Hear JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS' New Single, 'Fresh Start'"Fresh Start", a brand new song from Joan Jett, can be streamed below. The track is included in the Jett documentary "Bad Reputation", which will be released in theaters and on demand on September 28.
The film, which premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival, was directed by Kevin Kerslake and written by Joel Marcus.
"Bad Reputation" is described as "a look at the life of Joan Jett, from her early years as the founder of THE RUNAWAYS and first meeting with [manager/producer] Kenny Laguna in 1980 to her enduring presence in pop culture as a rock 'n' roll pioneer."
"Fresh Start" deals with the problems that rock singers face as they reach a certain age. "Sometimes you need to say to yourself, 'Am I still enjoying what I'm doing? I need to find the fire again,'" Jett told Entertainment Weekly, where the track premiered. "Part of it was just thinking about rock in general. It's always been a young person's game, writing about sex, love and partying. As rock and rollers get older, what do they write about? I'm not sure there's an answer, but we're looking for it."
The "Bad Reputation" soundtrack album will be released on Septembre 28 via Legacy/Blackheart. The career-spanning soundtrack premieres "Fresh Start", alongside definitive live and studio performances by JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS as well as tracks featuring THE RUNAWAYS, BIKINI KILL, members of THE SEX PISTOLS, and more. The album includes "Androgynous", an unreleased track performed by Miley Cyrus, Laura Jane Grace and Joan Jett.
JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS have created an unforgettable catalog of iconic recordings that can be heard around the world every day on radio as well in zeitgeist — capturing TV and motion picture soundtracks ranging from "Baby Mama", "Kick Ass", "Shrek" and "Easy A" to "Once Upon a Time", "Nashville", "CSI", "The Muppets", "True Blood", "Jessica Jones" and "The Sopranos" to Steven Spielberg's most recent science-fiction feature "Ready Player One". Jett's music has been used in a variety of commercials including campaigns for Target, Volkswagen, Hyundai and others.
An archetypal profoundly influential musician who's been called "the godmother of punk" and "the original Riot Grrrl," Joan Jett blew open the gates of rock and continues to inspire new generations of cultural revolutionaries.

Former ENUFF Z'NUFF Frontman DONNIE VIE To Release New Solo Album, 'Beautiful Things', In NovemberDonnie Vie is one of rock's biggest secrets who has been crafting melodic power pop and rock songs for over 30 years. He and his former band ENUFF Z'NUFF were instant critics' darlings. Donnie has amassed over 25 albums' worth of songs and decades of live shows to his name, both with and without his former band. Now a solo act, Vie is pleased to announce the release of his new album, "Beautiful Things", this November.
The disc's first single, titled "I Could Save The World", is described by Donnie as "a big song, full of passion and colors."
Without the fans and their support via PledgeMusic, "Beautiful Things" would not have been possible. Vie says: "With the help of you, my brothers and sisters, contributions will be applied directly to the source of what it takes to create and produce a great-quality record, while at the same time, all of us being hands on and connected throughout the process as its being made. For your contributions, there's a list of things I can offer in return besides a personal guarantee of 100% satisfaction of the results."
The album art itself features actual photos of backers that have supported the release.
ays Vie of the new record: "The Gods left a basket of really cool ideas on my doorstep, and then it was like a build-your-own sundae out of melodies and sounds. The result was pretty magical and exceeded my hopes. There truly are some really great cats playing on this stuff."
Players on the record inlcude: Paul Gilbert, Roger Joseph Manning, Jr., Matt Walker, Ed Breckenfeld, Jonny Polonsky, Casey McDonough, Phil Angotti, Jay O'Rourke, Alton Smith, Mike LePond, John Monaco, Donnie Vie.
Vie's hard rocking fan base is still at its strongest. The members of this cult-like following recognize Donnie's musical genius and embrace his poetic nature with its signature hooks. His supporters remain some of his most faithful, loyal and enthusiastic out there, and it is these fans who say that "these songs will stand the test of time because his songwriting and melodies are magical.

