DE LA TIERRA Feat. SEPULTURA's ANDREAS KISSER: Listen To New Song 'Valor Interior'"Valor Interior", a brand new song from the Latin American metal group DE LA TIERRA, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's second studio album, "II", which will be released on November 18 via Sony Music Latin.
Says DE LA TIERRA guitarist/vocalist Andres Gimenez: "This song talks about the internal root that we all have. It has two strands — one that spurs us to fight and grow stronger, and another that leads to apathy and doesn't let us see our own inner value." DE LA TIERRA is comprised of some of Latin America's most talented metal musicians, including Brazilian guitarist Andreas Kisser (SEPULTURA), Argentine singer/guitarist Andres Gimenez (A.N.I.M.A.L.), Argentine bassist Sr. Flavio (LOS FABULOSOS CADILLACS) and Cuban/Mexican drummer Alex Gonzalez (MANÁ). "II" follows the band's 2014 self-titled debut which received rave reviews and support from critics and fans. DE LA TIERRA found massive success following the release of their debut album in 2014. The record allowed the band to tour and share the stage with bands like METALLICA and SLIPKNOT and perform at festivals such as Rock In Rio, Santiago Gets Louder and Vive Latino as well as gain a strong following of fans throughout North and South America. For their follow-up record, DE LA TIERRA worked with renowned producer Ross Robinson (SLIPKNOT, KORN, DEFTONES, THE CURE, SEPULTURA) who helped the band craft a furious set of songs for one of the year's most dynamic, heavy rock/metal albums. "Our first album was self-produced," says drummer Alex Gonzalez. "This second album we had the awesome opportunity, honor and privilege to work with Ross Robinson. He produced and really captured and brought out the best of all of us. It was very positive and challenging, but at the same time he made us work hard and give 100% all the time. He really helped us to find our sound and voice." "II" was recorded in Los Angeles, where DE LA TIERRA laid down the music live to analog tape machines. Each of the band's members has a unique, individual style that Robinson helped blend and balance with their influential roots for a rich music experience that transcends language barriers. "All four of us listen to so much music and different styles that all of that information brings a lot to the table once we start writing music," Gonzalez adds. "It's so awesome that a band like DE LA TIERRA, that is a heavy/metal band, can bring so many different styles and sounds of heavy metal to our music, but at the same time we include rhythms, melodies and lyrics from Latin America."

UK Thrashers SOLITARY Sign TO UKEM Records; New Single StreamingThe UK thrash masters have signed a new deal with UKEM Records, to release the first brand new Solitary studio album in more than eight years. UKEM are a label fast establishing themselves as major players in the underground scene, with a hunger to succeed that matches Solitary’s own. With this fiercely driven partnership in place and an album to promote that takes British thrash metal to new heights, 2017 should be an exciting year for both band and label.
Asked about the signing with UKEM, Solitary’s front man Rich Sherrington had this to say:
“We are all very proud of the songs on this album and how it sounds. Working with producer Simon Efemey gave us a renewed belief in what we could achieve, so it was essential that we signed to a label with the same level of enthusiasm and with UKEM we have found the perfect match. Having been on UK labels previously we were keen for that to continue. 2017 is shaping up to be mega for us! Having the album come out in time for us playing at Hammerfest and then returning to London with Acid Reign is perfect. Hopefully there will be more to come after that as well, but having UKEM join our existing team of metal brothers can only mean that more people will get to hear and experience our metal.”
Details of the new Solitary album will be emerging soon, but today you can feast your eyes on the new video for ferocious single “Unidentified”. The video has been created by Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art, who has also recently worked with Flotsam And Jetsam, and like the song itself it pulls no punches.
Download the single on Solitary’s Bandcamp.

ANTHRAX – Acoustic Version Of “Breathing Lightning” StreamingAnthrax recorded a live, acoustic version of “Breathing Lightning” at KLAQ – El Paso and is streaming at the BraveWords Featured Audio page. The track comes off the band’s new album For All Kings, released this past February and was recorded on the last day of the band’s 7 week fall tour.
Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian was interviewed by Elliott Fullam of Little Punk People at the Chiller Theatre expo in Parsippany, NJ yesterday. They talked about many different things including getting nervous about meeting people they look up to, superheroes, horror movies, Scott’s new show Never Meet Your Heroes and much more.
Scott Ian’s new show, Never Meet Your Heroes, on SiriusXM's first-ever 24/7 talk radio channel, Volume, debuted on October 17th. Meet your host in the new video below:
Music is a passion. It’s an obsession. Fans talk about music the same way some talk about sports – they want to know the trivia, the stats, and the players behind the players and stories behind the stories. And they want to talk about ad nauseam. That’s why SiriusXM seized the opportunity to create the very first talk channel all about music, Volume (Ch. 106).
Roger Coletti, Volume’s executive producer and a former MTV/VH1 radio programming veteran, has spent the last six months bringing together a diverse cast of characters to deliver a mixture of live daily shows, artist interviews, weekly specials, a music trivia game show, album reviews, and several in-depth docuseries across all genres of popular music. Hosted by the most respected, knowledgeable, and passionate people in music today - including artists themselves.
A description of Scott Ian’s show reads: Never Meet Your Heroes with Scott Ian features the Anthrax guitarist and heavy metal icon as he chats with his celebrity idols and musical influences about what inspires them. Corey Taylor of Slipknot will be the featured guest on the debut show.

