OZZY OSBOURNE Undergoes Hand Surgery; Tonight's Mountain View Concert PostponedOzzy Osbourne's Saturday, October 6 show at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California has been postponed due to illness. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter is being treated for an infection, which required surgery on his hand this morning. Osbourne will spend a couple of days at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, where he'll remain under doctor's care as they monitor the infection.
The Mountain View show is part of Ozzy's North American "No More Tours 2", produced by Live Nation, which is expected to resume on Tuesday, October 9 at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre in Chula Vista before this leg of the tour wraps with shows at the Hollywood Bowl (October 11) in Los Angeles and Las Vegas (October 13) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. STONE SOUR will perform on these three shows.
The October 6 show has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 16 (support act for the new date is to be announced). Ticket holders for the October 6 show should hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored at the rescheduled date on October 16. Refunds are also available at point of purchase.
"No More Tours 2" is a reference to Ozzy's 1992 "No More Tours" trek, which marked the first time the singer announced the end of his days as a touring artist. The tour name was a pun based on the title of his then-most recent solo album, "No More Tears". Ozzy returned to action three years later and has been on the road ever since.
ast year, Ozzy reunited with guitarist Zakk Wylde, who played on studio albums such as "No Rest For The Wicked", "No More Tears" and "Ozzmosis" and who has toured on and off with Ozzy for nearly thirty years. 7

BLIND GUARDIAN Uploads Final Instalment Of Historical Documentary Series; VideoGerman bashers Blind Guardian present the fourth and final part of their historical documentary series, in which they talk about the band's origins. Check out four instalments below.
Part 1:
Part 2:
Part 3
Part 4:
Blind Guardian recently launched the pre-order for their next reissues, Imaginations From The Other Side, Nightfall In Middle-Earth and A Night At The Opera, which will be available on November 30th via Nuclear Blast. The back-catalogue has been remixed and remastered, and is available in 2CD-digi and 2LP gatefold vinyl format with individual colors.
More reissues are due to follow, in total there will be 10 Blind Guardian re-releases.
Singer Hansi Kürsch comments: "All these albums will not only be available as beautiful 2CD-digipak versions but can also be purchased as gatefold vinyl. Since the vinyl versions of our back catalogue have become so rare over the years, people have kept on asking us about re-issues. Now your wish is granted. The CD version will contain two CDs. One will feature an up to date sounding re-mix and the other will contain the original mix. Both sound great! In comparison to the original mixes, our input on the re-mix versions has been far greater, and therefore have been used for the vinyl versions. They sound fresher, richer and more exciting than the original ones and still pay tribute to the original recordings. It is 100% old school Blind Guardian with a modern twist. What more can you ask for?."

BURNING WITCHES: 'Hexenhammer' VideoThe official video for "Hexenhammer", the new single from the Swiss all-girl heavy metal outfit BURNING WITCHES, can be seen below. The song is the title track of the band's second album, which will be released on November 9 via Nuclear Blast Records. The disc was produced at the Little Creek Studio in Switzerland by the same team as its predecessor: V.O. Pulver (PRO-PAIN, DESTRUCTION, NERVOSA, PÄNZER) and DESTRUCTION frontman Schmier, who helped and advised as a close friend of the band.
BURNING WITCHES commented: "The filming of the 'Hexenhammer' video was an exciting new experience for the band.
"Our second video dives into the story of Malleus Maleficarum, written by the discredited Catholic clergyman Heinrich Kramer to [legitimize] his cruel deeds against woman in the 15th century.
The title track stands for the album — it is melodic and heavy and reflects the sound of the band in a perfect way!
We hope you will enjoy the video, which opens up a new authentic chapter for the band!
"We wanna thank the Witchcraft museum in Gränichen/Switzerland and its founder and director Miss Wicca Meier-Spring and her team for the support on this large project. Also we wanna thank the Operahouse of Zurich for the costumes and the props. Ancient recordings and editing by Michael Buzek. Cheers to the whole team for making this amazing venture possible!"
The cover artwork for "Hexenhammer" was created by acclaimed artist Gyula Havancsák from Hungary, who has also created artwork for DESTRUCTION, ANNIHLATOR, GRAVE DIGGER, STRATOVARIUS, TANKARD and many more.
Gyula says: "It is not too easy to make a 'metal' cover when the main character and focus is an attractive woman. It is much easier to create gory images with monsters or devils for me. But I remembered that my first original casette was the WARLOCK 'Triumph And Agony' album, so I felt very motivated to incorporate both of those aspects: some black magic and some beautiful ladies. I got some instructions and a sketch from the band — so I painted the witch and the altar first as a main focus and everybody loved the character and the feeling of the image. When I added the ghost images of the girls, it all aligned into a dark magic artwork with beautiful ladies."
"Hexenhammer" track listing:
01. The Witch Circle
02. Executed
03. Lords Of War
04. Open Your Mind
05. Don't Cry My Tears
06. Maiden Of Steel
07. Dungeon Of Infamy
08. Dead Ender
09. Hexenhammer
10. Possession
11. Maneater
12. Holy Diver
Bonus tracks:
13. Self Sacrifice
14. Don't Cry My Tears (acoustic)
Schmier previously stated about BURNING WITCHES: "Those ladies sound original, fresh and heavy! I love the classical heavy metal influence and the [Rob] Halford-inspired vocals!
He continued: "The BURNING WITCHES will sure get their fans. Their sound, in between classical [JUDAS] PRIEST and U.S. power metal like ICED EARTH, caught my attention right away."
BURNING WITCHES was founded during spring 2015 in Brugg, Switzerland, by guitar player Romana Kalkuhl. It has always been her big dream to perform with a women's heavy metal band on stage.
In 2015, Romana started to look for talented ladies for the new combo. Jeanine Grob (bass), a longtime friend, became the first official member. At a party at a festival, Romana met Seraina Telli (singer) for the first time. It clicked right away between the two girls, on a musical and on a personal level. Seraina brought in many ideas and a lot of experience because of her studies at the Music Academy and her band SURRILIUM. The guitarist and the singer became a great songwriting team right away.
Romana wrote Schmier from DESTRUCTION about her new project, and the ladies brought him onboard as a producer/consultant.
After an intensive search and different auditions, BURNING WITCHES found Lala Frischknecht the perfect drummer for the all-girl metal band.
BURNING WITCHES' latest addition is guitarist Sonia Nusselder, who joined the band in January 2018.
BURNING WITCHES is:
Seraina Telli (Vocals)
Romana Kalkuhl (Guitars)
Sonia Nusselder (Guitars)
Jeanine Grob (Bass)
Lala Frischknecht (Drums) 1

