Corners Of Sanctuary (COS) has officially released a new video for the song “Wrecking Ball”, from their recent album, Metal Machine, now available on Metalizer Records Germany in Europe and independently through the band website for the rest of the world.
Gguitarist Mick Michaels states: “We planned to include a heavier visual support for Metal Machine, more than we had done in the past with previous albums.Expect at least two more videos to follow in the coming months.”
The “Wrecking Ball” video, as with the previous one, was produced and directed by Philadelphia-area Indie artist Zen Say, who stated: "It's been a pleasure working with Corners of Sanctuary and sharing ideas across multiple mediums.”
"Wrecking Ball" incorporates the now public domain scenes from the 1936 British science-fiction film, Things To Come – an adaptation of H.G. Well’s story depicting a world at war. The original film was produced by Alexander Korda and directed by William Cameron Menzies. The music video is also laced with on location shots filmed with the band.
The video's message is centered on the horror and devastation brought on during such conflicts and the effects it has on every walk of life. "Though the clips of the movie are based on a fictional story, the reality of what war holds is all too real to simply dismiss," added Zen Say.
"Wow, holy freakin’ fudge pop intense," exclaimed lead singer Frankie Cross, who again finds himself the focal point of the video's imagery.
"This song captures the horror, patriotism and pride of war while the images convey a seriously, emotional landscape. The metaphor of the song will be clearly felt by some... like a wrecking ball”, stated lead singer Frankie Cross when asked about his take on the video's backdrop of war for the song. ”It's just so beautifully frantic... the true star is the production team," he added.
Corners Of Sanctuary is currently supporting Metal Machine with the Wrecking Ball Tour. A new crowdfunding page has been created to assist in supporting the band’s efforts and is now live, here.
Fans’ financial support is being gifted with several Official COS Metal Machine Merchandise Packages which include autographed photos and CDs, concert shirts, patches and supporters having their names listed on the COS website.

German epic melodic metal band, Human Fortress, have released a video for the track “Thieves Of The Night”, the title track of their new album, out on March 18th. The clip can be found below.
Two years after the group had returned to the style of their successful first releases from the early 2000’s with Raided Land – and also introduced new vocalist Gus Monsanto (ex-Timo Tolkki’s Revolution Renaissance, ex-Adagio) - Human Fortress continues right where they left off.
Songs such as the catchy title track, power metal hymns (“Rise Or Fall”, “Vicious Circle”) or the slightly modern - but not less epic “Thrice Blessed” will amaze every fan of the Hannover-based band. But Thieves Of The Night additionally could appeal very well to worshippers of Virgin Steele’s ‘80s/’90s classic releases, Kamelot and Avantasia.

