INGLORIOUS To Release Ride To Nowhere Album In January; "Where Are You Now?" Music Video Streaming

INGLORIOUS To Release Ride To Nowhere Album In January; "Where Are You Now?" Music Video Streaming

Frontiers Music Srl has announced the release of Ride To Nowhere, the third studio album by Inglorious, on January 25th. The debut single from the album, “Where Are You Now?”, is released today. Watch a video for the song below.

In amongst their touring commitments, Inglorious spent 2018 writing and recording their third studio album, Ride To Nowhere. A much darker, more reflective album than their previous releases, the new songs further hone the Inglorious sound - the pulsating rhythms, driving guitars and infectious vocal melodies.

“This album is different in many ways. The songs came about very quickly. As with all our songs we start with a riff, and this time having new guitarist Drew added a new and heavier feel to a couple of songs. We wrote the basics mostly together all in one room on acoustic guitars and then I went away and crafted the stories I wanted to tell. For me this album is very personal. I am for the first time writing about a lot of my feelings, relationships and losses...” - Nathan James

“On this album I feel that the songs are a true reflection of what we’ve been through over the past few years - both as a band and as individuals. You’ve got the highs, the lows and lessons learned along the way. The making of this album was at a time when we all had our own personal situations and changes to deal with. I feel that this definitely comes through on the recordings and particularly songs like ‘Tomorrow’, ‘Where Are You Now?’ and ‘Glory Days”. - Colin Parkinson

The recording of Ride To Nowhere involves for the first time new guitarist Drew Lowe, who says, “The album is the next step for the band in maturity. Being that it's my first, I wasn't sure what to expect, but as soon as we started we knew what type of record was coming. Hopefully the fans will love it as they follow us on the musical journey.”

From the body blow riffs of the first single “Where Are You Now?”, to the beautiful melodies and bluesy overtones of “I Don’t Know You,” from the assault of “Freak Show” to the acoustic ballad “Glory Days”, Ride To Nowhere is an absolute gem of an album, showing not only all the influences from iconic rock albums of the 70’s, but also offering the band’s own sound and interpretation. As with Inglorious “II”, the album was mixed by the legendary Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith).

“There’s a lot of variety on this album, more so than the previous ones and that I really like. Sonically I think it sounds more fresh, contemporary in a sense and that goes for a bunch of songs on the album as well. Just the singles alone are different than how we’ve sounded in the past, but still have the Inglorious feel and vibe! Lastly I also think that musically it’s better than the previous albums, everyone plays very tasteful, soulful and collectively I feel that it’s perfect!” - Andreas Eriksson

“We’re all really happy with the way the new record sounds and look forward to seeing how the fans receive it. I personally can’t wait to play the new material live on the road!”- Phil Beaver

The album will be released on CD, Limited Edition Box Set (CD + T-shirt “L" size), Vinyl, Limited Edition Crystal Vinyl - exclusive to Frontiers online shop, Limited Edition White Vinyl - exclusive to the Inglorious online shop.

All vinyls are gatefold sleeve.

FREEDOM CALL Frontman CHRIS BAY Releases New Single "Silent Cry" Featuring SONJA HÖLLERING; Official Video Available

FREEDOM CALL Frontman CHRIS BAY Releases New Single "Silent Cry" Featuring SONJA HÖLLERING; Official Video Available

Freedom Call mastermind Chris Bay releases his fourth single and video, "Silent Cry", today (October 18th). The song features singer Sonja Höllering and is taken from Bay's first solo album, Chasing The Sun.

Chris: "Dear friends, a very special work is done. Here, I would like to introduce the brand new video clip "Silent Cry" from my solo album "Chasing the Sun". In this song, melancholy and emotion dominate the musical and textual soul. Maybe that's why the song "Silent Cry" is especially close to my heart. Torn out of a seemingly perfect world of security and everyday habits, you sometimes feel the deep emotional longing for something powerful, which cannot be expressed in words ... the "Silent Cry". With strong-voiced support from the charming singer Sonja Höllering, the video clip was filmed in front of a lavish backdrop and with many lovingly arranged details. As a producer, nobody less than her husband Franz Höllering stood behind the camera and brought my personal vision of this song to the screen aptly and empathetically. Maybe some of you will recognize yourself in this kind of illusion."

Check out the video below.

