FEVER 333 is currently on the road in Europe supporting BRING ME THE HORIZON on the "First Love" tour, and is set to return to the states this January for the tour's North American leg. Demonstrations get underway January 23 in Nashville, Tennessee and continue through mid-February.
FEVER 333's sound instantly exploded to fans around the world with its live performances at all of the top festivals this year, packing stages and tents everywhere, including Download and Reading in the U.K., Fuji Rock in Tokyo, Afro-Punk in Brooklyn, Lowlands in Holland, and Riot Fest in Chicago.
omprised of vocalist Jason Aalon Butler (ex-LETLIVE.), drummer Aric Improta (NIGHT VERSES) and guitarist Stephen Harrison (ex-THE CHARIOT), FEVER 333 released its politically charged breakthrough EP "Made An America" earlier this year. The collection is highlighted by the EP's title track and the Top 10 rock radio song "Walking In My Shoes". This September, FEVER 333 offered an official remix for "Made An America" featuring Vic Mensa and Travis Barker, which was joined by an official music video. The black-and-white clip for the remix, directed Brandon Dermer, sees Butler and Mensa backed by Barker on drums as they spit vitriol aimed at the injustices committed against underrepresented communities.
Explicitly devoted to a revolutionary cause and delivering aggressive advocacy through a molotov cocktail of punk, hip-hop, and thrash, FEVER 333's activism serves as the banner for the band’s focus on community, charity and change.
Joe Perry — legendary guitarist, co-founding member, principal songwriter and co-producer of AEROSMITH — has just announced a new single, video and tour dates with his AEROSMITH bandmate Brad Whitford and Gary Cherone of EXTREME. The music video for "Quake" is available below.
"Quake" featuring Cherone is being released today (Friday, November 9). The hard-charging track with Perry's killer riffs and Cherone's gutsy vocals is from soon-to-be-released vinyl-only version of Perry's "Sweetzerland Manifesto" (Roman Records) and was debuted live earlier this year (January 16) when Cherone joined Perry at the latter's two-hour plus set at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The "Quake" video features Perry — the essence of cool — alone with his guitar and amp, firing up the song alongside the lyrics and a super-hip dancing couple who embody the tune's freewheeling rock and roll spirit. It was directed by Joe's son Roman Perry.
Perry and his band will perform the song live on his upcoming headlining dates, which kick off November 30 in Iowa and include stops in New York, Detroit, Philadelphia and more before wrapping up with three Los Angeles-area shows. These performances follow gigs in April where Perry debuted his new touring band featuring Whitford and Cherone taking on lead vocals.
Along with choice cuts from his catalog of solo records, Joe will be performing rarely played AEROSMITH classics from the band's early records, including "Toys In The Attic", "Get Your Wings" and "Rocks", among others.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, LINKIN PARK's video for its hit song "Numb" has surpassed one billion views on YouTube. Following the death of singer Chester Bennington in July 2017, fans of the group launched an unofficial campaign to get the "Numb" video to that milestone, a mission that was only recently completed.
"Numb" is taken from LINKIN PARK's 2003 sophomore album "Meteora". It was the 13th and final song on the LP and was released as the third single from the record. It topped the Alternative chart for 12 weeks and the Rock chart for three. The video, directed by band DJ Joe Hahn, is the oldest uploaded clip on YouTube to cross the one-billion mark.
The song was remixed as "Numb/Encore", a collaboration between the band and rapper Jay-Z. Featured on the album "Collision Course", it was a massive hit for both artists and earned them the Grammy Award for "Best Rap/Sung Collaboration."
LINKIN PARK vocalist Mike Shinoda recalled a while back that "Numb/Encore" was one of the first things he came up with when the band was first approached to work with Jay-Z. "I was on the road at the time," he said. "I immediately opened up my laptop and went to the store and bought his a capellas, and I made basically the single and the B-side, I made 'Numb/Encore' and sent them to him. So we were off to a good start and we basically just started this kind of working relationship from there."
b>LINKIN PARK has not performed together in public since October 2017, when the surviving members staged a tribute concert in Los Angeles to Bennington. The band has not officially announced whether it intends to carry on following the death of Bennington, who committed suicide in July 2017 at the age of 41.
Released in 1997, "Defrosted" was the very first live album released by the Swiss hard rock band GOTTHARD. To this day, it is seen as a cult milestone in the group's career that helped establish GOTTHARD as the most successful band from Switzerland.
