Punching in at 95 seconds, shorter, faster, hard-hitting songs never go out of style and the Cro-Mags prove that with “No One’s Victim”, their first video in 27 years. The song comes from the Don’t Give In EP, released in August 2019 via Victory Records.
Filmed on location throughout 2019 during their headlining European tour and their support slot with The Misfits, “No One’s Victim” is the Cro-Mags first music video since the 1992 clip, “The Paths Of Perfection”. It was the bands previous video, 1987’s “We Gotta Know”, that gave MTV audiences a view into the crossover world of metal, thrash and punk that defined the Cro-Mags as a pioneer of a still boot-stomping scene that refuses to die. The proof is evidenced in the new video.
Cro-Mags founder Harley Flanagan adds, “This is our first ‘real’ video since 'We Gotta Know' because it's a real look at the live energy of Cro-Mags, it's not some staged video, its real, raw footage shot at our shows.”
The Cro-Mags first full-length album since the album Revenge (2000) will be coming in early 2020 on Victory Records.
Cro-Mags feature the legendary Flanagan pulling double duty with bass and lead vocals, guitarists Gabby Abularach, Rocky George (Suicidal Tendencies, Fishbone), and drummer Garry "G-Man" Sullivan.
Earlier this year the band released their first new music in nearly twenty years, with the 3-song Don’t Give In EP. On December 6, the NYC crew’s second 3-song EP will be available, titled From The Grave.
2019 marks a new chapter for Eduardo Parrillo (vocals), Fernando Parrillo (guitar), Fabio Ressio (bass) and Paulo Ressio (drums) - who help comprise Doctor Pheabes - as their recently-released third album, Army Of The Sun, brings a melting pot of feelings. On one hand, the joy of the greatest challenge and the best production they’ve ever gone through with Bruno Agra and Kato Khandwala, but yet, on the other hand the death of the latter (Kato died in a motorcycle accident in 2018).
Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, the band’s latest offering offers up plenty of melodic rock that appears custom-made for US radio, complete with hooks and big choruses - including such standout tracks as “Here To Stay” and the title track. Additionally, “Better Off Alone” - the first single and certainly the most iconic composition of the record - brought new horizons to the group and opened doors for new fans. “Your Love Is Mine,” the second single, brings a dynamic outfit to the quartet and also a video clip starring strong women and successful sportswomen. And it just so happens that another one of the album’s top tracks, “Rebel Riders,” also has a music video (filmed in Los Angeles), which can be viewed below.
And the group praises Kato’s contribution to the Army Of The Sun album. “From this friendship it came up a fantastic album,” says Fernando. “We have improved a lot as musicians and songwriters, having a guy who is in Los Angeles making rock and roll his whole life ... the apprenticeship was gigantic, every musician should get through it.” Eduardo also regrets the passing of Kato. "He was a very nice guy, patient, intelligent, we spent months getting along, it was real friendship, there were incredible moments with him."
Having already released previous albums in their homeland, Doctor Pheabes has also shared the concert stage with some of the biggest bands and as part of the best-known festivals, including Monsters of Rock in 2013, opening act for Guns N 'Roses (2014), Black Sabbath (2016) and The Rolling Stones (2016); coming back to the Monsters of Rock in 2015, and performing at Lollapalooza in 2015 and 2017 and Rock in Rio in 2017.
"It was always a desire, but also a great responsibility, even more so with authorial music,” Fernando recalls. “And we had contact with some bands, we met all The Rolling Stones, for example.” Eduardo adds: "It was magical times, we never imagined we could go through it. There, on stage, you get that euphoria back when you were a teenager. Knowing Mick Jagger is a magical thing, seeing the idols we've listened to for a lifetime something unique."
The members of Doctor Pheabes show energy for more work, although they keep their feet on the ground. "It will be worth it; we just want to perform good gigs and people to enjoy it - anything else, is welcome," concludes Eduardo. The band is planning to expand its activities to the international market with this release.

Frontiers Music Srl will release of A New Tomorrow's label debut, Universe, on December 6. Watch a video for the song "A Million Stars" below, and pre-order the album here.
