DAGOBA: 'Yes We Die' Video Released
"Yes We Die", the new video from French metallers DAGOBA, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's fifth album, "Post Mortem Nihil Est", which was released in Europe on May 27, 2013 via Verycords. The cover artwork for the CD was created by Seth Siro Anton.
Produced by former MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY guitarist Logan Mader in Los Angeles, "Post Mortem Nihil Est"'s two grand opening tracks, "When Winter..." and "The Realm Black", raise the bar for the rest of the album yet the remaining songs are definitely able to match the high standard. "Kiss Me Kraken", with its strong, harmonious chorus, blends perfectly with the hard black metal, whereas the single, "The Great Wonder", confirms that "Post Mortem Nihil Est" contains a whole arsenal of heavy weapons ready to destroy everything in its path.
"Post Mortem Nihil Est" track listing:
01. When Winter...02. The Realm Black03. I, Reptile04. Yes We Die05. Kiss Me Kraken06. Nevada07. The Great Wonder08. The Day After The Apocalypse09. Son Of A Ghost10. Oblivion Is For The Living11. By The Sword
In a recent interview with Suicide Scriptures, DAGOBA vocalist Shawter Oymyakon stated about the songwriting process for "Post Mortem Nihil Est": "For this album, I composed the songs in short time… in about 10 days. A song a day.
"I was out from a very obscure and sad time of my life, and I wanted to end this… kinda depressurize composing new stuff.
"For the first time in our career, we decided not to change a single note from the songs I wrote. I guess the record couldn't be more sincere."
He added: "Each record is a new adventure. And, of course, we want to improve ourselves each time. We give our best from gig to gig, record to record, and I hope our next album we'll be better again."
Oymyakon also commented on the band's decision to work with Los Angeles-based producer Mader this time around, saying: "Of course it was an artistic reason first. We're not a big or a rich band, so, believe me, if Logan could have been my neighbor… but still, now that the job is done, we're really happy that the U.S. market got an eye on us."

GEOFF TATE And Former Bandmates Request Four More Weeks To Hammer Out QUEENSRŸCHE Settlement
Singer Geoff Tate — who was fired from the Seattle progressive rock band QUEENSRŸCHE in 2012 after fronting it for three decades — and his former bandmates have once again requested more time to hammer out a settlement in their legal battle over the rights to the group's name.
King County Superior Court Judge Beth Andrus has signed a new order continuing trial date, allowing the parties four more weeks to come to an agreement over the use of the QUEENSRŸCHE name and its associated trademarks. If they cannot reach an agreement during that period, the five-day, non-jury trial is set to begin on April 7.
Tate and his former bandmates were previously granted five additional weeks in two separate requests in January and February to work on the details of their settlement agreement.
Tate and his wife, Susan, QUEENSRŸCHE's former manager, filed a lawsuit in June 2012 asking the judge to award them the rights to the band's name in exchange for Tate paying Eddie Jackson (bass), Michael Wilton (guitar) and Scott Rockenfield (drums) the fair market value for their interests in the QUEENSRŸCHE companies. Wilton, Rockenfield and Jackson filed a countersuit against the Tates in which they accused Geoff of creative obstruction and violent behavior, and Susan Tate of questionable business practices.
While ruling against Tate, the presiding judge determined that there was no legal hurdle in Tate also using the name with an all-new lineup of musicians. "I don't see any reason that Mr. Tate can't have the benefit, if he gets other members, of whatever name he uses of using the brand," Superior Court Judge Carol A. Schapira said during the July 13, 2012 court hearing. "I think [doing that would be] inherently confusing, although I'm sure the market can get these things sorted out," she added.
Wilton, Rockenfield and Jackson last year accused Geoff Tate of "continu[ing] to harm the QUEENSRŸCHE brand" since the Tates' original lawsuit was filed in June 2012. In a court document, they wrote: "The newest self-titled QUEENSRŸCHE CD release by the [Todd La Torre-fronted version of the band] entered the U.S. charts at #23 and continues to get 9-out-of-10-star reviews and is still selling very well on a weekly basis around the globe. In comparison, Geoff Tate released his own QUEENSRŸCHE CD in April of [2013] titled 'Frequency Unknown' and depicted as F.U. on the cover, which entered the charts at #82, received very bad reviews around the world, and has slowed to almost no more weekly sales. [The Todd La Torre-fronted version of QUEENSRŸCHE's] new CD even outperformed the last two CDs of them with Geoff Tate, selling more in a month than the 'Dedicated to Chaos' CD has since its release in 2010, and charting much better than both that album and the previous one, 'American Soldier'. Thus, the return to the classic sound [Tate's former] bandmates have made with the new CD and live shows has been met with overwhelming success."
They added: "Geoff Tate also chose very poorly in hiring live musicians that have shown that they are not capable of representing the correct performances of the QUEENSRŸCHE music legacy, and he was constantly replacing them. He has been offering his low-quality version of QUEENSRŸCHE to the promoters at a much reduced rate, as low as $10,000 per night, when, in fact, [his former] bandmates have done their best to keep the authorized QUEENSRŸCHE at an average of well over $20,000 per show this entire year. However, this becomes harder and harder with Geoff Tate's sub-par band and cut-rate pricing that continues to be damaging to the QUEENSRŸCHE brand and legacy no matter who ultimately wins control after trial."
In an interview with The Oakland Press, Rockenfield said said that "negotiations are ongoing between Tate and the singer's former bandmates and "there's still time for anything to happen between now and [the start of the trial]."
"I think our confidence is pretty high," Scott said. "There's a lot of legal stuff you have to deal with, but we just feel good and look at it as a light at the end of the tunnel and keep playing shows and making music. I think when you do that, the right decision will be made in time." | 0

