IMPELLITTERI Reunites With GRAHAM BONNET Live On Stage In Tokyo; Perform RAINBOW Classic "Since You've Been Gone" (Video)Impellitteri guitarist and namesake Chris Impellitteri has posted the following update:
"Last night's packed concer...'Since You’ve Been Gone' with Graham Bonnet reuniting with Impellitteri. The crowd was amazing. I think we all had happy tears in our eyes! Having both Rob Rock and Graham Bonnet on stage was incredible; Jimmy Waldo from Alcatrazz also joined us. What a great night!"
Bonnet was with Impellitteri from 1988 - 1990, and again from 2000 - 2002. He recorded the albums Stand In Line (1988) and System X (2002) with the band.
Ahead of his Australian tour with Alcatrazz, Bonnet recently appeared on the Australian Rock Show podcast.
Bonnet and Alcatrazz are set to perform in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and are performing Rainbow’s 1979 album Down To Earth in its entirety. When asked to recall his reaction when he first heard the Rainbow song "Lost In Hollywood" and if he feels an "adrenaline rush" when singing the tune live, Bonnet replied:
"Oh always, it's one of my favorite songs off the album to be honest with you. Cozy (Powell) came up with the beginning part (obviously), the drum thing at the beginning, and Roger (Glover) gave me an idea for the melody for the song. He just hummed something to me one day and he said 'Take that where you may' and so I made up the melody to that. I was never credited for anything on that album; in fact I didn't realize I was writing songs at the time. But anyway, it was Ritchie (Blackmore) and Roger that came up with the main lick and then Cozy added his fantastic drumming to it. I was given a rough idea of how the melody should go and then I changed it around as I sang the lyrics that Roger Glover wrote. That's how we did every track. We would record one song probably about four different ways, different melodies, different words, and then we chose the one that was going the right way. We came up with the right idea for 'Lost In Hollywood' after about two takes, I think."
Graham Bonnet manager Giles Lavery announced at the beginning of the year that the guitarist for the relaunch of Alcatrazz will be Joe Stump (Reign Of Terror, Holy Hell) and that a new double live Alcatrazz album will be recorded (and filmed) on the upcoming Japanese tour. The live album will feature the entire Alcatrazz No Parole From Rock And Roll album and the entire Rainbow Down To Earth album. Plus rarely performed tracks from Bonnet's days with Impellitteri and Blackthorne.
Alcatrazz keyboardist Jimmy Waldo also added in a separate interview: "The last two Graham Bonnet Band albums stylistically have essentially been Alcatrazz albums as we were aiming for that direction anyways. With our new guitar player Joe Stump we feel we can take Alcatrazz to the next level. Due to popular demand it's time to bring the name back."
More details to be announced on upcoming Alcatrazz studio album which will feature many guests from Graham's musical past.
Alcatrazz lineup:
Graham Bonnet - vocals
Jimmy Waldo - Keyboards
Joe Stump - Guitar
Beth Ami Heavenstone - Bass
Mark Benquechea - Drums

