ALEXISONFIRE Releases 'Complicit' SingleALEXISONFIRE has released a new track, "Complicit". Produced by the band, longtime friend Karl Bareham (CITY AND COLOUR), and mixed by Grammy Award-winning Jacquire King (TOM WAITS, KINGS OF LEON, MODEST MOUSE), the track comes on the heels of "Familiar Drugs", which marked the band's first new music in almost 10 years.
Says vocalist George Pettit: "'Complicit' is about recognizing the unfair advantages that we are afforded as white, heterosexual males. It's about rejecting regressionist ideas of racism, misogyny and hetero supremacy. It's about accepting that there is no freedom and no future in a world that is not inclusive."
Also available is a standard black seven-inch vinyl with a limited pressing of a translucent red variant randomly inserted throughout stock quantities. Along with the seven-inch vinyl, ALEXISONFIRE will have a new "Complicit"- inspired t-shirt designed by graphic artist Jeremy Dean, best known for his "Wonders Of Black Flag" designs.
ALEXISONFIRE is set to begin a tour next week, with shows kicking off in London, United Kingdom on June 1 followed by stops in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto. One of two dates at each The Wiltern in Los Angeles, Terminal 5 in New York and Budweiser Stage in Toronto are sold out. Joining the band are featured support acts CHASTITY and CHILD’S POSE in London, ANGEL DU$T and DRUG CHURCH in New York City and DRUG CHURCH and THE DIRTY NIL in Los Angeles. In Toronto, GLASSJAW and THE DIRTY NIL will perform the first night at Budweiser Stage, with QUICKSAND and MONEEN filling in as support for the second night.
Says Pettit: "These are all bands we know and respect, and think are rad. Make sure you come early!"
ALEXISONFIRE premiered the official video for "Familiar Drugs" last month, teaming up with Michael Maxxis who directed their personal favorite ALEXISONFIRE video for "The Northern" and CITY AND COLOUR's "Fragile Bird", "Thirst" and "Lover Come Back".

STONE SOUR - Pro-Shot Video Of Entire Resurrection Fest 2018 Performance StreamingStone Sour, featuring Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, performed at Resurrection Fest 2018 on July 12th, 2018. Pro-shot video of the entire show can be viewed below.
The setlist on the night was as follows:
"Whiplash Pants"
"Absolute Zero"
"Knievel Has Landed"
"Say You'll Haunt Me"
"30/30-150"
"Bother"
"Tired"
"Cold Reader"
"Get Inside"
"Rose Red Violent Blue (This Song Is Dumb & So Am I)"
"Made of Scars"
"Song #3"
"Through Glass"
"RU486"
"Fabuless"
Speaking exclusively with Kerrang!, Taylor opened up about the creation of his new Slipknot mask, stating that public perception of him over the past few years drove him towards the final design.
Taylor: "I said, 'Okay, if you want a villain, you’ll get a fucking villain. My vision was about trying to create something uncomfortable – not only for me to wear, but for people to look at. I wanted it to feel like it was something that was created in someone’s basement – something that was made specifically to fuck with people. It’s the representation of public opinion turning on a dime – they want to tear people down for the way they live, even if they don’t really know them. It’s been liberating to embrace that side and be like, 'Fuck you. I really don’t give a shit what you think about me, so here’s this!'"
Read the complete interview here.
Slipknot made their televised return on Friday, May 17th, as the musical guests on Jimmy Kimmel Live on the show's outdoor stage. Video of the band performing new songs "Unsainted" and "All Out Life" is available below.

DEVIN TOWNSEND - CBC Music Posts Pro-Shot Video Of First Play Live Acoustic One-Man Performance; "Funeral", "Hyperdrive", "Ih-Ah" And "Life"CBC Music has published a feature article on Devin Townsend and posted video from a recent First Play Live event in Vancouver, BC. Check it out below.
"There's nothing about Devin Townsend's casual manner and easy-going stage banter that would clue you into the fact that he is one of the most respected progressive metal artists on the scene. But when he starts to sing and play, it's clear the West Coast musician is a heavy musical force of nature. This CBC Music session finds Townsend in a dramatically simplified setting of solo vocals and acoustic guitar performing for an appreciative, hometown crowd in Vancouver. It's a great introduction to the singer's artistry, with a decibel level that is perfectly acceptable to the metal-averse."
Check out the complete feature here.