Watch DARK ANGEL Perform At CALIFORNIA DEATHFESTCapital Chaos TV has uploaded video footage of reactivated California thrash metal pioneers DARK ANGEL performing the song "We Have Arrived" on October 13 at the California Deathfest at the Oakland Metro Operahouse in Oakland, California. Check it out below.
DARK ANGEL is continuing to work on material for its long-awaited comeback album. The band's first CD since 1991's "Time Does Not Heal" will feature the lineup that has performed sporadic live shows since reuniting in 2013: Gene Hoglan (drums), Eric Meyer (guitar), Jim Durkin (guitar), Ron Rinehart (vocals) and Michael Gonzalez (bass).
Speaking to The Aquarian Weekly, Rinehart stated about DARK ANGEL's next disc: "I honestly feel this — if all of us could get in the same place for a certain amount of time, it would be something that is easy to do. That being said, it's hard to get the world's greatest drummer [Hoglan] who travels with everybody, Gonz [Gonzalez] in New Mexico, and me here in Washington.
"We have a lot of great ideas and awesome riffs," he continued. "Every time I hear a new riff, I just get super excited.
I would rather wait and have something be amazing than rush and have something be crap.
"Now that it is so highly anticipated, it really is going to be nerve-wracking putting it out.
"I am always constantly singing, whether we are doing something or not. For me, I always look at as being a prize fighter. You always need to have your instrument ready and for me, my instrument is my voice, so I always want to be ready to go. If the band says we need to do this now, I don't want to be the guy to nix that. I always want to be ready."
He added: "This will be all-new material."
Gene told KNAC.COM last year that he had "five or six songs ready to go" for DARK ANGEL's next album. "The stuff Jim's writing is deadly," he said. "And I'm trying to carry forth the youthful energy and aggression of 'Darkness Descends' with a little bit of what we were doing with 'Time Does Not Heal' and some cool-ass 'Leave Scars' thrown in. It sounds like DARK ANGEL, but I'm trying to err on the side of hyper-aggression, and that's cool with me. You never go wrong going heavier. So write a shit-ass heavy fucking record, that's gold in my book."
DARK ANGEL released two albums with Don Doty on vocals — 1984's "We Have Arrived" and 1986's "Darkness Descends" — before he exited the group and was replaced by Ron Rinehart (after a brief stint with Jim Drabos in 1987). The band issued two more studio LPs — 1989's "Leave Scars" and 1991's "Time Does Not Heal" — before calling it quits in 1992. Rinehart, Hoglan and Meyer reassembled DARK ANGEL more than a decade ago but were forced to abandon their reunion plans after health issues reportedly put Rinehart's singing career on hold.

ENSLAVED Frontman Slams 'Vikings' Television Series: 'It's Just A Dumb Hollywood Adaptation'One of the progenitors of Viking metal, ENSLAVED frontman Grutle Kjellson, isn't fond of the popular historical drama "Vikings". The series, which depicts the life and times of Viking Ragnar Lothbrok, stars Australian actor Travis Fimmel as Lothbrok and was recently renewed for a sixth season. Kjellson, a noted Viking history buff, said "everything about that series is fake" and is "just a dumb Hollywood adaptation."
In an interview with Diamond Oz of Metal Underground prior to ENSLAVED's October 14 concert at SWX in Bristol, United Kingdom, , Kjellson was first asked how he would compare ENSLAVED's latest studio album, "E", to its 2015 predecessor, "In Times". "We got a new member on 'E'," he said. "Of course, a new member brings a change in the band dynamics, obviously. So, there's more energy on 'E'. There's, how shall I put it? To me, it sounds a lot more vital and with the addition of Håkon [Vinje] on keys, we kind of, for the first time in our history, we kind of took advantage of having a keyboardist. He's really, really skilled. He comes from the prog rock, jazz rock scene, so he really colored the recordings with his amazing hands. That's one of the biggest differences. Of course, we spent a lot more time on details this time. We worked more closely together. It's more of a band effort than 'In Times' was."
Kjellson was then asked what he thinks of modern depictions of Viking culture, in particular "Vikings". "Terrible. Absolutely awful," he said. "I mean, the 'Vikings' is kind of destroying that era for me. I wouldn't mind if they — it's a fairytale. It's not based upon historical facts or artifacts at all. It's all based on archaeology and history. Everything with that series is fake. They didn't look like that, they didn't live like that, they didn't act like that and they for sure didn't speak like that. It's just a dumb Hollywood adaptation. It's not even an adaptation. It's a fairytale they called 'Vikings'. They might as well call it 'Conan And His Friends On New Adventures'. That's my opinion. [Laughs]"
With "E" now over a year and ENSLAVED often prone to releasing an album every other year, Kjellson asked whether the band had started composing new material. "Oh yeah," he said. "Of course. We have been very active since the release of 'E', playing a lot of shows and being on several tours. That activity will calm down a little bit next year. We have time to focus on writing and arranging new material. Something will definitely happen next year."
b>ENSLAVED recently completed a co-headline European tour with HIGH ON FIRE.
"E" was released in October 2017 via Nuclear Blast. The disc was recorded at Duper & Solslottet Studios in Bergen and was once again mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden. 11

