Progressive black/death metal collective Cormorant are readying to release their fourth LP Diaspora this August. The new track “Preserved In Ash” is available for streaming below.

Recorded and mixed by Greg Wilkinson (Vastum, Graves At Sea, Noothgrush, Brainoil) at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, California in late 2016, Diaspora serves as the follow-up to 2014's critically-lauded Earth Diver full-length and sees Cormorant take their unique style of progressive metal in an expansive, and adventurous direction. With four songs that total 61 minutes, the album features the band's longest, most detail-oriented compositions to date -- the collective result of two years of collaborative writing. Musically, Diaspora features familiar elements of black, death, prog, and folk metal, but pronounced psychedelic and funeral doom influences can be heard throughout as well, particularly on the twenty-six-minute closing epic, "Migration".

Diaspora also features dynamic performances from renowned cellist Jackie Perez Gratz (Grayceon, Giant Squid, ex-Amber Asylum) while Utah-based visionary artist Jeff Christensen created the album's vivid, four-panel artwork. Mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, YOB, Gatecreeper) at Audiosiege, the album is a crushing statement from one of the Bay Area's most consistent extreme metal bands.

Diaspora will be available on 2LP, CD, and digital formats on August 11th with US and European distribution through War Crime Recordings. Pre-orders are currently available at this location.

Germany’s Bloody Times started as Simon Pfundstein’s solo project, and now have evolved into a high-class heavy metal act which is set to release Destructive Singles, a two-track record, on July 21st.

Entombed’s legendary debut, Left Hand Path, along with Carcass’ classic third album, Necroticism - Descanting The Insalubrious, have been reissued on Full Dynamic Range vinyl and are available to purchase once again.

Former TESTAMENT bassist Greg Christian has joined TRAUMA, best known as the band that Cliff Burton played with prior to hooking up with METALLICA.

The GRAHAM BONNET BAND has announced the addion of Joey Tafolla as the group's new guitarist. Effective immediately, Joey will be joining the band for all upcoming tour dates and the recording of a new GRAHAM BONNET BAND album, the follow-up to last year's acclaimed "The Book" release. Graham comments: "It's great to have Joey with us. He brings us even closer to the classic sound of my past records in the live setting and he will be a great asset as we move into the new recordings which will certainly follow the path of what we began with 'The Book'."

Joey adds: "I have always loved Graham's voice and his music. His sense of melody and harmonic awareness is just amazing. He creates sophisticated harmonies as easy as I can eat a bowl of cereal. Being able to work with someone on this level is extremely gratifying."

Tafolla began his career as a member of the '80s power metal band JAG PANZER. After achieving cult status for the band's first full length LP, he recorded solo instrumental CDs with legendary label Shrapnel Records, a label responsible for breaking such talent as Paul Gilbert, Tony MacAlpine, Yngwie Malmsteen and Richie Kotzen, to name just a few.

Corey Taylor says that everybody blamed him for Jim Root's exit from STONE SOUR, which made it more "difficult" for the two of them to tour together as members of SLIPKNOT.

STONE SOUR in 2015 named Martucci as the permanent replacement for Root, who was dismissed from the band in late 2013 after he decided to sit out the group's last tour in order to begin working on the new SLIPKNOT album. Martucci was recruited to play on that tour and was confirmed as a permanent member in March 2015 in a Facebook post.

In a new interview with Metal Hammer magazine, Taylor reflected on the lineup change but was reluctant to reveal many of the details behind Root's split. He said: "It was a difficult time for me, largely because everybody blamed me. Obviously, being on the road with Jim in SLIPKNOT was tight sometimes, but I feel like we were able to put a lot of that aside because I think in a way he realized that he wasn't happy — maybe not just with STONE SOUR but in general. I feel like that's helped him, which is one of the reasons why I don't want to talk about it, out of respect for him and who he is and what he was to this band. I feel like he's on his own journey that he needs to figure out, and I don't want to be the one to talk about it. It's not fair for him and it's not fair for me."

