BLACK ANVIL - 'Eventide' Track Streaming
 New York-based black metal crew BLACK ANVIL recently announced the release of their third full-length. Aptly titled Hail Death, the release
is the band's most epic and fully realized album to date. It's one of those rare releases that not only stays true to the band's roots but manages to transcend them in a way that works all of their seemingly disparate influences into an amalgam of heavy music that's as original as it is earth-shaking. The sonic fury was captured at Magpie Cage by J. Robbins of Jawbox, who, although best known for recording punk and post-hardcore acts, perfectly understood the band's creative vision.
"He's got a really good style of making records and I knew he would understand that we wanted to make this sound live and organic as opposed to tight and compressed," relays bassist/vocalist Paul Delaney, citing KISS' Destroyer and METALLICA's Master Of Puppets as inspiration. "I wanted it to be a little more rock 'n' roll sounding because I felt the songs were a little bigger and structured. It tells a story from beginning to end and the recording reflects that."
As such, the behemoth offering includes a bonus track: A Black Anvil'd cover of 'Under The Rose' from KISS' iconic ninth studio recording, The Elder.
Hail Death wasn't an easy album to make and the band members' personal turmoil is reflected in every frenzied moment of the album. "I went through a lot of stuff over the past year and it caused me to move and spend a year of my life in solitude," Delaney says, explaining that for twelve months he would sit in his room and pour all of his energy and inner chaos into these songs. "This is our journey. I can honestly say that this is probably the most important thing I've ever done in my life, even if it never sees the light of day for some reason I'm insanely proud of it."
Hail Death, which includes the cover art of Metastazis (BEHEMOTH, ALCEST) will be released via Relapse Records in North America/UK/World on May 27th, preceded by Germany/Benelux/Finland on May 24th.

THREE LIONS - Debut Album Details Revealed
 British rockers THREE LIONS - featuring Vinny Burns on guitar (DARE, TEN, ASIA), Greg Morgan on drums (Dare, Ten) and introducing Nigel Bailey on vocals and bass guitar - will release their self-titled debut album on April 18th via Frontiers Records.
Three Lions features 12 new tracks, written by the band and also in collaboration with producer Alessandro Del Vecchio on two songs. Recorded at The Viper Room, Coil Tap Studios in the UK and Ivory Tears Studio in Milan, this album combines massive guitar riffs and great hooks alongside driving rhythms and powerful, yet emotional vocals.

The band was formed when Vinny, Greg and Nigel were introduced by Serafino and Alessandro at Firefest in October 2012. The guys hit it off straight away and immediately set about writing new material for the album. The first single, 'Trouble In A Red Dress', captures the energy of the band and is a classic foot stomping rock song with an infectious groove, soaring guitars and a chorus you have to sing along with.
The album is made up of songs that were written without an agenda. “We set out to write good songs, the only criteria was that all of us liked them” said Nigel, “Working with Vinny and Greg has been a blast and we were all determined to make the best album possible and are immensely proud of the songs that have made it onto the final record."
From the eastern influenced 'Kathmandu', to the driving power of 'Hellfire Highway' and 'Twisted Soul', to the heartfelt ballads 'Made For One Another' and 'Don’t Let Me Fall'. This album delivers passionate performances from the guys.
Vinny’s trademark guitar work is, as you would expect, filled with emotion and feel. “I wanted to start with a blank canvas for the guitars” says Vinny. “This album allowed me to show a different side to my playing whilst retaining the familiar sound and feel fans of Dare and Ten will recognise”.

After finishing six godforsaken songs, de saw that it was good. Icon is Satanic death/grind with no subtlety or respect for its listeners, as Satanic death/grind was meant to be.
A reaction to today's overproduced, perfected and soulles metal, nothing about Icon is perfect, which is what makes it perfect.