NAD SYLVAN Launches “Meet Your Maker” VideoNad Sylvan, vocalist with Steve Hackett, recently announced the release of his new solo album The Regal Bastard on July 5th, 2019. His third album for InsideOutMusic, and his 5th overall, this record is the final part of the Vampirate trilogy that he began on 2015’s Courting The Widow. Check out second single and video for “Meet Your Maker” below.
Nad comments: “This song features the fabulous Tania Doko on vocals, Tony Levin on bass and Nick D’Virgilio on drums. The rest is all handled by yours truly. ‘Meet Your Maker’ is a typical song, where still in the realm of prog - I bring in my R&B/soul influences combined with rock and dark theater. I don’t hear anyone else making that kind of noise at the moment, so I believe this is a unique piece of music, delivered by first rate musicians and production. So I’m very pleased with it.”
Work on The Regal Bastard began in August 2017, when the vocalist began to record.
Nad says: “This album is very coherent. It really does excite me, and I am sure my fans are gonna freak out when they hear it.” Work on The Regal Bastard began in August 2017, when the vocalist began to record. “What I tend to do is put down my ideas, and then send these to the proper musicians, who are then free to develop them in their own ways. I can then cherry pick from what they subsequently send me.”
“I have had to take a number of breaks, though, from working on this album, due to other commitments. So, it's never been a case of me devoting all of my time to the project. But what this has done is allow me to return to it refreshed after time away, and able to take a different perspective on it all.”
The record was finished over the last two-month period, with Nad working mammoth 15-20 hour days in order to complete it before his tour with Steve Hackett began. “The music to the title track was finished in early 2018, but the lyrics and the vocal delivery was all done in two days and finished on the same day I went to master the album. But it worked!”
Once more, Sylvan has pulled together a tremendous array of musical talent to bring his inspiration to life. “Almost everyone who worked on The Bride Said No is back with me again. Steve Hackett plays guitar on one track, Guthrie Govan on two, while Tony Levin does the bass on a song. Jonas Reingold plays bass on much of the album, and Nick D'Virgilio handles the drums. And I also have the same female singers working with me once more, these being Sheona Urquhart, Jade Ell and Tania Doko. And on 'Honey I'm Home', there's a big choir section, with every singer that has been involved with the three albums that make up the Vampirate trilogy, concluding the story in an honourable way. We also have Nick Beggs joining in on this part of the song.”
The Regal Bastard will be released as a limited CD Digipak (incl. two bonus tracks), Gatefold 2LP + CD, and as a digital album. The artwork and tracklisting can be found below:
"I Am The Sea"
"Oahu"
"Whoa (Always Been Without You)"
"Meet Your Maker"
"The Regal Bastard"
"Leave Me On These Waters"
"Honey I’m Home"
"Diva Time" (Bonus Track)
"The Lake Isle Of Innisfree" (Bonus Track)
"Meet The Maker" video:
"I Am The Sea":
Nad comments: “For me, this is the best of the three records. I honestly believe it will delight the fans. It is maybe not as riff heavy as the others. I would describe the sound as coming from the notion of pop going prog, with R'n'B elements in there as well. It is very soulful. But that suits my style. I am a vocal chameleon, and you'll hear that throughout. It is the finest possible way to bring the trilogy to an end.”
Nad will spend most of 2019 touring once again with Steve Hackett, as he celebrates the 40 years anniversary of Spectral Mornings, as well as the Genesis classic Selling England By The Pound. Find the full list of dates here.

GRIM REAPER’s Steve Grimmett On Auditioning For IRON MAIDEN - “I Didn’t Get It!”Although there were rumoured to be a dozen or so candidates to replace Bruce Dickinson when he left Iron Maiden in 1993, Grim Reaper singer Steve Grimmett spoke to BraveWords recently about vying for the Holy Grail of heavy metal.
“Yeah, I didn’t get it,” he laughs. “I went through (Iron Maiden manager) Rod Smallwood, because I know Rod fairly well, and I said ‘I want part of this’ and he said ‘send me a demo.’ So I sent stuff, and I phoned him up after about a month and he said ‘I think you’re in the top three for Maiden.’ And then I heard that they picked Blaze (Bayley). I mean he’s a great guy, he’s a great singer, but at the time he was only just coming up to being known. I was already touring in Japan, the States, the UK. There was even a petition in Kerrang!, me for Maiden, that was quite funny. Yeah, I would have liked that job.”
Watch for the complete BraveWords chat soon!

THE OFFERING Streaming “Failure (S.O.S.)” Lyric VideoBoston’s The Offering are anything but orthodox. The high-flying quartet have a way of cleverly suffusing all their influences—from black and death to heavy and modern to thrash and power to nü and hardcore—into their story-like songs. Over time (and across many refinement sessions), The Offering have developed their all-in dynamic into a signature sound. Today marks the release of the first song taken from their debut album, HOME, which is set for a worldwide release on August 2nd, 2019. Check out the lyric video for “Failure (S.O.S.)” below.
The mystical artwork is based on a piece by Dawid Planeta that fits the meaning of HOME perfectly.
“HOME’s about feeling small, inconsequential, forgotten, wasted, and questioning how you fit in,” says vocalist Alexander Richichi. “My attempt is to see if anyone feels the same anymore. Or am I the only one? And if I'm not, where did everyone go? Lyrically, in this band, no word has one meaning—including HOME. Home, the word, is meant to be a haven, but instead it’s often the root of our traumas. We try not to think about what home we’re born into and how it’s tied to our fate, and how we are ultimately a reflection of our home, our upbringing. It shows us our limitations, how we interpret ‘safety.’ I would like this album to be a ‘home’ that houses people of the same mind, those who can find it as a type of refuge, especially in 2019 where so many of these emotions aren’t accessible to be openly talked about with loved ones. HOME is meant to show that you’re not alone.”
When it comes to their music The Offering’s focus is made clear; to rise above genre and to focus on the only thing that matters for metal in this era: evolution.
Nishad George (guitars) on the band’s growth while working on HOME: “I wanted everyone to spread their wings and be the musicians they always wanted to be and to help each other see that through with complementing parts. I wanted the band to feel like one giant instrument, where we changed lanes at a hundred miles an hour with no crashes.”
Gathering together from every corner of the United States the band features Alexander Richichi on vocals, Nishad George on guitar, Spencer Metela on bass, and Steve Finn on drums. The Offering partly tracked HOME at Carriage House Studios in Stamford CT, a place where diverse pop, rock and metal artists recorded influential albums including Pantera, Fates Warning, Overkill, Deftones, BoySetsFire or Sugar. HOME was then mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman (Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Bring Me The Horizon, Architects and many more).
Fredrik Nordström about HOME: “This is the most crazy and insane music I ever worked with, I love it!”
Tracklisting:
“Waste Away”
“Lovesick”
“Ultraviolence”
“A Dance With Diana”
“Failure (S.O.S.)”
“Hysteria”
“Glory”