For more than 25 years, GOTTHARD has thrived in the global spotlight with a career that includes 16 No. 1 albums, over three million records sold, multiple awards and over 2,000 shows all over the planet. And now, 21 years after "Defrosted"'s release, the circle is completed as GOTTHARD returns to Sony Switzerland and Nuclear Blast with "Defrosted 2".
An ultimate compilation of unplugged versions of GOTTHARD's greatest hits, "Defrosted 2" was recorded this past March on the "Defrosted" tour. Even though the concept was the same as it was over 20 years ago — to capture the unique chemistry between the band and the fans — the circumstances that the band find themselves in are different. Both the band and their audience have grown, and yet after 25 years, it's the same unparalleled intimacy that GOTTHARD brings to its live performances that makes this record what it is.
After celebrating its "silver" anniversary with its latest studio album that set new chart records and saw GOTTHARD play shows at a number of prestigious festivals, "Defrosted 2" showcases 22 of the band's most iconic tracks as well as two brand new songs.
s soon as Leo Leoni, Freddy Scherer, Marc Lynn and Hena Habegger begin to play the first notes of the purest acoustic sound while vocalist Nic Maeder casually greets the audience in three different languages, even those who are new to GOTTHARD will soon feel at home. If you're not sold by this point, then the first chorus of the album's first track, the sensual and groovy "Miss Me", will serve as a stark reminder that the only important thing is the joy of live music. Andy Pupato is as faultless behind the kit as he was on the first "Defrosted", while Ernesto Ghezzi once again proves his talent as a live keyboard player and "The G-Strings" (the string quartet centered around Barbara Kubli), which performs live with GOTTHARD from time to time, provides a perfect dose of elegance. Newly appointed backing vocalists Maram El Dsoki and Barbara Comi's velvety soft vocals and radiant power give the band wings and imbue "Defrosted 2" with an exciting new charm.
Whether it's 1992's "Hush", the gilded "Heaven" from 2000, the "comeback single" "Remember It's Me" (issued after the tragic loss of original vocalist Steve Lee), the hard-rocking "Bang!" from the 2014 album of the same name, the tender "Beautiful" or the recent "Stay With Me", "Defrosted 2" is a well-paced journey through the years, including breathtaking solos, wild honky tonk interludes ("Sweet Little Rock 'N' Roller") and sincere declarations of love. And if you think you've heard everything after the wild trip through 25 years of classics, there are two new tracks on top. First, there's the mighty ballad "What I Wouldn't Give", which tears everything down in a powerful wave of emotion, and the party hit "Bye Bye Caroline", which is also the first single from "Defrosted 2". Lyrically inspired by STATUS QUO's 1973 hit "Caroline", the live opener of the U.K. rockers for 25 years, the track was created with Francis Rossi himself, who was also involved in contributing guitar and duet vocals. The song was spontaneously written backstage on the last "Rock Meets Classic" tour, when Francis, Leo and Nic sealed their new friendship directly by writing a new song together.
The official video for "What I Wouldn't Give" can be seen below.
Due on December 7, "Defrosted 2" was produced by Leo Leoni in collaboration with Nicolo Fragile and, as usual, Charlie Bauerfeind was responsible for the mix. The double album, which will be released in the high-quality Ecolbook format and as a four-fold vinyl version worldwide on December 7, 2018, was further refined in the Wisseloord Studio in Hilversum, where legends like THE ROLLING STONES, U2 and the SCORPIONS have already worked and recorded.

he band comments: "What took place at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on the 19th of January 2018 was pure magic. It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us as a band and as people. The work involved, the pre-performance tension, the intensity on stage, the energy between us and the audience — all of this was beyond anything we've ever done before. This event was not just a show, it was a birthday party, an anniversary celebration and most importantly a huge THANK YOU to everyone who travelled side by side with us for the last twenty years. And now, with the release of 'The 119 Show - Live In London', we can also share the magic with those fans who weren't able to party with us in January."
Scabbia explained to Tattoo.com that "there is a reason" January 19 was chosen as the date for the anniversary show. "It's because 1/19 is recognized as 'Lacuna Coil Day,' because we have a song that's called '1.19', so the people from the fan club and the fans decided to declare it 'Lacuna Coil Day,'" she said. "And we thought about making a special show in London, because, logistically, we thought it was the easiest way to reach, even for people who are not coming from Europe, our area. Usually the flights are cheaper. Like, if you come from the States, it's easier to reach London than Milano, for instance, [which] is our hometown. So we thought about London."
