We want to continue that tradition in Runaway’s fully-immersive vacation trips. Get ready, we’ll see you out there!”

RAMMSTEIN guitarist Paul Landers recently told Music Radar that the band's follow-up to 2009's "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da" album could arrive next spring. He said: "What we've been mainly doing is playing together in a circle, with all the guys in one room.
We all go into the mixing desk and I had my PL1 prototype going direct. Same for the some of the other guys — our drummer Christoph Schneider has these electronic drums, so we've been using that to play a bunch of ideas together.
"It hasn't been like a pre-production where each member is alone — it's been more of an all-together kind of thing. We liked the sound of it so much that we've decided to make the record more of a band-unit recording than a bunch of guys playing separately."
Landers added: "We'll have to see how it all ends up on the record, but the basic idea is you are hearing a band playing — you could say it's inspired by our live sound."
Over the summer, RAMMSTEIN revealed that the new record was entering its "final phase" of production.
In 2016 and 2017, RAMMSTEIN played a number of concerts where the band opened each show with a brand new song, presently only known as "Ramm 4". The track contained lyrics that seemed to be a combination of various titles of previous RAMMSTEIN songs. 38

Video Premiere: ALICE IN CHAINS' 'Never Fade'ALICE IN CHAINS has released the official video for its song "Never Fade". The track is taken from the band's sixth studio album, "Rainier Fog", which arrived in August. The clip was directed by Adam Mason, who previously helmed ALICE IN CHAINS' video for "The One You Know".
"The 'Never Fade' video is a continuation of 'The One You Know'," said ALICE IN CHAINS vocalist/guitarist William DuVall. "The full story will gradually be revealed. For now, check out what we love to do best — play live and tell a story with our music."
DuVall revealed in a recent interview with Kerrang! that "Never Fade" was inspired by his grandmother, late SOUNDGARDEN frontman Chris Cornell, and late ALICE IN CHAINS vocalist Layne Staley.
William explained: "I think there was some residue from the past lingering, but the ghosts were benevolent, they were there to help, not hinder. I wrote the lyrics to the song 'Never Fade' right there in Studio X. I thought, 'I'm not leaving this room until I chase this song down.' I sang about the history, all the songs that had been written, all the arguments among bands and discussions about the future."
b>Studio X, formerly known as Bad Animals, was where ALICE IN CHAINS recorded its last album with Staley on vocals in 1995 and where the group returned to work on its new LP, "Rainier Fog". DuVall continued: "I was thinking about my grandmother, who'd just died a few months earlier; thinking about Layne Staley, thinking about Chris Cornell, who'd just passed a month before — just letting it wash over, and at the end, I walked out into the dawn and felt I'd had a significant spiritual experience. It couldn't have happened anywhere else."
The band's first new studio effort in five years, "Rainier Fog" marks a few firsts for ALICE IN CHAINS: it's their first album for BMG and their first time recording in their hometown of Seattle in more than 20 years (worth noting that the album title is a tribute to Seattle). The "Rainier Fog" recording process also saw the band spend time at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles and at the Nashville studio of producer Nick Raskulinecz. "Rainier Fog" is the third straight ALICE IN CHAINS album recorded with Raskulinecz and engineer Paul Figueroa. The album was mixed by Joe Barresi (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, TOOL).

