STATUS QUO Streaming “In The Army Now” Video From The Last Night Of The Electrics Live ReleaseOn July 14th, British rockers Status Quo will release The Last Night Of The Electrics, a live set recorded at the band’s emotionally charged, barnstorming show at London’s O2 last year. A video for “In The Army Now”, is available for streaming below.
This fantastic concert will be released on a series of formats 2CD, DVD, Blu-ray, Limited Edition 180g Black Triple Vinyl with side 6 etched (double gatefold), earBOOK (with 2 x Audio CD, 1 x DVD & 1 x Blu-ray, coffee table book including approx. 120 pages) and Digital.
Francis Rossi said, “This release captures Quo on incredible form, at a concert that will live long in my memory. It was a difficult time, but we knew what we needed to do and we delivered. This was by no means business as usual, nor should it have been, but the energy of the music, the band and the crowd coming together was palpable”.
Having been envisaged as a swansong for the band’s legendary electric set, the 2016 winter tour turned into something very different as Rick Parfitt was forced to be absent having suffered the first of a series of health issues that would tragically end his life as the year closed. With the band having been urged by both Rick himself and the fans to carry on and keep the music blasting, they found yet another gear, and the show captured in front of a the loyal O2 crowd turned out to be very special indeed.

Canada’s LOVIATAR Streaming New Track “Nascent (Stygian Wyrm Part I)”Loviatar (pronounced low-vye-ah-tar), are the latest addition to the Prosthetic Records family. Hailing from Canada, this four-piece borrows equally from the hazy gloom of My Bloody Valentine and the crushing riffs of Isis. With clearly sung vocals and equal parts somber and soaring, their thunderous elements of doom and post-metal contrast with hypnotic moments of atmospheric introspection to set them apart from others in the genre.
Formed in 2010, Loviatar have independently released a series of singles and EPs, and have been tapped to support such acts as Red Fang, Skeletonwitch and Blood Ceremony. In 2014, they shifted production to their newly built Wolf Lake Studios deep in the forested hills outside the nation's capital and began work on their first full length LP. Self-titled and set for a worldwide release date on July 28th, the album features two monolithic tracks available on all digital platforms, digipack CD and a limited edition gold and black swirl LP.

Toby Jepson’s WAYWARD SONS Release “Until The End” (Alternate Studio Video)Wayward Sons’ debut album, Ghosts Of Yet To Come, will be released on September 15th. An alternate studio video for the track “Until The End” can be seen below:
The band is set to release four videos to support single releases. The videos together will make one short film. You can see the first video, for debut single “Until The End”, below.
Wayward Sons is a UK guitar act made up of Toby Jepson (vocals, guitar), Sam Wood (guitar), Nic Wastell (bass), Dave Kemp (keys) and Phil Martini (drums). They have an impressive resume of groups they have previously worked with - Little Angels, Gun, Spear Of Destiny, Treason Kings and Chrome Molly to name a few - which is reassuring in terms of the band as players, but doesn’t really hint at their sound. Wayward Sons sound nothing like the sum of their parts. The music is hard rock but mixed with a vitality and energy - both musically and lyrically.
Ghosts Of Yet To Come is a hugely accomplished debut album - as might be expected. From the staccato riffing of “Give It Away” to the melodic intro of first single “Until The End”, from the hard rock of “Ghosts” to 4/4 rock of “Don’t Wanna Go”, the album sounds familiar yet of its own. Toby Jepson had the basis of songs written when the band formed. Together they then took these rough song ideas and forged their own sound. Lyrically the album sees Jepson treading a far more personal line than some of his previous output.
“I feel I have unfinished business, stories still left to tell, points to make, noise to create, all of the above... besides, it wasn't a choice, more of a need. My intention is very simple. I want to write about what makes me tick; about what I believe in. Hopefully you will believe in it too. It will be warts and all,” says Jepson.
The album was produced by Wayward Sons (Toby Jepson’s previous credits as a songwriter and producer include the likes of Katie Melua, The Virgin Marys, The Answer and Toseland) and Chris D’Adda (Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds).
Tracklisting:
“Alive”
“Until The End”
“Ghost”
“Don't Wanna Go”
“Give It Away”
“Killing Time”
“Crush”
“Be Still”
“Small Talk”
“Something Wrong”
“Until The End” video:
Wayward Sons have a series of dates through 2017, with more to follow.