LUCIFER'S CHILD Featuring ROTTING CHRIST, NIGHTFALL, CHAOSTAR Members Premier Lyric Video For New Single "Fall Of The Rebel Angels"

LUCIFER'S CHILD Featuring ROTTING CHRIST, NIGHTFALL, CHAOSTAR Members Premier Lyric Video For New Single "Fall Of The Rebel Angels"

Greek black metal band, Lucifer's Child, have released a lyric video for their new single, "Fall Of The Rebel Angels", featured on the band's upcoming second studio album, The Order, out on November 9th via Agonia Records. Watch the clip below.

The band, featuring members of Rotting Christ, Nightfall and Chaostar, recorded eight new songs clad in artwork by Daniele Valeriani (Dark Funeral, Dissection, Mayhem).

Lucifer's Child originates from Athens. It's music is a bridge to the world of atmospheric black metal, and a vessel for spiritual self-expression through lyrics. The goal of unifying these two elements gleamed clearly in the eyes of George Emmanuel, a prolific guitarist primarily known for his work as part of Rotting Christ (and a former guitarist of Chaostar), when he formed the band together with bassist Stathis Ridis (a member of another long-running Hellenic metal unit, Nightfall) in 2013. Born from a partnership between two talented musicians, the duo quickly expanded to take in vocalist Marios Dupont (Karma Violens) and drummer Nick Vell (Chaostar), and delivered their debut album The Wiccan in 2015. Encouraged by the album's keen reception, followed by several festival appearances (incl. Inferno Festival, Blastfest and Incineration Festival), Lucifer's Child returns in a darker, more extreme shade, passionate in outperforming its bold debut.

The Order was recorded, mixed and mastered in Emmanuel's own recording studio, Pentagram. He commented on the new album: "After three years of converging and sculpting our ideas and sounds we are ready to present our second full length album entitled The Order. Lucifer awaits!"

Watch RATT Perform In Dallas

Watch RATT Perform In Dallas

Fan-filmed video footage of RATT's October 13 concert at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas can be seen below.

The Dallas show took place a week after RATT's concert in St. Charles, Illinois, where some of the fans said that lead singer Stephen Pearcy was "stumbling" and couldn't "remember the words" to many of the band's most popular songs.

Fan-filmed video footage of the St. Charles gig showed the frontman slurring his way through the set and struggling to hit the notes in the group's biggest hits.

Late last month, RATT played a disastrous show in Huntington, New York, where Pearcy was also slurring while sitting down and nearly lying down on the drum riser. The 62-year-old singer also appeared to be slouching or leaning on to the bass drum during "Round And Round" and holding on to the tom-tom stand and bass drum to keep from falling over.

b>Pearcy later apologized to the RATT fans, saying in a statement that he was "dealing with a pain-management issue due to a bad knee that is scheduled to be replaced in January." He added that he "made the critical error of adding alcohol to my pain meds while on stage" at the Huntington concert "and it destroyed my performance."

Croucier and Pearcy are the sole remaining original members in RATT's current incarnation, which also includes drummer Pete Holmes (BLACK 'N BLUE) and guitarists Jordan Ziff (RAZER) and Chris Sanders (BRITNY FOX, KNIGHT FURY).

RATT's new lineup made its live debut on July 7 in Mulvane, Kansas.

Montreal’s FRACTAL CYPHER – “From The Above And To The Stars” Video Streaming

Montreal’s FRACTAL CYPHER – “From The Above And To The Stars” Video Streaming

Montreal prog quartet Fractal Cypher are premiering their first single and music video "From The Above And To The Stars”. The track is off the band's upcoming mini-album Prelude To An Impending Outcome due out this coming November.

"This is the heaviest song on the record, it's got lots of heavy guitar riffs, it has a djenty vibe that is quite obvious all the way through. This track was influenced a bit from what we did on our past 'The Human Paradox' in terms of the balance between heavy riffs and melodies. On the lyrical aspect, the main topic of the track is about sci-fi stuff, talking about the possibilities of the existence of another civilization in the universe. We made the music relate to the lyrics in terms of chords choices and sonority." - Fractal Cypher

Each track has a different prominent genre influence from power ballad, blues, djent and jazz with the band’s heavy and melodic base as an anchor. The album artwork was done by Silent Q Design out of Montreal and foreshadows the moody and existential prog metal that lies within. Although this album is more intimate with different textures and influences, the reception to its predecessor should be a prime indication of the talents of Fractal Cypher; this next release is sure to be a masterwork.

Tracklisting:

“Coming Back To Life”
“The Grandeur Of It All”
“From The Above And To The Stars”
“Red Lady”

BAD RELIGION Returns With New Song, 'The Profane Rights Of Man'

BAD RELIGION Returns With New Song, 'The Profane Rights Of Man'

Punk rock legends BAD RELIGION have released a new single titled "The Profane Rights Of Man". A worried look at the state of human rights in America, the song continues the band's long-held commitment to incisively topical songwriting.

