If it's powerhouse prog rock that you're after, then the fast-rising Pareidolia is the band for you. Hailing from New York City and consisting of Chandler Mogel (vocals), Stephen Dadaian (guitars), Jon-Michael Caldwell (bass), and Ryan Bertone (drums), the band will be independently issuing their debut full-length, Denied Truths, on June 24th (available through Amazon, iTunes, and CD Baby but also streaming services like Spotify, Google Play, Apple Music, Tidal, Rhapsody, iHeartRadio and others).
BraveWords is premiering the band’s new video for the album track “Betrayed Within”, which can be found below.
"This was an interesting experience because it represents the first time we all worked together for an extensive amount of time," explains Stephen (who also co-produced the album, along with Ethan Bill). "I wanted every track to have a special meaning on this album. While it’s not a concept album in the traditional sense, there are common themes that bind the tracks together. We touch on topics such as the trials and tribulations of man, overcoming our own faults, things we all face at one time or another in our lifetime. Trends come and go in music, but I feel music with substance and a meaningful message can never be swept to the side. We wanted the intensity and energy behind our message to match the music that was the vessel we were delivering it through."
And the sonic proof is in the quality of the tunes, especially in several of Stephen's favorite tracks. "“Quench The Fire” is a raw, aggressive, energetic track that is only fitting to start the album. “Betrayed Within” was a favourite, so much so that we decided this would be our single to shoot our first music video for. This tells the story of being betrayed by someone from within your inner circle, even a family member. “Redeemed” is one of the heavier tracks on the album with perhaps the most intense guitar solo as well. In a way, this song embodies our approach to this album. However, the palette spans a broad range and whether you enjoy the fusion breakdown in “A Part Of Me” or progressive solo sections in “Leave Me Alive”, there is plenty to listen to depending on your mood."
Pareidolia is fresh off a performance at the Guitar Gods Festival in Miami alongside such six-string legends as Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai. Chandler also recently lent his vocals to Angel guitarist Punky Meadows' recently released solo disc, Fallen Angel, while Stephen has won guitar competitions hosted by Slash, Jon Donais, Ernie Ball Music Man, Dean Guitars / Pantera, and has been featured in RollingStone.com and Guitar World magazine.
Lastly, what are Pareidolia's future plans? "While we have performed outside our immediate area such as at the Guitar Gods Festival, we will be working on performing in support of the release of this album. We plan to focus on continuing to establish our fan base in the NY-NJ area and hope to spread from there. We will be looking to book shows and perform with like-minded bands so fans can see these songs really come to life. We are also constantly writing and coming up with ideas. As we are performing we are also working on our next endeavour which will build on what we have already started with Denied Truths."

Despite their young age, all four members have accumulated a wealth of experience both playing live and recording in the studio with several different acts. As individuals and at times crossing paths, they have played and/or currently play with with Adrenaline Rush, Reach, Erika, Houston, Find Me, GutterdÄMerung, Big Time, and Miljenko Matijevic to name a few.
Michael Palace began working with Frontiers as a songwriter and guitar player for First Signal (featuring Harry Hess), Cry Of Dawn (with Goran Edman), Kryptonite (featuring Jakob Samuel), and Toby Hitchcock. The successful collaborations led to a worldwide record deal with Frontiers and the signing of his band and the future is now wide open.