28 - Derbyshire, UK - Rock And Blues Custom Show Festival

TEN - “La Luna Dra-cu-la” Lyric Video PostedMelodic hard rock band, Ten, will release their new album, Gothica on July 7th. The new album promises to be one of their strongest collection of songs to date. It is full of all the trademark textures and flavors we have come to expect from Ten, arguably one of the best and most consistent melodic hard rock bands in the genre. A lyric video for the new song “La Luna Dra-cu-la” is available for streaming below.
Gothica proudly displays all the hallmarks of classic Ten albums and will surely continue to build upon the rich legacy that the great British rockers have forged over a career spanning 22 years and counting.
Gothica emerges as their darkest album to date. Embracing history, romance and erotic horror in equal measure as it does, the title proves to be a fitting name. As listeners, we are transported from the darker side of human nature to the nocturnal supernatural, a dramatic realm of nightmares and the forbidden. Gothica is cinematic in every sense of the word. A web of musically elaborate spells, evoking embers that spark the imagination courtesy of the classic song writing of vocalist Gary Hughes.
Of the album, Gary says, "I am extremely pleased with the collection of songs on Gothica as they feel like they belong together. The band are firing on all cylinders once again and it is a gift to the army of fans everywhere who have relentlessly supported us over the years. It is ironically fitting that our 13th studio album should be a little more sinister, at the same time retaining all the commercial traits usually associated with a Ten album."
Following their success on the recent albums Albion and Isla De Muerta, Gary Hughes is joined once again by guitarists Dann Rosingana, Steve Grocott and John Halliwell along with bass player Steve McKenna, keyboard maestro Darrel Treece-Birch, and drummer Max Yates. On their third outing as a collective unit, the musicians in Ten have raised the bar even higher than they had previously. The album is full of stunning guitar work over a rich keyboard, bass, and drum tapestry with Hughes’ vocals once again bringing the nuances of the intricate lyrics to life.
Gothica was produced by Gary Hughes and mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward. Ten’s longstanding professional association with Dennis has been ongoing since he mixed their 2011 album, Stormwarning.
Additionally, the album features stunning original artwork by Stan W. Decker, depicting a beautiful enchantress reading incantations from a book whilst summoning shadowy characters from its pages. Stan has cleverly illustrated the piece in order to portray the characters emerging from the books pages as the actual characters from the songs on the album. The atmospheric sleeve photography is once again provided by the remarkably talented Adrian Ashworth.

TUESDAY THE SKY Featuring FATES WARNING Founding Guitarist JIM MATHEOS Release “It Comes In Waves” Instrumental Playthrough VideoJim Matheos, founding guitarist of legendary US progressive metallers Fates Warning, is set to release the debut album from his new ambient instrumental rock project, Tuesday The Sky. The first full-length album, Drift, will be available on June 30th via InsideOut Music, and sees Matheos expanding the boundaries of his sound ever further.
An instrumental playthrough video for the album track “It Comes In Waves” can be found below.
Drift came together in the downtime between Fates Warning finishing Theories Of Flight and the beginning of the touring cycle, enabling Matheos to explore a type of atmospheric and instrumental music you might not expect of him. He comments: "With this kind of music, it's a lot about creating a mood and letting that sink in and develop over long periods of time, as opposed to the more frenetic format of most prog music."
Taking cues from artists like Brian Eno, Boards Of Canada, Sigur Ros and Explosions In The Sky, he explores expansive textures and ambient electronica, as well as some of the most colossal riffs he has ever produced.
The album also features the talents of God Is An Astronaut's drummer Lloyd Hanney, who provides a rhythmic backbone that is at once punchy, precise and restrained when necessary. Other guests include long-time OSI collaborator and former Dream Theater member Kevin Moore who plays keys on two songs as well as Anna-Lynne Williams (Trespassers William, Lotte Kestner), who provides ethereal vocals (of the non-verbal kind) on two other songs.
What the future of this project holds and whether it will be taken out on the road is yet to be seen. Matheos comments: "It would be a challenge to bring this project but it is an interesting idea and one I would at least consider if there seems to be enough interest."
What is sure though, is that Tuesday The Sky's debut is a bold, brave, creative and ultimately successful album from one of rock's most underrated of musicians. The album will be released as special edition CD, black LP + CD & digital download.