Root did not speak kindly of STONE SOUR in interviews after he was fired, saying, "Some of the guys in STONE SOUR, I think they just want to be a radio band and write strictly for radio and try to be more of a poppy rock band. And that's not really what I'm into. There's at least one guy in the band that's only concerned about money. I really have no desire to associate with people like that anymore."

Root played on all five STONE SOUR studio records to date, including 2010's "Audio Secrecy" and the band's last collection of original music, "House Of Gold And Bones", a double concept album which was released in two parts in 2012 and 2013.

STONE SOUR's new album, "Hydrograd", will be released on June 30 via Roadrunner Records. The disc was recorded at Sphere Studios in North Hollywood, California with producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with ANTHRAX and STEEL PANTHER.

The band tracked the album live in the studio, cutting a total of 18 songs from which 15 will make the CD.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut album, multinational melodic metal band, Eden's Curse, will release Revisited - a two disc set featuring the debut album re-recorded in it's entirety and a bonus DVD, Live In Glasgow - The Official Bootleg, on August 25th worldwide via AFM Records.

Bassist Paul Logue explains: "The first album really was the foundation for all that was to follow and ever since Nikola joined the band we have been inundated with fan requests to re-record the older material and whilst it would be great fun, it would also be the same amount of work as recording a brand new album. In actual fact, that is one of the main reasons we recorded the live album, Live With The Curse, so the fans could hear Nikola's voice on the older songs. However, it did not stop the flow of requests - in fact it made it worse! So, with this pivotal tenth anniversary coming up, we thought it would be a good idea to do it and AFM agreed. It's turned out really great and given the older songs that little bit of freshness. It's not to out-do what went before but to pay homage to a very important record in our career.”

The debut re-recordings were mixed by Pete Newdeck (Eden's Curse, Tainted Nation, Grim Reaper) and Mastered by Harry Hess (Harem Scarem).

Coupled with the re-recorded debut album is the Live In Glasgow - Official Bootleg DVD which is the Live With The Curse live album recording show in it's entirety. Filmed at The Classic Grand in Glasgow on November 28th, 2014, the release mark's the band first official live DVD release, albeit in a bootleg form.

"The footage is absolutely excellent,” states bassist Logue. "We did not intend to film a DVD, but the audio recording company brought two cameras along to capture the show and when we saw the results we were really surprised! We put out four videos on You Tube to promote the live album and the fans kept asking to see the full show on DVD. So, here it is! We've called it a 'bootleg' because it wasn't recorded on 6 cameras, e.g one above the drummer and one on the keyboard player - like we would do for a proper DVD release. However, beyond that is looks and sounds great! We WILL do a DVD in the future but in the meantime this give our fans across the world something to enjoy time and time again and it makes 'Revisited' a very special package indeed,” he adds.

Revisited is the ultimate package for Eden's Curse fans old and new and a fantastic introduction to the band's music. Brazilian bashers Shadowside will release their new album, Shades Of Humanity, in Japan on July 26th via Spiritual Beast, in North America/Europe on July 28th via EMP Label Group (owned by Megadeth's bassist Dave Ellefson), and in Brazil on September 4th via Furia Music Records.

Shades Of Humanity explores deep subjects such as depression, abortion, the Mariana Dam disaster in Brazil and mankind`s moral values, branching out in musical ways nobody expected while still keeping their heavy guitar riffs and catchy melodies. The album was produced and mixed by Fredrik Nordström (Arch Enemy, Hammerfall, Evergrey, In Flames, Dream Evil) and Henrik Udd (Architects, Dimmu Borgir, Dream Evil, Arch Enemy) in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Rod Stewart, King Kobra) and Rocker Records have announced their partnership with Chains Over Razors.  

Chains Over Razors is an intense rock and metal power trio comprised of singer Franco V. Roc, guitarist Mike Vapor, and drummer Andy Vapor.  

