CORELEONI Feat. GOTTHARD Guitarist, RAINBOW Singer: 'Let It Be' Video"Let It Be", the new video from CORELEONI, the project founded by GOTTHARD guitarist Leo Leoni to pay a very personal tribute to his rock and roll past, can be seen below. The track is taken from CORELEONI's debut album, "The Greatest Hits - Part 1", which was released in February via Frontiers Music Srl.
Leo Leoni is joined in CORELEONI by Ronnie Romero (LORDS OF BLACK, RAINBOW) on vocals, Hena Habegger on drums, Jgor Gianola on guitar and Mila Merker on bass.
Says Leo: "On the 25th anniversary of the release of the first GOTTHARD album, I wanted to pay tribute to songs like 'Downtown', 'Firedance', 'Higher', 'Here Comes The Heat', 'In The Name', 'Ride On…', 'Let It Be' and 'All I Care 4'. Songs that with GOTTHARD we have kind of left aside. We've re-recorded, refreshed, and 're-brushed' them in a respectful way. These songs are very dear to me and they are part of a period that will remain forever with me."
Leoni dusted these songs off and brough a new life to these overlooked masterpieces from his past.
b>"Walk On Water" is the sole new track featured on "The Greatest Hits - Part 1".
"This CORELEONI project made me feel so many emotions and memories, filling my heart with joy," says Leo. "I hope hearing these new versions gives all the GOTTHARD fans, especially the ones who knew and loved the band in the early days, the same great emotions that it has brought to me."

GENESIS Guitar Legend STEVE HACKETT To Release At The Edge Of Light Album In January; Details RevealedFollowing the tremendous success of 2017’s The Night Siren (charted at #22 in Germany, #28 in the UK), legendary former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett announces the release of his new studio album, At The Edge Of Light, on January 25th.
The album, which features ten songs, sees Steve unite a vast amount of styles ranging from guitar driven rock to epic orchestration, from world music to the reflective and atmospheric all brought together in Steve Hackett’s unique style.
Steve says: “In these dangerous times, deep shadows feel even sharper than usual and we find ourselves standing at the edge of light... The contrast between dark and light weaves its way throughout the album in many ways, from the sense of good fighting evil through to the interplay of dark and light opposites magically combining in cultures, including the heartbeat of India and primal tribal rhythms. Ultimately, this album embraces the need for all musical forms and cultures to connect and celebrate the wonder of unity in this divided world.”
At The Edge Of Light is released in a number of formats including a Mediabook CD plus extra DVD with 5.1 surround sound mix & behind the scenes documentary, double vinyl LP + CD, Jewelcase CD and digital album.
Steve Hackett has established himself as one of rock music’s finest and recognizable guitarists through his time with the legendary Genesis who he joined in 1971 and a solo career following his departure from Genesis in 1977 and is a hugely influential guitarist particularly in the progressive rock genre. At The Edge Of Light will be Hackett’s 26th studio album in a solo career that began in 1975 with the release of his debut solo album, Voyage Of The Acolyte.
At The Edge Of Light was mainly recorded in Steve's own studio but also around the world. The album features international artists, including Durga and Loreley of Pink Floyd vocal fame with drummers Nick D'Virgilio and Simon Phillips from USA, Sheema on sitar from India, Icelandic drummer/percussionist Gulli Briem, tar player Malik Mansurov and Swedish bass player Jonas Reingold. This album also features Paul Stillwell on didgeridoo, Rob Townsend on sax, bass clarinet and duduk, Amanda Lehmann on vocals, John Hackett on flute, drummer Gary O’Toole, Roger King and Ben Fenner on keyboards, Dick Driver on double bass, violinist and viola player Christine Townsend. All magically honed and engineered by Roger King.