RUSH Celebrates 40th Anniversary Of Hemispheres Album With Expanded Reissue; Complete Details RevealedOn November 16th, UMe/Anthem/ole label group continues its extensive Rush 40th anniversary album series with a new, expanded edition of the band’s groundbreaking 1978 release, Hemispheres.
Hemispheres, Rush’s sixth studio album, was originally released in October 1978, and it built upon the adventurous sonic template the band established on its acclaimed 1977 effort, A Farewell To Kings. The album’s first track, “Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres,” encompassed the entirety of Side 1 on the original release and was the logical, heady continuation of the epic album-ending Kings track, “Cygnus X-1.” Side 2 commenced with the hard-driving commentary on English culture “Circumstances,” followed by the socially aware and environmentally conscious FM radio hit “The Trees,” and concluded with the instrumental tour de force and longtime concert favorite, “La Villa Strangiato.”
“Hemispheres was one of our most challenging and demanding records to make,” says Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson. “From its inception in a Wales farmhouse where it was written over a 4 week span,” Lifeson continues, “to the very difficult mixing sessions in two London recording studios, it stands as a key transitional album in Rush’s long recording history.”
Hemispheres- 40th Anniversary will be available to fans in four distinct configurations, including the (1) Super Deluxe Edition, (2) two-CD Deluxe Edition, (3) three-LP Deluxe Edition, and (4) Deluxe Digital Edition.
The Super Deluxe Edition includes two CDs, one exclusive Blu-ray Audio disc, and three high-quality 180-gram black vinyl LPs. The set encompasses the Abbey Road Studios 2015 remastered edition of the album for the first time on CD, along with previously unreleased and newly restored bonus content consisting of the band’s masterful June 1979 Pinkpop Festival performance in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, the Pinkpop recording engineer failed to capture the first several minutes of “2112,” so an amazing, unreleased performance of the song during the Hemispheres tour from Tucson, Arizona in November 1978 appears here in its place. The third bonus disc is the album newly mixed from the original multitracks in 5.1 surround sound on a Blu-ray Audio disc, along with four bonus videos: three shot in 1978 as promo videos, and one of “La Villa Strangiato,” originally shot at Pinkpop with newly restored stereo audio.
The Super Deluxe Edition of Hemispheres - 40th Anniversary will also include several exclusive items, including a 40-page hardcover book with unreleased photos and new artwork by original album designer Hugh Syme; an extensive, 11,000+-word essay by Rob Bowman; The Words & The Pictures, a replica of the band’s rare 1979 UK tour program; a 24x24-inch wall poster of the newly created Syme art; a Pinkpop Festival replica ticket; a Pinkpop Festival replica cloth VIP sticky pass; and a replica 1978 “Rush” Hemispheres iron-on patch.
The second configuration of Hemispheres - 40th Anniversary will be released in a two-CD Deluxe Edition digipak that includes the newly remastered Hemispheres album; the Pinkpop Festival performance and “2112” from Arizona; a 28-page booklet with unreleased photos and new artwork by Syme; and an edited, 5,700-word version of Bowman’s aforementioned essay.
The third Hemispheres configuration will be offered as an audiophile black vinyl 180-gram three-LP Deluxe Edition featuring the same audio content as the two-CD edition housed in a slipcase with double-gatefold packaging, along with a 24-page booklet with unreleased photos and Syme’s new artwork and the 5,700-word version of Bowman’s liner notes. Gatefold 1 features the original album with Syme’s 40th anniversary artwork, while Gatefold 2 contains the Pinkpop Festival and Arizona bonus content. A 5x5-inch digital download card sticker of Syme’s new 40th anniversary art is also included.
The fourth configuration, the Deluxe Digital Edition, is the digital equivalent to the two-CD Deluxe Edition.
Rush - bassist/keyboardist/vocalist Geddy Lee, guitarist/vocalist Alex Lifeson, and drummer/lyricist Neil Peart - maintains a large and supremely passionate worldwide fanbase that recognizes and respects the band’s unique, bold, and always exploratory songcraft that combines sterling musicianship, complex compositions, and distinctive lyrical flair. Rush has sold more 25 million albums in the U.S. alone, with worldwide sales estimated at 45 million (and counting), and has been awarded 24 Gold, 14 Platinum, and three Multi-Platinum album distinctions. Rush has received seven Grammy nominations, and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

ASKING ALEXANDRIA Scores Third Top 10 Radio Hit With 'Alone In A Room'U.K. metalcore band ASKING ALEXANDRIA has scored its third Top 10 hit at active rock radio as "Alone In A Room" moved up to No. 9 this week. The track is the second single to be taken from the band's eponymous fifth studio album, released last December via Sumerian Records.
To date, "Alone In A Room" has racked up a whopping 13.3 million streams on Spotify, 28 million global streams, 4.9 million YouTube views and spent 5 weeks at No. 1 on SiriusXM's "Big Uns" countdown. Its popularity and chart ascendance show no sign of slowing down.
Speaking on ASKING ALEXANDRIA's latest radio success, guitarist Ben Bruce said: "This has been one of the most exciting and fulfilling album cycles in ASKING ALEXANDRIA's history, and just to keep things interesting, we have only gone and cracked Top 10 at active rock radio. This is such a huge accomplishment and it wouldn't be possible without the INSANE amount of support you have given us. I don't have the words to express how truly grateful I am, so let me just start by saying THANK YOU. We love you."
Combining the innovation of modern active rock with the traditional attitude of the culture's trailblazers. ASKING ALEXANDRIA has now firmly cemented its place in the upper echelons of modern rock. They've shared the stage with GUNS N' ROSES, GREEN DAY, ALICE IN CHAINS, AVENGED SEVENFOLD and SLIPKNOT; co-headlined with BLACK VEIL BRIDES; joined Warped Tour and Rockstar Mayhem; played every major rock festival in the world; and headlined sold-out theater tours. Their singles "The Final Episode" and "Not The American Average" were both certified gold by the RIAA for sales in excess of 500,000 copies each. The music videos for those two singles alone amassed over 100 million views on YouTube. Their third full-length album, "From Death To Destiny" (2013), shot to No. 1 on the rock and metal charts in the U.K. and cracked the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 in the United States upon its release.
b>ASKING ALEXANDRIA is currently on the road with GODSMACK and SHINEDOWN and will play the Monster Energy Aftershock festival in Sacramento on October 13. On Monday, the band announced that they will join SHINEDOWN and PAPA ROACH for the "Attention Attention" tour in early 2019. Starting in Estero, Florida at the Hertz Arena on February 20, the trek will then go on to play a further 17 arenas across the country, ending in Loveland, Colorado at the Budweiser Events Centre. 1

Video Premiere: PSYCROPTIC's 'Directive'The official music video for "Directive", a brand new song from Tasmanian extreme metal stalwarts PSYCROPTIC, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's seventh full-length studio album, "As The Kingdom Drowns", which will be released on November 9. The effort will be made available on all digital outlets, compact disc, limited-edition cassette and on five different colored LPs.
Formed by brothers Dave and Joe Haley, PSYCROPTIC has always lived in that very small space between technical and metal. The over-the-top insanity peaked with their third album, 2006's "Symbols Of Failure". From there, the band looked to smooth things out a bit, whether it was with some ambience or industrial elements in 2008's "Ob(Servant)" or focusing in on the groove on 2012's "The Inherited Repression". 2015's "Psycroptic" seemed to encompass all that the band had done, so where does one go from there? For the band, it was somewhat easy.
The self-titled album gave the band a new and solid platform to launch off of, making experimentation easier. The hard part was where to go and just how far to take it. Singer Jason Peppiatt comments: "As always with this band, we wanted it to have the distinctive sound of a PSYCROPTIC album but wanted to push ourselves further with adding new elements and having a darker vibe than on previous releases. I think we achieved our goal and this is something we are all very proud of."
The new album was once again produced by J. Haley and was mixed and mastered by Will Putney. Artwork was handled by Mariusz Lewandowsky.
b>"As The Kingdom Drowns" track listing:
01. We Were The Keepers
02. Frozen Gaze
03. Directive
04. Deadlands
05. As The Kingdom Drowns
06. Beyond The Black
07. Upon These Stones
08. Momentum of the Void
09. You Belong Here, Below
As PSYCROPTIC approaches its 20th anniversary, it's nice to see them sounding as fresh as ever. With age comes wisdom and maturity. All the band's previous work got them to where they are at today. Comfortable in their own shoes, nothing to prove, being able to look back at their earlier years with pride and seeing a long road ahead that they know they are ready to tackle.
PSYCROPTIC is:
Dave Haley - drums
Joe Haley - guitar
Jason Peppiatt - vocals
Todd Stern - bass guitar

