ROTH BROCK PROJECT Featuring WINGER, STARSHIP, GIANT Members Launch EPK Video For Upcoming Debut AlbumRoth Brock Project have released an EPK (Electronic Press Kit) their self-titled debut album, scheduled for release on November 4th. The EPK is streaming below.
The Roth Brock Project is the exciting artistic union between guitarist John Roth (Winger, Starship, Giant) and singer Terry Brock (Strangeways, Giant, Leroux). The pair first met in 2009 while working on Giant's Promise Land record. They soon developed a unique songwriting chemistry and musical bond which all these years later has led to their debut release. Powerhouse vocals and thundering guitars are at the forefront of this stellar collaboration from two of rock's most seasoned and underrated veterans.
John Roth landed his first gig at the age of 19, with Southern boogie rock legends Black Oak Arkansas in 1986, and soon found himself in demand for recording and touring with the likes of Jimi Jamison (R.I.P.) of Survivor, and '80s rock legends, Winger. Terry Brock's first job in the music business was as a vocalist on the Kansas album Drastic Measures in 1983, which was soon followed by a tour with the Steve Morse Band and two albums with Strangeways (who were signed to BMG/RCA Records). Terry is currently on tour with Louisiana's Leroux, while John is on tour with Starship featuring Mickey Thomas.
"The Roth Brock Project is the kind of record I've been wanting to make for a long time!” says John Roth. “Guitar-driven high energy rock with stellar vocals is the first thing you'll hear when you put this album on, so get ready to crank it up!”

CIVIL WAR Launch The Last Full Measure Album TeasersSweden's Civil War will release their new album, The Last Full Measure, on November 4th via Napalm Records. The quintet featuring former Sabaton members present twin guitars, keyboard-fanfares and double bassmarches. The band have released two teasers for the album, which can be found below.

VADER Premier “Angels Of Steel” Lyric VideoVader have released a lyric video for “Angels Of Steel”, the lead track from their new studio album, The Empire, to be released on November 4th via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to their 2014 album, Tibi Et Igni, was recorded at Hertz Studios in Bialystok, Poland and produced by Wojtek and Slawek Wiesawski.
The album artwork was created by artist Joe Petagno (Led Zeppelin, Motörhead, Sodom).
Says Vader leader Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek: "Here is the cover art for The Empire, created by Joe Petagno himself! The whole design includes many details connected to the main theme influencing me before and during the process of recording: war and the "cold crisis" around us today. There are also links to couple of famous movie series, which influence the generations and erupt with violence, hate and "imperial tendencies". Is this just a fantasy or maybe a sign of the 21st century generation? You have to answer that on your own... and the future will show us, how real that feeling is? Enjoy The Empire and join us on tour soon.”