OZZY OSBOURNE Is 'Fully Recovered' From Life-Threatening Thumb InfectionOzzy Osbourne says that he is "fully recovered" from the staph infection that required him to have surgery on his hand and cancel four shows earlier this month.
The legendary BLACK SABBATH singer issued a video message earlier today thanking his fans for their "concern." He added: "My thumb is fully recovered now. I am looking forward to seeing you all this New Year's Eve at the Forum with Ozzfest. It's gonna be great. Be there."
Ozzy is headlining a special one-night-only version of Ozzfest on New Year's Eve (December 31) at the Forum in Los Angeles, where he'll be joined by ROB ZOMBIE, MARILYN MANSON, KORN frontman Jonathan Davis, ZAKK SABBATH, BODY COUNT and two other acts. The evening will end with Ozzy leading the crowd in the countdown to 2019 at midnight.
Ozzfest began as a groundbreaking traveling festival in 1996 and has morphed over the years into an occasional and sometimes annual destination event. Ozzy told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that he was okay with Ozzfest becoming an on-again, off-again event. "If it takes off again, fine," he said. "If it doesn't, well, that's also fine because, you know, it's been great for us. I mean, we've had a… I'm really happy that we've been able to launch new bands into the arena, you know. A good few many bands got successful from the Ozzfest. You know, we'll see what happens. You never know, it could go on, it could not."
he BLACK SABBATH singer and solo artist recently spoke with Rolling Stone about the staph infection. Ozzy recalled about his visit to the emergency room. "I didn't feel sick, so I was cracking jokes," he said. "The doctor said, 'I don't know if you realize, Mr. Osbourne, this is a very serious problem you have.'"
Ozzy ended up with not one but three staph infections in his thumb and middle finger. He described the surgery, saying: "They cut all this stuff out. Even with the numbing stuff, it was agony. It wasn't pus, but it was the stage after pus, when it gets in the blood and goes in your body and fucking kills you. It may sound fucked up what I’m saying to you, but [the doctor] was really concerned about checking my blood."
The singer has already rescheduled the four scrapped shows for July 2019.

A performance video of the song "I'll Never Let You Go", taken from "Rock'n Milan", can be seen below.

I hope you all enjoy this video and album. So much more to come. Love you all!"
The band stormed the stage ahead of the, at the time, forthcoming release of their comeback album, "Through Worlds of Stardust", which is represented with the inclusion of "My Dirty Girl", while the rest of the setlist includes STEELHEART classics. WHITECHAPEL To Release 'The Valley' Album In MarchOn March 29, Knoxville, Tennessee death metallers WHITECHAPEL will release their seventh full-length album, "The Valley", via Metal Blade Records. Produced once again by Mark Lewis (CANNIBAL CORPSE, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER) and featuring artwork by Branca Studio, the disc's title is a reference to the part of Hardin Valley (west of Knoxville) where vocalist Phil Bozeman grew up. Set against this backdrop, he approaches his subject matter unflinchingly, building upon everything that came before, making it clear that he has survived that which he was forced to endure and is not afraid to confront it.
"Phil has been upfront in his lyrics in the past about hardships he endured in his life as a child, and I believe with this record we tried to paint a better picture of that," says guitarist Alex Wade, who alongside his bandmates, stands a hundred percent behind everything their vocalist has to say. "I feel our music is Phil's release from his past, being able to get it out and speak about it, and hopefully anyone who hears it that may have gone through similar experiences can find some release in it as well."
For a preview of "The Valley", the first single, "Brimstone", can be heard below.
Anyone throwing "The Valley" on for the first time will immediately recognize it as the work of WHITECHAPEL, yet, as has been the case with each release, there is also evolution in play. "Sound-wise, it's all over the place," Bozeman states plainly. "There's aggression, and then you're hit with ominous and emotional guitar riffs. It's mean, but then transfers to soft and inviting. It's a whirlwind of emotions throughout."
b>"The Valley" track listing:
01. When A Demon Defiles A Witch
02. Forgiveness Is Weakness
03. Brimstone
04. Hickory Creek
05. Black Bear
06. We Are One
07. The Other Side
08. Third Depth
09. Lovelace
10. Doom Woods
Starting today, WHITECHAPEL will be on the road for their "Ten Years of Exile" USA tour, commemorating the 10th anniversary of "This Is Exile". Featuring CHELSEA GRIN, OCEANO and SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL as support, this trek will see WHITECHAPEL perform "This Is Exile" in its entirety, plus a selection of other songs — and will be the last run of shows before the band tours in support of "The Valley". 2