The three started out together as part of the the group Beneathme in 2007. They reformed in 2014 as an intense three-piece focused on edge and melody-driven music, pushing new ideas and concepts in the genre that many would consider against the rules. About the name drummer Andy Vapor says, “We were watching a show about taboo culture, and the art of scarring and people hanging from chains and laying on a bed of razors or nails. This kinda led to an 'aha' moment. We thought that should be the new group name, Chains Over Razors. We always think of it as being imprisoned in a cold dark room with hanging chains over a floor with razors. It’s a complete separation from reality.” 

The hard hitting name goes hand in hand with the hard-hitting music on the trio’s debut album produced by rock legend Carmine Appice. The first single and video “Damnation”, which as guitarist Mike Vapor puts it, is a “powerful heavy groove with a dark story.” Other standout tracks include "Devil's Eyes" ("The riff gives me the impression that your face is going to get torn off. It’s intense." - Mike), "Center Line Of A Lie" ("The rhythm for the drums has an interesting double bass pattern that sounds like it is dancing in and out of the guitars. It’s pretty interesting." - Andy), and "2020" ("This song questions our existence and purpose." - Andy).

Although Mike and Andy live in Chicago, IL and Franco is based in Montreal, QC, the band comes together to write and perform. Look for the band on the road this summer and fall.

MEGADETH has spent more than a year on the road promoting "Dystopia", which arrived in January 2016. The group is currently touring with MESHUGGAH, TESSERACT and LILLAKE.

MEGADETH was honored with in the "Best Metal Performance" category in the pre-telecast ceremony at the 59th annual Grammy Awards, which was held on February 12 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. MEGADETH was nominated for "Dystopia", the title track of its 2016 album.

In a 2016 interview, MEGADETH leader Dave Mustaine stated about the band's latest additions, Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro, best known for his work with ANGRA, and former SOILWORK drummer Dirk Verbeuren: "Well, these guys are some of the best at what they do in the business, so it's really made me re-evaluate my playing. And usually I would not warm up before I would go out and play, because I know what I'm doing, and it's kind of like… I'm just a natural at it; for whatever reason, God blessed me with this gift. And seeing them now, they're just so fierce, it makes me wanna be the best I can be at what I do. Even if I am self-taught, even if it is something that I just was born with, I wanna be the best I can at it."

Former MÖTLEY CRÜE singer John Corabi has confirmed that he will release a live album and DVD of his performance of the band's entire 1994 self-titled album, recorded in 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Corabi originally joined CRÜE in 1992 as the replacement for the group's original singer, Vince Neil, who was fired due to personal differences. With Corabi on vocals, MÖTLEY CRÜE released one critically acclaimed full-length CD, which ended up being a commercial failure in the wake of grunge despite a Top-Ten placing on the album chart. When Neil returned to the fold in 1997, Corabi was left on his own and formed the band UNION with ex-KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick.

Speaking ot EonMusic, Corabi said about the album he made with the CRÜE: "Honestly, it's actually gained quite a bit of momentum than when it first came out. I have fans come up to me all the time and they're, like, I never got to see that.' So it's coming; it's called ''94 Live – One Night In Nashville', and it will definitely be out in September/October."

Corabi in 2016 said that he would avoid talking about MÖTLEY CRÜE in the future because he didn't want his comments about bassist Nikki Sixx to descend into a feud.

In an interview with Sweden Rock Magazine, Sixx said that writing the "Mötley Crüe" LP with Corabi was a prolonged and difficult experience. He went to call it "a very unfocused record" that was "painful for me, because John Corabi can't write lyrics, and I had to do all that work."

Corabi initially responded to Sixx's comments by saying that he didn't "give a shit" about what his ex-bandmate had to say, but later told an interviewer, when asked about it again, "I have no idea why Nikki feels that I'm the biggest piece of shit to roam the Earth." He then proceeded to take to his Facebook page to claim that he would "officially have nothing to say about any member of MÖTLEY CRÜE ever again," adding that he was "not backing this bullshit stirring that is happening to start a feud."

