Arizona-based thrashers FLOTSAM AND JETSAM are in the midst of a Pledge Music campaign to rerecord their album, No Place For Disgrace. The band has now released a two-minute clip of ‘Dreams Of Death’ and it can be heard at PledgeMusic.com

"You asked for it, No Place For Disgrace 2014 re-recorded with fresh tracks. All ten classic songs, in your face! In a period of rising metal bands in 1988, Flotsam And Jetsam’s second release effort No Place For Disgrace emerged on the metal scene. A highly anticipated follow up to the classic Doomsday For The Deceiver album, NPFD was destined to sit alongside its predecessor on the shelf of the two highly reviewed albums deemed as classics in the band s repertoire.

Classic indeed considered among many thrash fans or that era and this present era. Many fans recently have been hearing classic recording from bands of that era being remixed or re-mastered to keep in synchronization with the audio quality and technology of today’s era.

It is of great pleasure to be able to introduce and invite new generations and old, not a remix or a re-master but a full reproduction recording of this classic recording in its entirety that feature the original lineup of the band after Jason Newsted’s departure.

During a recent interview with BraveWords, former Flotsam And Jetsam bassist Jason Newsted (ex-METALLICA, VOIVOD) - who wrote some of the material on the original No Place For Disgrace - revealed that he has been helping the band with the re-recordings.

Following the recent proclamation that defunct metalcore pioneers BLOODLET will make a special one-time appearance — reuniting for the A389 X Bash in January — the label also confirmed two special pending releases from the band in 2014. First up, A389 will release an unreleased BLOODLET demo, recorded in 1994. The track, called "Embrace", was recorded with several other songs prior to the release of the band's debut LP, "Entheogen". A track which ran astray from the others recorded in the same sessions — "Shell" and "Cheribum" appeaews on the band's "Shell" seven-inch single, and then re-appeared on their "Eclectic" singles compilation LP — BLOODLET's early, completely inventive style of ominous, swamp-born metalcore is relived once again in "Embrace". The lost track was discovered by hardcore webzine XStuckInThePastX and shared the masters with A389 Recordings, who will now release an official seven-inch version of the track in January 2014. The "Embrace" seven-inch will tie directly into band's first performance in over ten years, with their one-time reunion at the A389 X Bash the weekend of January 17-18 in Baltimore, Maryland, joining the reunion of INTEGRITY's "Systems Overload" lineup, ALL OUT WAR, INFEST, HAYMAKER, NOISEM, FULL OF HELL, EMPIRE OF RATS and tons more. In addition, A389 is collaborating with Victory Records on a special reissue of BLOODLET's landmark debut LP, "Enthogen", which Victory initially released in early 1996. The new edition will be released in a deluxe 2xLP in the coming months pending the completion of the remastering sessions, currently going down at Audiosiege. BLOODLET vocalist Scott Angelacos remains busy with his present bands JUNIOR BRUCE — which is working on the follow-up to its "The Headless King" LP, released in 2012 by A389 — and "Hollow Leg", which just released "Abysmal" on Last Anthem Records. Further details on the impending "Embrace" seven-inch singl, the 2014 2xLP re-release of "Enthogen" and all other BLOODLET-related actions will be leaked in the coming weeks.

Trondheim, Norway-based progressive metal band RUDHIRA have released their new single/video, for the track 'Bodies'.

'A Burden To Carry', a new song from American dark metallers DEATHWHITE is now streaming below. The song was recorded and engineered by Callan Carnahan, and is the band's lone recorded output for 2013. Deathwhite has plans to record a 5-song EP in the winter of 2014. Details forthcoming.
Formed in 2012 from several holdovers of well-established metal bands, Deathwhite's sound is heavily influenced by KATATONIA, mid-90's PARADISE LOST, early ANATHEMA, and melodic metal, creating a sonic landscape without boundaries. The thread of melody, darkness, and memorable songwriting is the primary aim of the band, while giving proper acknowledgement to the acts so vital in creating the dark metal sound before them.

German metallers BRAINSTORM are now expected to release their new album, Firesoul, in April, later than the originally announced date of March 2014.
The band has entered the House Of Audio studios with Achim Köhler (who worked on their classic albums Soul Temptation and Liquid Monster) a few weeks ago.