"The Profane Rights Of Man", featuring BAD RELIGION's signature breakneck rhythms, mournful harmonies, and serpentine guitar work, was produced by Brett Gurewitz and mixed by Gurewitz and Joe Barresi. The timely song is based on a historical document from 1789.

Vocalist and songwriter Greg Graffin explains: "The song is based on the 1789 document 'The Universal Rights Of Man'. Since we're a band that has a longstanding tradition of championing the enlightenment, we wanted to emphasize that our society is based on a profane rather than a sacred theological justification for human rights. In sum, the song is about BAD RELIGION's belief in a secular basis for the protection of human rights for all people."

Earlier this year, BAD RELIGION released "The Kids Are Alt-Right", a "catchy and deeply satisfying melody-surge about new permutations of racism" as reported by Stereogum. On October 27, BAD RELIGION will play at the Surf City Blitz festival in Huntington Beach, California. Bad Religion is currently in the studio working on new music.

b>BAD RELIGION began in the sprawling suburbs surrounding Los Angeles, with the teenage punks offering an impassioned counterpoint to a culture of consumerism and anti-intellectualism. Founding members Greg Graffin, Brett Gurewitz and Jay Bentley were eventually joined by guitarists Brian Baker of MINOR THREAT, Mike Dimkich of THE CULT, and the supremely talented drummer Jamie Miller of …AND YOU WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF DEAD. Over the years, BAD RELIGION proved to be a major force in reinvigorating the modern punk movement, producing beloved international hits like "Infected", "21st Century (Digital Boy)" and "Sorrow", and building a devoted worldwide following.

Former MORBID ANGEL Frontman DAVID VINCENT Teams Up With Ex-MAYHEM Guitarist, CRYPTOPSY Drummer In VLTIMAS

Former MORBID ANGEL Frontman DAVID VINCENT Teams Up With Ex-MAYHEM Guitarist, CRYPTOPSY Drummer In VLTIMAS

Season Of Mist has announced the signing of VLTIMAS. The three-piece extreme metal formation, consisting of David Vincent (ex-MORBID ANGEL), Rune "Blasphemer" Eriksen (ex-MAYHEM, AURA NOIR) and Flo Monier (CRYPTOPSY), has completed the work on its debut album for an early 2019 release.

Eriksen comments: "Feels like aeons ago since I last ventured into these musical shores, but alas, here we are.

"It's been an intense year and a half with lots of planning, hard work, personal sacrifice and yeah, traveling. I believe I speak for all three of us on this matter. Nevertheless, the beast has been summoned and recorded and I am overly confident about the outcome.

"Having had the opportunity to work with some of the finest of craftsmen in the genre, the level of experience speaks volumes. The mutual understanding, vision and drive, everything as if for a greater purpose. That's how the end result sounds like to me.

A special thank you goes out to longtime partner in crime Michael Berberian and Season Of Mist for the immense belief in this entity, as well as my companion Jaime Gomez Arellano over at Orgone Studio (U.K.) for a job superbly done!

"We are VLTIMAS."

A short audio snippet of VLTIMAS's upcoming album is available below.

Vincent is also involved with I AM MORBID alongside fellow former MORBID ANGEL member Tim Yeung (drums), plus guitarists Bill Hudson (CIRCLE II CIRCLE, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA) and Ira Black (METAL CHURCH, LIZZY BORDEN).

Formed in 2016, I AM MORBID plays material from MORBID ANGEL's "Altars Of Madness" (1989), "Blessed Are The Sick" (1991), "Covenant" (1993) and "Domination" (1995) albums.

Vincent left MORBID ANGEL in 2015.

Watch Pro-Shot Video Of GREAT WHITE Performing 'Rock Me' With New Singer MITCH MALLOY

Watch Pro-Shot Video Of GREAT WHITE Performing 'Rock Me' With New Singer MITCH MALLOY

GREAT WHITE has released a performance video of the song "Rock Me", featuring the band's latest addition, singer Mitch Malloy. The clip was filmed on August 18 at the Kentucky State Fair at Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

GREAT WHITE guitarist Mark Kendall told KBACK Radio that the band wanted to make "a proper video and record a show with something other than a cellphone to kind of introduce Mitch. And our [booking] agent will use it for this and that, and we'll just throw it out there free — it's nothing we're gonna really put together to sell or anything; we just want people to see it properly and hear how it sounds at the show," he said. "Because when you hear a cellphone [recording], the guy [filming] might be over by the bass player's side and it might distort a little bit. So it really isn't a great representation, although we welcome the cellphones — I don't care if everybody holds 'em up and records us — but it's not really a great representation of what happened that night."

