KROW Release New EP Teaser
 During their most recent European tour, Brazilian death metal band KROW - at the invitation of producer Ronnie Bjornström - recorded their newest EP at Garageland Studios in Umea, Sweden. Titled Relentless Disease, the EP contains two songs which will be released later this month in virtual format and later in physical format.

Take a survey and try to count how many metal bands – national and international – have continentally toured for more than five months in recent years. Krow is one of these few rare bands.
The tour began with the release of Traces Of The Trade in Santiago, Chile in March 2nd, 2012, the band was invited to play with DIMMU BORGIR. With the new album in hand the band again went to Europe, this trip yielded the music video for ‘Retaliated’, recorded in Romania with the participation of Alvaro Lilo, bassist for WATAIN and vocalist of UNDERCROFT, and shared the stage in concerts and festivals alongside the likes of Undercroft, ARCH ENEMY, DYING FETUS, JOB FOR A COWBOY, HAEMORRAGE, ONSLAUGHT, and has also participated of Destroying the Balkans Tour with the SINISTER.
The band finished 2012 among the best of the year in several specialized sites and began in 2013 following the promtion of the album throughout Brazil, making an extensive tour through the Northeast, North and Midwest of the country, and than left for Europe again for a large sequence of concerts and festivals in another arm of the tour supporting the album.
With the name Framework of Violence Tour the band performed for more than five months with bands such as NAPALM DEATH, DECAPITATED, SEPTIC FLESH, PRIMORDIAL, AGATHOCLES, NEGURA BUNGET, besides a summer tour with EXHUMED

KNIFEWORLD Sign To InsideOutMusic For Forthcoming New Album
 InsideOutMusic has announced the signing of KNIFEWORLD for the release of their forthcoming new album, The Unravelling, later this summer. The eight-piece band led by Kavus Torabi (CARDIACS, GON) have been working on the follow-up to 2009's Buried Alone: Tales of Crushing Defeat.
The band had this to say about the signing: "Knifeworld are very happy to be signing to InsideOut. Our forthcoming album, The Unravelling, is so close to completion we are terrified to mention it. Nonetheless it will be the first Knifeworld album to feature the full psychedelic majesty of our eight piece line-up. It must go off like an atom bomb in your broken hearts. California’s RUDE Signs With FDA Rekotz; Debut Album Out In May
 FDA Rekotz is presenting Soul Recall, the uncompromising debut album from rotten death metal act RUDE. Hailing from Berkeley, CA, Rude combine classic death metal in the vein of the early PESTILENCE stuff with the dirt of maniacs like AUTOPSY.
Soul Recall, featuring artwork by Dan Seagrave (ENTOMBED, Pestilence, SUFFOCATION), will be released on CD, vinyl and digital formats on May 30th via FDA Rekotz. Preorders are being taken at this location.
The first pressing of the vinyl edition will be limited to 150 copies in pus yellow and 350 copies in plague black vinyl.

LOWRIDER BETTY Releases Live Videos ‘Crawling Back To Life’, 'Unfaithfully Mine'
 The past couple of years, Danish Lowrider Betty has played close to a hundred concerts, and now things start rolling for the band. Last year they toured with PRETTY MAIDS and the huge Danish act MAGTENS KORRIDORER. During the tour Lowrider Betty recorded these two live videos. Jacob Hansen, whom is producing the bands début album and also is known for his work with VOLBEAT, has mixed the sound recordings.

In the summer Lowrider Betty began recording their début album, in the well-known Hansen Studios, where many other great acts have recorded previously. Jacob describes the band as one of the few bands that has managed to really impress him. He think they’re future looks bright.

SARCÓFAGO – 1989’s Rotting To Receive Vinyl Reissue In May
 Greyhaze Records has set a release date of May 27th for the vinyl reissue of SARCÓFAGO’s second album, Rotting. Originally released in 1989 via Cogumelo Records, Rotting's devastating output made waves throughout the metal underground upon its original release. Today, the album still stands as a hallmark of black/death metal.
The 2014 Rotting release has been carefully remastered to ensure optimal sound output, bringing out all details of this savage and utterly classic recording. The vinyl will be housed in a deluxe gatefold jacket, which will feature all the original artwork, including a full-color gatefold insert. Vinyl colors will be classic black and limited green with black smoke. The reissue will resonate with fans of MYSTIFIER, BLACK WITCHERY, BLASPHEMY, and BATHORY.
Rotting will also be honored with the release of several special product offerings, including a CD/DVD digipak version, the release date for which will be announced soon.

RORCAL To Release Vilagvege In CD Digipack Edition
 About a year after its LP limited release, Vilagvege, the latest album signed by Swiss black/doom metal outfit RORCAL is about to be repressed on CD digipack edition for the first time this spring.
Reissued in elegant digipack packed inside a carton cover case with spot UV printing, the CD version will be out on April 15th with the help of Bleak Recordings from Portugal, the French Lost Pilgrims Records, WOOAAARGH Records from Germany, Hellthrasher Productions (Poland) and Calofror Records from Switzerland.

