineup also included Rob "Blasko" Nicholson on bass, Tommy Clufetos on drums and Adam Wakeman on keyboards.
Gus, who played on Ozzy's latest studio album, 2010's "Scream", told TrueMetal.it that part of his frustration stemmed from the fact that he wasn't told far in advance when his services would be needed by Ozzy, making it difficult for the guitarist to make long-term plans with any of his other projects. "There was never any definite announcement, like, 'Hey, guys, we're gonna see you next year' or something; it was always, like, 'We'll see what happens,'" he said. "So that's a bit of an uncertainty right there, and, of course, I had my own band [and] I had stuff to do, but I could never really book stuff too far ahead into the future just in case something [with Ozzy] came up. So it was really hard to get some info at some points… Anyways, you know, that's how it is; that was the situation. So, yeah, in a way, like I said, it was a relief, because now I can totally control what I'm gonna be doing, and that's a much nicer feeling."
Wylde originally joined Osbourne's band more than three and a half decades ago and backed the legendary frontman from 1987 to 1995, then again in 1998, from 2001 to 2004 and also from 2006 to 2009.
Gus released his latest solo album, "Quantum Leap", in October 2021 via AFM Records.

Watch: JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING Celebrates 50th Anniversary Of 'Physical Graffiti' In Houston
DeadMike.com has uploaded video of JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING's (a.k.a. JBLZE) May 20 concert at Bayou Music Center in Houston, Texas. Check out the clips in the YouTube playlist below. (Note: After each song, the YouTube player automatically jumps to the next song in the playlist.)
JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING's latest tour is a first for JBLZE as it is focusing on the 50th anniversary of the LED ZEPPELIN classic "Physical Graffiti". The 21-city trek is billed as "An Evening With JBLZE Celebrating 50 Years Of Physical Graffiti".
JBLZE has never done a tour that was centered around a specific LED ZEPPELIN album before as Bonham live celebrates all things about his father, drumming legend John Bonham. The show features all the selections from "Physical Graffiti" performed alongside numerous other LED ZEPPELIN classics. The tour kicked off on May 3 in Wallingford, Connecticut and runs across the country before wrapping on May 31 in Los Angeles, California. Along the way, the tour will make stops in Phoenix, Arizona (May 23) and San Diego, California (May 28),to name a few markets.
Jason said: "This is my favorite LED ZEPPELIN album of all time. Being able to celebrate it the way we are planning on this tour is something I am extremely excited about. I can't wait for people to come out and see these shows and celebrate this extraordinary record with us. My goal is to play at least 50 shows to commemorate 50 years…And don't worry there will be plenty of other songs that you also love played that night."
In a December 2024 interview Terrie Carr of WDHA-FM 105.5 FM, the rock music station licensed to Dover and Morristown, New Jersey, Jason Bonham spoke about what it was like to perform in front of full houses with his LED ZEPPELIN EVENING show across North America last fall. He said: "I always find it's a pinch-yourself moment because I look at it as I started this purely as a therapeutic way to get the LED out of me. After playing with the real McCoy, the real deal, in [December] 2007 [at London's O2 arena], I remember when it stopped, it was a huge, 'Now what?' … Because I just spent six weeks with the [surviving LED ZEPPELIN] guys every day [in preparation for the London show]. Every day we were together, hanging out, telling stories. They would tell me things that I didn't know — now I'm a grown-up — they would tell me all these different things. So, suddenly you feel part of it. And my mom said, 'Are you gonna be okay when it stops?' I'm, like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've got this.' Because you've been given the keys to the kingdom, and you sat in the throne of the greatest rock and roll band in the world. So when it stopped, it was hard, I must say. And then when the idea came, 'Why don't you do a band, a tribute thing", I'm, like, 'Are you kidding me? I've just played with [the original guys]. I don't wanna tarnish that.' So it became more therapeutic. And I realized it's about the fans. The reason why we're still doing it, after I got over the my stories and me — 'it's about me and my dad' — it's not. It's about our love for dad, me and everyone, because we all have stories of what he meant to us. I lost my dad; you lost your drummer. So that's the only reason — the love and the passion that we do it and still do it. Because there's a lot of other things that I like to do."
Jason Bonham spent nearly a decade touring as JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE before changing the band's name to JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING. Bonham later explained that the switch was prompted by a request from the LED ZEPPELIN camp, who wanted to use the "Experience" name for a project involving the archive of ZEP live recordings.
JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE was formed in 2009 to pay tribute to Bonham's father, who died in 1980 at the age of 32. "It was meant to be part of my way of expressing my love for music and expressing myself with a tip of the hat to my father," Jason told Mixdown in a 2017 interview. "Soon after doing the 28 shows that we did with an orchestra, everyone said, 'You're not going to stop now, are you? You haven't been here, you haven't played there…' And so I said, 'As long as you guys want me to do it, I'll do it.' It's really fan-based. It's not us and them; it's about love for LED ZEPPELIN, and that's how it's grown, as a very honest, natural, fan-based show. You guys all knew him as Bonzo; I knew him as dad, and there's a great interaction."