MOTÖRHEAD Guitarist's PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS Signs With NUCLEAR BLASTPHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS' (formerly PHIL CAMPBELL'S ALL STARR BAND) has inked a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast.
PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS is the band featuring MOTÖRHEAD guitarist Phil Campbell alongside his sons Todd, Dane and Tyla, plus vocalist Neil Starr.
Commented Phil Campbell: "I am really pleased to announce that my band PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS have signed a record deal with Nuclear Blast. The label is home to some great bands, some of which are also very good friends of mine. Once we get back from the summer festivals, we look forward to recording our first full-length album!"
In celebration of the signing announcement, the band has put together the exclusive digital-only live EP, "Live At Solothurn", which is available via all download and streaming platforms as of today.
"Live At Solothurn" track listing:
01. Big Mouth02. Nothing Up My Sleeve (MOTÖRHEAD cover)03. Spiders04. Take Aim05. R.A.M.O.N.E.S. (MOTÖRHEAD cover)06. Sweet Leaf (BLACK SABBATH cover)
PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS released its self-titled debut five-track EP in November via Motörhead Music. Produced by Todd Campbell at the band's own Stompbox Studios in Wales, U.K., and mixed by MOTÖRHEAD producer Cameron Webb, "Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons" loudly shoves you head-first into its raw, gritty, classic and instantly accessible rock 'n' roll charms. Whether it's the speedy biker-charged refrain of "No Turning Back", the crunchy catchy jump of "Big Mouth" or the beautiful-yet-bombastic balladry of "Life In Space", "Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons" brings uniquely organic life and verve to every last riff and stomp, with Starr's sensational vocals ensuring this EP was the surprise of the 2016 rock 'n' roll release calendar.
Neil Starr recently told Kaaos TV about PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS' debut EP: "The reason it's an EP is we can get that done quicker. We wanted to give people some music to hear that was our own music, some music of our own that we can play live as well. So the idea was to get something done as quick as possible. It keeps the fans interested in the band, because there's new songs to keep it fresh. And it's great for us, 'cause we get to write more songs all the time. Todd, who's in the band, has his own recording studio, so it's really easy for us to just go in and do what we wanna do whenever we want, which is great."
Regarding the musical direction of PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS' original material, Neil said: "You know what you're gonna get, because Phil Campbell is the riff god. So you hear these MOTÖRHEAD riffs; Phil wrote a lot of those songs. So there's elements of that gonna be coming through in the music. Obviously, personally, I wouldn't ever want to try and be like Lemmy and his style that he does, because that's one person who does that, and that's him. You don't try and do that. I bring my own style to the band, but, obviously, yeah, there's lots of really great riffs in the songs, like you would expect from a band that's got Phil Campbell in it. It's just rock and roll music, I guess." 1

