Watch MORBID ANGEL's New Lineup Perform In Los Angeles

Watch MORBID ANGEL's New Lineup Perform In Los Angeles

Fan-filmed video footage of MORBID ANGEL's entire June 16 concert at The Regent in Los Angeles, California can be seen below.

The band's setlist was as follows:

01. Summoning Redemption02. Bil Ur-Sag03. I04. Warped05. To The Victor The Spoils06. Curse The Flesh07. Prayer Of Hatred08. Covenant Of Death09. Praise The Strength10. Beneath The Hollow11. Ageless, Still I Am12. Nothing Is Not13. He Who Sleeps14. Umulamahri

MORBID ANGEL played a brand new song, "Warped", live for the first time on May 23 at the opening show of the band's North American tour at The Beacham in Orlando, Florida.

In a recent interview with Orlando Weekly, MORBID ANGEL's current frontman, Steve Tucker, who is back for his third spell with the group, was asked if the band's current trek — which ends on June 27 in New Orleans — will see the band performing any songs from its recently completed new studio album. "Probably one or two new songs; the album's almost done, but we don't want to put out too much with YouTube putting it up the next day," Tucker explained. "The setlist will be different, too — in the past, we've covered all of MORBID ANGEL's discography, but this time we went with the discography between Trey [Azagthoth, guitar] and I. I'm really excited about the fact that every song we play is a song I was a part of. There are some MORBID ANGEL classics that aren't there, but we made our own classics."

MORBID ANGEL's new disc was recorded at Mana Recording in St. Petersburg, Florida with producer — and former MORBID ANGEL guitarist — Erik Rutan. Tentatively due in the fall via UDR Music, the LP will mark the band's first release with drummer Scott Fuller (ANNIHILATED, ex-ABYSMAL DAWN) who joined MORBID ANGEL last year following the departure of Tim Yeung. It will also be MORBID ANGEL's first album to feature Tucker since 2003's "Heretic".

Tucker told "The Metal Magdalene With Jet" show about MORBID ANGEL's approach on the upcoming album: "It was really just about writing music — it was just about writing a MORBID ANGEL album. Nobody said, 'Hey, we wanna go in this direction,' nobody said anything. I mean, there's obvious things there. I've said it before — I'm a death metal guy, so, for me, it's gonna be a death metal album; if I'm on it, it's death metal. So it was just about making a MORBID ANGEL album. It was really about coming in with something new, something fresh, but yet it still being MORBID ANGEL. Really, honestly, we didn't approach this any differently than any of the other albums I was involved in except for maybe [1998's] 'Formulas Fatal To The Flesh', which 'Formulas', Trey wrote all the music, all the lyrics and things like that. But this was done more similar to maybe [2000's] 'Gateways To Annihilation', where everybody had their contribution. Trey wrote a bunch of songs, I wrote songs, Scotty contributed some ideas. There was a lot of back-and-forth. In the end, it has to become a MORBID ANGEL song. And at this point, I feel that it's very much a MORBID ANGEL album."

MORBID ANGEL in January announced the addition of Dan Vadim Von (guitarist/frontman of the American death metal band VADIMVON) to the band's lineup on second guitar. He joined the group as the replacement for Norwegian guitarist Destructhor (a.k.a. Thor Anders Myhren), who left the band a year and a half ago.

MORBID ANGEL's first U.S. tour of 2017 features support from SUFFOCATION, REVOCATION and WITHERED.

Former MORBID ANGEL frontman David Vincent recently joined forces with several other musicians — including Yeung (drums) — to perform classic MORBID ANGEL songs under the I AM MORBID banner.

MORBID ANGEL's controversial 2011 album, "Illud Divinum Insanus", marked the group's first CD to feature Vincent since "Domination".

ICE-T's BODY COUNT Releases Gory 'Here I Go Again' Video

ICE-T's BODY COUNT Releases Gory 'Here I Go Again' Video

"Here I Go Again", the new video from BODY COUNT, the metal band fronted by hip-hop legend, actor and director Ice-T, can be seen below. Arguably the group's most gory and horrific offering to date, the clip showcases Ice-T's well-known fascination with the morbid side of art and playing the villain.

"Here I Go Again" is featured on BODY COUNT's latest album, "Bloodlust", which was released on March 31 via Century Media Records.

"Bloodlust" was recorded with producer Will Putney (MISS MAY I, UPON A BURNING BODY), who also helmed 2014's "Manslaughter". The new CD features guest appearances by Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, SEPULTURA), MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine and LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe. The effort also contains BODY COUNT's medley of the SLAYER songs "Postmortem" and "Raining Blood".

Ice-T recently told Revolver magazine about the "Bloodlust" album title: "Bloodlust is part of the human makeup. Murder is about as normal as love. It's in our nature to want to get violent and kill, but we know there are consequences. That's why we like violent movies, video games and combat sports. It's in our DNA. It's what we are."

BODY COUNT will make its long-awaited return to the stage in North America next month. The band will play its first show in the states since releasing "Bloodlust" on July 15 at the Chicago Open Air festival at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois.

STONE SOUR Guitarist: Being Called 'NICKELBACK Lite' By CHAD KROEGER Is 'Ultimate Insult'

STONE SOUR Guitarist: Being Called 'NICKELBACK Lite' By CHAD KROEGER Is 'Ultimate Insult'

STONE SOUR guitarist Josh Rand has responded to NICKELBACK frontman Chad Kroeger after the latter blasted STONE SOUR as "NICKELBACK Lite." Asked about the remarks in a new interview with Musik Universe, Rand said (hear audio below): "There's no sense in me tearing into [Chad]. It's obvious he'd been drinking the entire time he was doing the interview.

"I don't understand why… for him to basically say we're 'NICKELBACK Lite' is… I don't know if I can fire back with anything. [Laughs] He's kind of come up with the ultimate insult, so how do I…? I mean, I don't know what else to say.

"How I took it was the interviewer… [Chad] was talking about how diverse the band is and the interviewer mentioned us, and [Chad] kind of snapped. [Laughs] Which is… I mean, it is what it is."

In an interview posted earlier this week with Sweden's Metal Covenant, Kroeger said that STONE SOUR was "trying to be NICKELBACK," adding, "[STONE SOUR singer] Corey Taylor has said some really nasty things about me before in the press. He talks about how easy it is to write a hit song. Well, show me. Show me. Write one. I have yet to hear one. They're okay. But they're not as good as NICKELBACK. They sound like 'NICKELBACK Lite.'"

Taylor on Monday fired back at Kroeger, calling him an "idiot" with a "face like a foot." He said: "I've never said it was easy to write a hit song. I don't know what the hell planet he's living on. Apparently it's Planet Kroeger, and there must be good weed there, 'cause he's an idiot."

Taylor claimed that he was "cued up to say some stuff" about Kroeger but added, "I don't have to say a damn thing — he is not a liked person. That's all we have to say about it."

Yet Taylor continued anyway, taking issue with Kroeger saying that Corey's other band, SLIPKNOT, "had to put on masks and jump around" as a gimmick to sell records and concert tickets. Taylor responded, "You can run your mouth all you want. All I know is I've been voted 'Sexiest Dude In Rock' wearing a mask. You've been voted 'Ugliest Dude In Rock' twice without one."

Taylor emphasized that he had no issues with the other members of NICKELBACK, saying, "Everybody else in that band I'm very, very cool with; I've hung out with them. It's just 'Face Like A Foot' who I can't really hang out with. He's got a face like a foot. Am I wrong?"

