TRIVIUM: Early Demo Song

TRIVIUM: Early Demo Song 'The Storm' Available For Streaming

Florida metallers TRIVIUM have released a the song "The Storm", which is featured on the upcoming reissue of their debut album, "Ember To Inferno". Check it out below.

TRIVIUM has spent the past decade-plus building its reputation and steadily rising to prominence, becoming one of the main torchbearers of heavy metal in the modern era. With millions of albums sold globally and numerous world tours (from Ozzfest, Mayhem and Download to opening for METALLICA, BLACK SABBATH, and IRON MAIDEN to extensive headline treks), TRIVIUM began their journey in 2003 with their debut album, "Ember To Inferno". The record quickly captured the attention of the band's earliest fans as well as the ears of A&R reps at Roadrunner Records, who rapidly signed the band and went on to release their watershed album "Ascendancy" in 2005. "Ember To Inferno" was the catalyst for what was to come and it has been out of print for several years… until now.

The band and 5B Artist Management have partnered with Cooking Vinyl to re-release the album, along with a deluxe edition that includes 13 additional tracks that have never been previously available yet have earned evasive legend status among the diehards, on December 2. It's a true treasure trove of material that will delight the staunchest TRIVIUM fans and beyond.

"The purpose of this release is to show the very early beginnings of TRIVIUM — perhaps an era unbeknownst to most listeners of the band," said TRIVIUM vocalist and guitarist Matt Heafy. "To look back at 'Ember' as the starting point of TRIVIUM becoming recognized worldwide is a staggering thought for me, considering I was 16-17 years old during the writing and recording of the record.

"As a kid, I always said the 'goal' was to be in a massive metal band. I don't think I actually knew what it would mean to have fans in different parts of the world, and I still can't believe people care so much that they actually want to hear the music that pre-dates our Roadrunner years. To this day, I am still completely blown away that people are singing words to songs I wrote when I was 16 years old. It's an amazing feeling."

"Ember To Inferno" will be released in four configurations, with the deluxe editions containing the band's early demos "Ruber" (a.k.a. the Red Demo), "Caeruleus" (a.k.a. the Blue Demo) and "Flavus" (a.k.a. the Yellow Demo). Fans can pre-order all formats online here.

The formats available are:

* "Ember To Inferno" — Standard CD.

* "Ember To Inferno" — Standard Vinyl LP, which is the original album in a 2LP gatefold on orange/black marble vinyl.

* "Ember To Inferno: Ab Initio" — Deluxe CD, which is the original album with new artwork, plus 13 bonus tracks and expanded booklet in a digipak. The 13 bonus tracks are the band's early demos — "Ruber" (a.k.a. the Red Demo), "Caeruleus" (a.k.a. the Blue Demo) and "Flavus" (a.k.a. the Yellow Demo).

DE LA TIERRA Feat. SEPULTURA

DE LA TIERRA Feat. SEPULTURA's ANDREAS KISSER: 'II' Album Due This Month

Latin American metal group DE LA TIERRA will release its second studio album, "II", on November 18 via Sony Music Latin. DE LA TIERRA is comprised of some of Latin America's most talented metal musicians, including Brazilian guitarist Andreas Kisser (SEPULTURA), Argentine singer/guitarist Andres Gimenez (A.N.I.M.A.L.), Argentine bassist Sr. Flavio (LOS FABULOSOS CADILLACS) and Cuban/Mexican drummer Alex Gonzalez (MANÁ). "II" follows the band's 2014 self-titled debut which received rave reviews and support from critics and fans. The upcoming record's first new song, "Puro", can be streamed below. Speaking with Billboard.com, Gimenez says: "This song talks about how life can take us in different directions, good or bad. Our soul is unbreakable. It's up to us to understand if it's time to be born, to grow, or to die. The payoff is always there. Nothing is easy, but nothing is impossible as long as you keep the pure power inside your heart." DE LA TIERRA found massive success following the release of their debut album in 2014. The record allowed the band to tour and share the stage with bands like METALLICA and SLIPKNOT and perform at festivals such as Rock In Rio, Santiago Gets Louder and Vive Latino as well as gain a strong following of fans throughout North and South America. For their follow-up record, DE LA TIERRA worked with renowned producer Ross Robinson (SLIPKNOT, KORN, DEFTONES, THE CURE, SEPULTURA) who helped the band craft a furious set of songs for one of the year's most dynamic, heavy rock/metal albums. "Our first album was self-produced," says drummer Alex Gonzalez. "This second album we had the awesome opportunity, honor and privilege to work with Ross Robinson. He produced and really captured and brought out the best of all of us. It was very positive and challenging, but at the same time he made us work hard and give 100% all the time. He really helped us to find our sound and voice." "II" was recorded in Los Angeles, where DE LA TIERRA laid down the music live to analog tape machines. Each of the band's members has a unique, individual style that Robinson helped blend and balance with their influential roots for a rich music experience that transcends language barriers. "All four of us listen to so much music and different styles that all of that information brings a lot to the table once we start writing music," Gonzalez adds. "It's so awesome that a band like DE LA TIERRA, that is a heavy/metal band, can bring so many different styles and sounds of heavy metal to our music, but at the same time we include rhythms, melodies and lyrics from Latin America."

RUSH Announces 40th-Anniversary Edition Of

RUSH Announces 40th-Anniversary Edition Of '2112', Featuring Plenty Of Bonus Material

After celebrating over 40 years together with the same trio line-up, UMe continues the celebration of the RUSH catalog with the release of three 40th-anniversary expanded editions of the band's classic 1976 album "2112".

On December 16, 2016, "2112 - 40th" will be released in three distinct variations. The 2CD/DVD edition will include a newly remastered CD of the original "2112" album by Abbey Road Studios, and an additional CD of rare, live and previously unreleased material, including newly recorded tracks from "2112" featuring Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins of FOO FIGHTERS along with Nick Raskulinecz, BILLY TALENT, Steven Wilson from PORCUPINE TREE, Jacob Moon and ALICE IN CHAINS. The set's third disc is a DVD featuring a newly restored vintage 1976 RUSH concert recorded at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey, plus bonus videos of the Grohl/Hawkins/Raskulinecz track and BILLY TALENT track, and a new 25-plus-minute interview featuring RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson and longtime producer and engineer Terry Brown. The new "2112" remaster originally appeared on the much-acclaimed 2015 hologram vinyl edition of the album; this marks the Abbey Road Studios master first time on CD.

