Song titles set to appear on The Compulsions new CD include ‘Hellbound Babies’, ‘Silly Li'l Woman’, and ‘House Of Rock’, the latter of which was inspired by shuttered New York nightclub Don Hill's.

Comments The Compulsions frontman Rob Carlyle: "Like our other records, there'll be plenty of dirty rock 'n' roll on this new one plus a few musical twists and turns to keep you guessing. You'll hear all kinds of influences: funk, punk, blues, rockabilly and this time around, there's even a little Indian flavor on there."

In addition to Carlyle, The Compulsions feature Richard Fortus on guitar and Frank Ferrer on drums, both from GUNS N' ROSES, as well as Sami Yaffa of HANOI ROCKS and NEW YORK DOLLS fame on bass.

After a successful European tour supporting HELLOWEEN and GAMMA RAY and a series of performances in Brazil, Brazilian band SHADOWSIDE is thinking of the follower their most fruitful album to date, “Inner Monster Out”, considered by Roadie Crew magazine one of the most important releases of Brazilian heavy metal history.

The band has declared on several interviews that they are working on ideas for their new album. "We've been talking about this new material since the Hellish Rock tour and reknowed producer Fredrik Nordström is already aware of our intention of working with him again," said guitarist Raphael Mattos.

Vocalist Dani Nolden highlighted the band's growth. "We've played a lot of shows, over 60 on this last tour, we've grown more mature and I believe we'll come up with something even better."

Former DIO guitarist Rowan Robertson filled in for Craig Goldy at the October 26 DIO DISCIPLES concert at M15 in Corona, California as Craig had a prior commitment in Russia.

In the late 1980s Robertson heard that Ronnie James Dio was looking for a new guitarist. He sent a tape to the record company Phonogram. After six months of waiting, he got a reply that stated that at that moment they were not interested in him. At the encouragement of his friend and fellow guitarist Sean Manning (HURRICANE) the tenacious Robertson then contacted the DIO fan club who then asked him to send his demo tape to them.

Robertson, who was 17 years old at the time, got a great response from DIO after receiving the demo through the fan-club channels. In late January or early February 1989 Robertson was flown to Los Angeles for an audition with DIO. He was auditioned twice. Immediately after the second audition he was invited to join the band. The press-release for the addition of Robertson to DIO was sent out on July 18, 1989 and the press was invited to meet the newest DIO guitarist on July 20, 1989 at Oliver's Pub in New York City.

The first DIO album Robertson started working on with DIO was "Lock up the Wolves". These sessions included Jimmy Bain, Vinny Appice and Jens Johansson. The band had already begun writing and recording when Jimmy Bain and Vinny Appice were suddenly excused from the band. They were replaced with Teddy Cook and former AC/DC drummer Simon Wright.

"Lock up the Wolves" was released in 1990, and the band embarked on a tour in support of the album.

Robertson stayed with DIO until Ronnie James Dio rejoined BLACK SABBATH in 1991.

Dio and Robertson had been writing songs for an album to be released in May 1991 which ended up being shelved. When the DIO band was put on ice, Robertson started work on an instructional video for guitar players. It was released on Star Licks in July or August 1991. He then teamed up with vocalist Oni Logan (ex-LYNCH MOB) and drummer Jimmy Paxson (from TRIANGLE) and began to write and record on an album together for Atlantic Records.

BOSTON's new studio album, "Life, Love & Hope" will be released on December 3 via Frontiers Records. More than a decade in the making, the new album features 11 tracks replete with the classic and beloved BOSTON sound, as well as the latest in the evolution of Tom Scholz' musical artistry.

In 1976, BOSTON burst onto the music scene with their eponymous best-selling debut album and never looked back. With over 17 million copies sold, BOSTON's hits included "More Than A Feeling", "Peace Of Mind" and "Smokin'" — rock staples that are still in heavy rotation today.

Their second album, "Don't Look Back", was another chart-topper that confirmed their place in rock history, followed by "Third Stage", which hit #1 on the charts, with the top single of 1986, "Amanda". With over 31 million albums sold to date, BOSTON's music has stood the test of time, as evidenced by live BOSTON audiences that spans generations.

