Video: PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS Perform PANTERA, SUPERJOINT RITUAL Songs In New OrleansMulti-camera video footage of Philip Anselmo (DOWN, PANTERA) and his solo band THE ILLEGALS performing PANTERA's "Death Rattle" and SUPERJOINT RITUAL's "Fuck Your Enemy" on August 22 at Tipitina's in New Orleans can be seen below. The clip was filmed by Mike Holderbeast and the Cement Level Studios crew.
2014 will mark the 20th anniversary of PANTERA's seventh album, "Far Beyond Driven", and the band is planning to re-release a special edition for fans. According to The Pulse Of Radio, Anselmo chatted about the album with Artisan News saying, "Considering its contents, it is the heaviest record to come in at No. 1, and yes, there is a fucking goddamn re-release coming up. I don't know anything, really, about it other than, yes, it's gonna re-released with live footage from said show, but I can't name the show yet, because I think it's a fight between two different shows. And you never know. I'm trying to think of specialties or whatnot that will be included as well."
Anselmo went on to discuss the band's success saying, "The chemistry within PANTERA... In the early days, they were very guarded about what I said here and there. And then, finally, by 'Vulgar Display Of Power', it was, like, 'Just let me handle the lyrics.' And then by 'Far Beyond Driven', I was saying anything I fucking wanted to fucking really fucking sing about, man."
Anselmo's first-ever solo album, "Walk Through Exits Only", sold around 8,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 35 on The Billboard 200 chart.
Produced by Anselmo and Michael Thompson, and recorded over the past couple of years at Philip's New Orleans studio, Nodferatu's Lair, with his band THE ILLEGALS — guitarist Marzi Montazeri (ex-SUPERJOINT RITUAL) and José Manuel Gonzales — "Walk Through Exits Only" is abrasive, aggressive, anthemic and 100% Anselmo. 1

MOTÖRHEAD's LEMMY On His Health Issues: 'I'm Paying For The Good Times'In a brand new interview with The New York Times, MOTÖRHEAD's Lemmy Kilmister was asked how he is feeling after recently canceling a European tour due to his health issues.
"I just feel really down," Lemmy said. "I'll never get a job again. I'm paying for the good times, I suppose. It's a mixture of all the things I ever did — and I did plenty."
On the topic of whether he has had to stop drinking, Lemmy said, "I've already given up smoking. I drink wine and that's it."
Lemmy also spoke about whether he reconciled with his father, whom he once called a "nasty little weasel."
"No, he died nine years back," Lemmy said. "We didn't run through the cornfields to each other in slow motion."
Asked why he thinks a lot of heavy-metal giants have had very problematic relationships with their fathers, Lemmy said, "You could say that about anyone, really, couldn't you? With heavy metal, I suppose it's because of the look. Parents don't like you looking like this and going out and disgracing the family."

RIOT To Carry On As RIOT V; New Singer AnnouncedRIOT's classic "Thundersteel" and "Privilege Of Power" lineup reunited in 2009 and delivered a critically acclaimed album, "Immortal Soul", via major metal heavyweights SPV/ Steamhammer and Avalon/ Marquee. A successful tour with performances on the prestigious 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise and appearances at Sweden Rock and Metalway festivals solidified RIOT's long-sought-after return a success, but success doesn't come without tragedy.
The band's journey has never been easy, with personnel changes and the untimely deaths of frontmen Guy Speranza, Rhett Forrester as well as the passing of long-time founding guitarist Mark Reale who finally lost his lifelong battle with Crohn's disease early last year, and with Tony Moore battling his own demons and health issues, RIOT, like Johnny, are back again!
Through the storm of life's obstacles, Mike Flyntz, Bobby Jarzombek and Don Van Stavern are joined by powerhouse vocalist extraordinaire Todd Michael Hall (JACK STARR'S BURNING STARR, REVERENCE) and are ready to raise the flag in honor of the RIOT legacy of music and our fallen bandmates and heroes, as well as the fans who have been demanding RIOT for years and years to come! With the blessing of Mark's father Tony Reale, the remaining members prepare for the next phase, the fifth phase if you will, of RIOT.
Mark always used to say that there were always different phases of RIOT throughout the years continuing on with a new singer, sound, logo as well and each having a few records under their belt, Phase One: Guy Speranza, Phase Two: Rhett Forrester, Phase Three: Tony Moore, Phase Four: Mike DiMeo and now Phase Five: Todd Michael Hall! A new album is in the works for a summer 2014 release and reissues are due on Sony, EMI and Metal Blade.
According to a press release, "Mike, Don, Bobby and Todd are inspired as never before and still at the top of their game, and the new CD promises to be a true successor to the legacy of 'Thundersteel', 'Privilege Of Power' and 'Immortal Soul'. Mark and the RIOT legacy will forever shine on and as long as the people demand it we will keep coming back with great music for years to come.
"Please welcome Todd Michael Hall and RIOT V!"