IMMORTAL BIRD Stream New Song "Vestigial Warnings"Thrive On Neglect is the forthcoming new full-length from Chicago-based blackened death grind unit Immortal Bird, due July 5th on CD, vinyl, and digital formats. The band's second LP, and first for 20 Buck Spin, takes the perilous road of musical diversity and commands it with a bloodthirsty rage.
With a multi-layered sound running the gamut from pummeling grind and death metal to dissonant blackened metal, angular noise, and complex hardcore, Immortal Bird defy simple categorization. The band's compositions fuse into strikingly savage songs, vast in their scope and more than the sum of their disparate parts, merging the progressive and destructive into a maelstrom of raging fire. Rae Amitay's seething vocal exorcisms and targeted lyrical aggression provide the connective tissue holding the stylized violence together.
In advance of its release, Immortal Bird offers up second single, "Vestigial Warnings", for public feasting. Notes Amitay of the track, "This was the first full song we wrote together as our current configuration, and we've been playing it together for almost two years. Finally having it recorded and released feels like a significant step. Lyrically, this one is more 'political' than the rest of the material on the album. I'm not trying to be indirect by using metaphor, but I also don't want to limit people's perspective by being overt. With the 'eyeless, glowing grubs...sickly white, dying still...choir of weakened gasping...,' I'm not saying that I was thinking about certain people who occupy positions of power in this country but... Actually, that is what I'm saying. 'They'll tell you this is how it has to be. Abandon hope and worship apathy.'"
Nearly four years in the making, Thrive On Neglect is a blistering statement of intent from a band ascending into full bloom. Boasting the punishingly heavy production work of Dave Otero (Archspire, Cattle Decapitation, Khemmis) ideally suited for Immortal Bird's tumultuous arrangements and orchestrated chaos, fans of Pig Destroyer, Krallice, Converge, Full Of Hell, Noisem, Cretin, Cannibal Corpse, and Cult Leader, pay heed. Pre-orders can be placed now at this location.
Tracklisting:
“Anger Breeds Contempt”
“House Of Anhedonia”
“Vestigial Warnings”
“Avolition”
“Solace In Dead Structures”
“Quisquillian Company”
“Stumbling Toward Catharsis”
“Anger Breeds Contempt”:
In live news, Immortal Bird is in the midst of a near-two-week US tour that includes an appearance at Northwest Terror Fest as well as performances with Gadget and Cloud Rat on select shows. Remaining dates are as listed:

Watch Seventh Episode Of ALICE IN CHAINS' 'Black Antenna' Movie ProjectALICE IN CHAINS has released the seventh episode of "Black Antenna", a dark sci-fi thriller set against the backdrop of the band's Grammy-nominated album "Rainier Fog" (BMG). Further episodes will be released throughout the coming months.
"Black Antenna" tells the story of Alpha (played by "Green Book" actor Paul Sloan) and his 21-year-old daughter, Beta (Viktoriya Dov), who drive their beat-up truck across California in silence, speaking only telepathically. Together they rob and steal from the men the girl seduces, taking phones, laptops and whatever they can find.
Alpha is trying to build something — an antenna — desperately trying to find a way to get a message to their people back home. Meanwhile there are unspeakably dark forces who have discovered their existence and are now hell-bent on tracking them down and eradicating them before more of their kind can come and join them.
"Black Antenna" was directed by Adam Mason, written by Paul Sloan and Adam Mason and produced by Elizabeth Mason and Nick Vallelonga, who recently won two Oscars ("Best Original Screenplay" and "Best Picture") for "Green Book".
"This movie came out of nowhere for me," says Mason. "As soon as I heard the album, the music and lyrics spoke to me on a profoundly personal level and the film and subject matter was born directly out of that. I've always been a huge fan of ALICE IN CHAINS, and this has been a dream come true for me. 'Black Antenna' is a perfect synergy of the band's lyrics, and 'Black Antenna' paints a dark and beautiful canvas of the deeply conflicted world we live in today."
The release comes ahead of ALICE IN CHAINS' European tour this summer, which sees them play numerous dates and festivals including three arena shows in the U.K., starting at Glasgow's Braehead Arena on May 23 before a show at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham on May 24, and ending with a date at London's Wembley Arena on May 25. The shows will be the biggest headline shows the band have played to date in the U.K.
ALICE IN CHAINS is touring in support of its latest album, "Rainier Fog", which became the group's first Top 10 U.K. album, hit No.1 across Billboard's Rock, Alternative and Hard Music charts and the iTunes Rock Album chart, and earned the band a ninth Grammy nod for "Best Rock Album."

