THE BEATLES legend Paul McCartney, actor Johnny Depp and AEROSMITH's Joe Perry make appearances on the forthcoming album from Alice Cooper featuring songs that were originally written and recorded by THE DOORS, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon and THE WHO — members of the so-called "Hollywood Vampires" of the early and mid-'70s. Perry has contributed to several tracks on the CD, while McCartney will be heard on a new version of "Come And Get It", the song he wrote and produced for BADFINGER.

The HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES band — featuring Cooper, Perry and Depp — will perform at the Rock In Rio festival in late September, with more tour dates scheduled for that month.

Alice Cooper's latest album, "Welcome 2 My Nightmare", sold 18,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 22 on The Billboard 200 chart. Cooper's previous CD, 2008's "Along Came A Spider", opened with just under 10,000 copies to land at No. 53.

Recorded with longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, who produced the original multi-platinum "Welcome To My Nightmare" album in 1975, "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" picks up right where they left off, with Alice trapped in his own warped mind.

In Rihanna's original "Bitch" video, which was released earlier this month, she kidnaps and torments the wife of an accountant who bilked her, dismembers the accountant, and then lounges, naked and covered in blood, in a box of money. The clip was described by The Atlantic as possibly "the most successfully provocative output from a major star in years, a fact it achieves in large part by hewing to the tropes of mainstream entertainment."

The deluxe reissue of KORN's 2013 album, "The Paradigm Shift: World Tour Edition" (Prospect Park) was made available at Best Buy stores in North America on July 15, 2014. The set featured three brand new songs, including the single "Hater", plus "The Game Is Over" and "So Unfair". In addition, it's been beefed up with a bevy of live tracks recorded all over the globe and expanded artwork.

In honor of the 20th anniversary of its debut album, KORN released a 300-page limited-edition hardcover book that chronicles and celebrates the band's history.

"Korn: 1994-2014 Photo Book" contains a bunch of photos from the KORN archives, as well as entries from the band about their 20-year journey.

SLAYER drummer Paul Bostaph spoke to Billboard.com about the differences between when he first initial replaced founding drummer Dave Lombardo in 1992 and his return to the group in 2013.

"It was very intimidating [that first time around. But] The Internet did not exist," he said. "There was no social media. If people didn't like [the switch] we weren't hearing about it all the time. We only heard through word of mouth, and I just had to go out and deliver to shut everybody up." This time around, however, "people are pretty brutal with their opinions sometimes, so I guess you have to have thicker skin now," he continued. "At least I had been with the band for 10 years when I left, so I had equal tenure as the drummer at that point. I have a history of recording and touring with the band, so I think that's actually helped win people over — again."

Regarding SLAYER's forthcoming album, "Repentless", which is due on September 11, Bostaph said: "We've been grinding on this record for two years. When I came back to the band, we were supposed to go in the studio, and for two years we were, like, 'Yeah, this album's gonna come out some day.' The good thing was we really kept working on the songs and refining them. And I had a huge advantage, probably, over most people who would come in the room 'cause I've worked with Kerry [King, guitar] a million times before. When I joined the band the first time, Kerry and I roomed together. We shared an apartment, and I learned how he likes things. So when he shows me a song, I almost know what he wants for it; 99 percent of the time I'm right. So I think the dynamics of him trusting me and trusting my opinion when it comes to the songs really helped."

Lombardo was effectively fired from SLAYER after sitting out the band's Australian tour in February/March 2013 due to a contract dispute with the other members of the group. King blamed the split on "misinformation — not coming from SLAYER." He told Artisan News: "I feel bad for Dave, because he made some really bad choices based on listening to some really bad advice."

Lombardo told the "Thrash Zone" show back in July 2014 that he "worked on all of the songs that are going to be on the new [SLAYER] album with Kerry." He added: "They've been working on that album… shit… for years now. 'Implode', their new radio hit, is basically the guitar tracks that were done during my session, but they've removed my drums and added Paul's."

The official lyric video for the song "Angels Fall" from BREAKING BENJAMIN can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new effort, "Dark Before Dawn", which sold 141,000 copies in its first week of release to enter The Billboard 200 chart at position no. 1. The sales number is the best single-week sales mark of the band's career, with 135,000 of those made for physical CDs.