MUNICIPAL WASTE, Ex-D.R.I. Members Join Forces In BATTankcrimes Records has announced the signing of BAT. An unholy union of MUNICIPAL WASTE guitarist Ryan Waste on bass/vocals, former D.R.I. drummer Felix Griffin and VOLTURE guitarist Nick Poulos, the Virginia/Texas punk metal marauders invoke the spirits of VENOM, HELLHAMMER, MOTÖRHEAD and DISCHARGE with their "Primitive Age" demo EP. Featuring five tracks of filthy, fuck-all, debauchery, "Primitive Age" is a primal outpouring of molten metal riffs, confrontational "Kill 'Em All" angst and enough vocal venom to level a nation. "Primitive Age" track listing:
01. BAT02. Total Wreckage03. Code Rude04. Rule of the Beast05. Primitive Age BAT was forged in fire when Ryan Waste met Griffin in Austin at a MUNICIPAL WASTE gig in 2007. Sharing the same musical tastes and metal/punk backgrounds, the two immediately hit it off. Griffin hadn't performed with D.R.I. since the late Eighties and itched to play again. "We eventually spoke of doing a project together," relays Ryan. "Originally I was going to play all the guitars, bass and vocals and it would be a studio thing. We sat on this idea for years and humored it every time I'd pass through Texas. It seemed too exciting to not make this a real live band so I asked Nick from our current heavy metal band VOLTURE if he wanted on board as a permanent guitarist and it was a done deal. I would have my hands full singing and playing bass as it was."
BAT, which was the original working title before VOLTURE, seemed to suit the style they were going for so it stuck. "Nick and I cooked up a few raw demo songs, I laid down some basic garage band drums and we sent the tracks to Felix," says Ryan. "With Felix living in Austin and Nick and I in Richmond, Virginia, it had to be arranged like that to start. Over this last summer Felix flew in town for a week and we banged out those songs with live drums and wrote a couple more on the fly. With only a few practices under our belts we recorded all the music in one day on reel-to-reel analog tape. It was a challenge to not over analyze and nail down all live takes. It was indeed primitive. We wanted a raw sound to begin with and this turned out to be the ultimate way to achieve it." The "Primitive Age" EP is available as a "pay-what-you-want-including-free" download at the official BAT Bandcamp page. Tankcrimes is also offering a "Primitive Pack" preorder bundle which includes a double sided T-shirt, embroidered patch, die-cut sticker and cassette tape all for a thrifty $20 plus shipping. 1