NICKELBACK just released its ninth album, "Feed The Machine", last Friday (June 16), while STONE SOUR's new LP, "Hydrograd", arrives on June 30.

EXODUS's Next Album Will Be 'Heavy As S**t,' Says STEVE 'ZETRO' SOUZA

EXODUS's Next Album Will Be 'Heavy As S**t,' Says STEVE 'ZETRO' SOUZA

Steve "Zetro" Souza says that EXODUS's upcoming follow-up to 2014's "Blood In Blood Out" album won't be merely a continuation of its predecessor.

The San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal veterans are planning to enter the studio in the fall to begin recording the new disc for an early 2018 release.

Speaking to Canada's The Metal Voice, the EXODUS frontman stated about the timetable for the band's next effort (hear audio below): "Gary [Holt, EXODUS guitarist] and Tom [Hunting, EXODUS drummer] and I had to go to Metal Hammer [Golden Gods] awards last Monday in London, and I actually looked in [Gary's] eyes and said, 'When, Holt? When?' And he said we'll be in the studio around November. So [it will] probably [be out in] early spring."

Regarding the progress of the songwriting sessions for EXODUS's new album, Souza said: "Gary writes when he's out [touring] with SLAYER. He has this little recording unit in his room, so he'll write full stuff with everything on it and send it out [to the rest of us].

"He just sent us two songs — musically, with no lyrics — to listen to," he added. "And it [sounds] great. It's awesome. It's killer. Everybody's gonna love it. He knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing."

Asked if the new EXODUS material he has heard so far sounds like a continuation of "Blood In Blood Out", Souza said: "I don't think so. What I heard, it's not. It's a lot of records put together, I think. What I've heard, it's got a lot of different stuff on it — stuff that was on records that I wasn't on, [albums that were recorded] with [former EXODUS singer] Rob [Dukes] — a little bit of that into it. Some [elements of] 'Tempo [Of The Damned]' in it. Some 'Blood In Blood Out'. Again, I've heard two songs that I actually have in my phone, musically, and that's what I think the vein of it is. [It's] heavy as shit, though — really fucking heavy."

"Blood In Blood Out" was EXODUS's first album since the departure of the group's lead singer of nine years, Rob Dukes, and the return of Souza, who previously fronted EXODUS from 1986 to 1993 and from 2002 to 2004.

EXODUS drummer Tom Hunting told the "Mike James Rock Show" at this year's Download that the band has "five or six" new songs structured so far for the follow-up to "Blood In Blood Out", as well as "bits and pieces" of the remaining few tracks that will appear on the forthcoming disc.

NAPALM DEATH Frontman Teaches British Politician How To Sing Death Metal (Video)

NAPALM DEATH Frontman Teaches British Politician How To Sing Death Metal (Video)

Well-known British politician Ed Miliband hosted a discussion on BBC Radio 2 earlier today asking, "Why does anyone like death metal?" He was joined by NAPALM DEATH frontman Mark "Barney" Greenway, who tried to give the former Labour Party leader a lesson in the difficult singing style.

Greenway was brought on to the show to discuss the topic as a stage dedicated to the death metal genre is making an appearance at Glastonbury for the first time ever, curated by the long-running label Earache Records.

"I've been a groupie for SO long, been to the gigs, got the T-shirt, now's my chance to meet Napalm Death in person….," Miliband wrote excitedly on Twitter this morning.

Introducing the type of music NAPALM DEATH plays, Miliband said: "This isn't the heavy metal you might know like IRON MAIDEN. This is heavier than heavy."

Miliband's attempt at death metal singing came as he and Greenway were discussing NAPALM DEATH's record-setting shortest song "You Suffer" and playing it twice.

Milliband, who has been sitting in for Jeremy Vine on the radio show this week, told the listeners: "I'm now going to take my career into my hands, if it isn't already down the pan, and you're going to try to help me do a bit of this extreme metal."

"Force it up through the throat," was Greenway's advice, before Miliband produced something that sounded more like a shout than a growl. Greenway then commented: "No, no. More throat, definitely more throat."

NAPALM DEATH has been in existence since the early 1980s, with their sixteenth album, "Apex Predator - Easy Meat", released in January 2015.

The band's most successful album in the U.K. was "Utopia Banished", which was released in 1992 and reached No. 58 on the British album chart.

ARCH ENEMY: 'Will To Power' Album Artwork Unveiled

ARCH ENEMY: 'Will To Power' Album Artwork Unveiled

ARCH ENEMY will release its new album, "Will To Power", on September 8 via Century Media. The disc's captivating cover artwork, which cane be seen below, was designed by Alex Reisfar. ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott commented: "It was a pleasure working with Alex Reisfar on the 'Will To Power' cover artwork. He immediately grasped the concept and atmosphere we were looking for with this album.

"We talked about the double-edged sword that is human ambition, how it can be outstandingly creative and beautiful but can also be turned into something dark and powerful. Alex proceeded to masterfully paint a strong image that evokes a lot of feelings.

"The human skull as a central focal point, the flesh sort of falling off into the circular pattern. The snake ouroboros weaving in and out of the mouths and throats of the severed heads of a wolf, a goat and a vampire bat... All representing self determination and a predatory, almost parasitic will to power." Co-produced by Amott and drummer Daniel Erlandsson, "Will To Power" was mixed and mastered by longtime collaborator and friend Jens Bogren (OPETH, AT THE GATES, DIMMU BORGIR).

"Will To Power" will mark the second ARCH ENEMY album since the departure of longtime singer Angela Gossow and addition of her replacement, former THE AGONIST frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz. It will also be the first ARCH ENEMY disc to feature guitarist Jeff Loomis (ex-NEVERMORE), who joined the band in late 2014.

ARCH ENEMY bassist Sharlee D'Angelo recently told Metal Wani about the band's upcoming follow-up to 2014's "War Eternal": "On 'War Eternal', there was a certain desperation about that album. But I still can feel it when I listen to it, maybe because I was involved in it. Having lost a longtime, very important member of the band and introducing someone else, a new face into the band, and you wonder, that's even more, like, 'Okay, we have a new album. I wonder what people will like about it, or if they will like it at all.' There's a few nerves there. In the process of recording that album, writing and recording, there was so much going into… There's something desperate and very dense about that album. Now, we know we did it. We're still here; people have accepted the change and embraced Alissa and everything as well. Things are better than they were before, so now you have a completely different vantage point and starting point, for that matter."

He continued: "This album is a bit more open in that sense. It sounds more open and some of the songs I would say, dare I use the word 'epic'. [Laughs] It's different, yes, we can do a lot more now than we could… We just don't have to cram as much metal as possible in the most sort of 'energetic' way. We can do it in other ways as well. Don't be scared, I'm not saying everything will be slow; that's not what is happening. It's extremely ARCH ENEMY, but within what it is ARCH ENEMY, we have gone out to explore new worlds. It will be some of the same and also some new stuff."

Amott told Rock Hard magazine in January that Loomis — who was the main songwriter in his former band NEVERMORE — has not contributed to the songwriting on the group's new disc.

Back in December, Loomis told Metal Wani that he would "probably just be doing solos" on ARCH ENEMY's upcoming album. He explained: "If you look at it, ARCH ENEMY is Michael Amott — it's his band, it's his baby, and he is the main songwriter in the band. I did submit a few songs, and I don't know if they'll make it or not. But I definitely will be playing solos on it."