RED CAIN Release “Wing Of The Crow” Video Featuring KOBRA AND THE LOTUS’ KOBRA PAIGEBorn out of the emerging metal scene of Calgary, AB, Red Cainis a modern melodic metal project with European roots. With intricate songwriting, a heavy yet melodic feel reminiscent of progressive acts, and eerie ambient elements, Red Cainchampion a fluid, dynamic, and unique musical style centered around telling dark, conceptual Faustian sagas and constructing those into an unforgettable live experience. Described by frontman Evgeniy Zayarny as wanting to bring back the "Devil's music" mysticism all too often missing in modern metal acts, Red Cain delivers flair, groove, and an intricate, lethal edge in their music. Listeners might well pick out elements reminiscent of such luminary acts as Kamelot, Symphony X, Tesseract, Draconian, Marilyn Manson, whipped into a venomous new shape. The current incarnation of the band is all of these influences mixed with a lot of vodka and Eastern European melancholy, shaken and stirred.
Unleashing their self-titled EP in 2016, Red Cain are returning with a debut full length entitled Kindred planned for later release in 2019. Produced by Sascha Laskow (Every Hour Kills, ex-Divinity) with the band at Perfect Filth Studios, Red Cainare extremely proud and excited to have their friend, Kobra and the Lotus vocalist Kobra Paige featured on their next single "Wing Of The Crow". Her work with Kobra and the Lotus needs no introduction, and when it came time to deliver the mighty yet intricate vocals for the Morrigan, the Celtic goddess of war on this track, she was their unanimous choice for the part. The single takes a deep dive into the wonderful, lethal darkness of Celtic mythology with the tale of The Morrigan, goddess of war, and Cuchulainn, a mighty hero daring to turn from her advances - a tale sung by warriors across many campfires on cold winter nights.
The band comments on the new track:
"We are very grateful and humbled by the opportunity to share our vision with such a talented and unique artist, as well as such a wonderful human being - not to mention the opportunity to strengthen the Calgary connection and collaborate with one of the most talented vocalists to come out of our city. So apply your war paint, sharpen your axes, pour some ale, brace yourself against the coming nightfall, and sing with us - this is 'Wing Of The Crow'."

Toronto’s SUPERCHUCKER Launch “Liar” VideoToronto hard rockers Superchucker have just released their debut video for the new track called “Liar”.
The single is the first from their forthcoming (as yet untitled) debut album coming out early-spring 2019. The LP is the follow-up to the band’s excellent self-titled debut EP released April 2018.
Superchucker is comprised of some of the Greater Toronto area’s most respected musicians including Steve Macpherson (Exalted Piledriver/Spewgore), Dave Barrett (renowned Toronto staple/Muffin), Stavros Theodorakopoulos (Muffin), Shawn Pegg and Robert Hassey who have spent some time in the covers circuit.
Musically the band is more known for their metal outputs, but Superchucker only touches on that and drives more down the hard rock road. Shades of Thin Lizzy, Dokken, Van Halen…and a touch of Foo Fighters and Dio come to mind.
You can catch Superchucker’s next GTA performance at the Rockpile in Toronto, Ontario on December 1st.

Exclusive: IOMAIR Premiere “Cavalcade For None” VideoCanada's newest progressive metal band Iomair features a cast of characters from several well-known Toronto metal bands including Vesperia, Astaroth Incarnate, Völur, Hallows Die, Sludgehammer, Bloodmoon Collective and The Silence Factory. Combining haunting violin work with blackened growls, melodic singing, heavy riffs and thundering drums, Iomair creates a style that’s unique for all members involved.
Their self-titled album released on Infamous Butcher Records this past September was written by band founder and drummer Dylan Gowan (Vesperia) as a way to cope with the personal challenges he has faced. The nine-songs on the release are a collection of musical stories that center on the universal themes of love, yearning, trials of life and self-reflection. Spanning a multitude of influences including folk metal, melodic death metal, prog and even Latin music, Iomair aims to delight listeners with often unexpected twists while offering an outlet for hardship. Iomair are suggested for fans of Opeth, Devin Townsend, Porcupine Tree and anyone who enjoys heavy, melodic progressive metal.
BraveWords is ready to reveal their new music video "Cavalcade For None".
Gowan adds about the album:
“All the lyrics involved are about personal struggles, relationships and the trials of life. These experiences inspired me to write so that I could walk away from those experiences intact rather than broken. All of the tracks on the album are all about the personal struggles we all go through in life, and I hope people will find comfort in these songs knowing that they are not alone.”