BLEEDING THROUGH's Trailer 'Totaled' In Road AccidentCalifornia hardcore/metal outfit BLEEDING THROUGH was involved in a road accident on the way to the final show of the band's U.S. tour with WINDS OF PLAGUE, OCEANO, GIDEON, and SWORN IN.
Says BLEEDING THROUGH in a posting on the band's Facebook page: "Well, boys and girls, this happened again. Good news is no one is hurt and other than a totaled trailer we are fine. We loaded all the gear in the van and are trying to make it to Albuquerque [for the November 23 concert]."
BLEEDING THROUGH plans to hit South America in early 2014 and will conclude its career with a string of West Coast shows.
In a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET, BLEEDING THROUGH frontman Brandan Schieppati said about the group's decision to disband: "We have been a band since 1999, and many of us just had life catch up with us in the way of marriages, kids, businesses and other endeavors. We can no longer dedicate what we need to to keep BLEEDING THROUGH going.
"Personally, I feel doing this band in a part-time fashion is not what this band is about and and feel like we have always been an all-or-nothing band. With that being said, and because we have established a worldwide following over the last 14 years, we want to give us and those people one more chance to share in this music together."
BLEEDING THROUGH's latest album, "The Great Fire", was released on January 31, 2012 via Rise Records. 1

Says the band: "Skilled in both the higher and lower vocal regions, we think Lars is an addition as well as an extension to the HEIDEVOLK sound.
"Having already rehearsed with Lars in the HEIDEVOLK rehearsal caves, it is safe to say that the vocal combination of Mark and Lars will blow you away!
"Now, after six months, our lineup is complete again and we feel refueled and ready to take on our next challenge: a new album, tentatively scheduled for mid-2014. Along with that, expect us to explore and invade familiar and new territories and clubs for a full force HEIDEVOLK live attack!"
Adds Lars: "I'm happy and honored to be among the ranks of HEIDEVOLK. Being both a listener and admirer of their music, I was thrilled to hear that they chose me.
"I can't wait to be on stage and in the studio with the band. Furthermore: I don't consider myself to be an exact replacement for Joris, but I hope to be a worthy successor as vocalist of HEIDEVOLK."

LANFEAR To Enter Studio In JanuaryGerman power metallers LANFEAR will enter the studio on January 17, 2014 to begin recording their seventh album. The drums for the follow-up to 2012's "This Harmonic Consonance" will be recorded at Dreamsound Studios in Munich with engineer Jan Vacik. After that, the guitars, keyboards and bass will be tracked in the band's home studios.
Regarding the sound of the new LANFEAR material, the group states: "The new tracks are, of course, melodic, powerful, heavy, catchy, sophisticated, commercial, fast, slow and thrashy and we reinvented the wheel with these tracks. You know that phrase-mongering, don't you?"
"This Harmonic Consonance" was released in February 2012 via Pure Steel Records. The group previously described the effort as "the heaviest LANFEAR album until now. [It contains] some pretty fast tracks but also the very first doom song in our history! The end result will blow your heads off! You can definitely achieve a natural and authentic production without sounding as if the recording sessions were held in a garbage can!"
LANFEAR's fifth album, "X to the Power of Ten", came out in August 2008 via Locomotive Records.

Original JUDAS PRIEST Singer AL ATKINS' HOLY RAGE: 'Waste Away' Performance VideoVideo footage of HOLY RAGE, the U.K.-based band led by original JUDAS PRIEST frontman Al Atkins, performing the song "Waste Away" at the Public in West Bromwich can be seen below.
HOLY RAGE's self-titled debut album was released in October 2010 via Z Records.
Atkins has released two albums with ATKINS MAY PROJECT, a collaboration with Christian guitarist and music artist Paul May: 2012's "Valley Of Shadows" and 2011's "Serpent's Kiss".
Atkins is the co-writer of several PRIEST songs which are included on the band's first two albums, "Rocka Rolla" and "Sad Wings of Destiny", both of which eventually went gold. Atkins co-penned the heavy metal classic "Victim of Changes", which was a combination of Rob Halford's song "Red Light Lady" and Atkins' own "Whiskey Woman". He also co-wrote "Winter", "Never Satisfied", "Dreamer Deceiver" and "Caviar and Meths".
In 1989 Atkins released his debut solo album, "Judgement Day", to great acclaim. But it was "Heavy Thoughts" and "Victim of Changes" (the latter being his collaborative album with ex-JUDAS PRIEST drummer Dave Holland) that brought him strong sales and critical acclaim around the world.
JUDAS PRIEST bassist Ian Hill penned the foreword to Al Atkins's autobiography, titled "Dawn of the Metal Gods: My Life in Judas Priest and Heavy Metal". The book, which was written with Neil Daniels — a freelance rock writer and heavy metal fan who befriended Atkins during the writing of Neil's book "The Story Of Judas Priest: Defenders Of The Faith" (Omnibus Press) — was released in 2009 via Iron Pages.