BREAKING BENJAMIN's previous album, 2009's "Dear Agony", entered at No. 4 with first-week sales of 134,000 copies. The outfit's previous chart peak was No. 2 for 2006's "Phobia", although that disc sold less with 125,000 copies moved in the first seven days.

"Dark Before Dawn" features original frontman Ben Burnley leading an all-new lineup of the group, which has been expanded from a quartet to a five-piece.

Burnley fired two earlier members in 2010 over a legal battle, while a third member departed in 2013.

Burnley also struggled with a mysterious illness during the band's six-year hiatus, which he told The Pulse Of Radio might be the result of the excessive drinking he used to do. "I used to drink a lot, and I think it must have something to do with that because back in 2007, I stayed up drinking for three days straight — this is after already months and months of drinking heavily — and I woke up and I just felt really sick, like alcohol poisoned, and I was like, I should've probably gone to the hospital but I didn't, and I went onstage and when I went onstage I almost collapsed from being just so sick. And basically that was 2007 and it hasn't gone away."

Burnley unveiled BREAKING BENJAMIN 2.0 last year, with the lineup consisting of drummer Shaun Foist, bassist Aaron Bruch, former RED guitarist Jasen Rauch and ex-ADELITAS WAY guitarist Keith Wallen.

San Francisco Bay Area thrash veterans DEATH ANGEL will release "A Thrashumentary" on July 24 via Nuclear Blast. The DVD was directed, shot and edited by Tommy Jones (KATAKLYSM, SOILWORK, LAMB OF GOD, CARCASS, TESTAMENT) of Videohammer Studios. As previously reported, DEATH ANGEL will enter the studio on October 1 to begin recording its new album for an April 2016 release via Nuclear Blast.

Asked by Groovey of Groovey.TV what fans can expect from the follow-up to 2013's "The Dream Calls For Blood", DEATH ANGEL guitarist Ted Aguilar said: "It's gonna be DEATH ANGEL. In my personal opinion, I don't think we're gonna try to top ['The Dream Calls For Blood']. You can't recreate that moment in time. 'The Dream Calls For Blood' is 'The Dream Calls For Blood'. This next album we're writing… I mean, we've got some songs; [we're] four songs in. No lyrics yet, but… It's always gonna be heavy. The foundation of DEATH ANGEL is still there, but it's kind of hard to describe what direction we're going in until it's recorded, mixed and mastered. 'Cause the way DEATH ANGEL writes, we write a song, but it's always evolving — up until the point of recording. Even when it comes down to the mixing. It's just, like, 'Ah, let's change that up.'"

He continued: "'The Dream Calls For Blood', it's a great record. We're proud of it. And the next album, it's just gonna be DEATH ANGEL in our mindset today. I'm not gonna say, 'It's gonna be this,' and it ends up being a little different. Who knows what this album is gonna sound like? [But] it's gonna be good."

Asked if DEATH ANGEL has been writing any new material on the road, Ted said: "We've written some stuff on the road, and when we get back [home from the current tour], we're gonna write some more. Then we've got Europe in July and August, and we're gonna continue writing in Europe, on downtime and whatnot. 'Cause there's a lot of time on the road; plenty of hours go by, like right now. And then when we get home after Europe, in August, we're gonna spend a couple of weeks off, then all of September is honing in and doing pre-production, writing a little more and just fixing the loose ends."

DEATH ANGEL's seventh album, "The Dream Calls For Blood", sold 5,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 72 on The Billboard 200 chart.

German riffonauts Black Space Riders have released a lyric video for new track "Born A Lion (Homeless)" from upcoming album Refugeeum.

Black Space Riders will release their fourth album Refugeeum July 24 on Black Space Records/Cargo Records. The new album comes on the heels of predecessor D:REI (2014).

Already established as a force to be reckoned with, Refugeeum launches the New Wave of Heavy Psychedelic Space Rock into the stratosphere. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in March/April by Role Wiegner at Die Tonmeisterei (Oldenburg). JE and Role are responsible for the mammoth production.  Featuring lyrical themes of the refugee experience of expulsion and escape, and inclusive of cover art by Jakob Maser, Refugeeum is destined to end up one of 2015's most coveted rock adventures.

UK prog-metal band, TesseracT, have announced an all new LP titled Polaris, due out September 18th via their UK label home Kscope and a partnership with eOne Music in North America.