In early July, GREAT WHITE announced that it was parting ways with vocalist Terry Ilous and was replacing him with Malloy.

"[Mitch] is an incredible singer, artist, songwriter and engineer," Kendall said. "We're beyond excited to stretch our musical muscles with a fresh, new take on GREAT WHITE's catalog of hits."

dded Malloy: "I have to represent this music honorably. I respect what has come before me, and have to remind fans of where they were when they first heard these songs. I also have to be myself at the same time. When I first heard my own voice with GREAT WHITE's music, I knew something special was going on."

Keyboardist/guitarist Michael Lardie praised Malloy for his musical chops and reputation.

"We had an immediate rapport with Mitch," Lardie said. "I'm positive the fans will embrace Mitch and continue to support GREAT WHITE. This music is bigger than any one person."

Ilous, formerly of '80s L.A. hard rockers XYZ, joined GREAT WHITE in 2010 after stepping in for touring vocalist Jani Lane (WARRANT).

The Ilous-led GREAT WHITE released two albums, 2012's "Elation" and last year's "Full Circle", before Terry was shown the door.

This version of GREAT WHITE is not to be confused with JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE, which features original GREAT WHITE singer Jack Russell alongside Robby Lochner (FIGHT) on guitar, Dan McNay on bass, Tony Montana on guitar and Dicki Fliszar on drums.

Original Death and Massacre vocalist Kam Lee gives one of his best performances here. Nattravnen is about the legend of Night Raven, for which Kam has written an actual story, in addition to complete lyrics of the album. Jonny Petterson of Heads For The Dead, Wombbath has created sublime music that is death metal laced with black metal and atmospheric doom elements, while being devastatingly heavy in his trademark style. Together the duo has concocted not only one of the most interesting death metal albums of this era, but also one with rare lasting value and superior musicianship.

This is essentially dark death metal with better expression and scope. Juanjo Castellano of Revel In Flesh and Carnation fame is responsible for the magnificent album artwork and even the label owner Kunal Choksi chipped in with the band logo. All in all, this is one of the most important releases to come out which sets new standards for the style altogether.

GOROD – Aethra Album Streaming In Full

GOROD – Aethra Album Streaming In Full

Technical metal icons Gorod recently announced their upcoming 10-track album, Aethra, set to be released this Friday, October 19th via their new international label, Overpowered Records. Gorod is streaming the full album:

Vocalist Julien Deyres says: "Here we are! We finally present our latest effort in its entirety! This one turned out to be a crazy challenge as it was not only the fastest-written Gorod album, but because we added a couple new songwriting elements too. We hope you will appreciate this 10-track journey as much as we do - we had a fantastic experience making it!"

Produced and recorded by Gorod guitarist / mastermind Mathieu Pascal in his own Bud Studio, mixed at Dugout Studio by the outstanding Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, Behemoth, Decapitated, In Flames) and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory at Obey Mastering (Decapitated, Nightrage), Aethra is a profound progression in terms of production, songwriting and arrangements.

With Aethra, Gorod transports the listener to a tragic and melancholic universe - a completely new level of darkness - while preserving what Gorod considers their tried and true core sound: incomparable groove, remarkable dexterity, and relentless technicality. But all the while, the band never sacrifices earworm hooks and unforgettable riffage.

Aethra tracklisting:

"Wolfsmond"
"Bekhten's Curse"
"Aethra"
"The Sentry"
"Hina"
"And The Moon Turned Black"
"Chandra And The Maiden"
"Goddess Of Dirt"
"Inexorable"
"A Light Unseen"

Vocalist Julien Deyres explains the concept behind Aethra, "The moon: a star, an allegory, a universal symbol that concerns all peoples and eras... this is the central theme of the lyrical concept of this album which is divided into ten texts that follow a form of parity in terms of genres: four titles are devoted to female lunar deities, four to male deities. The remaining two are respectively dealing with the universal symbolism of the owl and the star itself."

"The concept is basically a study of different cults associated with the moon through the ages and peoples. Some themes are treated in a purely narrative way, some others in a more philosophical or poetic way, but generally it remains a personal reading of each myth, which aims to awaken critical thought as much as evasion."