Formed in London by vocalist/guitarist Alessio Garavello (ex-Powerquest/Arthemis) and bassist Andrea Lonardi, the two were later joined by drummer Tim Hall and guitarist Michael Kew. A New Tomorrow have spent the past few years honing their sound into the potent mix of uplifting, hard-hitting, melodic hard rock that you now hear today.
Harnessing influences from the likes of musical heroes such as Alter Bridge, Foo Fighters, Metallica, and Green Day, the band have been defining their sound during years of shows across the UK, Italy, and elsewhere in Europe. Offering fast and furious riffing coupled with super melodic hook lines, they have an original and cool take on the hard rock style. A New Tomorrow are indeed a sorely needed breath of fresh air in the current scene.
Drummer Tim Hall says, "Several years of amazing times, full of both ups and downs, not just as a band but as great friends, gave us the foundation to write something special for this record. "Universe" became the only title to encompass all our experiences as individuals and as a band, with themes - from fear and doubt to taking back the pursuit of our hopes and dreams - that I think all of us can identify with. The time we took gaining experience as a band, before writing "Universe", has really allowed us to find our own space within the music allowing our own individual influences to come across a lot more than in our previous releases. Expect our heaviest, yet most dynamic range of songs to date! With intricate, interwoven grooves, alongside blankets of melodic guitars and powerful vocals. We feel invigorated playing this music and can't wait to unleash that energy with you live in 2020!"
A New Tomorrow's love for life and go-getter attitude, both on and off stage, complete the picture of one of the hottest bands to come out of the British underground in recent times.
Now, the band gets to share the next chapter in their evolution worldwide through their debut full-length album "Universe". Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

From North Bay, Canada comes Within Nostalgia and their gritty video for the single “Death Lifes' Lover” off their recent release Conjuring A New Reality. Check out the video, premiered by BraveWords, below:
Cold and haunting, the video shows off the band’s flair for combining styles, with a diverse mix of sounds ranging from sadness to uplifting all the while staying powerful and unique. As a live fan favourite it was chosen as their second single and ultimately a video. Going into the particulars of the track is front woman and songwriter Alyssa Broere:
“With its catchy hook and thought-provoking lyrical concept, this one is always a favorite for us to play as well. Amongst the catchiness and melody, the bridge brings forth a death metal feel that segues back into the melody.”
Conjuring A New Reality was released on October 5 and was met with an overwhelming local response. Taking notes from bands such as Agalloch, Katatonia, and Fen; Within Nostalgia creates a bleak melodic soundscape filled with honest emotion and aggression. The band says about the album:
“Conjuring A New Reality as a whole covers much musical ground in terms of sound. Peaks and valleys emerge, evoking vast emotions. We want to create something that allows fans to expand their minds as well as think and feel life and all its highs and lows.”
Conjuring A New Reality is available on Bandcamp, Spotify, and Apple Music.

Metallica have released video from their show at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow Russia on July 21, 2019. Watch professionally-filmed footage of the band performing "Sad But True" below:
Metallica's next schedule live performance is on March 28, 2020 for the All Within My Hands Helping Hands Concert & Auction at The Masonic in San Francisco, CA. Find the band's live itinerary here.
Metallica recently donated $100,000 to help wildfire relief efforts in the state of California via their non-profit foundation, All Within My Hands. A message from the band states: "Sadly, for the third year in a row, communities we have called home throughout the state of California are again experiencing the tragedy left in the wake of wildfires.
"All Within My Hands would like to lend support to those affected in both Northern and Southern California by donating $100,000 to assist in relief, $50,000 to the Sonoma County Resilience Fund - created by the Community Foundation Sonoma County - and $50,000 to the Wildfire Relief Fund - created by the California Community Foundation.
"Both organizations are dedicated to long-term recovery efforts, helping residents resume normal lives as they get back on their feet after the devastation of these firestorms. We would also like to encourage you to join us in supporting those in need as well as the first responders who have been working tirelessly to keep Californians safe. Whether you are able to contribute money, non-perishable food, clothing and other supplies, or your time by volunteering or providing temporary housing, every bit helps.
Cult Of Luna have released a short film for "A Dawn To Fear", the title track of their new album, and the band's first material under their sole name since 2013's Vertikal 1&2. Order the new record at MetalBlade.com.