"TesseracT has been through a roller coaster of a ride since our first EP," says the band. "We seemed to always have been filling the holes in our ship's hull to stop this ship from sinking, as we raced around the world time and time again."

The new LP will followup to the Altered State LP that was released in 2013. The new album will be the band’s third studio album and first for Kscope and eOne.

Over the course of the last six years, TesseracT have been at the forefront of the ever-evolving metal scene. Originally formed as a studio project by guitarist Acle Kahney, TesseracT immediately eschewed all well-established notions of what metal should sound like and swiftly became a unique and daring entity. The official lyric video for "Protomech", a brand new song from legendary pioneers of industrial-tinged extreme metal FEAR FACTORY, can be seen below (courtesy of RollingStone.com). The track is taken from the band's upcoming album "Genexus", which will be released on August 7 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The follow-up to 2012's "The Industrialist" was co-produced by longtime collaborator Rhys Fulber, along with guitarist Dino Cazares and vocalist Burton C. Bell and mixed by Andy Sneap (ARCH ENEMY, TESTAMENT, EXODUS, MACHINE HEAD). Artwork was once again handled by Anthony Clarkson. Drums on "Genexus" were performed by Mike Heller (MALIGNANCY).

"The word 'genexus' is a hybrid of two words: 'genesis' and 'nexus,'" explained Burton C. Bell. "This word describes the next transition in human evolution as man moves forward to a 'mechanical' state of being. Ray Kurzweil predicts that the singularity will occur around 2045. 'Genexus' is the term for that next evolutionary process. Where humans are machines, machines are human, and the differences are oblivious to the naked eye."

He continued: "This album is a record of thought patterns, psychology and struggles of the Genexus generation. The cognitive machine has arrived, and it wants autonomy from the industry that created it. This machine struggles, like every other human has throughout the course of history. Cazares previously stated about he making of "Genexus": "We really feel this is a very special FEAR FACTORY album. While being careful not to replicate ourselves, this album still has a very classic FEAR FACTORY vibe that we feel will appease both old and new fans. The aggressive, melodic and industrial elements are all intact and shine more than ever.'

Speaking about what FEAR FACTORY was trying to accomplish with its forthcoming album, the band's first since signing with Nuclear Blast, Cazares said: "It's still just to be who we are. We are 'cyber metal,' whatever you wanna call it, but it's still a lot of the killer riffs, killer double bass, Burt's beautiful, melodic vocals. Conceptually, it's always still futuristic, man-versus-machine type of thing, but, you know, we thought we're gonna keep it real, keep it what we are and who we are."

FEAR FACTORY recently parted ways with bassist Matt DeVries (previously of CHIMAIRA, where he played guitar, and SIX FEET UNDER and replaced him with Tony Campos (ex-SOULFLY, STATIC-X, PRONG, MINISTRY).

"Erase This", a brand new song from Richmond, Virginia-based metallers LAMB OF GOD, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "VII: Sturm Und Drang", which will be released on July 24 via Epic in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast Entertainment in all territories outside of North America. The CD was once again produced and mixed by Josh Wilbur with engineering by Wilbur, Nick Rowe and Kyle McAulay, and was recorded at NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood, California and Suburban Soul Studios in Torrance, California.

LAMB OF GOD guitarist Mark Morton told Rolling Stone magazine: "Lyrically, 'Erase This' deals with negative people and how they can drag you down without you even necessarily realizing it. It's about people you may even be close to, but who are stuck in their own self-pity and woe-is-me, kind of victim status. That kind of energy can spread like a virus. Most of us as humans have been on both the giving and receiving end of that kind of attitude, but the older I get, the more I try to focus on not allowing that type of vibe to enter my mindset. Musically, it's pretty trademark LAMB OF GOD riffing. It's got that '12 over 4' [time signature] groove that we've used before in songs like 'Laid To Rest' and a cool talk box in the bridge. I think it's a pretty badass track. It's one of my favorites on the album."

LAMB OF GOD has announced the variety of bundle options available for the pre-order of "VII: Sturm Und Drang". Regarding the "VII: Sturm Und Drang" album title, Morton told the Swiss TV show "Living Room": "When Randy [Blythe, vocals] and I were putting the lyrics together for this album, we were discussing what the themes were. And we were trying to find a phrase that best encompassed the common threads that ran through the lyrics of all the songs. And it just happened to be that 'Sturm Und Drang' represented that inner conflict and the pressure and the turmoil and the chaos and how one responds to those things. If it had been a French phrase, we would have probably named it that. But it just happened to be German."