- Frontiers US Store
- Frontiers EU Store
When asked about what fans can expect sound wise from the album, Morse explains, "Oh, it is completely diverse. There are touching ballads, rousing ensemble pieces, classical elements and dramatic Broadway musical type songs as well. It is really meant to be listened and experienced all the way through as you would a play or an opera. I hope that people will experience it in that way because I think that’s where they will really find the power in this piece of music."
He continues, "These songs and pieces of music were all written for this rock opera specifically. I wrote the first draft in 2008 and 2009, I believe. Then, last year in preparation for a performance at MorseFest I rewrote the whole musical again. I couldn’t be happier with the final outcome and I am thrilled that it is coming out on Frontiers this June."
With a cast of amazing vocalists and musicians like Ted Leonard, Eric Gillette, Nick D’Virgilio, Randy George, Bill Hubauer, Matt Smith, Jake Livgren and others, this progressive rock opera is a landmark event that will leave its mark on every listener. “Let him who has ears to hear... let him hear!”

SCOTT STAPP Debuts "Face Of The Sun" VisualizerGrammy winning songwriter, Creed frontman, and platinum-certified solo artist, Scott Stapp, roars on “Face Of The Sun”, the latest in the advance track campaign for his first album in six years, The Space Between The Shadows, coming July 19 on Napalm Records.
Each unveiled track (“Purpose For Pain”, “Name”, “Face Of The Sun,”) is available now via album pre-order. Fourth track, “Gone Too Soon” will be available July 12.
Each track has debuted with an accompanying lyric video and the latest challenges the cross-talk and shout-downs that have become the norm. Fans, even those with opposing views, will see their frustrations reflected in the video as Scott sneers:
Don’t try and make me listen
To all your superstition
That you been selling for so, so long
You got to stop the hating
The self-medicating
It’s killing me ‘cause you’re so far gone
He continues:
I see a hundred devils
Preaching another level
Selling the high road too low, low, low...
They’re lying to our faces
And nothing ever changes
They’re saying yes I say no, no no...
Yet, as always, the Grammy winning songwriter, Creed frontman, and platinum-certified solo artist balances cynicism with an appeal to the best of human nature in his chorus:
Fly... like a flame through the face of the sun
Rise... with the fire till the battle is won
Blind... to what the world says can never be done
Fight until the end
In the name of love
The Space Between The Shadows was co-produced by Scott Stevens and Marti Frederiksen, with additional production on “Purpose For Pain” by Kevin "Thrasher" Gruft. The album was recorded at Sienna Studios and Poppy Studios in Nashville, TN and The Cabin in Los Angeles. It was mixed by Chris Baseford and mastered by Howie Weinberg and features ten original songs and two original bonus tracks.

