DANZIG To Release 'Lost Tracks' CollectionDANZIG recently shot a video for the song "Crawl across Your Killing Floor" outside of Los Angeles. The track will be included on the upcoming "Lost Tracks of Danzig" collection, a two-CD set of previously unreleased DANZIG tracks spaning the band's entire career — from the 1988 self-titled debut to the present. A November release is expected.
As previously reported, Glenn Danzig's long-awaited "Black Aria II" CD, the follow-up to the original "Black Aria" (1993), will be available in stores on September 19, 2006. The album, the material for which has apparently been written for five years, is a classical, operatic piece based on Lilith, the mythological first wife of Adam, according to Danzig. "It's different from the first record but similar in a lot of ways," he said. Check out the cover artwork at this location.
DANZIG, the band, will be embarking on its first tour of Australia since 1993 in early September. Glenn is also in the process of shooting his first feature film, "Gerouge", which he has written and will direct. "Gerouge" is based on one of the comic book titles distributed by his Verotik publishing company, and concerns turn-of-the-century New Orleans voodoo.

AMORAL To Enter Studio In JanuaryFinnish melodic death metallers AMORAL have posted the following message on their official web site:
"The studio has been booked for the recording of the third album. Hämeenlinna Rock City awaits us again, as we enter studio Sound Supreme in January 2007. If all goes well (Janne Saksa doesn't throw us out, we don't get carried away with the pinball machine etc.) we should be done by mid-March.
"Now, the question is: what the hell is there to do in Hämeenlinna during wintertime? It's not likely we'll be going for a swim or to throw frisbee in January, so we have no idea how to spend our free time after working hours. Any and all good ideas and suggestions are welcomed to the guestbook!
"No release date has yet been decided on, but expect to hear new music in the summer of '07. New material is coming out great, so we have no worries about making the deadline. We cannot wait to start playing the new shit live! There's some serious gallows pole rock 'n' roll to be unleashed..."
AMORAL's second album, "Decrowning", was released in the U.S. in March via Candlelight Records USA. The CD is available in Europe on Spikefarm Records.
AMORAL signed a deal with Spikefarm in July 2004 following their split with the U.K.'s Rage of Achilles. The group's debut album, "Wound Creations", was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios and was mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox studios in Helsinki.

MANOWAR To Release New Single In OctoberMANOWAR will release a new single, "The Sons of Odin", in October 2006, followed by a full-length DVD containing the historic Earthshaker Fest 2005 performance in November. Fans can soon expect more details about the release date of the new studio album, entitled "Gods of War".
MANOWAR were forced to reschedule some of their previously announced European dates earlier in the year due to an unfortunate accident involving MANOWAR guitarist Karl Logan. "Our first concern was to be sure that Karl was in good condition," MANOWAR bassist Joey DeMaio said at the time. "As soon as we were certain Karl would be able to play again in the near future, we wanted to give our fans as much information as possible to keep them abreast of plans for the tour."
MANOWAR has sold over eight million records worldwide. The group's last studio album, "Warriors of the World", was a critically acclaimed chart-topper in Europe, reaching gold status in Germany.
The upcoming MANOWAR album will be released on the band's own label, Magic Circle Music.

Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Ignition", "Contempt Breeds Contamination", "And Sadness Will Sear", "Vengeance", "To the Rats" and "Contemporary Plague". "There's one acoustic song, a SKID ROW/MÖTLEY CRÜE-sounding song, a DEF LEPPARD, Southern-rock metal song and then 11 ridiculously technical thrash songs," Heafy had previously said. "It's a solo insanity CD, but in a good way." A European tour with IRON MAIDEN will follow in November/December, with plans for a European headlining trek in the spring.

IMPELLITTERI: Music For New Album CompletedIMPELLITTERI mainman Chris Impellitteri has posted the following update at his official web site:
"The new music for 'Good and Evil' is officially written, and it is time to start the recording. I am very excited about this material because I challenged myself to push the envelope and grow artistically. The writing process was definitely time-consuming because I wanted these songs to inspire people and excite them. So I knew that this CD had to be better than anything I have done to date. Fortunately, I have all this positive energy and motivation which led to some really amazing riffs and crazy soloing. This music is definately metal with lots of fast shredding guitar solos and screaming vocals. The rhythms are heavy and addictive and the vibe is positive with lots of energy....
"As many of you know, I don't like to interact with the media very often, but if this recording turns out well, I will promote this release heavily and tour extensively. But, first thing is first, so I am headed into the studio with my boys and hope to see all of you soon!!"
IMPELLITTERI's most recent album, "Pedal to the Metal", was released last year via SPV Records. The follow-up to 2002's "System X" marked the recording debut with the group of vocalist Curtis Skelton (ex-SPEAK NO EVIL).