Jason launched JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE two years after taking part in LED ZEPPELIN's aforementioned one-off performance at London's O2 Arena tribute concert for friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. The rare live set, which saw Jason behind the drums in place of his late father, was released in 2012 as "Celebration Day".
He told the Chicago Tribune about JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING: "We're not LED ZEPPELIN. We are fans. We love the music. We give it 150 percent energy and time to make it as good as we can make it to give people that feeling and make people go back to their youth.
"I never wanted it to be we are just playing music. It had to be personal with stories to tell people what Dad was like at home. It's nice to know that so many people love hearing that music played in a live environment."
The performance includes LED ZEPPELIN favorites as well as deep cuts. For this year's tour, JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING has worked up a number of fresh inclusions on the setlist, such as "Friends", "Achilles Last Stand" and the arrangement of "Dazed And Confused" from "The Song Remains The Same" concert movie.
"The hardest thing is picking the songs," Bonham told the Chicago Tribune. " "There's more deeper songs — 'In The Light', 'Friends', 'Four Sticks' — songs that never got played live and never made it to a ZEPPELIN show. The list could go on for the more obscure ones that fans like to hear. Of course we still do 'Kashmir', 'Stairway To Heaven' and 'What Is And What Should Never Be'. We started doing 'Dancing Days', 'Houses Of The Holy' and 'That's The Way'. This show is one of the most fun things to do because I get to play all this great music in front of people that really appreciate it." | +1

ONSLAUGHT's NIGE ROCKETT On His Cancer Battle: 'Everything's Clear Now'
In a new interview with George Dionne of KNAC.COM, ONSLAUGHT founding member and guitarist Nige Rockett discussed his recovery after a three-year absence from the road following a long battle with illness. His first appearance back was on the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise in January as ONSLAUGHT kicked off a year of 40th-anniversary shows celebrating the release of the veteran British thrash metal group's debut album, "Power From Hell".
Rockett endured a number of cancer removal operations, chemotherapy as well as two spinal operations — upper and lower spine — during his forced hiatus, with both conditions now thankfully in full remission/recovery and continuing to heal.
Asked if he is now "officially in remission" from cancer, Nige said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "Yeah. I believe so. I had my last hospital appointment not too long ago, six weeks ago. And I think they're happy that everything's clear now. So that's a weight off my shoulders. I mean, the biggest issue I had, really, was the two spine operations. That was more of a concern, because I had a compressed nerve in my fifth and sixth vertebrae there, and I lost the use of my arms for about a year. So I had surgery for that. They put a metal cage into my neck, so that the nerve couldn't be compressed. And they said you could get anything from maybe five to 30 percent usage back in your arms. So I think I've got a lot more than that at the moment, but there's still work to go on that. I lost a lot of muscle mass on my arms and my chest and shoulders and stuff. But I think I'm up to, I reckon, 70 percent, 75 percent. I mean, [ONSLAUGHT's show this past] Saturday night in Glasgow, in Scotland, was my best I felt on stage. The speed is coming back slowly. I mean, the 'Power From Hell' stuff's not so much of a challenge, but 'The Force' tracks are really kind of tough, and some of the newer stuff as well is pretty relentless. So I need to get that stamina and muscle memory back in. But I was really happy on Saturday, how it went. I was playing some of the faster stuff kind of well, so I think we're getting there slowly."
Asked if the neck injury was due to all the years of banging his head on stage, Nige said: "Yeah. That's what the surgeon said [was] probably the most likely cause. I don't really do anything else that could kind of wear your neck that much. So I guess it's kind of similar to what Tom Araya [SLAYER] had. But the problem is I'm on stage and my head wants to bang. [Laughs] You've gotta hold it back. It's, like, 'No.' It doesn't feel right not doing it. It's still pretty stiff, my neck, but the pain's gone away now, and I'm not getting the loss of use of my arm. So it is all good in that respect."
ONSLAUGHT will release a two-disc career-inspiring album titled "Origins Of Aggression" on May 23, 2025 through the band's new label home, Reigning Phoenix Music. Disc one features a fine selection of ten re-recorded tracks from ONSLAUGHT's early days (1982-1989),while disc two presents a colorful bouquet of cover versions of punk and metal songs that lead fans through the range of bands — from the DEAD KENNEDYS, THE EXPLOITED and DISCHARGE to JUDAS PRIEST, BLACK SABBATH and beyond — defining the group's sound. Also to be found on the second part of the album will be ONSLAUGHT's adaption of "Iron Fist", originally written and performed by MOTÖRHEAD, which was the first single off the forthcoming effort.