OCEANHOARSE Announces New SingerA few months ago, Helsinki-based heavy metal quartet OCEANHOARSE announced a sudden and unfortunate lineup change. Singer Tommy Tuovinen had to step down from his frontman duties due to a severe case of hearing loss. After getting over the initial shock, OCEANHOARSE — which launched at the beginning of the year — started searching for a new vocalist. The band listened to dozens of great demos and played with a few singers at the rehearsal place… and then it was Joonas Kosonen's turn. The search was over.
"We knew Joonas from SAINTS FOR MASS PRODUCTION, so, of course, we were aware of his skills," OCEANHOARSE guitarist Ben Varon (ex-AMORAL) says. "Still, our jaws dropped once we heard Joonas sing 'Fading Neons' for the first time. That was it. We offered him the job right there and then.
"The amount of singers who reached out and offered their services really surprised us, as did the amount of talented vocalists out there currently without a band. We want to thank you all for sending demos and coming in to try out for the spot. We truly appreciate it."
For Joonas, trying out for OCEANHOARSE was a no-brainer once he heard the news about the singer spot being vacant.
I knew the music to be killer, but the guys' work ethic and attitude towards music was what really sealed the deal for me," he says. "I'm proud to get to be a part of this gang. The plan is to set Finland on fire first, followed by the rest of the world."
The new lineup of OCEANHOARSE will make its live debut on November 10 at On The Rocks in Helsinki, opening up for the Swedish trio FREAK KITCHEN.
"No use in hiding in the rehearsal room any longer than necessary," Ben says. "We have been practicing at our usual pace of 4-5 times a week throughout this so-called quiet period, so we're always ready to go, and with the speed Joonas is picking up the material and how driven he is, we'll be more than ready in time for this show."

THE NEW ROSES lead singer Timmy Rough is responsible for the sophisticated choir arrangements, which underline the powerful QUEEN-esque choirs you can hear on the album.
Earlier in the year, SINBREED parted ways with singer Herbie Langhans and has replaced him with Holleman.

FIGHT THE FURY Feat. SKILLET's JOHN COOPER: 'My Demons' VideoFIGHT THE FURY, the new metal project from SKILLET frontman and bassist John Cooper, released its debut EP, "Still Breathing", on October 26 via Atlantic Records. The music video for the disc's first single, "My Demons", can be seen below.
FIGHT THE FURY also features SKILLET guitarist Seth Morrison, along with drummer Jared Ward and guitarist John Panzer III.
"'My Demons' is the first song that I wrote for the project about five years ago when I first had the idea to start FIGHT THE FURY," Cooper shared, offering some insight into the track. "It's a good first taste for fans because it's got all of the ingredients of the band: aggression, melody, screaming, angst, a touch of progressive rock, and frenzied chaos. It touches on some dark themes that can be related in general to most people's individual struggles in life."
He continued: "However, I wrote it specifically for those who have been victims of abuse. Some scars run so deep that we never fully heal. My hope is that through the lyrics, people will vent their anger and see that there is always light at the end of the tunnel."
b>Cooper previously commented on the genesis of FIGHT THE FURY, explaining: "I am so pumped about the release of FIGHT THE FURY! This is a side of me and my music that I don't get to show very often. It takes me back to when I first heard metal and the reason I fell in love with music. It's raw and unfiltered and emotional."
Cooper added: "FIGHT THE FURY is for all of the fans out there who like the heavy side of SKILLET, but want a super-heavy album. I hope they feel the emotion of the songs that we have put together because this project is for them."
"Still Breathing" track listing:
01. My Demons
02. Dominate Me
03. Still Burning
04. I Cannot
05. Lose Hold Of It All
While the Grammy-nominated SKILLET has proven to be one of the most successful rock bands of the 21st century, having sold more than 12 million units worldwide, Cooper wanted to flex his creative muscles outside of his main outfit with FIGHT THE FURY. The music crackles with a metallic, anthemic, and riff-driven intensity, along with unforgettable hooks. The songs that populate the band's forthcoming EP will take up residence in your brain for days at a time.
FIGHT THE FURY will embark on its first-ever tour in Russia this December. Details regarding future North American tour plans will be announced in the coming weeks.
Cooper told Pop Culture Madness about the heavier direction of FIGHT THE FURY: "It's all subjective. I was amazed to hear from one my friends from KORN [say], 'This is really heavy.' Then I've heard other people like, 'This isn't any heavier than SKILLET.' I think it's quite a bit [heavier], but it might just be that SKILLET does some heavy stuff — it's just that with SKILLET, you have a lot of other elements. We have a lot of pop in our songwriting, a lot of electronic elements in SKILLET that I would call very modern and even urban on the electronic side, so when you put all of those things together — and, of course, Jen sings sometimes — that brings a little more of a dynamic. [FIGHT THE FURY] is really less dynamic — it's more just the metal side, and there's a bit more screaming in it. For me, it's really fun because one of the songs has three guitar solos in it. When I was growing up, that was awesome — the more solos, the better. That's not as accepted these days, so being able to go, 'Man, I think I want to rock a guitar solo here' and not have anybody say no is a good feeling. It obviously it isn't as broad as SKILLET, so it's going to be more niche, but I think within that, it suits a particular format a bit better. It's a little angrier, and some of our SKILLET fans have been kind of like, 'This is too dark.' I hope that they dig it, but there certainly is a group where it's like, 'This is a little too much,' because it is aggressive, and it's a little angry."
FIGHT THE FURY is:
John Cooper - Vocals/Bass
Seth Morrison - Guitar
John Panzer III - Guitar
Jared Ward - Drums