WEAPONS OF ANEW Featuring HAVOCHATE, SPREAD EAGLE Members Relesae “Killshot” Single; Audio StreamingWeapons Of Anew, the new band featuring members of HavocHate and Spread Eagle, make their debut to the metal world today with a powerful single, "Killshot”, via OK!Good Records.
The track is one of the first songs written by the new band, and when it all came together, Weapons Of Anew were certain they had found their niche amongst their eclectic influences and the music of the collective previous bands.
"As we started writing for this new band idea (with Chris Manfre and Stefan 'Reno' Cutrupi), I didn't want to write another HavocHate record," guitarist Freddy Ordine said. "Granted, I'm very proud of both those records, but I felt I had more to say and it didn't have to be all about heavy. It could have awesome melodies and groove and still smack you in the face, but in a different way. I had started listening to this melody I kept hearing in my head and wrote the remainder of the song."
Enter Spread Eagle vocalist Ray West. "The chorus wasn't written as you hear it now until Ray came in," Ordine said. "I heard Ray sing the verses in this sleek kind of modal way the first time we ever played together and - ZAP!!! - I was instantly connected! The chorus pretty much jumped out of my head and onto my fret board. I knew this is what my new band was supposed to sound like!"
Added Reno: "We had a fully working old version of the song with a completely different chorus and bridge section. Upon jamming it with Ray on our first couple of meetings, we ended up removing parts and re-writing entire sections of the song and changing parts to fit Ray's awesome vocal style. We were pretty set on the original version of the song until Ray came in and we moved things around...for the better I might add!"
Lyrically West captured a snapshot of the struggle between love and hate. "It's a life experience I know all too well," West said. "The story of unrequited love, and the killing of its pain. To be honest, I really didn't get to work on the song before I went to meet the guys at HQ. The song came to life through jamming in the room together. I could see that Freddy was very in tune with what I'm trying to do, so he started to tailor the arrangement to incorporate my sense of melody, rhythm and phrasing along with his, and we had the makings of a cool piece of music."
Weapons Of Anew gives Ordine and his bandmates the opportunity to expand and expound upon their musical vocabularies. Whereas Ordine's past pursuits focused on his love of old school thrash, this band's lush, layered songs go beyond hard rock and metal, delving into such sounds and styles as progressive and R&B.
"Killshot" is available for purchase via iTunes, and Bandcamp. The track is streaming below:
After whetting fans' appetites with "Killshot”, Weapons Of Anew will soon announce more information on their upcoming debut full-length album.

Exclusive: COGNITION Premier “Throne Of The Crow” Music VideoBraveWords is premiering the music video for “Throne Of The Crow”, a track from progressive metal act Cognition’s second full-length studio album, Procession Of Thoughts, released today (November 11th) independently via iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and Google Play.
The new video was shot and produced by Screaming Butterfly Entertainment, directed by Holly Siders. Watch below:
Procession Of Thoughts reflects an evolved and more mature sound from the West Virginia-based quintet, and follows the band’s 2014 self-titled debut album that put the band on the metal scene's radar as a band to watch.
Featuring vocalist Calvin Wilson, drummer Evan Michael, Joey Welsh on bass, and guitarists Jared Gaminde and Tyler Vincent, the band once again tapped producer Jeff Westlake of Ridgeline Production Studios (Hydrogyn, Tracy G and Craig Goldy of Dio fame, The Godz) who engineered and mixed Procession Of Thoughts.
“The process started in December of 2014 and finished in July of 2016. We sat down and put structure to what these guys brought to the table,” says Westlake. “This is a band in transition. They are learning every day and they have worked hard to be where they are. Development is so key and you rarely get to see it done this way anymore. The members of Cognition are getting the benefit of just that and to watch the growth is very satisfying.”
"As a band, Procession Of Thoughts represents a coming of age and a conscious reminder of what got us playing in the first place,” says guitarist Tyler Vincent. “We approached the writing process focused on delivering a cohesive album for the listener and not just ourselves. We believe our collective spirit is captured in each of the nine tracks and we can't wait for you all to hear it!"
Procession Of Thoughts tracklisting:
"Her Fire”
"Reconnect”
"Last Call”
"Shifting Perceptions”
"Throne Of The Crow”
"Desolation”
"Freakshow”
"Limitless”
"Eyes Wide Shut”