"First Under The Sun", the new video from SINBREED, the German power metal band featuring BLIND GUARDIAN drummer Frederik Ehmke and ex-VICIOUS RUMORS singer Nick Holleman, can be seen below. The track is taken from SINBREED's upcoming album, "IV", which will be released on November 23 via Massacre Records. The disc was produced by Flo Laurin, mixed by Laurin and Markus Teske and mastered by Teske, all at Bazement Studios. The album's cover artwork was created by Alexander Schulz.
According to a press release, the new SINBREED bandmembers, Holleman and Spanish guitarist extraordinaire Manuel Seoane (MÄGO DE OZ), were involved in the songwriting process from the very beginning and have spiced things up a bit. Holleman impressively showcases what he has learned in the past years and proves that he is indeed one of the best in his field. THE NEW ROSES lead singer Timmy Rough is responsible for the sophisticated choir arrangements, which underline the powerful QUEEN-esque choirs you can hear on the album.
Earlier in the year, SINBREED parted ways with singer Herbie Langhans and has replaced him with Holleman.
Guitarist Marcus Siepen (BLIND GUARDIAN) left SINBREED in 2015, with Seoane joining the band after the release of the album "Shadows".

Swedish thrash metal quintet Defiatory released their sophomore album Hades Rising via Black Lion Records in May 2018. The album consists of all the essences of what thrash metal should be — a fantastic trip to the emergency room, to have neck fusion surgery, to repair it from the continuous beating it just received from this album.
Defiatory recently filmed a video for the third track from the album, "King In Yellow". This track is a nod to Robert W. Chambers’ collection of weird short stories, The King In Yellow.
Defiatory was initiated in 2015 by guitarist Ronnie Björnström upon his departure from the prominent death metal band Aeon. Soon, Martin Runnzell joined the band to fill the vocal position, and the first demo track, 'Furor Unleashed', saw the light of day within a week after the initial collaboration between Martin and Ronnie. Shortly thereafter, Defiatory completed their debut effort, Extinct, which was released via Black Lion Records in 2016.
Defiatory released their second album, aptly titled Hades Rising, earlier this year. The album marks the continuation of the band’s collaboration with Black Lion Records. Hades Rising carries on from the aggressive thrash metal sound established on the debut album, evolving into more rhythmic and melodic sessions, granting more variances without losing focus on what is important in the old school style of thrash metal. Taking influences from the Bay Area thrash masters, Defiatory flourishes their music through comprehensible production approach. The sophomore album, containing 11 tracks of relentless neck-wrecking thrash metal, with an amazing artwork painted by Mika Rudin, is out now.
Tracklisting:
"In Hell"
"Dance Of The Dead"
"King In Yellow"
"Stronger Than God"
"Death Takes Us All"
"Morningstar"
"Down To His Kingdom Below"
"Metatron"
"Bane Of Creation"
"All That Remains"
"Hades Rising"
Swedish rock quintet Spiral Skies have unveiled a new, ominous music video for their song “Awakening.” The song is found on their debut album, Blues For A Dying Planet, that’s out now on AOP Records.
With influences ranging over decades, Spiral Skies has created a sound that can most easily be described as “Rock from another planet.” A unique blend of folk, doom and 70’s inspired rock music. The band has been compared to band such as Jefferson Airplane, Curved Air and The Devil's Blood, to name a few.
Spiral Skies’ new album Blues For A Dying Planet is available digitally and on CD and vinyl from AOP Records via distribution from Plastichead (Europe, USA, World) and Edel (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
Minus One, the well-known rock band from Cyprus, will release their new single, “Girl” this Friday. The track is from the quintet's new album Red Black White, which is going to be released by Mighty Music on December 14th. “Girl” is also premiering today as a new official video:
Red Black White was recorded and mixed by Soren Andersen, produced by Soren Andersen and the band at Medley Studio (Mike Tramp, Glenn Hughes, Artillery) and mastered by Thomas "Plec" Johansson of Panic Studio Sweden and shows a super professional rock band that should appeal to both AOR/melodic rock fans with a modern Muse meets Imagine Dragon touch.
Minus One was formed in 2009 and is one of the best rock bands from Cyprus. They play over 70 live shows every year and have so far performed in UK, USA, Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Austria and Russia, and even acted as a support band for Glenn Hughes on a mini-tour.
Danish thrash metal veterans ARTILLERY will release their ninth studio album, "The Face Of Fear", on November 16 via Metal Blade. The follow-up to 2016's "Penalty By Perception" is ARTILLERY's third effort with the current lineup.