He continued: "I love being in the band. I am fan of the band. I love the music, and I love playing in front of thousands of people with that band. But we'll see what happens. It's kind of the same thing if you can think the same way with NEVERMORE; me and Warrel [Dane, vocals] were the main writers in that band, and we had a revolving door of guitar players. But pretty much, it was me and Warrel that did a lot of it. Steve Smyth wrote a little bit, Tim Calvert wrote for 'Dreaming Neon Black', but most of it, eighty percent, was me and Warrel. So each band has their own chemistry and their way of doing things." Having performed over 200 shows in more than 40 countries in support of their previous effort, ARCH ENEMY will continue fervently bringing their show to ever-growing audiences worldwide across the European festival market this summer. They are also excited to announce the first leg of their international "Will To Power Tour 2017" which will take place from September 15 through October 11 across Eastern Europe and will feature special guests JINJER.

ARCH ENEMY's "As The Stages Burn!" DVD was released on March 31 via Century Media. The set contains video footage of the band's largest stage production to date from their performance last summer at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany.

LIONHEART Feat. Ex-IRON MAIDEN Guitarist DENNIS STRATTON: 'Second Nature' Album Due In August

LIONHEART Feat. Ex-IRON MAIDEN Guitarist DENNIS STRATTON: 'Second Nature' Album Due In August

After a successful performance at Sweden Rock Festival two weeks ago, '80s U.K. melodic rock/NWOBHM band LIONHEART will release its second album, "Second Nature", in Europe on August 25 via AOR Heaven.

LIONHEART was formed in late 1980 by Dennis Stratton (lead guitar/backing vocals, ex-IRON MAIDEN), Jess Cox (lead vocals, ex-TYGERS OF PAN TANG), Steve Mann (lead guitar/backing vocals, ex-LIAR), Rocky Newton (bass guitar/backing vocals, ex-WILDFIRE) and Frank Noon (drums, ex-DEF LEPPARD). The band began playing gigs, including regular shows at London's Marquee Club, but had problems maintaining a consistent lineup. The core personnel of Dennis, Steve and Rocky remained but various singers passed through the band, including Rueben Archer, John Farlham and Bob Hawthorn. They eventually settled as a four-piece, with Dennis and Rocky sharing lead-vocal duties. The drummer's stool was variously occupied by Les Binks (ex-JUDAS PRIEST), Nicko McBrain (ex-TRUST and subsequently IRON MAIDEN) and Clive Edwards (ex-WILD HORSES).

Between 1981 and 1984, LIONHEART played regular live shows and filled the support slot for tours by both DEF LEPPARD and WHITESNAKE. In between gigs, they spent many hours writing and recording demos of new songs while searching for a record deal. It wasn't until 1984 that CBS in the USA offered them a contract, by which time they had recruited Chad Brown on lead vocals. They flew over to Los Angeles in March 1984 to record their debut album, "Hot Tonight", with Kevin Beamish in the production chair and session man Bob Jenkins, who had previously worked with Leo Sayer and Kiki Dee, on drums. The album was recorded at the legendary Sound City Studios in Van Nuys and mixed at Kendun Recorders.

Upon their return to the England, LIONHEART recorded a high-budget video for the single "Die For Love". The late comic genius Rik Mayall played the part of the mad professor, which in later years achieved cult status on YouTube due in part to the wonderfully wooden acting of the band! Unfortunately, planned U.K. tours as support to KANSAS and FOREIGNER were canceled at the last moment. Promotion of the album suffered and LIONHEART found themselves in limbo. Chad Brown left the band in 1985 to be replaced by Keith Murrell, with Toby Sadler coming in on keyboards. More demos were recorded with the new lineup, but, unfortunately, the momentum had been lost and the band eventually broke up. Rocky went on to record backing vocals on two DEF LEPPARD albums and join Michael Schenker with Steve, while Dennis spent 15 years with PRAYING MANTIS.

In 2016, Dave Herron, promoter of the Rockingham festival in Nottingham, asked LIONHEART to reunite for one performance and all original members, apart from Chad Brown, did so. The reunion created quite a stir, not least within the band itself, and it was decided to carry on with the subsequent recording of a new album followed by an acclaimed appearance at Sweden Rock.

The new record, "Second Nature", was created between November 2016 and May 2017 and was produced, engineered and mastered by Steve Mann in his own studio in Hannover. A mini tour of Japan with PRAYING MANTIS was scheduled for June/July, with further U.K. shows with AIRRACE in November/December.

LIONHEART is:

BROKEN TEETH Release “Never Dead” Video

BROKEN TEETH Release “Never Dead” Video

Broken Teeth, led by former Dangerous Toys frontman Jason McMaster, have released a video for "Never Dead", taken off the new album 4 On The Floor, released April 21st via EMP Label Group.

Twenty years after seizing power in Austin, Texas, rock-roll battering squad Broken Teeth throw it's hardest punch ever after signing with Megadeth bassist David Ellefson and former Corporate Punishment President Thom Hazaert at their powerhouse EMP Label Group.

"I've had my eyes and ears on Broken Teeth for a few years now and have a history with singer Jason McMaster," Ellefson said. "It was only a matter of time until I found a way to partner with them. Given their reputation as a crushing live act, along with their previous string of classic, underground hard-rock albums, I couldn't be more proud to welcome Broken Teeth to the EMP family and help them share their music with an even wider audience."

Once described as "a pissed-off AC/DC," Broken Teeth has evolved into a hard-rock / heavy metal bomb blast built on the swaggering boogie of bad-boy blues. Not surprisingly, 4 On The Floor continues the band's gritty legacy with odes to the rebellious, forbidden love of rock-n-roll (the slow-stomping "Sinful"); standing proud as a loner (the riotous burner, "House Of Damnation"); life on the rock-n-roll highway to hell (the bluesy shuffle of "Borrowed Time"); and the ultimate salute to legendary Motorhead mainman, Lemmy Kilmister (the appropriately rollicking "Never Dead", which was written before Lemmy's passing). "We don't really do tributes, but Lemmy and the kind of rock-n-roll he did is what we're all about," said Broken Teeth guitarist Jared Tuten. "It just felt right for Broken Teeth to immortalize him forever."

"4 On The Floor" video:

Broken Teeth is:

Jason McMaster - vocals
Jared Tuten - guitar
Bruce Rivers - drums
David Beeson - guitar
Robb Lampman - bass

VIO-LENCE Singer SEAN KILLIAN Diagnosed With Stage 4 Liver Cirrhosis

VIO-LENCE Singer SEAN KILLIAN Diagnosed With Stage 4 Liver Cirrhosis

Sean Killian, vocalist for influential San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal band VIO-LENCE, has been diagnosed with stage 4 liver cirrhosis.

The news of Sean's medical condition was revealed by his wife, Dana Rivero Killian, during last night's (Monday, June 19) appearance on the "Thrash Zone" radio show.

She told "Thrash Zone" host Billy Boldt (hear audio below): "My husband Sean is very, very ill. He has, I guess what they call, endstage or the last stage it could possibly be at, liver disease, which is cirrhosis of the liver. And right now, his only cure is obtaining a new liver.