HELLOWEEN: Unboxing Video For 'Starlight: The Noise Records Collection' Limited-Edition Box SetAn unboxing video for "Helloween - Starlight: The Noise Records Collection" can be seen below. Due on October 26 via Noise Records, it is a deluxe, limited-edition boxset containing all the bands Noise recordings, from the long-out-of-print EPs "Helloween" and "Judas", through their debut album "Walls Of Jericho" to the masterpieces "Keeper Of The Seven Keys" and "Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II" and a new, revised version of "The Best, The Rest, The Rare" that covers all the obscure and rare tracks from the Noise catalog.
Three of these titles have long been out of print on vinyl and all of them are now on color vinyl for the first time.
Formed in Hamburg in 1984, HELLOWEEN is arguably the most influential heavy metal band to come out of Germany. Their benchmark 1987 album "Keeper Of The Seven Keys" is the record that turned the band into bona fide superstars, charting in their native Germany.
The 1988 follow-up, "Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II", propelled them to global stardom and charted in the U.K., Germany and also in the USA where they made serious inroads after touring with the likes of IRON MAIDEN.
he band reunited with classic-lineup members Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske in 2017 for the "Pumpkins United" tour which currently has them headlining arenas and festivals all over the globe, revisiting these classic albums along the way.
Since its inception, HELLOWEEN created the power metal subgenre, released fifteen albums and sold more than eight million records worldwide. 4

DEF CON ONE Feat. Ex-VENOM Drummer ANTTON LANT: New Lineup Announced, 'Martyr To The New Blood' Single ReleasedDEF CON ONE, the British metal band featuring former VENOM and MPIRE OF EVIL drummer Antony "Antton" Lant (brother of VENOM frontman Conrad "Cronos" Lant), has released a new single called "Martyr To The New Blood". The track, which was recorded in Colossus Studios in Newcastle upon Tyne and was mixed and mastered by Andy Mallaby, the bassist from North East deathcore band OSIAH, is the first single from DEF CON ONE's as-yet-untitled new album.
Antton said that he made changes in DEF CON ONE's lineup because "large cracks were beginning to show in certain people's commitments towards the band. After working on an album for over two years, interest from members was fading," he explained. "In early 2017, I was forced to replace some members. Crol Dunn was brought in on guitar and Rodrigo BVevino was brought in on vocals.
"Writing and recording was going so well, with a snippet of 'Brute Force And Ignorance' getting released and receiving overwhelming reviews," he continued. "Unfortunately, Rodrigo was given some terrible news and sadly passed away later the same year. I wasn't sure what to do at this stage, but after being contacted and receiving alot of recordings from various singers wanting to join the band, we decided to concentrate on writing and recording until the right person was found to sing for the band. We auditioned quite a few singers, and we feel Danny's ability and personality will fit the band 110%.
"With a fresh new guitar and vocal style, we needed a bassist with the skill to perform complex riffing. Brian's sound and attitude fits right in, giving the band a new lease of life and opening up new possibilities and experiences. The band is now putting the finishing touches to the new tracks."
b>DEF CON ONE has been hard at work writing rehearsing and recording tracks for the new album and promises it to be a "killer" LP from start to finish.
DEF CON ONE is:
Antton Lant - Drums
Danny Hagar Jnr. - Vocals.
Crol "Crolossal" Dunn - Guitars, vocals
Brian "Sass" Bell - Bass, Vocals

NOVEMBERS DOOM Signs With PROPHECY PRODUCTIONSthis_inline_share_toolbox'>
Chicago death/doom metallers NOVEMBERS DOOM have inked a deal with Prophecy Productions.
From early on, the band has left its mark on the global metal scene and become a renowned musical force. Formed in 1989 by vocalist and lyricist Paul Kuhr, it has evolved from mournfully slow compositions into an entity that defies categorization, combining varied musical styles and elements without abandoning their roots.
From 1995's "Amid Its Hallowed Mirth" through 2005's "The Pale Haunt Departure" to "Hamartia" in 2016, the group has constantly reinvented itself to cultivate a unique style of death doom that makes them immediately recognizable. Leaping nimbly from peak to peak, the musicians have gained a worldwide following, performing shows and festivals throughout North America, Europe, and South America to critical acclaim. With ambitions to continue building upon their grandiose vision, Kuhr and co. are now looking forward to their 30th anniversary.
By signing to Prophecy Productions and preparing their highly anticipated next album, NOVEMBERS DOOM hope to expand their sonic scope and audience even further. "In our long career," comments Kuhr, "we have learned a great deal and made many mistakes. Never before have we felt so welcome, and honestly part of something that we feel has the greatest potential for our music to reach more people. We are excited to take this leap forward as we begin to write the next chapter of our amazing journey, proud to join the Prophecy family."