UMe is also releasing a three-LP 200-gram vinyl edition incorporating all of the aforementioned audio material, plus a special laser-etched LP side, the 2015 hologram on "2112"'s side B and a unique turntable mat featuring the band's iconic Starman character. Fans will also have the option of purchasing a Super Deluxe edition of "2112", incorporating both CDs, the DVD, all three LPs plus its bonus items, and several exclusive collectable items including two 12-inch x 12-inch lithos, one featuring Hugh Syme's original Starman pencil sketching, the second showcasing a 1976 Massey Hall ticket stub; a reprint of the 1976 Massey Hall handbill and three buttons featuring each band member, all housed in a box lined with velvet flocking. For the first 1,000 Super Deluxe pre-order purchases at Rush.com, us.udiscovermusic.com and udiscovermusic.com, the purchaser will receive a limited-edition seven-inch pressing of the album's first single, "The Twilight Zone" (b/w "Lessons") and a custom red star 45 large hole adapter ring, both newly designed by Hugh Syme.

All three versions of "2112 - 40th" feature extensive liner notes by renowned rock historian Rob Bowman, and newly designed artwork by longtime RUSH art director Hugh Syme. The set's rare recordings include "Solar Federation", spotlighting the isolated Neil Peart vocals that close the song "2112" in "Grand Finale", two outtakes from the 1976 Massey Hall concerts, including "Something For Nothing" and a nearly complete 15-plus-minute performance of "2112", as well as a recently rediscovered live version of the album track "The Twilight Zone", which has only been performed twice in the band's long history.

The epic "2112" album which guitarist Alex Lifeson described as "the first record where we sounded like RUSH," is widely regarded as a crucial landmark in RUSH's body of work. Although it was the band's fourth album, it's generally considered to be the one on which the band's epic sound and ambitious conceptual approach blossomed. Resisting record-company pressure to focus on shorter, more radio-friendly songs, the band stuck to its guns and constructed the album's seminal seven-part, 20-minute title piece, a conceptual suite set in a dystopian future.

In addition to its status as a creative landmark, "2112" was also RUSH's commercial breakthrough, becoming the band's first album to reach the Billboard LP chart and the first RUSH album to achieve gold sales status in the U.S. (it was subsequently certified platinum). "2112" was also RUSH's first platinum album in Canada, spawning a now-legendary Canadian tour that culminated in a three-night stand at Massey Hall in Toronto, which was recorded for RUSH's first live album, "All The World's A Stage".

"2112" is one of two RUSH albums listed in the book "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die", and it ranked second on Rolling Stone's 2012 readers' poll of “Your Favorite Prog Rock Albums of All Time.” In 2006, the non-profit Audio-Visual Preservation Trust Of Canada chose "2112" as a culturally significant example of Canada's audio-visual heritage.

Watch AMON AMARTH Perform In Dublin, Ireland

Watch AMON AMARTH Perform In Dublin, Ireland

Fan-filmed video footage of Swedish death metallers AMON AMARTH performing the song "Deceiver Of The Gods" on November 2 at Vicar Street in Dublin, Ireland can be seen below.

AMON AMARTH recently announced the addition of Jocke Wallgren as the band's new permanent drummer. Jocke has been sitting behind the kit for all shows on the group's current "Jomsviking" world tour.

In an interview with EMP Rock Invasion, AMON AMARTH vocalist Johan Hegg stated about the departure of drummer Fredrik Andersson and AMON AMARTH's decision to enlist a session drummer, Tobias Gustafsson (VOMITORY, CUT UP), during the recording sessions for "Jomsviking": "Tobias was helping to write the album and record the album. We asked him to help us write and record the album, 'cause we didn't wanna go out and find a complete replacement, start working on a new album and then realize halfway through that, 'All right. This is not working out. We need to find someone else.' That wouldn't have been good at all. So we decided to work with someone we know really well. Tobias is an old friend and a great drummer. I mean, he's been playing for years in VOMITORY and now, obviously, he's in CUT UP. I think he contributed a lot to the end result of the album. I think it would not have turned out as great as it did without him."

AMON AMARTH's tenth studio album, "Jomsviking", debuted at No. 19 on The Billboard 200, having shifted 21,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 31.

"Jomsviking" was released on March 25 via Metal Blade in North America and Sony Music internationally. The first concept record in AMON AMARTH's storied career tells a tragic tale of love and revenge, backed by the Swedes' trademark melodic, anthemic metal, which was produced and mixed once again by Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, TESTAMENT, ACCEPT). The epic original story is set in the world of the Jomsvikings, the legendary order of mercenary Vikings.

METALLICA: Official Video Recap And Behind-The-Scenes Footage From Puerto Rico Concert

METALLICA: Official Video Recap And Behind-The-Scenes Footage From Puerto Rico Concert

Official video footage of METALLICA's October 26 performance at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico can be seen below.

The band's setlist was as follows:

01. Creeping Death02. For Whom The Bell Tolls03. Wherever I May Roam04. Harvester Of Sorrow05. The Memory Remains06. The Unforgiven07. Moth Into Flame08. Ride The Lightning09. Sad But True10. One11. Master Of Puppets12. Battery13. Fade To Black14. Seek & Destroy

Encore:

15. Hardwired16. Whiskey In The Jar17. Nothing Else Matters18. Enter Sandman

As previously reported, METALLICA plans to make a video for every song on its new album, "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct". Drummer Lars Ulrich said in an interview with The Strait Times: "Now that YouTube is the world's biggest television station, we figured we may as well knock a video out for every song," adding, "The practicality of shooting 12 music videos is kind of crazy, especially when you're trying to promote your record, and you're all over the place, and trying to make sure it doesn't leak. It's crazy but, at the same time, fun."

METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett told The Pulse Of Radio that the band has to be in better than average shape physically to play the songs on the new record. "There's a physicality to our music that we cannot ignore, so we just kind of have to keep ourselves in a certain sort of physical sort of state where that, you know, we can't let ourselves get to a point where we can't play these songs, you know," he said. "That's just not allowed. You know, when we write this music, we have to make sure that we can play it and play it, you know, when we need to play it."

So far the band has revealed clips for the title track, as well as the tracks "Moth Into Flame" and "Atlas, Rise!"

The long-awaited follow-up to 2008's "Death Magnetic" is out November 18 and consists of two discs, containing a dozen songs and nearly 80 minutes of music.

Ulrich also said that METALLICA has done its best to keep up with the shifting fortunes of the music industry, explaining: "20 to 30 years ago, there was a right way and wrong way to do things, but now it's just what suits you the best because it’s a whole new game out there."