ANTHRAX's Jack Bennett-directed video for the song "Blood Eagle Wings" can be seen at RollingStone.com. The multipart eight-minute epic is taken from the band's latest album, "For All Kings", which was released on February 26 via Megaforce in North America and Nuclear Blast in Europe.
ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian told RollingStone.com about "Blood Eagle Wings": "I think it's our masterpiece of a song. It's the biggest, coolest thing we've ever written."
Regarding the theme of "Blood Eagle Wings", Ian said: "Any great city, whether it's London, Rome, Paris, New York, Los Angeles — these cities are alive because of how many people were killed to make these cities what they are, how much blood was spilled over time."
According to music industry web site Hits Daily Double, "For All Kings", is likely to sell between 20,000 and 23,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The SPS figure is expected to be between 21,000 and 24,000.
SPS, a practice used by Billboard magazine, stands for "sales plus streaming," which includes album sales and converted track sales plus converted streaming data.
For those interested: 10 tracks sold equal one album sale (since $1.29, the cost for an individual track, multiplied by ten gives you $12.99, a common price for an album, and 1,500 streams is equivalent to one album sale.
ANTHRAX's previous album, 2011's "Worship Music", sold 28,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 12 on The Billboard 200 chart. The disc followed up 2003's "We've Come For You All", which opened with just under 10,000 units to debut at No. 122
ANTHRAX's U.S. tour with LAMB OF GOD came to a close on February 12 in Los Angeles, California.
Freedom! When Andragonia, the Brazilian band from São Paulo, went through internal changes two years ago, the goal was to enforce the liberty aspect. The order was changing focus and MO. Fearless of changing the musical direction and aiming to add its prog characteristics to Djent and Gothic, Thiago Larenttes (guitar and vocals), Ismael Omena (bass) and William Lopes (drums) present Oxygen, their new album, resulting from this label free mentality.
It’s a modern, dense, melancholic and full-bodied rock/metal. "Some people link our music to bands like Tesseract, Dream on Dreamer, Periphery, Animals as Leaders, Superior, Mudvayne and Darkseed. When we released the video of “By Your Side”, the second single which preceded the release of the new album, they even mentioned Korn. However, our goal is passing as much thrilling and positive energy as possible through our songs! Although they are kinda dense, we wanna pass love and good vibes through them," notes Thiago Larenttes.
Aiming for a more spatial, mathematic, dynamic, futuristic and modern sound, Oxygen comes enveloped by a theme that explores how excessive expectations surrounding people produce deceptions. "Even so, the lyrics show that most of the time it’s our own fault. We create expectancies over stuff. Relationships, work, and we will always get disappointed with someone," explains Thiago.
On this new album, all lyrics are aimed at a couple and link the deceptions and expectancies created. The story tells how they lived together in past lives and, at the end of each life, how they promised to do anything to find each other in the next one. One of the new tracks, "Smell Of January" has a video, streaming below.
"It’s about a lost love because the character fell in love for a person who was about to leave his world. Even knowing he had little time, he decided to do everything he could, because he knew that through her eyes he could see his own eyes," explains Larenttes. "Ideally, each person has its own interpretation. This is already happening with the ‘Smell of January” video. One fan commented on YouTube that the song helped him deal with the loss of his grandfather. Interesting that people listen to the songs as some kind of comfort and positive thinking," Thiago adds.
"Smell Of January" video:
Oxygen, the follow-up to Memories (2012) was recorded at Renaissance Studios (SP) and has release date set to the end of March when physical and digital pre-sale starts. The record has vocalist Bruno Paraguay (Eminence) guesting on "Good Enough".
"Galleon", the new video from the occult heavy metal outfit MIRROR, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's self-titled debut, which came out last November via Metal Blade.
The brainchild of bassist/diehard metal connoisseur and SATAN'S WRATH vocalist Tas Danazoglou, MIRROR was forged in fire following a chance meeting with London-based producer and accomplished drummer Jaime Gomez Arellano. The union ultimately led to the two embarking on a shared musical vision that encompasses a classic hard-rock/proto-metal sound with tasteful songwriting and musicianship. SATAN'S WRATH guitarist Stamos K. was next to join, his musical instincts and considerable production experience suiting the band's ethos perfectly. Vocalist Jimmy Mavromatis, with his operatic tenor, was added to the growing unit. The lineup was completed with the arrival of Los Angeles-based guitarist Matt Olivo whose infamy was earned as the co-founder of grindcore pioneers REPULSION.
The recording of MIRROR's self-titled debut began in London at Orgone Studios (GHOST, PARADISE LOST, CATHEDRAL) in the autumn of 2014, with Arellano handling production duties. The recording boasts strong melodic ideas with classic, heavy riffs inspired by the sounds of UFO, IRON MAIDEN, DEEP PURPLE and the like.
This April, MIRROR will support REPULSION at select dates in the U.K. In regards to these special performances, Tas Danazoglou comments: "We are very excited to play two shows supporting REPULSION. We will deliver pure, relentless heavy metal and hopefully many more shows will follow."
UK rockers Toseland - featuring James Toseland (vocals), Zurab Melua (Guitar), Ed Bramford (Guitar), Roger Davis (bass) and Joe Yoshida (drums) - are thrilled for the upcoming release of their sophomore effort, Cradle The Rage, this spring.
Due out in North America May 13th via Metalville Records, the eleven song opus follows the group’s powerful 2015 debut, Renegade, which has since gone on to sell well over 10,000 copies in the UK alone - proving this is a band who know how to rock a melody.
For Cradle The Rage, Toseland kept to the winning formula by bringing Toby Jepson (The Answer, Virginmarys, Little Angels) back on board to produce with the legendary Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Bryan Adams, Mötley Crüe) spearheading the mastering of the album.
Says James Toseland about the new album, “Cradle The Rage, as a title, is all about trying to control the frustrations of life we all go through. When things aren't going your way or you seem to be getting nowhere fast. I wanted a song you could sing to release that energy and frustration. All my lyrics are of real interest to me that I've discovered in my life. Whether it be through sport i.e. winning and losing or in life's roller coaster of situations that it throws at us.”
Being invited to play Download Festival, as well as being the opening act for The Darkness and Little Angels provided an incredible kick start to the band's career. UK headline tours followed, along with special guest slots with Status Quo and Reef, Calling Festival with Aerosmith and various appearances in Europe.
Having just wrapped up a February tour of Europe with Black Stone Cherry, Toseland will be setting back out for a headline run of the UK beginning March 13th through March 26th. Check the band website for a complete list of dates.