"Life, Love & Hope" includes lead vocals from Brad Delp and prodigy Tommy DeCarlo, as well as Kimberley Dahme, David Victor, and songwriter Scholz himself. The new album features tracks that embody BOSTON's trademark guitars, harmonies, and immaculately-crafted sound. "I intentionally stayed close to the early BOSTON style on some of the songs, even using the same amps and instruments; on others I let my imagination run wild," says Scholz.

KISS unveiled its brand new stage show this on June 1 at the opening concert the European leg of their "Monster" world tour in Stockholm, Sweden.

"Monster", the 20th studio album from KISS, sold 56,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart.

KISS' previous CD, "Sonic Boom", opened with 108,000 units back in October 2009 to enter the chart at No. 2. This marked the band's highest-charting LP ever.

KISS has notched nine Top 10 albums, according to Billboard.com. Its previous highest-charting set was 1998's "Psycho Circus", which debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 110,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group's other high-charting sets include 1975's "Alive!" (No. 9), 1977's "Love Gun" (No. 4) and 1992's "Revenge" (No. 6).

According to a posting on MERCYFUL FATE guitarist Hank Shermann's Facebook page, Shermann and fellow MERCYFUL FATE guitarist Michael Denner recently got back together to play the band's "Melissa" album. A video of the session — which took place at Denner's apartment in Copenhagen, Denmark — will be released on October 30 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the LP.

MERCYFUL FATE will always be remembered for their unquestionable mark on the history of metal, with their new innovative sound, complex arrangements, memorable melody, and their influence on bands that later took the genre to new heights, according to Wikipedia.

In 1998, METALLICA paid tribute to MERCYFUL FATE by recording a medley of classic MERCYFUL FATE songs on the album "Garage Inc." Entitled "Mercyful Fate", the medley included parts from "Satan's Fall", "Curse of the Pharaohs", "A Corpse Without Soul", "Into the Coven" and "Evil".

Lars Ulrich of METALLICA (a fellow Dane) played drums on a new version of "Return of the Vampire" on the "In the Shadows" album, which came out in 1993.

MANOWAR have announced their headlining performance at the Magic Circle Festival 2014, due to be held on July 25th and 26th at Suvilahti Open Air in Helsinki, Finland. This will be the first Magic Circle Festival in Finland ever.
Celebrating Manowar's worldwide metal community, the festival is hosted by different countries and has previously taken place in Germany and Slovenia, where it was attended by metal fans from more than 35 nations.

"We are very excited to bring the Magic Circle Festival for the first time ever to Finland," said promoter Hardi Loog. "We are going to have a fantastic festival, with Manowar headlining with their special Kings Of Metal 2014 anniversary show, plus more bands and lots of other entertainment for an unforgettable metal experience!"

In their headlining anniversary show Manowar will perform the entire Kings Of Metal MMXIV album, a brand new special version of their hit album, Kings Of Metal that will be released in spring, along with a Best Of set of other immortal metal hymns in a completely new stage production.

On October 22nd, vocalist SEBASTIAN BACH checked in from the studio where he is working on a follow-up to his Kicking & Screaming record from 2011:

Bach has since posted the message below on Facebook following some fan feedback:

"A lot of complete idiots are on the internet.

Fact #1: I do not use Auto Tune. I don't even know what it is. My sound man uses delay and reverb on my voice. Just like Rob Halford (JUDAS PRIEST) on Unleashed in the East. I dig Halford's sound. If you have a problem with delay, or reverb, complain to Rob.

Fact #2: I do not use ProTools in a live situation. I do not know of any singer who uses Pro Tools live. Pro Tools are used when recording albums.

What you are hearing in this video is exactly this: a live performance. With me making a CD out of this audio, I went into the studio and stood still and sang, fixing some parts of the song where I am running around a stage the size of a football field. In other words, I made a CD that you could listen to as well as watch. Like every live CD that I personally own.