DISTURBED Performs Acoustic Version Of 'A Reason To Fight' For Radio.com (Video)DISTURBED recently performed an acoustic version of its "A Reason To Fight" single for Radio.com. You can watch video footage of the rendition below.
"A Reason To Fight" is second single from DISTURBED's latest album, "Evolution", which was released on October 19.
"The message behind 'A Reason To Fight' is a personal one," said DISTURBED lead vocalist David Draiman. "We've all seen people that we care about fall victim to addiction. Dan [Donegan, DISTURBED's guitarist] sent me a rough idea for the song and it hit home particularly hard."
"I know people who've battled addiction and have seen it in their face — the shame they have — feeling they've let themselves and others down," said Donegan. "We wanted to write a song with a positive message for people in that situation to stay hopeful and not give up the fight, as challenging as it may be. It's an everyday struggle, but there can also be a light at the end of the tunnel."
dded Draiman: "The chorus goes, 'When the demon that’s inside you is ready to begin and it feels like it's a battle that you can never win, when you're aching for the fire and begging for your sin. When there's nothing left inside, there's still a reason to fight.' Hopefully it's a message that resonates."
"Evolution" earned 71,000 equivalent album units in the week ending October 25 to land at position No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. Of that sum, 65,000 were in traditional album sales.
"Evolution" is DISTURBED's sixth top 10 effort, and it follows the band's previous studio release, 2015's "Immortalized", which bowed at No. 1 with 98,000 units earned in its first week. "Immortalized" was DISTURBED's fifth consecutive album to enter the Billboard 200 at No. 1 — a feat shared only with METALLICA and DAVE MATTHEWS BAND.
Last month, DISTURBED hit No. 1 at rock radio with new single "Are You Ready", the band's 12th No. 1 single and the fastest chart-climber of its career, reaching the top spot in only six short weeks.
Nearly half the songs on "Evolution" are acoustic or semi-acoustic.
Like "Immortalized", the new album was recorded at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada with producer Kevin Churko. 2

TREAT: 'Best Of Enemies' Music Video"Best Of Enemies", the new video from Swedish hard rockers TREAT, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "Tunguska", which was released on September 14 via Frontiers Music Srl.
Building on the success of their last two albums, "Coup De Grace" (2010) and "Ghost Of Graceland" (2016), which were both released after the band's reunion in 2006, TREAT's return has been more than welcome by fans and critics alike. With the two latest albums having received praise as true masterpieces, TREAT is releasing its new album, packed with riveting rockers and seductive, soul-searching melodic rock songs, on a wave of newfound creativity and high anticipation from their fanbase.
But what is "Tunguska"? "The album title is a reference to a mysterious large explosion that took place in Siberia in 1908, but metaphorically and artistically, 'Tunguska' represents the last piece of the puzzle to be put in place since the band's reunion," says guitarist, producer and founding member Anders Wikstrom. "It highlights the unique musicianship we have developed together over the years in the creative songwriting process, but also illustrates how we want our albums to sound and feel in the 21st century. We managed to dig deeper into the lyrical content, and musically, the dynamics in the songs and production are more distinct as we let heavy, raunchy stuff co-exist with the softer side of the band."
"Tunguska" was once again produced by respected writer/producer, and longtime TREAT fan, Peter Mansson, together with Anders Wikström, showcasing a band who, despite a thirty plus year career, are hungrier and more energetic than ever!
b>TREAT's current lineup includes Robert Ernlund (vocals), Anders Wikström (guitars, backing vocals), Patrick Appelgren (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals), Jamie Borger (drums), and Pontus Egberg (bass).
"My goal has always been to capture the band in the studio when we can reflect what we are like at a live performance peak," says Anders. "That's why we did not continue touring for another extended period on the back of the last album ('Ghost Of Graceland') and went into the new album writing and recording process instead. When our fans hear 'Tunguska', this decision will speak for itself. When I listen to it, I get the same feeling I had when we finished 'Organized Crime' back in ´89, when everybody had stepped up to the plate and played as if their lives depended on it. I truly believe this is TREAT's finest hour! And that goes for every single member of the band! Damn proud!"
The band is truly at the top of their game and songs like the outstanding lead single "Build The Love" or rockers like the fabulous album opener "Progenitors", "Always Have, Always Will" and "Rose Of Jericho" stand out as future live staples in the band's repertoire.
"Every time we meet up with fans anywhere in the world, they are always full of praise for our current releases, which is really heartwarming as we do feel we don't have to rely on our 35-year back catalogue to attract audiences," says Anders. "We feel we are a better band nowadays, both as songwriters and live performers, matured just like a great red wine! After living with the album for some time, I find myself jumping in and out randomly on my choice for favorite songs and for some reason that has never been the case before. To me, that's what a real album is about and what makes it worth working day and night to compete."
"Tunguska" track listing:
01. Progenitors
02. Always Have, Always Will
03. Best Of Enemies
04. Rose Of Jericho
05. Heartmath City
06. Creeps
07. Build The Love
08. Man Overboard
09. Riptide