The album's first single, "Still Echoes", was made available on May 18 via all digital retailers and streaming services.

Wolfheart, the brainchild of visionary Tuomas Saukkonen, have released a video for “Aeon Of Cold” (see below), the lead track from their wintry and metallic second album, Shadow World.

In 2012, after years of pouring his creative juices to innumerable projects, like Before The Dawn, Dawn Of Solace, Black Sun Aeon, et cetera ad infinitum, Saukkonen, who was the mastermind of them all, decided to disband all of his groups and start from scratch. The result is one focused project and that's Wolfheart, which has steadily evolved into a touring, charting band.

The band's sophomore release, Shadow World, was recorded at Grindhouse Studio in Athens, Greece and at SoundSpiral Audio in Kouvola, Finland. It is the logical continuation of its predecessor, Winterborn. Shadow World features mesmerizing melodies graceful enough to stop the listener in their tracks, along with the most furious of frostbites to finish him or her off.

On August 21st the Shadow World blankets the world with a new sort of Ice Age.

The cover art for V was completed by the UK-based artist Duncan Storr, with whom the band previously worked on their 2013 effort The Migration. Commented drummer Tiger: “About ten years ago, when we - independently of one another - moved to Berlin, we just wanted to break free from home and do something new. I thought it was comfortable, to blend in and just live from day to day. A lot of very long nights and so many completely different people at one place. Where there are opposites you can always ground yourself. We’re all different, come from different places but have managed to create something together we all like. I think the Berlin lifestyle has influenced our band very much and therefore fits perfectly as the album’s title.“

On Borrowed Time arrives three years after 2012 debut EP Cold Dark Days. The momentum built quickly with the band's release of an official video for the EP's title track in 2013. With momentum building My Hollow then entered the Wacken Metal Battle in 2014 for a chance to perform at the prestigious Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany. The band made it past all preliminary rounds and made it to the finals at The Opera House in Toronto and finished as one of the Top 5 metal bands in Canada.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE singer Jesse Leach has finished laying down vocals on five songs for the band's forthcoming seventh full-length album. The follow-up to 2013's "Disarm The Descent" is tentatively due in early 2016 via Roadrunner.

Leach wrote in a post on Instagram: "[I am] pretty stoked on the song I just finished. It turned out to be quite unique sonically and lyrically. It's an ode to the road, the trials and triumphs, the friendships and long-distance love."

He continued: "So far this record has a little bit of everything, and I couldn’t be happier with it. [I am] also pushing my voice to higher registers and allowing the grit to come through, which definitely suits my style as a vocalist.

"The topics are pretty heavy so far on the first four (even though they are all very different from each other,) so this one rounds it out with a more uptempo sing-along feel (almost punk rock meets '80s metal riffs with double bass for good measure)."

Jesse added: "I truly hope KILLSWITCH ENGAGE fans of all types will be able to find something they dig on this record. That being said, so far I truly feel I've put my everything into this record."

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's summer tour with RISE AGAINST and LETLIVE will kick off on July 17 in Chicago.

A KILLSWITCH ENGAGE concert film shot on October 31, 2014 at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts will be included on the band's next DVD release, tentatively due before the end of the year. The performance footage was filmed by the direction team of Ian McFarland and Mike Pecci (FEAR FACTORY, MESHUGGAH) using five Canon C300 cameras outfitted with Zeiss Prime Super Speed Lenses.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE recently finished recording a new song, "Loyalty", that is featured on the mixtape for HBO's hit fantasy series "Game Of Thrones".

Finnish metallers CHILDREN OF BODOM will release their ninth studio album, "I Worship Chaos", worldwide on October 2 via Nuclear Blast. The artwork for the CD was created by Finnish artist Tuomas Korpi and can be seen below.

"I Worship Chaos" was once again recorded at Helsinki, Finland's Danger Johnny Studios and was produced by CHILDREN OF BODOM and Mikko Karmila, who worked with the band on their earlier albums "Halo Of Blood", "Hatebreeder", "Follow The Reaper" and "Hate Crew Deathroll". The CD was mixed and mastered at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland.

