Polish progressive rock masters, Riverside, will be releasing a special edition 2CD+DVD version of the Wasteland album on November 29 via InsideOutMusic. In order to promote this upcoming release, a new video clip directed by Tomasz Pulsakowski / Sightsphere & Animatic is being launched today (see below).
Riverside checked in with the following comment: “We’re coming closer to the big finale of our Wasteland adventure. The surround edition of the album with a bonus Acoustic Session EP will be out very soon, and the final concerts of the Wasteland Tour have already been announced for March and April 2020. New Messiah, featuring C. Will Harden on guitars and Craig Cefola (Dukes, Wheelhouse Junction) on drums, have released their debut album, Voice Of Choice. A video for the cover of The Time's "Jungle Love" (which was featured in Prince's Purple Rain film), featuring Tom Hunting and Darryl “DMC" McDaniels, can be seen below:
Voice Of Choice includes 20 cover songs that showcase several singers including drummer Tom Hunting (Exodus). Tom hand picked the Stevie Wonder classic “You Haven’t Done Nothin’” as a song he always wanted to cover, along with three others including The Bus Boys’ “Boys Are Back In Town”, Jerry Reed’s “East Bound And Down” and The Time’s “Jungle Love” that also sparked the interest of Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. Darryl wrote his part in that song and helped to open the album with this original take on Morris Day’s classic from the Prince film Purple Rain.
Rob Dukes (Exodus, Generation Kill, Fragile Mortals) also lends his vocals to tracks. Rob can be heard on the Judas Priest classic “Turbo Lover”, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man” and Tom Petty’s “Refugee”, all songs hand picked by Dukes who has worked with life long friend Craig Cefola for decades. Rob was instrumental in helping to get this project off the ground and brought in some of these amazing vocalists to help make this unique collection of covers a reality.
Jack Gibson (Exodus, Testament) and Craig Cefola share their respect for Jerry Reed on “East Bound And Down” from the film “Smokey And The Bandit”. Jack plays bass on the track and also performs the song with his side band (Coffin Hunter).
Venezuelan rocker Deibys Artigas is featured on “Hell Is For Children”, “Call Me”, “The Final Countdown”, the Spanish classic “Bailando” and the Billy Joel masterpiece “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant”, a song that took the band several months to create. Piano parts were turned into Acoustic Guitar, while Saxophone and Clarinet morphs into ripping lead guitar solos.
Tbilisi-based vocalist Esté is featured on “Hot Stuff”, “Our Lips Are Sealed”, “Reach Out” and The Cars classic “Moving In Stereo”. She was the first vocalist on the project and inspired the band to expand the collection to a full album release.
Mitch Saul (Kick Start Charlie) brings his unique vocal stylings to “Holiday Road” from the film “National Lampoon’s Vacation”. The band tried out several singers before finally finding the right voice for this rarely covered Lindsey Buckingham classic.
James Arthur (Wheelhouse Junction) pays tribute to Johnny Cash for the hard rock version of “Folsom Prison Blues”.
Finally, New Messiah guitarist C. Will Harden get’s his chance to shine vocally on Fleetwood Mac’s “Gold Dust Woman”.

In other news, the band recently welcomed new drummer, Cederick Forsberg (Blazon Stone, Rocka Rollas), who will debut live on stage on the forthcoming tour that starts at the end of November in Portugal.
The female fronted heavy metal act from Poland was founded by singer, guitarist and composer, Marta Gabriel. While the band is often labeled as a new wave of traditional heavy metal act, their new album presents a bit of a different approach. New songs are heavier, more intense, but first of all: more melodic.
The new album will be available as a CD, limited edition vinyl LP and digital download, the cover photo was taken by the famous Belgian photographer Tim Tronckoe, known for his cooperation with acts such as Nightwish, Delain and Epica.
CD and digital version of the album will include a bonus track in the shape of a Dokken cover, "Dream Warriors" (originally recorded for the A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 movie), while the vinyl LP version will include Crystal Viper's rendition of the I-Ten song "Alone", mainly known as the power ballad recorded by Heart.