DESERTED FEAR Premier “Face Our Destiny” Music VideoGerman death metallers, Deserted Fear, have launched a video for the new song “Face Our Destiny”, off their upcoming album Dead Shores Rising.
The band comments: “With “Face Our Destiny” we are proud to introduce you the first song of our upcoming album Dead Shores Rising. The video production was rather exhausting for us again. However, it was a great experience to work with a wolfhound and to shoot under the surveillance of tough Thuringian steel workers, while gaining a deeper insight of their hard work. The video’s intention should be clear, as we wanted to create a contrast of nature and industry, to give people something to think about. Unfortunately it isn’t everywhere as green as here in Thuringia. We didn‘t want to miss out on action and blood as well, but we don’t want to give away too much. Just have a look yourself. Enjoy!“
Dead Shores Rising will be released through Century Media Records on January 27th and will be available as Special Edition Digipak, Ltd. Edition Gatefold LP and as digital album. The Digipak includes a patch and two bonus tracks of which one features guest vocals of Tomas “Tompa” Lindberg (At The Gates) and the vinyl comes with LP booklet and poster.

“Face Our Destiny”
“Till The Last Drop”
“Carry On”

BLACK SABBATH's GEEZER BUTLER: 'My Life Will Be Very Empty Without The Band'BLACK SABBATH bassist Geezer Butler spoke to Austin360 about the band's decision to call it quits after completing "The End" tour in early 2017.
"When we started out, we didn't expect to last more than a few years, never mind almost 50 years," he said. "I never thought it would turn into a lifelong career. It has been especially pleasing to know that we have influenced so many bands, and that we are still relevant after all this time."
Asked how he and his bandmates make sure fans remember SABBATH the way they want, Geezer said: "I feel that we are still musically at the top of our game, and we are aware that these last shows are the way people will remember us, so each show is very important to us. We put everything into our performances, and that is very important to us, to be the best we can be for our fans."
SABBATH will bring its storied career to a close in its native England, with seven shows booked there in January and February. The last two, on February 2 and February 4, will take place in SABBATH's hometown of Birmingham and will likely be their final shows.
"It will be bittersweet," Geezer said about the band's final shows. "It has been a great achievement lasting so long and still being relevant — it's something to be proud of, but my life will be very empty without the band. I hope our music will be around for a very long time after we've gone."
BLACK SABBATH will play its last show ever in the U.S. on November 12 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The gig will take place nearly five years to the day that the legendary act announced their reunion.
The original lineup of SABBATH came together in 1969 with Ozzy Osbourne on vocals, Tony Iommi on guitar, Butler on bass and Bill Ward on drums. That lineup recorded and toured through 1978, and periodically reformed through the '90s and 2000s for live work.
They regrouped again in late 2011 for a new album and tour, although Ward dropped out after just a few months. The remaining trio issued the "13" album in 2013 and backed it with a successful world tour — despite Iommi being treated for lymphoma since 2012. 14

AVENGED SEVENFOLD Singer Admits To Having 'Mixed Feelings' After Lowest-In-11-Years First-Week Album SalesAVENGED SEVENFOLD's seventh studio album, "The Stage", debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 album chart, selling 76,000 physical and/or digital copies in its first week of release. While the sales were decent for the current music business, they represent the lowest first-week total for any AVENGED SEVENFOLD album since "City Of Evil" in 2005. "The Stage" sold less than half as many copies in its first week as the group's two previous efforts, 2010's "Nightmare" and 2013's "Hail To The King".
It's possible that the sales reflect the unorthodox manner in which the band released the album, making it available at midnight on October 27 with almost no promotion beforehand, save for the arrival of a new song one week earlier. While artists like Beyoncé and Kanye West have staged similar stunts to great success, AVENGED singer M. Shadows admitted to Inc. it was a harder task for his band.
"We have mixed feelings right now," he said. "We know we could have done a boring lead-up and taken the number one spot. When you do a three-month buildup, you roll pre-orders, singles, etc. into your first week. The way we did it, our numbers are just for one week. Like Kanye: his first week numbers were low compared to what they could have been had he done the traditional release."
He continued: "We knew [the drop in first-week sales] could happen, but we felt it was worth the risk. We also take a longer-term view. The average album following a three-month release model typically sees sales drop as much as 80 percent for the second week. We expect some drop-off, too... but we also expect our album sales to continue over a longer period of time."
M. Shadows added: "It's mixed feelings, but I'm very excited to be doing new things. I would be depressed if we had done the old buildup process. That feels very 2009.
"Right now we have an album that sold less copies in its first week than the last one. And that's okay: you can't break the rules and expect the same result."
M. Shadows told The Pulse Of Radio that his band doesn't "have 85 million Instagram followers like Beyoncé does. So getting the word out there is a lot harder for a band like us than it is for her. When she does it, Spin writes about it, Rolling Stone writes about it, New York Times writes about it, and one Instagram post, you have 85 million people that are looking at it."
Asked how important album sales are for bands like AVENGED SEVENFOLD in 2016, M. Shadows told Inc.: "People consume music differently. Ultimately, though, people hearing our music is very important. As for buying records... it's hard to say how important that is, but you definitely want to keep the label happy and involved.
"We wouldn't have a problem selling tons of records [laughs], but we see the realities and challenges of the fact that people can get music everywhere.
"If people respect us as artists, they know we'll give them something different every time, they know we're pushing ourselves... even this surprise release helps people know we're still trying hard to be innovative."
The surprise arrival of "The Stage" made AVENGED SEVENFOLD the first-ever rock band to issue an unannounced album in both digital and physical form.
The quintet revealed that the album was out during a live-streamed performance from the rooftop of the Capitol Records tower in Hollywood, California.
The band is locked in a legal battle with its former label, Warner Bros. Records, over what the label claims is a breach of contract.
The relatively soft sales of "The Stage" could impact that fight, with the band's attorney, Howard King, saying last month: "We don't know what Warner could have done with an AVENGED album other than screw it up." But the lower sales could also reduce the damages that the band may have to pay to Warner if the label wins its case. 3