As a live band through and through, Gorod plan to bring their trademark power and precision to North America on a full tour in support of Aethra. Before coming to The States, Gorod will tour in Europe and The UK with headliners Beyond Creation, as well as fellow support artists Entheos and Brought By Pain. AMON AMARTH: Third Trailer For 'The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm'

AMON AMARTH: Third Trailer For 'The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm'

On November 16, AMON AMARTH will release its new documentary and supporting live album(s), "The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm" — which includes a retrospective documentary that features a wealth of live and behind-the-scenes content and extensive band interviews. This film tells the Swedish quintet's history, through both their own eyes and those of the fans that have supported them along the way. It is a thrilling collection that pays respect to the faithful, as well as making for a detailed and riveting introduction for those new to their inspiring story. Paired with this documentary is the live video/audio, which contains two different sets at 2017's Summer Breeze festival in Dinkelsbühl, Germany, capturing the unit at their very best.

The third trailer for "The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm" can be seen below.

Having played the German festival numerous times over the years, and loving the family vibe they have always experienced there, AMON AMARTH leapt at the chance to appear twice in the same year. Playing a secret, smaller scale set that focused primarily on older material, and then headlining the main stage with full production — including their giant sea serpent and lots of fire — allowed them to showcase their songs at their best, though putting together setlists from such a mighty catalog was not the easiest of tasks.

"For the first night, we wanted to write a set that the fans would enjoy by wholly diving into our back catalog but also keeping it interesting," explains guitarist Olavi Mikkonen. "But putting the two shows together also made us realize that we have a lot of songs to choose from!"

or the band, producer Alexander Milas (who contributed to Kerrang! and was an award-winning editor-in-chief of Metal Hammer, before starting his own creative solutions company, Twin V Ltd.) and director Phil Wallis, "The Pursuit Of Vikings" has been a true labor of love.

"I think I first became conscious of AMON AMARTH around the release of 2002's 'Versus The World'," Milas states. "It was a really transitional time for metal, and it seemed there wasn't a credible band on the heavier end of the scale that hadn't in some way responded to or been influenced by the pioneering sounds of the Swedish death metal scene, but I distinctly remember thinking that there was something unique about these guys: the artwork, the thematic underpinnings, even that curiously timeless logo."

While their sound certainly displays strong echoes of the nation that birthed them, AMON AMARTH arguably wield a unique aura, a "lusciously crafted escapism" that Milas likens to the classic bands he grew up with: DIO, IRON MAIDEN and others who exist on a spectrum of their own making.

ROGER GLOVER: 'I'm Dreading Life Without DEEP PURPLE'

ROGER GLOVER: 'I'm Dreading Life Without DEEP PURPLE'

DEEP PURPLE's Roger Glover says that he is not looking forward to the completion of the band's "The Long Goodbye" tour. The bassist, who is 72 now, told Music Radar in a new interview: "DEEP PURPLE has been such a presence in our lives for 50 years that none of us want it to end, but the realization is there that sooner or later we are going to have to stop. I'd love to go on and make another album. Emotionally, we're not ready to stop, so we could carry on for another four or five years."

Asked if he had any plans for life after DEEP PURPLE, Glover said: "Well, I know I'll always been involved in music, as a writer and as a producer. To be honest, I'm dreading life without DEEP PURPLE. I'm not looking forward to it at all. This has been my working life; I've never had a job. We don't have a final time to stop in mind. I don't know how much time I'll have after the band, but I'll carry on being creative."

Roger went on to say that he is planning on releasing his autobiography. "I've been working on one for about five years now," he said. "It's not easy, because I didn't want a ghostwriter, but I enjoy good writing, and it's a pleasure to write. It's hard to look back and capture who I was years ago. I look at videos of myself playing and I think, 'Who is that person?'

"It's not possible to capture what was in your mind at the time, because memories aren't always reliable," he added. "I've found a load of diaries from the '60s, and I've kept a journal for the last 30 years or so. I just have to work out what I did in the '70s."

b>"The Long Goodbye" started in May 2017 in Europe and included a North American leg with ALICE COOPER and EDGAR WINTER as well as another summer run with JUDAS PRIEST.

DEEP PURPLE's latest album, "InFinite", came out in April 2017 via earMUSIC.

The band — which had been eligible for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame for two decades — finally entered the Rock Hall as part of the class of 2016. DEEP PURPLE's first three lineups were inducted, including drummer Ian Paice, guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, late keyboardist Jon Lord, and various singers and bassists — Rod Evans; Ian Gillan and Roger Glover; and David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes.