Ontario’s CECILE MONIQUE Announces Release Of Debut Album GenesisOn the heels of her viral cover of Rammstein’s “Reise, Reise,” Ontario independent Gothic Symphonic artist Cecile Monique is ending the year on a high note with the release of her full-length album, Genesis.
“This album is definitely the culmination of several years’ worth of writing and planning, and I’m so thrilled to finally realize my goal of releasing a full-length album of my own original material,” says Cecile Monique of the release. “While it was extremely humbling to reach so many new listeners with my Rammstein cover this year, I still felt very strongly about ending the year with new, original music, and I really hope that Genesis will give listeners a feel for where I’m at stylistically and how my music has hopefully evolved over the years.”
The album, which was supported by the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund, was written, arranged and coproduced by Cecile Monique and features twelve original compositions in her darkly opulent signature style. The album was tracked, mixed and co-produced by Kevin Dietz (Silverchair, Stone Sour, Between the Buried and Me), who has worked with Cecile Monique on all of her previous releases to date.
Genesis, which examines themes of post-apocalyptic rebirth, loss, and survival, draws upon Cecile Monique’s classical background and interweaves operatic, choral and symphonic arrangements alongside infectious vocal hooks, hard-hitting, metal-inspired guitar riffs and ripping solos. “My hope is that this album will appeal equally to fans of rock, metal and classical music, and that the universality of the theme of the album will reach as many people as possible. This album is about new beginnings and inner strength, so I hope that it has a message that all listeners can relate to and resonate with.”
Genesis will be available on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, and all major digital platforms on worldwide on November 2nd.
Monique will hold an album release party Saturday, November 3rd at the Starlight in Waterloo, ON. Get tickets at this location.

AFTERSHOK Release "Forever In Metal" Music Video“Forever In Metal”, the new video from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based classic metal band Aftershok, can be viewed below. The track comes from their 2016 studio album, Detonate (Auburn Records).
Guitarist George Mihalovich states: “'Forever In Metal' is our first official video because we think it is a solid representation of our style. We chose to use a slightly different mixing and mastering scheme from the album version of the song because it comes across a little better in this format. Thanks to our good friend Nigel Clark (who also did the photography for Detonate) for his incredible patience in helping us to create something that reflects the intent and message of the music. Additional thanks to our former bassist Nick Gryzka for his guest appearance.”
On Detonate, guitarist George Mihalovich and drummer George Borden joined forces with new vocalist Gord Sheffroth from New Brunswick, Canada, to create 13 tracks of modern classic metal. Sheffroth replaces vocalist Vic Hix (Shok Paris) who appeared on the band's first two albums, Unfinished Business (2002) and Burning Chrome (2005).
The album was recorded by Jim Dofka at JK Musicians Workshop in Washington, Pennsylvania and mastered by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering in Los Angeles, California. The cover art and layout design were created by Alex Yarborough.

BEAST IN BLACK: 'From Hell With Love' Cover Artwork UnveiledThe cover artwork for BEAST IN BLACK's sophomore album, "From Hell With Love", can be seen below. The follow-up to 2017's "Berserker" is scheduled for a February 8, 2019 release via Nuclear Blast.
BEAST IN BLACK is the Helsinki, Finland-based metal band led by former BATTLE BEAST guitarist and main songwriter Anton Kabanen.
The "From Hell With Love" art was once again created by Roman Ismailov, who was the original illustrator and graphic artist for BATTLE BEAST.
Anton comments: "This album was forged with passion, fury, love, dedication and I would even dare to say with maniacal obsession. And once again, the stunning artwork by Roman perfectly captures the essence of what it was made of. This album is truly a creation that will burst from hell with love."
dds Ismailov: "It resembles a love-hate relationship in things that are part of our lives. Some things are like a beast that is almost impossible to tame. Then there is the love in what you do, which can overcome even the hardest obstacles."
BEAST IN BLACK will support NIGHTWISH on a European tour beginning on November 2 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
"Berserker", was released last November via Nuclear Blast. The disc was produced by Kabanen and recorded primarily at his studio, Sound Quest Studio.
Kabanen told Kaaos TV that BEAST IN BLACK was pleased with the reaction to "Berserker". "We had no expectations, basically," he said. "We felt that, 'Okay, we did a good job,' and were happy with the album and the reviews kept coming in and they kept coming and it was more than we expected. Good and bad, but mostly good. YouTube is a big part nowadays for every band and there, we also kind of took a 'rocket launch' beginning. People are watching the video very much, the first music video we released. That also plays a big role nowadays. One song can matter very much. People don't have that much album listening going on in this world nowadays. They listen to single songs in their playlists, so we've had help with that."
Anton went on to say that he was relieved that BEAST IN BLACK has gotten off to such a strong start. "I remember when we finally released the first song and the feedback started to come. It felt like I was out of jail, so to speak. It's been a long process. When you work on something for quite a long time, you don't know any more what's the reality, is it good or bad, you become blind to your own stuff, but you do. When it was out, the first song, it felt like, 'Yes! It's working. People like it.' We did something that's meaningful and that feels rewarding. It's like an out-of-the-jail feeling, although I've never been in jail, but mental jail, mental prison."
Kabanen was dismissed from BATTLE BEAST in February 2015 due to what was described at the time as "insurmountable disagreements" with the other members of the band. 5