LENG TCH'E: New Song 'Cirrhosis' Available For Streaming"Cirrhosis", a brand new song from Belgian death grind extremists LENG TCH'E, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's sixth full-length album, "Razorgrind", which will be released on August 25 via Season Of Mist.
LENG TCH'E comments on "Cirrhosis": "This one's a stomper, a grinder, a banger, a kicker, and a thrasher. It's a perfect sample of all that we've tried to incorporate on 'Razorgrind': pure energy from start to finish!"
"Razorgrind" track listing:
01. Gundog Allegiance (1:26)02. Indomitable (1:29)03. Cibus (1:29)04. Spore (2:20)05. AnarChristic (1:08)06. Stentor of Doom (1:56)07. Redundant (2:47)08. Commitment Fail (2:19)09. The Red Pill (3:03)10. Species. Path. Extinction. (2:52)11. Guinea Swine (3:24)12. Cirrhosis (2:35)13. I Am the Vulture (2:57)14. Magellanic Shrine (6:36)
The development of veteran bands follows established patterns. Some become complacent and happy to release a regular string of barely inspired albums. Others take their time and with no need to prove anything wait until the time is ripe to hammer out another crusher that demonstrates their hard-won maturity much to the delight of their following. LENG TCH'E fall into the latter category.
The Belgian death grind extremists obviously felt no rush to follow-up their latest sonic assault "Hypomanic" (2010), but their new sixth full-length, aptly named after their self-chosen style description "razorgrind," comes with everything that their die-hard fans want to hear. Short, sharp chops crammed with brutal riffing, down-tuned grinding and a knack for deadly melodies over which frontman Sergeï bellows belligerent and fury-filled vocal lines.
LENG TCH'E is:
Sergeï Kraven: vocalsJan Hallaert: guitarOlivier Coppens: drumsNicolas Malfeyt: bass guitar 2

Listen To BRENDON SMALL's New Single, 'My Name Is Murder', From 'Galaktikon II: Become The Storm' AlbumBrendon Small — the mastermind behind the metal band DETHKLOK — will release his new high-stakes intergalactic extreme rock/metal album, "Galaktikon II: Become The Storm", on August 25 via Megaforce Records/MRI. The new single, titled "My Name Is Murder", is available via all streaming platforms today Get your dose of thrashy, punchy, interstellar-metal goodness and listen to "My Name Is Murder" below.
Brendon Small says: "I wrote all the riffs for 'My Name Is Murder' in one sitting, and it quickly became a favorite while we were making the record. Story-wise, this song is about a bad dude doing very bad things, and writing from the POV of a bad guy is very, very fun for me." "Galaktikon II: Become The Storm" follows the space-age theme of 2012's original GALAKTIKON album, with a conceptual storyline and a heavier, darker, more brutal sound. In addition to Brendon Small on vocals and guitar, the album will feature acclaimed musicians and DETHKLOK alum Bryan Beller (bass; THE ARISTOCRATS, Dweezil Zappa, Steve Vai) and Gene Hoglan (drums; TESTAMENT, DEATH, DARK ANGEL). "Galaktikon II: Become The Storm" was co-produced by Small and Grammy-nominated producer/engineer Ulrich Wild, who also worked behind the board on the DETHKLOK albums. With these names behind the project, it should come as no surprise that "Galaktikon II: Become The Storm" is a welcomed transformation and expansion of the sound that put Brendon Small on the musical map. With uncapped time and creativity on their side, Small & Co. were able to reach above and beyond what fans have come to expect as of now. "Galaktikon II: Become The Storm" proves to be Small's most commanding release yet. "This record is a combination of all the sounds I've been making throughout my creative life," says Brendon Small. "It's as heavy as I want it to be and melodic as I want it to be — it's the bigger, darker record I wanted to hear. And what a way to celebrate my ten-year anniversary of making metal with Gene, Bryan and Ulrich, some of the best in the industry. I'm excited to have it live inside listeners' heads and let their imaginations take over!"