The narrative for the 'A Dawn To Fear' short film was written as a continuous story spread out over two songs ('Lay Your Head to Rest' and 'The Silent Man'). Because of the hard work that was put in by numerous people it deserves to be viewed in it’s intended form. That is why I’m excited that it’s finally available as the 18 min. piece it was written as." - Johannes Persson
Building on 20 years of creating some of the most epic, emotive and inventive heavy music unleashed on the world, there is no denying that Cult Of Luna's A Dawn To Fear is a monster of a record. An album comprised of eight tracks running 79 minutes, it embodies everything the band's faithful have come to expect from them while covering new ground. "Going into the process, we knew the album we wanted to make, an antithesis of what we've done before," says vocalist/guitarist and lead songwriter Johannes Persson. "For pretty much every album there's been a very concrete theme. We've known from the start the kind of story we wanted to tell, and I didn't want that to be the case. I've seen a lot of subtle changes and patterns in my own behavior and my own thinking the last couple of years, and I wanted this to be a completely spontaneous process. I just wanted to see what came out of me, and A Dawn To Fear is the result of that."
Admitting he is perhaps still too close to the record to objectively describe the sound of A Dawn To Fear, Persson believes that it has a more organic feel to it, largely achieved through the use of organs and other acoustic instruments in place of electronic keyboards, and that it is perhaps a more melancholic collection. It is also arguably heavier than their last full-length, 2013's Vertikal and their 2016 collaboration with Julie Christmas, Mariner, both in terms of the sheer density of the music and its tone. When it came to tracking the album, the band opted to work at Ocean Sound Recordings in Norway, which, as the name suggests, is located right by the coast, far from the nearest town. For eleven days the band lived at the studio, and enjoyed the process of constructing the record. With the finished product running to the length of a double CD, there was some discussion of cutting a track, but this did not get far. "We sat down and looked at that song list and we couldn't. It would make it easier for us and everyone involved to cut one song, making it no problem when it comes to LPs and CDs, but we just couldn't see the album any other way. These songs are the songs that make sense. If we cut this song or that song, it would screw up the whole dynamic of the record."

British rockers BRING ME THE HORIZON have released the official music video for their new song called "Ludens". The track is the latest offering from the upcoming "Death Stranding: Timefall (Original Music From The World Of Death Stranding)" soundtrack, featuring original music inspired by the upcoming PlayStation 4 (PS4) video game "Death Stranding". Last month it was announced that RCA Records has partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) to release the soundtrack on November 7.
BRING ME THE HORIZON singer Oli Sykes says: "'Death Stranding' is a game I've been waiting for long before collaborating with them was on the table. Kojima-san is one of the few people I would call a hero to me, so making a track for his first game since Konami was equal parts daunting, stressful and exciting… the whole thing felt surreal, and not right... To be honest, I didn't see where a BRING ME THE HORIZON song was going to fit into an art house AAA game, but I was stupid to try and pigeonhole Kojima's style!"
"Ludens" follows previously released tracks "Trigger" by Major Lazer x Khalid which Billboard stated the duo's moods "melt well over a ballad beat with muted dancehall influence," "Ghost" by Au/Ra x Alan Walker, "Yellow Box" by The Neighbourhood and "Death Stranding" by CHVRCHES. "Death Stranding" was met by rave reviews, with Rolling Stone declaring the track "stunning" and Uproxx calling it an "epic synth-pop jam."

Frontiers Music Srl will release Praying Mantis' new live CD/DVD, Keep It Alive, on December 6. Watch their performance of "Children Of The Earth" below, and pre-order the album/video or stream audio of "Highway" here.
Recorded live at Frontiers Rock Festival V in Milan, Italy on April 28, 2018, this brand new live release shows Praying Mantis offering the crowd a setlist of new songs and several classic tracks, including selected cuts from the now legendary debut album, "Time Tells No Lies". An awesome release, showcasing the repertoire of one of the most consistent British hard rock bands around.
Originally formed in 1973 by the Troy brothers, Tino and Chris, Praying Mantis became one of the most influential bands of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). The band is also one of a very small number of bands from that era to have remained an ongoing concern over the intervening years, and to still record and appear live regularly. The debut Praying Mantis album, Time Tells No Lies (Arista) was released in 1981 to critical acclaim, and it remains a significant milestone in the history of NWOBHM.