KAUNIS KUOLEMATON - ‘Itsestään Kuollut’ Lyric Video Streaming
 KAUNIS KUOLEMATON (“Immortal Beauty”) sails the darkest waters of melodic death metal, ready to release their furious debut full-length album, Kylmä Kaunis Maailma, through Violent Journey Records on April 25th. A lyric video for the track ‘Itsestään Kuollut’ can be found below.
Kaunis Kuolematon was formed during the spring of 2012 in Hamina, Finland. The band originally gathered to bring life to songs composed by Mikko Heikkilä, previously known from his vocal and guitar work in established metal bands such BLACK SUN AEON, ROUTASIELU and SINAMORE. The band’s debut paints a blackened view to living and embraces death as a long lost friend.
Kylmä Kaunis Maailma was recorded during the year 2013 by Saku Moilanen (RED MOON ARCHITECT) and the band themselves. It was mixed by Saku Moilanen at Deep Noice studio and mastered by Juho Räihä (BEFORE THE DAWN, GLORIA MORTI..) at SoundSpiral Audio.

CATEGORY VI Unleash Debut Video 'Reborn'
 St. Johns, Newfoundland’s CATEGORY VI have released their first ever video for the song 'Reborn', taken from their debut album, Fireborn:
Fireborn is available now on iTunes and other digital platforms. Fireborn features over 50 minutes of melodic metal, traditional metal, and even a few hints of thrash.
Discussing the album, the band said, "It's been a year in the making and finally our album has been set free! THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT Release 'Take It Back' Video
 British blues rockers THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT have released a new music video, for the track 'Take It Back', featured on their self-titled debut album. The video was filmed with director Charlie Miller of The Mono Grande.
The Temperance Movement recently announced an exclusive vinyl to celebrate this year's Record Store Day in the UK, paying tribute to two legendary British acts.
Recorded during sessions at the famous Abbey Road Studios in February, the limited edition 7" vinyl features covers of 'Up In The Sky' by OASIS and 'Tender' by BLUR. The Record Store Day exclusive release will be available at independent record stores around the UK on April 19th.
Founded in 2007, Record Store Day takes place on the third Saturday of April each year, bringing together artists and independently-owned record stores to celebrate the art of music. KARI RUESLATTEN - 'Rainy Days Ahead' Video Streaming
 KARI RUESLATTEN, founding member of the progressive doom metal band THE 3RD AND THE MORTAL, has released a video for the track 'Rainy Days Ahead' , featured on her fifth solo album, and first in nearly a decade, entitled Time To Tell, available via Despotz Records.

Reformed SCARS OF TOMORROW To Release 'Failed Transmissions' In June
 SCARS OF TOMORROW is back and firing on all cylinders.
The band has reformed and will release a brand new album, titled "Failed Transmissions", via Artery Recordings on June 24. SCARS OF TOMORROW, formerly signed to Victory and active in the early '00s through 2007 before splitting, will also play the main stage at this year's New England Metal And Hardcore Festival, set to take place this weekend. "It's been six years since the SCARS OF TOMORROW's final tour," singer Mike Milford said. "In that time, many things have happened and changed.
"Music is the best outlet for emotions and it's something we all needed to feel again. This time, the game has changed and it is awesome to be able to write and play music for all of the right reasons again with no politics behind it." Video Premiere: HELLYEAH's 'Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)'
 "Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)", the new video from HELLYEAH, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Robert Sexton (SOULFLY, DEATH ANGEL, THE DWARVES, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, AMEN, MONDO GENERATOR, GENÖCIDE) in Hollywood, California.
"Sangre Por Sangre (Blood For Blood)" is taken from HELLYEAH's fourth studio album, "Blood For Blood", which will be released on June 10 via Eleven Seven Music. The CD was helmed by producer Kevin Churko at his The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. Churko is the Canadian musician, sound engineer, songwriter and record producer who has previously worked with OZZY OSBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and IN THIS MOMENT, among other acts.
On the cover artwork for "Blood For Blood", HELLYEAH vocalist Chad Gray collaborated with renowned tattoo artist Paul Booth. Booth has been tattooing for over twenty years, and in that time he has worked on many celebrities and rock bands, including SLAYER, SLIPKNOT, SEPULTURA, SOULFLY and LAMB OF GOD. Paul says of the "Blood For Blood" artwork: "The last project that Chad and I worked on together was the MUDVAYNE blacklight design. I had such a great time working on that art, when Chad called on me to design HELLYEAH's 'Blood For Blood', I jumped right into it as I knew it, too, would likely be a fun one. Chad always gives me the freedom to explore and interpret his ideas. It always makes for great collaboration. I look forward to seeing it all in print!"

