Finland’s PROCESS PAIN Release ‘Life Beyond Reasons’ Lyric Video; Debut Album Set For May Release
 PROCESS PAIN is a Finnish group consisting of five young lads from Southern Ostrobothnia. The band was founded in 2006 and has released two EP's so far: The Beginning in 2008 and The Prologue in 2009.
The group has played shows all around Finland since 2008 with such bands as NICOLE and CARNALATION. The pre-production and the recording of the group's debut full-length album started in 2011. It was recorded, mixed and mastered in Vaasa by Sami "Hannu" Koivisto.
Their debut is now finally ready, and will be released by Inverse Records on May 9th. The album is titled Outcast Of Society and includes ten tracks which the band self-produced.

BLACK SABBATH's current North American tour consists of a series of 10 shows encompassing mostly Canadian stops until winding down on April 26 in Los Angeles. According to a press release, these gigs are among the final shows that SABBATH does in support of its current studio album, "13", which became the band's first No. 1 album ever in the U.S. when it was released in June 2013. The group has been on the road since April 2013 in support of the record, which reunited singer Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler for their first full-length studio project since 1978's "Never Say Die!"
A contract dispute led drummer Bill Ward to sit out the reunion, which was also marred by Iommi's cancer diagnosis in early 2012.
SABBATH released a live album and DVD/Blu-ray captured on last year's world tour, called "Black Sabbath: Live… Gathered In Their Masses", on November 26, 2013.
"13" has sold more than 360,000 copies in the United States since its June 2013 release.
Iommi revealed in January of 2012 that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma, which is described by the Mayo Clinic as "a cancer of the lymphatic system, the body's disease-fighting network."
He described his "infusion" treatments to the Birmingham Mail earlier this year, explaining, "I have to have an antibody administered by drip every six weeks or so to keep the lymphoma in check. It sort of coats the cancer cells, stops it from going anywhere else. I have to come back home no matter where I might be in the world."
He added, "The tour dates are arranged so that I can always get back for treatment. It's the only way I can manage my illness and keep on the road. I'd love to play more shows . . . but my health has to be sorted out first."
The legendary guitarist said that his treatment is a relatively new process and doctors are not sure what all the side effects might be. He also said that it "takes around 10 days to fully recover from each round of treatment, but if that's what it takes, I have to accept it."

Italy's EMBRACE OF DISHARMONY Sign Multi-Album Deal With My Kingdom Music
 My Kingdom Music has announced that EMBRACE OF DISHARMONY have signed a multi-album deal with the label, and their debut, enitled Humananke, will be released on May 19th.
The band come from Rome, Italy and present a magnificent sound made by progressive metal structures, the essence of the extreme metal and symphonic arrangements, for what they call progressive avantgarde metal, and could be considered a sort of golden son of OPETH, THERION and SYMPHONY X.
Humananke is a fascinating journey into a unique musical universe made precious by the wonderful Gloria's voice and the complex and dark progressive structures. The album is enriched by the participation of international renowned artists like Kobi Farhi (ORPHANED LAND), Mike Lepond (Symphony X), Rafael Bittencourt (ANGRA) and Gabriele Caselli (ELDRITCH), and by the mixing done at Outer Sound Studio with Giuseppe Orlando (NOVEMBRE, DGM) and the mastering of the legendary Finnvox Studios made by Mika Jussila (NIGHTWISH, STRATOVARIUS, etc.).