The latest effort, which was produced by Ryan Greene (ALICE COOPER, LITA FORD, MR. SUPERJOINT Feat. PHILIP ANSELMO: Entire 'Caught Up In The Gears Of Application' Album Available For Streaming"Caught Up In The Gears Of Application", the new album from former PANTERA and current DOWN frontman Philip Anselmo's SUPERJOINT RITUAL project — now known simply as SUPERJOINT for legal reasons — can be streamed in its entirety using the Bandcamp widget below. Released on November 11 via Anselmo's Housecore record label, the disc was recorded at Philip's New Orleans-area studio, Nodferatu's Lair and was produced by Anselmo and Stephen Berrigan. The effort was mastered by Scott Hull (AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED, PIG DESTROYER) at Visceral Sounds.
SUPERJOINT's current lineup includes guitarists Kevin Bond (CHRIST INVERSION, ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER) and Jimmy Bower (DOWN, EYEHATEGOD), drummer José Manuel Gonzalez (WARBEAST, PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS) and bassist Stephen Taylor (PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS, WOVEN HAND, 16 HORSE POWER).
"The minute we started writing, I knew this record would be brutal," reflects Bower.
"Sticking to our true hardcore roots and signature SUPERJOINT sound, we accomplished a record that needed to happen in today's underground. It's pissed off!
"After being on hiatus for eleven-plus years, the chance at a new SUPERJOINT record wasn't something we took lightly.
"With newcomers Steven and Joey, we were psyched and eager to get in the Lair and start writing and after two tours with the new lineup, we were able to hit the writing hard! Didn't take long to accomplish, and we stood and smirked at the playback of what would be the new SUPERJOINT record.
"With songs like 'Receiving No Answer To The Knock' and 'Sociopathic Herd Delusion', we had everything to smirk about!
"This record brings our viscous style of hardcore back to life.
"Pissed off with everything to prove, SUPERJOINT is back!"
Adds Anselmo: "The overall theme [of the album] means many things, or no things, but there is an underlying message regardless, about how modern technology — computers and all that comes with them, mainly — has affected our lives. As a musician, it has affected my life both negatively (music being stolen) and positively (being in touch with fellow musicians around the world and staying visible). But when looking at the broader spectrum, computer-land has given everyday people a platform in which to bellow like carnival barkers about anything and everything, humdrum or political, whether qualified or not, some with good intentions, some with disingenuous intentions, and some with ideas that lay somewhere in the middle, creating a mishmash of results."
"Caught Up In The Gears Of Application" track listing:
01. Today And Tomorrow02. Burning The Blanket03. Ruin You04. Caught Up In The Gears Of The Application05. Sociopathic Herd Delusion06. Circling The Drain07. Clickbait08. Asshole09. Mutts Bite Too10. Rigging The Fight11. Receiving No Answer To The Knock
Anselmo told Decibel magazine that SUPERJOINT was forced to drop the "RITUAL" from its name was "because there's a bloodsucking leech out there who took advantage of a situation. But we're all at fault as well for signing a document that basically has a zero sunset clause, meaning that this person is privy to a cut of any money a 'SUPERJOINT RITUAL' would make. Hence getting rid of the 'RITUAL,' coming back as SUPERJOINT, and cutting out that cancer."