KOSM Premiere Music Video For H.P. LOVECRAFT Inspired Track "Wza-Y’ei"Vancouver progressive metal band Kosm released their debut album, Cosmonaut, in November 2018. A concept album loosely based on the weird fiction of H.P. Lovecraft, along with borrowing influences from the science-fiction of Frank Herbert, and Roger Zelazny, the full length serves as both musical and lyrical adventure.
The band explains: "The cosmonaut's journey is essentially symbolic, serving as a commentary on the human experience: a journey from confusion and anger, to transcendence and self-understanding."
With praise from their local Vancouver metal scene and beyond for their debut full length, the band is sharing another tribute to the author H.P. Lovecraft that has inspired them, their music, and their latest music video "Wza-Y’ei".
The band adds: "The word 'Wza-Y’ei' is a word in Aklo, the language of the Old Ones. We are interpreting the meaning as something akin to 'Om', or the liberation of the mind. This is a summation of the album themes. Cosmonaut begins with naivety explored in the first track 'Space Mead', but ends in epiphany with 'Wza-Y’ei'."
Catch Kosm live at the following shows:
June
14 - Vancouver, BC - Astoria Hastings
15 - Kelowna, BC - Muninn's Post
July
6 - Calgary, AB - County Line Saloon (Decimate MetalFest)

THUNDERSTICK - Former SAMSON / IRON MAIDEN Drummer Reveals New Live Band Lineup; New Shows ConfirmedDrummer Thunderstick has always been one to champion change for his band. Both recorded material and live work have seen many talented musicians take their place with him onstage or in the studio so it is with fevered exhilaration that he excitedly announces Thunderstick ’19.
Barry Graham Purkis: “I can't wait to put this band onstage, in my opinion it is the strongest lineup I have had since the bands formation back in the 80’s. Vocalist Raven and guitarist Mike Gibbons have added something unique, something that goes beyond that of just being fantastic musicians. All of us are totally in ‘sync’ with each other, the creative chemistry between us all is something that for a musician happens very rarely if at all in a career. Their absolute love of theatrical rock/metal meant they were the perfect fit for Thunderstick and we have some great shows lined up. We'll also be recording new material for a four track EP this summer I really feel very excited about this reincarnation.”
The full Thunderstick lineup is:
Vocals - Raven
Guitar - Mike Gibbons
Guitar - Lee Quenby
Bass - Rex Thunderbolt
Drums - Thunderstick aka Barry Graham Purkis
Raven started her career as a solo singer over a decade ago working the many small venues across her native Kent by putting in the performances she soon attracted enquiries from rock bands that had heard of her powerful voice and enigmatic stage presence she started guesting with many performing rock covers, as well as continuing her solo work. She now joins Thunderstick…'The Raven has landed'.
Mike Gibbons has been on the Thunderstick radar for a couple of years indicating a strong interest in joining the band but the opportunity hadn’t been there... until now.. professional UK-based session guitarist and songwriter he has played alongside major names including T’Pau, Richard O'Brien (Rocky Horror), Mike Pender, Brian Pool, Mike D’Abo and The Supremes amongst many others. He has as long list of TV and advertising credits as well as his stage and studio work. Aside from his work as a guitar player he is also a songwriter and composer, one of his songs 'Butterfly' featuring on the closing credits of the zombie horror PC game Paradigm Shift. He now brings his considerable talents to Thunderstick.
Barry Graham Purkis aka Thunderstick became the figurehead of the newly emerging NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) scene in 1979, playing both with Iron Maiden and Samson (alongside Bruce Dickinson) and then with his eponymously named Thunderstick band. A songwriter, lyricist, arranger and producer in his own right he furthered the band’s career throughout the eighties until the band played its last gig in Tunbridge Wells in October 1986. Then a little over thirty years later he went back into the studio recording his songs that became the Something Wicked This Way Comes album. Released in July 2017 it attracted enthusiastic reviews worldwide. In 2018 he put a live band together performing Thunderstick shows the first in more than three decades. Now Thunderstick ’19 are ready to ‘Steal your Rock ’n’ Roll Hearts’.
Lee Quenby is a Kent guy through and through. He was lucky enough to score his first gig with Margate legends Vigilante before forming Mr Scary with two of his best friends, Mik Gaffney and Paul Delo. He never lost his love of that flash and showiness that the metal bands of the 80's had.
Rex Thunderbolt another familiar face from the Kent music scene, bass-player Rex has been part of the reborn Thunderstick band since 2017, playing on the well-received album Something Wicked This Way Comes and subsequent live gigs when Thunderstick returned to the stage.