NORTHTALE Reveal Welcome To Paradise Cover Artwork And Tracklisting; Release Date ConfirmedNuclear Blast Records recently announced the signing of NorthTale. Formed by guitarist Bill Hudson (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, I Am Morbid, ex-U.D.O./Dirkschneider), vocalist Christian Eriksson (ex-Twilight Force), and drummer Patrick Johansson (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, ex-W.A.S.P.) in late 2017, the lineup was quickly completed by Mikael Planefeldt (bass) as well as keyboardist Jimmy Pitts. Now the quintet has finalized their highly-anticipated debut album, entitled Welcome To Paradise, which will see the light of day on August 2nd. The cover art and tracklist are available below.
"Welcome To Paradise"
"Higher"
"Follow Me"
"The Rhythm of Life"
"Time To Rise"
"Way Of The Light" (Bonus Track)
"Shape Your Reality"
"Everyone's A Star"
"Siren's Fall"
"Bring Down The Mountain"
"Playing With Fire"
"If Angels Are Real"
"Even When"
Hudson comments: "The artwork for Welcome To Paradise represents an entrance to whatever 'paradise' represents to each of us. With this album, we intend to introduce the band to the world, as well as to spread our message, that you can be or do whatever you want, it's all inside your own mind. Felipe Machado did a great job capturing our ideas and bringing them into reality. The album, the music and the lyrics all seek to empower the listener and remind them that THEY are masters of their destiny and what happens in their lives."
Delivering a load of (largely) fast-paced anthems, imbued with Eriksson's soaring vocals, the band will not only please fans of titans such as Helloween, Sonata Arctica, Gamma Ray, Stratovarius among others, but draw new fans to the genre too. That's why Nuclear Blast is happy to announce the signing of this promising outfit.
The group is set to conquer not only your audio systems, but also the world's stages, with their very first gig to take place at their label mates Sabaton's very own open air festival (August 14-17) and heading forward to two concerts in Tokyo, Japan for the Evoken Festival (August 31, September 1). Stay tuned for further info.
Listen to the band's 2018 version of the song "Shape Your Reality", below. The track is also available on Spotify, iTunes and other digital music platforms.
"We are beyond thrilled to announce that we have signed a deal with Nuclear Blast Records! Growing up listening to records they have put out has greatly influenced music and the way we look at it. It is beyond humbling to be able to have our first album out on such an influential record label, one that has from the very beginning embraced us as family. Being a part of the Nuclear Blast family will allow us to put our music in front of every single heavy metal fan willing to listen, as well as give us the opportunity to play for them live! We cannot wait to play as many shows as we can and bring our music out on tour with us! See you on the road!" - Bill Hudson & Christian Eriksson
"We've been following NorthTale since their formation as we've always had huge power metal fans in our company. Of course, we expected nothing but irresistible tracks from the group, just take a look at the amazing pedigree of their line-up… How can you expect anything else? And we were not only proven right, the result easily exceeded our hopes! Since the arrival of »Welcome To Paradise«, we've been spinning them endlessly. We're happy to introduce NorthTale to the metal world and to be able to unleash their refreshing debut album upon the world very soon!" - Markus Wosgien Nuclear Blast A&R / Head Of Promotion

SHARON OSBOURNE To Get 'New Face' In AugustSharon Osbourne has confirmed that she will undergo another plastic surgery this summer.
"My next surgery's booked. It is," Ozzy Osbourne's wife and manager said on her daytime talk show "The Talk" on Tuesday (see video below). "I'm having it in August, so when we come back to film in September, I [will] have a new face."
When fellow co-host Carrie Ann Inaba protested, "But I like this face!" Sharon replied, "You're just used to it. You'll like the new one!"
Sharon went on to distance herself from famed plastic surgery addict Jocelyn Wildenstein, who was nicknamed "Catwoman" due to her extensive plastic surgeries that mimic the animal.
"I never took a picture to a doctor and said, 'I want to look like [a] cat woman,'" Osbourne said. "No, I didn't want to go that far." She later said she started getting plastic surgery because she looked like her mother and "I didn't want to look like my mom."
Osbourne has been open about the procedures and treatments she has had done, which include the Halo laser, multiple facelifts, an arm and leg lift, a tummy tuck following gastric bypass surgery, a breast reduction and lift and countless injections of Botox.
She told the U.K. newspaper The Daily Telegraph in May 2014 that "there's not much I haven't had tweaked, stretched, peeled, lasered, veneered, enhanced or removed altogether. But I won't be having any more. A couple of years ago I looked at myself and thought, 'Oh dear, you look plastic.' It looked all right in a portrait photo, but when I was talking — and I saw myself being interviewed on TV — I looked like the Joker."
On a 2016 episode of "The Talk", Sharon admitted that she was on "face three and counting."