Bulgarian heavy metal band Odd Crew have released their long-awaited "Shapes In Grey" video from the latest album Mark These Words (2015).It is the fourth video for the album.
"The experience of enacting this crossover between poetry, music and theatre was very exciting. The song itself is painfully straightforward – very guitar-driven and luscious in emotions and questions, while the mysticism of the immersed monastery complements the overall feeling of being nothing but small,’ said Leonid Yovchev, leading actor in "Shapes In Grey".
The video was shot at Jrebchevo reservoir and "is an emotional symbiosis between sound, text and image. The song, the idea of the video, the acting and the locations – all of them got entwined in a thrilling result which makes us think who we really are," added video directorOgnyan Kostovski.
The latest album Mark These Words was recorded by the Swedish producer Daniel Bersgtrandt (Meshuggah, In Flames, Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir) and the project was financed by Odd Crew fans in a crowdfunding campaign where more than $16 thousand were raised, which made it possible for Mark These Words and some new videos to be released.
Odd Crew is a metal band formed in 1998 in Sofia by Vassil Raykov (vocals), Vassil Parvanovski (guitar), Martin Stoyanov (bass and backing vocals) and Boyan Bonzy Georgiev (drums). The band was originally called Kaskadiori (translated: Stuntmen) and in 2000 they released their first album And It’s Rock Again, followed by On the Road (2005) and The River of Time (2006). On August 1st, 2008 the band celebrated their 10th anniversary with the new name of Odd Crew and the release of a new album – We Are What We Are. Following their 2009 European tour (Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, UK) Odd Crew released two new albums – A Bottle of Friends (2010) and Beyond the Shell (2012). In October 2015 the band released its latest album Mark These Words.

THE DEAD DAISIES' new studio album, "Make Some Noise", will be released on August 5 via SPV. The effort, packed with huge hooks, giant, intense guitar riffs and glorious, distinctive vocals, celebrates the kind of rock 'n' roll that has gone from strength to strength ever since it emerged in the early 1970s and that sweaty clubs, concert halls and stadiums the world over would be impossible to imagine without. Each of the joyously performed, perfectly crafted, melody-drenched 12 songs instinctively aims straight for the centre of the listener's autonomic nervous system, totally enveloping the heart and soul and compelling them to move to the irresistible rhythm.
The official video for album opener "Long Way To Go" can be seen below.
"There are lots of very good reasons why this kind of rock 'n' roll has never gone out of fashion," band members David Lowy (RED PHOENIX, MINK), John Corabi (MÖTLEY CRÜE, RATT), Doug Aldrich (WHITESNAKE, DIO), Marco Mendoza (WHITESNAKE, THIN LIZZY) and Brian Tichy (OZZY OSBOURNE, FOREIGNER) all agree; "Our songs are simply timeless, immortal, classic! That's why working with THE DEAD DAISIES is so much fun, and that's why the reaction is always phenomenal, no matter when and where this band turns up."
"I'm very pleased with 'Make Some Noise'," says Aldrich. "It was a very productive time spent in Nashville and New York! The record is a straight-up rock n' roll record. Very raw and punchy. We didn't do lots of overdubbing of the guitars which I loved...it's really got a good vibe like the days we spent writing and recording. I think it is a cool record that adds to an already cool catalogue they the band had prior. The best part is the guys are all friends and very cool to be working together again!"
THE DEAD DAISIES were formed by guitarist and songwriter David Lowy, whose keen instinct and clear vision has guided the recruitment of an amazing revolving lineup of renowned musicians since the band's inception in 2012. Initially, Richard Fortus and Dizzy Reed of GUNS 'N' ROSES, plus THE ROLLING STONES band members Darryl Jones and Bernard Fowler, as well as John Tempesta and Charley Drayton of THE CULT, were involved. Lowy has once again enlisted incredibly talented international stars to record "Make Some Noise". "For me as a vocalist, this kind of high-caliber lineup is an absolute dream come true," enthuses Corabi, continuing: "When you work with THE DEAD DAISIES, everybody is amazingly motivated to deliver top performances."
From "Long Way To Go" onwards, this album rocks hard right through to the very last note. Cross references from legendary bands from the past feature just as much as highly contemporary sounds and trendsetting directives. Compositions such as "Mainline" and "Last Time I Saw The Sun" bring to mind the likes of AEROSMITH and MR. BIG, while "Song And A Prayer", with its fluid guitar licks and anthemic chorus, is mightily reminiscent of GUNS 'N' ROSES. "Make Some Noise", the title track itself, is nothing less than a self-confident, tongue-in-cheek rousing rock statement, bound to be chanted over and over by euphoric audiences at this consummate combo's electrifying live gigs.
"Make Some Noise", which was superbly recorded and produced by Marti Frederiksen (AEROSMITH, DEF LEPPARD, MÖTLEY CRÜE, BUCKCHERRY) in Nashville in February and March 2016, contains ten originals plus two inspired new incarnations of THE WHO's "Join Together" and CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL's "Fortunate Son".
THE DEAD DAISIES, a must-see live act who have already toured with the likes of ZZ TOP, AEROSMITH, BAD COMPANY, LYNYRD SKYNYRD and DEF LEPPARD, among others, have lined up a U.K. and Irish tour in July in support of "Make Some Noise".
Black Star Riders frontman Rick Warwick recently released two solo albums. The electrifying When Patsy Cline Was Crazy (And Guy Mitchell Sang The Blues) and the beautifully acoustic Hearts On Trees were released as a double CD on March 4th via Nuclear Blast.
A new video for “Schwaben Redoubt”, from Hearts On Trees, can be seen below:
With one album, When Patsy Cline Was Crazy… showcasing his electric rock and roll side. The other disc, Hearts On Trees, veers towards the more tender stripped-back songwriting, influenced by both Americana and, more importantly, his Northern Irish roots.
Warwick comments: “Hearts On Trees and When Patsy Cline Was Crazy (And Guy Mitchell Sang The Blues) were written by myself and my good friend Sam Robinson, both albums depict our experiences of growing up and coming from the Greater East Belfast area, not only experiences that have happened to us but historical references and stories that have been told to us by friends and family... in saying that both albums translate those experiences on to a global scale that hopefully anyone geographically can relate to.”
The release boasts an array of acclaimed musicians with guests such as; Joe Elliot (Def Leppard), Damon Johnson (Thin Lizzy, Black Star Riders), Andy Cairns (Therapy?), Billy Morrison (Billy Idol), Nathan Connolly (Snow Patrol), Ginger Wildheart (The Wildhearts), Jake Burns (Stiff Little Fingers), Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses, The Dead Daisies).