Video: PAUL DI'ANNO, BLAZE BAYLEY Perform IRON MAIDEN Classic In HelsinkiFan-filmed video footage of former IRON MAIDEN singers Blaze Bayley and Paul Di'Anno — who are currently on the road together — performing MAIDEN's theme song, "Iron Maiden", on November 14 at Tavastia in Helsinki, Finland can be seen below.
Bayley and Di'Anno previously toured together in Russia and Australia/New Zealand last year. Asked how the trek came about, Blaze told Metal-Rules.com, "I had put it off for years as once before it had been suggested, but it didn’t feel right at the time. Also, when I had my full-time band, it was exclusive. No one in the band could do anything else, and that included me. There was a lot of things that I wanted to try, but I couldn’t do it as I was committed to staying with my full-time band. This offer came up, and I had done a couple of festivals on the same bill as Paul, and it was offered as a co-headliner, not as a support, switching the headliner every night. Paul was also OK with that and it also wasn't just all my MAIDEN stuff — it was a lot of my stuff from my own albums — so I could choose my setlist, to a certain degree, and also include my popular MAIDEN material also. It felt good to do it and say yes! It was also in Russia, a very difficult place to get into. The fans are great but it's very difficult to get in touch with them. Sometimes even to let them know that you are playing! I thought that it would be an opportunity for me, but on my last trip, there was poor promotion; I hardly played to anybody. I thought this time it would be different as all the shows were full, reaction was great and I played to a lot of new people. These people knew about me from IRON MAIDEN but had never seen me live. I came away from the tour after playing to my target audience and new people who had never previously seen me live; it was really good, Paul and I both enjoyed it."
Bayley added, "[Di'Anno is] a very funny guy with a dry sense of humor and we gave each other plenty of space, as we are both experienced with different opinions of IRON MAIDEN. It worked well." 15

Video: MEGADETH Performs At GEORGE JONES Tribute ConcertMEGADETH played at the tribute concert honoring the late Country Music Hall Of Famer George Jones last night (Friday, November 22) at Nashville, Tennessee's Bridgestone Arena.
MEGADETH was joined by Jamey Johnson for a performance of Jones' song "Wild Irish Rose".
"I am honoring George's belief in the veterans," said MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine, "which is the best way I know to show respect to his legacy, and to his wife and family."
Mustaine admitted the song "may be an unexpected choice," given Jones' extensive catalog of hits. But he said the 1998 single is "a perfect example of Jones' way of reaching inside every one of us, and making us aware that we all have pain."
MEGADETH was part of an extensive, and primarily country music, lineup for the event, dubbed "Playin' Possum! The Final NO Show". Kid Rock and R&B star Sam Moore also performed at the concert, along with Charlie Daniels, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, and many, many more.
Video footage of the performance as well as the pre-show rehearsal, including a short interview with Mustaine, courtesy of Nashville's Fox 17 can be seen below. (Note: The MEGADETH segment begins around the two-minute, 16-second mark.) 1