THE ARKANES Release 'Sharpshooter' Video
 With their hot mix of independent rock, garage and grunge, THE ARKANES are the band of the moment. Discovered by a talent scout at shows in their hometown of Liverpool and the surrounding region, the release of their debut album W.A.R. through SPV has been scheduled for April 29th digitally in North America and will make a major splash. After all, an experienced team of professionals has taken care of The Arkanes for the past two years, ensuring that the band got lots of opportunities to let off steam live all over Europe.
Amazing success stories have already been reported: Their track 'Crash And Burn' reached into the #1 slot of a Los Angeles download chart, where it stayed for almost nine months. WOLVHAMMER, KRIEG To Release 7” Split
 Midwestern blackened sludge act WOLVHAMMER and US black metal stalwart KRIEG will release a split 7" on Broken Limbs Recordings in June. This partnership is an exciting and extensive preview of the road ahead. A busy year for both bands, Profound Lore will be releasing Wolvhammer's new full-length this summer, and nearing autumn, Krieg's Transient will be available through Candlelight Records. Fans have plenty to look forward to: Wolvhammer's upcoming US tour will coincide with the release of its LP and Krieg is scheduling a slew of live dates.
Until then, the brand new tracks exclusive to this split will ease the wait. As stated by N. Imperial of Krieg, "Seeing that both bands have shared members and toured together in the past it seemed only natural that through this camaraderie we would eventually spawn a split release between us. London’s BEAUTALITY Signs With Nordavind Records
 Nordavind Records has announced the signing of London based post-black metallers BEAUTALITY. Having released their debut full-length Providence in 2012, the band is now working on a new full-length titled Solitude and about to unleash the Einfallen EP in-between.
David Ravengarde, lead-singer and guitarist comments: "It comes with great pride and honor to announce the signing of Beautality to Nordavind Records. AC/DC's BRIAN JOHNSON: We Are Not Retiring
 AC/DC singer Brian Johnson has shot down reports that the band is retiring, telling U.K.'s Telegraph that the band is about to begin work on its 16th studio album. "We are definitely getting together in May in Vancouver," he said. "We're going to pick up some guitars, have a plonk, and see if anybody has got any tunes or ideas. If anything happens, we'll record it."
Johnson also confirmed that one member of the band — believed to be rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, the older brother of lead guitarist Angus Young — has been suffering from ill health, but denied that this will result in the group's demise.
"I wouldn't like to say anything either way about the future," he said. "I'm not ruling anything out. One of the boys has a debilitating illness, but I don't want to say too much about it. He is very proud and private, a wonderful chap. We've been pals for 35 years and I look up to him very much."
Johnson told a Florida radio station in February that AC/DC is planning to embark on a 40th-anniversary tour involving 40 concerts in 40 different venues. "That would be a wonderful way to say bye bye," said Johnson. "We would love to do it. But it's all up in the air at the moment.
"AC/DC is such a tight family. We've stuck to our guns through the Eighties and Nineties when people were saying we should change our clothes and our style. But we didn't and people got it that we are the real deal."
Asked about the prospect of retiring one day, Johnson previously told The Pulse Of Radio that he would know when the time had come. "You know, retirement is like anything," he said. "A good football or a good ice hockey player, they don't want to retire. But unfortunately, sometimes there's a time when you have to call it quits. I don't want to do it, and if we can get out another album and do another little short tour or something, and have a bit of fun, well. I'm your man. I'll be right there."
AC/DC's last album was 2008's "Black Ice", one of the group's most successful later albums, which was followed by a nearly two-year world tour.

CLUTCH To Release Triple Deluxe Version Of 'Earth Rocker'
 CLUTCH, the acclaimed Maryland-based rock group, has teamed with producer J. Robbins (THE SWORD, COLISEUM) to record the new song "Run, John Barleycorn, Run". The track will be released on Saturday, April 19 via Weathermaker Music as a special split seven-inch single with labelmates LIONIZE as part of Record Store Day.
On June 10, CLUTCH will release a triple deluxe version of their acclaimed "Earth Rocker" album via Weathermaker Music. Released in 2013, "Earth Rocker" was tagged by Rolling Stone on the "Top 20 Metal Albums" list and hailed by the magazine for its fusion of "seething admixtures of jam-band chops, careening blues-punk riffs" (December 2013). The "Earth Rocker" triple deluxe album package will include: 1) the full record and brand new songs "Night Hag" and "Scavengers", 2) "Earth Rocker Live", a CD audio version of the album performed live; and 3) on DVD "Live In Denver" recorded with seven cameras in 1080i on November 14 at the sold-out Ogden Theatre show in Denver, two videos shot, directed and edited by actress Aisha Tyler: "Gone Cold" (unreleased) and "Crucial Velocity".
Produced, engineered and mixed by Machine (KING CRIMSON, LAMB OF GOD), "Earth Rocker"'s triple deluxe cover artwork was created by longtime CLUTCH art director Nick Lakiotis.
A claymation video created by an inspired CLUTCH fan, Curtis Hein, without any input from the band can be seen below. Curtis spent months working on the clip which features an animated CLUTCH performing "The Wolf Man Kindly Requests…" that will now be included on the forthcoming "Earth Rocker" triple deluxe album out June 10.
CLUTCH's classic 2005 album, "Robot Hive/Exodus", will receive a collector’s edition double vinyl release on Tuesday, June 10. The beautiful double LP is remastered and comes in a re-designed gatefold package boasting some of CLUTCH's best tracks.