METALLICA is on tour at the moment in South America and plays in Guatemala City on Thursday (November 3).

OZZY OSBOURNE

OZZY OSBOURNE's Next Solo Album Will Include Writing Collaborations With STEVE STEVENS

Ozzy Osbourne spoke about to SiriusXM host Jose Mangin about the possibility of a new solo album from the BLACK SABBATH singer once the legendary heavy metal band has completed its "The End" tour in early 2017. Ozzy said: "I'm not retiring, I'm gonna carry on. I've been writing with Billy Morrison [who currently plays guitar in Billy Idol's band and co-wrote songs on Idol's latest album] and [Idol] guitarist] Steve Stevens. [Steve is] not gonna be in my band, he's with Billy Idol. But he's a friend of [Morrison's] and [Morrison] plays with Billy Idol. I said, 'I've got some ideas,' and we worked it out. There's one song that right now is called 'Crack Cocaine'. It's like a bluesy thing."

Asked when fans can expect to see his next solo album, Ozzy replied: "I don't wanna say when [it will be out]. I can't be working the SABBATH thing and my own thing at the same time. I tried that with the Ozzfest; it didn't work."

Ozzy told Metro back in August that he was "playing around with some song ideas" for his next solo album. He added: "Once BLACK SABBATH is off the road, I will be heading into the studio with my band to get the songs recorded. Once it's all in the can, you can be sure to see me back on the road again."

Ozzy's wife and manager Sharon Osbourne recently told Rolling Stone that the 67-year-old singer will carry on as a solo artist after BLACK SABBATH's farewell tour comes to an end. "We'll continue until Ozzy finishes, and Ozzy won't be long behind them when he calls it a day," she said.

"It's not going to be within the next year, but it's coming up," she said. "I don't want Ozzy singing 'Crazy Train' at 75. I think it's best you go out before you hit that 70 and go out on top."

Ozzy told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that he wanted to keep performing for fans as long as he could. "I don't wanna stop, you know," he said. "It's been the biggest love affair of my life. When you reach a certain age in rock 'n' roll, people think, 'Well, this has got to be his last tour,' or 'This has got to be his last tour,' or 'You've got to come next Tuesday 'cause he ain't gonna do it after that.' You'll know when I've come off the road permanently. I mean, you'll know!"

Ozzy has not released an all-new solo album since "Scream", having spent the last few years touring with BLACK SABBATH and recording that band's "13" album.

Epic Records president Sylvia Rhone told Billboard in August 2015 that Osbourne was working on a "really special album." She added, "It's going to be amazing. It's something Ozzy has never done before that he's always wanted to do."

INVIDIA Feat. IN THIS MOMENT, Ex-FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Members:

INVIDIA Feat. IN THIS MOMENT, Ex-FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Members: 'As The Sun Sleeps' Album Due In April

INVIDIA, the new band featuring former and current members of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, IN THIS MOMENT and SKINLAB, has signed a worldwide deal with SPV (eOne distribution) for the release of its debut album, "As The Sun Sleeps". Based in Las Vegas, INVIDIA's style embraces everything from industrial sludge to Bay Area thrash and delivers with the musical mastery and ferocity to dominate 2017. With a target drop date of April 2017, "As The Sun Sleeps" bursts through sub-genre walls and embodies INVIDIA's multifaceted sound.

SPV's A&R Manager and head of international licensing, Gero Herrde, revealed his reactions to the partnership: "Working with a band consisting of high-level experienced and skilled musicians like these guys is not only an honor, it is also a great pleasure — and it's bound for success as well. We're really proud that it's us they picked!"

INVIDIA bassist Matt Snell (formerly of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH) shares Herrde's enthusiasm. "Everyone in INVIDIA is beyond excited that we found a home with SPV and we are looking forward to our partnership working together," said Snell. "When you surround yourself with the right people there are truly no limits to what could be."

INVIDIA's manager Shawn Barusch, president of Music Gallery International, helmed this game changing deal between INVIDIA and SPV. "I'm so happy to be working with SPV!" Shawn said. "I feel we have found the right home for INVIDIA. With the debut release of INVIDIA's album, 'As The Sun Sleeps', in 2017, I feel no fan will be safe from this rapture."

"As The Sun Sleeps" was produced and co-written by Logan Mader (ONCE HUMAN, MACHINE HEAD). "I loved working on this album!" he said. "INVIDIA's sound has huge balls while maintaining a great sense of mass appeal with big hooks and heavy grooves. The guys are dead serious about making it all happen and very self-sufficient. Producing records like this makes my job fun and inspiring." And on the SPV deal, co-manager Mader had this to say: "We made a solid deal for the band. It took awhile to negotiate but it ended up right. Excited for 2017!"

Regarding the vibe and feel of "As The Sun Sleeps", Mader said: "I would call it hard rock/metal with big balls. It's got big choruses. It's got big hooks. It also has a serious 'metal energy,' which is where we all come from in our musical backgrounds. There are some songs that fit the American active rock radio format. There are some songs with a modern-industrial-type feel mixed with a kind of a pop sensibility and big chorus. The other end of the spectrum is more of a groove metal which draws a little bit from that classic PANTERA vibe. It gives it that sort of heavy testosterone metal feel."

In a recent interview with Rich Inzinna and Paula Noto from "The S.I.R.E.N." radio show on iRadioUSA.com, Travis stated about how INVIDIA was formed: "This all came together super fast and super flawless. I guess stars kind of aligned, really. I put something up online and Brian hit me up. He said, 'Dude, I'd be totally down t do some work together,' and that kind of thing. And I was, like, 'You know what? I totally miss singing. And I'm totally down for that.'"

He continued: "The funny thing is, everybody that's involved in this project as of now has worked together at different times except for me and Brian. So it's almost funny. It was like this circle that was just missing a piece for it all to connect. So once me and Brian got together, the whole circle came together, and within six weeks, this whole record's done, completely recorded, everybody's in place. And it's almost super ironic the way it all came together."

Travis, who still plays bass in IN THIS MOMENT, added: "We're all super excited about this project. I'm stoked to be singing again. I love playing bass, obviously, but I've been a singer for a long fucking time. I just took a huge break, so it's good to be able to kind of get back into it and kind of have my cake and eat it too, and be on both sides."