CHILDREN OF BODOM has recruited Antti Wirman, the younger brother of the band's keyboardist Janne Wirman, to handle second-guitar duties for their upcoming shows.

Antti, who has been a member of Janne's band WARMEN since 2001, made his live debut with CHILDREN OF BODOM on May 30 when the group played a surprise six-song set at Nosturi in Helsinki, Finland.

"We wanted to go with someone close to the band we can count on and who can nail these songs. Antti was the obvious choice," said Janne.

Antti will continue playing with CHILDREN OF BODOM through the band's appearance at the Kuopio RockCock festival on August 1. The group will then decide what to do about the second-guitarist position on a more permanent basis.

CHILDREN OF BODOM's first official concert with Antti took place on June 4 at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden.

CHILDREN OF BODOM in May announced the departure of the band's guitarist of the past decade, Roope Latvala. The band explained in a statement: "As we parted ways with no bad blood, we wish him nothing but the best and thank him for allowing us to share the last twelve years of our lives with him. [We] hope [the fans] know that this will not affect the upcoming shows or the new album as we recorded it as a four-piece and it is already mixed, mastered, heavy as shit and ready to go!"

British epic power metallers DRAGONFORCE have just released their debut DVD, "In The Line Of Fire", via Metal Blade. Shot in high definition during the band's show at 2014’s Loud Park festival at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan, the DVD was filmed using nine camera angles to capture the raw energy of DRAGONFORCE's show and instrumental dexterity for which they are rightly celebrated worldwide.

DRAGONFORCE is in the middle of the "Maximum Overload" world tour, which commenced in September 2014 and is due to conclude in 2016.

Commented DRAGONFORCE guitarist Herman Li: "We always held the opinion that if we ever did a DVD, we wanted to do it properly. Now, having released six studio albums, we thought we had a great cross section of material to pick from and we knew the facilities at Loud Park made it a great place to film a show. Everything just came together and we’re very pleased with the results and hope the fans will be also."

"Maximum Overload" was released in August 2014 in North America via Metal Blade and in Europe through earMUSIC, the Hamburg, Germany-based international rock label which is part of Edel Group. The CD was recorded at Fascination Street studios in Örebro, Sweden with Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with OPETH, THE DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT, AMON AMARTH, KATATONIA, SOILWORK and SYMPHONY X, to name a few. It marks the band's first-ever album involving an outside producer, having historically opted to record themselves in association with Karl Groom.

LYNCH MOB, the band led by former DOKKEN guitarist George Lynch, will release its eighth studio CD, "Rebel", on August 21 via Frontiers Music Srl. The effort was produced by Lynch collaborator Chris "the Wizard" Collier.

The LYNCH MOB lineup on "Rebel" is comprised of Lynch, Oni Logan on vocals, Jeff Pilson (ex-DOKKEN, FOREIGNER, DIO) on bass and Brian Tichy (ex-WHITESNAKE, OZZY OSBOURNE) on drums.

Songs like "Testify", "Sanctuary" and "Dirty Money" showcase Oni's trademark vocal ability while putting his diverse lyrical content on full display.

The official video for the album's first single, "Automatic Fix", can be seen below. The song features an exciting opening riff and vocal melody and Lynch burns on one of his best guitar solos.

Talking about "Automatic Fix", Logan states: "This is an interesting song in that it was the last song that was recorded vocally. I initially thoughtthat it might be best used as instrumental. I simply love this song because of its energy an attitude."

"With 'Rebel', we allowed ourselves to move outside our normally imposed self restraints and tread some forbidden sonic territories," explains Lynch. "What surprises me is no matter how far we attempt to stray away from the classic 'LYNCH MOB formula,' we can never really escape the chemistry between myself and Oni. There's just a thing that happens there that's unique to us and undeniable." LYNCH MOB formed in 1989 after Lynch exited DOKKEN.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of LYNCH MOB's debut album, "Wicked Sensation", which is the band's most commercially successful work to date, having sold more than half a million copies in the U.S. alone. LYNCH MOB has released seven other albums throughout its career.

LYNCH MOB will be touring throughout the summer in support of "Rebel".