Correspondingly, the band's latest full-length, "The Stories We Tell Ourselves", sees frontman Jonny Hawkins once again bearing the soul of NOTHING MORE as his bandmates Mark Vollelunga (guitar), Daniel Oliver (bass) and Ben Anderson (drums) craft a sonic palette comprised of elements ranging from progressive metal to pop. Ultimately the album isn't just about the band's stories, it's also about the listener's personal narrative.
"Many times there is a disconnect between the stories we tell ourselves about reality and reality itself. That disconnect is a void where suffering and self-frustration often enter our lives," Hawkins explains. "'The Stories We Tell Ourselves' is an introspective journey from the first song to the last. Making this album helped me stay tethered to reality as I navigated through challenges in my personal life. I believe it will do the same for others. The title alone was a constant reminder to stay grounded when extreme waves of anxiety, depression, and sadness would try and sweep me into fruitless thought patterns and self-destructive, tail-chasing. For NOTHING MORE, music has always been the source from which we find a positive way to move through challenging emotions… this record is no exception." Furthermore, the album will be relatable to anyone who needs to look deep inside of themselves and find the strength to carry on in the face of adversity.
The songs on "The Stories We Tell Ourselves" were written early last year and recorded primarily on the road and in personal studios as production duties were often handled by Hawkins and the band themselves. "We are all very hands-on with the recording, so we decided that making this record on the road, when we were creatively thriving, would be ideal," Vollelunga says. While Hawkins previously wrote and performed most of the band's drum parts, this is the first album to feature Anderson, who joined the band in 2015. "Ben is an incredible drummer and gelled with our musical vision immediately," Oliver explains. "His talents also freed Jonny up to focus more on the production and melodies and I think that made this album come together in a really fluid way."
From the relentless groove of "Don't Stop" to the emotive, anthemic bent of the PIXIES-esque "Still In Love", "The Stories We Tell Ourselves" proves that confessionals have never been so catchy — and songs like "Let 'Em Burn" seamlessly alternate between aggression and anthemic pop. "'Just Say When' is probably the most sentimental song we've ever written and it came at a time when I had these overwhelming feelings of frustration about a past failed relationship. I needed an outlet to get it all out," Hawkins explains. It has been said that the polar emotion to sadness is anger. This is most certainly true as all sentimentality transforms from "Just Say When" into a furious blaze during "Go To War", which sees Hawkins showcasing his dynamic vocal range over a mix of electronic and organic instrumentation. "Whenever this band has difficult emotions, we turn them into something positive through music. That alchemy is the biggest reason we continue to do what we do," he says of the cathartic process.
Lyrically the band was further informed by everything from the writings of Carl Jung and C.S. Lewis to the potent psychedelic DMT, the latter of which helped open Hawkins's mind to new ways of understanding himself and the world around him. "'Funny Little Creatures' is about waking up to the fact that there are these creatures that you have within yourself and that there's often a lot more going on in our subconscious than we consider," he says. These ideas are mirrored in the artwork which ties directly into the central themes behind "The Stories We Tell Ourselves". However, while the content may be heady, the album also features more pop elements than any of the band's previous albums. Such is the case with the aforementioned "Don't Stop" which sees the band writing massive hooks that stretch toward the stratosphere. "I think 'Don't Stop' is totally genre-bending for us; we find inspiration in so many different kinds of music and felt it was important to not make rules about what we could or couldn't do with this record," says Hawkins. "This album definitely goes to a lot of places that we've never been before and I'm really proud of that," adds Vollelunga.
Then there are the band's live shows which have become legendary for the kinetic energy they share onstage. "We come from a perspective that the live show should be a totally different type of experience than what you hear on the record and we try to show that in every performance," says Hawkins. It's clear that this is a band that can't wait to share "The Stories We Tell Ourselves" with their fans across the globe.
Ultimately, "The Stories We Tell Ourselves" proves to all of us that even if our stories don't always have a happy ending there's a beauty in their very existence. Even during the album's darkest moments — Hawkins literally sings about being stuck in a hole on "Still In Love" — there's a hopefulness that permeates each of these songs that will inevitably resonate with new listeners while making the deep bond that NOTHING MORE has with their fans even deeper.