Corabi in 2015 contributed lead vocals to two songs from MÖTLEY CRÜE guitarist Mick Mars, apparently called "Gimme Blood" and "Shake The Cage", which were recorded at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee. The tracks have yet to be released, although snippets of both cuts have surfaced online.

Michael Schenker is one of the most significant rock guitarists in the history of music. He has mesmerized the rock community since the '70s with his characteristic guitar play and contributed not only to SCORPIONS classics such as "Lovedrive", "Coast To Coast" and "Holiday", but also constructed himself a monument during his time in UFO by writing hits like "Doctor Doctor" and "Rock Bottom", among others. His playing has influenced several generations of guitar players enormously.

Back in 1979, the "German Wunderkind" decided to be his own boss. He founded the MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, a.k.a. M.S.G., and released the masterpieces "Assault Attack" and "Built To Destroy", the live legacy "One Night At Budokan" as well as the MCAULEY SCHENKER GROUP pearls "Perfect Timing" and "Save Yourself". Around that time, outstanding musicians such as Billy Sheehan (MR. BIG), Don Airey (DEEP PURPLE), Cozy Powell (ex-GARY MOORE), Chris Slade (AC/DC), Pete Way (UFO) and Neil Murray (ex-WHITESNAKE) were all invited by Schenker to play with him. M.S.G. also became home of great vocalists, most notably Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet and Robin McAuley. Those guys were also a part of the comprehensive MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST, whose celebrated Tokyo show was released as live CD, DVD and Blu-ray this March recently passed.

Now the time has come for Michael Schenker to move another step forward: He fulfills the long-awaited dream of all hard rock fans by entering the studio as MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST. The band has just started the recording process for a brand-new studio album with producer Michael Voss. Its release is set for spring 2018 through Nuclear Blast, the band's new record label.

Comments Schenker: "I am very happy to have signed with Nuclear Blast Records and I am looking forward to releasing a killer MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST studio album in the spring of 2018. The album will feature three original M.S.G. singers — Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet and Robin McAuley — plus Doogie White (MICHAEL SCHENKER'S TEMPLE OF ROCK). Keep on rockin'!"

With this latest signing, a long-desired dream came true for the South Germany-based label. Owner Markus Staiger grew up with Michael Schenker's music and is also one of his greatest admirers. "I'm proud to be able to work with the ultimate guitar god, Michael Schenker," Markus says. "He has always been my idol and he's the reason why I started to play the guitar when I was 13 years old. But I was ungifted in that area, so I had to stop and decided to found a record label instead. It's a great day and I feel happy just like back in the day when I was listening to 'Lovedrive' and MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP for the very first time, and went nuts! Thanks!"

Gene Simmons has co-written two songs for Ace Frehley's next solo album, the KISS bassist/vocalist has revealed.

The news of the two former KISS bandmates' collaboration was broken by the bassist/vocalist as he was giving an interview to the Minnesota classic rock radio station 92 KQRS last week.

Asked if KISS has any plans to return to the studio and make new music, Simmons said (see video below): "Well, I suppose at some point. But literally two days ago I was with Ace, who's not in the band — he used to be in the band three different times — and we wrote two songs. He asked me to write for his next solo record. So I went over to his place, way out in the desert some place, and we wrote two things. And eventually the band [the current lineup of KISS] will go back in [the studio to make new music]. But there's no great incentive, because the record industry, the entire thing, is so dysfunctional. You work hard and you get paid, and if we're gonna work a year on a record, I wanna get paid too. KISS is not a charity. We make a difference between what we do personally and as a band. We buy houses for vets, we supply jobs, we give money to charity, but that's 'cause I wanna give. I don't want anybody deciding that our art, our music, our concerts is free, because 'you have enough money.'"

Even though Frehley reached out to Simmons a couple of years about contributing the original KISS guitarist's "Origins Vol. 1" collection of covers, the bassist/vocalist ended up not appearing on the record because "either [Gene] didn't get the message or he was just too busy," Frehley told the WPDH 101.5 FM radio station last year.

