SPELL To Release Debut 12” On Record Store Day

SPELL (formerly known as STRYKER) are a hypnotizing heavy metal band from Vancouver, BC crafting classic NWOBHM into an original, haunting vision.

With two releases in their arsenal of magick, 2010's self-released EP Possessed By Heavy Metal and the 2012 split 7” Possessed By the Heavy Metal Embrace with Australia’s JOHNNY TOUCH on Hellrocker Records, Spell are preparing to cast their debut 12” The Full Moon Sessions on Record Store Day (April 19th) via Toronto’s Hard And Heavy Records.

Comprised of Cam Mesmer (bass, lead vocals), Graham McGee (guitars, vocals) and Lester Skelter (drums, vocals), all three have sacrificed their souls to rock ‘n roll in a quest to subvert the values of a dogmatic society. In their live performances, Spell struggles to create value in a meaningless existence. They've headlined sold-out shows across Western Canada as well as performing alongside underground champions CAULDRON, SKULL FIST, and GEORGE LYNCH (DOKKEN). They also ravaged the stage at last year's Noctis Festival alongside genre luminaries GIRLSCHOOL, PAGAN ALTAR, and CANDLEMASS.

Recorded, mixed and mastered under a series of full moons (hence the title), The Full Moon Sessions is an epic journey through melodic riffs and the doctrine-flouting mysticism of heavy metal in all its classic glory

In late April, Spell will hit the road for a west coast mini-tour in support of The Full Moon Sessions.