Australia's THE RADIO SUN To Release Debut Album In May; Audio Samples Streaming
 MelodicRockRecords has announced the release of one of 2014's finest melodic rock releases, the debut album from Aussie act THE RADIO SUN. The band's debut album, Wrong Things Right, will be released worldwide on May 19th.
The Radio Sun have been very busy since they formed in 2012. With past members from the excellent SQUARE ONE and some of Melbourne's best local musos, The Radio Sun are about catchy rocking songs with an emphasis on layered vocal harmonies somewhere in between RICK SPRINGFIELD, NELSON, FIREHOUSE and THE MARVELOUS 3.
After locking in Paul Laine (solo, DANGER DANGER, SHUGAAZER) to mix the band's debut album in 2013, The Radio Sun impressed so much that Paul Laine asked the guys to be his backing band on his recent tour downunder. The Radio Sun will also do double duty at next year's MelodicRockFest 4 by again being a part of the Paul Laine band and then performing the very next day in their own showcase set.
The album cover and CD package was crafted by Swedish artist Monowasp.

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES: 'Slam City' Video Released
 "Slam City", the new video from the long-running Venice Beach, California thrash/punk band SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, can be seen below. The Luke Sorensen-diretced clip was filmed on location in France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and the Netherlands during the 2013 and 2014 "Slam City" and "Persistence" tours. Additional footage was taken from Madrid and Budapest.
"Slam City" comes off SUICIDAL TENDENCIES' latest album, "13", which sold around 3,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 187 on The Billboard 200 chart. The first studio album in 13 years from SUICIDAL TENDENCIES was produced by vocalist Mike Muir and Grammy-nominated engineer/mixer Paul Northfield (DREAM THEATER, HOLE, RUSH).
In a May 2013 interview with Loudwire, Muir stated about the making of "13": "We were close to [having] 160 songs, but there were a lot of changes in the studio right up until the very end. I think if it hadn't been so long we probably would still be recording right now, but we actually kind of enjoyed that process. Putting records out isn't very fun, but recording is fun."
He continued: "I think one of the things is the way music is now and doing your own thing. It used to be you put out a record and you went on tour for a year or so, you got back, took a little time off and then you went in the studio and recorded 15 or 20 songs and you picked them and put it out. I don't think that is necessarily the way things are anymore and the fact that things don't sell or anything like that. Then it gets to the point, like, 'Why are we putting out something and kind of defend it in a sense because all of our records always get attacked when it's something we love?'
"Ten years ago, we got our own studio and we have that ability where it's not, like, 'Okay, we got three or four weeks, we have to get everything done and then that's it.' You're able to go into the studio anytime and write and when you do that you're not sitting there going, 'How's this song going to fit in on a SUICIDAL record?' You just record and you do what you like and you have a lot of fun. I think it was at the end when it started getting to so many years where we were, like, 'We need to kind of get this done.'"

REFORMERS Release Lyric Video ‘Abomination’
 REFORMERS have released a lyric video for ‘Abomination’ from their upcoming album Abolish. The band’s Mediaskare release will be their debut full-length album, Abolish, which is set to hit stores and digital retailers on April 29th.
Abolish was self-recorded with additional vocal production from the famed Jeremy Reeves of production group The Stereotypes and mixed by Kyle Black (COMEBACK KID). The album also features guest appearances from members of WINDS OF PLAGUE, IMPENDING DOOM, and THE GREAT COMMISSION.
When asked why they chose to title the album Abolish, the band responded, “We see injustice happen every day, some of us being trapped in a chokehold by it, others being the cause of it. It seems as if our culture has taught us to accept these things as the social/political/spiritual norm, leaving little room for one to questions whether or not things could be different, whether or not they could be free... or whether or not they could change the world. We chose the title Abolish as a battle cry. To abolish is to completely do away with something, to end it completely.”

JOURNEY Singer ARNEL PINEDA To Release Solo Album
 According to The Associated Press, current JOURNEY singer Arnel Pineda says he’s been putting together an album of his own compositions which he plans to launch within the year.
But he quashed rumours that he is gearing to leave Journey. The Filipino singer says he will stay as long as the band needs him.
Pineda also dismissed talk of the band’s possible reunion with former lead singer Steve Perry, saying there’s been no discussion on that among the band’s members.
The singer spoke in an interview Tuesday during the launch of his version of the song 'Charity' in the animated children’s music video Cha-Ching on Cartoon Network.
The song can be purchased in iTunes Store for the benefit of relief efforts for Typhoon Haiyan victims in the Philippines.