Watch MARTY FRIEDMAN Play Snippets Of Songs From His Upcoming Album, 'Wall Of Sound'To ring in a new era, former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman demonstrates his brand new Jackson MF-1 signature model in a new video posted on Jackson's YouTube page. The ten-minute-plus clip showcases Marty playing this new guitar amidst rare, intimate discussions about his decision to return to Jackson. In addition, the video features song clips from his upcoming album, "Wall Of Sound".
"Wall Of Sound" will be released on August 4 via Prosthetic Records. Produced by Friedman, engineered by Paul Fig (GHOST, RUSH, ALICE IN CHAINS) and mixed by Jens Bogren (KREATOR, OPETH, SEPULTURA), the disc "expands and destroys any conventional notions of instrumental music," according to a press release. Legendary QUEEN producer Mack came on board to handle the mixing on two tracks, "Streetlight" and "For A Friend", which Friedman proclaimed was "an honor for me, for sure."
Friedman said last year about the musical direction of the follow-up to his 2014 album "Inferno": "This time it's even more ambitious than that album was, a bit more dense, and, with any luck, more exciting for those of you who will hear it."
He added: "There will be elevent or twelve songs in total. Sometimes a song you really love doesn't make it to the album because it doesn't fit nicely in the sequencing. Either way, we're pushing sixty minutes, so it won't be a short album."
Marty's new CD was recorded in part at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in California with engineer Paul Fig (ALICE IN CHAINS, RUSH, DEFTONES) and was previously described by Friedman as "a way more intense version" of its predecessor: "deeper, sadder, happier and more aggressive."
Like "Inferno", Friedman's upcoming album will feature several guests, including prog-thrashers MUTOID MAN, Jørgen Munkeby of the Norwegian avant-garde jazz-metal outfit SHINING and Jinxx of Los Angeles theatrical rockers BLACK VEIL BRIDES.
Regarding how the collaboration with Jinxx came about, Friedman told Guitar World: "I'm a big fan of Jinxx and BLACK VEIL BRIDES. He came to my show in L.A. in 2015. Right after that, I was told that he plays violin. I didn't even know that! Then light bulbs went off. I thought now's the chance to really turn some heads by doing something that's a little bit, well, a lot, unexpected to my fans and his fans." 1

AC/DC's ANGUS YOUNG Joins GUNS N' ROSES On Stage In Hannover, Germany (Video)AC/DC guitarist Angus Young made a guest appearance with GUNS N' ROSES earlier tonight (Thursday, June 22) in Hannover, Germany during the European leg of the latter band's "Not In This Lifetime" tour.
Young joined GUNS to perform the AC/DC classic "Whole Lotta Rosie".
Young previously played with GUNS N' ROSES at two shows in Sydney, Australia in February. He also jumped on stage with the group in April 2016 at the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival to perform the AC/DC classics "Riff Raff" and "Whole Lotta Rosie".
GUNS N' ROSES lead singer Axl Rose did a string of European and North American concerts with AC/DC in 2016, mostly to fan and critical acclaim.
It is unknown whether Rose will continue singing with AC/DC. The band's future remains in doubt after the band completed its world tour in support of 2014's "Rock Or Bust", a cycle that saw a massive turnover in the group's personnel. Sole original member Angus Young has not yet indicated whether the group will continue recording and touring.
In March 2016, AC/DC's singer of 35 years, Brian Johnson, had to leave the band's North American tour after doctors told him he might lose his hearing, while 40-year bassist Cliff Williams announced his retirement at the rescheduled trek's conclusion.
The lineup that completed the tour consisted of Williams, Angus Young, Rose, Chris Slade on drums and Angus's nephew Stevie Young on guitar.
GUNS will come back to North America for at least another 15 stadium dates this summer, starting on July 27 in St. Louis and ending on September 8 in San Antonio.