The official music video for the song "Pain", taken from "The Face Of Fear", can be seen below. The clip was produced by Morten S. Madsen and features the talented Danish actor Tommy Vonsyld in the leading role.
Says the band: "The video for the song 'Pain' is about a man that live his life isolated and everything is centered around his abuse of drugs and alcohol. He is in pain and struggling with mental and psychological issues caused by his own abuse. He is near the end of his life, and haunted by his own demons and the reaper is lurking in the shadows."
The lyrics are ARTILLERY as you know them, with subjects concerning the destruction of mankind, double standards, abuse and the looming worst-case scenarios. "The Face Of Fear" was recorded with longtime producer Søren Andersen at Medley Studios. It's Søren's fifth time at the helm, and once again he manages to deliver a monster production.
b>Søren comments: "Pure and raw! Some of the material of this album was originally written in the early '80s, and that inspired us to go old school this time. Not too many layers, just classic ARTILLERY thrash metal... And Bastholm [singer Michael Bastholm Dahl] is better than ever on this one. This is a no-filler album, created together with the band. I'm really proud of the final result and I hope everyone will enjoy it as much as I do!"

For the rest of 2018, there will be time for Copenhell's Metal Cruise and a Denmark tour, plus a release party on High Voltage. 2019 will include tours in Europe, South America and USA.

Radio Silence, the sophomore release from the LA based rock band Roxanne, is out now via Rat Pak Records. A video for the album track "Thin Blue" line can be found below.
Originally formed in the late '80s, Roxanne garnered commercial success with their 1988 self-titled debut album, which was well received with two songs charting on rock radio; “Cherry Bay” and “Sweet Maria”, as well as a cover of Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music” which hit #63 on the Billboard singles charts and was in full rotation on both dance and rock stations simultaneously.
As with many bands from that era, facing the decline in interest for AOR rock due to the onslaught of the grunge scene, the guys in Roxanne went on hiatus. Now, 30 years later, the band returns with a new offering entitled Radio Silence, which features 11 tracks of pure adrenalized classic rock influenced music, and also features special guest appearances by guitar legend George Lynch, King’s X frontman dUg Pinnick and Korn drummer Ray Luzier.
Regarding the recording process, lead singer Jamie Brown comments, “We wanted to make a rock record that you’d want to crank in your car and drive fast with the windows down and I think we accomplished that!” Drummer Dave Landry adds, “We are all very proud of this album and are ecstatic the way it turned out... the songs, the tones and the performances. Recorded on two-inch analog, it sounds real, it is real, and truly represents the way our band sounds!”
With influences that range from Queen to Bad Company to Thin Lizzy, Radio Silence is best described as a perfect blend of classic rock with a modern-day edge. The album was produced by Rich Mouser and Jamie Brown and recorded, mixed & mastered at The Mousehouse Studio in Los Angeles, CA
Roxanne's Radio Silence is available in various formats and bundle configurations including a limited print Red & Black Splatter vinyl pressing with an alternate track sequence, cassette and hand-autographed CD bundle which you can find at this location.

Mercury Retrograde is the perfect blend of heavy and melodic tunes for all to enjoy. The album is available via Pavement Entertainment and can be found at major retailers Walmart and Meijer, as well as on all digital outlets.

Tantric music can be super-heavy, light—or both It’s really an open book with no ending in sight.”

Industrial-metal legends MINISTRY will continue to promote their critically acclaimed album "AmeriKKKant" with a full U.S. tour later this November, supported by synth-wave sensations CARPENTER BRUT. In anticipation of the trek, the band has released a visualizer for the track "We're Tired Of It".
Released this past March, "AmeriKKKa" was produced by MINISTRY leader Al Jourgensen and was recorded at Caribou Studios in Burbank, California. The artwork was created by Mister Sam Shearon.
Jourgensen recently confirmed to Billboard that MINISTRY has already commenced work on the follow-up to "AmeriKKKant". "I have to get as many albums as I can done while Trump is still president," Al explained. "And then what am I going to do: write those crappy albums that I write while Democrats are president?
Speaking about the lyrical themes that fans can expect to see on MINISTRY's next record, Jourgensen said: "The last album was not an anti-Trump album, it was like the 'how we got here' album. It kind of touched on what I was talking about with the [self-titled SURGICAL METH MACHINE] album, how society has changed so drastically since social media because ubiquitous. And in a 'Black Mirror', Charlie Brooker kind of way, examining the ramifications and permutations of what that entails. Trump is the perfect byproduct of the society we've created…"
e continued: "Society is really changing, but I do actually see hope, in a very cautious way, the same way I saw hope back in the late '60s when I was first really becoming aware of politics and the way society works… I just hope we don't make the same mistakes that turned a social movement into the latest fashion trend. If you look back on the '60s, we made some nominal civil rights and gender rights gains, but generally what we have to show for it is LSD and bell-bottoms and Woodstock. I'm hoping we go a little bit further this time. And I do see the new album touching on topics like that."