LEGION OF THE DAMNED: 'The Widow's Breed' Lyric VideoThe official lyric video for "The Widow's Breed", a new song from the Dutch thrash/death/black metal outfit LEGION OF THE DAMNED, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's upcoming comeback album, "Slaves Of The Shadow Realm", which will be released on January 4, 2019 via Napalm Records. The follow-up to 2014's "Ravenous Plague" was produced by Andy Classen and merges the unadulterated fury of the early LEGION OF THE DAMNED years with the sophistication of a veteran band.
Vocalist Maurice Swinkels comments on the new record: "With our seventh opus, entitled 'Slaves Of The Shadow Realm', we tried to take it a little further as where 'Ravenous Plague' ended in terms of melody, but we definitely maintain the heavy songwriting and rawness that LEGION OF THE DAMNED is known for.
"Simplicity is the key with LEGION OF THE DAMNED and less is more. With 'Slaves Of The Shadow Realm', we go full speed ahead with heaviness, but we took it a bit farther by bringing in melody and atmosphere.
"I think this is LEGION's best album to date: It crushes, it is fast, it has atmosphere and it is raw! In terms of lyrics, this is our darkest album, written by Tony 'Skullcrusher' Manero, who was also responsible for the lyrics and concepts of the albums 'Malevolent Rapture', 'Cult Of The Dead', 'Feel The Blade', 'Ravenous Plague', 'Sons Of The Jackal' and 'Descent into Chaos'.
We are really excited to be back after four years and hope that the true LEGION fan digs this album — I am 100% certain that they will love it!
"This is LEGION OF THE DAMNED — without the bells and whistles. The wait is over and we are back!"
"Slaves Of The Shadow Realm" track listing:
01. The Widow's Breed
02. Nocturnal Commando
03. Charnel Confession
04. Slaves of The Southern Cross
05. Warhounds Of Hades
06. Black Banners In Flames

Video Premiere: DANKO JONES's 'We're Crazy'Acclaimed Canadian hard rock trio DANKO JONES has released the official music video for its new single, "We're Crazy". The song marks the first taste of DANKO JONES's forthcoming, as-yet-untitled new album, which will be released in the spring via M-Theory Audio (U.S.), Rise Above (UK), Indica (Canada, Australia, New Zealand) and AFM (rest of the world). The track — which the group has performed live in recent months during appearances at major European festivals such as Summer Breeze and Copenhell — was recorded with Garth Richardson earlier this year. The group is currently tracking additional material with the famed producer at The Farm Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The "We're Crazy" video features live and backstage footage culled from recent performances at Germany's Summer Breeze festival, Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting, Hollywood's legendary Viper Room and more.
"The video for our new single, 'We're Crazy', is a glimpse into the wild and crazy world of touring," DANKO JONES's frontman and namesake said. "It's non-stop, it's rapid-fire and it's never dull."
DANKO JONES — which will tour Europe from November 14 through December 15 — has also confirmed its first tour of 2019, which will see the group headline throughout the Western United States with support from NASHVILLE PUSSY and PRIMA DONNA. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, September 25.
b>DANKO JONES's latest album, 2017's "Wild Cat", cracked the sales charts in Canada and eight European territories, achieving the group's highest chart positions yet in Germany, France, Belgium and Switzerland. Upon its release, lead single "My Little RNR" became one of the fastest-streaming songs of the band's career and has since become a live staple.
Over the years, DANKO JONES has earned extensive praise for their visceral live shows and attitudinal, libidinous rock. The group's best-known material includes "Had Enough", which earned the group their first gold and platinum singles in Sweden and has racked up more than 13 million Spotify streams; "Gonna Be A Fight Tonight", which WWE used as the official theme song of the 2015 "Royal Rumble"; and "Lovercall", their first of seven singles to crack the U.S. Active Rock Top 40.
DANKO JONES has shared the stage with rock legends such as GUNS N' ROSES, MOTÖRHEAD, OZZY OSBOURNE and THE ROLLING STONES, and the band's namesake frontman contributed guest vocals on VOLBEAT's recent #1 Active Rock hit "Black Rose".

PAPA ROACH Releases Two New Songs, 'Renegade Music' And 'Who Do You Trust?'PAPA ROACH has released two songs from its forthcoming, as-yet-untitled 10th studio album, "Renegade Music" and "Who Do You Trust?", plus the official music video for the first single, "Who Do You Trust?" The tracks see PAPA ROACH continuing to push its momentum with bonafide rock anthems and fearsome hooks.
Frontman Jacoby Shaddix explains: "This song is a statement of engagement — in this day and age, who do you trust? The message of the song is to think for yourself and to trust in yourself, and the imagery of the song matches that. It's the sea of information, all of if slightly out of focus — and you're left floating in trying to decide for yourself. Who do you trust?"
Shaddix told Rock Sound about PAPA ROACH's decision to re-team with producers Nicholas "RAS" Furlong and Colin Brittain, who helmed 2017's "Crooked Teeth" album: "We have a rhythm going with these guys. We were supposed to go on tour with OF MICE & MEN at the beginning of the 'Crooked Teeth' record cycle, and Austin [Carlile, then-OF MICE & MEN singer] had gotten really sick. And so the tour was canceled. So we were, like, 'All right. Well, if we're not gonna be out on the road, let's go create.' So we went in and we created five or six songs then. And then we went back in June and July and took another stab at it, and we have 12 songs that are… There's bangers in there. We're gonna go back and do one more track and see if we can beat one of the songs. And we'll have a full-length record ready to go."
Guitarist Jerry Horton told Morgan Richards Interviews that PAPA ROACH's new material sees him and his bandmates "really trying to explore more dynamics and not just be a wall of guitars all the time."
b>Shaddix described the musical direction of the new PAPA ROACH songs to the Lazer 103.3 radio station as "a pretty bold evolution," saying that the tracks that have been laid down so far are "so inspiring and just unique and different and rocking and anthemic and passionate."
PAPA ROACH set out on a mini tour starting today in Richmond, Virginia, hitting ten cities across North and Latin America, before setting out on a December tour to various military bases in Asia. The band will also join SHINEDOWN and ASKING ALEXANDRIA on the 2019 North American leg of the "Attention! Attention!" world tour. Additional international tour dates will be announced soon. 1