INVIDIA is:

* Matt Snell (FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH) - Bass* Travis Johnson (IN THIS MOMENT) - Vocals* Brian Jackson (SKINLAB) - Guitar* Darren Badorine - Drums* Marcos Medina (SKINLAB) - Guitar

SARKOM Streaming “Mind-Abscess” Featuring SHINING’s Peter Huss

With the release of Anti Cosmic Art, the fourth full-length album from Norwegian black metallers Sarkom, a month away, Dark Essence Records have debuted a track from the album.

Titled "Mind-Abscess", one of the track's features is a striking guitar interlude performed by three separate guitarists.  The first guitar part is performed by Thrawn, the second by Shining’s Peter Huss, and the third by Galaaen.

As well as Peter Huss, the seven-track album also features guest appearances from Alfahanne's Pehr Skjoldhammer, and guitar virtuosos Ronni Le Tekrø (TNT, Roquefire) and former Sarkom member Sagstad (Trollfest).

Artwork by Spectrvm Lvsitani:

Anti-Cosmic Art tracklisting:

“Previous Associates, Now As Targets For The Gun”
“Mind-Abscess”
“Ruiners Of Our Family Tree”
“Seen Through The Eyes Of A Paedophile Priest”
“Come, Dear Cancer”
“Black Metal Necrophilia”
“Sodomy And Lust” (Sodom cover)

"Mind-Abscess":

Founder and frontman Unsgaard (So Much For Nothing), Sgt V (ex-Svarttjern) on bass, Thrawn (ex-Dødheimsgard) on guitar and Defest (Svarthaueg) on drums, have made full use of the unique, crushingly dark sound that is Sarkom’s trademark, and have come up with an album that ranges from icy, old school black metal, to more experimental tracks. Brutally catchy, guitar-driven, and featuring blast beats from hell, Anti-Cosmic Art demonstrates perfectly that Sarkom have no problems stepping out of their comfort zone, or of appealing to a wider audience.

To mark the release of Anti-Cosmic Art, Sarkom will play the following two Norwegian dates:

December
3 - Good Omens - Trondheim, Norway
17 - Revolver - Oslo, Norway

With this recording, we wanted to explore what would happen if we instead let the material take another direction, and we're extremely thrilled by the result."

Atoma was recorded at Rogue Music in Gothenburg, the studio owned by D.T. keyboardist Martin Brändström. Mixing duties were handled by David Castillo, known for his work with bands such as Katatonia, Opeth and Candlemass. The striking cover artwork was once again created by the band's guitarist Niklas Sundin.

Atoma tracklisting:

“Encircled”
“Atoma”
“Forward Momentum”
“Neutrality”
“Force Of Hand”
“Faithless By Default”
“The Pitiless”
“Our Proof Of Life”
“Clearing Skies”

A limited edition double CD will be available as a digipak in North America and as a Mediabook in Europe. The bonus disc features the songs “The Absolute” and “Time Out of Place” that showcase a very different side of the band. Recorded and mixed by Anders Lagerfors at Nacksving studios, these tracks are among the darkest and most brooding ever from the band - but their experimental nature make them far removed from the usual metal territory.

The band explains, "A lot of our songs start out as pieces of music written on piano/ keyboards before getting transformed into guitar driven metal. With this recording, we wanted to explore what would happen if we instead let the material take another direction, and we're extremely thrilled by the result."

These songs will exclusively be available on the physical deluxe edition of Atoma and won't appear on the digital edition of the album. A vinyl 7” is planned for early 2017.

The gatefold vinyl LP will contain the 12 track CD and is available in different vinyl colors:

Blue vinyl: limited to 400 copies exclusive through Bengans in Sweden

The Sound Of Perseverance (Deluxe Reissue) by Death

Over the course of more than a decade and seven increasingly accomplished albums, Chuck Schuldiner, the architect behind the ubiquitous Death, became a bona fide heavy metal icon. Now widely recognized as the father of death metal (if a single candidate must be chosen, his résumé is about as good as it gets), Schuldiner's singular drive and ruthless creative vision guaranteed that Death would ever represent the cutting edge of the style's development. Indeed, while the savagely raw aggression contained in Death's first three albums proved crucial to spearheading the first generation of death metal bands, the astounding musicianship and increasingly sophisticated songwriting found on their later-day efforts surely influenced even more groups to explore the limits of extreme metal's most progressive outposts. By all accounts a force to be reckoned with on-stage, Death also logged more frequent flier miles than perhaps any other band of their ilk, undertaking numerous far-reaching tours despite suffering from continuous and often acrimonious musician turnover within their ranks. Throughout this long journey and drastic evolutionary curve, Schuldiner was to be the only constant, the effective mastermind behind Death's continually groundbreaking career, and, as proven by his near-canonization at the time of his untimely passing, arguably unequalled in stature within one of rock's most uncompromising style.

BE THE WOLF Release “Phenomenons” Music Video

BE THE WOLF Release “Phenomenons” Music Video

Italian rockers Be The Wolf will release their new album, Rouge, on November 9th via Marquee/Avalon in Japan, and on November 18th via Scarlet Records in the rest of the world. A music video for the album’s lead track, “Phenomenons”, can be found below.

Formed in 2011 in Turin, Italy, Be The Wolf had one goal: to write and play rock music, plain and simple, with no masterplans and with no need to conform to any genre, definition or label. Since then they released a bunch of singles, videos and an EP that were very well received worldwide, and played countless shows in their home country and beyond.

Scarlet Records saw their enormous potential and signed them in June 2015. Their debut album Imago was released shortly after, to critical acclaim and commercial success. The band was received tremendous support by the most important music media outlets, including MTV, Virgin Radio and Rolling Stone, and were invited to perform in Japan, where they received the prestigious “Brightest Hope Award” by influential music magazine Burrn!.

Be The Wolf's music is an addictive mix of contemporary but Seventies-inspired rock and a touch of blues-filled atmospheres. Groovy anthems alternate with slow paced tracks and folkish ballads, with wide range vocals delivering catchy refrains and haunting melodies, enhanced by gospel-infused choirs. Rouge, the band’s new album, was recorded, mixed and mastered by Andrea Fusini (Upon This Dawning, MSWhite, Ready,Set,Fall!) and sets new standards for the band: longer than the debut yet straight to the point, the record is a concept about blood, fire and faith, a raw analysis of modern society, with its French title to be seen as an homage to the Bataclan victims.

Tracklisting:

“Phenomenons”
“Down To The River”
“Animals”
“Blah Blah Blah”
“Shibuya”
“Gold Diggers”
“Peeps”
“Rise Up Together”
“The Game”
“Freedom”

DOWNFALL OF GAIA Release “Ephemerol” Music Video

DOWNFALL OF GAIA Release “Ephemerol” Music Video

On November 11th, Downfall Of Gaia will release their fourth full-length, Atrophy, via Metal Blade Records. A video for the new single, "Ephemerol", can be seen below.