The internet is such a fucking joke. Idiots bitch and moan and comment under YouTube cellphone clips and say 'This doesn't sound like the record.' Then, when you make an actual record, the comments are 'This sounds too much like the record.' Oh well. This page is for people who enjoy rock n' roll music. Mikee Goodman of SIKTH and PRIMAL ROCK REBELLION fame recenty revealed details of his new band, OUTPATIENTS. The lineup features Yuuri on vocals, Mikee W. Goodman on vocals, Kieron Pepper on bass/keys/samples, Charley Olsen on guitar and Will Romain on drums.
After selling out their first two shows, Outpatients decided to stream a sample of a song with some live footage as visuals ahead of their first London headline show at Camden’s The Black Heart venue on Wednesday, October 30th, with THE ONE HUNDRE in support.

The band recently posted their first music video, for the song 'Throw Rocks': “The 'Throw Rocks' music video was mainly recorded on one cold day, in December 2012", explains Mikee. "Will, our drummer found this barn. It was falling apart, in total decay. A tree was growing through the bricks, and we even had debris falling on us throughout the shoot... But this was perfect for what we wanted, where we felt we should be, for the vibe of the song. After filming there, I edited and kept on adding new layers. The song and the visuals really compliment each other. I am really proud of it, we all are. I actually think SikTh fans would be into this band too, cos of the dual vocals and frantic nature, but this is very much out there on its own, in terms of style and sound."

Over the past nine years, Vancouver, BC’s TRIBUNE has been progressively combining its myriad of influences into a genre-shattering whole and etching away at a sound all its own. Now, the band’s efforts have culminated in their third full-length record, Tales, set for release October 29th via their indie label Corpse Corrosion Music, which is available for pre-order here.
The nine-track concept album has been inspired by the writings of some of the world’s most renowned authors, including H.P. Lovecraft, H.G. Wells, Homer among many others, but the result is strictly Tribune. London-based blackened death metallers LVCIFYRE will release their second full-length album, entitled Svn Eater, on January 21st via Dark Descent Records. Lvcifyre signed with Dark Descent last year for the release of Svn Eater on vinyl, CD and digital formats. The album's title track is now streaming below:

Karisma Records have premiered the title track from the upcoming album from Norwegian prog rockers AIRBAG. Titled The Greatest Show On Earth, the six-track album comes in at just over 50 minutes and will be available on November 4th as a standard jewel case CD and a limited edition vinyl replica style CD, as well as a double vinyl gatefold in both black and limited edition white version. The album will also be available digitally.

'The Greatest Show On Earth':

According to a press release, The Greatest Show On Earth sees Airbag continue to pull the listener into their world and bring out in them a range of emotions by creating cinematic pictures with their use of atmospheric sounds. Airbag’s lyrics explore the growing sense of alienation and distrust that the individual feels when confronted by society and authority, whilst at the same time being manipulated and misled into believing that everyone is in control of their self-absorbed lives. This is an exploration that is accompanied by a sonic experience that ranges from massive walls of sound, to ambient textures and soulful soundscapes. .

A follow up to 2009’s Identity and 2011’s All Rights Removed, both also released on Karisma Records, it has taken 18 months of painstaking work on the part of Bjørn Riis (guitars, keyboards, backing vocals, bass, co-producer), Asle Tostrup (vocals, keyboards, programming, producer, graphic design), Henrik Fossum (drums), Jørgen Hagen (programming, keyboards) and Anders Hovdan (bass), together with engineer and co-producer Vegard Sleipnes, to perfect the sound on the band’s third full-length album. There is a rougher edge to The Greatest Show On Earth and some heavier parts than their previous releases would suggest, but the classic Airbag sound is still present, and the quality and musical craftsmanship that marks the band’s work are very much in evidence, bringing this new release to a whole new level.

On November 19th, Eagle Rock Entertainment will release the Special Limited Edition 6DVD set of QUEEN's Live At Wembley Stadium – 25th Anniversary Edition, Queen Rock Montreal, On Fire: Live At The Bowl, and Live In Rio. [



Exclusive to this package, Live In Rio features the band performing at the Rock In Rio festival in January 1985. Dazzling 250,000 fans, the setlist features such favorites as 'Seven Seas of Rhye' and 'Liar', while spotlighting five songs from The Works, which they were supporting at the time.