Following a short-lived reformation of most of the original lineup of Praying Mantis in 1987, the band went back on hiatus until offered the chance to play in Japan with ex-Iron Maiden members Paul Di'Anno and Dennis Stratton in 1990. This experience injected new life into the band, and also marked the beginning of a productive 15 year partnership with Dennis Stratton. The band's second official studio album, Predator in Disguise, was released in 1991, and the band have continued to write and release new material every two to three years ever since, with a shifting line-up which has featured the likes of Doogie White, Gary Barden, Bernie Shaw, Bruce Bisland, Mike Freeland, Gary Mackenzie, and many other figures from the cream of Britain's rock fraternity. Following another major change in lineup (including the departure of Dennis Stratton), Praying Mantis signed with Frontiers in 2007 and recorded the album Sanctuary, which was released in 2009. The album, considered to be one of the finest of their career, has received consistently positive reviews, as have the follow-ups, Legacy and Gravity.
Whether gigging in support of their latest releases, writing new material, or re-visiting other songs from their extensive back-catalogue, the Troy brothers, along with guitarist Andy Burgess and newest recruits, John 'Jaycee' Cuijpers on vocals and Hans In T' Zandt on drums and vocals, remain committed to the blend of melody and power in their music that has become a trademark of the Praying Mantis sound, and, some three decades after forming, the band is still completely dedicated to entertaining a seemingly ever-growing army of fans across the globe.

Pretty Maids has premiered a new video for "Will You Still Kiss Me (If I See You In Heaven)" video, taken from their new album Undress Your Madness.
Undress Your Madness shows Pretty Maids are still in the freshest and most vital phase of their career since the early '90’s. Order the CD/LP/digital here. Fans can order limited edition, 180g, gatefold, silver color vinyl and t-shirt bundles from Frontiers' webstores here.
"I think the new album is a kind of continuation of what we’ve done the past ten years,” says singer Ronnie Atkins. "I’m really happy about the way it turned out 'cause there’s a lot of good songs on it in my humble opinion and it’s probably even more melodic than our previous efforts.”
The production, as always, is absolutely stellar thanks to Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Kobara And The Lotus), who has given the band a sound that not only reinvigorates them, but also incorporates the beloved soundscapes of the past. Modern and classic at the same time, if you will.
"It’s just a match made in heaven I think. There’s a great chemistry between us, we share the same humor and thoughts about what a good song is, so there’s a lot in common,” continues Ronnie. "Quite simply the most gentle and easy going guy I've ever worked with.”
What can then be said about Ronnie Atkins and Ken Hammer? One of the best songwriting teams in the genre, hands down. Atkins' voice just gets better and better as the years go by. Menacing and vicious one minute, melodic and soothing the next. Likewise, Hammer is on fire here and lays down some of his heaviest riffs in recent memory. Rene Shades' bass playing is as thunderous as ever, propelling the incredible rhythms of the songs along with the superb drumming of Allan Sørensen, who's playing matches perfectly with what each song calls for. Chris Laney's keyboards add a wonderful texture and nuance to these brilliant compositions, tying everything together in the perfect package.
Every track on this beauty is worthy of your attention, whether it is an in-your-face barn burner such as the storming opener “Serpentine,” the title track, and “Black Thunder” or timeless melodic metal anthems such as “Firesoul Fly" and “Will You Still Kiss Me (If I See You In Heaven)”, or even a superb power ballad like “Shadowlands”.
“The album was written in a very short period of time,” tells Ronnie Atkins. “Basically it was written in January, just prior to recording it in February this year. So everything was very fresh when we entered the studio, in fact, so fresh that some of the songs were hardly finished when we started, but it all fell into place as we preceded with the recordings.”
The final result is Undress Your Madness, a record that has everything that Pretty Maids fans could possibly ask for.