The band comments: "We are pleased to share the second single of our upcoming record with you guys! “Ephemerol” represents the centrepiece of the story told on Atrophy and captures the overall mood of the album in a visual way! The video was directed, shot & edited by Martin Neumann back in September/October and we hope you will enjoy his work as much as we do!"

Recorded in June 2016 at Hidden Planet Studio Berlin with Jan Oberg, Atrophy was mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden Studio in San Francisco, CA, and is a record about the absurdity of life and human existence - an album about the constant dialog between life and death.

Downfall of Gaia is a dark wall, moving forward relentlessly, enveloping the listener, absorbing one's spirit to take one into the realm of the band's potent sound. Founded in 2008 and having undergone several line-up changes, the quartet is now comprised of the two founding members Dominik Goncalves dos Reis (guitar and vocals) and Anton Lisovoj (bass and vocals), plus Marco Mazzola (guitar) and Michael Kadnar (drums), who are located respectively in Berlin, Hamburg, and New York City. Although the group's roots lie within the DIY / crust scene, Downfall of Gaia has expanded their sound to incorporate elements of black, doom, and sludge metal. For their efforts, the band has earned many "album of the year" accolades - and with their upcoming release, Atrophy, they will surely earn praise from media and fans alike, once again.

Switzerland’s EPHEDRA Sign To Argonauta Records; New Album Due In January

Switzerland’s EPHEDRA Sign To Argonauta Records; New Album Due In January

Argonauta Records welcomes heavy instrumental stoner rockers Ephedra from Switzerland to their roster. The four heavy rockers from Zofingen have their musical roots all over the place, reaching from stoner rock, metal, hardcore punk to death metal.

If you hear the band’s music for the first time, you’ll notice the different influences moving along between dreamy space melodies and the sound of a tractor refuelled with kerosene.

The band says: “We are stoked and excited to be part of the Argonauta Records family. This is a huge landmark in the history of Ephedra and will hopefully spread the band’s name all over the place.”

Founded in 2012 by bass player Kilian and drummer Tomi to have a fun project that should go in the direction of Kyuss, Karma To Burn and Monster Magnet, they went through some lineup changes in their early days before completing their current lineup with the two guitarist Andy and Roman in 2013.

Their self-titled debut was released in August 2013 and available here.

Being asked to support the Midnight Ghost Train, this show changed the band’s spirit forever. They knew now that they wanted to play as many shows as possible. Over the past two years they played in Germany, Poland, Austria and Switzerland, sharing stages with bands such as Electric Wizard, Truckfighters, Yawning Man, Monkey 3, 1000 Mods, Karma To Burn, Sasquatch, Elder, Greenleaf, The Midnight Ghost Train, Goatess and Pentagram.

Ephedra went back into the studio at the Foolpark Studios, Luzern, to record their second album, Can’- Ka No Rey, which is named after a place in Stephen King’s fantasy saga, The Dark Tower, and will be released on CD/DD via Argonauta Records on January 30th.

GONE IS GONE Feat. MASTODON, AT THE DRIVE-IN, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Members:

GONE IS GONE Feat. MASTODON, AT THE DRIVE-IN, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Members: 'Gift' Video

"Gift", the new video from GONE IS GONE, the new project featuring MASTODON's Troy Sanders, AT THE DRIVE-IN's Tony Hajjar, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's Troy Van Leeuwen and guitarist-keyboardist Mike Zarin, can be seen below. The song is taken from GONE IS GONE's debut album, "Echolocation", which will be released on January 6, 2017 via their imprint label Black Dune Records in partnership with Rise Records/BMG.

Recorded at Sencit Studios in Los Angeles (with additional tracking at Casa De Leones Studios), "Echolation" was produced by the band and mixed by Ken Andrews of FAILURE (BECK, A PERFECT CIRCLE).

Zarin commented on the new album: "We were able to expand on ideas that were explored early on and really build on them. By the time we got to working on the album, everything had clicked and we knew 'this is what this is going to be.' And that made a huge difference."

"Echolocation" track listing:

01. Sentient02. Gift03. Resurge04. Dublin05. Ornament06. Pawns07. Colourfade08. Roads09. Slow Awakening10. Fast Awakening11. Resolve12. Echolocation

GONE IS GONE's self-titled debut EP was released on July 8 via Black Dune/Rise.

Asked where the band's name came from, Sanders told NME: "We were honing in on things that were very human, relatable, real, and as far away from anything pretentious as possible. We were discussing subject matter of frailty and things that every human can relate to — love, loss, life, experience and opportunity and all things frail and fragile. The phrase 'what's done is done' or 'what's gone is gone' — you need to seize these opportunities now and make the most of it, reward yourself and fulfill yourself while the time is now.

"We think it's relatable and we're not trying to be anything that we're not. The level of pretentiousness is below zero — it's minus eleven, it's out of the fuckin' picture. This band was organically created and it's formed and has got to where it is now very naturally. It's all from the heart and it means the world to us."

Sanders also called GONE IS GONE "therapeutic." He explained: "I've learned it's a very healthy thing to do to jam with other people. Whether it's sitting for 30 minutes in someone else's practice room and just jamming with somebody, or learning a cover song together, or writing something together — any kind of collaboration I think is a healthy thing. You pull different positives from different people.

"For the bulk of the past 16 years, I've been very fortunate and proud to be in a band called MASTODON that followed the traditional cycle of write, record, tour-tour-tour, write, record, tour-tour-tour. It's worked out fantastic for us and I love every minute of it. However, when I get these brief periods away, and I'm doing something else that's creative musically, it just brings a refreshing feeling over me that hits a reset button. Every time I go back into the MASTODON world, I'm in such a great place mentally to dive headfirst in and give it all I've got."

GONE IS GONE made its live debut on April 27 at the Dragonfly in Los Angeles and completed a handful of dates in July.

Video Premiere: VOLBEAT

Video Premiere: VOLBEAT's 'Seal The Deal'

"Seal The Deal", the new video from Danish/American rock 'n' rollers VOLBEAT, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's sixth full-length album, "Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie", which was released on June 3 via Republic Records.

VOLBEAT guitarist Rob Caggiano told TeamRock about the "Seal The Deal" track: "We already had the album title before we wrote this song, and as is the case with all these songs, they came together musically before we had any lyrics. But this song, to me, very much has the spirit of MOTÖRHEAD in it."