"This all came on real suddenly and real fast — within the past year — and it's a tremendous blow on our family, financially and emotionally, and just… as you can imagine, crazy to hear stuff like this. Luckily, he was accepted into the UCSF [Liver] Transplant Program over at the [UCSF] Medical Center there in San Francisco, which is one of, if not the, leading transplant centers in the nation with, I think — I don't wanna quote exactly — but I believe they have the highest success rate. So we're really [glad] that he got into that program. And right now, as he stands now, he is eligible for a live donor transplant."

Live Donor Liver Transplantation (LDLT) is a procedure in which a live donor gives a portion of his or her liver to a family member or friend in need of a liver transplant. "What that means is a person who is a match doesn't have to be a family member [because] family members are no more likely to be a match than any random person," Dana said. "I know a lot of people think that, because of genetics, that's the case, but it really isn't. So what that means is a person who says, 'Yeah, I'll donate a portion of my liver,' what that person does is goes through a questionnaire, which is an online questionnaire through UCSF, and then, of course, they determine whether they're a match, and then if they are, then they go through all the education and counseling and all that. And should they find it in the kindness of their heart to donate a portion of their liver, we — meaning Sean and our family — we'd take on the burden and responsibility of that cost. It is no cost to the donor, of course; they are doing us a big favor."

The final stage of cirrhosis of liver is considered as the most dreaded phase of the condition. If the patient is diagnosed during this stage, the life expectancy of the sufferer — without a liver transplant — is said to be one year to three years.

"We need to get the ball rolling with this, because there is no cure except for a new liver," Dana said. "And the longer he goes without one, the more his body just continues to deteriorate. And while they're keeping him comfortable, treating his symptoms, Sean's doing real good. We're doing everything he needs to do to maximize longevity. The bottom line is a new liver."

She continued: "I don't have a date at what point does he no longer qualify for this, but I would say, from what I understand, about a year is about the time frame, and once that year has gone by and if we haven't found a viable donor liver, then his next step is just to be on the wait list with UNOS, which is the [United Network for Organ Sharing]. They are the people in charge of those transplant lists and who gets the livers and where they go and all that and all that stuff that goes with it. So if that happens to be the case and he ends up on that list, it's really just a waiting game — it really is — and there's nothing we can do. There's no cure. Like I said, the cure is a new liver."

According to Dana, Sean's cirrhosis was brought on by years of heavy drinking. "And I've gotta tell you, listeners out there, you young kids, let this be a lesson to you," she said. "Just simmer down on the liquor, because you will have problems, and you don't wanna be where Sean is. It's horrible."

Dana went on to say that this was the first time she was speaking out publicly about Sean's illness, although a number of his friends and family members are aware of his condition and have visited him in the hospital. "It is hard to look at him," she said. "He is very, very sick. So you see, in front of you, a person who has no muscle mass, no body fat — just a skeleton with skin. And the hardest part for him is a condition called ascites, where the liver cannot process any kind of fluid, and so it just accumulates in his abdomen, like a helium balloon. And it just slowly, slowly, slowly keeps going up to like he's gonna pop. So every two weeks or so, he has to go in and have that drained. And the last time he had that drained a couple of days ago, they took thirteen liters of fluid from his abdomen. So you can imagine how painful and uncomfortable that is."

In addition to Killian, VIO-LENCE's classic lineup included guitarists Phil Demmel and Robb Flynn, both of whom are now in MACHINE HEAD.

Megaforce Records reissued VIO-LENCE's classic debut album, "Eternal Nightmare", with a live bonus CD in June 2005. The bonus disc was recorded on December 14, 2001 at Slim's in San Francisco.

VIO-LENCE's lineup on "Eternal Nightmare" consisted of Killian, Flynn, Demmel, bassist Deen Dell and drummer Perry Strickland.

Former VICIOUS RUMORS Vocalist's PROJECT TERROR Changes Name To HEAVEN SENT

Project Terror, featuring ex-Vicious Rumors vocalist Ronnie Stixx, has checked in with the following update:

"We have decided to make a conscious decision to distance ourselves from the word terror or any misunderstanding surrounding the name Project Terror. The band does not in any way shape or form support terrorism. Heaven Sent is all about the right to rock, raising your fist, banging your head, drinking beer, and having a good time.

Currently, the new album is taking shape and will soon be done tracking some time mid-September or October, with a really cool style and direction this time around. The title of the release is called I'm A Different Kind Of Psycho."

Track listing:

CASTLE Announce Endless Graveyard Fall Tour; “Black Widow” Video Released

Newly relocated to the Mojave Desert where writing for a fifth full-length is currently underway, occult rock alchemists Castle will be taking a break from conjuring the as-of-yet untitled album, to take on another round of live takeovers.

The perpetually road-bound unit will take to the streets later this month on the previously announced Stormbringer trek which will run from June 30th in West Hollywood, California through July 9th in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band will play three more shows the following month before kicking off the Endless Graveyard tour set to commence on September 7th in Riverside, California and come to a close on September 30th in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Castle will make some festivals stops throughout their upcoming journeys including performances at the Fire In The Mountains in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Tour Of The Doomed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Shadow Woods Metal Fest in White Hall, Maryland, and the Stoned Meadow Of Doom Fest in Omaha, Nebraska. Since the release of their most recent offering, Welcome To The Graveyard, issued last summer via Ván Records, Castle's massive 170-date world takeover has included tours of the US, Europe, Canada, and the band's first ever tour of Japan last December. See all confirmed dates below.

MUTATION Featuring THE WILDHEARTS’ Ginger Wildheart Release “Hate” Video

MUTATION Featuring THE WILDHEARTS’ Ginger Wildheart Release “Hate” Video

Mutation is a UK-based extreme metal band formed in 2013 by celebrated vocalist / guitarist Ginger Wildheart, one of British rock’s official living legends and the man behind the rock group The Wildhearts. The underground three-piece will release its new album, Mutation III: Dark Black, on June 30th via Undergroove Records. New video for the track “Hate” is streaming below.

“Generally speaking, these songs tackle issues that we're still processing ourselves,” says Ginger. “Anger, disgust in people, frustration at the collapse of human conscience and hatred of the gullible element that makes up society. Basically, wanting to kill but being unable to, due to the strict penalties involved. In Mutation, we are able to vent these feelings and no one can tell us that it's too fucked up. They can only tell us that we're too fucked up, which we already know, and have the prescriptions to prove it.”

In addition to Ginger, Mutation also features bassist Scott Lee Andrews (Exit International) and longtime Ginger Wildheart Band drummer Denzel. Just as Mutation's past releases -- including the band's 2013 debut, The Frankenstein Effect -- featured an ignominious cast of characters including everyone from Napalm Death and Japanoise noise icon Merzbow, Mutation III: Dark Black boasts a dazzling array of guest contributions from a slew of similarly-demented human beings, including prog metal superstar Devin Townsend, Phil Campbell from Motörhead, Arthur Shepherd of Primitive Weapons, ex-Cardiacs fruitloop Random Jon Poole, Jamie Oliver of UK Subs, Mauro Pawlowski (ex-dEUS) and Paul Catten (Barrabas, ex-Medulla Nocte).

Iceland’s BENEATH Announce Ephemeris Album; New Track Streaming

Iceland’s BENEATH Announce Ephemeris Album; New Track Streaming

Ephemeris is the third full length release from Icelandic death metal titans, Beneath. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Fredrik Nordström (Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, At The Gates), at the acclaimed Studio Fredman in the fall of 2016. After the departure of founding member and drummer Ragnar Sverrison, Beneath teamed up with Mike Heller (Malignancy, Control/Resist, Fear Factory) to handle the drums for the album. The result is nine tracks of relentless brutality; an odyssey through the forthcoming millenniums of exponential colonization of planets and galaxies by human induced technology; a world where technology has gone way beyond the frontier of the imagination.