ACE FREHLEY Says That He 'Probably Was The Coolest Guy' In KISSAce Frehley recently spoke to the Tulsa World about the general perception that he was the "coolest" member of KISS.
"If you look at polls on the Internet, I was voted the most liked member of the band, so I don't know," he said. "If you believe polls on the Internet, I guess it's true… In my mind, I probably was the coolest guy. Paul [Stanley] and Gene [Simmons] didn't really have the street smarts that I had. They lived more of a sheltered life. I had a pretty crazy life before I even joined KISS. I came to the band with a lot more life experience, I think. It made me more prepared for the insanity of the roller coaster ride with KISS."
Asked what he means by "street smarts," Frehley said: "I grew up in the Bronx. I was a member of a couple of different gangs. I had slept with a lot of women prior to joining KISS. It wasn't my first time in the rodeo, so to speak, you know?"
In a 2016 interview with BackStory, Ace said that Stanley and Simmons "never acknowledged" the fact that he was the "coolest" member of KISS. "Many times they didn't think I was cool, because maybe I didn't show up or I was late or I was too loaded," he said. "But it went along with the territory those days. I wouldn't do anything any differently than I did. It was a learning experience for me… I got cool from being in the streets. I grew up in the streets; I was in street gangs. I used to set up my friends with dates, and that's how I got the nickname 'Ace.' I mean, it's just a lot of things. The way I carried myself… I don't know. I think you're either born with it or you're not."
Frehley first left KISS in 1982. He rejoined in 1996 and parted ways with the band once again in 2002 after the conclusion of their first "farewell tour." Since his departure, guitarist Tommy Thayer has assumed the role of the Spaceman.
Frehley's latest album, "Spaceman", was released last October via eOne. Gene co-wrote two tracks on the disc, "Without You I'm Nothing" and "Your Wish Is My Command", the latter of which also features Simmons's bass playing.
Ace has completed work on "Origins Vol. 2", the sequel to his 2016 collection of cover songs that inspired the former KISS guitarist. The disc is tentatively due later this year via Entertainment One (eOne). 5

STRYPER's MICHAEL SWEET Says ROB HALFORD Is 'Right': 'Phones Should Be Put Away So Everyone Can Enjoy The Show'STRYPER's Michael Sweet has defended Rob Halford over the JUDAS PRIEST singer's handling of a fan at a recent concert.
Halford kicked a cell phone out of a fan's hand during PRIEST's May 25 show in Rosemont, Illinois. The incident happened six songs into PRIEST's set at at the Rosemont Theatre where the group was playing as part of its North American tour.
According to eyewitness accounts, Halford appeared frustrated that the fan had turned the light on his camera on while filming the gig, making it harder for the singer to focus on his performance. As a result, Halford decided to kick the cell phone away while the band was playing the song "Judas Rising".
After footage of the incident went viral, Halford issued a statement in which he said: "The facts are we love our fans and you can film us all you like and watch our show on your phone rather than in the flesh. However, if you physically interfere with The Metal God's performance, you now know what will happen."
On Thursday night (May 30), Sweet took to his Facebook page to weigh in on Halford's actions and comments, writing: "I love Rob Halford and he's right. It's hard enough to concentrate on what you're doing onstage let alone with a light/flash in your eyes throughout the entire show blinding you and distracting you. Why is this so hard to understand? Phones should be put away so everyone can enjoy the show. We're talking about a few hours of our lives."
A number of other artists have reacted to the presence of phones at concerts in recent years, including SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor, who smacked a cell phone out of a distracted fan's hands, and IRON MAIDEN's Bruce Dickinson, who lambasted a fan for texting during a show, calling him a "wanker."
STRYPER's "2019 History Tour - Greatest Hits & Covers" kicked off earlier this month and is scheduled to run through mid-June.
JUDAS PRIEST is touring North America in support of its 18th studio album, "Firepower". The band next plays in Dallas on Friday (May 31).

DEADLAND RITUAL Feat. GEEZER BUTLER, MATT SORUM, STEVE STEVENS: Watch Video For New Single 'Broken And Bruised'"Broken And Bruised", the first Michael P. Blevins-directed video from DEADLAND RITUAL, the band featuring bassist Geezer Butler (BLACK SABBATH), guitarist Steve Stevens (BILLY IDOL, VINCE NEIL), drummer Matt Sorum (GUNS N' ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER) and singer Franky Perez (APOCALYPTICA), can be seen below.
The sound of DEADLAND RITUAL isn't typical for any of the members involved and while they all maintain their own distinctive hallmarks, it's united with a renewed spirit and something immediately recognizable as unique.
"I was working on a new solo album when this came to light," Butler noted. "It was appealing for me to work in a band environment because that's what I'm used to, so [it] feels really natural."
As for how the lineup fell into place, when asked who called who when starting the project, Sorum recalled: "Steve and Franky were the first guys I called. We knew we wanted to create a heavier rock sound, but when I contacted Geezer and he agreed to play, I knew this could be a great band. Not long after we connected with producer Greg Fidelman, DEADLAND RITUAL was born.”
Stevens said about his first studio session with Butler: "There's a lot of times in the studio as a guitar player, you get a guitar sound and you're trying to make it work, tweaking it. There was none of that bullshit. It just fit against his bass sound and it was really exciting to me. I get to hear my guitar against a bass guitarist that I've idolized forever."
DEADLAND RITUAL made its U.S. live debut this past Tuesday (May 28) at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California. A European tour will follow in June.
The band released its first song, "Down In Flames", in December. The track, which was produced by Fidelman (METALLICA, SLIPKNOT), was made available via Sonik Riot Records/AWAL powered by Kobalt.
Butler told Billboard that there is no long-term plan for DEADLAND RITUAL at the moment. "We're just going to see how it goes," he said. "We've written seven songs up to now, so we have to get those recorded. We've got quite a few record companies interested. But at first, it was 'have a jam, and let's do some festivals.' But it seems to have gone beyond that, people are taking it more seriously now. So if things work out with the gigs that we do we'll carry on. I'm excited about it. I really like the music we're doing, not restricted to any kind of formula. And as I say, each track stands on its own, different in its own way. I'm really looking forward looking to it."