QUEEN - "We Will Rock You" Clip From Bohemian Rhapsody Film Streaming

QUEEN - "We Will Rock You" Clip From Bohemian Rhapsody Film Streaming

In theatres on November 2nd, Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Watch this new clip from the film:

Variety is reporting that Fox’s upcoming Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, is heading for a North American opening weekend as high as $30 million on November 2nd - 4th, early tracking showed.

Mr. Robot star Rami Malek is in the lead role as Freddie Mercury, the frontman for Queen. New Regency and GK Films are the production companies. Dexter Fletcher came on board to direct in December after Fox fired Bryan Singer from the project. However, Singer has retained the directing credit.

In the video below, Rami Malek discusses becoming Freddie:

Twentieth Century Fox and Regency Enterprises recently announced that the World Premiere for feature film Bohemian Rhapsody will be held at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London on Tuesday, October 23rd.

Guests and fans will be welcomed to the iconic venue to celebrate the highly anticipated release of Bohemian Rhapsody, walking the red carpet alongside stars of the film Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joe Mazzello, Allen Leech, Aidan Gillen, Mike Myers and producers Graham King and Jim Beach. Joining the cast on the red carpet will be Queen legends Brian May and Roger Taylor. Twentieth Century Fox and Regency Enterprises are pleased to announce that the premiere will benefit the Mercury Phoenix Trust, the organisation founded in Freddie’s name which supports HIV/AIDS initiatives globally.

Chris Green, Managing Director Twentieth Century Fox UK, commented, "We’re delighted to be at The SSE Arena, Wembley giving Queen fans the chance to share in what is going to be a fantastic event. The venue is perfect for showcasing the show-stopping performances in the film."

Tickets can be purchased here.

A scene from the film, entitled "Can You Go A Bit Higher?", can be seen below:

For the first time ever audio tracks from Queen's legendary performance at Live Aid are being released as part of the soundtrack album to Bohemian Rhapsody, 20th Century Fox and Regency Enterprises’ forthcoming feature film celebrating the band, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Recorded at the historic Wembley concert in July 1985, these Live Aid songs are among the rare gems and unheard versions from the band’s rich catalogue.

Alongside the show-stopping Live Aid performances of "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Radio Ga Ga", "Hammer To Fall" and "We Are The Champions", the album features other rare live tracks spanning Queen's entire career, new versions of old favourites, and a choice selection of the band's finest studio recordings. Among them are some of Queen's biggest hits, including eleven all-time anthems that reached Number One around the world.

The Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack, featuring all-original Queen recordings and vocals, is released on CD and digital formats on October 19th. Pre-order here.

Queen's cinematic music has proved irresistible to filmmakers over the years, featuring in numerous big screen epics. Their 1986 album A Kind of Magic was based on six songs composed for the swashbuckling time-travel adventure Highlander including such band classics as "A Kind Of Magic" and "Who Wants To Live Forever". But Bohemian Rhapsody will be only the band's second ever full original soundtrack album release, following on from the classic Flash Gordon in 1980.

The 22 songs on the soundtrack were produced by Brian May and Roger Taylor, with engineering and co-production by long-time Queen studio collaborators Justin Shirley-Smith, Kris Fredriksson and Joshua J Macrae, and mastering by Adam Ayan and Bob Ludwig.

The key task for the team behind the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack was sourcing the most suitable versions of the band’s songs, especially live performances, to fit the screenplay's career-spanning narrative. Their brief was not merely to produce a greatest hits playlist package but a soundtrack album to stand on its own merits, underscoring key moments in the screenplay. May, Taylor, and their co-producers worked with the filmmakers to find the best versions of each track to heighten the dramatic power of each scene.

Ensuring that listeners are in no doubt they are listening to a soundtrack album, Brian came up with the inspired idea that Queen should record their own arrangement of the famous 20th Century Fox Fanfare. Featuring May's famous multi-layered guitars and Roger Taylor’s distinctive percussion, this revamped track provides a suitably flamboyant opening fanfare to both film and album.

Unlike Queen's soundtrack to Flash Gordon, no spoken dialogue from Bohemian Rhapsody is included on this new album. And while the film uses only parts from songs and performances, the soundtrack features the full-length versions of some of the band's best-loved studio and live recordings.

The five tracks from Queen's 21-minute performance at Live Aid on July 13th, 1985 have never been released in audio form before. They only ever featured on video as a special extra on the DVD/BluRay release of Queen Rock Montreal, which features the Montreal Forum shows of November 1981. The Live Aid audio is exclusive to this new soundtrack album.