Commented vocalist Benedikt Natanael Bjarnason, "We are immensely proud to announce the release of our third full-length album Ephemeris. We teamed up with Mike Heller to provide session drums for the nine-track album which adds a whole new dimension to the soundscape of Beneath. Make sure to not miss the release date on August 18th!"

Guitarist Jóhann Ingi Sigurðsson adds, "Ephemeris has been a demanding album for us personally and in many ways, it represents a turning point for the band. We've always pushed ourselves in ways that keep us invested and engaged in our music, and on this album, that meant making big changes to our overall sound. There are songs that are a marriage of pure heaviness and brutality, while on the other spectrum there are some very challenging technical arrangements pushing the limits of our playing abilities. In the end, we ended up with an album that feels musically multidimensional and that we are extremely proud of."

Ephemeris will be released on August 18th via Unique Leader Records. Check out opening track "Constellational Transformation" below.

BARDSPEC Featuring ENSLAVED Guitarist IVAR BJORNSON Streaming Hydrogen Album Ahead Of Friday’s Official Release

BARDSPEC Featuring ENSLAVED Guitarist IVAR BJORNSON Streaming Hydrogen Album Ahead Of Friday’s Official Release

This Friday, By Norse will release the debut album, Hydrogen, from BardSpec, the ambient project/band featuring Enslaved composer/guitarist Ivar Bjørnson and Today Is The Day's Steve Austin. An advanced album stream can be found below.

Hydrogen will be released on June 23rd across all formats. The six-panel CD digipak is available as a limited first pressing of 1,000 and includes bonus track "Teeth”. The double-gatefold LP is limited to 500 on black vinyl; the digital format will also include the bonus track. Access the "Fire Tongue" radio edits now via iTunes and Apple Music.

Pre-orders for the the limited CD, LP, and shirt are available at the following locations: North America, Europe.

Having launched at Roadburn in 2015, BardSpec has since evolved into a fully-fledged band, with Steve Austin on guitars/effects, David Hall presenting the live visual aspect of the project, with the layout created by Josh Graham (Soundgarden, Neurosis, IIVII, etc.).

BardSpec combines stirring, hallucinatory synth-sounds with mercurial guitar effects and hypnotic rhythms that navigate illusory landscapes. Field recordings, and other found-sounds also drift and evaporate into the ether. Working intuitively with these elements and with sharpened senses, attuned to inner impulses, this is immersive music that can exist anywhere and anytime within the minds of the listener.

Whilst BardSpec might essentially be the same brain and personality making the music, compared to Enslaved, it is a widely different entity. Thematically and sonically, BardSpec is about minimizing, subtracting, and meditating upon the simplest essence of "things;" the single points exemplified through song titles like "Bone," "Salt," and so on, the basic elements and foundations that make up the whole. There is an element of "space" in the music and the artwork, as a representation of the inner workings of the mind and the subconscious.

Inspired by the German masters Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schultze, and Conrad Schnitzler in addition to contemporary ambient music like Norwegian one-man-band Biosphere and abstract modern electronic music like When (Norwegian also), as well as the electronic/industrial-driven metal like Godflesh. Ivar describes the appeal and trance-inducing aspects of such music to him, "I remember listening to Richard Burmer and his album Mosaic from 1984. I thought I fell asleep but I was in a semi-lucid state where I still registered music - but not much else. At the end of side A there's an explosion so violent and extreme that I jumped two feet into the air and was totally shocked. The weird thing is, I couldn't remember it being there. When I revisited the music again it was just a little 'thud.' I was just experiencing a trance so deep into the music that this deviation from the pattern and frequencies in the foregoing half hour of monotony totally shocked me. I loved it!"

EXECRATION Streaming New Single “Eternal Recurrence”

EXECRATION Streaming New Single “Eternal Recurrence”

On July 14th, Norwegian death metallers Execration will release their new album, Return To The Void, via Metal Blade Records. Pre-order for the album on digi-CD and vinyl.

Today the band premieres a new song taken off Return To The Void. The album opener “Eternal Recurrence” can be heard below.

Comments the band: “”Eternal Recurrence” is the first track off Return To The Void, it will grab hold of you and throw you into space, drag you back down to earth and take you on a journey through ancient caves and deep into the graveyard of your inner mind. The song was one of the first written for 'Return To The Void', and it set the stage for the rest of the song writing for the album."

"Coming off of two double 12" vinyl albums, the first clear goal for writing Return To The Void was to deliver the same kind of dynamic and shifting song-writing in a more condensed to-the-point package", comments Execration. Stripping songs down to their essential core has been a driving force while writing, and it shows - there is not a wasted moment on the album. Ticking it at 42 minutes - a perfect fit for the vinyl format - the album takes the listener through a whirlwind of thrash, death, black, and even heavy metal, fast and slow parts, and the trademark Execration shifts in mood, tempo, and atmosphere.

"As with the previous two albums, we wanted to capture the feel of a live performance, so all the basic tracks (drums, guitars, bass) were recorded live in our rehearsal studio in Oslo over the course of a weekend. Vocals, synths, and various effects where recorded the following weeks with assistance from Andreas Tylden (One Tail, One Head / Altaar). The album was then mixed and mastered by Tom Kvålsvoll of Kvålsonic Labs."

Thematically, the album takes off into outer space, the world of dreams, and philosophic musings on time and space. The album's seven songs and two instrumental tracks are permeated with the mysteries of the universe, both in lyrical content and concept, and in the music itself. This theme is further brought to life by the magnificent art of Zbigniew M. Bielak that adorns the front cover.

Return To The Void tracklisting:

“Eternal Recurrence”
“Hammers Of Vulcan”
“Nekrocosm”
“Cephalic Transmissions”
“Blood Moon Eclipse”
“Unicursal Horrorscope”
“Through The Oculus”
“Return To The Void”
“Det Uransakelige Dyp”

CLOAKROOM To Release Time Well Album In August; “Seedless Star” Music Video Streaming

CLOAKROOM To Release Time Well Album In August; “Seedless Star” Music Video Streaming

Northwest Indiana’s Cloakroom have announced that their second album, Time Well, is set for an August 18th release on CD/2xLP/Digital formats, marking the band’s debut for Relapse Records. A video for the album track “Seedless Star” is available for streaming below.

Grandiose and deeply insular, Time Well is a work that transcends simple genre descriptors as the trio prove dually capable of conjuring lumbering walls of sound as well as forlorn Americana (as predicted by a recent Songs: Ohia cover the band posted to Bandcamp). Cloakroom occupies a space between worlds, crafting its unique brand of thoughtfully heavy music, something Relapse has long specialized in.

Time Well will be released worldwide August 18th on CD/2xLP/Digital via Relapse Records. Physical pre-orders and exclusive bundles are currently available via Relapse.com at this location and digital pre-orders are available via Bandcamp here.

For the new album, the trio (consisting of vocalist-guitarist Doyle Martin, bassist Robert Markos, and drummer Brian Busch) opted to explore their shared creative space by building their own studio, transforming their practice space into a sonic laboratory in which they could immerse themselves in every aspect of the creative process. Once the studio had completed its transition it became a workspace that was essential to the creation of Time Well, sheltering the band from the outside world as they immersed themselves in the songs and pushed sounds to their furthest limits.