He continued: "We were originally talking about covering a MOTÖRHEAD song in tribute to Lemmy, but when [drummer] Brandon [Carlisle] from TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET passed away, that kind of changed our plan. So we made the title track a kind of indirect tribute to Lemmy and MOTÖRHEAD."

VOLBEAT frontman Michael Poulsen explained the story behind the "Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie" album title. He said: "When I write, I'm pretty much locked into this bubble. And sometimes when I come out, I have no idea where I've been or where I got the idea from. And going back to where I came up with the title, I really don't remember. I think it popped up when I was writing the song called 'Seal The Deal' and things just popped up improvising, and I said, 'Well…that sounds pretty good.' And I pretty much used that title on every song somehow, because you can analyze the title in many different directions. So I think I came up with the title when I was writing the song 'Seal The Deal'."

Asked how VOLBEAT deals with the fact that fans sometimes worry that each new album from the band is going to be softer than the previous one, Michael told Studio Brussel: "We don't. [Laughs] We do what we do, and we love what we're doing. And we're just progressing as a band. Sometimes people think the next record is too heavy or too soft. It depends on which ears are listening to it. We don't care too much about it. We are VOLBEAT and we found our signature sound and style on the first record. And there's a lot of new songs that could be on the first record, but then again, we're also progressing as a band, so maybe some of the songs are a little bit more soft, but there will always be metal influences and… We don't care too much about it. We just like to write songs and be on the road. We would never like to be on the road if we didn't care about what we were doing. So who knows? Maybe the next record will be an extreme metal album. It really depends on where you are when you sit down and write. So we don't think too much about it."

SECRET SPHERE: Listen To New Version Of

SECRET SPHERE: Listen To New Version Of 'Lie To Me' Feat. Ex-NIGHTWISH Singer ANETTE OLZON

"Lie To Me" the studio bonus track that is included on SECRET SPHERE's first live album, titled "One Night In Tokyo", can be streamed below. The is a duet with former NIGHTWISH singer Anette Olzon.

"One Night In Tokyo" was released on October 14 via Frontiers Music Srl.

SECRET SPHERE are without a doubt one of the most well-known metal bands in Japan, with a solid fan base there since their inception in 1997. All their albums have been released in Japan and in fact, it is the only country where you can find SECRET SPHERE's very rare, original debut demo tape, officially released as a special edition item there. That says a lot about the respect and affection that the fans in the Land Of The Rising Sun have for Aldo LoNobile's band. During the band's last Japanese tour, in support of the special anniversary edition of the band's "A Time Never Come" album, SECRET SPHERE had the chance to record their show in Tokyo in its entirety, which included all the band's major hits: "Legend", "Under The Flag Of Mary Read", plus the melodic metal gems taken from the latest album "Portrait Of A Dying Heart". Featuring vocalist extraordinaire Michele Luppi (now also keyboard player with WHITESNAKE), the show was one for the ages. The result is a genuine performance in a very warm atmosphere, a night to remember, where the band played all their classic songs with true passion. The same passion that you can expect from the band's next release, currently in the writing stages. Aldo Lonobile says: "Since I started the band, the idea of recording our first live album in Japan, was the ultimate goal! All my musical heroes described their experiences in Japan with a happiness and a warmth that you could almost feel. That was the truth, among the most loyal fans in the world, and I am 100% happy that Frontiers liked the idea to release our first live album!" To enhance the celebration, the band agreed to the label's suggestion to release a brand new version of "Lie To Me", featuring an outstanding duet between Michele Luppi and former NIGHTWISH singer Anette Olzon. Released originally on "Portrait of A Dying Heart", the video reached almost one million views and this new version shows a depth and a reach that makes it even better compared to the original!

"This album feels like total synergy between the three of us,” says guitar player Tosin Abasi. “None of this music would have turned out the same way without the equal inclusion of all of our musical ideas and that feel special. We're beyond thrilled with the result."

Reyes also commented on the symbiotic nature of the new album, adding, “The Madness Of Many is an explorative and ambitious journey of harmony, rhythm, musical expression and emotion. RIK EMMETT

RIK EMMETT's RESOLUTION9: Lyric Video For 'End Of The Line' Feat. ALEX LIFESON, JAMES LABRIE

TRIUMPH legend Rik Emmett and his new band, RESOLUTION9, will release their electrifying new album, "Res 9", worldwide on November 11 via Mascot Label Group. "Res 9" features contributions from RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson, DREAM THEATER vocalist James LaBrie, and Rik Emmett's onetime TRIUMPH bandmates, bassist Mike Levine and drummer Gil Moore.

The lyric video for the track "End Of The Line", featuring guest appearances by LaBrie and Lifeson, can be seen below.

"This album represents a journey through my life," Emmett observes, "and the idea behind a lot of these songs is me trying to figure out who I am, and why I'm doing what I'm doing. There's a common thread of positivity here that ties into the records I was making 30 years ago. What did I learn from making them? You'll hear all of that echoed in the grooves of this album."

Indeed, the scope of the eleven deeply heartfelt songs on "Res 9" covers a lot of exciting aural ground, from the out-of-the-gate gallop of "Human Race" (which also features a driving 12-string contribution from Lifeson) to the testifying tones of "My Cathedral" to the whispering blues of "The Ghost of Shadow Town", not to mention the cutting-heads guitar duels on "End Of The Line" and the touching album-closing bonus track "Grand Parade". which reunites Emmett with Levine and Moore. The RESOLUTION9 band itself is comprised of Rik's touring quartet, with Dave Dunlop on guitar, Steve Skingley on bass and keyboards, and Paul DeLong on drums. Dunlop and Skingley also co-produced "Res 9" with Emmett.

Emmett is a strong believer in teamwork, and to him, the overall vibe of "Res 9" is clearly reflected in the brotherhood and camaraderie shared amongst all the artists who made this special music together. "You can't accomplish this kind of project 100 percent by yourself," Emmett believes. "It takes a lot of things working together to make something like this happen. I come back to the old saying that goes, 'Success has many fathers, and failure is an orphan.' I knew that I had to spread it all around. It's important I keep the guys in my band pretty happy."

Lead track "Human Race" masterfully sets the positivity table for what's to come. "I've been around the block a few times, and one of the things I like about the lyrics in 'Human Race' is when we get to the last verse where it says, 'I am still this guy. I still live this.' That's very true," Emmett acknowledges. "There's also a line in there about raising a joyful noise — and I still want to do that too."