Due an eye infection, Danish heavy metal singer King Diamond was forced to perform without his trademark makeup during his namesake band's July 8 concert in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Fan-filmed video footage of the show can be seen below. Check out photos at TheRave.com and on Facebook.

King's makeup has changed several times over the years, but always incorporates his traditional black-and-white color scheme along with horror and occult symbolism.

Although King is a proud member of the Church of Satan, his brand of Satanism is similar to agnosticism and pacifism.

"People think it's a religion, but it's not: It's a life philosophy about having respect for people who think differently than you do," he told The Dallas Morning News in 2014. "It would be nice if more people kept their beliefs to themselves instead of killing each other to convince each other what they believe is right. Belief should be a private matter."

King, 59, whose real name is Kim Bendix Petersen, underwent open-heart triple-bypass surgery in November 2010. He has since completed his cardiac rehabilitation program and has stopped smoking entirely, changed his diet and is getting regular exercise.

Things are certainly heating up this summer for Le Projet, the rock band comprising Kevin Martin and Adam Kury of Candlebox, Morgan Rose of Sevendust and Lenny Cerzosie of The Infinite Staircase. The group not only headed back into Think Loud Studios in York, PA to continue working on their soon-to-be-released debut album but they also welcomed nationally touring guitarist Brian Quinn into the band.
 
Adding Quinn to the group was an easy decision, according to Kevin Martin as he and Quinn had already performed and toured together as label mates on a Warner Brothers subsidiary label. Quinn, the founding member and guitarist of Fosterchild, has over 20 years of professional experience playing and recording with multiple national artists.
 
“When I first met Brian I remember saying to him, ‘If I ever start another side project or any other musical venture you're the first person I'm calling to find me a guitar player! After the laughter died down, I told him that we'd definitely be working together someday soon,” said Martin. “That was three or four years ago but, as they say, patience is a virtue. I'm stoked to have him jamming with Le Projet; he's a brilliant guitarist with a bitchin axe!”
 
To date, Le Projet has released four singles: “Head Down”, “Little Sh*ts”, “Save Yourself”, and “Refugee” that are available at all major online retailers including iTunes. The band is currently hard at work preparing to debut its latest single in late July.
 
"Le Projet is a fun outlet for all of us. We don't really do pre-production. We typically sit around with a bunch of guitars and once a spark ignites, we run with it,” said Lenny Cerzosie. “This laid back approach to writing and recording allows us to maintain a fresh, original sound and creates a great vibe that is translated through our music.”

2015 marks ten years since the formation of Chicago/Baltimore-based Locrian, who over the past decade has left a smoldering mass of well over twenty recordings in their wake, many of them self-released, many others through labels including Utech, Fan Death, Bloodlust!, Small Doses, At War With False Noise, and the group's private label Land of Decay before signing with Relapse Records in 2012 for the release of their The Clearing/The Final Epoch 2xCD. The band's experimental/avant approach unifies post-industrial and black metal persuasions in a crushing alloy of organic and mechanical elements, having earned them widespread media praise from countless underground and mainstream media outlets and journalist worldwide.

Locrian now return with Infinite Dissolution, another dark and cinematic work of exceptional aural artistry. More epic and foreboding than anything in the prolific trio's catalog, Infinite Dissolution was recorded at Steve Albini-owned/operated Electric Audio, produced by Greg Norman (Pelican, Russian Circles), and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, and is a multi-part concept album dealing with the struggle of human extinction. In addition to Locrian's Midwestern shows in Detroit and Chicago on July 17th and 18th, the band has just confirmed a leg of West Coast US tour dates in August in support of Infinite Dissolution. From August 16th through the 22nd the band will flood the western half of the country with their demoralizing auditory fabrications, with shows in Boise, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento confirmed, and at least four more dates being added to this itinerary in the next few days. Special tenth anniversary performance plans are coming together for this Fall, which will be followed by a European tour in early 2016.

Belgian black metal trio Wiegedood, featuring members of Amenra, Hessian, Oathbreaker and Rise And Fall, have recently posted online a professionally-filmed video of their entire release show, which was held on May 29th at De Broelkapel in Kortrijk, Belgium.

Illinois-based heavy metal group, Wicked Deception, has released their second album, A New Kind of Horror, via DSN Music. The new project is a follow-up to their 2013 release Incite The Riot, which put the thrash to death leaning band on the national radar.