ALL THAT REMAINS: 'Victim Of The New Disease' Release Date, Track Listing RevealedMassachusetts metallers ALL THAT REMAINS will release their new album, "Victim Of The New Disease", on November 9 via Razor & Tie. The cover artwork for the follow-up to last year's "Madness" can be seen below.
"Victim Of The New Disease" track listing:
01. Fuck Love
02. Everything’s Wrong
03. Blood I Spill
04. Wasteland
05. Alone In The Darkness
06. Misery In Me
07. Broken
08. Just Tell Me Something (feat. Danny Worsnop)
09. I Meant What I Said
10. Victim Of The New Disease
ALL THAT REMAINS singer Phil Labonte told Tyler and Mo of Z97.5's "Morning Mayhem" radio show that he and his bandmates were "in teaser mode," which means that "we're putting up little teasers on our Instagram page, and there will be more information coming in the next few weeks. And if people go to the ALL THAT REMAINS Instagram page, you're getting a little taste right now, and you'll continue to get a little taste for a little while. And then there'll be an announcement and people will be able to pre-order and all that stuff. So it's currently going on. We're doing our best to give people information and get them informed and at the same time make sure that they're excited about it and we're hoping that they'll wanna go out and pick it up."
b>Labonte also talked about ALL THAT REMAINS's musical diversity and the band's desire to establish its own identity.
"There's some bands that do one thing, and this isn't a knock on anyone… But, you know, look, LAMB OF GOD is already a band," he said. "We're not gonna be the next SLAYER — there's already a SLAYER, there's already a LAMB OF GOD, there's already all these really heavy bands that really do a great job and nail it, and that's their thing. But for us, we're never gonna be that band. So we really try to just incorporate as much stuff that we enjoy into the music that we write. And some people dislike that, and usually the kids that are into metal are, like, 'Oh, if it's not metal, it sucks.' So we're used to that. But at the same time, we're not trying to be someone else — we're trying to be us. And you'll see a lot of people out there [say], 'Well, they're trying to be this band,' and then you'll hear from someone else, 'They're trying to be this band,' and those two bands don't sound anything alike, and that, to me, is a good thing. When you can't nail down a band that we sound like, or if you say, 'This song sounds like this band,' but then another song on the same record sounds like a completely different band, I think that's kind of a good thing, because it really shows that we're not like other bands, we're not like another band; we're not trying to be someone else. We are ALL THAT REMAINS; we are the band that we are; we're gonna keep doing stuff that we dig. Hopefully people dig it, but we're not trying to be someone that we're not; we're just trying to be us and write songs that we like."
A new ALL THAT REMAINS song titled "Fuck Love" was released last week via the band's official YouTube channel and can be streamed below. The track is expected to appear on ALL THAT REMAINS's upcoming album, which was reportedly produced by THE ACACIA STRAIN guitarist Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz and will arrive in early 2019.
ALL THAT REMAINS has already performed "Fuck Love" and another new song, "Wasteland", at some of the band's recent live shows.
"Madness" was released in April 2017 via Razor & Tie in the U.S. and Eleven Seven Music in Europe. The disc was recorded at West Valley Studios in Woodland Hills, California with producer Howard Benson, who has previously worked with such acts as MOTÖRHEAD, PAPA ROACH, THREE DAYS GRACE, FLYLEAF, P.O.D.mand HALESTORM.

ARION - Official Lyric Video For "Punish You" PostedFinland's Arion will release their new album, Life Is Not Beautiful, on October 19th via AFM Records. They have released an official lyric video for the song "Punish You", which can be viewed below.
Pre-order the album here.
The band recently released a video for the song "At The Break Of Dawn" featuring Amaranthe vocalist Elize Ryd. Check it out below.
"It was an absolute honor, pleasure and a dream come true to write this song for two great singers, one of them being a world renown super star and one of my favorite voices in metal. Elize did one hell of a job singing her part. I could easily say that this song is something to feel proud of for a very long time and represents the very best a collaboration like this can become", Iivo Kaipainen (songwriter) states.
Vocalist Lassi adds: "Amaranthe has been one of my favorite bands for a long time, so it was a huge honor to sing a duet with Elize. Her voice is so unique and makes the song more powerful. Now finally having Elize on the music video makes the song complete."
The idea for symphonic metal band Arion was hatched in the fall of 2011 in the famed music school Sibelius Lukio in Helsinki, where drummer Topias Kupiainen and keyboardist Arttu Vauhkonen got together with guitar whiz kid Iivo Kaipainen. In short order, the threesome found bass player Georgi Velinov and vocalist Viljami Holopainen to round out the band.
Musically astonishingly accomplished, the newcomers raised some serious waves right off the bat in January 2013 when they debuted their debut song “Lost”, a symphonic metal gem in its own right, on television, participating in Finnish television’s UMK song contest.
Soon enough the 17–18 year old teen prodigies’ exceptionally impressive musical chops caught the attention of Mr. Riku Pääkkönen, the owner of Ranka Kustannus and the mastermind behind the overnight success stories of Children Of Bodom, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica and several others. In May 2013 Arion signed a recording deal with Ranka and entered the studio to record their debut EP New Dawn. New Dawn was released in November 2013 the same year to critical acclaim, while the band was already forging one of the most jaw-dropping metal debuts in Finland ever, Last Of Us.
There’s probably no other nation as vigilant for melodic metal music as Japan, where the love for beauty and aesthetics has blanketed all sorts of art for millennia. The Japanese are famous for their appetite for power metal, so, as crazy as it might sound, it shouldn’t even surprise anyone that Arion played their first concerts in Tokyo and Nagoya already before releasing their debut album. Ergo, it’s only fitting that Arion became one of those ultra-rare European artists whose debut album was released in Japan before its domestic release. Grandiose yet heartfelt, Last Of Us still stands as a one of a kind jewel in its genre, an album that hasn’t lost one iota of its splendour since the day of its release in July 2014.
A year later, in August 2015, singer Viljami Holopainen amicably left the band stating that his heart lies in other kind of music, and the band announced their new singer, Lassi Vääränen. In March 2016 Vääränen’s mettle was tested and proven worthy with his recording debut as a member of Arion on the explosive duet “At The Break Of Dawn” with Elize Ryd of Amaranthe fame. To date “At The Break Of Dawn” still is in heavy radio rotation in the nationwide Finnish Radio Rock and stands as the most streamed Arion song across all digital platforms.
After three more powerhouse singles; the thought-provoking "Unforgivable”, the heartrending ballad “Through Your Falling Tears” and the clarion call “No One Stands In My Way”, scattered through the next 2.5 years bring us now to the brink of release of Arion’s sophomore album Life Is Not Beautiful. And as potent the singles quadrilogy is, Life Is Not Beautiful is much more than a hit singles compilation. No, we would venture to claim that songs such as the in-your-face “Punish You” and the bombastic, melodic bullet train of “The Last Sacrifice”, lest we forget the album’s closing statement “Life Is Not Beautiful”, will squish some rivalling songwriters’ self-confidence for years to come.
Crafted every bit as meticulously as its predecessor, Life Is Not Beautiful is Arion’s declaration of independence. On their debut largely guided by their kind colleagues Matias Kupiainen (Stratovarius) and Jani Liimatainen (The Dark Element, Cain’s Offering), Arion now proudly demonstrate the next level in their musical progress and band leader Iivo Kaipainen’s newly found lyrical prowess.
World of metal beware! Arion are not the curiosity of a band of green-horned teenager prodigies anymore. Having faced just the right amount of adversity to gel as a band and improved in leaps and bounds, Arion are not just able - they’re ready and raring to go.

ANNEKE VAN GIERSBERGEN Streaming Live Orchestral Version Of "Your Glorious Light Will Shine - Helsinki"; AudioIn May 2018, Anneke van Giersbergen performed two career-spanning concerts with orchestral arrangements together with Residentie Orkest The Hague. Now those special concerts will be available for all to hear when they are released as Symphonized, an 11-track live album due out on November 16th.
Now she is pleased to launch the first track taken from the live album, you can listen to "Your Glorious Light Will Shine - Helsinki," originally from VUUR’s debut album, below.
Anneke comments: "Instead of releasing a 'best of' collection to celebrate my 25 years on stage, an album with orchestral reinterpretations seemed much more interesting. Two songs of my new progressive metal band VUUR received wonderful orchestral arrangements as well. I was very surprised how much of the intensity and energy of VUUR's heavy music is still present. Performing my music with an orchestra has been such an overwhelming experience. I am really happy both concerts were recorded and there is a chance to relive them with this live album."
Taking in material from across her career, she performs stunning versions of songs by VUUR, The Gentle Storm and The Gathering as well as solo material.
Anneke comments: "Symphonized was recorded last May in Dutch venues 013 (Tilburg) and Paard (The Hague), as I performed alongside the wonderful Residentie Orkest The Hague conducted by Arjan Tien. The orchestra is one of the leading Dutch symphony orchestras and regularly initiates cross-over projects. When artistic director Sven Arne Tepl invited me to create new renditions of songs I have previously recorded, I was immediately enthusiastic. I thought it was the perfect prelude to my 25-year anniversary next year, as I made my stage debut with The Gathering in 1994. The compelling arrangements were written by Marijn van Prooijen and Gijs Kramers. Instead of a band with additional symphonic accompaniment we chose to solely use the instruments of the orchestra and I'm very proud of the result!"
The album will be available as CD Digipak, Gatefold 2LP + CD & as digital audio download, and you can find the full tracklisting below.
Tracklisting:
"Feel Alive"
"Amity" (originally released by The Gathering)
"Your Glorious Light Will Shine - Helsinki" (originally released by VUUR)
"Two Souls" (originally released by Lorrainville)
"When I Am Laid In Earth" (aria by Henry Purcell)
"Travel" (originally released by The Gathering)
"Zo Lief" (unreleased song in Dutch)
"You Will Never Change"
"Freedom" - Rio (originally released by VUUR)
"Forgotten" (originally released by The Gathering)
"Shores Of India" (originally released by The Gentle Storm)