"Making Monsters", the new video from former MARILYN MANSON and current ROB ZOMBIE guitarist John 5, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Jonny Coffin and Matt Zane and contains live footage that was edited and directed by Zane.
"Making Monsters" will appear on John 5's new solo album, "Guitars, T!ts, And Monsters", due later in the year.
John has had an illustrious career collaborating with chart topping artists such as LYNYRD SKYNYRD, Ricky Martin, and Rod Stewart. John has performed on critically acclaimed world tours with Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie. Later, John ventured into the world of film score composing for Rob Zombie's "The Lords Of Salem". In 2004 he branched out into a successful solo career and has since released eight studio albums.
John recently released a video for the song "Behind The Nut Love". Originally recorded for his 2005 album "Songs For Sanity", this new version of the track was recorded with John 5's band, THE CREATURES (Ian Ross and Rodger Carter), and is available anywhere digital music is sold. The clip was directed by Matt Zane and shows John 5 sitting in a high-backed chair with a rare 1950 Fender Broadcaster, amazingly playing behind the nut to emulate the sound of a lap-steel guitar.
French progressive metallers NOVELISTS have released their debut full-length album, "Souvenirs", via Arising Empire/Metalville. The CD was mixed and mastered under the masterful watch of NOVELISTS bass player Nicolas Delestrade (BETRAYING THE MARTYRS) at NDSE Recordings and features guest appearances by Pierre Danel (KADINJA), Lotti Holz and Plini Roessler-Holgate (PLINI).
To commemorate the "Souvenirs" release, the band premiered their new music video for the album's title track.
Says the band, "Pavel's [Trebukhin, director] work is an amazing fit to our music. He manages to transcribe beautifully the emotions we're aiming to share in our music. It's been so easy to work with him and he always comes up with results even better than our expectations."

NOVELISTS was founded in early 2013 by brothers Florestan (guitar) and Amael Durand (drums), who quickly joined forces with the former A CALL TO SINCERITY members Matt Gelsomino (vocals), Charly Kelevra (guitar), and Nicolas Delestrade (bass). It was not later than April of that same year when NOVELISTS released their first single, "Twenty Years". From there, the group would go on to release five more singles and numerous videos along the next ten months, culminating in the release of their demo EP.
While working with full force on the production of their first full-length album, the demand for live shows had arisen leading the group to perform at events such as Euroblast festival, Ghostfest and Damage Fest, before hopping on their first tour ever with I, THE BREATHER through Europe at the end of 2014.
Sarke’s fourth album, featuring the icy and grim screams from Darkthrone’s lead vocalist Nocturno Culto, is truly the grandest and most dynamic album from the band to date. Bogefod presents nine tracks that stretch from lingering atmospheric doom to thrash to black metal and technical metal - all within the realms of suberb quality. Check out the new video for “Alternation” below.
It is a highly conceptual album spinning around the evil walking dead Torolv Bogefod from the norse classic Eyrbyggja saga. After an ugly death Torolv breaks out of his tomb. Dead, yet undead, he terrorizes the villagers and causes deaths and devastations. This viking story is a 1000 years old.
Several retrospective musical elements enhance the underlying story, as the warm sound of a 100-year-old guitar colours the otherwise icy and grim atmosphere of Nocturno Culto’s screams. In addition to this, the ballad in the track “Dawning” in between all the ripping and chilling moments throughout the album enriches the contrast and contributes to telling the story’s true and folky nature.
Sarke is in a sense a band formed by legends of the darker metal genre, with the pre-mentioned Nocturno Culto on vocals, Steinar Gundersen (Satyricon) on guitar, Thomas “Sarke” Bergli (Khold, Tulus) on bass and Anders Hunstad (El Caco) on keyboards. Together they have crafted an extremely immersive album surely to draw the listener into a historical and dark universe in a way no one ever have before.

“Blood of Men”
“Barrow of Torolv”
“Alternation”
“The Wicked’s Transient Sleep”