Luca Turilli's RHAPSODY Launch Video Trailer For Prometheus, The Dolby Atmos Experience + Cinematic And LiveThe latest album from Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus, was chosen to be the first studio album in music history to be remixed in Dolby Atmos. Renowned producer/mixing engineer Chris Heil (Scorpions, David Bowi) mixed the entire masterpiece in Dolby Atmos - the mindblowing result will be submitted for the 2017 Grammy nominations. Prometheus, The Dolby Atmos Experience + Cinematic And Live will be released December 9th via Nuclear Blast.
Check out a new video trailer:
Luca Turilli, responsible for composition and orchestra- and choir-arrangements states: "The new Dolby Atmos sound fits perfectly with Luca Turilli's Rhapsody music just as the Rhapsody music - emotional, visionary and cinematic in its nature - is perfect to showcase the potential of an amazing technology destined to revolutionize the field of immersive audio's experience. From a composer's point of view, Dolby Atmos is like the advent of a canvas with colors in three dimensional space. It enables me to place the band, orchestra and choir around me like I would in a real life situation, granting to the listener an emotional and breathtaking journey in a parallel dimension. Every instrument can finally breathe and live in three dimensions, turning the Dolby Atmos version of Rhapsody's music into a divine, musical experience of transcendence. No limits for creativity anymore. This new Dolby technology allows my heart and soul to finally express themselves with complete freedom and exciting force!"
But what actually is Dolby Atmos?
Cinemas discovered this new format and integrated loud speakers in their ceilings to place the listener into an 'acoustic honeycomb’.
"This novelty has now reached the home technology and we at Yamaha wanted to support the project of Luca Turilli's Rhapsody with an audio blu-ray-disc in Dolby Atmos“, Michael Geise from Yamaha explains. "It's a very thrilling challenge and makes this release a vivid and new experience. And since we are always looking for new contents, the cooperation with Luca Turilli was a great idea for us. Dolby Atmos is already included in our receivers and the customer can immediately use it - but so far only few releases support this new format and usually it is only available for films, not for music blu-rays. But now it is and we created a medium that could easily bring instruments to life, without any artificial effects. We had the know-how to turn this performance into a real live experience with our loudspeakers, receivers and the new sound bar that brings the musicians almost right into everyone's living room!"
Producer and mixer Chris Heil found Luca Turilli's Rhapsody almost by accident: "I heard excerpts from Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus in the studio right next to me and knew immediately that this was the material I wanted to use to showcase the potential of Dolby Atmos to the world. This kind of music is made for this format with its combination of band, orchestra and choir arrangements. I called Luca Turilli immediately to ask his permission to use the material and he immediately agreed.
The result of their two months long cooperation is a vivid combination of metal, filmscore and a wide variety of ethnic elements. "It is incredibly entertaining and inspiring to listen to the result. It's the first album in my 36-year career where I had to leave longer pauses between the tracks because you really need time to digest that bombastic sound. It's mindblowing," states Chris Heil. And Luca Turilli agrees: "Dolby Atmos will bring a revolution to the world of films and music and allows you to enjoy every release even more!"
Prometheus - The Dolby Atmos Experience (Audio Blu-ray) tracklisting:
“Nova Genesis (Ad Splendorem Angeli Triumphantis)”
“Il Cigno Nero”
“Rosenkreuz (The Rose And The Cross)”
“Anahata”
“Il Tempo Degli Dei”
“One Ring To Rule Them All”
“Notturno”
“Prometheus”
“King Solomon And The 72 Names Of God”
“Yggdrasil”
“Of Michael The Archangel And Lucifer's Fall Part II: Codex Nemesis”
This unique package will be completed by two brand-new live CDs, which were produced by Luca Turilli and Alex Landenburg, mixed by Christian "Moschus" Moos at Spacelab Studio (Grefrath, Germany) and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio (San Marino).
"Cinematic And Live is the first live product to be released by my Luca Turilli's Rhapsody band and represents the live album I always dreamed of. It was recorded in Italy, France, Germany and Spain in 2012 and 2016 and it almost includes all the songs played by Luca Turilli's Rhapsody until now. We recently played our show number 100 and this important release represents the perfect celebration for these last years of live activity around the world. Cinematic And Live features songs from both the »Ascending To Infinity« and the »Prometheus« cinematic tours and it includes over 120 minutes of Rhapsody music: the newest songs, the old classics and some titles from my solo discography, too. The mix of Christian "Moschus" Moos and the mastering of Simone Mularoni were the cherry on the cake for this live album sounding really powerful, soulful and emotional like no others, with the important live atmosphere adding a new and exciting dimension to Luca Turilli's Rhapsody's cinematic music!"

Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus was composed and produced once again by Luca Turilli, responsible as always of all the orchestral and choral arrangements. It was recorded and mixed at the Backyard Studios of Sebastian Roeder (Bonfire a.o.) and mastered by Christoph Stickel (Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock a.o.) at MSM studios.
Seven months of composition, three months of production, over 50 days of mix, two choirs, several special guests, including Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), Dan Lucas (Karo) and David Readman (Pink Cream 69). Including 70 minutes of epic music, sounding cinematic, bombastic and dramatic as never before, the new Rhapsody masterwork will lead the listener to an emotional and memorable journey between quantum gates, parallel dimensions, myths and legends hiding cosmic truths, ancestral secrets and spiritual revelations. 3

HEVIDENCE Streaming New Song “Miracle”Hevidence will release their debut album, Nobody’s Fault, on December 2nd. The album track “Miracle” is streaming below.
Hevidence is the brainchild of Italian guitar player Diego Reali, founding member of prog metal masters DGM. After he left the band in 2006, he started dabbling in some different musical styles, but his heart called for him to get back to metal. Thus Hevidence were born and Diego joined up with DGM bass player Andrea Arcangeli, singer Corrado Quoiani and drummer Emiliano Bonini.
"This band is highly inspired by the classic hard and heavy sounds from the '70s and '80s, that's why we worked hard to make this album sound the most vintage that was possible,” says Diego. “We are convinced that a huge dose of improvisation during the recording sessions is needed for the success of an original product. Everyone of us has many different musical influences and they came out in a very spontaneous way within the song writing process, we just believe in the word "ROCK"!”
Hevidence offer a mature and personal vision of hard rock and metal with a style reminiscent of the classic Official Yngwie Malmsteen albums mixed with power metal and melodic hard rock influences (think early Europe). An EPK where you can learn more about the band and hear song samples is streaming below.
The band will be launching the album with a special Release Party show in Roma at the Jailbreak LiveClub on December 1st. More info here.