WHILE SHE SLEEPS To Release 'So What?' Album In March; 'Anti-Social' Video AvailableWHILE SHE SLEEPS will release its fourth studio album, "So What?", on March 1, 2019 via the band's own Sleeps Brothers label. The official music video for the disc's first single, "Anti-Social", can be seen below.
"Anti-Social" is an explosive, relentless four-minute anthem. It takes everything you know and love about WHILE SHE SLEEPS — clattering riffs, bruising breakdowns, snarling lyrics, and big-ass singalongs — and sticks them in a blender. It's punk, it's heavy metal, it couldn't be any other band but them, and yet it sounds unlike anything you've heard from them before.
The Sheffield quintet has made a career out of confounding expectations, be it through its dizzying blend of crushing metal, guttural hardcore and arena-worthy hooks or the way they've carried themselves over an explosive, 13-year career.
WHILE SHE SLEEPS's last album, 2017's "You Are We", was a testament to the power of self-belief and determination. It was crowdfunded and released on the band's own Sleeps Brothers label and earned the group award nominations from the likes of Metal Hammer and a "Best Album" win at the Heavy Music Awards, as well as landing them in the top ten of the U.K. album charts.
'You Are We' got us to this special position, and it has given us a platform," says guitarist Sean Long. "For us, it's like, 'What can we do to really stick this in people's faces? What can we put out there that we're buzzing off?' I don't want to be following everyone else; I want people to follow us."
Recorded with producer Carl Bown at the band's studio Sleeps Audio, "So What?" promises to be another defiant step forwards. Set for release on Sleeps Brothers in collaboration with metal mega-label Spinefarm, this new record sees WHILE SHE SLEEPS working with a major label again for the first time since 2015's "Brainwashed", and the band are at pains to point out that this won't mean there'll be any compromise in their vision.
"We got approached immediately by a bunch of labels, but we turned around to all of them and said, 'The only way we're going to do anything is if you let us release it on Sleeps Brothers, but you house that on your train, and we make the decisions behind everything," guitarist/vocalist Mat Welsh explains. "I fucking loved releasing 'You Are We' ourselves, but at the same time, I played more on my laptop than I did on my guitar for the whole campaign. This release is a partnership between Sleeps Brothers and Spinefarm, but no one is breathing down our necks about the record we're making or the singles we're putting out."
WHILE SHE SLEEPS is:
Lawrence Taylor - Vocals
Sean Long - Guitar
Mat Welsh - Guitar / Vocals
Aaran Mckenzie - Bass
Adam Savage - Drums