"By The Blood", the new video from Texas heavy rockers DROWNING POOL, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "Hellelujuah", which came out on February 5 via eOne Music. The follow-up to 2013's "Resilience" was recorded with renowned producer Jason Suecof (AUGUST BURNS RED, DEICIDE, DEATH ANGEL).
DROWNING POOL singer Jasen Moreno recently told I'm Music Magazine about "Hellelujuah": "Me and the rest of the guys definitely share [the] opinion [that it is the heaviest DROWNING POOL album since 2001's 'Sinner'] and it was intentional; we went into the studio with that mind set and frame of mind to make the heaviest album that we could and still be within the identity of DROWNING POOL. Obviously, we did not want to alienate any of the fan base by going full out crazy, but we tried to make it the most aggressive and heavy thing that DROWNING POOL has ever done. I hope everyone else feels that way too because that was the goal of this record."
Moreno also spoke about DROWNING POOL's collaboration with Suecof. He said: "It's the first time that any of us have worked with him. We had an early conference call with him and we just vibed; he really spoke the language. It really came across in the conversation that he was going to be able to help us capture what we were going for. We didn't have to try and bring him around to our way of thinking because he was already there. He's worked with a lot of heavy bands and he knew exactly what we were looking for and he knew how to get us where we wanted to be. So it was a no-brainer to work with him, and I think the proof is in the CD. We got pretty damn close with what we wanted to capture and he had a lot to do with that, so thank you, Mr. Suecof. At times, I wanted to strangle the dude and it wasn't because he's a jerk or anything like that. He's a very passionate guy and he was fighting for the record just as much as we were fighting for it. I think you can hear that passion in this record from everyone, not just us but from Suecof as well. He really gave it his all and we’re really grateful to have worked with him on this."
Regarding the "Hellelujuah" album title, Moreno said: "That came from our drummer, Mike [Luce], and he is notorious for his coffee rants, whether it's when we're writing or rehearsing or whatever. He gets on these rants and says all this really wild stuff. One day, we were tracking drums and he was all jacked out on coffee and he started throwing out all of these names. 'Hellelujah' happened to be one of them and we all pounced on it. It's a celebration and obviously a play on the word 'hallelujah' with a DROWNING POOL twist. It has that heavy metal bitterness, if you will; we're not trying to champion any über-positive messages on this record, so 'hellelujah' seem to sum it all up. It summed up all of that bitterness, anger and venom. It's been a rough ride for DROWNING POOL, you know?"
Las Vegas-based metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH have released the official music video for their new single "My Nemesis". The video concept was conceived by the band and realized by renowned director Nick Peterson who previously helmed the group's award-winning videos for "Coming Down" (2012) and "Wrong Side Of Heaven" (2014).
"My Nemesis" is the third single from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's current album, "Got Your Six", and has already climbed to Top 20 on the Active Rock radio chart.
The clip's multi-faceted storyline explores the hard and painful choices everyone has to face one time or another in life. The video is focused around the pain and grief involved in overcoming and moving on from emotionally entangled difficult situations — following various scenarios from teenage runaways to drug abuse and domestic violence. Peterson powerfully depicts this impactful message on film, similar to the band's "Wrong Side Of Heaven" video in 2014. That clip was intended to increase knowledge about the plight of veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and the crowd-funding campaign to support the cause raised over $ 225,000 at the time.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH guitarist Zoltan Bathory states: "In life, everyone has a nemesis… it can be anything… a self-defeating thinking pattern, a bad habit, an addiction, an adversary… something or someone that puts you in an impossible scenario, where you are presented with a fork in the road. Sometimes there is no other choice but making a hard choice. You can give up and just suffer the situation, or you can use your pain to overcome it, as pain is truly the wind in the sails of change.
"We wanted to present a story about moving on, a story that probes and questions compassion and loyalty. Those are beautiful notions, but remember you have to be loyal and fair to yourself as well, so will you sacrifice yourself for another or will you live with the guilt that you didn't."
In support of the video and the song;s message of overcoming our struggles, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is encouraging fans to share their own "Nemesis" on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by completing the phrase — "#MyNemesis is ________ and I will #OVERCOME". Search the hashtag, comment and support your fellow FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH fans.
Fans can visit fivefingerdeathpunch.com/mynemesis to see all of the fan responses and are encouraged to send a positive message to those that resonate with them personally.
Speaking about "My Nemesis", FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH guitarist Jason Hook said: "'My Nemesis', that was the second riff-type guitar lick that I set out to make — some sort of signature, identifiable guitar part. And I like it; it's kind of got a wacky little sound and it's instantly identifiable. I thought it was one of our strong tracks of the bunch at the time."
Added FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH drummer Jeremy Spencer: "It was strong vocally, but we thought… [Singer Ivan Moody] was nailing it, nailing it, nailing it, and then when it came to the tagline of the song, he kind of took a left turn lyrically and it kind of threw us. I think it was called 'Dark Genesis' or something like that, initially. And we were, like, 'Dude, you're talking about relationship stuff all the way up to this point, and then you take this drastic left turn lyrically.' It kind of confused us. So we kind of ended up meeting in the middle and ended up with 'My Nemesis'."
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH will team up with SHINEDOWN for a series of co-headlining shows this May, in conjunction with all of their performances at the biggest U.S. festivals of the year (see below for complete touring schedule).
"Got Your Six" entered the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 2, selling 119,000 copies in its first week of release. This was the band's third straight No. 2 debut, following both volumes of "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell" in 2013. "Got Your Six", however, did rack up the band's best single sales week ever, surpassing the 112,000 copies sold of "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell, Volume 1", in its first week.
Each of FIVE FINGER's previous albums has been certified gold in the U.S. for sales of 500,000 copies or more.
"The Four Wise Ones", the brand new video from Finnish masters of melancholic metal AMORPHIS, can be seen below. The clip was filmed in late 2015 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands during the band's European tour with NIGHTWISH and ARCH ENEMY.