HELLYEAH Taps Former MAGNA-FI And FRANKY PEREZ & THE TRUTH Guitarist CHRISTIAN BRADY
 HELLYEAH has recruited Christian Brady as its new touring guitarist following the recent departure of Greg Tribbett (MUDVAYNE).
A former member of MAGNA-FI and FRANKY PEREZ & THE TRUTH, Brady met HELLYEAH drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott in Las Vegas, where Christian has been living and playing in bands for a while.
Fan-filmed video footage of HELLYEAH performing on April 13 in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada as the support act for AVENGED SEVENFOLD can be seen below.
HELLYEAH's fourth studio album, "Blood For Blood", will be released on June 10 via Eleven Seven Music. The CD was helmed by producer Kevin Churko at his The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. Churko is the Canadian musician, sound engineer, songwriter and record producer who has previously worked with OZZY OSBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and IN THIS MOMENT, among other acts.
Prior to the recording of the new album, HELLYEAH parted ways with Tribbett and bassist Bob "Zilla" Kakaha (DAMAGEPLAN). Kakaha has since been replaced by Kyle Sanders, a former member of BLOODSIMPLE and the brother of MASTODON's Troy Sanders.
Still in the lineup are Vinnie Paul Abbott, guitarist Tom Maxwell and singer Chad Gray.
A press release describes "Blood For Blood" as a "welcome return to form" for the band, adding that it "sounds like a recharged HELLYEAH, taken up many notches."
HELLYEAH was formed in 2006 by NOTHINGFACE guitarist Tom Maxwell and bassist Jerry Montano, MUDVAYNE singer Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett, and former PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott.
Montano left a week after the release of the band's self-titled debut album in 2007 and was replaced by Bob "Zilla" Kakaha, who had played with Abbott in DAMAGEPLAN.
HELLYEAH's other albums include 2009's "Stampede" and 2011's "Band Of Brothers".
MUDVAYNE has not released an album since 2009 while Gray and Tribbett have been working with HELLYEAH. | 0 | |

KORN Members Comment On Former Touring Guitarist SHANE GIBSON's Passing
 Former KORN touring guitarist Shane Gibson died yesterday (Tuesday, April 15) as a result of complications from a blood clotting disorder. He was 35 years old.
Gibson was most recently a member of STORK, the project featuring super drummer Thomas Lang (PAUL GILBERT), lead singer VK Lynne (VITA NOVA, Eve's Apple) and bassist Kelly LeMieux (BUCKCHERRY, GOLDFINGER).
KORN has released the following statement regarding Gibson's passing:
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Shane Gibson's friends, fans and family following the passing of our dear friend.
"Shane Gibson was KORN's touring guitarist from 2007 to 2010 and a member of Jonathan Davis' solo band, THE SFA'S. He will be greatly missed."
Said KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch: "I've never had the pleasure of meeting Shane, but I'm honored he was able to fill my spot after I left KORN. He was an amazing guitarist. Hopefully we can jam together in the next life. RIP, brother."
Added KORN guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer: "Shane Gibson, you were an amazing guitar player and an amazing person. Your kindness and talent will be missed. I'm very fortunate to have known you."

 Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release "Joe Satriani: The Complete Studio Recordings", a 15-CD library box housing the rock guitar virtuoso's most comprehensive anthology ever, on Tuesday, April 22.

One of the most influential and respected instrumental rock guitarists to emerge in the past three decades, Joe Satriani is that rare "musician's musician" who's crossed over into the mainstream with music sublime and complex, appealing to a wide variety of tastes.
A true master of the six-string, Satriani worked as a guitar teacher in his early career, with a number of his students — among them Steve Vai, Kirk Hammett (METALLICA), Larry LaLonde (POSSESSED, PRIMUS), David Bryson (COUNTING CROWS), Charlie Hunter and more — achieving their own considerable successes.