QUEENSRŸCHE To Release 'The Verdict' Album In March; U.S. Tour With FATES WARNING AnnouncedRock icons QUEENSRŸCHE will release their new album, "The Verdict", on March 1, 2019 via Century Media Records. The band's forthcoming release was produced, mixed, and mastered by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (ROB ZOMBIE, ICED EARTH, HATEBREED) at Uberbeatz in Lynwood, Washington; Planet-Z in Wilbraham, Massachusetts; and Watershed Studio in Seattle, Washington. Pre-orders and formats will be announced soon.
"I'm extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish on this record," states QUEENSRŸCHE vocalist Todd La Torre. "The relentless dedication and hard work of everyone involved has been very rewarding. I am excited and looking forward to it no longer just belonging to us, but belonging to the world. We hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!"
Michael "Whip" Wilton (guitar) adds: "'The Verdict' is the most metal and the most progressive record we have made in a long time. I couldn't possibly be more excited for everyone to hear this."
To support "The Verdict", QUEENSRŸCHE has also announced a spring U.S. headline tour with special guests FATES WARNING. THE CRINGE will be joining both bands on select dates. The tour will kick off on March 2 in Orlando, making stops in major markets such as New York, Atlanta, Chicago, and Los Angeles, and will wrap on April 3 in Seattle.
b>Todd spoke about "The Verdict"'s musical direction with Eclectic Arts, saying: "It's got more driving songs on this record than the last one… I think there's elements that are more progressive — some different time signatures. It's a good-flowing album. There's some slow, kind of haunting, creepy, cool stuff on this record," he continued. "Like I say, there's more progressive elements on this one, I think — certainly more, I think, than the last one. The song 'Condition Hüman' was kind of progressive in QUEENSRŸCHE's standards, so there's kind of some of those elements going on. Really good lyrical content — thought-provoking stuff. Certainly never trying to tell anyone what to think, but to think. Again, a lot of it deals with things that are happening in the world that everyone can identify with and relate to. I tried to have some really good vocal acrobatics on this [album]. There's not a ton of high singing, but there's some high stuff on there vocally. I mean, it just sounds like a great QUEENSRŸCHE album to me. But you never know until you put it out to everyone, and then it's not yours anymore."
For the past 18 months, drummer Scott Rockenfield has been taking time off from QUEENSRŸCHE's touring activities to spend time with his young son, who was born in early 2017. Filling in for him is former KAMELOT drummer Casey Grillo. However, QUEENSRŸCHE has not yet indicated if Rockenfield was involved with the making of the disc, although it did confirm that Grillo did not play on the record.
"The Verdict" will mark QUEENSRŸCHE's third full-length release with La Torre, following the departure of Geoff Tate in 2012.

The tour will continue as scheduled, with MUNICIPAL WASTE headlining and support from TOXIC HOLOCAUST and HAUNT.
MUNICIPAL WASTE said in a statement: "First and foremost, we wish our friend Matt the best of luck with his recovery. We need him, the metal world in general needs him. We would much rather have him miss a tour to heal up rather than not having any more Matt Pike music in the future. HIGH ON FIRE's new album is amazing and we love him and his bandmates so much. That being said, after much discussion us TOXIC and HAUNT are still going to do the tour. It just makes sense; why make something negative worse? Get better, Matt; we love you."
b>HIGH ON FIRE's latest album, "Electric Messiah", was released on October 5 via Entertainment One (eOne).
HIGH ON FIRE recently completeld a European co-headlining tour with ENSLAVED.

PURSER DEVERILL Feat. Former TYGERS OF PAN TANG Members: Lyric Video For 'Square One' Title TrackEx-TYGERS OF PAN TANG members Fred Purser and Jon Deverill have joined forces in a new project, PURSER DEVERILL. The band's debut album, "Square One", will be released on December 14 via Mighty Music.
The official lyric video for the "Square One" can be seen below.
Purser punches a button on the mixing console in the studio he has run for 30 years and muses (to no-one in particular), "Well, that took rather longer than I expected..." "Yes, about 30 years longer" laughs Deverill. Master of the understatement, Fred is referring to the album he has finally completed together with Jon — an album that has been over 30 years in the making.
But let's rewind. Jon, a native of Cardiff, had made the transition from amateur to professional when he answered an advert in the now-defunct Melody Maker placed by the TYGERS OF PAN TANG. The TYGERS, determined to move away from their punk metal beginnings, were looking for a singer with power and authority. That man was Jon. Running roughshod over the other auditionees he was the first choice of everyone concerned. The album that followed was the highly rated "Spellbound", where the thrilling combination of Jon's power vocals and John Sykes's acclaimed guitar playing elevated the TYGERS to City Hall headliner status.
ne more album together and Sykes was gone and the TYGERS were left looking for a guitar player on the eve of a tour of France. Step forward Fred Purser. Fred, born in County Durham, in the tough North East of England, began his musical career proper with lauded new wave band PENETRATION. Brought in to beef up their sound he contributed to two albums for Virgin Records until the band felt that they had said everything they could, and Fred went on to start work on a solo project. With no time to audition a new guitarist, Fred seemed an obvious choice. "Can you learn the set in a week?" Fred was asked. Seven days later, he answered that question in style. Long curly hair, trademark ripped t-shirt, every bit the quintessential rock star he stood on the stage in Paris and replicated the finger knotting solos that Sykes had contributed to the band.
One album later (the bestselling "The Cage"), successful tours of Europe and Japan under their belts and the band imploded. That would have been the end of the story had not Fred already begun writing material for the band's next album. Undeterred by the mess that was left behind in the wake of the TYGERS dissolution, Fred enlisted his now friend, Deverill, to work on the songs he had begun to write. And here, some 30 odd years later, the two friends have finally finished that album and, with an interesting twist of fate, signed to the TYGERS' current record company Might Music.
And you might wonder what kind of music is produced by two. YES, PINK FLOYD, QUEEN and LED ZEPPELIN-loving musicians, one of whom has run his own recording studio for 30 years and the other who has carved out a career as a successful actor? "It's kind of proggy, really, I suppose" says Fred. "With a good helping of rock," adds Jon.