Other tracks on the soundtrack have been sourced from different decades and even different continents. "Fat Bottomed Girls" comes from the Paris shows in 1979, part of the Jazz world tour and has never been released before. "Now I'm Here" was recorded at the band's 1975 Christmas Eve show at London's Hammersmith Odeon. And the history-making duet between Freddie and Brian on "Love of My Life" comes from the Rock in Rio festival of January 1985 when 300,000 Brazilians sang along. Previously this track was only available to fans on the video releases of this performance.

For the studio recordings on the album, Queen had the luxury of being able to work with the Bob Ludwig remastered tracks from 2011, widely considered the best and most definitive versions.

The three remaining tracks on the soundtrack will be fresh to Queen fans, old and new. "We Will Rock You" starts out as the studio version, then seamlessly blends into a live performance with audience participation. This has been created especially for the film. "Don't Stop Me Now" features Brian's newly recorded guitar parts and is much closer to how the band plays the track live today.

"Doing All Right" was originally recorded by Smile, the predecessor band to Queen that featured Brian and Roger with vocalist Tim Staffell. When Tim later left, Roger and Brian would join forces with Freddie to form Queen. Freddie’s interpretation of the song featured on the first Queen album. To recreate the original Smile version, Brian and Roger reunited with Staffell at Abbey Road Studios to re-record "Doing All Right" for the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack. This session which featured Roger, Tim and Brian all singing lead vocals took place almost 50 years after the original Smile recording.

With record sales estimated at 300 million and counting, Queen remains evergreen rock favourites whose glorious catalogue of songs continues to thrill fans of all ages across the globe. Despite the loss of Freddie in 1991, their following has continued to grow over the decades, boosted by a new wave of fans who first discovered the band's music through their hugely successful stage show We Will Rock You or via hit TV shows like Glee, American Idol and The X-Factor.

The Bohemian Rhapsody film and its original soundtrack album are certain to introduce Queen to a new generation of listeners and remind existing fans just how magnificent the band was in its prime. Queen remain spectacular performers today, both live and in the studio, their songs having comfortably stood the test of time. After almost 50 years together, Queen continues to be one of the most exciting and beloved bands in rock history.

Vocalist Giulio The Bastard says, "The song 'Passi Nel Vuoto' (translated to 'Steps Into The Void') is a parallel between the annihilation of the individual lost in the most obtuse massification, induced to waste and sedated in his emotions, and the value of life increasingly low - reduced to being a cog in the consumer machine. The graphics of our new album La Fine Cresce Da Dentro are all unreleased pictures taken from the vaults of a crime magazine that existed from the 1950s through the '90s, accessed from the archives of the criminal police based in Milano, Italy. In making this video we have chosen to alternate similar photos with scenarios of mass stratification and blind conformism. As the lyrics say, 'What's left is desolation / but it doesn't make sense to realize it / it's the weight of survival: how much you spend / how much you can cost'."

Stream two more tracks, “Non Coinvolto” and “La Memoria Del Dolore”, below. Both are available on all streaming services here.

Recorded at the legendary Fredman Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström (At The Gates, Dark Tranquility), La Fine Cresce da Dentro is eighteen tracks of inconceivable speed and brutality surpassing even their previous work. Over three decades in, Cripple Bastards are showing no signs of slowing down and continue to destroy unsuspecting eardrums with hate-filled, grind punk chaos.

ARTILLERY Streaming New Song "Crossroads To Conspiracy"

ARTILLERY Streaming New Song "Crossroads To Conspiracy"

November 16th will see Artillery release their new album, The Face Of Fear - which is the successor to 2016′s Penalty By Perception. The Face Of Fear is the band’s 9th studio album, and the third with the current lineup. For a preview of the record, the song "Crossroads To Conspiracy" is available for streaming below.

The Face Of Fear can be pre-ordered in the following formats:

- ltd. Digipak-CD with 2 exclusive bonus tracks
- 180 g black vinyl
- opaque grey blue marbeld vinyl (ltd. 300 - EU-exclusive)
- golden yellow blue marbled vinyl (ltd. 200 - EU-exclusive)
- blue green / white splattered vinyl (ltd. 100 - EMP-exclusive)
- blue/black marbled vinyl (ltd. 300 - US-exclusive)

The lyrics are Artillery as you know them, with subjects concerning the destruction of mankind, double standards, abuse and the looming worst-case scenarios. The Face Of Fear was recorded with long-time producer Soren Andersen at Medley Studios. It’s Soren’s fifth time at the helm, and once again he manages to deliver a monster production.

Soren comments: “Pure and raw! Some of the material of this album was originally written in the early 80′s, and that inspired us to go old school this time. Not too many layers, just classic Artillery thrash metal…And Bastholm is better than ever on this one. This is a no-filler album, created together with the band. I’m really proud of the final result and I hope everyone will enjoy it as much as I do!”