OZZY OSBOURNE Says BILL WARD Should Have Been Involved In BLACK SABBATH's Final TourOzzy Osbourne says that Bill Ward should have been part of BLACK SABBATH's final tour.
Ward was on board for the SABBATH reunion when it was first announced more than seven years ago, but backed out soon after. The drummer later claimed that he sat out the recording and touring sessions because of unfair contractual terms, although the members of SABBATH have hinted in other interviews that he wasn't physically up to the task.
Ozzy addressed Ward's non-involvement with SABBATH's reunion during a recent interview with U.K.'s Kerrang! magazine. Asked to elaborate on his previous comment that he didn't really enjoy his last tour with BLACK SABBATH — the band's farewell trek which ended in February 2017 — the singer said: "I didn't like the fact that Bill Ward wasn't there, for a start. People put that down to me, but it wasn't me, honestly. We [SABBATH] didn't have the fucking time to hang around, we had to get going, but I'm sorry it didn't work out with Bill. Tommy [Clufetos, Ozzy's drummer, who played with SABBATH on the farewell tour] did great, but the four of us started this, and it should have been the four of us ending it. Those final gigs in Birmingham were bittersweet because you think of how far we came, and how much we did, and it would have been good to have shared that together. Maybe one day there'll be one last gig, I don't know."
Asked if he found it difficult going back to SABBATH after doing his own thing for so many years, Ozzy said: "Yeah, it was a bit difficult at times, but we're all older men now, and we got on with it. It's not 'Ozzy Osbourne and BLACK SABBATH,' it's BLACK SABBATH, and I'm just one quarter of that. Sometimes it feels like people want me to be less 'Ozzy' at times, but I can only be myself."
All four original members of SABBATH were present when the band announced its reunion in late 2011. But Ward split from the group in 2012, citing an "unsignable" contract, and Osbourne, Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler carried on with their Rick Rubin–produced "13" LP and extensive international touring without him.
Ozzy told The Pulse Of Radio during SABBATH's last tour that Ward was not in shape to participate. "Bill Ward has got the most physically demanding job of the lot of us, 'cause he's the timekeeper," he said. "I don't think personally he had the chops to pull it off, you know. The saddest thing is that he needed to own up to that, and we could have worked around it, whether we had a drummer on the side with him or something."
It was rumored that SABBATH wanted to bring a second drummer on the road to share duties with Ward, something that guitarist Tony Iommi confirmed in 2017 during a question-and-answer session about SABBATH's "Ten Year War" box set.
Last November, Ozzy told The Times that he didn't particularly enjoy working with Iommi. Osbourne also claimed that he has "moved on" from the band, and compared his relationship to the rest of SABBATH on the final tour to reconnecting with a former girlfriend after several decades.
"I'll tell you what it was like. It's like when you're younger and you met a girl, Susie, and you break up and you don't see her for 30 years," he said. "Then she's in town and you go, 'Oh, I'll give Susie a call,' because your memory only remembers the good parts and you can narrow it then to a week and you go, 'I remember that week and it was lovely.' But then you go back and you go, 'I forgot the fucking four and three-quarter years I was fucking miserable.'"
Ozzy has also said in some of his other interviews that his last tour with BLACK SABBATH was not a pleasant experience for him. "It's not allowed to have fucking fun with SABBATH," he told Rolling Stone. "It's too serious. Tony was trying to have a go at me, saying, 'Don't fucking talk over my solos.' I go, 'Okay, are you sure? 'Cause most of the fucking song is solos. The intro to the song is fuckin' five minutes and then I sing for about two seconds and then it's another one.' With my own thing, I'm looking to have fun, and that's what music's about for me. I'm not a serious fucking singer. I'm just a frontman who's trying to get the crowd going in front."
Last September, Ozzy told Philadelphia Inquirer that he "didn't have a great time" on SABBATH's final tour. He explained: "I spent nine or 10 years in SABBATH, but I'd been away from them for over 30 years. With them, I'm just a singer. With me, I get to do what I want to do. I was getting bad vibes from them for being Ozzy. I don't know — what the fuck else can I be?"
A couple of weeks after Ozzy's Philadelphia Inquirer interview was published, Iommi was asked by The List if he had a response to the singer's comments. Iommi said: "I saw that, but I don't know what he meant. I had a great time on the last tour playing with the guys, and Ozzy never mentioned anything to me. He seemed to enjoy it and we had a laugh, so I don't know. So I think possibly that quote was taken out of context."
In early April, Ozzy postponed all his 2019 tour dates, both in North America and Europe, as he recovered from an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia. The singer fell at his Los Angeles home, aggravating years-old injuries from his 2003 ATV accident that required new surgery. 13