"Origins Vol. 1" featured a guest appearance by KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley on a cover of the FREE classic "Fire And Water".

Frehley said in March that he was still on good terms with Stanley. "Yeah, we're good friends," the ex-KISS guitarist told Brazil's Kazagastão (KZG). He added that he also reconnected with Simmons for the first time since they spent time with each other at KISS's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction in 2014. "I just saw Gene [in February]. He came to my concert in Los Angeles. He hung out all night. [He was] very, very, very friendly. He was great with everybody."

Asked if there is any chance that he will rejoin KISS in the not-too-distant future, Frehley said: "I haven't heard anything. But if I were a betting man, I'd say maybe 50-50. That's good odds."

Rumors about Frehley's return to KISS gained strength last year after he teamed up with Stanley on the "Fire And Water" cover in what was their first collaboration since 1998's "Psycho Circus".

Stanley told Billboard earlier this year that he had no interest in a reunion of KISS's original lineup. "I sang on Ace's most recent album and did a video with him," he said. "I have the connection and the reconnection and to celebrate the good things we've done together is terrific. The band as it is — I've played with [current KISS drummer] Eric Singer for, I think, 25 years and Tommy's [Thayer, guitar] been in the band probably 15 years at this point. I have no thoughts of revisiting the past. With that said, I am happy to enhance or do whatever I can for anyone who has helped put me where I am, but that doesn't include getting hitched again to somebody I unhitched from."

According to Nerdist, Heavy Metal will unleash an IRON MAIDEN comic book this summer.

Based on the mobile role-playing game Iron Maiden: Legacy Of The Beast, the comic is set to feature the band's longtime mascot Eddie battling through the worlds of their albums.

Heavy Metal told Nerdist about the series: "Eddie's immortal soul is shattered and strewn across the cosmos. Now, Eddie must journey across space and time to battle the twisted legions of The Beast, seek out the lost shards of his soul, and bring order to the realms."

"As a lifelong fan of IRON MAIDEN, it is a privilege to publish the first comic giving a narrative to their iconic mascot, Eddie," Heavy Metal's Jeff Krelitz said of the project. "When we discussed the potential of coming together on this project, it was immediately clear that there was no better home for IRON MAIDEN than Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal's nearly half-century-long history of either working with or launching the careers of only the most accomplished artists continues here with the amazing team IRON MAIDEN has working on this series."

"Living For Life", the new video from California crossover thrash/hardcore punk legends SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Pep Williams and edited by Scott O'Malley for Guerilla Press.

"Living For Life" is taken from SUICIDAL TENDENCIES' latest album, "World Gone Mad", which was released last September. The follow-up to 2013's "13" disc was the band's first to feature former SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo and guitarist Jeff Pogan, who replaced Nico Santora in May 2016.

In other news, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES has announced plans to release a new EP in the fall. More information will be made available soon.

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES frontman Mike Muir recently told Full Metal Jackie's nationally syndicated radio show that "World Gone Mad" might be the band's last-ever album. He said: "I think it's a whole different process now, because previously, it used to be, 'Okay, time to do another record.' You go in there, and you record, and you're going into the studio and you're paying money. And you'd have everything planned out before you even go into here. Now, the good side of [making] music [is that], I guess, everybody has their own studio and anybody can use Pro Tools, so you can go in at any time, so you don't sit there and go, 'We're going in. We have this amount of time. Blah blah blah.' So you don't really think about it. And we found that, over the years, we record a lot of stuff just because we love doing music and having fun and not necessarily love the aspect of putting it out for other people to hear and judge and whatever."

He continued: "I think that with 'World Gone Mad', I think it's a perfect statement record to fit in with all what else we've done in the past and it's a good way to end it. As I said before, at the same time we recorded an EP, and there's a possibility we'll still put that out. But there's a very good chance that'll be the last album-album that we do. I know Dave [Lombardo, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES drummer] is… every time we talk, he's, like, 'Hey, let's record something.' So we'll always record things. Whether we put it out, I don't know. We've been so busy since this record has come out and we've got so much stuff already planned that it's, like, I can't even think about even recording another record anyhow. So I guess that's good."