Watch Ex-GUNS N' ROSES Drummer STEVEN ADLER Play 'Use Your Illusion' Song 'You Could Be Mine'Sumerian Records honcho Ash Avildsen has uploaded a video of his friend, former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler, playing along to the classic GN'R song "You Could Be Mine" in early October at Adler's house in Los Angeles. Check out the clip below.
Avildsen wrote on Instagram: "Here's something the world has never seen before. ADLER PLAYING YCBM!! I went to my friend Steven Adler's house and asked him to play one of my all time favorite GNR songs.. Just so damn good. He still has it after all the insanity he put himself through. It's nothing short of a miracle he can still play with his signature feel and swing. His return to stage at Dodger Stadium (and Cinci/Nashville) is one of the greatest underdog comeback stories in all of rock music. Once a star, always a threat. #GunsNRoses #YouCouldBeMine #StevenAdler we're making movies over here!!"
The studio version of "You Could Be Mine" appeared on GUNS N' ROSES' massive 30-song, two-and-a-half-hour opus "Use Your Illusion", which featured Matt Sorum on drums on all but one song ("Civil War").
Only singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan from the classic GUNS lineup have taken part in the band's current reunion, although Adler has shown up at a handful of dates to sit in on two songs with the group.
Speculation about Adler having some sort of involvement in the GUNS N' ROSES reunion has been rampant ever since the band made it official with a surprise April 1 show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles.
Adler was reportedly going to appear at that gig until he was sidelined by a back injury.
The regular GUNS N' ROSES drummer for several years has been Frank Ferrer, who is also part of the current lineup.
Adler was thrown out of GUNS N' ROSES in 1990 due to his heavy drug use, a problem he struggled with for years after his dismissal.
The South American leg of GUNS N' ROSES' "Not In This Lifetime" tour kicked off last night (Thursday, October 27) in Lima, Peru.

IN FLAMES' BJÖRN GELOTTE Shows You How To Play Three Killer Riffs From 'Battles' (Video)France's Guitare Xtreme magazine has uploaded a four-minute video clip of guitarist Björn Gelotte of Swedish metallers IN FLAMES showing you how to play three kller riffs from the band's new album, "Battles".
Featured songs:
* "Underneath My Skin" 0:40* "The End" 2:07* "Drained" 3:18
"Battles" will be released on November 11 via Nuclear Blast in all territories excluding North America and Scandinavia and Eleven Seven Music Group in the U.S. The CD was recorded in Los Angeles with Grammy-nominated producer Howard Benson, who has previously worked with MOTÖRHEAD, BODY COUNT and SEPULTURA, among others.
Gelotte talked about how the recording process for "Battles" compared to that of its predecessor, 2014's "Siren Charms".
"'Siren Charms' had a very dark vibe to it," he explained. "We recorded it at a cold, damp and dark time during the year in Berlin so it gave it a certain melancholy to the record. Now recording in L.A. with the sunshine, it's a different energy. The writing process was different this time, too — that I would like for us to continue to explore. Also, working with Howard and his team was great. I got stressed taking a break for even five minutes because they were always ready to go for the next take and kept my energy up."
"I think being in California really affected this album in the sense that we had a studio in the house that we were staying at and the vibe was really relaxed which lent itself to productivity," added vocalist Anders Fridén. "It really helped having a producer who could make us focus on what we needed to accomplish and keep us on track."
IN FLAMES drummer Daniel Svensson announced last fall that he was leaving the band to focus on his family life. He has since been replaced by Joe Rickard, who played on "Battles". 1