Tired of waiting for the release of their debut album Sequins & C-Bombs, alt-harmony group The Lounge Kittens, have proffered their first video from the as yet undisclosed track listing. A tongue-in-cheek twist on AC/DC’s killer classic "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" sees the girls return to office jobs… as hitmen with a difference.
“The album doesn’t come out til September and frankly, we’re bored of keeping it all a secret” says Blue Kitten, Timia. “So we thought right, time to make some more videos – it’s been ages.”
And it seems there’s a lot more to come… “Whilst there’s some debate raging about which songs to release from the album and what would make a good single and blah, blah we decided we didn’t have enough to do so set ourselves the challenge of releasing a brand new video every month until the end of the year.” Zan Kitten (the Pink one) tells us.
“The videos are what the fans want. It’s what we’re best known for,” chimes in the little Red one, Jen “and they’re really fun to make! For example, this one we filmed over two night shoots, after working all day. But what’s more fun than hunting people through the streets of London armed with fistfuls of glitter!?!”
“We’ve wanted to do an AC/DC track for ages, the only question was which one?” enthuses Jen. “With so many bangers to choose from, 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap' was the shy one hiding round the corner, just to the side of some of the more well-known hits squeaking ‘pick me, pick me’ and it totally works as a Kitten track.” “It’s so much fun to sing live” says Timia Kitten “like a cross between a smoke-filled backroom, speakeasy and a good ole knees up round the Joanna.” Pre-order The Lounge Kittens album now via PledgeMusic.
Salt Lake City's Chelsea Grin have released a video for “Broken Bonds”, a song from their upcoming album and Rise Records debut, Self Inflicted, which is out July 1st. Watch the new video below. Pre-orders are now live at Merch Now and iTunes.