TODD LA TORRE-Fronted Version Of QUEENSRŸCHE: 'Ad Lucem' Mini Movie Posted OnlineThe Todd La Torre-fronted version of QUEENSRŸCHE recently filmed a "mini movie," with the tracks "Spore", "Midnight Lullaby", "A World Without" and "X2" providing the score to a 10-plus minute story, dubbed "Queensrÿche: Ad Lucem". The film was created by Veva Entertainment Co. with director Daniel Andres Gomez Bagby and producer Marco De Molina and was filmed on location at Central City Stages in Los Angeles.
You can now watch the "mini movie" below.
Commented Todd: "We decided to take a different approach with this video, which is comprised of four pieces of music from our latest self-titled release, 'Queensrÿche'. It's a conceptual mini-movie music video that invites the audience to scratch beneath the surface a bit, rather than the usual 'chewed food' that so many are used to being fed. We really wanted to deviate from a performance type of video so the music and story-line could be the main focus." He added: "The overall theme of the song 'Spore' is one that deals with personal demons, relationship struggles, career pressures, personal/professional morals and ethical dilemmas. These are issues we all face on some level and the video touches upon them all.
"'Midnight Lullaby'/'A World Without' deals with the loss of a mother during childbirth, leaving a father as a single parent and struggling to move forward through the turmoil.
"'X2', though it opens up our album, provides for a nice outro to it all. The end result is a roller coaster of emotion in an effort to find a healthy resolve.
"Given our history, we feel that this multifaceted conceptual video, along with a great cast of actors to suit, will really resonate with our fans."
QUEENSRŸCHE's new, self-titled album sold around 13,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 23 on The Billboard 200 chart. The record arrived in stores on June 25 via Century Media Records.
"Queensrÿche" marks the debut release from the lineup comprised of Todd La Torre (vocals; ex-CRIMSON GLORY), Michael Wilton (guitar), Parker Lundgren (guitar), Eddie Jackson (bass) and Scott Rockenfield (drums). The drums for the album were recorded at London Bridge Studios in Seattle, Washington with producer James "Jimbo" Barton — the man who engineered and mixed the band's classic 1988 LP, "Operation: Mindcrime", and its 1990 follow-up, "Empire", and co-produced 1994's "Promised Land". The rest of the music and vocals were laid down at several different facilities on the West Coast. The cover artwork was created by Craig Howell, who has previously worked on designs for "Star Wars", SLIPKNOT and "American Idol", to name a few.

It's the reason I wanted to be in a band, so stepping up and helping out Record Store Day is what METALLICA call a 'no-brainer.'"
Added METALLICA frontman James Hetfield: "For me, it was when my daughter wanted a turntable. I was, like, [shouts] 'Yes!' I took her to Amoeba Records in San Francisco. Video: TODD LA TORRE-Fronted Version Of QUEENSRŸCHE Performs In Hampton BeachFan-filmed video footage of the Todd La Torre-fronted version of QUEENSRŸCHE performing on November 16 at Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire can be seen below.
The Todd La Torre-fronted version of QUEENSRŸCHE recently filmed a "mini movie," with the tracks "Spore", "Midnight Lullaby", "A World Without" and "X2" providing the score to a 10-plus minute story, dubbed "Queensrÿche: Ad Lucem". The film was created by Veva Entertainment Co. with director Daniel Andres Gomez Bagby and producer Marco De Molina and was filmed on location at Central City Stages in Los Angeles.