Lombardo was more optimistic about SUICIDAL TENDENCIES' chances of releasing new music, telling Metal Wani: "I hope [there will be more SUICIDAL TENDENCIES records]. I really hope. I feel like that guy [Mike Muir] has a lot more creativity in him and a lot more energy than to throw in the towel. I feel Mike is on top of his game, and he's got a great band and great history with this band and I think that we should keep going, and I hope he does. And I'm not gonna stop asking him to record. I'm going to make sure that I keep bugging him: 'Man, we've gotta record. Let's do some recording. C'mon, let's record another album. Why not?' I try to motivate the musicians I'm with because there's no reason to stop. You've gotta keep recording, you've gotta keep creating. It's what we do for a living."

British gothic metal pioneers PARADISE LOST will release their new album, "Medusa", on September 1 via Nuclear Blast. The artwork was created by Branca Studio and shows the infamous Gorgone Medusa from Greek mythology, carrying venomous snakes as hair and turning anyone into stone who would dare to look into her eyes.

PARADISE LOST guitarist Greg Mackintosh states about the artwork: "Whilst we were writing 'Medusa' and realizing what the new songs were becoming, we had to find an artist to reflect this direction. After searching around for a while, I found Branca Studios. They have a keen eye for design and their modern take on retro artwork really fit the bill. What they have come up with is a blending of colorful-yet-retro styling, whilst maintaining the classic PARADISE LOST feel."

About the choice to make her the figurehead of this new album, Holmes adds: "I was intrigued about a greater meaning and thinking more along the lines of what Medusa represents metaphorically. 'Medusa' as a title works in many ways. From a nihilist perspective, when I read the description of 'Medusa' on the Wikipedia page: 'Attempts to avoid looking into Medusa's eyes represents avoiding the ostensibly depressing reality that the universe is meaningless.' The title was pretty much in the bag!"

In other news, PARADISE LOST has announced a very special release show that will take place in Stuttgart at the iconic LKA Longhorn. Only on this night of September 1, PARADISE LOST will perform its entire new album. A short time later, PARADISE LOST will embark for an extensive European journey and bring their label mates and U.S. doomsters PALLBEARER, as well as SINISTRO from Portugal.

Regarding the sound of "Medusa", Nick told Italy's Linea Rock: "I would say if you've ever heard every album by PARADISE LOST, it's closest to the 'Shades Of God' album, our third album. It's an album carrying on from that, but hopefully it's a lot more sophisticated and it's better produced and better played than that album." Lead guitarist Gregor Mackintosh added: "Style-wise, it's more between 'Gothic' and 'Shades Of God' era, with modern touches to it as well."

For the first time in more than a decade, Ozzy Osbourne and Zakk Wylde are together again.

Known as one of rock's most lethal singer and guitarist pairings, the two will hit the road for a series of Ozzy headlining shows in the US this summer and fall, beginning July 14th (see dates below).  While they've performed together over the years, these shows are the first collaboration for the duo for a full tour since 2006. These dates also mark Ozzy’s first solo tour in the US in years beyond one Ozzy & Friends performance at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans, LA in October 2015.

Ozzy and Zakk first teamed up 30 years ago when Zakk (who Ozzy describes as "a f***ing absolutely amazing guitar player") joined Ozzy’s band in 1987; they last recorded in 2007 on Ozzy’s acclaimed Black Rain album.

In addition to reuniting with Zakk Wylde on guitar, Ozzy’s band will include longtime collaborators Blasko (bass), Tommy Clufetos (drums) and Adam Wakeman (keyboards). Ozzy’s tour dates kick off in July at the Rock USA Festival in Oshkosh, WI with additional dates to be announced in the coming weeks.

"I'm so happy to be getting back on the road with Zakk, Blasko, Tommy and Adam," says Ozzy. "This is what I do. This is where I belong, on the road."