Lifeson added some period-perfect 12-string guitar alongside Emmett and Dunlop to buttress the impact of "Human Race", and he says he found it quite an honor to play with and for his lifelong friend. "When Rik asked me to play on his new album, I didn't hesitate for a second," Lifeson reports. "He's the consummate musician, a wonderful guitarist, and a terrific person, and it's always my pleasure to work with him any chance I can get. There is a rock purity in his songwriting and performance, and it's just so much fun to get together and throw ideas around. He's always so up and open for anything — even a notoriously uncooperative Rickenbacker 12-string!" Dunlop points out the way RESOLUTION9 meshed with Lifeson "stands as a great example of the collective efforts of the brotherhood."

Another one of "Res 9"'s honored guests, LaBrie, lent his own considerable talents to a pair of tracks, "I Sing" and "End Of The Line" (the latter of which also features Lifeson taking the third guitar solo), and he jumped at the chance to record with his fellow Canadian.

"I've been extremely blessed and fortunate to meet so many great musicians and beautiful people throughout my career, and to have the opportunity to collaborate and record with some of them is really icing on the cake," LaBrie notes. "What a thrill it was to record with Rik, who is such an incredible musician and overall down-to-earth cool guy." About the slow-build manifesto of "I Sing", Skingley enthuses, "James sang his ass off on that song!" Adds Dunlop, "I enjoyed tracking the guitars on 'I Sing' the most because I got to go crazy with several layers of guitars — and I also got to channel [PINK FLOYD's] David Gilmour on the outro."

A fair amount of the album was recorded and mixed at Mississauga, Ontario's MetalWorks Studios, a location where Emmett, Levine and Moore (who owns the studio) recorded many of TRIUMPH's greatest works — and it's also where the trio convened to tackle "Grand Parade". Clarifies Emmett, "The TRIUMPH song is a bonus track. That's the best way to position it. It's like 'Suitcase Blues' [the last track on TRIUMPH's 1979 million-seller, 'Just A Game'] — or 'Her Majesty' at the end of Abbey Road!"

Having TRIUMPH involved on "Res 9" to some degree was always on the table. "I play 'Suitcase Blues' as the last song of the night in the encore for my acoustic shows. I dedicate it to Mike and Gil and the fact that they gave me the latitude to do the crazy things that I do," Emmett laughs. "As I was developing the lyrics for 'Grand Parade', I started thinking, 'Wouldn't it be great if I could get Mike and Gil to play on it? Wouldn't that just bring everything full circle?' One thing led to another, and there we were, recording in MetalWorks. Things just lined up perfectly."

Levine had a great time in the studio with his former bandmates. "We rocked it up a bit, and Gil made the drums heavier than they were on the demo," the bassist notes. "Once I paid deeper attention to the lyrics, I really got into the 'let's wrap up this late night' kind of feel to it. I think it turned out really fantastic. I told Rik I felt it was a really cool tune, one that was very personal for all of us. I'm really, really proud of it, and it was great to work with both Rik and Gil on it. It was really neat."

Moore wholly enjoyed the "Grand Parade" experience. "It was really a pleasure to have Rik and his band at MetalWorks, and getting to see him there every day was just like the old days," the drummer recounts. "I always liked how Rik was able to bring another dimension and another color palette to what we were doing, and I like the spacious bass and drum tracks we did together. That's what's always been in my wheelhouse, as far as my playing is concerned. I'm really happy with how this song turned out. I hope we get to do it again."

Emmett's ultimate goal for "Res 9" is to connect with as many people as possible. "The context of this entire album for me was, 'Wow, somebody tossed me a lifeline,'" he concludes. "I still want to make positive music and offer people something that's motivating and inspiring — and I want to do it for myself too. I need music, and music can provide that lifeline for me." Mission accomplished: "I've got a thirst for life," as Emmett sings on "Human Race". And you'll find that thirst being quenched quite handily in the very heartbeats that percolate within all eleven tracks of "Res 9". Drink up.

"Res 9" track listing:

01. Stand Still02. Human Race (feat. Alex Lifeson)03. I Sing (feat. James LaBrie)04. My Cathedral05. The Ghost Of Shadow Town06. When You Were My Baby07. Sweet Tooth08. Heads Up09. Rest Of My Life10. THE AGONIST Pays Tribute To DAVID BOWIE With

THE AGONIST Pays Tribute To DAVID BOWIE With 'The Man Who Fell To Earth' Song

The official lyric video for "The Man Who Fell To Earth", a new song from Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based melodic death metallers THE AGONIST, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's latest album, "Five", which was released on September 30 via and Napalm Records. The CD was recorded with producer Mike Plotnikoff, who has previously worked with BUCKCHERRY, OTEP, HALESTORM, DROWNING POOL, THEORY OF A DEADMAN, 3 DOORS DOWN, FEAR FACTORY, FLYLEAF and SKILLET, among others.

Regarding the inspiration for "The Man Who Fell To Earth", THE AGONIST guitarist Danny Marino said: "When the news broke this year of David Bowie's death, it hit me pretty hard. Especially because of how his last album, 'Blackstar', turned into more than just a new record but a swan song of an artist still breaking boundaries even today.

"I had an instrumental that I knew was outside the box for THE AGONIST and felt I could make this a Bowie dedication.

"I used a lyric-writing method called 'cut-ups' that I had heard Bowie himself used. It is when you find books or magazines surrounding the topic you are writing about and cut out individual words, and rearrange them until it starts to form a story. I used album reviews of his last album that were written before it was known he was dying. In the end, the result comes out as a eulogy to be read at his funeral. I'm really happy with the dark vibe we achieved in studio with this one."

"Five" track listing:

01. The Moment02. The Chain03. The Anchor and The Sail04. The Game05. The Ocean06. The Hunt07. The Raven Eyes08. The Wake09. The Resurrection10. The Villain11. The Pursuit of Emptiness12. The Man Who Fell to Earth13. The Trial14. Take Me to Church (HOZIER cover) (bonus edition only)

Watch FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Perform In San Jose, California

Watch FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Perform In San Jose, California

Fan-filmed video footage of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's October 31 performance at SAP Center in San Jose, California can be seen below.

As previously reported, the second volume of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's two "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell" releases was officially certified gold on October 21 by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales in excess of 500,000 copies. The certification comes eight months after RIAA started including on-demand audio and video streams and a track sale equivalent in gold and platinum album award.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH was the recipient of two other sales awards this year. Back in February, the band's 2009 album "War Is The Answer" was certified platinum while the group's latest effort, 2015's "Got Your Six", went gold this past August.