Making Of: Wacken
Making Of: Headbanger’s Symphony
Fans can expect a unique, 2 hour Accept show, shot on August 3rd, 2017 at the legendary W:O:A, where the band played the biggest and most extraordinary show of their career in front of 80.000 live fans at the festival, on top of thousands more fans watching via the live stream! The show was divided into three parts, showing the full creative power of Accept: The first part hosted the premiere of new tracks "Die By The Sword" and "Koolaid", as well as some of their most popular songs, such as "Restless And Wild" and"Pandemic'. The middle part hosted guitarist Wolf Hoffmann accompanied by a symphony orchestra, presenting the best-of from his recent solo album Headbangers Symphony, which includes metal versions of some of the world’s biggest classical compositions (e.g. from Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi,...). And in the last but not least part, fans were able to bang their heads to Accept anthems (also accompanied by the orchestra), such as "Princess Of The Dawn," 'Breaker," "Fast As A Shark" and "Metal Heart," as well as to new songs like "Stalingrad," "Shadow Soldiers" or "Teutonic Terror". The finale could be nothing less than an 8 minute version of their eminent hit "Balls To The Walls"!
"This was a mash-up of intensity and precision," Wolf Hoffmann says about the fusion of Heavy Metal and classical music. "The fans are extremely open-minded," continues Wolf happy, "but I was nervous 'till the last minute before the show anyway. After all it's still a metal festival! But I think that, after many years of Accept combining both worlds, fans have started to really accept this concept."
By the way: What started as a world premiere in Wacken and caused quite a stir worldwide (thanks to the live streams) will be continued in early 2019. This means: Accept are planning to tour across Europe with an orchestra in spring 2019! "I really hope we will be able to fulfill our dream - we are working hard on it!" tells Wolf Hoffmann with eager anticipation. "What I can already say now is that there will be lots of optical and musical surprises, that fans of Accept have never experienced before. We want to multiply what we have achieved in Wacken and are happy about every bit of support we get. One thing is for sure: 2019 will be exciting!" 8

TOM MORELLO - "Every Step That I Take" Official Lyric Video ReleasedIn a new interview with Chicago Tribune, Rage Against The Machine/Prophets Of Rage guitarist Tom Morello discusses his upcoming tribute to former Audioslave bandmate Chris Cornell.
Says Morello: "For the song 'Every Step That I Take' with Portugal. The Man and Whethan, a teenage EDM marvel, we’re partnering with an organization called SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education), focusing on suicide prevention, information and depression awareness. With the passing of Chris over a year ago, and the momentum towards removing the stigma from mental health issues and suicidal thoughts, it was very important to have a song from that point of view.
"I’ve had mental illness issues in my family and among my friends in the past, and there’s a current trend toward this demystification to encourage people, among your friends, loved ones and professionals, there is help and there are ways. You know, you break your arm - it’s not a stigma to go to the hospital to get it set. Hopefully we’re able to start looking at suicidal thoughts and depression in the same way that can materially save lives. 'Every Step That I Take' is about how the dreams, and depression, and love and the lack of it on the emotional steps of the gallows are processed. It was a song written by myself and Matt Shultz from Cage the Elephant and Johnny (Gourley) from Portugal. The Man sings it and it’s just a beautiful song. One of my favorites on the record."
Check out the official lyric video for "Every Step That I Take" below.
Tom Morello will release his new solo album, The Atlas Underground, on October 12th via Mom + Pop Music.
Morello's take on the AC/DC classic, "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", is available for streaming below. The track is set to appear on Appleseed’s 21st Anniversary: Roots And Branches, an upcoming compilation celebrating protest music label Appleseed Recordings, out on October 19th.
In a statement to Rolling Stone announcing the compilation, Appleseed founder-president Jim Musselman detailed his goals for the project and Morello’s cover. “Tom is someone I deeply admire for his music and commitment to social justice. ‘Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap’ is a parody of the original song; Tom wrote it to reflect US foreign policy. It hits at the core of so many things our country is dealing with,” Musselman says. “With the new songs on the first CD of Roots and Branches, I wanted to cover many major issues facing this country: gun control, heroin deaths, the US border, anti-war and violence, the environment, racism and so much more. We as a label have taken stances on so many issues over the 21 years we have been around. We are proud of being on the right side of so many of those issues with our music and our artists.”

BLACK SABBATH Guitarist TONY IOMMI Is 'Still Writing Stuff' For Possible New AlbumDuring an question-and-answer session prior to the August 19 screening of BLACK SABBATH's landmark documentary "The End Of The End" at the U.K.'s Whitley Bay Film Festival, guitarist Tony Iommi was asked by presenter Chris Phipps if he is working on any new music at the moment. "I'm still putting stuff together," Iommi replied (see video below). "I'm still writing stuff; I've put ideas down on tapes. When all this nice, sunny weather goes and it gets grim, I shall start going in the studio and putting it down."
He continued: "My engineer, who I had for everything with me at home, he's just done JUDAS PRIEST's album. Now he's finished that, and we'll hopefully start again and put some ideas down. I don't know what it's gonna be yet — whether it'll be an instrumental album. I've been approached by a lot of people to do something with them."
Iommi recently told The List that he is about to begin remixing SABBATH's 1996 album "Forbidden", which features singer Tony Martin, drummer Cozy Powell and bassist Neil Murray, and is often regarded as the band's worst LP. "That's an album I've never been satisfied with, so I'm about to start pulling that apart and remix it," Iommi said.
SABBATH completed its last major tour in February 2017 with two shows in Birmingham, closing out the quartet's groundbreaking 49-year career.
he trek was the band's last because Iommi, who was diagnosed with cancer in late 2011 and is currently in remission, can no longer travel for extended amounts of time. But he has said he would not rule out special events or one-off shows.
Iommi underwent cancer treatment throughout the recording of BLACK SABBATH's reunion album, titled "13", and the subsequent tour to promote it. He also successfully went under the knife in January 2017 to remove a noncancerous lump from his throat. 22

AVANTASIA's 'Moonglow' Album To Feature Guest Appearances By KREATOR, HELLOWEEN, MAGNUM SingersBob Catley (MAGNUM), Eric Martin (MR. BIG), Geoff Tate (QUEENSRŸCHE), Candice Night (BLACKMORE'S NIGHT), Mille Petrozza (KREATOR), Jorn Lande (MASTERPLAN) and Michael Kiske (HELLOWEEN) are among the vocalists who will guest appearances on "Moonglow", the next album from EDGUY frontman Tobias Sammet's AVANTASIA project. The LP will arrive on February 1, 2019 via Nuclear Blast. A world tour in support of the disc will launch at the end of March in Germany.
Sammet recently said that "Moonglow" would be "the most lavish album of my career, the biggest, most colorful thing and the best and most unreasonable luxury I have ever created in my life." He added that the record would contain "great vocal performances, great songs, epic stuff, fantastic stuff, diverse stuff... world music, power metal, pop... everything."
Regarding Petrozza's contribution to "Moonglow", Sammet said: "He is evil and he kicks ass. He is a great guy, and a legend! And really cool."
According to Tobias, Candice delivered "a killer performance" in the studio — "very soulful, a lot of feeling, enchanting... Amazing voice show has!"
b>Sammet has called Martin "one of the funniest and most soulful singers I have ever shared the stage with."
Tate previously guested on AVANTASIA's seventh album, "Ghostlights", which was released in 2016. He was also one of the guest vocalists for AVANTASIA at several European shows in the summer of 2017, including Rock Fest Barcelona, where his former band, QUEENSRŸCHE, also appeared on the bill. 8