Artillery comments about the video for “The Face Of Fear”: “Most of the scenes for the video were shot at Amager strand park right outside of Copenhagen. And the live scenes go back to when the band visited Japan and played at the Thrash Dominations together with Exodus, Voivod and Sanctuary. The video was shot by the band’s good friend Terkel Christensen, who also did the video ‘When The Magic is Gone’, from the last album, Penalty By Perception. The song is about dealing the end of man by himself. We create our own phobia about the destruction of the world, but remain disrespectful to the globe.”

The Face Of Fear tracklisting:

"The Face Of Fear"
"Crossroads To Conspiracy"
"New Rage"
"Sworn Utopia"
"Through The Ages Of Atrocity"
"Thirst For The Worst"
"Pain"
"Under Water" (instumental)
"Preaching To The Converted"
"Mind Of No Return" (ltd. 1st ed. bonus track / re-recorded song from Artillery‘s first demo from 1982)
"Doctor Evil" (ltd. 1st ed. bonus track / 2018 version)

"Crossroads To Conspiracy":

"The Face Of Fear" video:

Since the last album, Penalty By Perception - which won the band four Danish Metal Awards in 2016 (best album, best band, best production and honorary prize) - Artillery has toured around the world, including Europe, South America and parts of Asia. For the rest of 2018, there will be time for Copenhell’s Metal Cruise and a Denmark tour, plus a release party on High Voltage. 2019 will include tours in Europe, South America and USA. Stay tuned for more news coming soon.

GENE SIMMONS Says He Still Hates Performing KISS's 'I Was Made For Lovin' You'

GENE SIMMONS Says He Still Hates Performing KISS's 'I Was Made For Lovin' You'

Gene Simmons says that he hates performing KISS's classic song "I Was Made For Lovin' You" because he is forced to sing like his grandmother.

Although "I Was Made For Lovin' You" was a huge chart success for KISS nearly 40 years ago, it was maligned by many of the band's fans who didn't appreciate the track's disco beat.

Asked in a new interview with OK! magazine to name a song that he wasn't initially crazy about that ended up becoming a hit, Gene said (see video below): "Well, Paul Stanley comes in and he says, 'Did you write any songs?' I go, 'Oh, yeah. I've got one called 'Almost Human'.' 'Yeah? How does it go?' 'I'm almost human. I can't help feelin' strange.' 'Yeah, that's cool. That's a Gene song.' 'How about you, Paul?' He goes, 'I've got one. [It goes] 'Tonight.'' "Ooooh. That's cool. What's the next line?' 'I'm gonna give it all to you.' 'Oh, yeah. I know what 'it' means — I know exactly what you mean.' 'In the darkness.' [Claps] 'Love that!' 'There something I wanna do.' 'Yeah, I know what that 'something' is. Wow! That's a cool song. Okay, what's my part?' [Sings] 'Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do.' 'You're killing me. Really? I'm gonna sing like my grandmother?' [Sings] 'Do, do, do…' I hate playing that song to [this] day. Stadiums full of people jump up and down like biblical locusts — they go nuts — with tattoos and grills on… 'Ahhhh!' They're all jumping up and down, and I'm going, 'Do, do, do, do, do, do… Kill me now.' Still — still to this day I hate that song."

After the female interviewer pressed him on whether the song ever grew on him after performing it for the last four decades, Gene said: "Well, how about you sing that song? You're a girl. I wanna sing guy stuff."

b>Stanley admitted last year that the success of "I Was Made For Lovin' You" was "a double-edged sword, because it became such a massive hit but it was also so contrary and contradictory to what we had done before." He added: "The funniest thing is when we do festivals sometimes in Europe where it's very much… the bands are quite heavy, well, when we do an encore of 'I Was Made For Lovin' You', you suddenly have all these people with spikes in their eyeballs or bones through their noses singing along. So it's a song that seems to transcend everything — although it went through a period, certainly, of a big backlash against it.

"I Was Made for Lovin' You" originally appeared on KISS's 1979 album "Dynasty". It was released as the A-side of their first single from the album. It was the band's second gold single, selling over 1 million copies. The single reached No. 11 on the U.S. Billboard singles chart. The song also became a Top 10 hit in Australia, reaching No. 6 on the ARIA charts in 1979. The song fared the best in Western Europe (Where it became a Top 20 hit in Sweden, a Top 10 hit in Norway, made it to the No. 2 position in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, and in Holland it became a No. 1 smash).