Comments Visigoth: "We are emerging from the abyss with a new two-song 7" that we are looking forward to unleashing onstage across Europe this summer! Of course this is just a foreshadowing of bigger things to come, but we hope that the hordes will be placated - if temporarily - by this humble offering. We'll leave it up to the listener to explore the unifying theme that ties the lyrics and artwork together, but rest assured that musically not much has changed. Love it or hate it, this is still straightfoward heavy metal done the way we’ve always done it. Without further ado, the road calls once again, and we answer with fervent hunger!"

ZONDER / WEHRKAMP Release Debut Album; "Do Anything" Music Video PostedZonder/Wehrkamp, the band featuring drummer Mark Zonder and guitarist/keyboardist Gary Wehrkamp, have released their debut album, If It’s Real.
The album is available on all digital download and streaming platforms worldwide. For those who want a physical product, CDs are available via CDBaby and at ZWband.com. Fans who purchase from ZWband.com will receive an autographed copy of the album along with a Zonder/Wehrkamp guitar pick and refrigerator magnet.
Mark Zonder comments on new album: "Please listen to the Zonder/Wehrkamp album as new music, a new experience. Yes, it is Gary Wehrkamp and myself doing the entire record ourselves and artists trademark sounds usually come through the music, but this is not a Warlord, Shadow Gallery or Fates record. This is just Gary and I being creative in a dark, moody and atmospheric way. Enjoy the journey."
Celebrating the release of the debut album, the band unveils a new video for the song "Do Anything", directed/edited by Paul Dworakivsky. Watch below.
While Zonder/Wehrkamp takes the two musicians on a different path, their musical pasts are very much influences on their current project. "If It’s Real” resonates with a tenebrous emotional intensity wrapped in a more melodic, ethereal sound and philosophical take on progressive hard rock.
Tracklisting:
"I Can't Believe"
"If It's Real"
"I'd Do Anything"
"Last Place"
"Two Years"
"Where Are The Children Going?"
"Too Late"
"The Next Big Thing"
"It's Not The End"
"Goodnight"