Revamped KINGDOM COME Performs At Whisky A Go Go During 30th-Anniversary Tour (Video)A revamped version of KINGDOM COME — comprised of guitarists Danny Stag and Rick Steier, bassist Johnny B. Frank, drummer James Kottak, along with singer Keith St. John (formerly of MONTROSE and LYNCH MOB) — is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of the band's self-titled debut album by embarking on a U.S. tour. Original singer Lenny Wolf declined to participate in the trek, which kicked off on September 27 at Club Sur Rocks in Seattle, Washington.
Fan-filmed video footage of KINGDOM COME's October 3 concert at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California can be seen below.
Kottak, who played on KINGDOM COME's first two albums, 1988's "Kingdom Come" and 1989's "In Your Face" before leaving, spoke to "Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon" about his decision to resurrect the group. "I've been itching at this," he said. "We tried to launch it back in 2012-13; it just didn't happen because my duties with SCORPIONS took over. And here we are now. We've got the original four — me, myself, Danny Stag on guitar; Johnny B. Frank on bass; Rick Steier on guitar — and then introducing Keith St. John, the vocalist who sang for MONTROSE, LYNCH MOB, etc. And I'm so excited. It's gonna be so awesome."
Regarding Lenny's decision to sit out the tour, James said: "Lenny is just kind of Lenny. To know him is to love him, and I love him and respect his wishes. We've gone back and forth over the last five, six years about this KINGDOM COME reboot, but recently, back in November [or] December, I approached him and I gave him everything on a silver platter, but he said, 'You know what? I just don't wanna do it.' He's just kind of done. He wants to retire. He's got his life. He's up in Hamburg, Germany, and he just doesn't wanna deal with it. And I can understand that and I respect that.
I had this desire to do this for so long, and he knew that — he knew this going into it, that I wanted to do it, and I'm not gonna let anything stop me," he continued. "So I'm taking it out — KINGDOM COME; it's my name — 'cause it was my band too. So we're out there, and Lenny gave us [his] blessing. I really wish he was onboard, [but] he's just not, and it is what it is. And you do what you have to do, and that's it. It's rock and roll, man."
Asked if the new KINGDOM COME will perform only cuts from the self-titled debut or if it will include other material in its set, Kottak said: "We're gonna play the entire first album, but also we're gonna include songs from the second album, and then also what we thought we would do is add in some MONTROSE, because me and Keith were both with MONTROSE. We're gonna add in some… a little bit of this, and maybe a WARRANT song, and maybe this song and that song, and a little bit of everything to keep it interesting. I mean, we're gonna play some LED ZEPPELIN. Are you kidding? GRETA VAN FLEET is killing it. And we wanna include everything, because we don't wanna be a one-dimensional band, like, 'Oh, it's KINGDOM COME, KINGDOM COME. We're playing the first album.' We wanna include everything, we wanna involve everybody and we wanna make it interesting, because, face it or not, people's attention spans have gotten very short. And we want to entertain everyone — in an hour and 15 minutes, we want to provide you with 24, 28 songs. Maybe it's not the complete songs, but you know what you're gonna get? You're gonna get a rock and roll extravaganza, [and] you're gonna get entertainment."
Kottak, who joined the SCORPIONS in 1996 and played with the band for 20 years, went on to say that he hopes KINGDOM COME can continue well beyond the U.S. tour. "For me, this is something I wanted to reboot years ago, but SCORPIONS didn't end," he said, referring to the German group's aborted farewell tour. "What I would like to see happen is we do this to reboot it and we get it up and running at the end of September through October, and then we keep going and going. And I would like to tour on it and I would create some new music, or some new singles — something. But I want it to continue on, because I love rock and roll, and I love KINGDOM COME. And maybe Lenny will contribute some music towards it… I just want things to go forward — I want things to be big. Because if the music isn't there, I'm not there, man."
He continued: "I've been offered so many situations, to play with this one and that one and whatever, and do this and that, whatever, and, honestly, I just don't wanna do it. I wanna do what I wanna do. I've worked my ass off for 35 years, and I wanna do what I wanna do. I wanna be creative and I wanna be involved in what I wanna do. And that's selfish, but…
"I love rock and roll and I like good rock and roll, and KINGDOM COME, to me, is the best of the best. So let's see what happens, man."
Keith St. John also made an appearance on "Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon" to address his involvement with the revamped KINGDOM COME. The singer, who has known Kottak for more than two decades, said that he decided to front the project after careful consideration over a year-long period.
"As a vocalist, when you're gonna go out and either sub in or become the new guy in a band that's been seen and is kind of iconic and especially that had a lot of video exposure, it's a big decision for me, as a singer, because the vocalist is hard to miss, and especially for the fans — it's hard to miss that there's a different vocalist when people come out to see a band," he explained. "So I'm really careful about picking and choosing what I'll do. And suffice it to say, living in L.A. and being a guy that most of the, let's say, '80s, hair-band kind of genre knows about, I get called to do this kind of thing. And for me, my basic philosophy, as I've been getting middle-aged, or whatever you wanna call it — a little older — has been, if I can't be me and just do my thing and have it just fit in with the style of the band, then I really have to pass these days.
"The KINGDOM COME thing came about out of the blue, when James and I were talking, probably close to a year ago," he continued. "And I listened to the material and I thought about it, and I was, like, 'Man, this stuff really could be done in a way… I mean, I can sing this my way and it'll still sound authentic, like it's supposed to sound, and I can have a lot of fun with this stuff.' And as also part of my due diligence, I said to myself, 'Well, you guys [have] really gotta make sure that you wanna do this, because, by and large, for me' — I always tell this to bands, and I'm sure everybody else feels the same way — 'if the original guys are alive and you can get together, get together, man. Do it. Because there's only so much time.' But, for whatever reason, this is something that probably has to remain the way it is, as far as Lenny doing his own thing and the band doing its own thing. And that's cool — they spent a lot of time working it out. So I waited until they did their diligence and they were really sure. A bunch of months went by — like a half a year — and we said, 'Are you sure? Are you sure? Okay.' And we said, 'Okay, let's go for it, man. [We've] got a month or more worth of dates in the fall. Let's try it out. Let's start it there, see how it goes.' And we're either gonna have a really big super-win or we're gonna have a whole bunch of angry fans going, 'Thumbs down.' [Laughs]"
This past June, Wolf issued a statement via his official web site in which he said that "the KINGDOM COME ship has reached its final destination, at least during my visit on our planet earth." He added that his decision was "mainly caused by experiences I made throughout the last three years, during which the fun factor disappeared more and more, and our energy and hopes have repeatedly been crushed by people and circumstances beyond our control. Some folks out there may not believe it, but it's NOT all about money," he said. "I realized that chasing something which seems is not meant to be, trying to force things, would never lead to something good. Therefore it's time to let go.
"It's been a fantastic 30-year-long musical ride, for which I can only be VERY grateful," the singer added. "Having gone through good and bad times, in the end it was an exceptional way to explore our planet, having met countless wonderful people around the globe and building up memories that can not be taken away from me, or you.
"I'm not saying that I will never write a song again, or never again enter a stage, but the chapter called 'KINGDOM COME' is now closed. One day I may revisit the music scene with a new band called 'IRON BANANA', but until then, it is what it is.
"I hope the KINGDOM COME songs have given many of you energy, joy and strength, as they did for me," Lenny said. "The KINGDOM COME songs will live on, long after we all have turned to dust, and will hopefully do the same for many generations to come, unless of course, we have blown up our planet before then."
After its early run of success in the '80s, KINGDOM COME released several albums, with Wolf remaining the only constant member of the band. The group's most recent effort was 2013's "Outlier". 6