SERPENTINE DOMINION Feat. KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, CANNIBAL CORPSE Members: Entire Debut Album StreamingThe self-titled debut album from SERPENTINE DOMINION, the new band featuring KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, CANNIBAL CORPSE frontman George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher and ex-THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER drummer Shannon Lucas, can be streamed in its entirety in the YouTube clip below. The disc was made available on October 28 via Metal Blade.
"Serpentine Dominion" track listing:
01. Intro02. The Vengeance In Me03. Vanquished Unto Thee04. Divide, Conquer, Burn, And Destroy05. Sovereign Hate06. On The Brink Of Devastation07. Jagged Cross Legions08. Prelude09. This Endless War
The origins of SERPENTINE DOMINION can be traced back to 2009's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, which boasted a lineup that included KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, CANNIBAL CORPSE and THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. During that fateful summer, Dutkiewicz made a proposition to Fisher: "George, I want to write you a record." On the Mayhem fest tour, Lucas, who performed with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER through 2012, was tapped to record drums on the album. Between 2009 and 2016, CANNIBAL CORPSE and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE released three albums each, so scheduling time to work on SERPENTINE DOMINION was no easy feat — but when their rigorous schedules allowed, SERPENTINE DOMINION began to come together, with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE vocalist Jesse Leach penning the lyrics, which touch on corruption within the government, religion, big business, and other timely issues. Ultimately, though, this debut is a pure passion project; it was written and recorded simply for why musicians get into music in the first place: fun.
Dutkiewicz in 2013 spoke to Decibel magazine about how SERPENTINE DOMINION came together. He said: "When [KILLSWITCH] toured with CANNIBAL CORPSE and BLACK DAHLIA on the [Rockstar Energy Drink] Mayhem [Festival], I was just hanging out with George one night, and I was like, 'Dude, if I wrote you a bunch of songs to sing over, would you do it?' And he was like, 'Fuck yeah, man!'" he said.
Asked if this was material he had sitting around that he thought George would be good for, or if these were songs that were written specifically for George to sing, Adam said: "They were written specifically for him. He's one of my favorite singers of all time, and I thought there wouldn't be any harm in at least asking him. Once he said yes, it was like, 'Alright — let's go!'"
Regarding the musical direction of the new project, Adam said: "It's not straight death metal — there's some melodic elements in there — but it's much faster and more aggressive than KILLSWITCH is. And the drums are blazing, so Shannon is probably one of the only guys on the face of the earth who could pull this off."
Fisher told "The Jasta Show" last year that KILLSWITCH ENGAGE singer Jesse Leach ended up writing all the lyrics for SERPENTINE DOMINION. He explained: "I originally was going to write stuff [for the new band], and you know what? [Writing lyrics has] just never been my thing, and we were getting down to when I was supposed to go up there [and lay down my vocals]. And [Adam] just said, 'Look, I'll ask Jesse to write some stuff.' So he wrote it, and I just said I don't want no pro-religious crap 'cause I ain't about all that. Anyway, so it's more just about like getting revenge against corrupt motherfuckers and shit like that."
He continued: "And so [Jesse] wrote a bunch of lyrics and Adam arranged a lot of it, and then when I went up there, we recorded it in his bedroom of his house. And, basically, I would be, like, 'No, wait. We've gotta change this, fix that.' Maybe we'd tweak a word or take a word out or take a couple words out or take some lines out. We just basically fucked with it, you know? And I went up two [or] three different times [to work on the vocals]."

It's difficult to please people, because you get quite a lot of new fans that come to concerts, they want to hear the old songs, and some of the guys that have been coming for years have heard the old songs too much and they want something new, so it's a nightmare.
"You can never please everyone and it's actually a bit stupid trying, really," he continued. "Just put some good songs together and promote the new album, and that's where to be, really."
Byford added that he is mostly proud of all SAXON has achieved in its forty-year existence.
"Have SAXON achieved everything I initially dreamed the band could? More or less," he said. "There were certainly countries we probably could have been bigger in. Australia's one of them, places like that. I don't think our management at that time really thought we'd ever be anything more than a British band, you know what I mean? I don't think their vision included the world.
"It is a shame, because I think 'Wheels Of Steel' and those albums could have been much more in people's minds outside Europe. I mean, America was all right, we did okay in America, but other countries could have gone better, I think.
"But I think we've achieved most everything, really. You know, we're still making great albums, so I suppose that's something." 2

Former GILLAN Guitarist BERNIE TORMÉ To Release Triple Album, 'Dublin Cowboy'Following the success of his two recent crowd-funded albums, 2014's "Flowers & Dirt" and 2015's "Blackheart", former GILLAN guitarist Bernie Tormé has announced plans for a new album. "Dublin Cowboy" will be a triple album comprising a studio CD, an acoustic CD and a live CD. The album is scheduled for release in March 2017 and, again, fans are being asked to support the production and release of the album via a pledge-funding appeal.
The success of Tormé's two recent solo albums heralded the start of a real career renaissance for the guitarist. Both albums were assisted by highly successful pledge-funding campaigns that helped reconnect Bernie with long-standing fans as well as bringing new ones. "Dublin Cowboy" continues that renaissance.
Says Tormé: "When I made the last two albums, 'Flowers & Dirt' and 'Blackheart', I really loved the fact that I was able to be hands-on and communicate directly to fans. As an independent musician, that was a really positive experience — so much better than the past when the cold, dead, (and also pretty judgmental) hand of the corporate music industry (in the shape of a record company) laid over everything you tried to do. It was also really great being able to go out and tour 'Flowers & Dirt' and 'Blackheart'; we would not have been able to do that without getting a new album out through PledgeMusic and the crowdfunding process.
"We will be going out to tour 'Dublin Cowboy' in April 2017, after its release, and you can jam with us or just hang out: I can't wait to go out and tour the stuff we've been working on!
"The new triple album is called 'Dublin Cowboy', basically, because I am from Dublin! Not sure about the 'Cowboy' bit! I really wanted to do a 'big' album that gave me a chance to do lots of things that I had not done before, like the acoustic album. Doing an acoustic album really is a first for me, and I find that really exciting and a challenge; I've got some great really cosmic stuff planned for it!
"The studio album and the live album will rock big-time. Lots of exciting new stuff planned for the studio album too!"