Vocalist Andy B. Franck comments: “Hi there! We’re still recording parts for our new album Firesoul. Without being overconfident we can say that we are very happy and proud to record one of our best albums so far. A "Kill The Power", the video the title track of the new album from the Welsh "ragga metal" act SKINDRED, can be seen below.

Swedish hard rockers FATAL SMILE have digitally released a new single, "Like A Rockstar". The song is taken from the band's upcoming fifth album, "White Trash Heroes", due in April 2014.

"We really think this is going to be our best album so far," the group said in a statement. "Expect the hardest, in-your-face FATAL SMILE album yet, recorded with huge balls and heavy sounds from hell!"

FATAL SMILE's latest album, "21st Century Freaks", was released in North America in early 2013 via Spectra Records. The CD, which was made available in Europe in May 2012 via FS Records/GMR Music Group, was produced by Mr. Y, engineered/recorded by Philty and mixed by the two of them together. Swedish progressive death metallers DESCEND will release their second full-length album, "Wither", on January 24, 2014 via Inverse Records.

DESCEND was formed in 2003 and the current lineup dates back to 2008. After three demos, the debut album, "Through The Eyes Of The Burdened", was released through Supernova Records in May 2011. The album was well received and supported through numerous live performances including festivals in Germany, Canada as well as the renowned Metaltown festival in Gothenburg in the summer of 2012. The band has been self managed from the start, and dedicated work has attracted fans from many different countries.

Combining melodic harmonies, acoustic passages and death metal riffs, DESCEND manages to effortlessly swing back and forth from tranquil, atmospheric playing to a barage of apocalyptic death metal.

Shortly after they rearranged their lineup, they recorded their first album, Rise Through The Flames. The group has just released the first single from their debut album, a song named 'Fear'. The album itself will be released in January 2014.

Norwegian hard rockers MALICE IN WONDERLAND have revealed the cover artwork and tracklisting of their new album, The Royal Brigade, which will be released on December 10th via Crank Music Group. The record, mixed by John Fryer, will be made available as a CD and a digital download.
"The new album is filled with catchy, killer tracks that we are positive will please both new and old fans" says frontman Chris Wicked. "This record is extremely varied and I think the diversity in our song writing is something that make Malice In Wonderland interesting to people. Montreal, QC wreck n'roll metal band TRAINWRECK ARCHITECT have released their new video, for 'Dream Pariah', which is one of ten tracks from their new album, Traits Of The Sick, released on November 12th.



The self described “wreck n’ roll” band have put together a 10-track head banging party featuring an eclectic mix of thrash, classic metal and rock dealing with the idea of humans being human and never willing to be completely satisfied.

"Our first album has all the traits of a sick album! We are really proud to release it! !We had a good time in studio recording gang vocals with friends. From a guitarist's point of view, hearing how Jeff Waters (ANNNIHILATOR) would perform a solo over one of our track was a really inspiring experience! We are confident that old-school metal fans as well as extreme metal fans will have a blast when listening to it!", comments guitarist Renaud Baril.

The Defiled recently announced their first headline tour of the UK in support of their latest album, Daggers. Named the No Place Like Home tour, they will hit the road from February 8th - 18th, bringing with them two very hot support acts from the US; BUTCHER BABIES and THE KILLING LIGHTS (featuring Michael Vampire of VAMPIRES EVERYWHERE!).

“Finally we are coming home to headline!” says The AvD. “It's been ages since we've done a proper headline tour of the UK - in fact last time was 2011 - and now we get to do it armed with a whole album's worth of new songs to play! Since Daggers came out we've had some great tours supporting in the US, Europe and even the UK but there's nothing quite like playing a full set to our own crazy fans. We've got some fucking cool support bands with us too, and we're playing London on Valentines day so shit is gonna get sexy.”

Butcher Babies’ are looking forward to their return to the UK, as vocalist Heidi states: “We've been itching to get back to the UK since our 2012 Download festival appearance, so we were thrilled when we were asked to join The Defiled on their February tour.”

The new full-time project fronted by ex-MORBID ANGEL bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker, WARFATHER was initially announced in mid-2012, but has remained otherwise virtually a mystery until now. As the finishing touches are currently being handled on their debut album, now confirmed to bear the title "Orchestrating The Apocalypse", this band sees Tucker back to fronting a death metal outfit after over a decade since his departure from MORBID ANGEL, and over two years since his participation as a vocalist and writer in the well-received Nader Sadek project. On the impending attack, Tucker states, "I am stoked about WARFATHER and our first album!