HELLYEAH parted ways with guitarist Greg Tribbett and bassist Bob "Zilla" Kahaha before making the new album, with drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott saying that the split became necessary after HELLYEAH finished its last tour.
He explained, "We felt like we had really got some momentum and the fans were really into where we were going and what we were doing musically and we got into the studio about three weeks after that tour was over and it just really became obvious to us that Greg and Zilla, they weren't really in the same head space as us."
HELLYEAH has recruited new bassist Kyle Sanders, a former member of BLOODSIMPLE and the brother of MASTODON's Troy Sanders, and will announce the name of a touring guitarist shortly.
The band will head out on a mix of festival gigs and shows with AVENGED SEVENFOLD starting on April 12 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.

WINTERSUN, ABORTED, SCAR SYMMETRY Members To Guest On New BLOODSHOT DAWN Album
 UK melodic extreme metallers BLOODSHOT DAWN have announced some of the guests that are set to appear on their second album which is set to be recorded this summer. Sven De Caluwé from Belgian death metal band ABORTED will be weighing in with vocals, Swedish guitar maestro Per Nilsson of SCAR SYMMETRY and WINTERSUN’s Teemu Mäntysaari will also be adding pieces to the forthcoming album.
The band announced recently that album number two would be a crowd-funded project that will launch on April 16th. Bloodshot Dawn have since then started releasing a series of videos on the build up to the launch offering sneak previews of the new album content including artwork and music.

DAVE LOMBARDO's PHILM: Video Footage Of Rainbow 42nd-Anniversary Party Performance
 Video footage of PHILM — the Los Angeles-based experimental post-hardcore triumvirate featuring drummer Dave Lombardo (SLAYER), guitarist/vocalist Gerry Nestler (CIVIL DEFIANCE), and bassist Pancho Tomaselli (WAR) — perfoming on April 13 at the 42nd-anniversary party of the Rainbow Bar And Grill in West Hollywood, California can be seen below.
PHILM is currently seeking a suitable label to release the band's recently completed sophomore album.
In an interview with Cyclic Defrost, LombardoPHILM's first album, 'Harmonic', was a musical expression unlike any other album I've worked on. Blending structured songs and improvisations was the direction I intended to take the band. PHILM's ability to improvise and create music unlike the typical sounds that have emerged within the past 20 years is refreshing to me as an artist and drummer. As the producer of the band, I suggested for this album that we leave out the improvisations and focus on structured, concise movements. I always want to change it up and keep it fresh. As we write the third album, I'm reintroducing the double-bass drums which will take the songs to a different level."
"Harmonic" came out on May 15, 2012 via Ipecac Recordings.
"When people hear about my involvement in PHILM, they automatically assume that it will compare to SLAYER's sound," explained Lombardo. "They couldn't be more different. I have scaled down my drum set to a four-piece, reminiscent of the drummers from the late '60s that influenced me. Each song is unique in itself, I like to refer to it as 'rhythmic emotion.' It's almost like taking all the heavy songs of the '60s and bringing that era to a modern plateau, then blending them with the modern trance and psychedelic sounds of today."
Lombardo sat out SLAYER's Australian tour in February/March due to a contract dispute with the other members of the group. Filling in for him was Jon Dette (TESTAMENT, ANTHRAX). Dave has since been replaced in the band by Paul Bostaph, who was SLAYER's drummer from 1992 until 2001 and recorded four albums with the group. | 0 | |

KRUK - Before Album Artwork Revealed
 In late spring, Metal Mind Productions will release a brand new studio album by Polish hard rock band KRUK. Kruk’s fourth full-length release, entitled Before, should be interesting for fans of such big artists as DEEP PURPLE, LED ZEPPELIN, BLACK SABBATH and DIO. Today, the band reveal its cover artwork.
Piotr Brzychcy, Kruk's guitarist, comments: "We have an unwritten rule in Kruk not to return to the ideas from the past. But, from time to time, rules need to be broken... The cover artwork of our new album is one of those ideas which are usually hidden deeply at the bottom of the drawer. We were thinking about using this artwork for our previous album Be3. It caught our attention then but, for some reason, it didn’t match the overall concept of the album. This time, it matches our music perfectly. This little boy reminds us of the times when we were little… For a moment, we can forget all the difficulties of everyday life and return to the blissful childhood. The artwork was painted by my wife Ewa and digitally processed by our good friend Marek ‘Pty?’ Jastrz?bski."