AMORPHIS guitarist Esa Holopainen previously stated about "Under The Red Cloud": "The artwork is done by Valnoir Mortasonge. Valnoir is well known from his works for LAIBACH, PARADISE LOST, WATAIN, BEHEMOTH and many more. It was a great pleasure to work with him as he [captured] the lyrical topics really well. Colors and details describe the music perfectly."
He continued: "'Under The Red Cloud' is produced by Jens Bogren, who did amazing job with the album. There's a lot's of elements in the songs but every note and element is in perfect harmony so that the result is fucking heavy and melodic. All I can say is that 'Under The Red Cloud' will be in my personal Top 3 AMORPHIS albums that we've ever done."

Due to this change and because of adding a more wider spectrum of influences he also decided to change the name to a more personal moniker, The Pete Flesh Deathtrip. This is a solo project with the purpose of adding different guest and session members with every new release. No live shows have been made yet, but there are plans to bring this to a stage in the near future.

The official live video for the song "Through It All" from Lancaster, Pennsylvania's FROM ASHES TO NEW can be seen below. The clip was filmed during the band's arena tour with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, PAPA ROACH and IN THIS MOMENT.
"Getting to tour with FIVE FINGER and PAPA ROACH was absolutely surreal!" says FROM ASHES TO NEW vocalist Chris Musser. "The fact that we got to capture what that experience was like, performing for all these amazing people across the U.S., for the live 'Through It All' video was the icing on the cake."
"Through It All" is taken from FROM ASHES TO NEW's debut album, "Day One", which was released on February 26 via Better Noise Records.
Says FROM ASHES TO NEW vocalist Matt Brandyberry: "We have been sitting on this record for a while now so having to keep it to ourselves has been torture but also exciting.
"We could not be more proud of how 'Day One' turned out and we can't wait for everyone to share our excitement!
"There is going to be material everyone is familiar with and there are the new songs that people have not heard but will show how much we've grown since the release of the first EP."

Former CALIFORNIA BREED guitarist Andrew Watt recently released his debut solo EP, "Ghost In My Head", via John Varvatos Records/Republic Records. The digital EP includes the song "High", for which you can see the official music video below. "Ghost In My Head" paves the way for Watt's blues-infused, guitar-driven rock prowess. Converging between a robust wall of distortion and a distinct vocal howl, the EP proves potent, powerful, and passionate with a surprise around every corner. The 24-year-old Watt is no stranger to the rock scene, having received critical acclaim from rock icons including Jason Bonham and Chad Smith of the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, who lent his skills to the percussion heard on the EP. At a 2015 performance, Watt was joined onstage not only by Chad Smith but rock and roll photographer and director Danny Clinch (who performed on harmonica). Born in New York and now based in Los Angeles, Watt conjured up a striking and soulful sound after touring and writing with numerous artists across genres since the age of 16. 2013 saw him co-found CALIFORNIA BREED with Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) and Jason Bonham (FOREIGNER, LED ZEPPELIN), release the group's incendiary full-length debut, and tour with Slash and many others. Watt is also a producer, songwriter and musical director, working with artists across multiple genres, including Justin Bieber and Skrillex, Kygo, DJ Snake, Cody Simpson, SNBRN and more. A devout CALIFORNIA BREED fan, John Varvatos asked to hear Andrew's solo music and offered him a deal in 2015.

On February 25th, Edguy frontman Tobias Sammet's metal opera band Avantasia performed in the preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest for their native Germany. The goal was to be chosen to represent their country later this year in Stockholm, Sweden for the main Eurovision event. Avantasia placed 3rd out of the 10 acts on the bill.
Sammet posted the following update after the winner, Jamie-Lee Kriewitz, had been declared.
"Hey folks, thanx for your votes. It was great fun! Germany is not a rock ’n roll country, but that girl has got great talent. I wish her all the best for her future. I’ve met a lot of great vocalists here. Thank you for your support, and now we’ll get ready for the world tour! Can’t wait to present you our new stage production. Cheerz!"