RAMMSTEIN Guitarist's EMIGRATE Project To Release 'A Million Degrees' Album Feat. TILL LINDEMANN, CARDINAL COPIAEMIGRATE, the side project of RAMMSTEIN guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe, will release its third album, "A Million Degrees", on November 30 via Vertigo/Universal Music.
If there's a description that, personally and professionally, fits Kruspe like a Savile Row suit, "fired up" would be it…
As a member of RAMMSTEIN, the music world's most explosive live act, he has been part of a groundbreaking global success story that continues to build and to ignite; along the way, he's turned his attention to a number of parallel projects, such as constructing a new studio (and a new home) in his native Berlin, but it's his decision to launch the EMIGRATE setup that has given him the greatest chance to satisfy creative instincts outside of the parent group.
The first EMIGRATE album appeared in 2007 (a self-titled record that went Top 10 in Germany, with single/video "My World" appearing on the soundtrack to the third "Resident Evil" movie); "Silent So Long" followed in 2014, featuring guest vocals from such high-profile artists as Marilyn Manson, Jonathan Davis, Peaches and the legend that will always be Lemmy.
eaturing 11 tracks, a fresh production team plus vocal contributions from RAMMSTEIN's Till Lindemann, BILLY TALENT's Benjamin Kowalewicz, GHOST's Cardinal Copia and Margaux Bossieux (DIRTY MARY), "A Million Degrees" is less a follow-up to "Silent So Long" and more a re-booted take on the overall concept, continuing Kruspe's desire to craft something personal. He writes the material, including new single/video "1234" (spotlighting Kowalewicz), sings the bulk of the songs (in English) and works hard — sometimes in the face of adversity — to keep everything rubber-stamped as "special," fashioning a body of work that will appeal to both existing supporters and those who
appreciate the power of a great song delivered from heart above head…
The recordings for "A Million Degrees" started between March and May 2015. Due to a water damage in Kruspe's studio, however, the album had to be recorded again and was created in collaboration with Sky Van Hoff and Svante Vorsbäck.
The video for "1234" was shot in Los Angeles and was directed by Bill Yukich along with Kowalewicz and Ian D'Sa (BILLY TALENT), Bossieux, Joe Letz (COMBICHRIST) and Kruspe.
"A Million Degrees" track listing:
01. War
02. 1234 (feat. Ben Kowalewicz)
03. A Million Degrees
04. Lead On You (feat. Margaux Bossieux)
05. You Are So Beautiful
06. Hide And Seek
07. We Are Together
08. Let's Go (feat. Till Lindemann)
09. I'm Not Afraid (feat. Cardinal Copia)