OPIUM WARLORDS To Release Taste My Sword Of Understanding Album In May
 Svart Records has set May 30th as the release date for OPIUM WARLORDS' Taste My Sword Of Understanding. Set to be release on CD and double-LP formats, Taste My Sword Of Understanding is the third offering of Opium Warlords, the final project of Sami Albert Hynninen (REVEREND BIZARRE, THE PURITAN, SPIRITUS MORTIS, etc).
In comparison to the earlier albums Live At Colonia Dignidad (Cobra, 2009), and We Meditate Under The Pussy In The Sky (Svart, 2012), it takes a few steps towards more conventional and easy-to-listen-to levels, but still can't be mistaken for the average force-fed background bubblegum hum you might hear on the radio.
Composed between 1994 and 2009, recorded in 2010, mixed in 2013 - ripened, literally, with blood, tears, sweat, and exotic neurochemical fluids - the 72-minute Taste My Sword Of Understanding is at the same time minimal and complicated, light and heavy; sometimes gentle and soothing, sometimes raw and cruel, but always real and naked, and this time you may find - among all the repetition, weird noises, and floating on the drone and ultra-light chimes - even some essence of epic heavy metal on board.

Poland's CORRUPTION Return With Seventh Studio Album
 Warsaw, Poland-based stoner rock act CORRUPTION have announced the release of the seventh studio album, entitled Devil’s Share. With this album, the band return to Metal Mind Productions’ roster.
Piotr “Aniol” Wacisz, the band’s leader and bass player, comments: “During our previous co-operation with Metal Mind, we recorded three studio albums and a live DVD and played an amazing show next to DEEP PURPLE. I am very glad we got an opportunity to work again with the label that is responsible for Corruption’s existence and evolution. I hope the release of our brand new album, Devil's Share, will be a huge success. For me personally, it’s a very important event because it proves that Corruption, which I manage, keeps evolving, now with new excellent musicians in the lineup: Dani, Rutkos and Vincent. Thank you!"
In fall 2013, Corruption started to work on their new album. It was recorded at Sound Division Studio in Warsaw, Poland, in March 2014, with Filip Heinrich Haluchy (VESANIA, DECAPITATED) from Heinrich House Studio handling the mix and mastering. The band’s seventh studio release features 11 tracks full of catchy stoner rock guitars and good old stoner energy.
Devil's Share is scheduled for release on June 9th in Europe and July 8th in North America.

ASTRAL DOORS Recording New Album; Video Blog From The Studio Available
 Swedish bashers ASTRAL DOORS are in the process of recording their seventh album, currently under the working title Notes From The Shadowsm with pre-production being done at Joachim Nordlund's Big Turn Studio. Keyboards, vocals and bass are being recorded at homes of the respective musicians and then integrated later, with an eye on accommodating peoples' busy schedules and to meet production deadlines. The album is tentatively scheduled to be released in August via Metalville Records.

DRÅPSNATT Sign With Nordvis; Will Reissue Hymner Till Undergången
 Nordvis Records has announced the signing of DRÅPSNATT. The duo from northern Sweden have three albums to their name before signing on with Nordvis; 2009?s I Denna Skog, 2010?s Hymner Till Undergången and the 2012 release Skelepht with all three having atmospheric, somber black metal that pays homage to the nature and grim folklore of their Scandinavian roots. With the band and Nordvis sharing close geographical ties, this deal is a natural step forward for both parties.
Besides procuring the rights for two upcoming albums, the first of which is planned to be recorded in the summer, the deal also means that their 2010 album Hymner Till Undergången will be re-released by Nordvis in the coming months. Stay tuned for more news regarding this in the near future.

The plans to record a fourth album became postponed due to us finding ourselves in some strange state of not knowing if we had a label or not. As you know, we are no longer bound to Frostscald Records and even though we – needless to say – were annoyed with the situation, there is no bad blood or hard feelings between us, atleast not for our part.
So, what’s the news, you might ask?! Well, brace yourselves. We are proud to say that we are from here on signed by Nordvis Produktion. We have known about these guys for some time, partly because they also reside in the woodlands of our hometown Skelepht, but also because they have made quite a reputation for themselves by having high quality (rather than high quantity) bands.
We are thus proud and honored to join the same ranks as STILLA, LUSTRE, SKOGEN, LÖNNDOM, GRIFT, BERGRAVEN and LIK.”