Asked if MINISTRY's next album will follow in "a similar direction" to the three albums condemning the Bush administration — "Houses Of The Molé", "Rio Grande Blood" and "The Last Sucker" — Al said: "Three albums of bashing Bush… although the last one was almost like, I felt sorry for the guy as much as I felt sorry for us for having to deal with the guy. 'The Last Sucker' was, like, 'We're all suckers in this.' 'AmeriKKKant' wasn't completely anti-Trump. It was how we got to Trump, and I think this next album is going to be much more of a positive message of 'How do we get out of Trump and keep it that way?' So I'm thinking about this in a structural sense. As far as musically, the stuff that I've been working on lately is far more PORTISHEAD than MOTÖRHEAD. [Laughs] We're getting a lot more into electronics again and scratching, as opposed to three chords and a cloud of dust and shouting as loud as you can through blown-out speakers. That's certainly served its purpose for me for a while, but I think we're getting into more heady material."

On April 6th, 1974 Deep Purple appeared on stage at the California Jam festival at the Ontario Speedway in California.Taking top billing at the all-day event, and with great weather, Deep Purple and the other bands drew a crowd of around 165,000 people. It became the largest single-day paid attendance in U.S. rock concert history.
This astonishing concert is now the subject of a new documentary book, Deep Purple at the California Jam, released December 2012. Collecting together hundreds of black and white and colour images from a number of photographers who had all area access to the concert (and rehearsals), the large 12" by 12" format presentation allows these images to shine. Most of the photographs have never been seen before and are being fully restored and colour corrected.
Backing the images up is a detailed and lengthy essay on the concert and the build-up to the performance, from the first meetings by the promoters through to the completion of the PA towers. The text is supported by an impressive collection of rare memorabilia including internal documents, set-lists, passes, posters, tickets and even the repair bills for the TV camera.
In total this is the most comprehensive publication ever devoted to a single Deep Purple performance and is 300 pages long.

HEART singer Ann Wilson has released the official music video for her version of Lesley Gore's fearless 1963 hit "You Don't Own Me". The song features a guest appearance by guitarist Warren Haynes and is taken from her latest album, "Immortal", which was released in September. The disc features 10 musically diverse tracks that pay tribute to some of Ann's influences and friends who've recently passed and whose music poignantly lives on.
Ann recently discussed her reasoning for including the 1960s track on the album, telling Yahoo!: "'You Don't Own Me' first came out at a time when Lesley Gore was only a teenager… It was a really bold move for a teenage girl to stand up and face her boyfriend and say, 'Hey, I don't belong to you… That was a huge move back then, and it just grew and grew into what they now call a feminist anthem. But when I do it, I think it's more about respect. It could be about anybody. It's for anybody now. The song has really become a lot more universal than just a feminist anthem. It is one, but it goes a lot farther than that. And that's why I chose it, because in this era of people standing up for their choice of who they are, they can marry who they want. They can say, 'Me too.' They just should have respect, and they can proclaim it."
For "Immortal", which marks her debut for BMG, Ann has teamed with original HEART producer Mike Flicker. "Mike was the first producer to believe in me," Ann says. "He was my first teacher in the studio and knows how to provide that special support needed to bring out my soul in the recording process. It is exciting to work with him for the first time since 1980. I have traveled many, many miles since then but the old feeling is still there and fresh on 'Immortal'. He has fearlessly helped me bring my ideas to life once again and it's been a great collaboration."
Finland's Corpsessed have released the video for "Graveborne", the latest single off the band's upcoming album Impetus Of Death.
Featuring animantion by Jussi Kandelin, the video for "Graveborne" can be seen below:
Finland's Corpsessed will break a four-year silence this fall with the release of Impetus Of Death. Featuring eight crushing tracks of obscure death metal, Impetus Of Death is due out November 23rd on Dark Descent Records.