"I'm really looking forward to The hardcore powahlifting training sessions with Ozzy as well as playing music in between sets of heavy squats, benching and deadlifts," Zakk Wylde adds.

In 1983, Star Licks Productions created a series of instructional videos featuring well-known musicians demonstrating their unique musical styles and techniques. The portfolio debuted with a wide-ranging group of players including Steve Lukather of Toto, Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, guitarist Albert Lee, and acclaimed guitarist/educator Wolf Marshall.

In one of the videos, Queen’s Brian May discussed his equipment and techniques, and demonstrates a number of his guitar solos. He covers both famous and lesser known Queen songs, including “Brighton Rock”, “Tie Your Mother Down”, “Somebody To Love”, “It's Late”, “Dead On Time”, “Put Out The Fire”, “It's A Hard Life”, “Keep Yourself Alive”, “Jesus”, “Father To Son” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”.

But I said ... if we’re going to the trouble of recording this stuff, why not film it as well, and make it into a Video Cassette ?! So we made a ‘pilot’ video, and people liked it, and this became the template for a whole collection of videos which, I think, stand up very well to this day. Maybe we should do an update?!”

Kee Of Hearts, the new project built around two true melodic rock superstars - Fair Warning singer Tommy Heart and former Europe guitarist Kee Marcello, have released a video for “A New Dimension”, a track from their self-titled debut album, due for release on September 15th. With a line-up rounded out by Ken Sandin (ex-Alien) on bass and Italian drummer Marco Di Salvia (Pino Scotto), the guys started working on their debut album in late 2016. With their songwriting strongly focused on melodic rock songs, the album came to completion under the direction of producer Alessandro Del Vecchio and covers a wide spectrum of styles with a lot of attention given to crafting great hooks delivered by musicians that know how to deliver the goods.

Musically, the band operates in a territory defined by Scandinavian AOR meeting German melodic hard rock with influences from the classic US AOR giants (think Giant, Journey, etc.).

Composed of some of L.A.'s most recognized studio and songwriting talents - Billy Sherwood, Guy Allison, and Bruce Gowdy - World Trade will release their third album, Unify, on August 4th. The album track “Gone All The Way” is available for streaming below.

Lead vocalist and main songwriter, Billy Sherwood has been a fixture of the L.A. studio and recording scene since the mid-80's. Billy's talents range from producing a Grammy nominated album for Paul Rodgers to being the current bass player of YES, handpicked by Chris Squire to replace him before his untimely death. He also recently joined up with Asia as a replacement for John Wetton after his passing for the band's current US tour with Journey.

"World Trade was always a very special band, with a unique sound. It's amazing all these years later to be able to make another record and have it feel just as special as the first," says Sherwood.

Guy Allison and Bruce Gowdy, a pair of musicians also known for being behind the awesome melodic rock band Unruly Child, and drummer Mark T. Williams (son of famed composer John Williams and brother of Toto singer Joseph) round out the lineup.

"World Trade was always one of my favourite bands that I had the pleasure to be involved in. We are a real bunch of creative souls. Our debut record had such a great vibe and our new CD Unity does as well!  To our fans, we hope we can come out and play for you soon," says Bruce Gowdy.

"If I had heard World Trade back when I was an impressionable young man (one who fell in love with the band U.K. on the very first listen), they would have made a lifelong impression on me. I'm very proud to have been a part of that musical journey with some of my very best friends," adds Guy Alliison.

The hallucination inducing cover artwork was completed once again by Mark Cooper of Mind Rape Art. Made-up of a 3-piece painting that continues the story from the 2-piece artwork from Lugal Ki Em. Cooper fuses the band's musical and conceptual ideas forming a piece of art that embodies the complexity of the bands music.

Mark Cooper comments, "The general idea was to create a scene where gods from beyond time and space are invading 3D-reality and taking over. They are chaotic beings that can take any form at will and manifest anything with their imaginations."