DENIAL OF GOD Premiere New Track, "The Shapeless Mass"Danish black metallers Denial Of God have premiered their new track "The Shapeless Mass" via the YouTube clip available below. The song is the title track to the long-running band's new mini-album, The Shapeless Mass, set for international release on June 28th jointly through Osmose Productions and Hells Headbangers. The Shapeless Mass is Denial Of God's first new recording since 2012's Death And The Beyond - to say that it's long overdue would be quite the understatement!
By now, Denial Of God should need little introduction. Since that fateful year of 1991, the brothers Azter and Ustumallagam have perfected an idiosyncratic style of black metal that's positively drenched in the supernatural and remains firm in their conviction of more classicist-styled songwriting. In fact, "black metal" might even be a misnomer; rather, black horror metal would be more accurate.
Nevertheless, as the years have gone on and they wisely parcel out their releases, each Denial Of God record is special, and The Shapeless Mass is no exception. Arguably the band's most violent and intense recording, The Shapeless Mass takes the listener down many horrific paths - and epic ones, too, as the four-song mini-album totals 26 minutes!
First up is "The Shapeless Mass", which will also feature on their upcoming third album, The Hallow Mass, and here tells the legend of the Golem of Prague. Next is "The Statues Are Watching", a re-recording of the title track from the 1995 debut vinyl 7", now played with the power of the by-now-classic lineup of Ustumallagam, Azter, and Galheim but still remaining frighteningly close in spirit and feel to the original version. Honoring their roots, the band also deliver a reverential cover of Bathory's "Call From the Grave", but far more surprising is the cover of Exuma's "Mama Loi, Papa Loi": unusual, yes, but it still makes sense in the dark world of Denial Of God and has been very much made their own here.
Pre-order info can be found here. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
"The Shapeless Mass"
"The Statues Are Watching"
"Call From The Grave" (Bathory cover)
"Mama Loi, Papa Loi" (Exuma cover)

SCOTT STAPP: 'Name' Lyric VideoGrammy-winning songwriter, CREED frontman and platinum-certified solo artist Scott Stapp will release his new album, "The Space Between The Shadows", on July 19 via Napalm Records. Pre-order the album and get two instant-grat tracks — "Purpose For Pain" and "Name" — with two more to come — "Face Of The Sun" (May 31) and "Gone Too Soon" (July 12).
Stapp has posted a lyric video for "Name" to highlight a song that pledges to break the cycle of abuse. The track is a chill-inducing promise to protect his children from what he endured in his own youth. Stapp has performed the song live for select fans during radio visits and each performance has been met with pin-drop silence and standing ovations for lyrics like: "I am a son without a father. He gave his name and walked away. I am a man, now a father. And I swear my son will never know that pain. I was a child, I was abandoned. Too young to fight to have a say. Oh God what seemed so heavy handed. Made me the man I am today. It's so hard to forgive. Even harder to forget."
"Name" also gives the album its title, as Stapp vows to make his hard-learned lessons count: "I will... I will... be the space between the shadows. I will...I will... be the light inside the sorrow."
"The Space Between The Shadows" was co-produced by Scott Stevens and Marti Frederiksen, with additional production on "Purpose For Pain" by Kevin "Thrasher" Gruft. The album was recorded at Sienna Studios and Poppy Studios in Nashville, Tennessee and The Cabin in Los Angeles. It was mixed by Chris Baseford and mastered by Howie Weinberg and features ten original songs and two original bonus tracks.
Stapp is known as frontman for CREED (over 50 million albums sold worldwide), and for his work as a solo artist who released the platinum-certified "The Great Divide" (2005) and "Proof Of Life" (2013), which featured his first solo Billboard No. 1, "Slow Suicide".
Stapp went through a highly publicized, drug-inflamed meltdown in 2014, after which he entered into an intensive rehab program. Stapp also lost custody of his three children during this period, while also missing a court hearing and allegedly threatening to kill President Obama.
Stapp is now sober and in intensive therapy. He takes medication for bipolar disorder — a condition that causes unexpected shifts in mood, energy and activity levels — works through a 12-step program, and meets with a sponsor, saying, "Nothing is more important than my sobriety."
Scott will embark on a cross-country summer tour in late June. 1