Here Is The First Taste Of QUEENSRŸCHE's 'The Verdict' AlbumSeveral audio snippets of the upcoming QUEENSRŸCHE album, "The Verdict", can be heard in the trailer for the band's North American tour with FATES WARNING. Due on March 1, 2019 via Century Media Records, the disc was produced, mixed, and mastered by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (ROB ZOMBIE, ICED EARTH, HATEBREED) at Uberbeatz in Lynwood, Washington; Planet-Z in Wilbraham, Massachusetts; and Watershed Studio in Seattle, Washington.
"I'm extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish on this record," states QUEENSRŸCHE vocalist Todd La Torre. "The relentless dedication and hard work of everyone involved has been very rewarding. I am excited and looking forward to it no longer just belonging to us, but belonging to the world. We hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!"
Michael "Whip" Wilton (guitar) adds: "'The Verdict' is the most metal and the most progressive record we have made in a long time. I couldn't possibly be more excited for everyone to hear this."
QUEENSRŸCHE's spring U.S. headline tour with special guests FATES WARNING will kick off on March 2 in Orlando, making stops in major markets such as New York, Atlanta, Chicago, and Los Angeles, and will wrap on April 3 in Seattle. THE CRINGE will be joining both bands on select dates.
b>Todd spoke about "The Verdict"'s musical direction with Eclectic Arts, saying: "It's got more driving songs on this record than the last one… I think there's elements that are more progressive — some different time signatures. It's a good-flowing album. There's some slow, kind of haunting, creepy, cool stuff on this record," he continued. "Like I say, there's more progressive elements on this one, I think — certainly more, I think, than the last one. The song 'Condition Hüman' was kind of progressive in QUEENSRŸCHE's standards, so there's kind of some of those elements going on. Really good lyrical content — thought-provoking stuff. Certainly never trying to tell anyone what to think, but to think. Again, a lot of it deals with things that are happening in the world that everyone can identify with and relate to. I tried to have some really good vocal acrobatics on this [album]. There's not a ton of high singing, but there's some high stuff on there vocally. I mean, it just sounds like a great QUEENSRŸCHE album to me. But you never know until you put it out to everyone, and then it's not yours anymore."
For the past 18 months, drummer Scott Rockenfield has been taking time off from QUEENSRŸCHE's touring activities to spend time with his young son, who was born in early 2017. Filling in for him is former KAMELOT drummer Casey Grillo. However, QUEENSRŸCHE has not yet indicated if Rockenfield was involved with the making of "The Verdict", although it did confirm that Grillo did not play on the record.
"The Verdict" will mark QUEENSRŸCHE's third full-length release with La Torre, following the departure of Geoff Tate in 2012.