The song is the title track of the band's new album, which is being released today (Friday, November 11) via Napalm Records. The "Dim Days Of Dolor" artwork was once again created by Gyula Havancsák from Hjules Illustration And Design. The CD was mixed at Hansen Studios in Denmark.
SIRENIA recently parted ways with their Spanish singer Ailyn Giménez García for "personal reasons." She has since been replaced by Emmanuelle Zoldan.
Commented the band: "Our cooperation [with Emmanuelle] goes back 13 years to the recordings of our second album 'An Elixir For Existence'. She has been a part of the choir on all our albums since then. She also did some lead vocals for the band on our EP 'Sirenian Shores', on our cover version of Leonard Cohen's song 'First We Take Manhattan'. And from now on she will also take the role as full time lead singer for SIRENIA.
"Emmanuelle is musically educated at Aix en Provence and Marseille Conservatories (4 years) and specialized at C.N.I.P.A.L Professional school of opera (2 years) She also made a career singing at various operas in France for many years and have collaborated with several bands and projects.
"Emmanuelle can handle lots of different musical styles and various techniques in addition to classical and opera, and this has had a big influence on our new album."
"Dim Days Of Dolor" track listing: 01. Goddess Of The Sea02. Dim Days Of Dolor03. The 12th Hour04. Treasure n' Treason05. Cloud Nine06. Veil Of Winter07. Ashes To Ashes08. Elusive Sun09. Playing With Fire10. Fifth Column11. Aeon's Embrace12. [bonus track]
SIRENIA mastermind and guitarist Morten Veland previously stated about "Dim Days Of Dolor": "We are very excited about this album. It feels like we really have been able to achieve what we set out to achieve with this one. The production and sound have never been better, and the vocals are in a different league.
"We feel that every song on the album has its own unique expression and personality. So you really haven't heard 'Dim Days Of Dolor' until you checked out every song on the album. But 'The 12th Hour', for sure, will give an impression of SIRENIA's new sound. The album is also full of nice details that you will discover one by one the more you listen to it.
"Personally, I love listening to this album with a high-quality headset, it gives a great listening experience. Also works great to play on a huge stereo and crank up the volume, just to really feel the great power of the mix.
"My favorite SIRENIA album without doubt. Might sound like a cliché saying that, but this is the first time I ever say it, and I have some albums under my belt at this point."
Ailyn released a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET in which she said that her exit from SIRENIA was not her decision. Ailyn (born: Pilar Giménez García) joined SIRENIA in 2008 as the replacement for Monika Pedersen, who left the group a year earlier after only one album due to "musical differences."
Ailyn was best known as a former contestant on the Spanish version of "The X Factor", the biggest television talent competition in Europe.
She appeared on four studio albums with SIRENIA: 2009's "The 13th Floor", 2011's "The Enigma Of Life", 2013's "Perils Of The Deep Blue" and 2015's "The Seventh Life Path". 6

ETERNAL IDOL Feat. ANGRA/Ex-RHAPSODY OF FIRE Singer FABIO LIONE: Listen To New Track 'A Song In The Wind'ETERNAL IDOL's track "A Song In The Wind" can be streamed below. The tune is taken from the band's debut album, "The Unrevealed Secret", which will be released on December 2 via Frontiers Music Srl.
ETERNAL IDOL is a new band formed in early 2016 and that marks the start of a new musical adventure for RHAPSODY OF FIRE and ANGRA singer Fabio Lione, together with the experienced Italian guitar player Nick Savio (ex-HOLLOW HAZE) and a lineup completed by the young vocal rising star Giorgia Colleluori, Camillo Colleluori (both also from HOLLOW HAZE) on drums and Andrea Buratto (SECRET SPHERE, HELL IN THE CLUB) on bass.
While all the musicians have solid pedigrees and musical history behind them, ETERNAL IDOL have a brand new and original sound which will certainly catch many fans by surprise. Lione says: "After all the experiences with bands such as KAMELOT, RHAPSODY OF FIRE, ANGRA and many more, I think it is time to show the world a new side of myself with this amazing new band.
"Musically, ETERNAL IDOL offer an intriguing mix of classic metal, symphonic rock and a few progressive twists which is truly unique, thanks to the combination of female and male vocals."
Fabio took care of most of the lyrics and vocal melodies, along with three gorgeous tracks he wrote, while Nick Savio worked hard on songwriting and arrangements.
"'The Unrevealed Secret' is the album where all our ideas came to the light," says the axeman from Vicenza. "Heavy classic rock with symphonic elements and the magic atmosphere of two lead vocals, male and female, create a contrast between good and bad as the main subject, as it is possible to see on the impressive and mysterious cover artwork."
The album was recorded in the summer of 2016, produced by Nick Savio and mixed by Simone Mularoni (DGM, SUNSTORM) and promises to be one of the melodic metal releases of the year. Fans of KAMELOT, MAGNUS KARLSSON'S FREE FALL, MASTERPLAN and AVANTASIA should pay attention.
"There is a story to be told with this album, and the secret will be revealed on the next ETERNAL IDOL releases, so please take your time to listen this first chapter and enjoy... A new story has begun," Nick concludes.