VINCE NEIL Joins SAMMY HAGAR For Cover Of MONTROSE's 'Rock Candy' (Video)MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil joined SAMMY HAGAR & THE CIRCLE on stage on May 19 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, Missouri to perform the MONTROSE classic "Rock Candy". Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be seen below (courtesy of YouTube user "thome2000").
In his review of the show, St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer Daniel Durchholz said of Vince's contribution to "Rock Candy": "Neil didn't seem to know the words, and his appearance was a needless distraction."
SAMMY HAGAR & THE CIRCLE's concert in Maryland Heights had been rescheduled from the previous night, when the threat of severe weather forced its postponement an hour and a quarter before showtime. About 11,000 attended Sunday, with Neil as the support act, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Neil is continuing to tour the world with his backing group, which includes Dana Strum and Jeff Blando from SLAUGHTER, along with drummer Zoltan Chaney.
THE CIRCLE, Hagar's critically acclaimed supergroup also featuring Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson, kicked off its 23-city North American on April 19 in Reno, Nevada and will end it on June 7 in Chicago, Illinois.
THE CIRCLE's debut album of original material, "Space Between", came out on May 10.

Former MANOWAR Guitarist KARL LOGAN Is Facing Time In Federal Prison On Child Pornography ChargesAccording to WSOC-TV, former MANOWAR guitarist Karl Logan will make a first court appearance on child pornography charges as early as Tuesday.
Logan, 54, was arrested last August in Charlotte, North Carolina and charged with six counts of third-degree exploitation of a minor. According to arrest warrants, the offenses took place between June 18, 2018 and August 2, 2018.
The warrants say Logan was in possession of several videos which depicted girls between the ages of four and 12 years old engaged in a variety of sexual acts with unidentified men. Each video is described in graphic detail, including one scene where a girl age 10-12 "chokes and becomes visibly upset."
Logan's attorney, Brad Smith, told WSOC-TV his client has been "extremely cooperative with the investigation from the beginning, and he'll continue to do that."
Smith went on to say that there could be an explanation for the acts that Logan is accused of committing.
"You oftentimes do see with those that do end up pleading, there's a direct correlation to something that happened in their childhood," Smith said.
Following his arrest, Logan was reportedly released on a $35,000 bond.
A few days after Karl's arrest was made public, MANOWAR issued a statement saying that he would no longer perform with the group. He has since been replaced by E.V. Martel, who previously played in a MANOWAR tribute band.
Karl joined MANOWAR in 1994 as the replacement for David Shankle.
Prior to hooking up with MANOWAR, Logan played several bands in northeastern Pennsylvania, including ARC ANGEL and FALLEN ANGEL.
MANOWAR is in the middle of its "The Final Battle" farewell world tour. 2

DEEP PURPLE - Long Lost "Strange Kind Of Woman" Italian TV Performance Video SurfacesIn the video below, lost for nearly 50 years, Deep Purple appear on Su Di Giri (Up To Speed), introduced by Enzo Cerusico and Giuditta Saltarini, on Radiotelevisione Italiana, miming to "Strange Kind Of Woman". Ritchie Blackmore is seen with a white Stratocaster with a Telecaster neck, and Roger Glover with his Fender Mustang bass.
Deep Purple - comprised of Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey - recently announced The Long Goodbye Tour, presented by Live Nation. The tour will include over 25+ dates across North America, kicking off on September 3 in Riverside, CA before concluding in Minneapolis, MN on October 19. See below for the full tour itinerary.
With a body of work spanning seven decades, Deep Purple has helped pioneer and define the hard rock genre whilst progressively moving into new areas to keep their sound fresh and attract new fans to the legions who have remained loyal since the band’s inception.
Known as one of the hardest working bands ever, Purple has released 6 studio albums since 1996 alone and has toured globally since forming in 1968 with little rest. In 2007 (almost 40 years after being formed) the band performed 40 dates in France to an award-winning audience of 150,000 whilst this summer, across the US and Canada, the band partnered with fellow hard rockers ‘Judas Priest’ embarking on a wildly successful 25 city tour!
Purple has stayed true to its musical roots taking from an eclectic mix of styles to create a distinctive sound that defines the band today, but which in turn, has created a legacy that very few bands could ever hope to replicate. The band has written and produced so many “classic” songs that its audience ranges widely in age and background, something the band has embraced and caters to, with its concert setlists.