SEPULTURA To Release 'Machine Messiah' Album In JanuaryBrazilian/American metallers SEPULTURA will release their new studio album, "Machine Messiah", on January 13 via Nuclear Blast. Inspired by the robotization of our society, the disc was produced by the band and Jens Bogren (SOILWORK, OPETH, KATATONIA, AMON AMARTH) of Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden. The CD's stunning cover artwork was created by Filipino artist Camille Della Rosa.
SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser states: "I found the work of Camille Della Rosa during some research I was doing to look for alternative artists to work on the cover of our new album. I had the concept in my mind and the name of the album, 'Machine Messiah', but that didn't matter much since I was looking for different styles and ideas, different artists. When I saw her paintings, I was really impressed by her style, full of colours and meaning, very unique and alive! She comes from the Philippines, a place where we performed some years ago and we could feel the intensity of their culture, very powerful! She has that power in her paintings and drawings!"
He continues: "The main inspiration around 'Machine Messiah' is the robotisation of our society nowadays. The concept of a God Machine who created humanity and now it seems that this cycle is closing itself, returning to the starting point. We came from machines and we are going back to where we came from. The messiah, when he returns, will be a robot, or an humanoid, our bio-mechanical savior.
"The painting 'Deus Ex-Machina' is a masterpiece! I was really shocked to see how her concept of the painting was a perfect fit to our concept! The cover was done six years ago for our new album and she didn't know it! Neither did I, but I'm glad we crossed each others paths.
"Camille's work is intense and in your face. We are lucky to have such a great artist working with us; she's kind and very talented. She brings something new and exciting to a career of 32 years during which amazing artists have created memorable and iconic album covers."
Kisser adds: ""I'm very happy with everything about 'Machine Messiah'. It is a SEPULTURA album but with a new direction and intensity, a new musical challenge, a step forward! Can't wait to show the world our music for the new Messiah coming."
"Machine Messiah" track listing:
01. Machine Messiah02. I Am The Enemy03. Phantom Self04. Alethea05. Iceberg Dances06. Sworn Oath07. Resistant Parasites08. Silent Violence09. Vandals Nest10. Cyber God
SEPULTURA played the song "I Am The Enemy" during their July 2 appearance at the Rock Al Parque festival at Parque Simón Bolívar in Bogota, Colombia. Video footage of the performance can be seen below.
Regarding how SEPULTURA ended up working with Jens Bogren on the new CD, Kisser told SVT.se: "We did like a small research on different producers that we didn't work [with] before; we wanted to work with somebody new. And the Swedish music and scene and the bands like MESHUGGAH, OPETH and many others inspired us to come here and to work with him. He also worked with KREATOR, a band from Germany, and ANGRA, another band from Brazil, friends of ours, and I was really impressed with the way he worked [with] both bands."
According to SEPULTURA singer Derrick Green, the band's next record will see him and his bandmates continuing to take their sound in new, previously unexplored directions, something that has become somewhat of a SEPULTURA trademark.
"This album, it's exciting, because I think a lot of fans don't have any idea what to expect, but they know that a SEPULTURA album is always different from the last," Derrick said. "I think that makes us better musicians, and I think that's what our fans expect." 17

Watch First-Ever Live Performance By ART OF ANARCHY Feat. SCOTT STAPP, BUMBLEFOOT, JOHN MOYERART OF ANARCHY, the band featuring CREED singer Scott Stapp alongside DISTURBED bassist John Moyer and ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, made its live debut on Thursday, October 27 at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City. The group performed all brand new songs, including the first single, "The Madness", which was recently serviced to Active Rock radio.
Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be seen below.
Thal said in an interview with TeamRock that Scott Stapp is thriving as the group's new lead singer, adding that the band is providing a healthy environment for Stapp as he continues his fight to stay sober. Thal explained: "The band, ART OF ANARCHY, is drug free. Me and the Votta brothers [guitarist Jon and drummer Vince] have never even smoked a cigarette, none of us drink, have never done drugs, never smoked pot or anything like that."
Thal continued: "So that's good, because the last thing you need on the road if you're trying to stay clean is a bunch of people doing that around you. Scott is doing well... It's great that he has a strong family and a lot of people that care and support and that were there to help him get out of that situation. Now he's better than ever."
The CREED frontman joined the band earlier this year, following a highly publicized, drug-enhanced meltdown in late 2014, after which he entered rehab program and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
Stapp told The Pulse Of Radio he was touring as a solo artist again when he was approached about joining. "I really wasn't looking for a band, but I was definitely curious," he said. "I wanted to see what it was all about. I love writing with talented people and I think that's really what made the decision for me, was to sit in a room with Ron, Jon and Vince and throw out ideas, trade ideas and realize, 'Hey, there's something that could come of this.'"
ART OF ANARCHY released a self-titled debut album last year that featured former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS singer Scott Weiland.
Weiland, whom STP parted ways with in 2002 and again in 2013, died last December.
Thal joined GUNS N' ROSES in 2006 and stayed in the band for eight years, playing on the 2008 album "Chinese Democracy". He has also released a number of solo CDs.