PILLORY - Evolutionary Miscarriage Album Teaser, Play-Through Video
 Boston technical death metal strategists, PILLORY, will release their sophomore full-length, Evolutionary Miscarriage, on June 10th via Unique Leader Records.
The follow-up to the pile driving, No Lifeguard At The Gene Pool, released in 2005, Evolutionary Miscarriage finds Pillory expanding upon their signature intricacies. REVAMP: Fan-Filmed Footage Of Philadelphia Concert
 Fan-filmed video footage of REVAMP — the Dutch band led by former AFTER FOREVER frontwoman and current NIGHTWISH singer Floor Jansen — performing on April 17 at the Trocadero in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania can be seen below.
REVAMP is currently touring North America as the support act for ICED EARTH and SABATON.
REVAMP's second album, "Wild Card", was released in Europe on August 23, 2013 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at SandLane Studio in Rijen, The Netherlands with Joost van den Broek (ex-AFTER FOREVER) and features guest choir parts by Marcela Bovio (STREAM OF PASSION) and Daniël de Jongh (TEXTURES).

Jansen told About.com Heavy Metal about the songwriting process for "Wild Card": "When AFTER FOREVER stopped, I didn't want to first find a band, then see if I could write with them, figure that whole thing out, then record an album. Instead I worked with people I knew would be good songwriters out of an idea how I thought it would sound like. So I worked with a German guitar player (Waldemar Sorychta) and Joost van den Broek from AFTER FOREVER. We wrote the album and played on it and hired a drummer. That's basically how it was done. Then I formed a band with the current lineup. The ambition was to continue as a band and start writing. The cool thing is that it worked. Mainly the guitarist Jord (Otto), keyboardist Ruben (Wijga) and myself came up with all the ideas. Joost became the supervisor of the whole songwriting process and producer of the album."
REVAMP last year announced the addition of bassist Henk Vonk to the group's ranks. He replaced Jaap Melman, who left REVAMP before the band entered the studio to begin recording its second album. The CD was eventually completed with the help of STREAM OF PASSION bassist Johan van Stratum, who filled in on short notice and "did an amazing job to record and edit the bass parts," according to a press release.

PETER PAN SPEEDROCK Sign With Steamhammer / SPV; New Album Due In May
 Netherlands-based rockers PETER PAN SPEEDROCK have signed a deal with Steamhammer / SPV. The brand new studio album, Buckle Up And Shove It!, will be released by Suburban Records in the Benelux (May 23rd) and by Steamhammer / SPV in the rest of Europe (May 30th). UNBREAKABLE Ink Deal With Dark Star Records
 German metallers UNBREAKABLE has signed with Dark Star Records. The band has recorded their first album called Knockout with producer and legendary SCORPIONS drummer Herman Rarebell (also MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP'S TEMPLE OF ROCK). The album was recorded at the Principal Studios in Muenster Germany and the Kidroom Studio with Micghael Voss who is the producer for Michael Schenker. The artwork for Knockout was designed by Dirk Illing who worked with the Scorpions on Sting In The Tail and Comeblack. Look for the full length album to be released worldwide later this year via Dark Star Records.

HOUR OF PENANCE Release Play-Through Video For New Track 'Desecrated Souls'
 Italian death metal quartet HOUR OF PENANCE have released a play-through video for 'Desecrated Souls', the new track featured on the band's new album, Regicide, out on May 13th in North America, May 12th in the UK/EU and May 16th in Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Australia via Prosthetic Records.
Regicide features cover artwork completed by Gyula Havancsák (ANNIHILATOR, DESTRUCTION, GRAVE DIGGER) which, like the album, revolves around the themes of destruction, rebirth and the killing of the king. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Rome's 16th Cellar Studios (FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE), the album is described by the band as "a bone-crushing feast for old and new fans...more varied and brutal than everything we've done so far."
The album's first CD pressing will be a limited-edition digipak that will contain three bonus tracks. Finland's MYSTONS Release 'Coal Soul Woman' Video
 Finnish heavy rock duo MYSTONS have released their new single and video, for the track 'Coal Soul Woman', from their fourth album, Black Matter, out via the V.R. label.
Black Matter was produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (H.I.M, APOCALYPTICA, AMORPHIS, THE 69 EYES, MOONSPELL), and mastered by Svante Forcbäck (VOLBEAT, RAMMSTEIM).
In their new music video the band has taken an untraditional approach to music videos. 'Coal Soul Woman' video was entirely done by Colombian video artist Larry Muñoz Bogotá.
Mystons vocalist-guitarist M Myston explains: "I met Larry in Finland in the summer of 2013 and was very impressed with his video artworks. Larry also got introduced to Mystons music. Later on we both had thought this idea that he could do a music video for Mystons. So we gave him free hands with the video and an unusual, chaotic city portrait from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia came out."

MERKABAH Stream 'Divine Sparks' Track From New Album
 Quebec City-based female-fronted symphonic metallers MERKABAH are streaming the new single 'Divine Sparks', featured on the band's third album, Ubiquity, out now worldwide via Maple Metal Records
Ubiquity was produced by Merkabah, and mixed by Pierre Rémillard (ANVIL, KATAKLYSM, VOIVOD) at Wild Studio, north of Montreal. The album cover art is by Maxime Bigras.