The group's new album, "Gun To Mouth Salvation", will be released on January 25, 2019. It is CARNAL FORGE's first LP since 2007's "Testify For My Victims".
Founder Jari Kuusisto says: "I quit CARNAL FORGE after the last full-length album, 'Testify For My Victims', because I was just fed up with the music industry and everything about being in the band. It took some years, but I felt I was kind of missing CARNAL FORGE, so I talked to my brother Petri and I called up Lars in 2013 and said. 'Hey, let's fuckin' do it!' He had been waiting since the hibernation in 2010, so it was a 'go' right on the spot. We made this mini-CD to wake up the corpse and we did some shows but then we decided to not do any more shows until we had a new album and new fresh songs to play. It's a long boring story why it took so long time, but finally here we are now, ready to kick som serious ass again! And with us we also have Lawrence Dinamarca (NIGHTRAGE, LOCH VOSTOK) and new vocalist Tommie Wahlberg."
Formed in 1997 in Sala, Sweden, CARNAL FORGE has released seven full-length albums and one live DVD and has toured in Europe, USA and Japan with band like TESTAMENT, EXODUS, HALFORD, NILE, AMON AMARTH, THE HAUNTED, IMMORTAL, PRIMAL FEAR and PRO-PAIN.

METAL CHURCH To Release 'Damned If You Do' Album In DecemberWest Coast metal veterans METAL CHURCH will release their 12th full-length studio album, "Damned If You Do", on December 7 via Rat Pak Records. The effort will also be available in Europe via Nuclear Blast and Japan via King Records. The latest release is the follow-up to 2016's "XI", which saw the return of legendary frontman Mike Howe.
"Damned If You Do" is described in a press release as "a cross between the band’s iconic 'Blessing In Disguise' and 'The Human Factor'. This new offering features ten fully charged, classic-metal-influenced songs that showcase the sound that has garnered the band a solid fanbase for over three decades," the press release adds.
Guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof comments: "I feel this album is a very powerful statement to what METAL CHURCH has always been about. A tough and aggressive old-school metal album while maintaining a level of musicality and melodic sensibilities."
"Damned If You Do" also features Stet Howland (ex-W.A.S.P., LITA FORD), who joined METAL CHURCH as the replacement for longtime drummer Jeff Plate. Soon after hooking up with the group, Stet was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Miraculously, his treatments for the aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma worked and he was able to begin recording the new album.
peaking of the new album, Stet said: "From the minute we started tracking this new CD, I had the feeling that it was going to be something special. I knew that I was going to do my best to deliver a top drum performance, not only because of the high standard set by past METAL CHURCH drummers, but also because this is my first CD release after being sick. I'm beyond happy with all aspects of this CD — great songs, great performances, great production; just an overall great CD! I love it!"
"Damned If You Do" is something truly unique and special. The songs are powerful, precise, and METAL CHURCH's musical vision is unified. From the haunting opener "Damned If You Do" to the final hard-edged track "The War Electric", this new album is sure to resonate with fans from the band's early years while garnering new ones. Songs like "By The Numbers", "Guillotine" and "The Black Things" are sure to become instant favorites!
Howe comments: "I'm very excited about the new release. It all came together way better than I even imagined. It's a great feeling to work really hard on a musical project pouring your heart into it and hoping it comes out as something you can be proud of in the end. I have been listening to it every day and loving it! I hope our fans do as well!"
"Damned If You Do" is available in various formats and bundle configurations, including a limited blue, black and white vinyl pressing with an alternate track sequence also an Ultimate Fan Bundle that includes a personal "thank you" phone call from Howe.

Listen To New GRETA VAN FLEET Song 'Anthem'"Anthem", a brand new song from Michigan rockers GRETA VAN FLEET — Jake Kiszka (guitar), Sam Kiszka (bass, keyboards), Josh Kiszka (vocals) and Danny Wagner (drums) — can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's debut album, "Anthem Of The Peaceful Army", which will be released on October 19 via Lava/Republic Records.
Collectively written by all four band members, the ten original songs explore a variety of topics that include fresh starts, love, integrity, innocence, adventure, diversity and peace, the life cycle and its inherent responsibilities, courage, masked deceptions, revolution, and truth. Blending rock, soul and blues, Jake's blazing guitar riffs, Josh's soaring, powerful vocals, Danny's thunderous drums, and Sam's swaggering baselines and keys create a menagerie of musical elements throughout.
"Anthem Of The Peaceful Army" was produced by Marlon Young, Al Sutton and Herschel Boone (The Rust Brothers) and recorded earlier this year at Blackbird Studios in Nashville and Rustbelt Studios in Royal Oak, Michigan.
The first single from "Anthem Of The Peaceful Army", "When The Curtain Falls", arrived at rock radio on August 15 and the song's companion music video has surpassed 3.9 million views.
usic fans were first introduced to GRETA VAN FLEET in March 2017 with the release of the band's debut single "Highway Tune" that held the No. 1 position on U.S. rock radio chart for five consecutive weeks and on Canada's active rock radio chart for nine straight weeks. For GRETA VAN FLEET, 2017 went on to be a wild ride of sold-out concerts in North America and Europe, glowing press, accolades from a slew of fellow artists from Elton John to Nikki Sixx to Justin Bieber, millions of YouTube video plays and Spotify streams, two No. 1 EPs, and most importantly, the genesis of an extraordinary connection with their fans.
"Anthem Of The Peaceful Army" track listing:
01. Age Of Man
02. The Cold Wind
03. When The Curtain Falls
04. Watching Over
05. Lover, Leaver
06. You're The One
07. The New Day
08. Mountain Of The Sun
09. Brave New World
10. Anthem
Asked how the making of the new disc was different to the way GRETA VAN FLEET recorded its first two EPs, "Black Smoke Rising" and "From The Fires", Jake told the DOMKcast: "It has some commonalities, but as far as [how] those two things differ, we had the ability to sit down with all the material that have written and go, 'Okay, now we have the ability to put something together that is a complete thought.' Whereas EPs are just kind of concepts — just short pieces — where now we have something that is one full complete thought.
"Because we'd stopped touring — we had pretty much been rigorously touring for the last maybe year and a half — we had these two weeks where all of this material started to kind of come to us," he continued. "I'd say about 50 percent of the album was material that was spontaneously written within the actual recording process of the album. So we started tracking a bunch of things that we've been writing while recording, and we'd just throw it down at the end of the night and have [basic] tracks to work from.
"In the similar light to 'Black Smoke Rising' and 'From The Fires', there was a collection of material that spanned probably about three years ago and material that was written right on the spot. And as we went along, [we would go], 'Okay, this song kind of fits here, and that leads to this,' and that helped us navigate what we wanted to put on the album."