THE PRETTY RECKLESS Breaks Rock Chart RecordAccording to The Pulse Of Radio, THE PRETTY RECKLESS have broken a record set by 3 DOORS DOWN and have now seen their first four mainstream singles hit No. 1 on Billboard's rock chart. The band's new song, "Take Me Down", topped the chart this week, following in the footsteps of "Heaven Knows", "Messed Up World" and "Follow Me Down" from 2014's "Going To Hell" album. That broke the group's tie with 3 DOORS DOWN and put them in a position to tie or break the next record, five No. 1 singles, which is owned for now by Canada's THREE DAYS GRACE.
THE PRETTY RECKLESS also now have the most No. 1 singles by a female-fronted rock act.
"Take Me Down" is from the band's third studio set, "Who You Selling For", which arrived last Friday (October 21).
THE PRETTY RECKLESS singer Taylor Momsen told The Pulse Of Radio that the band's goals for making the new disc were simple. "Our goal with this record was to try not to try, to have everything be very relaxed, everything very organic," she said. "So everything was done very organically and I think in the studio we very much kept with that ethic. Not that that's a new ethic for us, but we just went further down that path of 'try not to try' and really try to capture the performance and, you know, for lack of a better word, that magic moment."
Momsen said in a recent interview that the new disc was "very eclectic" and "very diverse," adding, "It takes lots of turns in many different directions." Alternative Nation labeled it their "most daring, progressive album yet."
The band is supporting the new record with a North American tour that stops on Saturday (October 29) at the Voodoo Music Experience festival in New Orleans. 7

DEFTONES Returning To Paris For First Time Since Terrorist AttacksAccording to The Pulse Of Radio, DEFTONES are returning next May to perform in Paris, France for the first time since the November 2015 terrorist attacks in the City of Light. DEFTONES were scheduled to begin a three-night stand at the Bataclan venue last November 14, but one night prior, on November 13, armed gunmen stormed the venue during an EAGLES OF DEATH METAL show and killed 89 people as part of a series of attacks on the city.
Members of DEFTONES and their crew had actually been at the venue earlier that night to see part of the show, but left before the arrival of the terrorists. The shaken band postponed their European tour and headed home, but will return to Europe next spring and play the Olympia in Paris on May 2.
The Pulse Of Radio asked DEFTONES singer Chino Moreno earlier this year if that experience had effected the way the band approaches touring now. "I hope not," he said. "I mean, honestly, I think the world's changed, you know. When something like that happens, the world changes, and I'm sure that'll be heavy on our minds for some time, you know. Music has always been a great escape from reality, you know, so as long as we can sort of get back to that in some way, you know, I think that's what we hope for."
DEFTONES begin their European run on April 18 in Vienna, Austria, wrapping up on May 7 in Glasgow, Scotland.
"Phantom Bride" is the latest single taken from the current DEFTONES album, "Gore", which debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart last April.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD's 'The Stage' Cracks BILLBOARD's 'Hot Rock Songs' Top 10According to Billboard, AVENGED SEVENFOLD has cracked the top 10 of Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart for the first time in nearly five years with the title track of its new album, "The Stage". The song had 1.9 million U.S. streams and sold 15,000 downloads in the week ending October 20, moving from position No. 22 to No. 10 on the chart dated November 5. The track is also the band's fourth No. 1 on Hard Rock Digital Song Sales (3-1) and it is the Greatest Gainer (30-15) on Mainstream Rock Songs, leaping by 130 percent in plays. It surges 49-40 on Rock Airplay with 1.5 million audience impressions in the week ending October 23.
"The Stage" album is expected to be released this Friday, October 28. Record stores reportedly began receiving physical copies of the CD and posting images of the cover art online, including Quebec's Musik Universe and the Canadian site for Amazon. The surprise release will follow a performance by the group on Thursday night (October 27), which will be streamed live online in 3D.
Until now, rumors had circulated that the band's seventh studio effort was titled "Voltaic Oceans" and that it would possibly be released in early December.
The 71-minute disc contains the following 11 tracks: "The Stage", "Paradigm", "Sunny Disposition", "God Damn", "Creating God", "Angels", "Simulation", "Higher", "Roman Sky", "Fermi Paradox" and "Exist". The title track and its video were released two weeks ago.
All but two of the songs are five minutes or more in length, while the final track, "Exist", clocks in at over 15 minutes.
The band launched its campaign for the new album — its first for Capitol Records — with projections or pictures of the band's mascot, the Deathbat, in cities around the world.