Bay Area natives and thrash metal band, Hatchet, have released an official music video for the track “Tearing Into Hell”, from their latest album, Fear Beyond Lunacy, available now via The End Records.
Says Hatchet's founding member, vocalist, and lead guitarist, Julz Ramos: "This song is the most aggressive track from our latest album, so as a band, we wanted the video to feel similarly dark and intrusive. As the mind behind the lyrics, I especially wanted to convey the subject matter of the song in no uncertain terms - that the most horrific of evil that exists commonly in our everyday lives; serial murderers hide among us in plain sight. Countless remain at large, even more are undiscovered, and some have yet to strike.
“Most of the images and clips in the video focus on the well-known killers. But their crimes have earned them a special place in what we consider Hell. And these people don't just go to Hell, they make a grand entrance, holding a very earned spot for eternity. They Tear Into Hell!"
Grammy Award-winning Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS have unveiled the music video for their current single, "Dark Necessities", from their upcoming new album "The Getaway", which will be released tomorrow (June 17) via Warner Bros. Records. The clip was directed by actress Olivia Wilde and features notable female long boarders Carmen Shafer, Amanda Caloia, Amanda Powell and Noelle Mulligan.
RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS frontman Anthony Kiedis stated about the band's decision to work with Wilde: "We received [her treatment] and it was very simple and it was about this dark and bruised side of these athletes, these female skateboard athletes and it was just easy and simple and we were trying to do simplicity." He added abut the experience: "I like it a lot. I like her a lot, I like the video a lot and I'd work with her again."
Wilde's only previous directing credit is a short film called "Free Hugs". Her acting resume includes roles on the TV series "Vinyl", "House" and "The O.C.", while her film credits include "The Lazarus Effect", "Her", "Tron: Legacy", "Rush", "The Change-Up", "Cowboys And Aliens" and many more.
CHILI PEPPERS bassist Flea told The Pulse Of Radio that "Dark Necessities" almost didn't become the first single. "I mean, I knew that was a good song," he said. "There was another one that was gonna be the first single and then we… Like, we already told the record company, 'Okay, we're gonna do this one,' and then we changed our mind and went to 'Dark Necessities'. But I'm glad we went with it. What I like about this record is that every song really occupies its own space, the songs don't repeat themselves, and that one was a great song. It's dynamic and it just feels great to play, you know. It has a real pull to it."
"The Getaway" will follows up 2011's "I'm With You".
Roadrunner Records group, Kvelertak, have released the official music video for “Nattesferd”, the title track from their new album, which arrived this past May.
The otherworldly clip - produced by Norwegian production company Bacon and directed by Jakob Marky - is streaming below. The video was filmed in Fårö, a Baltic Sea island off the south eastern coast of Sweden where Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman lived / died and made several films, among them Through A Glass Darkly (1961), Persona (1966), Hour OF The Wolf (1968), Shame (1968), The Passion Of Anna (1969), and Scenes From A Marriage (1972).
Marky, a recent winner of the prestigious After Bergman Award which allowed the possibility of filming on Fårö, commented on the video stating, "I wanted to make something circular, as the track has it’s never-ending guitars, coming back to haunt you. I very much liked the idea of filming science fiction on the same places that Tarkovsky and Bergman visited. I think both of them were very big fans of the golden triangle too, or so I heard.”
Recorded live in Oslo, Norway’s Amper Tone Studio, Nattesferd is produced by Kvelertak and mixed / engineered by Nick Terry (Lindstrøm, Turbonegro, The Libertines). It is the first of Kvelertak’s albums to be recorded in their home country of Norway.

Berlin, Germany’s Earth Ship have released a music video for “Read Leaves”, a track from their upcoming album, Hollowed, set to be released on June 24th via Napalm Records. Watch the new video below.
Behold the power of the riff in all shapes and sizes: It would be a serious understatement, even borderline ignorance to simply lump Earth Ship in with the rest of the sludge rock genre – a horribly abused and undefined tag.
Earth Ship was born in 2010 and present an intriguing mix of heavy metal, fuzzy stoner rock and some of the finest sludge to date. The band has already released three full-length albums and toured all across Europe and the UK. Now it’s time to take the next step together with their new home at Napalm Records.

"Safeguard Of Death":
"Valley Of Thorns" lyric video:
On Hollowed, the band once more gracefully tackle the soft yet stronger dynamic of bands like Kylesa and Crowbar, celebrating and crowning the whole thing with morbid melodies Alice In Chains would be proud of. Saturated with monolithic doom and hauntingly good!
Earth Ship states: "Musically and lyrically, hollowed is a dark and baleful journey through oceans of sludge and vast whisky-flooded valleys to the edge of time."