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER To Release 'Fool 'Em All' DVD
 Michigan's unstoppable sons of molten melodic death metal THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER will release their brand new DVD on May 27. "Fool 'Em All" is the band's second DVD and follows up their immensely popular "Majesty". Once again, director Robbie Tassaro captured the band on tour for another installment of absurdity and hilarity! This time around, put on your 3D glasses (included in the package!) to experience the band in stereoscopic 3D in select scenes throughout the DVD.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER's previous DVD, "Majesty", reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top Music Videos chart and No. 5 in Canada. The DVD would later be certified gold in Canada.
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER just wrapped up the Decibel Magazine Tour with CARCASS, GORGUTS and NOISEM. In June, the band will return to Europe for club shows and festival appearances, including Hellfest, Download and Graspop.
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER's sixth full-length album, "Everblack", sold 13,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 32 on The Billboard 200 chart. Released on June 11 via Metal Blade Records, the CD was recorded at Audiohammer Studios (lead guitars and vocals), Rustbelt Studios (drums), and Regal Fecal (guitar and bass). Mixing was handled by Jason Suecof and Ryan Williams, mastering was completed by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (SEPULTURA, SUFFOCATION, UNEARTH) in New Windsor, New York. Frontman Trevor Strnad's horror-inspired lyrics persist on "Everblack", beginning with "In Hell Is Where She Waits For Me", a reference to the murder from which the band took for its moniker. The cover artwork was painted by renowned artist Nick Keller.
The "Goat Of Departure" clip, directed by Ben Mayer, was filmed in the band's hometown of Detroit. In typical THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER fashion, the video is over-the-top and even features the return of a classic THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER character, and a real, live goat. | 0 | |

LOUDNESS To Release 'The Sun Will Rise Again' Album In June
 Japanese metallers LOUDNESS will release their new studio album, "The Sun Will Rise Again", on June 4.

Fan-filmed video footage of LOUDNESS performing a brand new song, "Immortality", from "The Sun Will Rise Again", on March 31 aboard the Monsters Of Rock cruise, can be seen below.
LOUDNESS released its 25th studio album, "2012", in August 2012 via Tokuma Communications.
The band in 2012 inked a deal with FrostByte Media for the release of the "Eve To Dawn" outside Japan. The CD was originally made available in the group's home country in September 2011.
LOUDNESS released a CD+DVD set entitled "Live Loudest At The Budokan '91" on December 23, 2009 via Warner Music Japan. The album was recorded on May 31, 1991 in Tokyo, Japan and features Mike Vescera (OBSESSION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) on vocals.
In a 2012 interview with Examiner.com, LOUDNESS singer Minoru Niihara stated about the band's songwriting process: "First we have basic concepts and ideas for songs in Japanese and translate them into English. After that, we work with English-speaking songwriters. Then the songwriters will read lyrics and record them for us for pronunciation and intonation. We listen to them over and over to master them. It takes time to master them all, but in the studio I sing them so many times, recording, that I can sing them by heart by the time the recording is done. Memorizing songs for live performances is the same both in English and Japanese."
He added: "The hardest thing is pronunciation. My English has a heavy accent and not that great, but that is sort of my signature, I think. To make it easier, I just have to practice. Performing on the stage over the years has given me poise and self-confidence."
Asked about LOUDNESS' current drummer Masayuki Suzuki, who replaced the late Munetaka Higuchi in 2008, Niihara said: "His nickname is Ampan. Akira [Takasaki, guitar] jammed with Ampan in Sapporo and felt that he is 'our guy' and brought him to Tokyo to do an audition. [Bassist] Masayoshi [Yamashita] and I had never heard of him or seen him perform before he came to Tokyo with Akira. I loved his powerful playing style once I saw him in the audition and also loved the fact that it was very different from Munetaka's. Because Munetaka was such a great drummer, I understand that Ampan is constantly under pressure from being compared to him, but I believe he's the best at what he does and is a wonderful drummer."
He added: "Before he joined LOUDNESS, [Ampan] was working as a music producer and has written lots of songs in many different styles. He’s already written various songs from thrash metal to beautiful ballads for the band. Also, as a drummer he's brought the band a new groove. After Munetaka's passing, his playing has breathed new life into LOUDNESS. His twin bass drums have such a destructive power. We are extremely lucky to have found him."