SACROSANCT Feat. Former PESTILENCE Guitarist RANDY MEINHARD: Lyric Video For New Song 'Only One God'The official lyric video for the song "Only One God" from German/Dutch progressive metallers SACROSANCT, founded by former PESTILENCE guitarist Randy Meinhard, can be seen below. The track is taken from SACROSANCT's fourth album, "Necropolis", which will be released on November 30 via ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records. The disc was engineered, mixed and mastered by Max Morton of Morton Studios, who has also remastered the entire SACROSANCT back catalog. A prolific professional with a broad clientele, Max has worked with a wide variety of acts, including prominent Ukranian metalcore combo JINJER. The objective with "Necropolis" was to record a classic, analog-sounding album using modern technologies, and at the same time avoid any modern metal clichés.
The epic cover art for "Necropolis" was designed by Giannis Nakos based on the band's ideas, and perfectly portrays the album's dark subject matter. It prominently features SACROSANCT's new mascot, the Weeping Angel — a guardian and an avenger of injustice.
"Necropolis" track listing:
01. The New Age Of Fear
02. My Last White Light
03. The Grim Sleeper
04. Only One God
05. Melancholy
06. Clouds Obscured The Sun
07. NecroPolice
08. The Pain Still Lasts
hile "Necropolis" bears all of the hallmarks and intricacies that characterize SACROSANCT, it displays a more mature and focused songwriting approach. Songs like "The New Age Of Fear", "My Last White Light" and "Only One God" are lyrically thought-provoking, creating a brand of metal that still makes the band hard to categorize. Like its predecessor, "Tragic Intense", which was released in 1993, "Necropolis" places a strong emphasis on melancholy melodies and clean vocals, but also incorporates many harmony guitar parts, faster tempos and some modern twists that mark the beginning of a new chapter for the band.
SACROSANCT will celebrate the release of "Necropolis" with a special party at Hypothalamus in Rheine, Germany, on Friday, November 30.
SACROSANCT is:
Richard F. Hesselink - vocals
Randy Meinhard (ex-PESTILENCE) - guitars
Christian Göwert - guitars
Kees Harrison (ex-SPHERE OF SOULS) - bass
Jonas Schütz - drums
SACROSANCT was formed in 1988 by guitarist Randy Meinhard and drummer Marco Foddis, who had learned to know each either while joining PESTILENCE. In 1990, SACROSANCT released its debut album, "Truth Is - What Is". The album is characterized by technically sophisticated thrash metal. The dual guitars create a straight as well as spherical and melodious tapestry of sound, interrupted by the tight drumming and the moaning, but angry and rude voice. Creative band head Randy Meinhard considered guitar duos of bands like QUEENSRŸCHE, EXODUS and IRON MAIDEN as a main influence, and Ace Frehley of KISS as initial spark.
SACROSANCT released its second album, "Recesses For The Depraved", in 1991. With a more edgy sound it was little melodious and spheric than the debut. For the album cover, SACROSANCT even managed to secure the rights for H.R. Giger's picture "Das Spiegelbild". When Giger died, 23 years later, Rolling Stone magazine stated "the disturbing Giger cover art accurately conveyed the savage nature of the music."
The third album, "Tragic Intense", was even more melodious and spherical than the debut. On the other hand, staccato parts are rarely on it. In an interview for the music mag Iron Pages, Randy Meinhard stated in 1993 that the dark basic mood is what we intended to do. It just should sound sinister. In that issue Markus Wosgien (Nuclear Blast) described the album as a mixture of thrash, doom and power metal, and classified it as a milestone in this genre. 3

GARY MOORE Tribute Album: Listen To 'Empty Rooms' Featuring BOB DAISLEY, NEIL CARTERThe song "Empty Rooms" from the upcoming tribute album dedicated to legendary guitarist Gary Moore can be streamed below. The track features Neil Carter on lead vocals and keyboards, Bob Daisley on bass, harmonica and backing vocals, Rob Grosser on drums, Illya Szwec on guitar and Rosanna Daisley on backing vocals.
Due on October 26 via earMUSIC, "Moore Blues for Gary - A Tribute To Gary Moore" is the brainchild of Bob Daisley, who had played bass with Gary since the early eighties.
The sky was crying when Moore passed away on February 6, 2011. From THIN LIZZY to COLOSSEUM II, together with his solo hits "Parisienne Walkways" and "Out In The Fields", Gary influenced a whole generation of guitar players and guitar playing.
Daisley is known for suggesting to Gary that he should make a blues album — the rest is history. "Still Got The Blues" was an immense hit, followed by a series of classic modern blues albums. Bob, also known for his contributions to RAINBOW and OZZY OSBOURNE, was the driving force behind "Moore Blues For Gary".
In my opinion, Gary was one of the best guitarists who ever lived," says Bob Daisley. "It was an honor for me to have worked with him and to have known him so well.
"When Gary passed away in 2011, the world lost one of the all-time greats. I don't think that enough was said or done at the time to acknowledge the loss of such a great player so I took it upon myself to pay personal tribute to the man and record some new versions of his music, mostly from his blues catalog.
"I asked many members of the Gary Moore family tree, and some other great players, to contribute to the project. The response was not only encouraging but very moving. It seems that the name Gary Moore is also synonymous with the words 'respect', 'honour' and 'greatness.'
"I didn't set out to recreate anything that Gary had done, or to compete in any way. These arrangements and performances represent a 'hats off' to Gary and nothing more.
"Long live the memory of Robert William Gary Moore. Yes, he was another 'Bob' — something that I wasn't aware of for all of those years that I worked with him.
"I feel such gratitude towards the people who contributed to this album and I'm honored to have worked with them all."
John Sykes (ex-THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE) makes a triumphant return after a long absence with an uber-emotional rendition of "Still Got The Blues", with the soulful vocals by Daniel Bowes (THUNDER) complementing each other.
"Parisienne Walkways" is played by Steve Morse (DEEP PURPLE, DIXIE DREGS) and Ricky Warwick (THIN LIZZY, BLACK STAR RIDERS, THE ALMIGHTY), with the unlikely pair resulting in a miraculous chemistry.
Gary's friends are here — his rocking keyboard / guitar / vocal sidekick Neil Carter sings "Empty Rooms", which he co-wrote with Gary. Don Airey (DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW) and Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE) had joined forces with Gary on numerous occasions, together with Eric Singer (KISS) and Darrin Mooney (PRIMAL SCREAM). Brush Shiels, the leader of Gary's first professional band SKID ROW, also makes an appearance.
Doug Aldrich (WHITESNAKE, DIO), Steve Lukather (TOTO), Joe Lynn Turner (RAINBOW), Jeff Watson (NIGHT RANGER), Damon Johnson (BLACK STAR RIDERS, ALICE COOPER) and Stan Webb (CHICKEN SHACK) also unsparingly pour all their emotions to show their appreciation to Gary.
Gary's sons Jack and Gus are also involved, playing guitar and singing on "This One's For You", showing that the "Blood Of Emeralds" still runs their veins.
During his blues days, Gary made two albums to thank the guitarists that made him who he was: "Blues For Greeny" for Peter Green of FLEETWOOD MAC, and "Blues For Jimi" for Jimi Hendrix. Now, this is his turn to be rewarded with an album full of love and respect. We still got the blues for you.