SAXON Drummer Had Half His Nose Bitten Off In Dog AttackSAXON's Nigel Glockler had to have his nose reattached Friday night after he was attacked by a dog.
The drummer revealed his injuries in a Facebook post, saying that it took more than 100 stitches to repair the damage.
Glockler, who underwent emergency brain surgery back in 2015, wrote: "I was at the pub last night, petting a dog when it decided it did not like my face and took off half my nose.
"I've had over 100 stitches inside and out of the nose and it's been reattached.
My wife Gina says between this and the scar on my scalp I should change my name to FrankenNigel. The good news is, no problems for the upcoming shows — see you soon!"
SAXON has announced a string of U.S. tour dates, following the successful tour with JUDAS PRIEST earlier this year and prior to the band's appearance on the 2019 Monsters Of Rock cruise out of Florida.
Singer Biff Byford recently told Moshpit Passion that SAXON is planning to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2019.
Although SAXON was formed in 1977, the band's debut album didn't arrive until two years later.
Byford and guitarist Paul Quinn are the sole remaining original members in the group's current lineup, which issued its 22nd LP, "Thunderbolt", earlier this year.
Originally from South Yorkshire, England, SAXON has gone on to sell about 23 million albums and has produced such classic songs as "Denim And Leather", "Princess Of The Night", "Wheels Of Steel" and "Power And Glory".
In addition to Byford, Quinn and Glockler, SAXON's current lineup includes bassist Nibbs Carter and guitarist Doug Scarratt.

OBLITERATION Streaming Title Track Of Upcoming Cenotaph Obscure AlbumNorwegian death metallers, Obliteration, will release their fourth studio album, Cenotaph Obscure, on November 23rd. Listen to the album's title track below.
"Cenotaph Obscure is the fourth album from Norway's death metal custodians Obliteration. Following their now classic Nekropsalms (2009) and the harrowing Black Death Horizon (2013), the latest offering further expands on the quartet's trademark sound; lead heavy old-school death metal with distinct flavours of both doom and black metal. Inventive yet never difficult to grasp, technical without wankery and obscure without being diffuse, Obliteration are masters at their craft. Cenotaph Obscure was recorded in Studio Cobra, Stockholm with Martin "Konie" Ehrencrona at the helm, lending the album an organic yet in your face production. In perfect keeping with the music, the lyrics deal with dystopic, apocalyptic themes, extinct civilizations and interdimensional portals etc. With Cenotaph Obscure, Obliteration cement their status as leaders in the Norwegian death metal scene, delivering a grizzly yet flawless monument to Death metal the way it was meant to be; obscure, ominous and unpredictable."- Einar Sjursø (Virus, Infernö. Duplicate Records)

“Cenotaph Obscure”
“Tumulus Of Ancient Bones
“Orb”
“Eldritch Summoning”