CARNAL FORGE: Two New Songs Available For Streaming
 Swedish thrashers CARNAL FORGE will release a new single, "When All Else Fails", on April 30. It will include the tracks "Chemical Disincorporation" and "Bleed For Me", the latter of which features guest guitar solos from Per Nilsson from SCAR SYMMETRY and Mike Wead of KING DIAMOND and MERCYFUL FATE.
Both "Chemical Disincorporation" and "Bleed For Me" are now available for streaming below.
Joining CARNAL FORGE's founding guitarist Jari Kuusisto in the band's current lineup is Jens C. It's Official: MALCOLM YOUNG Taking Break From AC/DC Due To 'Ill Health'
Legendary Anglo-Australian hard rockers AC/DC have released the following statement:
"After forty years of life dedicated to AC/DC, guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young is taking a break from the band due to ill health. Malcolm would like to thank the group's diehard legions of fans worldwide for their never-ending love and support.
"In light of this news, AC/DC asks that Malcolm and his family's privacy be respected during this time. The band will continue to make music."
As previously reported, a musician who says he has been friends with AC/DC for "years" has corroborated reports that Malcolm Young is no longer able to perform with the band due to illness. Mark Gable, lead singer with the CHOIRBOYS, told ABC Radio Australia, "From what I understand, and it's even been confirmed in part by his son Ross… It would appear Malcolm is unable to perform anymore. It's not just that he is unwell, it's that it is quite serious. It will constitute that he definitely won't be able to perform live. He will probably not be able to record."
Australian journalist Darryl Mason wrote that Malcolm suffered a stroke last month. According to The Age, a source who knows the Young family has said that Malcolm's condition has deteriorated so badly that his wife Linda and family were investigating full-time care for the guitarist. It is believed that Malcolm is currently having in-home care at his home in the Sydney area. He is said to be having difficulty remembering familiar faces and having increasing problems communicating.
AC/DC singer Brian Johnson has shot down reports that the band is retiring, telling U.K.'s Telegraph that the band is about to begin work on its 16th studio album. "We are definitely getting together in May in Vancouver," he said. "We're going to pick up some guitars, have a plonk, and see if anybody has got any tunes or ideas. If anything happens, we'll record it."
While the members of AC/DC are notoriously private, Johnson did reveal in a 2012 interview and in a February 2014 one that an unnamed member of the group had been ill — but whether that was Malcolm remains unclear.
Asked about the prospect of retiring one day, Johnson told The Pulse Of Radio that he would know when the time had come. "You know, retirement is like anything," he said. "A good football or a good ice hockey player, they don't want to retire. But unfortunately, sometimes there's a time when you have to call it quits. I don't want to do it, and if we can get out another album and do another little short tour or something, and have a bit of fun, well. I'm your man. I'll be right there."
AC/DC's last album was 2008's "Black Ice", one of the group's most successful later albums, which was followed by a nearly two-year world tour.

VADER: 'Where Angels Weep' Lyric Video Released
 The official lyric video for the song "Where Angels Weep" from Polish death metal veterans VADER can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "Tibi Et Igni" (a Latin phrase which translates to "For You And Fire"), which will be released on May 30 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2011's "Welcome To The Morbid Reich" was recorded at Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland with producers Wojtek and Slawek Wiesawski. The artwork was handled this time by a true legend of visuals, Joe Petagno (MOTÖRHEAD).

Germany's NARRATOR Release Video For 'Stunde der Wölfe'
 German folk metallers NARRATOR live up to their name again. With their debut EP, Von Kreaturen und Kriegern, they already confronted the listener with tales about history and mythology. This is not only presented through the lyrics, but also through the music: hard guitars become a melodical event by their combination with bagpipes and flutes, and the voice of vocalist Julian brings the narrations to life with an unexpected intensity.
With their new video, for the song 'Stunde der Wölfe', taken from their upcoming album Schatten der Zeitalter, they prove again their ambition to present quality and entertainment.
Instead of shooting a "normal" music video, Narrator united with the production firm AVA Studios and director Oliver Sommer to shoot 'Stunde der Wölfe' on Schloss Virnsberg (near to Bad Winsheim) and to befittingly visualize the song. HEARTIST: 'Pressure Point' Video Released
 "Pressure Point", the new video from Southern California's HEARTIST, can be seen below. The song is taken from from the band's debut full-length album, produced by David Bendeth (PARAMORE, OF MICE & MEN, BRING ME THE HORIZON), which will be out later this summer via Roadrunner Records. A second new track titled "Skeletons" will arrive on April 29.
HEARTIST spent the majority of 2013 grinding it out on the road in support of its debut EP, "Nothing You Didn't Deserve", and is currently supporting BLESSTHEFALL on its U.S. headline tour. The trek, dubbed "The Hollow Bodies Tour", features Roadrunner labelmates THE AMITY AFFLICTION as well as SILVERSTEIN and SECRETS, and is set to continue through mid-May where it will eventually wrap up at Mesa, Arizona's Nile Theater.
Regarding HEARTIST's sound, the band's vocalist, Bryce Beckley, previously said: "When we first joined together, we had a collective goal that we didn't want to get stuck in a specific scene; get locked in to where we could only play heavy shows and that kind of thing. We deliberately wrote our EP so that it was kind of a transitional sound, in between heavy rock and hardcore music, with breakdowns and stuff. And we did it that way so that if we made a transition in either direction, it wouldn't be super surprising to fans. [On the upcoming] full-length, and we're going for a much heavier, dark rock sound."
