YOB To Be Inducted Into Oregon Music Hall Of Fame; Announces New Shows

This year, Yob will be inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. The high, well deserved, honor comes in the same calendar year the band celebrate their 25th anniversary and further cements their legendary status as titans at the helm of their genre. The 18th Annual Oregon Music Hall of Fame Induction and Concert will take place on Saturday, October 11th at the Aladdin Theater in Portland, OR.

On the induction, Yob’s founder Mike Scheidt commented, “Yob recorded our first demo in 1999, but the birth of the idea came in 1996. It was a passion project inspired by the love of heavy music. No future plans beyond that. Fast forward nearly 30 years to now being inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame, “surreal” as a description pales to the reality of it. Words fail. Gratitude does not. We’re sending endless gratitude to everyone who has supported us in any way.”

This week Yob also revealed four US shows; New York and Chicago surround the bands previously announced European dates in October, Portland and Eugene will see dates in December.