The Raven Age have announced that to finish off what has been an incredible year so far they will be putting on a special one-off headline show in London for their UK fans. On Friday, December 13th they will bring Noctem Mortis – Night Of Death – to The Dome in Tufnell Park, and fans can expect a theatrical, Black Death-inspired show where they’ll be able to experience The Raven Age at their ambitious best. Expect drama, mystery, suspense and surprises!

They have also shared an animated lyric video for the track "Seventh Heaven", which is lyrically inspired by the historical notion - the Aureole - and finding resolve in life. George explains, “'Seventh Heaven' was written about finding a purpose. It’s easy to get yourself into a rut and become comfortable with that. Sometimes you need something to come along that makes you realise you can be better. When you think about all the things that needed to happen to lead you to that particular moment, it’s almost like a miracle."

The official music video for the song "Not Your Monster" from THE DARK ELEMENT, the project featuring former NIGHTWISH vocalist Anette Olzon and Finnish guitarist and songwriter Jani Liimatainen, can be seen below. The track is taken from THE DARK ELEMENT's second album, "Songs The Night Sings", which will be released on November 8 via Frontiers Music Srl. The follow-up to 2017's "The Dark Element" was mixed by Jacob Hansen, who has previously worked with VOLBEAT and AMARANTHE, among others.
Joining Olzon and Liimatainen in THE DARK ELEMENT's current recording lineup are Jonas Kuhlberg on bass and Rolf Pilve on drums.

Danish/American rock and rollers VOLBEAT have released a music video for the song "Die To Live", directed by Adam Rothlein at Ghost Atomic Pictures and taped at Futura Studio in Roslindale, Massachusetts. The song and video both feature appearances by CLUTCH's lead singer Neil Fallon, as well as Raynier Jacob Jacildo and Doug Corcoran of JD McPherson's band.
Said Fallon about taping the video: "A couple of months ago, I flew up to Boston to meet up with VOLBEAT to film the video for their new single, 'Die To Live'. It was a breeze to make, maybe four hours. It's a catchy straight-ahead rocker of a song and I am flattered to have been asked to participate." The second leg of VOLBEAT's "Rewind, Rebound, Replay" world tour began this past Wednesday in Warsaw, and fans who attended last night's show at Berlin's Mercedes Benz Arena got an early first look at the video. The band will close out 2019 with sold-out shows across Europe, and have recently announced new dates in early 2020.
VOLBEAT recently released its seventh studio album, "Rewind, Replay, Rebound". The effort is available on all formats, including a two-CD deluxe edition, a special deluxe edition box set, and transparent and blue colored vinyl, numbered and limited to 1,000 copies each.
"Rewind, Replay, Rebound" was produced by longtime collaborator Jacob Hansen and co-produced by guitarist Rob Caggiano and Michael Poulsen. This marks VOLBEAT's first studio album with Kaspar Boye Larsen on bass.
VOLBEAT emerged from Copenhagen in 2001. Since then, they've tirelessly clawed their way to hard rock's upper echelon with endless touring and a string of six beloved full-length albums, including the RIAA-gold-certified "Beyond Hell/Above Heaven".

Australian melodic death metal group Remission have just unveiled a music video for the title track from their forthcoming debut album The Tether’s End, which is set for release on November 15th.
Recorded between Vision Studios and their rehearsal space by Cody Brooks, mixed and mastered by Colin Dickie, The Tether's End features 11 tracks spanning 53 minutes of powerful and aggressive music. It’s a fierce and pummelling mixture of crushing thrash and melodic death metal in the vein of Sylosis and The Black Dahlia Murder.
Earlier this year, Fractal Universe released their new full-length, Rhizomes Of Insanity, via Metal Blade Records, and toured across Europe in support of it. During their album release show at Le Gueulard+ in Nilvange, France, on April 19, the band recorded their performance, where they played Rhizomes Of Insanity in its entirety, along with some fan favorites.