STEEL PANTHER Performs Acoustic Version Of 'Weenie Ride' For METAL INJECTION (Video)
 Los Angeles glam-metal jokesters STEEL PANTHER recently performed the song "Weenie Ride" for the Metal Injection web site. You can watch video footage of the session below.
STEEL PANTHER is the '80s metal/hard rock tribute band formerly known as METAL SKOOL. Onstage, the band both pays tribute to and lampoons the heyday of '80s glam metal. The group's between-song comedy includes jests at conflict between bandmembers, discussions of drugs, sex, and improvised humor with the crowd.
Regarding naysayers that say STEEL PANTHER is a joke-metal band, the group's drummer Stix Zadinia told the South Bend Tribune: "Listen to our record and tell us that our songs aren't better than most of the bands out there. How funny is that? At the end of the day, it comes down to the songs. I think our songs — without sounding egotistical — I think our songs are great. When you hear the hooks in our songs, you hear the playing and you hear the vocals, you throw that up against any band in any era, and I think it stands up."
STEEL PANTHER's third album, "All You Can Eat", sold around 13,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 24 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD arrived in stores on April 1 via Open E/KLS.
Regarding the new CD title, singer Michael Starr said: "We feel like STEEL PANTHER is like a buffet. You know what I mean?! There's a little bit of everything for everybody. And you can have as much of us as you want."
The not-safe-for-work version of the official "Party Like Tomorrow Is The End Of The World" video includes celebrity cameos by "Jackass" star Steve-O, porn icon Ron Jeremy, "Breaking Bad" actor RJ Mitte and MMA fighter Chuck Liddell.

SKINEATER: 'Made Of Godsick' Video Released
 "Made Of Godsick", the new video from Swedish death metallers SKINEATER, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's debut album, "Dermal Harvest", which was released in North America on Febuary 19, 2013 (January 28 in Europe) via Pulverised Records.
According to a press release, the CD "showcases some of the most resilient veterans in the Swedish extreme scene, with past and present members from WOMBBATH, IN THY DREAMS, DARK FUNERAL, CARNAL FORGE, DEFLESHED, etc. The end result is an unstoppable skin-butcher unit literally flaying everything in its path! Never has death metal extremity been so well brewed with melodic darkness in a long time." VANHELGD Upload Single ‘Where All Flesh Is Soil’
 Relics Of Sulphur Salvation, the third LP from Swedish death metal quartet, VANHELGD, is set for spring release in North America via 20 Buck Spin and internationally via Pulverised Records, and today the first single from the devastating album has been made available.
Relics Of Sulphur Salvation was cavernously recorded and mixed by Joona Hassinen at Studio Underjord and finalized with crushing mastery courtesy of Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus (REPUGNANT, WATAIN, TRIBULATION).

ACCURSED SPAWN Release 'Burned Into Sterility' Track; Putrid EP Artwork Revealed
 ACCURSED SPAWN have released 'Burned Into Sterility', the first single from the death metal outfit's upcoming Putrid EP, along with the album artwork.

Vocalist Luke Wargasm commented on forthcoming EP: “This is a recording that I think we can all really be proud of as a band. BUFFALO THEORY MTL Release New Music As “Triple Single”
 BUFFALO THEORY MTL will be releasing new material in the form of a “Triple Single” that they are calling Murder Trilogy.
Coming from a bilingual city such as Montreal, the band felt it was a good idea to record an English (called ‘Disciple’) and a French (‘Obsédé’) version of the song. Since, the band’s singer is from Brazil, they also decided to record a Portuguese (‘Justiceiro’) version as well.
The songs are connected lyrically as well through the theme of murder, each having their own twist on the story and each completing the other.
The song ‘Disciple’ features special guest and theit long-time partner in crime, singer Patrick Mireault from the band GHOULUNATICS.
The French track has our guitar player Yannick Pilon singing lead vocals and our singer Anton Parr backing him up. They will be switching it up for the live shows as well. Stay tuned for some show announcements real soon.