Wicked Deception is a family affair bringing founder Lance Huguelet (guitarist) and Brian Huguelet (bassist) to the forefront as co-vocalists, with Troy Samaras on drums.

Legendary U.S. heavy/doom metal band PENTAGRAM will release its new studio album, "Curious Volume", on August 28 via Peaceville Records.

The track "Misunderstood", taken from "Curious Volume", can be streamed using the SoundCloud widget below. Featuring 11 classic heavy metal compositions with catchy hooks from core band members Victor Griffin, Greg Turley and Bobby Liebling (Pete Campbell on the drums completes the band's lineup), "Curious Volume" was recorded with Swedish producer Mattias Nilsson at studios located in Maryland and Virginia. Additional recording took place in Tennessee with Grammy Award-winning producer Travis Wyrick, who also helmed PENTAGRAM's previous album, "Last Rites". To support the new album, the band has tours planned in North America and Europe throughout 2015 and 2016. PENTAGRAM, the highly influential American heavy metal/doom act fronted by mastermind Bobby Liebling, formed in the early 1970s, though their debut album — now known as "Relentless" — didn't see a release until 1985. Through four decades of adversity and triumph, PENTAGRAM has become a legendary international act and have firmly stamped their name in the heavy metal history books.

This first-ever official PENTAGRAM video collection, "All Your Sins" recovers, repairs and resurrects the earliest known footage of these doomed metal pioneers and more. It contains two DVDs packed with priceless archive footage, as well as recent shows, "All Your Sins - Video Vault". This definitive collection features numerous historical shows, including a charged performance in 1985 at the legendary CBGB club in New York City, with a mass of classic renditions from the band's catalogue finally gathered together for a live journey spanning over 30 years.

Although always a cult act with a strong and dedicated worldwide fanbase, PENTAGRAM has enjoyed a recent surge in interest due in part to the fly-on-the-wall 2011 documentary "Last Days Here" following the life, trials & tribulations of Bobby Liebling. The film gained international recognition; travelling the worldwide film festival circuit where it won several awards including "Best Music Documentary" at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam.

In a recent interview with Esquire magazine, BLACK SABBATH singer Ozzy Osbourne said that he saw the "Last Days Here" documentary, calling it a "very, very sad story, because [Bobby is] a guy... He's the only child of his elderly mom and dad and he lives in a crack-smoking, heroin-using world. And why that guy is still alive is beyond me. I mean, I've been there, done it, and by the grace of God, I got out of it. But, you know, I hope the guy doesn't die."

Ozzy added: "I hope he has [cleaned up] because that video was like a good reason not to get stoned. And you know, for what it's worth: That could have been me. That could have been any number of people. That's why I say to myself every day, 'God, you're fucking lucky, Ozzy!'"

Brazilian death metal veterans KRISIUN have finished recording their new album, "Forged In Fury", for an August 7 release via Century Media. Featuring cover artwork by renowned artist Joe Petagno (MARDUK, VADER), the CD was produced by Erik Rutan.

As the brain and heart of death metal masters HATE ETERNAL and former guitarist of MORBID ANGEL, Rutan has worked as a producer for his own band as well as for CANNIBAL CORPSE, SIX FEET UNDER, MALEVOLENT CREATION, MADBALL, AGNOSTIC FRONT, to name just a few. In addition, he co-produced KRISIUN's "Conquerors Of Armageddon" album back in 1999.

Said KRISIUN in a statement: "'Forged In Fury' marks our return to the studio after three years of constantly touring all over the globe.

"Things were working well, as we were always satisfied with the results of the previous records, but we thought that it was time for a change. Erik Rutan was the chosen one to be the producer, at Mana Recording Studios in Florida.

"This album could be described as a 'more natural'-sounding album; the songs came out with more ambience and more low end, making it sound even more brutal and straightforward. It took us a lot of hard work and dedication. No fashions or tendencies were followed.

"This is a true relentless metal album to the bone, with a huge, natural sound.

"The songwriting captures all the experience and feelings we gathered through all the years of touring and recording. It has more variation and dynamics, but is still 100% KRISIUN.

"Erik has a huge participation within the whole process, especially with regards to the band's performance. He was able to get the best out of each one of us, as we have been friends for a long time, so it was a pleasure working with him.