DOWN: More Pro-Shot Footage Of New Orleans ConcertProfessionally filmed video footage of DOWN performing two more songs — "Hail The Leaf" and "Stone The Crow" — on May 31, 2013 at the House Of Blues in New Orleans, Louisiana can be seen below. The footage was shot by Mike Holderbeast and the Cement Level crew.
Guitarist Kirk Windstein recently left DOWN and was replaced by Bobby Landgraf, the band's former guitar tech who was previously in GAHDZILLA MOTOR COMPANY, a 1990s outfit also featuring Jason McMaster (DANGEROUS TOYS, WATCHTOWER), and HONKY.
"I couldn't feel more blessed," Landgraf, 48, said in an interview. "Phil could've gotten anyone to play guitar, but I've been jamming with them during soundchecks, so they know we can play together."
"It's really a dream come true," added Landgraf. "It's what you're working for all those years."
In a recent interview with the "Devil Horns" podcast, Windstein stated about his decision to leave DOWN: "My life's changed a lot in the last year. With being married, I wanna concentrate a lot more on my family first and foremost. And DOWN, with us getting older and Philip's voice and now DOWN has to take a fairly amount of days off in order for Phil to rest his voice properly, which is totally, absolutely understandable and well respected. It's just, for me, I like to go out 15 shows in a row and get it done. With DOWN, a lot of the [touring], especially internationally, is fly dates and things like that and there's so many days off. And really, for me, to be blunt, on those off days, man… I mean, show days are great, I have a responsibility, of course I love every second being on stage, but on those off days, I have absolutely nothing to do and it just ends up turning into drinking too goddamn much and wanting to not be there… The guys could see I was kind of not really getting into it, they could see me on the off days hitting the sauce harder than I should have been — no doubt about it."
He added: "It was kind of a mutual thing — no hard feelings or anything whatsoever like that. There's absolutely zero drama, zero gossip that I know of, at least from my side. I doubt there's any from their side. I've spoken to the guys. In fact, Bobby Landgraf from HONKY, that's taking my spot, is a very good friend of mine; he teched for me for awhile and he's been teching for Pepper [Keenan, DOWN guitarist]. I spoke to him the other day and he can use my rig that I used with DOWN for [DOWN's appearance at the Housecore Horror Film Festival] coming up, and he's actually gonna come and me and him are gonna jam a little bit on some tunes. He's got a few questions. He's an amazing guitar player, but it's hard to get every little lick down of somebody else's stuff, so he asked me if I could pop by and jam with him a bit. I said, 'Absolutely.' Anything I could do to help out would be great."
DOWN entered Anselmo's New Orleans studio, Nodferatu's Lair, on October 7 to begin recording a new EP that is tentatively due in early 2014. 3

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE To Release 'Raising Hell' Next MonthA brand new song from Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE entitled "Raising Hell" was premiered on the November 18 edition of BBC Radio 1's "Rock Show" with Daniel P. Carter and will be released digitally on December 10.
The bandmembers, who only released their latest album, "Temper Temper", in March of this year, recorded and produced the track themselves at Metropolis Studios in between finishing touring America and before their U.K. arena tour, where they will debut the track live for the first time ever.
Says BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE frontman Matt Tuck: "'Raising Hell' is a beast of a tune which is definitely taking the next chapter of BULLET into a more intense, thrasher style of metal. We're super happy how it came out, especially as it was self-produced and can't wait to get the ball rolling on the next album. [It's] gonna be great to get back to an edgier heavy sound. Look out!!"
The official "Raising Hell" audio stream is available in the SoundCloud widget below.
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE drummer Michael "Moose" Thomas told Billboard.com in a recent interview that the band has "already started writing for the next album, which is completely different from [this year's] 'Temper Temper'."
"It's definitely more of a step towards our first two records," Thomas said. "We always like to keep changing our records and our sounds and stuff. I think you have to change, otherwise it gets boring for us and the fans get bored. Look at all the great bands through rock history; they changed on all their albums — especially METALLICA. Their albums have always changed, and they're the biggest metal band ever. So we just want to keep changing and get to another level each time out."
Tuck told the U.K.'s Rock Sound magazine, "We're actually going to start working on the new record before the (U.K.) arena dates (in early December). We've got (producer) Terry Date coming over from America, we'd like to work with him, he'd like to work with us so we're gonna have a bonding session, write a couple of songs and see how it goes."
Date is known for working with heavier acts like PANTERA, WHITE ZOMBIE and DEFTONES, while BULLET's previous producer, Don Gilmore, is known for more commercial fare like LINKIN PARK.
Tuck said about hiring Date, "When we worked with Don, he was very much focused on chopping parts out and making things concentrated, now we want to work with someone who has worked with bands like PANTERA and DEFTONES, where that mentality was probably not in the game at all. We want someone to go 'it's not big enough' or 'it's not metal enough' and keep us focused on our talents."
Tuck told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that he had no regrets about the band exploring its more melodic side on its last two albums. "The big thing that we've learned is, like, you're not gonna please everyone all the time," he said. "As long as you do what you want to do and the band is happy and you feel you haven't given away your integrity, you know, I don't really care if people go, 'Oh, it's not metal enough, it's not heavy enough.' It's like, that's not what we are."
The singer said that the band already has "four or five song ideas" ready to go, adding, "It's riff after riff after riff after riff so far. We're very much concentrating on musical ability, we're showing off basically! We pulled back a bit from it on the last couple of records, on this one if we do work with Terry Date, I think it'll be a no-holds barred display of what we're about."
"Temper Temper" entered The Billboard 200 album chart at No. 13 earlier this year. The latest single from the disc is "Dirty Little Secret".