ASKING ALEXANDRIA: Official Video Footage Of First Concert With DANNY WORSNOP Back In The BandASKING ALEXANDRIA played its first show since reuniting with original singer Danny Worsnop on Tuesday night (October 25) in Seattle. The reunion was confirmed this past weekend, following weeks of rumors and speculation regarding the status of Worsnop's replacement, Denis Shaforostov, who joined the band in 2015. Tuesday night's gig kicked off the "10 Years In The Black" tour, celebrating the tenth anniversary of the band's label Sumerian Records.
Official video footage of the Seattle gig can be seen below.
ASKING ALEXANDRIA's 13-song set did not feature any tunes off the band's sole album with Shaforostov, "The Black", but did reach back into the group's catalog with Worsnop to play songs that had not been performed live in four or five years.
It was also revealed this week that ASKING ALEXANDRIA has gone into the studio with Worsnop to record a new song.
Producer Matt Good, who has been mixing the track, said online, "Mixing an amazing new ASKING ALEXANDRIA song at the moment featuring the return of Danny, who absolutely crushed the vocals. Damn damn."
Guitarist Ben Bruce said in a video message earlier this week that Shaforostov had "just stopped talking to us." But the singer later tweeted, "I left AA because I can't be in a touring band at this point in my life. There's no drama and I don't want to be a part of it."
For his part, Worsnop said about the reunion, "I'm now in a place mentally where this is something I can embrace again, with the men I started this crazy journey with."
ASKING ALEXANDRIA next plays in Spokane, Washington on Thursday night (October 27).

ROB ZOMBIE's '31' DVD And Blu-Ray Due In DecemberFrom the macabre mind of Rob Zombie ("House of 1000 Corpses", "The Lords of Salem", "The Devil's Rejects"), comes his newest nightmare, "31", arriving on Blu-ray and DVD December 20 from Lionsgate. Clowns have never been as terrifying as they are in the course of this one shocking evening in the middle of nowhere. Currently available on Digital HD and On Demand, "31" stars Sheri Moon Zombie ("House Of 1000 Corpses"), Jeff Daniel Phillips (HBO's "Westworld"), Elizabeth Daily ("Pee-Wee's Big Adventure"), Meg Foster ("The Lords Of Salem"), Kevin Jackson ("Conspiracy Theory"), Richard Blake ("Batman Begins"), Judy Geeson (TV's "Gilmore Girls") and Malcolm McDowell ("Halloween").
From the visionary mind of Rob Zombie comes the horrific story of five carnival workers who are kidnapped on Halloween and held hostage in a large compound. At the mercy of their captors, they are forced to play a twisted game or life or death called 31. For the next 12 hours they must fight for their lives against an endless parade of homicidal maniacs.
The "31" Blu-ray and DVD release special features include a two-hour behind-the-scenes documentary and audio commentary with Rob Zombie. The "31" digital HD release will include a four-hour behind-the-scenes documentary with two exclusive hours of footage not included on the Blu-ray release. For those who have previously purchased the digital release, the documentary will be available to watch beginning on December 20. "31" will be available on Blu-ray and DVD for the suggested retail price of $24.99 and $19.98, respectively.
While Saban Films picked up the finished "31" movie, Zombie raised part of the money to complete it through crowdfunding. He told The Pulse Of Radio the campaign was a positive experience. "When I did it, I didn't really know much about it at all, because I remembered a few people had done it," he said. "I remembered there was like a Veronica Mars movie, and Spike Lee had done it, and I was like, 'Ah, I don't know, is this cheesy? Is this lame? What is this, do I want to do this?' And as I looked into it more and more, I thought, well, as long as whatever I'm offering — it was like, 'Okay, if you give this much, you get this' — and as long as I thought the 'this for that' was equal, I didn't feel bad about it."
Zombie's latest album, "The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser", arrived in late April. He recently completed a co-headlining tour with KORN. 2