The most ambitious project of metal history of Blind Guardian is out today, Legacy Of The Dark Lands hits the record stores. To celebrate the release, the band offers fan an official video for "War Feeds War". The idea of recording an orchestral album originally formed in the minds of the two leading lights of the Blind Guardian universe - guitarist André Olbrich and singer Hansi Kürsch - during the 1990's when Blind Guardian started to use orchestral elements to enhance their opulent sound. The monumental project started to take shape over recent years, and mirroring its epic sound cascades, the lyrical concept was developed. To create the concept, André and Hansi worked alongside German bestselling author Markus Heitz, whose latest novel Die dunklen Lande was released on March 1, 2019.
Hansi about the video:
"Time to witness our journey through the Dark Lands. 'War Feeds War' gives you an idea about whom we encountered and what we 'beheld' during our short, but somehow very unpleasant stay. Note: the riders are amongst us! I am glad we made it back, safely, for today’s release of Legacy Of The Dark Lands. We hope you enjoy this fantastic album and this glorious video. We had great fun doing it! Now go and get your copy."

Meanwhile, Hansi Kursch discusses the new album in an interview with The Metal Voice. Watch below:
Swedish classic rock/A.O.R. supergroup The Night Flight Orchestra have released a brand new album teaser video and single for "Cabin Pressure Drops."
Earlier this year, the band announced that they had started recording the successor of 2018's Sometimes The World Ain't Enough which is due for a 2020 release. The band have been working at the Nordic Sound Labs using the same drum kit that was used during the recordings of ABBA's 1980 mega album Super Trouper.
The band comments, "So, you thought you knew what The Night Flight Orchestra was all about? You were sure that they were all about good times, boogie-woogie, radio-friendly A.O.R.? Damn, you were wrong. The one thing that has kept those ageing Swedish hearts beating for so long is DRAMA! Internal conflicts, external conflicts, rumours and exaggerations. Sometime early next year, The Night Flight Orchestra will release their new album. 'Cabin Pressure Drops' is a street opera based upon shattered dreams, broken illusions, and the fact that we are all something much less than the person we were supposed to be. But in the darkness there's a always a glimmer of hope. And from that glimmer of hope, with the right mindset, you can sculpt and create a whole lot of Swedish classic rock melodrama. Most bands are teasing with clips from the studio and interviews with various band members talking about how excited they are about the new material. The Night Flight Orchestra are beyond excited. Therefore, they've decided to release a tiny soap opera instead, set against the background of the instrumental 'Cabin Pressure Drops,' available on every streaming service near you. The Night Flight Orchestra would like to remind you that this is only the beginning…"
Eastern Europe, Slavic, Balkan, Russian. For some reason Pyogenesis feel attached to these regions. "But the new song "Mother Bohemia" is more than an ode to your mentality, that is so different from ours but much appreciated", the band states. It deals with Bohemian thousand year old struggle in the 19th century, which is similar to many of the above mentioned Eastern parts. The new Pyogenesis album "A Silent Soul Screams Loud" will be released on January 24th 2020.
WE SELL THE DEAD's sophomore album, "Black Sleep", will be released on February 21, 2020 via earMUSIC, bringing a riveting mix of dark and raw heavy metal with catchy songs about death as an integral part of life and living.
The band has shared the video for the new single "Across The Water". Check it out below.
"The term 'black sleep' is, of course, a metaphor for death," the band explains. "'Eternal sleep' is a somewhat more frequently used term, but we wanted an expression that sounded both sinister and soft at the same time. Because it is a quite beautiful thing — this short life of ours. Blink and it's over. And, most importantly, death is not the enemy. Indifference and life without meaning are. We are all going to die, eventually, all of us, sometime sooner or later. Life isn't about sitting and waiting for that to happen. Life is about taking what you've got and squeezing the most out of it."
WE SELL THE DEAD began in 2016 with Niclas Engelin (IN FLAMES, ENGEL) and Jonas Slättung (DRÖMRIKET). They were quickly joined by their old friend Apollo Papathanasio — the frontman for FIREWIND and SPIRITUAL BEGGARS — on vocals. Gas Lipstick, the drummer for the first album and a former member of HIM, has been replaced by ENGEL drummer Oscar Nilsson due to logistical circumstances. In addition, Petter Olsson joins the band as a full-time member on keys and thereby perfectly rounds out the quintet.