Live at Wembley Stadium – 25th Anniversary Edition was originally released as a separate DVD in the US on March 12th, 2013, and features two sell-out shows at London’s famed Wembley Arena in 1986. This DVD includes the bonus film The Magic Tour, which features interviews with Brian May and Roger Taylor filmed in 2011, where the members reflect on this 1986 tour.

Queen Rock Montreal, which was filmed in 1981, was the group’s only concert to be shot on 35mm full cinema format film (they were the first band to do so). Originally titled, We Will Rock You, this film was first launched at the Cannes Film Festival in May 1983. North America followed suit in September 1984, making Queen Rock Montreal the first commercially available film of Queen in concert. This was originally released on DVD on August 3rd, 2007.

On Fire – Live At The Bowl, which was re-issued on DVD this past May, features Queen in the midst of their 1982 Hot Space Tour. Plucked from over 60 sell-out concerts in the world’s biggest arenas, this show includes a second disc with bonus interviews, a photo gallery, and additional performances from Tokyo and Vienna.

All the greats are on full display in these concerts: 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'We Will Rock You', 'Somebody To Love', 'Under Pressure', 'We Are The Champions', 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love', 'Another One Bites The Dust', 'Who Wants To Live Forever', 'Radio Ga Ga' and many more.

Queen were, indeed, “champions” of the arena concert experience, and this 6DVD is a brilliant document of that, showing four different occasions where the band executed live brilliance.

Brazilian classic metal group HAZY HAMLET has released trailer featuring audio samples from their upcoming album, Full Throttle, which is scheduled to be released on November 16th via Arthorium Records.

The album cover artwork is signed by veteran Brazilian illustrator Celso Mathias, who worked with the group before in its Forging Metal debut. The painting presents Norse god Odin once more, but this time riding a motorcycle version of his horse Sleipnir, transmitting a message about "carpe diem". A post-apocalyptic landscape intends to recall the listener to wars and mankind's path to degradation. Although the album will be released primarily in CD, the illustration was painted in gatefold format, as the band intends to release a vinyl version in the future.

All tracks were recorded and produced by Hazy Hamlet in its own Bigorna Studio and singer Arthur Migotto was responsible by mixing and mastering processes. Line-up is the same which has been promoting Forging Metal album: Arthur Migoto (vocals), Julio Bertin (guitar), Fabio Nakahara (bass) and Cadu Madera (drums).

Tankcrimes has announced the release of a split 12" between California's favorite gore-sworn death metal deviants EXHUMED and Virginia hardcore thrashbangers, IRON REAGAN, who feature within their crossover ranks Tony Foresta (MUNICIPAL WASTE), LandPhil Hall (Municipal Waste/CANNABIS CORPSE), Ryan Parrish (ex- DARKEST HOUR), Mark Bronzino (MAMMOTH GRINDER/ANS) and Rob Skotis (HELLBEAR).

The split will offer up a total of eight battering tracks of “highspeed fuckcrush”, two of which find Exhumed delivering soul-smearing covers of MINOR THREAT's ‘Seeing Red’ and NEGATIVE APPROACH's ‘Ready To Fight’.

Florida death/doom Metal band, DOOMSILLA has just released the first track off their demo album titled, ‘Corpse Of The Blackened Sun’ to the masses. Doomsilla features members of GENERICHRIST, SEROCS, VILE, MONSTROSITY, SKINTOMB,HUMAN REJECTION, CYSTIC DYSENTERY and BANDWHORE.

Reactivated US death metallers MORTA SKULD’s classic 1993 debut opus, Dying Remains, has been reissued by Peaceville Records. This edition, marking 20 years since its initial release, has been fully remastered with the process overseen by the band, and the expanded booklet features additional content including rare/previously unseen photos.

Morta Skuld’s Dave Gregor comments about the reissue: “We are excited to announce that our first album Dying Remains will be available through our original label Peaceville. It's been 20 years since it first was released, and after listening to the music and reliving the moment we had to start re-learning some of those songs and to celebrate what we have recorded.