EVANESCENCE: 'Hi-Lo' Performance Clip from 'Synthesis Live' DVDOn October 12, Eagle Vision will release EVANESCENCE's "Synthesis Live" on DVD+CD, Blu-ray+CD and digital formats.
Recorded late last autumn during the band's critically acclaimed "Synthesis" tour, the concert was captured in state-of-the-art 4K by director P.R. Brown and produced by Craig Ziogas of CTGS Productions.
A performance clip of the song "Hi-Lo", taken from "Synthesis Live", can be seen below.
The songs span EVANESCENCE's 20-year history to now, reinvented with full orchestra over a deep electronic landscape. "Synthesis" is a soulful and sweepingly grandiose event to witness live. Seated at the piano, Amy Lee opens the set with a single note that builds into the instrumental "Overture", seamlessly leading into the crushing wave that is "Never Go Back". "Bring Me To Life", the anthem that brought most people to discover EVANESCENCE in the first place, reaches a new level of power and emotion with a pounding, electric heartbeat and soaring orchestral accompaniment, while songs like "My Immortal", "Lithium" and "Lost In Paradise" feel like heartbreaking scenes from a beautiful, timeless film.
b>Amy Lee's incredible vocal range and the group's expressive, multi-layered music naturally lends itself to orchestral accompaniment, shining a light on the singular beauty of the arrangements by composer David Campbell and conducted by Susie Seiter — creating a truly dynamic, cinematic sound. Lee has called this "a passion project," which undoubtedly shines through. The sense of occasion is not lost on the band or audience alike in this unique and highly emotive show.
EVANESCENCE recently brought its "Synthesis" live tour around the world, delivering highly-acclaimed performances throughout Europe, North America and Australia. This summer, the band teamed with violinist Lindsey Stirling on a tour of North American amphitheatres, one of Live Nation's Top 10 tours of the summer.

GWAR: 'Viking Death Machine' Video"Viking Death Machine", the new video from GWAR, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "The Blood of Gods", which was released in October 2017 via Metal Blade. The disc was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Ronan Chris "Lord God" Murphy and was made available in standard CD, 2LP colored vinyl and digital formats.
"The Blood of Gods" is nothing less than a sacred text chronicling the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that is uptight and wrong with the world. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of their great mistake, from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry.
Of the "Viking Death Machine" video, Blothar has the following to say: "Humans, are you ready to ride the 'Viking Death Machine'? Our latest video is a faithful animated schlockumentary depicting my harrowing, blood-drenched defeat of the Load Warriors and the other denizens of Saturday morning raceway hijinks, including all of my fellow bandmates in GWAR. I am delighted to take my rightful place as the King of Cartoon Violence, and champion of the first annual Suck-It-Up-Butter Cup! Watch the video now! It'll make you shit."
GWAR and HATEBREED will join forces for the "Gore, Core, Metal And More" co-headlining tour this fall. Support will come from MISS MAY I, RINGWORM and AMERICAN SHARKS. These shows begin October 17 in Buffalo, New York and run through October 28 in Peoria, Iowa.
n October 29, GWAR will then kick off a headline run, that sees them stopping in New York City on Halloween and continuing their aural (not oral) devastation of the nation through November 10. 4

JOHNNY GIOELI - The Voice Of HARDLINE, AXEL RUDI PELL To Release First Solo Album In DecemberJohnny Gioeli - the voice of Hardline, Crush 40, and Axel Rudi Pell - will release his very first solo effort, entitled One Voice, via Frontiers Music Srl on December 7th. The title One Voice is a tribute to the fans who have supported Gioeli's career for decades. Musically, of the album, Johnny says, "I love guitar driven rock. I love songs that have a direct impact, gets you thinking and puts you in a positive frame of mind."
The first single "Drive", is available today below:
When asked why he decided to do a solo album at this point in his career, Gioeli says, "[c]reating music is my life. Starting with a pin needle of an idea and cultivating that idea into a song that has an effect on someone has always fulfilled me musically. When a young man in my hometown had a life changing accident leaving him paralyzed, I knew I wanted to do something special. I wanted to make this solo album to help him with some of the enormous costs associated with rehabilitation. I also knew that those who love the music I make are fans for life and I knew they would help too. It's a testament to the beautiful hearts that circle this globe. I woke one morning with the title 'One Voice' in my head knowing that I need air from others to sing. I am so proud of this uplifting album. It's been said that it is the 'feel good album of the 21st century'. I'm grateful for those words."
The aforementioned 'young man' is Joe Barber. A large portion of the money raised for this album through a Pledge campaign is going directly to Joe and his family to help him and his family with needs his recovery and the associated medical costs.
"'One Voice' is the sum of my efforts to bring a world together for the love of music,” muses Gioeli. "If you can imagine fans from all parts of the world.... the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Scandinavia, Australia etc....all of them coming together to donate money to a kid they don't even know...it's a testament to the song 'One Voice'. We are 'One Voice' together, we are love and hope forever, we are one world that matters, so let's all just help each other."
Of the team that helped him craft this album in the studio, Johnny says, "I have an extremely talented group of musicians performing with me on One Voice. Eric Gadrix on guitar, who wrote the musical compositions, Marco di Salvia on drums, Nik Mazzucconion bass, and my Hardline bandmate Alessandro del Vecchio on keys, who is also my trusted producer, engineer and lil' brother. A powerhouse band I will take on the road. Making this record was a labor of love, for sure. I spent countless days and nights in my studio thinking, singing, recording and making sure I loved it before you, the fans, got a chance to love it. I wanted to paint a picture I hope everyone wants to hang on their wall. One Voice is that painting."

Is A NIRVANA Reunion In The Works At 'Cal Jam' This Weekend?According to The Pulse of Radio, FOO FIGHTERS' official Twitter account posted two cryptic tweets regarding this upcoming weekend's Cal Jam festival, which is set to take place in San Bernardino, California. First, in a tweet announcing a screening of Joan Jett's new documentary, FOO FIGHTERS responded by tweeting: "CAN'T WAIT!!!! What else could we have up our sleeves???" Stay tuned…"
Hours later, FOO FIGHTERS shared footage from NIRVANA's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame afterparty set, which took place following the band's induction in 2014. That tweet included the caption, "This is a Jam @caljamfest #CalJam18," and it was retweeted by NIRVANA's verified Twitter account.
What could it mean? Well, all three surviving NIRVANA members will be present at Cal Jam. Dave Grohl and Pat Smear play together in FOO FIGHTERS, while Krist Novoselic is scheduled to appear with his current band, GIANTS IN THE TREES.
Also at the festival are two of the vocalists from that afterparty show: Jett and John McAuley of the band DEER TICK. McAuley is also featured in footage tweeted by both bands' accounts, which shows "Serve The Servants" played backwards.
ould the surviving members of NIRVANA be planning to recreate that 2014 performance at Cal Jam this weekend? 5

SUIDAKRA Release Lyric Video For New Song "Snakehenge"Suidakra's new album, Cimbric Yarns, will be released on November 16th through AFM Records. The album will be available as Digipak and clear orange, gatefold Vinyl (ltd. to 300 units). Check out a lyric video for the song "Snakehenge" below.
Instead of their characteristic bombastic melodic death metal, the musicians impress with an acoustic, ambient masterpiece that takes the audience into a mystical land far before time.
Based on a fantasy world which was created during the artwork/soundtrack collaboration between the painter Kris Verwimp and Antonik on Realms Of Odoric, the Belgian artist explains: "Continuing the Realms Of Odoric saga, Cimbric Yarns harks back to where it all began. Thousands of years before Odoric’s time, there existed an advanced civilisation that perished in a great cosmic cataclysm. Cimbric Yarns is an attempt at recreating its mythology, inspired by ancient Celtic texts and megalithic sites from all over the world. It weaves a fine thread between history and fantasy, chronicling the fate of its main characters Cruàc, Arma and Aenea in 10 compelling acoustic songs."
Tracklist:
"Echtra"
"Serpentine Origins"
"Ode To Arma"
"A Day And Forever"
"Black Dawn"
"At Nine Light Night"
"Snakehenge"