The guitars, bass, and synth tracks for Ultu Ulla were completed at Mann Studios. The drums and vocals were recorded in Florida at Krikbride Studios. Mixing, mastering, and production was completed by Studio 344 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Austin, Texas-based metal group, Dead Earth Politics, has parted ways with drummer Mason Evans. Evans co-founded Dead Earth Politics in 2005 with vocalist Ven Scott and contributed heavily to the band's meteoric rise through the Austin metal scene.

The band issued the following statement on Evan's departure: "One of the toughest decisions to make in a band is whether or not to part ways with a brother who has been there from the beginning. Mason is a founding member whose input and talents drove Dead Earth Politics' from the onset. With that in mind we are announcing that due to various  differences, we have decided to part ways. We wish Mason the absolute very best in his future endeavours and we are stoked as hell to share some big developments with everyone in the very near future."

The announcement comes on the heels of Dead Earth Politics' 20-city We Are Runescarred tour in support of their latest EP The Mobius Hammersmith. Released in March through Pavement Music, The Mobius Hammersmith is the final chapter in a trilogy that began with 2014's The Queen Of Steel.

The band will spend the coming months working on material for a planned full-length release while searching for a new drummer.

Forged from the soul of the Austin metal scene, Dead Earth Politics is a blade that cuts like no other. Having been compared to the likes of Lamb Of God, Iron Maiden, Pantera and other legends, this band strikes at many cores.

Dead Earth Politics is a five-time recipient of the Austin Chronicle's  "Best Performing Metal Band," winning the award every year from 2012-2016.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Hell In The Club is a killer hard rock/heavy metal band. Think of a playlist comprised of your favorite ‘80s hard rock bands like Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and the like mixed with the cream of the crop of ‘80s heavy metal like Ronnie James Dio, Helloween, and other giants of the era. Pennsylvania-based metal act Next To None, featuring drummer Max Portnoy, will release their second album, Phases, on July 7th via EMP Label Group in North America, and InsideOutMusic in Europe. A lyric video for the album track “Pause” is available for streaming below.

Formed in 2012, in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania, the foursome released their debut, A Light In The Dark, in 2015 via InsideOut, before setting out to work on Phases. The album features 12 tracks of powerful modern metal, self-recorded by the band at singer/keyboardist Thomas Cuce’s home studio Battery Power Studios, and mixed by Grammy nominated Periphery bassist Adam “Nolly” Getgood.

Drummer Max Portnoy says, “It's a collective production, with all of the band having their say. We had strong ideas as to how we wanted this album to turn out, and if we'd brought in an outside producer, then this could have changed. So, it was best for us to stick together and follow our own vision.”

The recording process started early last October, with drum parts being recorded at Neal Morse's Radiant Studios in Nashville; these sessions were engineered by Jerry Guidroz.

Says Portnoy, “We then spent about four months at Thomas' home studio (Battery Powered Studios) doing the rest of the work; Thomas was the engineer for those sessions. We were in there every day until 3am. I don't know how Kris coped, because he was going to school after we'd finished in the studio and getting just a couple of hours sleep.”

He continues, "We're so excited to finally be releasing our new album. We feel it's a huge step forward for the band and shows a much heavier and much more technical side. This album is very special to us because it's the first time we recorded and self-produced our entire album. We were able to create music that is completely our own. Every note, every sound, every word, came from us and we can't wait for you all to hear it. I suppose you could say that we've done here is do more of everything we did before, but the greater experience we now have has helped us become better at what we want to do.”

Vocalist Cuce adds, “Working with Nolly on the mix has been one of the highlights of this recording for us. He captured the exact sound we wanted right from the start. Doing this upcoming tour with The Shattered Fortress will be a great opportunity to premiere this new material to an audience that will surely get where we're coming from."

Phases marks the recording debut of new guitarist Derrick Schneider, who came on a recommendation from band friend and former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, who guested on the band’s first album. Guitarist Ryland Holland departed the band last year to attend Berklee College of Music.