Cabal have released a new single, "Tongues". The track comes with a video which was shot at the Copenhell Festival 2019 in the band's homebase Copenhagen, Denmark.
"Tongues" is the first foretaste of what to expect from Cabal in 2020. A new album is about to be finished and the band will be playing their first ever US tour in February as support for Ingested.
Cabal aims to create a visceral and doom-laden atmosphere throughout both their music and visual expression. The production is crystal clear, whilst the songs draw a lot of inspirations from everything from black and death metal to djent and hardcore. After the success of their self-released debut EP Purge in 2016, the band signed with Long Branch Records and released their first full-length Mark Of Rot in early 2018. Now new material is just around the corner and in 2020 Cabal will wrap the world in darkness again.
HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD has released the official music video for its new single, "Already Dead". The song marks the band's first music released since 2018's "Psalms" EP, which has racked up over 50 million streams worldwide. "Get Loud!" was produced by Miret, while longtime friend Paul Miner handled the recording, mixing and mastering of the record at Buzzbomb Studio in Orange, California. For the artwork, the band returned to 1986's "Cause For Alarm" artist Sean Taggart. It features the iconic "Cause For Alarm" characters combined with a modern freshness.
"Get Loud!" consists of 13 tracks that are nothing short of classic, homegrown, New York hardcore, but still include some thrashy and punky variety.
Icelandic wrecking crew, Une Misère, have unleashed their full-length debut, Sermon, available via Nuclear Blast Records.
Says the band: "We could not be happier with the fact that the album is finally released. This album is a culmination of hard work, long hours and many tears cried. The album is a definite introduction to us and what we stand for. For those who have followed us from day one, thank you, so much. Having just wrapped up a European tour with Cro-Mags, Washington DC crossover thrashers, Red Death, are launching a second single for their upcoming third studio album and Century Media Records debut, Sickness Divine, out on November 29. Vocalist/bassist Chad Troncale checked in with the following comment about the song: “Title track of the record. It’s about the internet and the “holier than thou” god complex it enables most humans to indulge in. Hence the line “crucified cancellation just for using your mind”. “Divine” meaning all powerful and “Sickness” meaning it’s all in the mind and on the keyboard. Calling out the internet without using one technological term.”

Frontiers Music Srl recently announced the signing of DIRTY SHIRLEY, a new band project featuring guitarist George Lynch (THE END MACHINE, KXM, LYNCH MOB, ex-DOKKEN) and vocalist/keyboardist Dino Jelusick (ANIMAL DRIVE, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA).
DIRTY SHIRLEY's self-titled debut album will be released on January 24, 2020. The official music video for the disc's first single, "Here Comes The King", can be seen below.
Croatian singer Dino Jelusick, over the course of just one album and one covers EP released with his band ANIMAL DRIVE, has started to make quite the name for himself in the hard rock and metal scene. More than a few musicians of note have called up Dino to see if he might be interested in collaborating, which he is floored by. This talented young singer has an appreciation and deep respect for the musical heroes who preceded and profoundly influenced him. So, when George Lynch opened the doors to the idea of writing and producing a record together, Dino was more than intrigued. Frontiers, known for releasing interesting collaborations of this nature, was more than happy to be the label home for this project.
The resulting album and band, DIRTY SHIRLEY — named after one of the first songs they wrote together — covers a wide spectrum of styles. Classic metal to more "traditional" LYNCH MOB-oriented sounds and even some hints of the first BADLANDS album are in the mix. Showcasing a stunning performance from George Lynch — a seemingly bottomless pit of inspired and creative guitar playing — and an absolutely over the top lead vocal performance from Dino, DIRTY SHIRLEY is going to be an easy "must listen" for the hard rock and metal crowd. EVANESCENCE drummer Will Hunt rounds out the lineup.
Dino says: "This record was done differently from everything else I did so far. George jammed and sent me rough versions and I tried a thousand melodies and lyrics on it. It turned out fantastic and very versatile. From R&B and rock ballads to some very heavy tunes, bluesy stuff, hard rock, rock 'n' roll, grungy vibes... everything. Will was the perfect drummer for this, loud and groovy. I recorded vocals while being on tour with TSO in the bus, every evening when we had a day off. And finished it in Croatia. You gotta listen to the whole album to get the impression of it, not only singles. But the first single will surely kick your ass, so better be prepared!"
George adds: "At its core, this record is built on classic guitar riffage and grooves, but is also infused with eclectic tendencies scattered about that are unexpected and challenging. 80% of the guitar work on this record is rhythms, so I wanted to create a three-dimensional sonic tapestry that complimented the more basic riffs and chords. I tried to add a little twist to everything." He continues: "It was funny because when the label approached me about pairing up with Dino, for some reason I got the impression he was an Italian pop singer. LOL. So I wrote some songs in that vein, haha. ; ) Then when I heard what he was actually all about, I had to duck back into the laboratory and reinvent the wheel. If Ronnie James Dio and young Coverdale had a baby boy, his name would be Dino."

HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES were the musical guests on last night's (Thursday, October 31) episode of "The Late Late Show With James Corden". The band performed the song "I Want My Now", taken from the band's second album, "Rise".
HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES are built around the undeniable chemistry between rock and roll royalty Joe Perry, Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp and shock rock icon Alice Cooper.
"Rise" was released on June 21 on earMUSIC as a CD digipak, 2LP+download and digital. The disc was produced by Tommy Henriksen and the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES.
Unlike HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES' 2015 debut record, "Rise" consists mainly of original material, written by the band. There are however, in the spirit of the VAMPIRES' original mission, three covers of songs originally written and recorded by some fellow rockers who died far too young: an intimate and intense version of "Heroes"; the JIM CARROLL BAND's "People Who Died" and Johnny Thunders's "You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory", sung by Perry.
Completing the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES live lineup are rock star musician friends Glen Sobel (ALICE COOPER) on drums, Chris Wyse (THE CULT) on bass, and Buck Johnson (AEROSMITH) on keyboard and vocals.
Reactivated U.K. thrashers ACID REIGN have released the official music video for their cover version of Suzanne Vega's "Blood Makes Noise". The track is taken from the band's first full-length album in 29 years, "The Age Of Entitlement", which came out on September 27 via Dissonance Productions.
Commented vocalist Howard "H" Smith: "Well, we really wanted to 'ACID REIGN' a cover version, but every time we came up with a song, at least one other person in the band would say it was crap. I mentioned 'Blood Makes Noise' to Paul [Chanter, guitar], and about two weeks later, I was driving to a gig and he messaged to say, 'I've sent you a demo,' and there it was, on my phone, so I was singing along with it in the car thinking, 'This is going to be brilliant.' I stuck the vocals on it, and all of a sudden, the argument over which cover version we should do disappeared! I e-mailed it to Suzanne Vega's management and also sent it to her Facebook page along with a note saying, 'Look, I've been a big fan since back in the day, I actually ripped off one of your lyrics on our album 'The Fear' (and no, I'm not saying which one) and this is a homage, our version of your song done with love and respect. Hope you like it.' About two weeks went by, and I'd just got home from a comedy gig [Howard has a stand-up alter ego called Keith Platt, Professional Yorkshireman] when my phone vibrated and there was a conversation waiting to be had on Facebook messenger. I didn't know who it was so I answered, and it was Suzanne Vega and the first line of the message — because I'd said 'hope you like it' — was, in capitals, 'I LOVE IT.' And, in fact, I've actually got a screenshot of the conversation framed in my front room. It says, 'I love it. I want to copy the link and share it with my team. Here's my email. She gave me her personal e-mail address. 'Please send me an mp3.' So I replied, 'Yes, you'll have it in a few minutes'. Then she said, 'Puts me in a really great mood, I must say. Thanks for this.' It was absolutely brilliant."
He added: "I've been a fan of Suzanne's for over 30 years and so to not only have her approval but to have her on the song is just amazing.
"Clearly it is our own unique take on it, and hopefully Suzanne's fans and our fans will both discover some cool back catalogue on both sides."
Said Vega: "ACID REIGN has done a super cool cover of 'Blood Makes Noise'! Check it out."