NASHVILLE PUSSY To Release 'Up The Dosage' In JanuaryAmerican rockers NASHVILLE PUSSY will release their new studio album, "Up The Dosage", on January 21, 2014 in North America, in Germany on January 17, 2014 and in the rest of Europe on January 20, 2014 via Steamhammer/SPV. It will be made available as a limited digipak edition (including two bonus tracks and a poster), double gatefold LP edition with colored vinyl, standard version and download.
According to a press release, "Up The Dosage" picks up seamlessly where their 2009 release "From Hell To Texas" left off. And what is more: the quartet's five-year hiatus seems to have done frontman Blaine Cartwright (vocals, guitar) and Ruyter Suys (guitars) good — all 13 new songs (plus two bonus tracks) sound like they were catapulted into to the public from a fountain of youth, rocking in typical PUSSY style. Blaine Cartwright is rightly proud of and unmistakably happy about the new material. "None of the previous NASHVILLE PUSSY albums have been as diverse and at the same time consistent," he said. "Everything sounds even bigger and better, yet raw and authentic through and through. This is our 'Back In Black'!" NASHVILLE PUSSY came together in 1996. Ever since, the band has been performing a strenuous annual gig marathon, touring with acts like LYNYRD SKYNYRD, REVEREND HORTON HEAT and ZZ TOP as well as playing festivals like Wacken Open Air. Classic albums such as "Let Them Eat Pussy" (1998), "High As Hell" (2000), "Say Something Nasty" (2002) and "From Hell To Texas" (2009) have caused an international stir, and their single release "Fried Chicken And Coffee" earned the band a Grammy nomination in the late Nineties in the category "Best Metal Performance." 1

International territories will release the film on DVD/VOD and digital platforms day and date with the U.S. or very shortly thereafter. Picturehouse released "Metallica Through the Never" in North America on September 27, 2013. The film stars METALLICA, one of the most popular, influential rock bands in history. In the music-driven, 3D motion picture event, filmmaker Nimród Antal immerses audiences in a bracing, raw and visceral cinematic experience with spectacular live performance footage of METALLICA's most iconic songs — created exclusively for film — combined with a bold, narrative story featuring imagery drawn from the band's trailblazing iconography. Dane DeHaan portrays Trip, a young roadie sent on an urgent mission, during the METALLICA's roaring live set in front of a sold-out arena. The film features dazzling pyrotechnics, the most elaborate live-performance stage ever built, state-of-the-art 3D photography captured on up to 24 cameras simultaneously and pioneering and innovative sound mixing utilizing a celebrated and award-winning audio team from both the film and music worlds.
"Metallica Through The Never" took in just $3.2 million at the box office in three weeks of release after costing $18 million to make, with the band putting up all the money for the project.
The band filmed the bulk of the movie at two concerts in Vancouver in the summer of 2012, using a $5 million stage show specially constructed for the production.
In order for "Metallica Through The Never" to be profitable, it has to make at least double its production and marketing budget back at the box office, since theater owners take up to half of the money from tickets. So the movie would have to earn $36 million to break even. 5