SCORPIONS To Release New Album Next MayVeteran German hard rockers SCORPIONS have posted the following message on their official web site:
"We are looking forward to the Wacken [Open Air] show where we are going to play with our old friends, Michael [Schenker], Uli [Jon Roth] and Hermann [Rarebell]. This is going to be a very special event. If you are surprised that the set list voting for the Wacken show took place on the festival page vs. our official web site this is because we wanted to get a feel for what the audience of the festival wanted to hear. Presumably, the new album will be released in May 2007. We'll keep you posted as details become more clear."
SCORPIONS have reportedly tapped songwriter/producer Desmond Child — who has worked with such high-profile pop/rock artists as AEROSMITH, BON JOVI, ALICE COOPER, KISS, RICKY MARTIN, CHER, MICHAEL BOLTON and BONNIE TYLER — to produce their next studio album, which they expect to release before the end of 2007. Child, who recently worked with Michael Beinhorn, Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman as co-producer on MEAT LOAF's "Bat Out of Hell III: The Last at Bat" CD, has also been mentioned as MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil's likely collaborator on Neil's new solo album, which the vocalist was previously said to be planning to record this summer.
SCORPIONS' latest album, "Unbreakable", was released in the U.S. in June 2004 through Sanctuary Records. The CD was recorded at Peppermint Park Studio in Hannover, Germany and was mixed at Wisseloord studios in Hilversum, Holland.

KINGDOM COME: New Album Samples AvailableFrontiers Records has announce the completion of KINGDOM COME's new studio album, entitled "Ain't Crying For The Moon", to be released in Europe on October 20, 2006.
"After having done a lot of experimenting with 'Perpetual'," says Lenny Wolf, the mastermind behind KINGDOM COME, "I thought it was the time to take out the axe again and rock the house. The new CD will be one of my heaviest recordings ever. I was trying to build 'walls of guitars' in combination with that typical KC moody and spacey approach. It does not have the typical 'blues' factor anymore, which many of you may remember from the first records. I have transported my roots into the year 2006."
Still the new album keeps on having a very personal and quite recognizable touch, even if KINGDOM COME is an ever-evolving musical reality.
"When we will come to your towns, we will definitely play songs from our early days as well," adds Wolf, who, as a special gift to the fans, decided to include in the new album track listing an exclusive remake of KINGDOM COME's first U.S. hit "Get It On", originally released on the band's debut album in 1988.
"Ain't Crying For The Moon" (view cover here) track listing:
01. Two Legged Sheep
02. Not Here To Be Your Friend
03. Same Old Stars
04. Ain't Crying For The Moon
05. Perfect Citizen
06. This Is My Life
07. Bon Scott
08. Removed The Sting
09. Friends In Spirit
10. Darkroom
11. Look At You

New OZZY OSBOURNE Album Could Be Out In FebruaryOzzy Osbourne has told Reuters that he is working on two new albums and the first one could be ready by February.
"I don't want to release an album if it's not a great album," Ozzy said. "I primarily write an album for myself, and if the world likes it, great," he said. "I'm just hoping that I can get a good couple of albums out." Osbourne was cautious about when the album would be ready, but his wife, Sharon, who is also his manager, said "hopefully" it would released in February.
The self-proclaimed "Prince of Darkness" said he was working on the two albums with guitarist Zakk Wylde, whose band BLACK LABEL SOCIETY is one of the main acts in Osbourne's annual hard-rock traveling festival, Ozzfest.
"I can't say anything about the songs," Osbourne said at an event in New York to launch a Hard Rock Cafe T-shirt to raise money for his wife's cancer charity.

SUIDAKRA: 'Caledonia' Artwork RevealedGerman melodic black/death metallers SUIDAKRA are finalizing the mixing process for their new album, "Caledonia", tentatively due in October via Armageddon Music. The follow-up to 2005's "Command to Charge" was recorded at Gernhart Records studio in Siegburg, Germany and features artwork by Kris Verwimp. The album photography is being handled by Axel Jusseit, who previously worked with the group on 2003's "Signs for the Fallen".
According to the band, "'Caledonia' adopts the lyrical concept of ancient Scottish history, which explains song titles such as 'Highland Hills', 'Forth-Clyde' and 'The IXth Legion'."