Former ACCEPT Guitarist HERMAN FRANK: Lyric Video For New Song 'Running Back'Former ACCEPT guitarist Herman Frank will release a new solo album, "The Devil Rides Out", on November 18 via AFM. It will be made available as a CD, limited digipak (including a bonus track), limited silver vinyl and limited box set. The CD was produced by Frank and mixed by Charlie Bauerfeind (BLIND GUARDIAN, HAMMERFALL, HELLOWEEN). It combines Frank's masterful guitar work with the raspy vocals of Swedish powerhouse Rick Altzi (MASTERPLAN, AT VANCE), the powerful drumming of Andre Hilgers (ex-RAGE) and the talent of Michael Müller (JADED HEART) on bass.
The official lyric video for the song Running Back, taken from "The Devil Rides Out", can be seen below.
"The Devil Rides Out" track listing:
01. Running Back02. Shout03. Can't Take It04. No Tears In Heaven05. Ballhog Zone06. Run Boy Run07. Thunder Of Madness08. License To Kill09. Stone Cold10. Dead Or Alive11. Run For Cover12. I Want It All13. You Don't Know (bonus track)
Herman joined ACCEPT in 1982 shortly before the release of the band's "Restless And Wild" album and exited the group for the first time after the arrival of 1983's "Balls To The Wall" LP.
When ACCEPT reunited for festival appearances in 2005, Herman handled second-guitar duties alongside founding axeman Wolf Hoffmann, with Stefan Schwarzmann sitting behind the kit.
Frank and Schwarzmann were involved in ACCEPT's comeback with new singer Mark Tornillo and appeared on their last three studio albums: 2010's "Blood of the Nations", 2012's "Stalingrad" and 2014's "Blind Rage".
Shortly before his exit from ACCEPT was made official in December 2014, Herman gave an interview to Metalholic in which he spoke about his frustrations at being unable to contribute to the band with his songwriting. He said: "[I've been writing] songs [for] 30 years, since I began my music career [in] a school band. And it's a shame that I can't show my talent [by] writing a couple of ACCEPT songs. I really would like to write some songs [for ACCEPT], but Peter [Baltes, ACCEPT bassist] and Wolf [Hoffmann, ACCEPT guitarist] decided, 'We are ACCEPT and we wanna do it [on] our own.' So why should I stop, 'cause I'm playing in ACCEPT, to write songs? I wrote songs for VICTORY, for HAZZARD, for MOON'DOC, for my two solo albums… for so many bands, you know. It's normal that I don't stop [writing songs]. PANZER and all these other bands give me a chance to just put out my music, which is in my head, you know?!" 2

METALLICA: Three Tracks From 'Hardwired' Album Land Simultaneously On 'Mainstream Rock Songs' ChartAccording to Billboard, three songs from METALLICA's upcoming tenth studio album, "Hardwired… To Self-Destruct", have landed on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart dated November 19: "Atlas, Rise!" (No. 22), "Moth Into Flame" (No. 6) and "Hardwired" (No. 23). This feat marks the first time that an artist has charted at least three songs on Mainstream Rock Songs simultaneously since September 2008 when METALLICA's "The Day That Never Comes", "Cyanide" and "My Apocalypse" made the list. It also marks the first time that an act has tripled up in the top 25 since GREEN DAY in August 2005.
"Atlas" debuted at No. 35 on the Rock Airplay chart with 1.8 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen Music. "Moth" ranks at No. 18 (3.6 million) and "Hardwired" at No. 46 (1.4 million).
METALLICA's "Death Magnetic" album sold close to a half million copies in just a three-day sales window and topped The Billboard 200 chart back in September 2008.
The band's first studio album since 2003 moved 490,000 copies in its abbreviated frame, scheduled off-cycle on a Friday to accommodate a worldwide release date.
METALLICA's previous CD, "St. Anger", also had an unusual release date after Elektra Records decided to move up its release to Thursday, June 5, 2003 from Tuesday, June 10, 2003 "to ensure that counterfeit copies of the band's first studio album in six years do not proliferate in the marketplace," the label said at the time.
"St. Anger" sold 418,000 copies in its first, shortened week on the streets to land at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart.
METALLICA's "Re-Load" album sold 435,000 units during its first week in 1997, while 1996's "Load" opened at 680,000. 1991's self-titled "black album" debuted with 598,000 and has since gone on to sell more than 16 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"Hardwired… To Self-Destruct" is due out November 18. It consists of two discs, containing a dozen songs and nearly 80 minutes of music. 7

Former RATT Singer STEPHEN PEARCY To Release 'Smash' Album In JanuaryFrontiers Music Srl has set a January 27, 2017 release date for Stephen Pearcy's fourth solo album, "Smash".
Pearcy, best known as the original vocalist and founding member of the platinum rock band RATT, has been working hard to complete his highly anticipated new album, while at the same time keeping busy performing shows across the U.S.
The first audio offering from "Smash", as track called "I Can't Take It", can be heard below. Stephen will be supporting "Smash" with live dates in the U.S. and internationally. "It took long enough to finish the new record 'Smash' and it is well worth the patience taken, giving every song as much attention as the next," says Pearcy. "Erik Ferentinos (lead guitarist and co-writer), Greg D'Angelo (drummer) and Matt Thorne (bassist, keyboardist) and myself didn't settle on any first, second or third takes. We let some songs grow if needed, then go back and complete it. We're very happy with the outcome, that we were able to experiment and grow with the new songs."
Regarding "I Can't Take It", Pearcy said: "It has the RATT signature sound because [early RATT producer] Beau Hill got back into the mix. We've always been in contact, and I told him, 'Look, I'm recording so much music.' And it's very diverse, very straightforward, very experimental stuff. And he was interested. And at the end of day, he mixed, mastered, and it's, like, alright, we're ready to go. Let's see where this takes us. But if it wasn't for him, it wouldn't sound like it sounded." "Smash" track listing:
01. I Know I'm Crazy02. Ten Miles Wide03. Lollipop04. Dead Roses05. Shut Down Baby06. Hit Me With A Bullet07. Want Too Much08. What Do Ya Think09. Jamie10. Rain11. Can't Take It (album version)12. Summer's End13. Passion Infinity Credits:

Three members of RATT's classic lineup — Pearcy, bassist Juan Croucier and guitarist Warren DeMartini — performed as the "surprise band" on October 1 on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise West, also known as Monsterwood. Joining them on stage at the event were former QUIET RIOT guitarist Carlos Cavazo, who played on RATT's last studio album, 2010's "Infestation", and drummer Jimmy DeGrasso, who previously played with Y&T, WHITE LION and MEGADETH, among others.
The as-yet-unnamed band notably doesn't feature drummer Bobby Blotzer has been touring the U.S. for the last year with his own version of RATT, featuring a rotating cast of musicians, including vocalist Josh Alan (ex-SIN CITY SINNERS).
DeMartini filed a lawsuit against Blotzer last year, claiming that the drummer was falsely advertising his "tribute band" as the real thing. That dispute is still pending in California state court.
Blotzer and DeMartini are the only remaining shareholders in WBS, Inc., the company which manages the business and operations related to RATT.

The album, which will be available on CD and via digital download, can be pre-ordered today on iTunes. All pre-orders receive an instant download of the new song "Cut It Loose". At the time of Haze's death, HAZEXPERIENCE had been announced as the opening act for two Y&T shows at the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma, November 18-19. New Song Premiere: SIXX:A.M.'s 'Without You'"Without You", a new song from SIXX:A.M. — the band featuring MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx alongside guitarist DJ Ashba and vocalist James Michael — can be streamed below. The track is taken from SIXX:A.M.'s new album, "Vol. 2, Prayers For The Blessed", which will be released on November 18 via Eleven Seven Music. Written and recorded at the same time as "Vol. 1, Prayers For The Damned", released earlier this year, the album acts as a companion piece to the first chapter while simultaneously elevating the band's sound in every area.
From "We Will Not Go Quietly" to the operatic show stopper "Maybe It's Time" and groove-driven, radio-ready rocker "That's Gonna Leave A Scar", "Prayers For The Blessed" displays the many sides of SIXX:A.M.'s sound, something that the band was able to develop by ramping up the amount of time they spent out on the road.
"We really found ourselves onstage and it's influencing the way we write," says Sixx. "We started focusing on our music not only as songwriters and lyricists but also stayed conscious of what would transfer over live to the audience."
Regarding the decision to split the "Prayers" project into two separate albums, James told The Aquarian Weekly: "When we set out to make two records, it was very intentional. We didn't want this to fall into that category that a lot of albums do, where it actually sounds like you went into the studio to one record, you have a few extra songs, you figured you'd polish them up and then you have a double album. We've all fallen victims to those albums before. This was a very different beast. It was very intentional. We thought of this as one big record, but then in a lot ways, we knew that we were going to be releasing them separately, so we did treat them separately, so they would stand alone. But we put so much effort and thought and care into every single note of both records and we wrote them both at the same time, and then figured out where each song made sense, so I think 'Vol. 2' is absolutely as strong, if not stronger than 'Vol. 1'. There are some songs on there that are really career songs. So, in a way, while we're so excited about 'Vol. 1' and the response that we're getting, we're also chomping at the bit for people to sink their teeth into 'Vol. 2' as well."
In a separate interview with Lehigh Valley Music, James stated about the decision to release "Vol. 2" so soon after "Vol. 1": "We didn't want to wait too long in between because they’re definitely connected. Both volumes certainly stand alone and are very satisfying bodies of work, but when they are experienced together, another layer of SIXX:A.M. and another of the messaging will be revealed. So it was important that we didn’t release them too far apart because they are connected, but we didn't want to release them at the same time 'cause that's an awful lot of music to absorb. And as you know, SIXX:A.M. music is — it's pretty heavy and it's pretty complex and deals with very, sometimes, difficult subject matter. So we wanted people to have time to absorb the messaging and absorb the songs before we then dropped a whole other album on them. But the reason we decided to do two records is we wanted to provide a lot of new music for people. We also kind of felt like we were playing catch-up in a way. 'Cause for the last ten years, we haven't been able to tour very much at all, and so we felt like, in a way, we were making up for lost time." "Vol. 2, Prayers For The Blessed" track listing:
01. Barbarians (Prayers For The Blessed)02. We Will Not Go Quietly03. Wolf At Your Door04. Maybe It's Time05. The Devil's Coming06. Catacombs07. That's Gonna Leave a Scar08. Without You09. Suffocate10. Riot In My Head11. Helicopters 3