VADER: Lyric Video For Cover Of JUDAS PRIEST's 'Steeler'Polish extreme metal veterans VADER have just released a new EP titled "Thy Messenger" via Nuclear Blast. The effort contains four of the five songs that were recorded over a week-long period in January and February at Hertz Studio in Białystok, Poland under the supervision of the Wiesławski Brothers. The cover art was painted by Wes Benscoter, who previously worked with VADER on the "De Profundis" LP and has collaborated with such bands as SLAYER, KREATOR and SINISTER. A new full VADER album will be recorded later this year for a tentative autumn release.
"Thy Messenger" track listing:
01. Grand Deceiver
02. Litany
03. Emptiness
04. Despair
05. Steeler (JUDAS PRIEST cover)
The official lyric video for the JUDAS PRIEST cover "Steeler" can be seen below.
VADER mastermind Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek recently stated about "Thy Messenger": "We decided to record the new EP because we knew that the full-length new album won't be released before the end of 2019. We're back on the road in June and we plan to have some new tunes ready for our fans throughout the summer. We're due to start the recording process for the new VADER LP in April in England. For the time being we've named the album '…And Then There Was Only Pain', and it should be completed by the end of May — when 'Thy Messenger' EP is due to be released worldwide. The EP includes three new tracks — mostly really vicious and aggressive tracks, even for VADER. 'Emptiness' is more groovy in the main riff, but really heavy at the end. All the songs are fast and short, but pretty intense, I guess. We've also added a new version of our classic title track from 'Litany'. It is 20 years since we recorded that album at the Red Studio. 'Litany' — as a song — and many more from that album have never been performed live. This album is still one of the fan favorites in the VADER discography and in 2019 we will resurrect this whole record as part of our live shows this autumn. Another bonus is the absolute classic cover of 'Steeler' which was always one of my all-time favorite [JUDAS] PRIEST songs."
VADER's latest studio album, "The Empire", was released in November 2016 via Nuclear Blast. 3

SUICIDAL ANGELS Release Lyric Video For New Song "Born Of Hate"The new album from Greek thrash metal tank Suicidal Angels, entitled Years Of Aggression, will be released on August 9 via NoiseArt Records. A lyric video for the single "Born Of Hate" can be found below.
The band states: "Years Of Aggression on this bloody ground, but we are born of hate! 3 years after the release of Division of Blood, extensive touring and numerous festivals, the time has come to return with a new album! Stay tuned, stay focused, more and more are yet to come and remember, for those who try to take you down, we were, we are the fire and still burns!!”
Founding member, guitarist and singer Nick Melissourgos has prepared the songs, which were subsequently recorded in the Zero Gravity Studios in Athens, Greece, and, in case of the drums, in the Soundlodge Studios in Papenburg, Germany. The album was produced by the band itself, which has for the first time in years a consistent lineup - making them stronger than ever before. Nine songs, driven by irrepressible rage, were finally mixed by Jens Bogren at the Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden, and mastered by Tony Lindgren.