TARJAToday, Tarja surprises the fans that weren’t able to attend one of her many festival performances this summer by releasing a digital single bundle for her song “An Empty Dream”.
Says Tarja: “The song ‘An Empty Dream’ was presented to me by the film director Mariano Cattaneo in Argentina. I gave it a listen, liked it and wished that I could work on it myself, in order to make it sound more like me. I rewrote the English lyrics after watching the movie and worked on the melodies. I also wrote the complete music for the middle 8 part. The movie version of this song is the vision of the composer and the movie director and the one you can find on my album is my vision of it. Just a bit different :)
We filmed a music video for the song in Buenos Aires at the same location where the movie itself was filmed. An old abandoned factory. Seriously a spooky looking and feeling space. I had the pleasure to work with the main actress of the movie, Ariadna Asturzzi, in the shootings and had a lot of fun with her and the rest of the film crew.
When I was thinking which song to add to this special single release from my latest album ‘The Shadow Self’, the song ‘Undertaker’ immediately came to my mind because it is a very score kind of song and I wrote it together with film composer Atli Örvarsson.
I had a big pleasure to visit Genelec’s Artist Room in Helsinki, Finland not so long ago. It was lovely to sing and record live and acoustically two very different kinds of songs, of which you can find the studio versions on my ‘The Brightest Void’ album. When I am singing these songs accompanied by acoustic instruments only, they become new to me and I really enjoy interpreting them all over again. It is interesting to see every time what is the outcome! I hope you enjoy these versions as much as I do.”
Having released not one but two studio albums in 2016, Tarja’s brand new digital single bundle revolves around “An Empty Dream” from her prequel “The Brightest Void”. The song that has been re-written and re-worked for the release of her studio album has its origin in the soundtrack of the Argentinean movie “Corazón Muerto”. The two versions, both different in their atmosphere, are included in the digital single bundle and, without a doubt, get under your skin with their gentle, romantic but yet horror movie feel.
Tarja’s crystal clear voice is only accompanied by a piano on the two beautiful, previously unreleased renditions of “House Of Wax”, a cover of Sir Paul McCartney’s overlooked gem, and her own “The Living End”. The stripped down versions have been recorded at the Genelec Artist Room in Helsinki, Finland this April.
The single bundle also includes one of Tarja’s favourite songs from the sequel album “The Shadow Self”, the delicious slice of symphonic metal “Undertaker”, as well as the official video to “An Empty Dream”.
With the release of the worldwide chart successes “The Brightest Void” and “The Shadow Self”, the versatile singer has followed up on the success of the multi-platinum and gold awarded previous records “My Winter Storm” (2007), “What Lies Beneath” (2010) and “Colours In The Dark” (2013) which charted all over the globe including 4 Top 10 entries.
Tracklist
1. An Empty Dream
2. An Empty Dream (Movie Version)
3. Undertaker
4. House Of Wax (Live At Genelec Artist Room)
5. The Living End (Live At Genelec Artist Room)
6. An Empty Dream (Video) 11

Video Premiere: ALTER BRIDGE's 'Cradle To The Grave'ALTER BRIDGE's video for the song "Cradle To The Grave" can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's fifth studio album, "The Last Hero", which was released in October by Caroline Records in the United States/Canada and Napalm Records throughout the rest of the globe. The CD was produced by longtime friend and collaborator Michael "Elvis" Baskette (SLASH, TREMONTI, TRIVIUM) and mastered by Grammy Award winner Ted Jensen.
ALTER BRIDGE vocalist Myles Kennedy told FaceCulture in an interview that even though the band's new album is called "The Last Hero", it's not necessarily a politically oriented record. Kennedy explained: "The trick was not to get too directly political, because all that does is piss people off. One of the key emotions a lot of people seem to be feeling is disillusionment, and what I try to do as a lyricist is touch on these emotions."
Guitarist Mark Tremonti agreed, telling The Pulse Of Radio that the album title and concept is more general in nature. "Myles kind of ran with that as a theme for the record," he said. "It's a calling out for leaders in this world that you can trust and put faith in and, you know, it's just such a circus right now, especially here in the States, with everything that's going on. So it's just, you know, a call out to find new leaders in this world."
ALTER BRIDGE will release of a new live album and rarities collection, "Live At The O2 Arena + Rarities", on September 8 via Napalm Records.
One of the biggest moments of the band's career was the monumental show at London's famous O2 Arena on November 26, 2016. That landmark performance was captured in its entirety. The two-CD, nineteen-track recording documents what an enormous presence ALTER BRIDGE have become on concert stages around the world.
In addition, this latest release includes an exclusive full-length rarities CD sure to excite fans everywhere. The disc features the never-before-released tracks "Cruel Sun" and "Solace" that were recorded during the "One Day Remains" sessions, as well as the song "Breathe" from the same time which has only ever been available as a U.S. retail exclusive via Best Buy. These tracks join seven other songs that have only been released in Japan until this collection.
This incredible selection of ALTER BRIDGE gems will be released in multiple formats. In addition to a standard three-CD audio version, fans can also pick up one of the limited deluxe editions (including a four-LP set and a CD/DVD Earbook) which also include an exclusive ALTER BRIDGE documentary featuring extensive interviews with the band, their crew, and family, giving an amazing glimpse behind the scenes of this legendary show at London's O2 Arena.