Ex-SKYLARK Singer KIARA LAETITIA: 'Fight Now' Video ReleasedKiara Laetitia, Italian rock singer, writer, model and actress and former frontwoman of the symphonic rock band SKYLARK, has released a video for the the title track of her new EP, "Fight Now". The clip was directed by Lyda Patitucci and Andrea Fortis and can be seen below.
The "Fight Now" EP was written, arranged and produced by Laetitia and VIRGIN STEELE frontman David DeFeis, who took a break from his numerous engagements with VIRGIN STEELE to work with Kiara. The effort, which features a cover version of VIRGIN STEELE's classic "Victory Is Mine", was recorded and mixed at The Hammer Of Zeus studios in Long Island by DeFeis while Ryan Smith (AC/DC, IRON MAIDEN, JOE SATRIANI, BEYONCÉ) took care of the mastering duties at Sterling Sound in New York City.
"This work is dark yet melodic and positive at the same time," says Kiara.
"I've been through one of the toughest moments in my life and I came out of it as a new person — stronger, I should say — and this is how the idea for 'Fight Now' came about. It's probably the most positive song and lyrics I've ever written in my entire life!
"We must never give up 'cause we just have one life and we have to make the best of it in any way we can. We gotta fight for what's important, for existence itself… That's the message."
As for the cover version of "Victory Is Mine", Kiara explains: "It's one of my favorite tracks from VIRGIN STEELE and I thought it was the right conclusion for this EP.
"Like I'm saying, 'I've been through a lot, now I'm positive about the future 'cause 'Victory Is Mine' if I want it.'
"All the bad moments in life show us that they'll pass, that we can be victorious in the end." 3

SCREAMS OF ANGELS Featuring Ex-FIFTH ANGEL And HEIR APPARENT Members: Debut Album Details"Into The Warzone", the debut album from the U.S. power metal act SCREAMS OF ANGELS, is scheduled for release on December 27 via Skol Records. The CD is decribed in a press release as "a collection of high-energy metal anthems such as its title track, a fast-paced homage to Marvel comics The Punisher, the galloping epic 'Cycle Of The Moon' and the snarling metal monster 'Eyes Of The Serpent'."
"Into The Warzone" — like all other Skol Records releases — will be distributed in North and South America via Shadow Kingdom Records.
The album's title track is available as a free single and can be downloaded from here.
The "Into The Warzone" cover artwork was painted by Michal Oracz — the most famous Polish author of RPG and board games (including the bestseller Neuroshima), who recently also worked with bands such as CRYSTAL VIPER, NITRO, and who painted artwork for the ANVIL tribute album.
"Into The Warzone" track listing:
01. Anthem02. Eyes Of The Serpent03. Cycle Of The Moon04. Insomnia05. Into The Warzone06. Idol Machines07. The Portrait08. Screams Of Angels09. Sins Of The Fathers10. The Face Of Evil11. Goodbye In the midst of an extraordinary career as drummer for multiple heavy metal legends such as FIFTH ANGEL, HEIR APPARENT and NIGHTSHADE, Jeffrey McCormack was thrown a curveball. It was suggested that Jeffrey hum some melody lines on demo material he had been working on with Seattle guitarist Craig Church. It was immediately and overwhelmingly decided that Jeffrey would become the lead vocalist for the band. Once the material had solidified, they recruited Jeffrey's longtime friend, Kai Chinn, to take over the drum duties, followed shortly after by bassist Anthony Rivera, rhythm guitarist Rollie Fisher, and former HEIR APPARENT bandmate Op Sakiya on keyboards, all veterans of the historic Seattle heavy metal community. Though the band seemed complete, Church became increasingly busy with his other musical endeavors, including guitar duties with Pamela Moore ("Sister Mary" from QUEENSRŸCHE), so he resigned his post. Enter the brilliant Alan Nesbitt on lead guitar, and the band was ready to bring its energetic brand of melodic power metal to the masses! SCREAMS OF ANGELS then wowed audiences with its live shows, opening for such legends as LOUDNESS, LYNCH MOB, SAXON and WHERE ANGELS SUFFER (featuring Randy Piper and Chris Holmes of W.A.S.P.), and they received worldwide acclaim through reviews of the demo recordings.