“We could work at all hours of the night and pick up where we left off days later,“ said Doyle Martin. “We vaulted the ceiling, amassed some gear with a little help from Relapse, and, after laying a rat's nest of cables through the place, we started to record.”

Cloakroom first materialized back in 2012 with a couple songs that appeared on a Bandcamp page with the succinct description: “Cloakroom consists of three factory workers from the Region.” As far as biographies go it’s about as terse as they come, but it conveys simple facts that speak to greater truths. Cloakroom is still a trio and still resides in the Region, a unique amalgam of cities and towns in Northwest Indiana that’s equal parts industrial and rural, a sense of space that leaves a distinctive sonic imprint across all the band’s recorded works. With Time Well, Cloakroom shows itself untethered from the present moment. It’s a record that’s flanked by contradictory ideas that are always running parallel; growth begets destruction begets death. It’s an unending cycle, and Time Well is the soundtrack to that unending, awe-inspiring momentum.

Time Well tracklisting:

“Gone But Not Entirely”
“Big World”
“Concrete Gallery”
“Seedless Star”
“Sickle Moon Blues”
“Hymnal”
“The Sun Won’t Less Us Go”
“Time Well”
“52Hz Whale”

DECAPITATED: 'Earth Scar' Video Released

DECAPITATED: 'Earth Scar' Video Released

Polish metal extremists DECAPITATED have released a music video for "Earth Scar", a track from their seventh album, "Anticult", due on July 7 via Nuclear Blast.

"We're really excited to release the second song from our upcoming new record 'Anticult' — 'Earth Scar'!" said DECAPITATED guitarist and founding member Waclaw "Vogg" Kieltyka. "I have always drawn influence from all spectrums of metal and this song and our new record really reflect those influences.

"Much like 'Never', this song has been designed to crush on a stage and we can't wait to add it to our set. [Vocalist] Rasta [a.k.a. Rafał Piotrowski] wrote the lyrics with a lot of metaphorical content dealing with touring. The opposing lifestyles from the 'normal,' day-to-day of being at home vs. being on the road and seeing our 'tribe' interacting with the music and the almost restorative qualities of that. We hope you all enjoy it and we can't wait to see you all very soon!"

"Anticult" track listing:

01. Impulse02. Deathvaluation03. Kill The Cult04. One-Eyed Nation05. Anger Line06. Earth Scar07. Never08. Amen

DECAPITATED's sixth album, "Blood Mantra", was released in September 2014 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2011's "Carnival Is Forever" was recorded at Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland with producers Wojtek and Slawek Wiesawski.

BEHEMOTH Frontman: 'The Civilized World Is At War With Radical Islamists'

BEHEMOTH Frontman: 'The Civilized World Is At War With Radical Islamists'

BEHEMOTH frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski was forced to miss a performance by one of his favorite artists, RAMMSTEIN, at Germany's Rock Am Ring after police had to evacuate the festival site because of a "potential terrorist threat."

When asked by Conny Schiffbauer of WDR's "Rockpalast" if he is alarmed by increased threat of a terror attack on a rock concert, Nergal said: "Well, I don't really see it in these categories. I mean, we're all gonna die sooner or later, and I definitely don't wanna die, so all the prevention is very much needed and I support that. So as much as I'm disappointed that I couldn't see one of my favorite bands, I think all that had to happen happened, and that sucks. But security comes first and health comes first. I mean, this is the times we live in and we have to learn how to deal with that. We should do something about it, you know what I mean? Just use some effective tools to stop that kind of stuff. I don't know… I'm not a politician. I don't know what. But I wish this will stop soon, which is probably just wishful thinking, because we are at war, Europe is at war, the civilized world is at war with radical Islamists, and that's a fact."

Regarding whether he gets inspiration for his lyrics from global terrorism, Nergal said: "Well, it maybe adds — it's an extra brick in this wall called frustration that us artists need to release somehow. So writing helps get some of these emotions out. I cannot really say that particularly the terrorist topic is something that occupies my brain, but it definitely has an influence this way or another."

BEHEMOTH is contuining work on the follow-up to 2014's "The Satanist" album for a tentative fall 2018 release.

The band last year completed a North American tour where the band played "The Satanist" in its entirety.

"The Satanist" sold around 10,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 34 on The Billboard 200 chart.

COREY TAYLOR On Performing Live: 'I Don't Get Nervous, But I Get Anxious'

COREY TAYLOR On Performing Live: 'I Don't Get Nervous, But I Get Anxious'

In a brand new interview with Germany's Metal Hammer magazine, SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor was asked if he suffers from stage fright. He responded (see video below): "No. [Laughs] You know, the funny thing is I still get anxious before shows. I don't get nervous, but I get anxious. I'm excited to just get out there. I just love performing for people. I think the only time I've really had that [stage fright] was my very first show — my first real show — with STONE SOUR. It was '92. 'Cause before I had done little gigs here and there, but there was nobody there, so it didn't really matter. With STONE SOUR at the time, I was not only singing, but I was playing guitar and playing lead. So I was kind of like [doing] triple duty and super nervous about it. So I didn't know to bring water with me on stage — I did whatever — so my throat got super dry and I was cracking all over the place. It was brutal. But by the end of it, it was cool. We had such a great time that I had the bug, man. I was, like, 'We've gotta do this.' We got a new lead guitar player, so I could just sing and play guitar if I needed to. And that was. And then the rest is history."

STONE SOUR's new album, "Hydrograd", will be released on June 30 via Roadrunner. The disc was recorded at Sphere Studios in North Hollywood, California with producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with ANTHRAX and STEEL PANTHER.

The band tracked the album live in the studio, cutting a total of 18 songs from which 15 will make the CD.

STONE SOUR will be special guests of KORN on the latter act's "Serenity Of Summer" trek, which starts on June 16 in Salt Lake City and wraps on August 2 in Cleveland.

TIM 'RIPPER' OWENS: 'I Won't Be Working With GEOFF TATE Again'

TIM 'RIPPER' OWENS: 'I Won't Be Working With GEOFF TATE Again'

Tim "Ripper" Owens says that he won't work with Geoff Tate again, a little over six months after he collaborated with the former QUEENSRŸCHE frontman and ex-IRON MAIDEN singer Blaze Bayley on the "Trinity" tour.

The trek, which consisted of a handful of U.S. dates in November, saw the three powerhouse vocalists perform music from their respective groups while backed by Tate's OPERATION: MINDCRIME bandmates.

Speaking to Metal Express Radio on June 1 in Newcastle, England, the former JUDAS PRIEST frontman stated about the experience of sharing the stage with Tate and Bayley: "It was a lot fun, you know. It was a lot of fun — we laughed a lot and had a good time. Unfortunately, I won't be working with Geoff Tate again. So we'll leave it at that. But I will be working with Blaze Bayley."

Owens went on to say that he, Tate and Bayley "had an absolute blast doing" the "Trinity" tour. He explained: "We laughed. We [got to] sing the song we recorded together and then Geoff would sing three [tracks], Blaze would sing three, I would sing a few, and then all of us would come out and I'd play guitar and sing and we'd do [JUDAS PRIEST's classic song] 'Living After Midnight'. It was a really fun tour."

Even though there were plans to take the "Trinity" tour "everywhere," the trek was "short-lived," according to Owens. He added: "They still might [take it to other parts of the world], but just not with me."