SANCTUARY To Release New Album In 2020On December 13, 2017, Warrel Dane, the legendary lead singer of SANCTUARY and NEVERMORE, passed away while recording his posthumously released studio album "Shadow Work". At that time, SANCTUARY had already confirmed and announced a U.S. tour supporting ICED EARTH in February and March 2018 and, while shocked by Dane's passing, decided to turn it into a tribute to his legacy with exceptionally talented WITHERFALL vocalist Joseph Michael.
Performing tracks from 1988's "Refuge Denied", 1990's "Into The Mirror Black" and 2014's "The Year The Sun Died", Michael delivered a stunning performance and received very positive feedback from the fans attending the shows. Remaining founding members Lenny Rutledge (guitar) and Dave Budbill (drums) ultimately made the decision to continue with SANCTUARY and Michael not only as a live act, but also compose and record a new album, which is currently expected to surface in 2020.
Now, the band has confirmed two European festival shows this summer and will tour North America in July performing the entire "Refuge Denied" album.
Rutledge explains: "SANCTUARY are looking forward to playing two special festival shows in Europe this summer in addition to our commemorative 'Refuge Denied' dates in the U.S. where we will perform our classic debut album in full. If you're an old-school SANCTUARY fan or a fan of classic metal, you don't what to miss this run of dates! Joseph Michael is the new singer of SANCTUARY and we will be playing songs from all three albums but focusing on the earlier material. Come check out the return of SANCTUARY!"
Lenny Rutledge and Joseph Michael reveal more about SANCTUARY's future in the video below.
While the new album is still months away, SANCTUARY will continue to perform live, as Michael enables the group to do intense old-school sets, including the soaring vocals and high screams fans know and love on albums such as "Refuge Denied" and "Into The Mirror Black".

FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE Launch Visualizer For "Worship And Forget"Italian orchestral-death metal juggernauts, Fleshgod Apocalypse, have released their new album, Veleno, via Nuclear Blast Records. Order the album in various formats here.
A visualizer video for the track "Worship And Forget" can be seen below.
Francesco Paoli comments, "The time has finally come. I lost count of the number of times I wrote and deleted this statement, since it's almost impossible to find the right words to describe the feeling or explain how much this new album means to us. The fifth release, apparently, is crucial for every band and for us, considering what we've been through in the last couple of years, it is even more… it's a new beginning, a new era. I'll just say that Veleno embodies this spirit, being the best portrayal of this renewed strength within the band. So, let's cut the chatter and let the music speak!"
Italian for venom, Veleno marks Fleshgod Apocalypse’s first record in three years, since the release of their critically acclaimed record King (2016). The “metal part” of Veleno was recorded in Rome, Italy at Bloom Recording Studio and Kick Studio with long-standing collaborator Marco Mastrobuono, while the “orchestral part” - the ensembles - were tracked at Musica Teclas Studio in Perugia. Fleshgod Apocalypse then took the effort over to Grammy-nominated Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark for mixing and mastering. The entire production of Veleno took, according to Paoli, about three months. Artwork for the album was created by Travis Smith.
Veleno tracklisting:
"Fury"
"Carnivorous Lamb"
"Sugar"
"The Praying Mantis’ Strategy"
"Monnalisa"
"Worship and Forget"
"Absinthe"
"Pissing On The Score"
"The Day We’ll Be Gone"
"Embrace The Oblivion"
"Veleno"