Sascha Paeth's MASTERS OF CEREMONY To Release Debut Album In September; "The Time Has Come" Music Video PostedAfter four or five years of discussions about a possible collaboration with Frontiers, renowned German producer, guitarist, and songwriter Sascha Paeth agreed to join forces with the Italian label and launch his new band, Masters Of Ceremony.
The band's debut album, Signs Of Wings, will be released on September 13 on CD/LP/Digital. Today, fans can get their first look at Sascha Paeth's Masters Of Ceremony with the premiere of their first music video, "The Time Has Come". Watch below.
The album will be available for pre-order on CD, vinyl, limited edition color vinyl, and digital. Stream the single and pre-order the album here.
A limited edition, 180g, gatefold, white vinyl edition of "Signs Of Wings" will be available exclusively on the Frontiers EU and US stores. This pressing is strictly limited to 300 copies worldwide. Fans can get their copy here while supplies last.
Sascha says, “Finally, I am putting my energy into a metal project of my own. It is the sum of my experiences over the years and a bit of a revival of what I was doing in the past.”
Signs Of Wings is much more than a solo album. Sascha put together a great group of musicians including Felix Bohnke (Avantasia) on drums, André Neygenfind (Avantasia) on bass, Corvin Bahn on keyboards, and the awesome American singer Adrienne Cowan (Seven Spires). Offering a wide range of styles within the metal spectrum, from aggressive and straight foward metal songs, to more melodic and symphonic tracks, this record has a bit of everything and is certainly going to strike fans of Sascha's as one of the most inventive, complete, and exciting releases in the metal genre in 2019.
As a 15 year old teenager, you might have found Paeth playing a more bluesy style, or Van Halen-meets-Accept style hard rock, but it wasn’t long before Paeth joined Heaven’s Gate, where the music was harder and heavier. This experience was where he learned to enjoy inspiration from new styles and from new collaborations. It was the start of a long journey through the music business, a journey that is far from over...
To label Sascha Paeth a multi-talented producer, engineer, musician, and songwriter might not quite cover his full set of skills and achievements. The Wolfsburg-born German multi-musician has produced countless bands including Avantasia, Kamelot, Rhapsody, Epica, and more. Having worked on, produced, and engineered over 200 albums since 1988, it’s fair to say he has a reputation for being at the forefront of shaping the European melodic power metal sound.
Tracklisting:
"The Time Has Come"
"Die Just A Little"

"Where Would It Be"
"My Anarchy"
"Wide Awake"
"The Path"
"Sick"
"Weight Of The World"
"Bound In Vertigo"

DEATH NOTE SILENCE Return To High School Angst With New Video "Forgotten"Quebec's Death Note Silence is hitting hard with their latest video, for the track "Forgotten". This high impact, full throttle music video is complete with deep gutturals, accented with well-timed breakdowns and clean guitar harmonies that prove Death Note Silence is the next up and coming band in the underground Canadian metal scene.
"Forgotten" is off the self-titled EP that was released in October 2018, which followed the 2016 album, Code Of Silence. The band explains the meaning behind the song "Forgotten": "This song is talking about someone put aside in high school. Someone that went through it, had it the hard way but made his way through it. You can feel the hate, unity and a sense of accomplishment."
Moving forward, Death Note Silence provides a massive wall of sound that is more mature lyrically, but retains a touch of teen angst and is energetic and heavily complimented with gang vocals that engage the audience.
Check out the artwork and tracklisting for the self-titled EP from Death Note Silence:
"Hate"
"Forgotten"
"Living The Passion"
"Short Lived"
"Interlude" (Instrumental)
"Behind Your Screen"
"Honestly"
"The Follower"
"Prologue Of A Murder"

Exclusive: FRANKLIN ZOO Premiere “The Chameleon” VideoThe new single "The Chameleon" represents a piece of what stems from an almost clean slate for the Copenhagen-based progressive rock band, Franklin Zoo.
Even though their prior record Red Skies (Mighty Music, 2016) received much appraisal as an album and live tour, the group needed to find a new expression and a new theme. Thus, they parted ways with existential misery, depression, loss and death and set their sights on life, resilience, cohesion, social responsibility, and authenticity with less of a nihilistic backdrop, while still maintaining the dark contrasts that let life's light shine through.
This reflects the music, which is now at times more dynamic and lighter and at times still aggressive, dark and merciless. Overall, the music is more varied within and between each song than ever before in order to reflect the nuances of a heartfelt life.
“The Chameleon” is the first single from what is to become a full-length concept album.
The song is about over-adaption as a way to self-destruct by pleasing too much and thus becoming inauthentic and toxic to oneself and others; no matter if one's intent is ill or not. Check out the new single, premiered by BraveWords:

DESTRUCTION: Official Visualizer For 'Born To Perish' Title TrackGerman thrash metal veterans DESTRUCTION will release their 17th studio album, "Born To Perish", on August 9 via Nuclear Blast. The disc was recorded in January and February 2019 with V.O. Pulver (PRO-PAIN, BURNING WITCHES, NERVOSA) at Little Creek Studios in Switzerland and is the first DESTRUCTION album to feature Randy Black on drums and second guitarist Damir Eskic.
Today, the band has unleashed the visualizer video for the first single and vicious title track, "Born To Perish".
Frontman Schmier states: "The title track was the first song we wrote for the new record and it definitely shows the strength that DESTRUCTION has in 2019. It immediately set the bar high for the rest of the album. It features everything that we stand for: speed, picking, variety and punch. Randy came up with some very cool drum patterns and Damir offered up a really crunchy solo part, so both new members are heavily involved here!"
Guitar player Mike adds: "We started the song with some drum patterns that Randy gave us and adjusted some riff ideas we had. It was a nice challenge to write some tight right hand picking for a 212 beats per minute song. As a guitar player this is close to my speed limit, especially on the triplets — great fun to play though!"
The cover artwork for "Born To Perish" was created by acclaimed artist Gyula from Hungary, who has also worked with ANNIHLATOR, GRAVE DIGGER, STRATOVARIUS, TANKARD and many more.
Gyula stated: "Schmier wanted to get a simple and different image than my previous DESTRUCTION covers. When we discussed the new concept, I was happy with this approach because I had the chance to use a different tool, no painting but ink-drawing style.
"When the band mentioned the album title, I got the idea of a crest composition without the typical brave lion or eagle but vultures with two heads and we filled the image with several symbols.
"I love this DESTRUCTION cover — maybe my fave I did for them so far!"
Schmier added: "We wanted something basic this time. I had something like an emblem in mind, a stamp, a DESTRUCTION coat of arms.
"We had so many great colorful graphical covers in the past; this dark album title needed something different.
"This record marks the debut of the four-piece DESTRUCTION again. I am very happy with the result and that the great Gyula understood right away what direction we wanna go — the album is vicious, dark and hard-hitting. The cover art is the perfect prelude for that."
Schmier recently told France's Duke TV about the making of DESTRUCTION's upcoming album: "It's a process that took us three months — writing, recording and mixing. The new influence of the guys is there, because there's more shredding leads. Randy is a very solid, very tight player — very groovy also. You can hear that. We tried to make songs this time that are hitting on the target faster — the songs hit you right away. It's brutal, but it's very catchy. So you hear the songs the first time, right away you will remember [them]. You don't write an album like this every time. Sometimes you write songs, and after a while, you're, like, 'It's maybe too complicated,' because you wanna be an artist, you wanna express yourself. I think this time we managed to write an album that's very punchy."
"Born To Perish" track listing:
01. Born To Perish
02. Inspired By Death
03. Betraya

06. Butchered For Life
07. Tyrants Of The Netherworld
08. We Breed Evil
09. Fatal Flight 17

Damir is a Swiss guitar player of Bosnian decent who works as a guitar teacher, himself being a former pupil of Tommy Vetterli (CORONER). He also plays in a heavy metal band called GOMORRA and previously contributed three solos to DESTRUCTION's 2016 album "Under Attack".
DESTRUCTION previously played with two guitarists in the late 1980s (with the addition of Harry Wilkens) and then again throughout much of the 1990s (Michael "Ano" Piranio).

CERBERUS Premiers "Last Dance" Music VideoMexico’s metal juggernauts, Cerberus, will release their new album, Fire!, on July 12. Today, the band unveils a video for the new single, "Last Dance".
Commenting on the new single, Paul Wrath says, “5 years have passed since our debut album Otura Ka was released and we haven’t written a ballad since then... so for this album we decided to make it right and we added two ballads to the table! This one has more of a southern vibe, but it was always a side we wanted to explore and we’re really happy the way it turned out.”
“This album means a lot to us, our original drummer got back in the band but at the same time our rhythm guitar player quit, so we had mixed feelings throughout the recording, still we’re super proud the way it came out. We had the opportunity to work with people we’ve always admired so much! So that was definitely a dream came true. We knew we needed the best team for working on the best music we’ve done so far. So, we knew we needed to be the best performers we could as well, so we put 110% in every aspect of the recording of this album for it to be the best we could deliver.” - vocalist / guitarist Paul Wrath on the creation of Fire!
Fire! was recorded at Twilight Sound Studios by Paul Wrath, Akashsa Sound Lab in Mexico City by Güido Laris and El Cielo Recording Studio in Monterrey by Jim Monti (Metallica, Korn, Slipknot), and Adrian “Rojo” Treviño. The record was mixed by 5-time Grammy Award winning producer Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Halestorm, In Flames) and mastered at Sterling Sound by Ted Jensen (Pantera, Deftones, Slipknot). The record’s bonus track “STFU” was mixed by Metallica producer Greg Fidelman. Album artwork was done by Dan Scholz at Affliction Clothing.