Tate, Owens and Bayley originally joined forces to perform on the track "Taking On The World" from Geoff's OPERATION: MINDCRIME project and also appear in the accompanying music video. Tate later told Rockin' Metal Revival: "We hooked up and had just a great time singing on this particular song. As we were working on it, we started talking about, 'Wouldn't it be fun to maybe tour together at some point?' We loved the idea until we started to put together our schedules, which are crazy. We're all going at different places, different times, so the only time we could get all three of us in the same country was around Thanksgiving in the northeastern part of America."

Tate went on to describe "Trinity" as "just three people who get along famously and have a lot of laughs… I think probably the coolest thing about it is that we have a lot of fun doing it."

RAMMSTEIN Guitarist: Being In A Band Is Like 'A Marriage Without Sex'

RAMMSTEIN Guitarist: Being In A Band Is Like 'A Marriage Without Sex'

In a brand new interview with Belgium's Studio Brussel conducted at this past weekend's Graspop Metal Meeting, RAMMSTEIN guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe was asked what the band's secret is for keeping its lineup intact for more than two decades. "Talking," he responded (see video below). "Group talking. And we have, like… Once a week, we [go to] a psychiatrist and we talk about problems and how to deal with our problems, how to solve those problems. You really have to work on that; otherwise, you're not gonna make it. It's like a relationship. It's a marriage without sex, and that's a problem. Sex can solve a lot of problems. So with us, it's different — we need talking, even more than other couples."

"Paris", the new concert DVD and Blu-ray from RAMMSTEIN, was released on May 19. The set was recorded in March 2012 at the then-named Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in Paris (now AccorHotels Arena) during RAMMSTEIN's "Made In Germany" tour, and was helmed by the band's longtime collaborator, Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund. Åkerlund has also worked with METALLICA, SATYRICON, MADONNA and THE PRODIGY, among others.

RAMMSTEIN hasn't made a new CD since 2009's "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da".

Corey Taylor has fired back at Chad Kroeger, calling the NICKELBACK frontman "an idiot" who's "got a face like a foot."

Kroeger slammed STONE SOUR in a recent interview, calling the Taylor-fronted group "NICKELBACK Lite" and challenging Corey to "write a hit song." Speaking with Sweden's Metal Covenant, Kroeger started out by telling the site: "I can't think of another band that's as diverse as we are. I can't. And I don't think that's me talking from pride or ego. I mean, you're sitting across the table. You know what you're talking about."

When STONE SOUR was cited as an example of a musically diverse act, Kroeger shot back: "Yeah, 'cause they're trying to be NICKELBACK. Corey Taylor has said some really nasty things about me before in the press. He talks about how easy it is to write a hit song. Well, show me. Show me. Write one. I have yet to hear one. They're okay. But they're not as good as NICKELBACK. They sound like 'NICKELBACK Lite.'"

Kroeger went on to point out that NICKELBACK and Taylor's other band, SLIPKNOT, launched their respective careers while signed to the same label (Roadrunner). He added: "They had to put on masks and jump around. How good can your music be if you've gotta beat each other up on stage, throw up in your own masks every night…? I mean, music shouldn't come with a gimmick; music should just be music. None of my favorite music comes with a gimmick. And he got tired of sitting behind a mask — he wanted people to know what he looks like — so he started STONE SOUR."

During yesterday's (Monday, June 19) in-studio appearance on the Arizona radio station KUPD, Corey addressed Kroeger's comments, beginning with the NICKELBACK singer's claim that Taylor once said composing a hit song didn't require much effort.

"You know what? I've never said it was easy to write a hit song," Corey said. "I don't know what the hell planet he's living on. Apparently it's Planet Kroeger, and there must be good weed there, 'cause he's an idiot."

Taylor added that he was "so cued up to say some stuff" about Chad but then he "just started reading all the comments online" in response to Kroeger's words about STONE SOUR and SLIPKNOT. "I don't have to say a damn thing — he is not a liked person," Corey said. "That's all we have to say about it."

Taylor also took issue with Chad's statement that SLIPKNOT "had to put on masks and jump around" as a gimmick to sell records and concert tickets. Directing his comments at Kroeger, Corey said: "You can run your mouth all you want. All I know is I've been voted 'Sexiest Dude In Rock' wearing a mask. You've been voted 'Ugliest Dude In Rock' twice without one. Stick that up your ass."

The STONE SOUR and SLIPKNOT singer stressed that he has no issues with any of the other members of NICKELBACK. "I love Mike [Kroeger, NICKELBACK bassist and Chad's brother], I love… Everybody else in that band I'm very, very cool with; I've hung out with them. It's just 'Face Like A Foot' who I can't really hang out with. He's got a face like a foot. Am I wrong?"

He added: "See, that's the hard thing: I can't even say anything about the band, NICKELBACK, because none of 'em have an issue with us. It's him. So, dude, curl up in bed with your Hello Kitty pillow and shut up."

Taylor also repeated some of the comments he made a decade and a half ago when he seemed to suggest in an interview that Roadrunner was spending more time and resources promoting NICKELBACK than they were getting behind SLIPKNOT. "Let's just say Roadrunner took all the SLIPKNOT money and gave it to NICKELBACK to sign them," Corey told KUPD. "That's all I'm gonna say about it."

During yesterday's chat, Taylor's STONE SOUR bandmate Josh Rand revealed that NICKELBACK actually asked STONE SOUR "a couple of months ago" to support them on their Canadian tour, an offer that "we declined," the guitarist said. Taylor added: "We did not acquiesce to the request. [Laughs]"

NICKELBACK's ninth album, "Feed The Machine", came out on Friday, June 16 via BMG.

STONE SOUR's new full-length effort, "Hydrograd", will be released on June 30 via Roadrunner Records.

THE 69 EYES Frontman Releases 'Bloodlust' Video Feat. Appearances By LEMMY, DIZZY REED, TRACII GUNS

THE 69 EYES Frontman Releases 'Bloodlust' Video Feat. Appearances By LEMMY, DIZZY REED, TRACII GUNS

Goth rock icon Jyrki 69, lead vocalist for Helsinki metal band THE 69 EYES, has released a video for his macabre new song "Bloodlust". The track is featured on his debut solo album, "Helsinki Vampire", which will be released on June 23 via Cleopatra Records. The "Bloodlust" clip includes film footage from the upcoming movie "Sunset Society", which will be released in spring 2018 and stars the late rock god and MOTÖRHEAD frontman Lemmy Kilmister. The video also features cameos by Dizzy Reed (GUNS N' ROSES), Tracii Guns (L.A. GUNS) and adult film legend Ron Jeremy, who also star in the forthcoming movie. "Sunset Society" is a film based on the iconic Sunset Strip about a pack of vampire rockers lead by Kilmister's character. Jyrki 69's portion of the music video for "Bloodlust" was filmed in Los Angeles at the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel. The music video was directed by Vicente and Fernando Cordero of Industralism Films. Speaking about the video with Rolling Stone, Jyrki 69 says: "'Bloodlust' is 'The Lost Boys' movie taken into modern day to the Sunset Strip. Aren't we all so glad to see that Lemmy's doing all right? He lives forever!" Adding on the personal impact of Kilmister, Jyrki 69 says: "MOTÖRHEAD is naturally always been more than just inspiration musically, it's a whole lifestyle which Lemmy symbolizes. Life suddenly has become harder without a new MOTÖRHEAD album or tour behind the corner. I met the man many times over the course of decades all over the world. Never bothered him at the Rainbow Bar & Grill! I'm proud to have the General still on board! I actually showed the video to Ron Jeremy (who's in it too) at the Rainbow Bar & Grill last weekend. He loved it!" "Helsinki Vampire" was produced, mixed, and mastered by longtime THE 69 EYES producer Johnny Lee Michaels. The record builds on the distinctive "goth n' roll" sound that THE 69 EYES honed over the course of a dozen albums while adding a more richly textured, darkly romantic atmosphere.