"Origins Of Aggression" track listing:
Disc 1
01. Thermonuclear Devastation Of The
02. Black Horse Of Famine
03. Angels Of Death
04. Power From Hell
05. Metal Forces
06. Let There Be Death
07. Fight With The Beast
08. Thrash Till The Death
09. In Search Of Sanity
10. Shellshock
Disc 2
01. Iron Fist [by MOTÖRHEAD]
02. Holiday In Cambodia [by DEAD KENNEDYS]
03. A Look At Tomorrow [by DISCHARGE]
04. U.K. 82 [by THE EXPLOITED]
05. Freewheel Burning [by JUDAS PRIEST]
06. Wardance [by KILLING JOKE]
07. Give Me Fire [by GBH]

09. Holidays In The Sun [by SEX PISTOLS]
10. Emotional Blackmail [by UK SUBS]
11. War Pigs [by BLACK SABBATH]
12. Drunk With Power [by DISCHARGE]
ONSLAUGHT's contribution to the thrash metal genre cannot be overstated: from their debut album "Power From Hell" (1985),which is being honored with this new release, to their celebrated performances across the globe, they remain an untouchable force in the world of heavy metal. With over 40 years of history, the quintet has steadily continued to evolve, delivering relentless riffs and neck-breaking anthems, and cementing their place as pioneers of the British thrash scene.
The metal world can additionally look forward to ONSLAUGHT's 2025 world tour, where the band will promote "Origins Of Aggression" and celebrate the 40th "Power From Hell" anniversary — including stops in Europe, the USA, Mexico, and Australia — and expect more exciting news in the near future.
ONSLAUGHT's latest album, "Generation Antichrist", came out in August 2020 via AFM Records. It was the first ONSLAUGHT LP to feature new vocalist Dave Garnett, who replaced longtime singer Sy Keeler.
Garnett made his live debut with ONSLAUGHT at the House Of Metal festival in Umeå, Sweden in February 2020.
ONSLAUGHT announced Keeler's departure in April 2020, explaining in a statement that "some things simply aren't sustainable year after year due to the nature of the modern-day music industry."
ONSLAUGHT is one of the most ferocious, explosive and controversial metal bands ever to come out of the U.K. The group released three now-legendary albums in the 1980s — "Power From Hell", "The Force" and "In Search of Sanity" — and became a major influence for many metal generations to follow.
Since reforming in 2005, ONSLAUGHT has performed countless shows in no less than 70 different countries across the globe, earning themselves the reputation as one of the very best live acts in the metal scene today. ONSLAUGHT also has the enviable kudos of being the first international thrash band to perform in Vietnam and Lebanon.
Five critically acclaimed albums were released between 2007 and 2015 — "Killing Peace", "Live Damnation", "Sounds Of Violence", "VI" and "Live At The Slaughterhouse" — with millions of streams between them.
Produced by Grammy Award-winning engineer Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, IN FLAMES, BEHEMOTH),"Generation Antichrist" gathered huge international acclaim, with many renowned rock and metal pundits declaring it the album of the year.

Former THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA Drummer DANIEL WILLIAMS Killed In Plane Crash
Former THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA drummer Daniel Williams and talent agent and Sound Talent Group (STG) owner agent Dave Shapiro were among those killed in a fiery plane crash in San Diego, California in the early morning on Thursday (May 22).
A spokesperson for Sound Talent Group told Billboard in a statement: "We are devastated by the loss of our co-founder, colleagues and friends. Our hearts go out to their families and to everyone impacted by today's tragedy. Thank you so much for respecting their privacy at this time."
Williams filmed himself boarding the Cessna 550 at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey late Wednesday night. The 39-year-old musician also shared pictures of him at the controls of the small aircraft, apparently joking that he was the "co-pilot now".
Earlier today, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA shared several photos of Williams on social media and included the following message: "No words. We owe you everything. Love you forever."
The small Cessna 550 plane reportedly struck more than a dozen homes and vehicles around 3:47 a.m. in a military housing neighborhood, prompting evacuations in the area. Multiple homes were set on fire and jet fuel was splattered along streets in Tierrasanta, close to the plane's intended final destination of Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport.
No deaths were reported among people on the ground.
Williams, who lived in San Diego, left THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA in 2016 and reportedly became a software engineer.
Back in August 2019, Williams was among those who survived a mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio. The drummer was at the bar Ned Peppers at the time of the incident, which left nine people dead and at least 26 injured.
The Sound Talent Group roster boasts over 400 artists, including SUM 41, LAMB OF GOD, PIERCE THE VEIL, OPETH, PARKWAY DRIVE, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, IN THIS MOMENT, I PREVAIL, CLUTCH, ICE NINE KILLS and GWAR.
Shapiro previously worked at The Agency Group and United Talent Agency before launching Sound Talent Group with Tim Borror and Matt Andersen. Shapiro also owned the company Velocity Aviation, where he served as a flight instructor.