Many things have changed since the 2014 release of the band's first full-length album, Abysmal Thresholds. Main composer and guitarist Matti Mäkelä finally found some time to resurrect his funeral doom project Tyranny and release one crusher of an album (also on Dark Descent) in 2015. A year later, Corpsessed found a new bassist in Tuomas Kulmala (Lie In Ruins, Perdition Winds). And over the course of four long years, Corpsessed completed their second full-length Impetus Of Death, an album that manages to top it its predecessor in terms of heaviness and brutality while taking their epic sound a step further. The cover art and tracklisting are as follows:
"Impetus Of The Dead"
"Sortilege"
"Endless Plains Of Dust"
"Graveborne"
"Paroxysmal"
"Forlorn Burial"
"Begetter Of Doom"
"Starless Event Horizon"
"We've never been that fast composers" admits Mäkelä. "But the atmosphere must be there, the riffs must be killer and everything has to be top notch. Plus, we knew we needed to raise the bar this time. So all the band members contributed and we had three separate demo sessions of almost all the songs. It was quite time consuming but invaluable while thinking of the big picture, even more, so we've once again recorded the album ourselves."
The recordings took place from November 2017 to February 2018 in their rehearsal place, with extra help from their label-mates Lie In Ruins and Desolate Shrine, Dan Lowndes from Resonance Sound Studio took care of the mastering last April.
The album's title was inspired by the impression that, indeed, it is "death itself that sets things in motion, be it the fear or lurking presence of your own demise, or the death of a loved one. It can be seen as a force that moves us and sets a timeline for our very existence. This you can view as either something very grim and nihilistic, or on the contrary, the very thing that gives your life a meaning or the power to do anything. To create you must also destroy - 'solve et coagula' right? - where death gives birth to something new.... This is life, and death is an essential part of it. And the music we play, is death metal so what's more fitting than this?"
Impetus Of Death is completed by a fitting and disturbing artwork by Mattias Frisk from Vanhelgd whom Matti met in 2015 in Copenhagen while playing the Heavy Days In Doom Town fest with Profetus.
"We told him to do what he felt would fit the music, but devoid of the usual clichés like mystic figures in robes, goat-headed priests and nude girls on altars," recalls Mäkelä. "We also wanted it to be in colors this time around as all our previous covers were in black and white."
Simply put, the second full-length from Corpsessed is brutal; although it doesn't feel the need to break the 250 BPM barrier to show how tough it is. Still rooted in the classic sound of the early 90's yet with its own doomy touch, it's really Impetus Of Death's uncanny ability to bring forth a quite unique form of creepiness, almost cinematic in places and quite claustrophobic that sets them apart. As Matti puts it best, "What can I say? We like to keep things evil and ominous."
The official music video for "Fresh Start", a brand new song from Joan Jett, can be seen below. The track is included in the Jett documentary "Bad Reputation", which was released in theaters and on demand on September 28.
The film, which premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival, was directed by Kevin Kerslake and written by Joel Marcus.
"Bad Reputation" is described as "a look at the life of Joan Jett, from her early years as the founder of THE RUNAWAYS and first meeting with [manager/producer] Kenny Laguna in 1980 to her enduring presence in pop culture as a rock 'n' roll pioneer."
"Fresh Start" deals with the problems that rock singers face as they reach a certain age. "Sometimes you need to say to yourself, 'Am I still enjoying what I'm doing? I need to find the fire again,'" Jett told Entertainment Weekly, where the track premiered. "Part of it was just thinking about rock in general. It's always been a young person's game, writing about sex, love and partying. As rock and rollers get older, what do they write about? I'm not sure there's an answer, but we're looking for it."
he "Bad Reputation" soundtrack album was released on September 28 via Legacy/Blackheart. The career-spanning soundtrack premieres "Fresh Start", alongside definitive live and studio performances by JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS as well as tracks featuring THE RUNAWAYS, BIKINI KILL, members of THE SEX PISTOLS, and more. The album includes "Androgynous", an unreleased track performed by Miley Cyrus, Laura Jane Grace and Joan Jett.
JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS have created an unforgettable catalog of iconic recordings that can be heard around the world every day on radio as well in zeitgeist — capturing TV and motion picture soundtracks ranging from "Baby Mama", "Kick Ass", "Shrek" and "Easy A" to "Once Upon a Time", "Nashville", "CSI", "The Muppets", "True Blood", "Jessica Jones" and "The Sopranos" to Steven Spielberg's most recent science-fiction feature "Ready Player One". Jett's music has been used in a variety of commercials including campaigns for Target, Volkswagen, Hyundai and others.
An archetypal profoundly influential musician who's been called "the godmother of punk" and "the original Riot Grrrl," Joan Jett blew open the gates of rock and continues to inspire new generations of cultural revolutionaries.