Reformed NITRO Taps Producer KANE CHURKO For Comeback Album

The reformed NITRO, featuring guitar virtuoso Michael Angelo Batio, vocalist Jim Gillette and LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler, has tapped producer Kane Churko (OZZY OSBOURNE, DISTURBED, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, IN THIS MOMENT, HELLYEAH, PAPA ROACH) to helm the band's comeback album. In addition to producing the disc, Churko will contribute his songwriting talents to the project.

"It's exciting to be part of NITRO's evolution and the opportunity to record a legendary vocalist such as Jim Gillette was not one I wanted to pass up," said Churko. "We've had a lot of fun working on new music together at The Hideout Recording Studio [in Las Vegas]. I really think it's going to please old and new fans alike. With such a phenomenal lineup, it should be evident that NITRO is back and ready to compete with the best of the best."

Joining Batio, Gillette and Adler on the new NITRO album will be bassist and five-time Grammy Award winner Victor Wooten.

A release date for the new NITRO album, currently being recorded, will be announced soon. The band plans to debut a single from the new record, along with a promotional video, in the coming weeks.

BLACK SABBATH's TONY IOMMI On Possible New Collaboration With TONY MARTIN: 'There's Nothing Set In Stone'

BLACK SABBATH's TONY IOMMI On Possible New Collaboration With TONY MARTIN: 'There's Nothing Set In Stone'

In a brand new interview with EonMusic conducted at this year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods event, Tony Iommi was asked about the possibility of a renewed collaboration with former BLACK SABBATH singer Tony Martin. "Yeah, Tony Martin said that," Iommi confirmed. "Is there a possibility that that might happen? There's a possibility to anything, really. There's nothing set in stone. I just spoke to him about maybe one day doing a couple of things, but I've spoke to a lot of people about that."

Iommi also said that he would like to see SABBATH's Tony Martin-era albums re-released. "Yes, absolutely," he said. "I'd like to get them reissued again, absolutely. I think they were good stuff that some people never even heard."

BLACK SABBATH released six albums with Tony Martin on vocals: "The Eternal Idol" (1987), "Headless Cross" (1989), "Tyr" (1990), "Cross Purposes" (1994), "Cross Purposes Live" (1995) and "Forbidden" (1995).

Martin told Metal Jacket Magazine last month that he would also be in favor of reissuing the albums from his era of BLACK SABBATH, featuring bonus material, including some new music. "It is definitely possible," he said. "I spoke to [Iommi] just a few weeks ago. He's bought a new house and he's building a new studio. He said he needs to set that up and get that all ready. But when he's ready, I'm happy to do it, and I know he wants to do it. And just the fact that he wants to do it, it's, like, 'Oh, yeah. That's cool.' [Laughs] 'That's cool.' 'Cause those albums have been deleted for a long time, and I think they could sound better. Especially 'Forbidden' — oooohhhh… I hate that. It was the end of my time with BLACK SABBATH, so it's so… When I listen to it now, I think how I could make it better. So if he gives me the chance, I would love to do that again. Yeah, the possibility is definitely there. If he doesn't die… [Laughs] But, yes, I'm happy to think that it will be sometime soon."

SABBATH finished its year-long "The End" farewell tour on February 4 in the band's hometown of Birmingham, England, closing out the quartet's groundbreaking 49-year career with an emotional 15-song set.

The band decided to make this tour its last because Iommi, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and is currently in remission, can no longer travel for extended amounts of time.

CHRIS CORNELL's Daughter Pays Touching Tribute To Her Father

CHRIS CORNELL's Daughter Pays Touching Tribute To Her Father

Chris Cornell's 12-year-old daughter Toni has paid touching tribute to her dad, calling the SOUNDGARDEN frontman "the best father in the whole wide world."

In a Facebook message posted one day after the international Father's Day, Toni wrote: "Let me start by saying how much I love you and how much you mean to me. You are my idol, someone I've always looked up to. You were always there for me. You pushed me forward every day, and you still do.

"Whenever I cry or feel like there's no way I can go on, I hear your voice, 'Don't sit worrying, peanut. Worry is a waste of time, I'm OK.'

"I always took what you said to heart. Probably because everything you said was so smart.

"Every time you came home from tour, you spent all your hours with us. No matter how tired you were, how many time zones you traveled, you were there for us.

"Whenever I was sick, you would take care of me. You would cuddle with me, hug me, kiss me. You didn't care about getting sick. You would stay up all night to make sure my fever went down. And if it didn't, you would wake me up and give me my medicine. I would open my eyes, see you, and feel better.

"I have so many memories with you but one of my favorite ones was earlier this year when I was jetlagged and we watched 'Purple Rain'. We were staying at the BHH and you came into my room when I was trying to find a movie to watch.

"'How about 'Purple Rain'?' you said. I always trusted your judgement. I put it on and immediately fell in love! We then got to your favorite song, 'The Beautiful Ones'.

"'This song is so special it doesn't even belong in a genre. When I was in my twenties, I saw this in the theatre and some guy started cracking up laughing at this scene and song. It got me really mad,' you said.

"I fell in love with the song too and listened to it on repeat.

"Our special connection was always the arts. Poems, books, music, writing. We both have a unconditional love for it.

"Who's going to introduce me to movies like 'Purple Rain' and songs like 'The Beautiful Ones' now?

"I'm hoping I will find some because you trained me so well.

I know you are still here, and the warmth I feel beneath the cold, is you.

"YOU ARE THE BEST FATHER IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. And I know, that if this wasn't an accident, you'd still be cuddling with me watching 'Purple Rain'.

"I love you and miss you so, Daddy. You deserve your own day to be celebrated because you are the best dad anyone could ever have. Happy Father's Day!

"Love, Your Baby Toni"

Cornell was pronounced dead on May 18 after being found unresponsive in his Detroit hotel room the previous night. SOUNDGARDEN had played a show earlier that evening.

The 52-year-old had sedatives and an anxiety drug in his system on the night he died by hanging himself. According to a completed toxicology report released by Michigan's Wayne County Medical Examiner, the drugs didn't contribute to the cause of death.

In a statement issued following the release of the report, Cornell's wife Vicky said: "Many of us who know Chris well noticed that he wasn't himself during his final hours and that something was very off. We have learned from this report that several substances were found in his system. After so many years of sobriety, this moment of terrible judgment seems to have completely impaired and altered his state of mind. Something clearly went terribly wrong and my children and I are heartbroken and are devastated that this moment can never be taken back."

Vicky Cornell had previously questioned the medical examiner's conclusion that her husband committed suicide.

Chris is survived by Vicky and three children: Toni, a son named Christopher and a daughter named Lillian from his previous marriage to former SOUNDGARDEN manager Susan Silver.

Chris was laid to rest on May 26 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.

Daddy,

Let me start by saying how much I love you and how much you mean to me. You are my idol, someone I’ve always...