Watch AVENGED SEVENFOLD's Performance On Rooftop Of Capitol RecordsAVENGED SEVENFOLD confirmed the release of its new album, "The Stage", during a live-streamed performance Thursday night, October 27 from the rooftop of the Capitol Records Tower in Hollywood, California.
The groundbreaking event saw the band give a 3D/360-degree live-streamed virtual reality performance, enabling fans around the globe to view the show on Universal Music Group's newly released VRTGO VR platform, powered by VRLIVE's advanced technology, and experience AVENGED SEVENFOLD's electrifying set as if they were there for this first-of-its-kind immersive event.
Fans attended the event in-person, flooding the streets and sidewalks around the tower to experience a concert amplified by augmented reality (AR) technology, which intensifies real-world environmental elements with computer-generated sensory input such as graphics, video and sound to enhance the live experience. VRLIVE streamed the event to 50 Samsung Gear VR headsets on the ground level of the event for fans to virtually transport themselves to the stage. Afterward, the band celebrated with fans, taking photos and sharing stories about the secretive release.
Video footage of the performance can be seen below.
Co-produced by the band and Joe Barresi (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, TOOL), "The Stage" features 11 panoramic tracks tied together by an Artificial Intelligence theme. Inspired by the writings of Carl Sagan and Elon Musk, the album is the band's first thematic release. While the term "AI" conjures up images of robots and fantasy films, the band steers clear of a science fiction storyline. Instead, the album sees them taking a futurist's look at the accelerated rate at which technology's intelligence is expanding and what that means — good and bad — for the future.
The album's epic 15-minute-plus closing track, "Exist", features a guest appearance by award-winning astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson giving a spoken-word performance he penned specifically for the album. 2

Amaranthe are gearing up for the release of their new album Maximalism. The record is due out via Spinefarm Records on October 21st.
Maximalism is a hyper-modern, metallic beast. It's the band's fourth record since first joining forces back in 2008; produced once again by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Epica, Delain) and mastered by Svante Forsback (Rammstein, Apocalyptica, Dragonforce), it sees the Swedish/Danish sextet delivering 12 new tracks that fully live up to the "bigger, bolder" promise of the title. Maximalism is the follow-up to 2014's breakthrough Massive Addictive.
Refusing to be pinned down by genre or convention, Amaranthe have consistently pursued the less-travelled path, blending different sounds and styles to create a signature hybrid approach. Maximalism sees their collective wide-angle vision laid out with greater skill and conviction than ever before.
From the locomotive power of "Faster" and "Fury" through to the more measured drama of "Limitless" and "Endlessly”, (a solo tour-de-force for singer Elize Ryd), this is Amaranthe ramping up both the energy and the emotion, and generally pushing everything To The Max…
"Maximalism is our manifesto to the world," said lead guitarist Olof Morck. "We are genuinely thrilled with the new material, definitely our most diverse collection to date; our trademark 'bleeding edge' modern metal remains intact, of course, but fused with an even broader range of genres than before. There's everything here including stadium rock, innovative pop and danceable super-hits. Expect these tunes to enter your mind on a permanent basis!"
Maximalism tracklisting:
“Maximize”
“Boomerang”
“That Song”
“21”
“On The Rocks”
“Limitless”
“Fury”
“Faster”
“Break Down And Cry”
“Supersonic”
“Fireball”
“Endlessly” 1

"I'm excited to announce that I am currently composing and building my first solo album for the project aptly and honestly entitled "ALISSA" which will see some more of my creative adventures unleashed. It is a welcome creative outlet to unlock all of my lyrical and musical vaults with zero restriction or pressure to conform to any particular style or era. I also pay close attention to what my fans want - I haven't been ignoring the consistent requests for my clean singing voice!
“With Angela Gossow as management and Napalm Records just as passionate as I am about this new project, I'm fortunate to have found a home amongst friends and colleagues who are supportive and encouraging of my full musical spectrum. This album will also feature members of the Arch Enemy family, both current and past, as well as many of the other great artists I have had the pleasure of sharing a stage with throughout my career. So many respected artists have invited me into their music over the years, now it's time to bring them into my world.
“Thank you to all my incredible fans around the world - this music is for you!"
Thomas Caser, Napalm Records CEO states: “A true pleasure to announce this signing today. We are looking forward to this cooperation with one of the most talented front-ladies and artist in today's business!"
The Alissa project is about style and substance, with White-Gluz affirming, "This album will be very personal. I have a lot of ideas, songs, lyrics, and compositions built up in my brain over the years, I want to get them out this way." White-Gluz is stretching her creative muscles and trying new things in a dynamic way.
Most people know Alissa from being in Arch Enemy, where she focuses mostly on her growling vocals. With creating Alissa it is the perfect platform for presenting her clean singing voice more often as well as delivering other techniques we all have heard from other works with bands. While the project is taking shape, some of the confirmed guests so far include past and present members of Arch Enemy and Kamelot, as well as Doyle from The Misfits. More creative partnerships will be revealed as this exciting and delightfully nebulous project develops and grows. In the meantime, White-Gluz continues to flesh out the material while recruiting players.
Alissa is essentially another vehicle for White-Gluz to display her talents and an entity that has no boundaries and therein lies the musical thrill - for Alissa White-Gluz and her listeners. An album is already scheduled for 2017 and tour dates will follow around the album release as well.
Stay tuned for many more exciting details and info to follow