SALEMS LOTT Release Anime-Style Music Video For “Enigma”Hollywood-based shock rock frontrunners, Salems Lott, have been making a name for themselves on the Sunset Strip since their inception in 2013, selling out venues such as House Of Blues, The Whisky A Go Go, The Roxy and Viper Room countless times. Performing a heavy speed metal sound mixed with shocking theatrics and an even more surprising look, the band have amassed fans from here to Japan with their antics and sound.
With the recent release of part one of their new two-part album series, Mask Of Morality, the band delved into socially-conscious themes on individualism, values, morality and current politics. One of the more eye-opening tracks on the album, entitled "Enigma", focuses on freedom of speech on both sides of the societal coin.
Salems Lott have just revealed their brand new music video for "Enigma". Directed by Ian Moore and produced by UWOWI, the video features custom anime-style animation depicting the band in a dystopian society whose people are on-the-verge of battle with one another. The battle stems from the dissolving of individualism and a hyper-focus on equality. Watch below.
Lead guitarist Jett Black says, "The anime portion portrays a hypothetical fictional future in which the ideology of equality attains complete dominance. Wealth, prosperity, individualism are ostracized and violently subdued. Conversely, equality and collectivism are promoted to its utter extreme. These two opposing views inevitably battle it out. Throughout the video the band symbolizes the lost archetype of yang - order - the father and all of the archetypal elements embodied. In contrast, the authoritative figures of the future and the violent activists of the modern day, embody the extreme archetype of yin - chaos - the overbearing mother."
Black adds, "Freedom of speech is the mechanism in which a healthy society remains balanced and not swayed by either extreme. In the video, we see the signs of an unbalanced extreme being pushed forward through violent suppression of free speech (opposing views). This is something we are seeing today more commonly and would ultimately lead to a Marxist 'utopian' future as the one depicted in the anime. Hence the title "Enigma" (other than censorship reasons): The nature of an ideology that is deeply damaging/authoritative but masquerades under the innocent good intentioned guise of compassion (while any opposing view is vilified), which makes it so mysterious, ambiguous and hard to identify as the problem. The shadowy figure silencing individuals through force and its extended intimidation."
Salems Lott is:

Jett - Lead Guitar, Vocals
Kay - Lead Bass, Vocals
Tony F. Corpse - Drums

I knew that the seven string guitars would beef it up a little but BOOM....I just remember smiling and saying, ‘That's what I'm talking about.’ ‘Dirty Work’ was a little departure for us....We had an Alice in Chains feel with the harmonies and I really like how it came out. Live songs....’Don't Scream / Heaven / Regan's Dream,’ I remember being very nervous for that show. I literally got home from ten days in Europe and had to perform in three days. CONFESSIONS OF A TRAITOR Launch Music Video For “In Darkness, Ignite The Spark”Confessions Of A Traitor have released an official video for the track “In Darkness, Ignite The Spark”, taken from their brand new EP Illuminate, released via Sliptrick Records worldwide in all formats.
The song is about constantly battling, looking for a way out of constant pain, having a brief break from it and plummeting further into self doubt. It then takes a positive twist about eventually cutting the negativity from your life and realizing that you need to take time to heal yourself before you can concentrate on anything or anyone, and having the strength to overcome it.
The video vaguely reflects this with the imagery of Steve stuck in the chains and the performance element being the release. It’s all relative on a personal level, this is how we interpret the lyrics and hopefully anyone who listens and watches, will interpret them in their own way.
Illuminate’s song titles are a poem when read together. They tell another story of struggle and how hope and belief will prevail. Adding more technical elements to the music with strong melodic sections, catchy riffs and the introduction of clean vocals have helped the band to write their best material to date.
Tracklisting:
“In Darkness, Ignite The Spark”
“For The Fires We Burn Are Boundless”
“The Light We Possess Is Relentless”
“Through Struggle, Hope Will Anchor Our Souls” (feat. JT Cavey of Erra)