BRING ME THE HORIZON Releases 'Wonderful Life' Single Feat. DANI FILTHU.K. rockers BRING ME THE HORIZON have just released a single titled "Wonderful Life" from their highly anticipated album "Amo", which is due on January 25 via Columbia Records. The track, featuring CRADLE OF FILTH frontman Dani Filth, received its first play on Daniel P. Carter's BBC Radio 1 show.
Fans who pre-order the album digitally will receive instant downloads of "Wonderful Life" and previously released track "Mantra".
The album tracklisting was also exclusively revealed, along with other special guests on the record, which include Grimes and Rahzel.
The single comes hot on the tail of the release of "Mantra", which sat on Radio 1's playlist for eight weeks and has been streamed over 34 million times since its arrival in August.
b>BRING ME THE HORIZON frontman Oli Sykes says of the new track: "The lyrics for 'Wonderful Life' were done freestyle in the studio. It's stream of consciousness-type stuff about getting old and out of touch, being off tour and loving the mundane things in life, I guess because it's so novel when your life is mainly spent on the road. Things like weekly shops and mowing your lawn are quite nice. People who spend most of their lives away from home can surely relate. I guess on top of that there's this inner crisis I have of being a boring person but still having a desire to go wild inside me every now and again… But, yeah, all in all, it's mostly word vomit... but also some of my favorite lyrics. The beginning is 100 percent legit and the irony was just too good, so we left it like that."
BRING ME THE HORIZON's North American 16-city "First Love" tour will kick off January 23 and will include stops at The Forum in Los Angeles and Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, where a second show was just added due to overwhelming demand.
"Amo" track listing:
01. I Apologise If You Feel Something
02. Mantra
03. Nihilist Blues (feat. Grimes)
04. In The Dark
05. Wonderful Life (feat. Dani Filth)
06. Ouch
07. Medicine
08. Sugar Honey Ice & Tea
09. Why You Gotta Kick Me When I'm Down?
10. Fresh Bruises
11. Mother Tongue
12. Heavy Metal (feat. Rahzel)

ON THORNS I LAY Reveal “In Emerald Eyes” Lyric VideoOn Thorns I Lay have just unleashed a new lyric video entitled "In Emerald Eyes", taken from their latest full length album Aegean Sorrow released last March by Alone Records Spain.
Once again, the video is the work of Greek graphic designer Manthos Stergiou.
The band will be headlining next Saturday November 3rd in Athens the first edition of The Room Of Doom Festival together with Ocean of Grief, Decemberance and Marche Funebre.
Aegean Sorrow was captured at Devasoundz Studios by Fotis Benardo (Rotting Christ, Septic Flesh) and mixed and mastered at Unisound AB Studio by Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Bloodbath, Incision). Easily among the most intense records of their more than 20-year career, Aegean Sorrow fuses seemingly clashing concepts of catchy melodies and an incessantly mournful ambiance throughout. "We never stopped listening to our favorite albums - simple atmospheric doom death metal music since our formative years - so this is how Aegean Sorrow was created," the band notes. "It is a mix taken from our first demos and our first four albums back in the '90s, but with a modern sound. It is exactly what we love to hear, first of all, as fans. No trends, just pure feelings and music. Aegean Sorrow is the music we have dreamed of since we were teenagers. Waves of emotions flow over and over; it is a magical journey into the depth of our soul."