Original SAINT VITUS Bassist MARK ADAMS Is Suffering From Parkinson's DiseaseA GoFundMe campaign has been launched for original SAINT VITUS bassist Mark Adams, who is suffering from Parkinson's disease. All funds raised through the campaign will be directed to Adams's medical needs and ability to live.
Adams, who is not able to afford proper heath care and is in need of assistance, has been absent from some of SAINT VITUS's recent tours. Playing bass for the group has been former CROWBAR and current DOWN bassist Pat Bruders.
Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. It is mostly characterized by the trembling of hands, imbalance while walking and constant involuntary fidgeting of the body.
There is no cure for Parkinson's disease, but medications, surgery and multidisciplinary management can provide relief from the symptoms.
arkinson's disease has been affecting many musicians in recent years. Singers Linda Ronstadt and Neil Diamond suffer from it, and in February, MR. BIG drummer Pat Torpey died from complications of Parkinson's disease at the age of 64.
JUDAS PRIEST guitarist Glenn Tipton was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease four years ago — after being stricken by the condition at least half a decade earlier — but only recently announced he was going to sit out touring activities in support of PRIEST's latest album, "Firepower".
In a recent interview, SAINT VITUS guitarist Dave Chandler revealed that the band has "pretty much a whole [new] album" written. The follow-up to 2012's "Lillie: F-65" will mark SAINT VITUS's first LP with original singer Scott Reagers since 1995's "Die Healing".

LAST UNION Featuring MIKE LePOND, ULI KUSCH, JAMES LaBRIE Reveal Complete Details For Debut AlbumItalian progressive metal band, Last Union, featuring Mike LePond (Symphony X) on bass, Uli Kusch (ex-Helloween, ex-Masterplan) on drums, and as guest James LaBrie (Dream Theater) on vocals, have announced the release of their debut album, Twelve, on December 21st via ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records.
Strong and positive reactions to their music spurred Scarpeccio and Tiberi on to take the first of many bold steps. The first was to invite drummer Uli Kusch to join the fold, who expressed interest in joining the band as a full member rather than just a touring drummer after hearing the music. A similar scenario played out with Symphony X bassist Mike LePond and Last Union was officially born. The icing on the cake, however, was getting Dream Theater vocalist James LaBrie to sing on three tracks.
The quiet city of Tolentino in the Marche region of Central Italy not only boasts a rich historical background, it is also the place progressive metal band Last Union calls home. Founded by vocalist Elisa Scarpeccio, guitarist Cristiano Tiberi and keyboardist Claudio Feliziani in 2007, the band - originally known as Blazing Ice - embarked on their journey in the pursuit of sharing their thoughts and feelings about life, and ultimately their art, with the world. With the assistance of professional session bassists and drummers, the trio established themselves on the Italian scene with a string of shows that helped them evolve and refine their craft. Over the course of 20 shows, Last Union presented songs that would eventually make the final cut for their debut album.
The effort was mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren, best known for his work with Arch Enemy, Symphony X, Devin Townsend, Angra, and Opeth, to name a few. The album artwork was created by Thomas Ewerhard (Avantasia, Rage, Threshold).
Tracklisting:
"Most Beautiful Day"
"President Evil" (Feat. James LaBrie)
"Hardest Way"
"Purple Angels"
"The Best Of Magic"
"Taken" (Feat. James LaBrie) - Radio Edit
"18 Euphoria"
"A Place In Heaven" (Feat. James LaBrie)
"Ghostwriter"
"Limousine"
"Back In The Shadow"
"Taken" (Feat. James LaBrie)
"President Evil" (Feat. James LaBrie) - Video Version
The album can be pre-ordered here, or here.
Last Union is:
Elisa Scarpeccio - Vocals
Cristiano Tiberi - Guitars
Mike LePond - Bass (Symphony X)
Uli Kusch - Drums (ex-Helloween, ex-Masterplan)

Video Premiere: POWERMAN 5000's Footsteps And Voices'POWERMAN 5000 has released the official music video for the song "Footsteps And Voices". The track is taken from the band's latest album, "New Wave", which was released in October 2017 via Pavement Entertainment.
POWERMAN 5000 vocalist Spider One told Artist Waves about the inspiration for "New Wave": "I wanted to make a record that I wasn't hearing in the rock world. I can't say I'm much of a fan of what I'm hearing these days. Rock has become pretty controlled. There is a very middle-of-the-road feeling I get from most bands and lyrically I hear a lot of generic sentiments. So, I guess, personally I was frustrated and inspired to do something that went against all that."
Regarding the overall sound of the follow-up to 2014's "Builders Of The Future", Spider One said: "We went a bit dirtier on this one. Ripped it up more than the last couple of records. One of the goals was to recreate the noise of the live show. Keep in the chaos."
Spider One told the Farmington Daily Times that "the most important ingredient" in the band's ascent in the early 1990s "was the absence of the Internet. And what I mean by that is how the Internet has changed music and monetized it. Nobody ever thinks about that, but what it did is, it killed the local sound. Before music was instantly available through downloads, musical sounds would germinate over the course of years in places like Seattle or Austin. Now, that's just been eliminated. If a band comes out with a unique sound, everybody copies it right away."