The first volume of "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell" was certified gold in March 2015.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH bassist Chris Kael told Metal Covenant about the band's extraordinary commercial success: "It's something that we're well aware of. Honestly, we are lucky in the sense that, in an age where people aren't buying a whole lot of records, we still have support from the fans, who know that in order for us to be able to tour the world, and to be able to put on the big type of shows that we have, that's an important part of the entire puzzle, and fans are well aware of that on our end. And, you know, they support us and are chomping at the bit to get out in the stores and buy [our next album]."

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH recently signed a North American deal with Rise Records. The band's first album with Rise, the BMG-owned rock label, will be released following the completion of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's obligation to its current label, Prospect Park.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's current co-headlining arena tour with SHINEDOWN kicked off on October 18 in Little Rock, Arkansas and will run into December. SIXX A.M. and AS LIONS are along as support.

BRING ME THE HORIZON Releases Cinematic

BRING ME THE HORIZON Releases Cinematic 'Oh No' Video

"Oh No", the new video from the British metalcore group BRING ME THE HORIZON, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Isaac Eastgate, who has previously worked with SPRING KING and LA PRIEST, among others.

"This is the first video I've took a step back from creatively and let the director take full control," BRING ME THE HORIZON singer Oli Sykes tells Rolling Stone. "At first, I was apprehensive but when it all came together I was psyched on it. It's got a good balance of humor and meaning, and it's a video that leaves you with a lot of questions."

Sykes said in a recent interview that he hopes to "push it a bit weirder" on BRING ME THE HORIZON's next album.

Even though he believes BRING ME THE HORIZON took a different direction on its latest release, "That's The Spirit", the frontman admits the group didn't venture too far outside its comfort zone while making the record. He told NME: "People thought 'That's The Spirit' was a very polished pop rock album. It's not. I think it’s inventive and unique, but it's still safe in a way. We knew the songs were going to connect well with people. Next time I think we want to push it a bit weirder. Who knows?"

Sykes said BRING ME THE HORIZON might experiment with "a darker, dance-y kind of sound" on its next album, namechecking LINKIN PARK and MASSIVE ATTACK as influences. He added: "That's my favorite part — it's something we do that comes across really well live you know when the song to us has a breakdown or like a heavy dance kind of vibe to it. You know, there's not many acts like that. If there was some bridge between what we're doing, somewhere between artists like PRODIGY or MASSIVE ATTACK and stuff like that."

He continued: "I don't know especially if we're thinking like festivals and stuff, then I like that idea like a darker dance-y kind of sound, but I'm literally just… I'm thinking out loud here, 'cause we could go completely opposite to that, you know."

Oli said that BRING ME THE HORIZON will probably take "at least a good month" off before they begin writing again. He explained: "It's been an intense year for us, and not just in professional terms but, like, personal too. Some of the band have had a lot on their plates and stuff. We do enjoy writing organically and letting something happen, but we've been working pretty relentlessly for the last album.

"We need to maybe take a break. [Keyboardist] Jordan's [Fish] got a kid now, people have got families and stuff. We need to take a bit of time to chill out and then really get hungry to write again.

"It's going to be a tough one, because we never want to write the same album again. I don't even know what it's going to sound like, but it's going to sound different."

THE MURDER OF MY SWEET To Release

THE MURDER OF MY SWEET To Release 'Echoes Of The Aftermath' Album In January

Frontiers Music Srl will release THE MURDER OF MY SWEET's fourth studio album, "Echoes Of The Aftermath", on January 27, 2017. 2015 saw THE MURDER OF MY SWEET reunite with their original label home, Frontiers, for the release of their concept album "Beth Out of Hell", a magnificent album that was described as "almost Wagnerian in style" (Sonic Cathedral) and favorably compared to such masterpieces as QUEENSRŸCHE's "Operation: Mindcrime" by the U.K.'s Powerplay.

"Echoes Of The Aftermath" musically follows on the heels of the previous record, with a more straight-ahead songwriting approach, but still offering the symphonic and cinematic elements the band is now well-known for. "Echoes Of The Aftermath" showcases a Nordic sound that the members of the band grew up listening to and lyrically takes on issues in tune with our modern day life. Drummer/producer Daniel Flores says: "During the process of writing 'Beth Out Of Hell' with Angelica, I came up with lots of riffs, melodies and music that didn't necessarily fit the concept of the album. The inspiration and creative buzz from those songwriting sessions stayed with us and helped us come up with a new album very quickly. And, of course, the warm reception from fans and media had a helping hand too. I'm personally also really proud of the sonic impact of this record, I've learnt so much during these past years working with Frontiers and I'm so glad I can showcase this in full force on this album. The guys in the band are feeling very creative these days and thanks to the fans we are able to give you our 'Echoes Of The Aftermath'! Singer Angelica Rylin adds: "For me, the writing process for this album became a way to reconnect with my Nordic roots. I've always been a fan of John Bauer (Swedish painter and illustrator) and his portraits of Swedish folklore and fairy tales was a big inspiration for me. And it was a nice break from 'Beth', who had become such a big part of my life for a very long time." "Echoes Of The Aftermath" track listing:

FOO FIGHTERS

FOO FIGHTERS' TAYLOR HAWKINS To Release 'Kota' Mini-Album

With more than 20 years (and counting) on the FOO FIGHTERS drum throne and detours with the COATTAIL RIDERS and BIRDS OF SATAN, Taylor Hawkins reluctantly steps into the spotlight with his first-ever album released under his own name, "Kota".

Whatever "Kota" means, the six-song mini-LP takes off like QUEEN on a skateboard, featuring Hawkins on lead vocals and nearly every instrument, with help from a few comrades in arms. From the hypnotic groove of opener "Range Rover Bitch" through the closing rave-up "I've Got Some Not Being Around You To Do Today", "Kota" mixes Hawkins' chops and influences with a true-to-life cast of characters to create a meditation on life as a rock star stranded in the suburbs. It's a short, sweet series of vignettes, but one that still strives to honor the tradition of BLUR's "Parklife" and THE KINKS' "Are The Village Green Preservation Society".

Pre-orders and first single "Range Rover Bitch" are available now at www.taylorhawkins.com.

"Kota" track listing:

01. Range Rover Bitch02. Bob Quit His Job03. Southern Belles04. Rudy05. Tokyo No No06. I've Got Some Not Being Around You To Do Today

FOO FIGHTERS are currently on hiatus for probably the rest of 2016 after touring extensively last year.