HALLOW POINT Reveal “A Quiet Place” VideoSt. Louis-based modern metal group Hallow Point recently kicked off the first leg of their current U.S. tour, hitting several major cities before coming to an end in Louisville, KY on October 27th. The second leg of the tour kicks off in Chicago, IL on November 30th, and will visit more cities before ending on December 8th in Kirksville, MO.
In celebration of the tour, Hallow Point have revealed their new, action packed, eerie music video for their brand new single, "My Resistance", produced, mixed, and mastered by Andy Karpovck (The Audio Compound). Inspired by the blockbuster hit film A Quiet Place, the video sees the band performing in a barn in a remote area of the country. Things seem normal at first, but as the video progresses, it becomes clear that something very strange is afoot.
Guitarist Bill Brynda says, "'My Resistance' was one of the most exciting projects we've collectively worked on as a band. The concept for the video was inspired by A Quiet Place and became a metaphor for the song itself. It revolves around forgiving yourself for things that haunt you and how destructive these negative thoughts can become if they consume you. Our hope is that anyone struggling with a similar situation can use these lyrics as a source of strength to win their personal battles."
The "My Resistance" video was directed by Josiah Moore, with animation by Jacob Dalton. Brynda adds, "We had the pleasure of working with our friend and director, Josiah Moore, who also enlisted the help of animator Jacob Dalton, who did animation for the most recent Star Wars films!"

BLOOD OF THE SUN Streaming Live Footage From European TourBlood's Thicker Than Love is the forthcoming new full-length from Texas-based '70s-inspired hard rockers Blood Of The Sun, featuring drummer Henry Vasquez (Saint Vitus).
Drawing influences from the likes of Deep Purple, Mountain, Humble Pie, and Led Zeppelin, Blood Of The Sun has been delivering ultra-catchy hard rock over the course of four albums, churning out upbeat '70s radio hits with ease and conviction. The band's latest long player will see release in the US on November 2nd via Listenable Records.
In the meantime, sample some pro-shot live footage of the band from their recent European tour.
Founded by Vasquez and keyboard player Dave Gryder, Blood Of The Sun has been joined by a number of talented players over the years, including Derek St. Holmes from Ted Nugent's band. Blood Of The Sun 2018 however is stronger than ever before featuring vocalist Sean Vargas, who was recruited shortly after the release of their previous album Burning On The Wings Of Desire. A natural fit thanks to his high register wail and just enough grit, Vargas is united by newest additions, guitarists Wyatt Burton and Alex Johnson. These three players have rounded out the lineup of the band's core, being Vasquez, Gryder, and bassist Roger "Kip" Yma on bass.
"We got in the jam room and everything just clicked," notes Vasquez of the Blood's Thicker Than Love writing process, "it was pretty smooth sailing after that, minus the Texas heat.
"We began tracking the album early July," he continues. "We recorded at The Lair in Arlington, Texas with our guitar player Alex Johnson handling the engineering. We took a straightforward approach. We just got in and laid down our tracks and tried to make a killer hard rock record our way. Alex did an excellent job, not to mention the usual superb mixing and mastering by Tony Reed (Mos Generator, Stone Axe)."
The debut track from Blood's Thicker Than Love, "Keep The Lemmys Comin'," is a particular stand out. "'Keep The Lemmys Comin" was written right after [Motörhead's] Lemmy [Kilmister] passed. The lyrics just came right away. Everyone was talking about how Jack and Cokes were going to be called Lemmys and we thought that was a killer way to pay tribute to him. He's an absolute legend and a huge influence, especially on our guitar players Wyatt and Alex. Once they joined, they put their own spin on what was there and we came out with what we think is a great homage to the man, myth, and legend of Lemmy. The song is about living in the moment and going all out. There are times when it’s necessary to go off the deep end and this song is the soundtrack for a time like that. It's also a killer driving song!"
"Blood's thicker than love" by BLOOD OF THE SUN
Tracklisting:
“Keep The Lemmys Comin’”
“My Time”
“Livin’ For The Night”
“Air Rises As You Drown”
“Stained Glass Window”
“Blood Of The Road”