KORN's Early Ideas For 'The Serenity Of Suffering' Sounded 'Like MESHUGGAH'KORN guitarists/co-founders James "Munky" Shaffer and Brian "Head" Welch spoke to Premier Guitar about the making of the band's latest album, "The Serenity Of Suffering", which came out at the end of October.
Munky said: "Head and I got into a small room and started to write riffs with Ray [Luzier, drums], who had an electronic kit, and it was a little bit different because it wasn't all of us at once. We wanted to just get the ball rolling and stockpile a bunch of riffs and ideas.
Added Head: "We started first in early June [2015] in Hollywood, just ripping out half-song ideas. When we started writing, we used eight-string guitars. We were, like, 'I want to try something different.' It was so fun and sparked a different way to write just because it sounded different, and then we brought the idea to the studio and let Jonathan [Davis, vocals] hear it, and he was like, 'This doesn't sound like KORN.' And then we went back to the basics. He said it wasn't in his vocal range and was, like, 'You guys sound like MESHUGGAH now.' We took a couple of those songs and made them into seven-string, just the regular tuning, and only a couple of them worked. The other ones we had to throw away because it didn't sound good on seven-string."
Continued Munky: "It was a combination of the vocal range and the fact that it was too outside of what KORN should sound like, I think."
Asked how producer Nick Raskulinecz got involved with the making of "The Serenity Of Suffering", Munky said: "We started talking about producers once we had 20 or 25 ideas, you know, like a verse and chorus, recorded. Not complete songs, because we wanted someone to help us through the writing process and tell us, 'Maybe this is good, maybe this isn't, where do we take these ideas?' And probably a month or two into the writing process we went up to Bakersfield to get everyone in our studio over there with live drums, and have Fieldy [bass] and Jonathan be part of the writing process on the music end, and to help with the direction. That's when we started thinking about producers and making phone calls, and Nick's name came up a few times. We're big fans of his work and we love what he did with the DEFTONES records, and the two ALICE IN CHAINS records that he did."
Added Head: "Actually we wanted to talk to him on 'The Paradigm Shift', the previous record, but he was busy. So his name came up again, and we talked to a bunch of other producers, but you know, he just had an energy about him. He's just a guy that you grow to like instantly and we became friends instantly. He's got that personality and is just a fan of music. He told us he used to flip burgers and listen to KORN while he was working. He was, like, 'As a fan, I know what you guys need right now. I know you guys have ventured off and done stuff, but I want to take your whole career — your last 20 years — and put together what I would like to hear, as a fan.' Once we got him, he started going over songs with us, throwing stuff away, keeping other stuff, and making stuff better. That was the beginning of the process."
Continued Munky: "He went out on a limb and was just honest with us, and we had to kind of step back and were, like, 'We want to go down that road again. We want to experiment with guitar sounds and just let songs develop into whatever they might be,' and we hired him pretty much on the spot. It was actually difficult because we were doing a lot of these one-off festival shows, and flying back and forth from Europe, but maybe it led us to have good energy on the record because we were playing in front of a lot of audiences. I remember Head saying during the writing process, 'We gotta make sure these songs are fun to play live.' Because a lot of songs that we write in the studio, we get them out and play them live, and it just doesn't translate to the audience."
"The Serenity Of Suffering" was released on October 21. The follow-up to 2013's "The Paradigm Shift" marks the band's return to Roadrunner, which previously released 2010's "Korn III - Remember Who You Are" and 2011's "The Path Of Totality". 13

TED NUGENT Says DONALD TRUMP's Win Shows That 'America Still Has A Soul'Outspoken conservative rocker Ted Nugent has responded with enthusiasm to Donald Trump's surprising victory in last night's presidential election and has vowed to be even less restrained in the future.
He said in a Facebook Live session: "Are you kidding me? America still has a soul. Not everybody, but enough of us. We went to the Concord bridge and we stopped the enemy.
"I'm actually a little teary-eyed this morning," he continued. "We declared our independence, and we told Hillary Clinton we don't accept liars, scammers, thieves and rotten freedom-hating, constitution hating, conniving criminals to be president. Thank you, America, good going. Good work!"
Nugent also implored his followers to "reach out" to the Hillary Clinton-supporting "zombies." He said: "Take a deep breath, and try to educate them that there's no such thing as free. There's no free phones, we bought those for you. There's no free education, you'd have to take our money to pay for it. There's no free fuel subsidies, we paid for that … the redistribution must stop. We will help the needy, not the greedy."
The rocker added that he will not tone down his rhetoric after Trump's win, saying: "God bless America, I'm feeling mighty good. And you know the only thing more dangerous than a sow grizzly bear cornered with cubs? Ted Nugent with more confidence! Oh, we're in deep shit now. You thought I was hard-hitting before? 'Here I come again now baby, like a dog in heat. You can tell it's me by the clamor now, baby, I like to tear up the street. Now I've been smoking for so long baby, you know I'm here to stay. I've got you in a stranglehold motherfuckers, get the fuck out of my way.'"
Nugent made headlines earlier in the week when he appeared at a rally at Freedom Hill Amphitheater in Sterling Heights, Michigan and grabbed his crotch while shouting: "I got your blue state right here, baby!" at a Trump rally as he sought to boost the Republican's vote in the traditionally Democratic state.