Video Premiere: JONATHAN DAVIS's 'Basic Needs'KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has released the official music video for the track "Basic Needs". The song is taken from his recently released "Black Labyrinth" solo album. The clip weaves an emotional story that perfectly accompanies the themes of the track.
Speaking about the latest single, Jonathan said: "'Basic Needs' is essentially as close as I get to writing a love song. It also gave me a chance to explore different instruments and styles of world music, and step outside of what may be considered 'the norm.' The two other videos I've released for this record have been telling a story in reverse. This video continues that pattern."
Davis first started assembling songs for the solo project in 2007, frequently writing and recording while on tour with KORN. Digging the material back out late last year, he dusted the tracks off for release 10 years after those initial studio sessions.
"I've been waiting 11 years for this to come out," he said. "It's really good to finish something which I started so long ago. It's something I'm really proud of. I've been very patient with it. It's been sat on my laptop for many years, so it feels really good to be able to finally release it, to talk about it and play it live."
he lead single from the album — "What It Is" — peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart earlier this year and has garnered 3.1 million streams on Spotify and 6.6 million views on YouTube. Digging deeper into the track's meaning, Jonathan said: "No matter how hard you try to fight bad things in your life, life will be what it is. It's up to you to accept that, combat it, and move forward, or it's up to you to be in denial. Then, it becomes a thorn in your side until you finally deal with it. This is it. Just deal with it." 1

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA Feat. SOILWORK, ARCH ENEMY Members: 'Can't Be That Bad' Video"Can't Be That Bad", the new video from the Swedish classic/progressive rock supergroup THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA — featuring members of SOILWORK and ARCH ENEMY — can be seen below. The song is taken from THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA's fourth studio album, "Sometimes The World Ain't Enough", which was released in June via Nuclear Blast. The disc was again produced by the bandmembers themselves and was recorded at Handsome Hard Music / Larsson Music Studio as well as Nordic Sound Lab in Skara, Sweden. Mixing duties were taken on by the band's guitarist/percussionist Sebastian Forslund and mastering was done by Thomas "Plec" Johansson at The Panic Room.
Just like 2017's "Amber Galactic", the LP features two different covers — one for the regular and the other for the limited edition.
The limited first-edition digipack CD, as well as the vinyl, includes an exclusive bonus track. The Japanese version also features an additional cut.
"Sometimes The World Ain't Enough" track listing:
1. This Time
02. Turn To Miami
03. Paralyzed
04. Sometimes The World Ain't Enough
05. Moments Of Thunder
06. Speedwagon
07. Lovers In The Rain
08. Can't Be That Bad
09. Pretty Thing Closing In
10. Barcelona
11. Winged And Serpentine
12. The Last Of The Independent Romantics
13. Marjorie (limited-edition digipack CD and vinyl bonus track)
14. Pacific Priestess (Japanese bonus track)
THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA said in a statement: "THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA returns with another chapter in their steaming space opera that began with 'Amber Galactic'.
"This time, the female space commanders want even more revenge than they already had, space is even more infinite, and the amount of champagne it takes to keep this navy afloat and adrift in the cosmos is probably illegal on most planets!
"Never looking back, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA boldly goes where no man or woman has ever gone before, and with this album, they've taken another step in their quest to elevate classic rock from being a music genre to becoming an immersive whole-body transcendental experience!
"It's time to prepare yourself, because the riffs will be riffier, the vocals will be throatier, the synthesizers will envelop you, the AOR will be AOR-ier, the long songs will be longer, the short songs will be shorter, the bass will seduce you, the drums will destroy you, the groove will hypnotize and paralyze you. Can you handle it?"
THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA is:
Björn Strid - Vocals
Sharlee D'Angelo - Bass
David Andersson - Guitars
Richard Larsson - Keyboards
Jonas Källsbäck - Drums
Sebastian Forslund - Guitars, Percussion, Special FX