KISS's Setlist For 'End Of The Road' Tour Will Be Expanded To 25 Songs, Says PAUL STANLEYKISS frontman Paul Stanely has told the Associated Press in a new interview that the setlist for the band's "farewell" tour, dubbed "One Last Kiss: End Of The Road World Tour", will be expanded from the recent 16 songs to 25. He added that KISS has "thrown away every piece of hardware that we used on any of the previous tours and created a completely new show."
Stanley also once again said that the tour could include appearances by former members.
"I wouldn't discount any possibilities," he said. "I learned long ago to never say never. Would I negate the possibility of former members making appearances? Absolutely not. I don't know in what capacity."
"One Last Kiss: End Of The Road World Tour" will launch in early 2019 and will likely last two or three years, according to Stanley.
s most fans remember, back in 2000 and 2001, KISS already performed a "Farewell Tour". The trek played 142 shows over five legs, covering North America, Japan, and Australia and was the final tour with the original lineup of Stanley, Gene Simmons (bass, vocals), Peter Criss (drums) and Ace Frehley (guitar). But the band returned in 2003 for a co-headlining tour with AEROSMITH and has remained steady road warriors.
KISS's current lineup includes Stanley, Simmons, guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer.
Rumors of KISS's final run of live shows gained strength several months ago following the news that the band was attempting to trademark the phrase "The End Of The Road." An application from KISS was filed in February to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which means that the band could use it in connection with "live performances by a musical band."

HAKEN Streaming New Single “A Cell Divides”Haken, one of progressive music’s most exciting bands, are set to release their much-anticipated fifth studio album titled Vector, in a week’s time on October 26th. The album was produced by the band themselves, and recorded & mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood (Periphery, Devin Townsend Project), with the artwork once again being handled by Blacklake.
Today the band have released a video for “A Cell Divides”, the third track taken from the album.
The band comments: "Spawned from some hotel room writing sessions last year, Vector's album closer was a fresh approach to concise song writing, for which we are not typically known. While the lyrics in ‘A Cell Divides’ unlock more clues to the narrative of Vector, the video, filmed mostly in slow motion, contradicts the frantic pace of the song and delves into the beauty of flawed and warped imagery."
The album will be available as limited edition 2CD Digipak (including instrumental versions), gatefold vinyl 2LP + CD, & as digital download.

It became the largest single-day paid attendance in U.S. rock concert history.
This astonishing concert is now the subject of a new documentary book, Deep Purple at the California Jam, released December 2012. Collecting together hundreds of black and white and colour images from a number of photographers who had all area access to the concert (and rehearsals), the large 12" by 12" format presentation allows these images to shine. The text is supported by an impressive collection of rare memorabilia including internal documents, set-lists, passes, posters, tickets and even the repair bills for the TV camera.

It’s in the cauldron of a Rolling Stones gig that the sheer heft of their legacy truly knocks you sideways, and soon the Miami crowd were roaring in appreciation as Jagger bounded on stage to the opener "Not Fade Away". Later in the proceedings, their B-stage excursion brilliantly set them up close with fans who suddenly realized that they had the best tickets in the house during an acoustic, three-song mini-set - which spoke volumes about the band’s ability to strip everything back to its essential core.
Filmed on November 25th, 1994 at Miami’s Joe Robbie stadium, the show’s stunningly futuristic staging was way ahead of its time and set a new high watermark in production for stadium shows through the rest of the decade, helping it become the biggest grossing tour ever at that point. This new version, which has been recut and restored from the original rushes and includes newly remixed and remastered audio, reinstates the ten tracks cut from the original video release in the 1990s back in their original running order here for the first time.
Bonus features for visual formats include five tracks from an earlier show at Giants Stadium, New Jersey, that were not performed in Miami, making this the definitive record of The Rolling Stones on the road in the mid-nineties.
Pre-orders for DVD+2CD, Blu-ray+2CD, triple vinyl, digital video, digital audio and HD digital audio are here. Pre-orders for the limited edition triple red vinyl and Voodoo Lounge Uncut t-shirt are here.