Arizona psychedelic sludge metal trio Sorxe have released a new music video featuring the song, "Dependence Day". The shapeshifting and heat-drenched song comes from the band's most recent offering, The Ark Burner, which was released worldwide via Prosthetic Records on October 11th. The video was filmed in the Arizona blazing sun and desert by the band and photographer / director Jason Cakebread of Fatcake Media.
About the video and track, Sorxe frontman, Tanner Crace comments, "We wanted to do something different from our last video ('Hypnotizer') so we set out with some vague concepts in mind. Less performance shots and more of a visual story and setting up a vibe. I was wanting to get a '90s grunge rock vibe with minimal performance stuff, but with a nine-minute track we had to get a lot of content, b-roll etc. The end result was a good mixture of Arizona desert oppressive heat and night time trippy Phoenix city stuff. Jason Cakebread, who did the video, did a excellent job with layering and editing it all together! Definitely a lot of things happening to warrant multiple viewings."

Texas-based rock band Blacktop Mojo treats fans to a brand new video for their song "Come Get Your Coat", which appears on the recently released album, Under The Sun.
Speaking exclusively to BraveWords scribe Aaron Small, Blacktop Mojo vocalist Matt James reveals the lyrical inspiration behind "Come Get Your Goat" by saying, “‘Come Get Your Coat’ is interesting because I was actually on the other side of that. I was the one that left my jacket and got that awkward text. When it pops up on your phone, it’s kind of the worst feeling in the world, when somebody kicks you out after a one-night stand, but they’re letting you know you left your whatever over here.” To read the complete interview, click here.

The official music video for the song "I Really Blew It" from TAYLOR HAWKINS AND THE COATTAIL RIDERS' new album, "Get The Money", can be seen below. Featuring a 1970s late night music video TV show vibe, the epic clip — directed by Wiley Hodgen and Taylor himself — spins a classic rock n roll seduction story featuring a flaming Dave Grohl apparition, miniaturized COATTAIL RIDERS jamming with Perry and Etty Farrell, members of the Hawkins family, and, of course, Taylor — flexing his thespian skills here in multiple roles.
"Get The Money" is being released today (Friday, November 8) via Shanabelle/RCA Records.
Produced by John Lousteau and Taylor himself, and mixed by Sylvia Massy, "Get The Money" follows Taylor's 2016 six-song mini-LP "KOTA" by three years almost to the day, and features a scope far wider than "KOTA"'s takes on suburbia's bizarro underbelly. The new album finds Taylor and Coattail Riders Chris Chaney, Brent Woods and John Lousteau accompanied by an all-star supporting cast including Taylor's fellow FOO FIGHTERS Grohl and Pat Smear, Roger Taylor, Joe Walsh, Duff McKagan, Nancy Wilson, Chrissie Hynde, Perry Farrell, LeAnn Rimes and more, collectively creating a staggering, epic sprawl that swerves from classic rock to prog and glam and all points between.
"Get The Money" track listing:
01. Crossed The Line (featuring Dave Grohl, Jon Davison)
02. Don't Look At Me That Way (featuring Duff McKagan, Nancy Wilson)
03. You're No Good At Life No More (featuring Dave Grohl)
04. I Really Blew It (featuring Dave Grohl, Perry Farrell)
05. Queen Of The Clowns (featuring Mark King)
06. Get the Money (featuring Joe Walsh, Chrissie Hynde, Duff McKagan)
07. C U In Hell (featuring LeAnn Rimes)
08. Middle Child (featuring Dave Grohl)
09. Kiss The Ring
10. Shapes Of Things (featuring Roger Taylor, Pat Smear)
Since the Texas-born Laguna-bred force of nature made his Foo Fighting debut on the tour supporting 1997's sophomore opus "The Colour And The Shape", he has been an essential element of the sound and personality of the last great American arena/stadium rock band. He's played on Grammy-winning FF albums, including "There Is Nothing Left To Lose", "One by One" and "Wasting Light", and contributed lead vocals to "Concrete And Gold"'s "Sunday Rain", as well as "Cold Day In The Sun" from 2005's "In Your Honor". Taylor's previous extracurricular output includes two albums from TAYLOR HAWKINS AND THE COATTAIL RIDERS, one with THE BIRDS OF SATAN, the above-mentioned "KOTA" mini-LP that featured Hawkins on lead vocals and nearly every instrument.