ARCHITECTS Release 'Modern Misery' Video"Modern Misery", the new video from U.K. metallers ARCHITECTS, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's eighth full-length album, "Holy Hell", which will be released on November 9 via Epitaph Records.
"Holy Hell" marks the band's first release since the untimely passing of Tom Searle, ARCHITECTS' founding guitarist, principal songwriter and twin brother to drummer Dan. Tom died in 2016 following a three-year battle with skin cancer.
Dan said: "In those first months after Tom's death, I didn't deal with it at all and I felt so unhappy and anxious. I'd ignored it and just tried to cope. But I knew that at some point, I had to learn from it."
"It's at times like that you ask yourself, What is left?'" adds vocalist Sam Carter. "As a group of friends, we had to find something."
Ultimately, there were two choices," Dan says. "Feel sorry for yourself and believe the world to be a horrible place and let it defeat you. Or let it inspire us to live the life that Tom would have wanted us to live. I was very worried about people taking away a despondent message from the album. I felt a level of responsibility to provide a light at the end of the tunnel for people who are going through terrible experiences.
Finding a way forward, the band spent six months from the fall of 2017 through the spring of this year recording what would become the 11-song album, with Dan and guitar player Josh Middleton handling production.
"For me, broadly speaking, 'Holy Hell' is about pain: the way we process it, cope with it, and live with it," Dan offers. "There is value in pain. It's where we learn, it's where we grow."
"Holy Hell" track listing:
01. Death Is Not Defeat
02. Hereafter
03. Mortal After All
04. Holy Hell
05. Damnation
06. Royal Beggars
07. Modern Misery
08. Dying To Heal
09. The Seventh Circle
10. Doomsday
11. A Wasted Hymn

THENIGHTTIMEPROJECT Feat. Ex-KATATONIA Guitarist FREDRIK NORRMAN: New Album Due In 2019THENIGHTTIMEPROJECT has inked a deal with Debemur Morti Productions.
Not straying far from his most notable roots, THENIGHTTIMEPROJECT finds Fredrik Norrman walking a pleasantly nostalgic road for those familiar with his work in KATATONIA.
After a self-titled debut album (2016, Aftermath Music) and the "Anti Meridian" single (2017), the quartet is now working on a new album to be released under the Debemur Morti Productions banner in 2019.
Joined by drummer Jonas Sköld (OCTOBER TIDE, LETTERS FROM THE COLONY) and vocalist Alexander Backlund (LETTERS FROM THE COLONY), THENIGHTTIMEPROJECT is now working on the follow-up to the debut album as well as rehearsing for live shows.
he band's current lineup is:
Alexander Backlund - Guitar/vocals
Fredrik Norrman - Guitar
Mattias Norrman - Bass
Jonas Sköld - Drums
A few notable guests will feature on what is expected to be a proper masterpiece.
Featuring Tobias Netzell of IN MOURNING fame, along with Nicklas Hjertton, formerly of MANDYLON, THENIGHTTIMEPROJECT's self-titled debut album was released in January 2016. The disc received rave reviews from the press, and with a mix of rock, metal, progressive, doom, post-rock and psychedelic elements, it is indeed an interesting ride for the listener.
In 2017, the band released the single "Anti Meridian" and Mattias Norrman (OCTOBER TIDE) joined the band on bass. Later that year, Tobias and Nicklas decided to leave the band due to lack of time.

FIFTH ANGEL – The Third Secret Album Out Now; Video For Title Track StreamingFifth Angel released their first new album in almost 30 years, The Third Secret, today,October 26th via Nuclear Blast. Order the album in various formats here. A new video for the title track is streaming below.
This video, like the album, is the band’s first in nearly thirty years. The head of promotion at Nuclear Blast Records, Markus Wosgien states, “We feel this is a brilliant album, and the critics feel this is a brilliant album. But now is the time that the most important voice is heard, and that is the voice of the fans! We are excited to see how they will react!”
"We are very excited about this album," states drummer and producer Ken Mary. "When it came time to write songs for The Third Secret, we knew the bar we were going to have to hit was very high. The first two Fifth Angel albums are considered "classics" by so many people, and they have stood the test of time for 30 years. Needless to say, that makes doing a follow up record extremely challenging. So we laid down two basic ground rules when we were creating the songs for the new album: 1) It has to "sound" like Fifth Angel, and 2) We, (meaning every band member), have to be excited about every song and love every song first before we consider putting it on the record. If we don't feel strongly about the art we are creating, why should anyone else, right? So we followed those two rules, and created an album that we love listening to ourselves. Hopefully that will translate into the fans loving it as much as we do!"
The cover artwork was created by Zsofia Dankova.

Watch the clip below.
Singer Simone Simons states: "Here it is, our lyric video from 'Beyond the Matrix - The Battle'. Get ready to dive into the sea of pure tranquility together with Epica and the Metropole Orkest."

As a bonus to all voters, runner-up in the competition and friend of the band, Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) contributed a beautiful guest-solo to the song.