MOTÖRHEAD's First-Ever Cruise 'MotörBoat' To Sail This Fall
MOTÖRHEAD's first-ever cruise, the MotörBoat, will launch this fall. It will sail from Miami, Florida to Key West and Cozumel.
Cruise dates, artist lineup and other details will be announced soon.
MOTÖRHEAD was recently forced to cancel its European tour due to the fact the band's frontman, Lemmy Kilmister, has been struggling with health issues since he suffered a hematoma in July 2013, leading to a three-week spell in hospital. The band called off a summer tour, then cut short their comeback show at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany. They then postponed a European tour set to begin in November.
MOTÖRHEAD's 21st studio album, "Aftershock", sold 11,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 22 on The Billboard 200 chart.
MOTÖRHEAD's previous CD, 2011's "The Wörld Is Yours", opened with 7,000 units to enter the chart at No. 94. The band's 2008 effort, "Motörizer", premiered with 6,400 copies to debut at No. 82, while 2006's "Kiss Of Death" registered a first-week tally of 3,500.
"Aftershock" was recorded at NRG Studios in North Hollywood, California.

The CD was recorded at SKINTRADE's studio and mixed by Oscar Ammer, frontman and songwriter of STEREOLITH, at Echobox Studio in Stockholm.
According to SKINTRADE, the band's new album represents "everything they stood for in the past, and exactly where they are musically at the present."
"Our focus always was and always will be on the songwriting and the ferocious riffs and grooves to match," says the group.
Added singer Matti Alfonzetti: "We have been working very hard writing songs and recording for over a year and half.
"We're really proud of the new album and we definitely feel that this is our best effort so far.
"We can't wait to get out on the road again and meet our old friends and to make new ones."
"Refueled" track listing:
01. Monster02. Liar03. Pay In Blood04. Hardcore MF Heartattack05. Close My Eyes06. Getting Away With Murder07. Mountain08. Been To The Bottom09. Worse Than Wasted10. Dying In Your Arms11. Wild One12. Look Me In The Eye
SKINTRADE's "best-of" album, "Past And Present", was released in March 2012 via Universal Music. The CD includes three new songs and 12 classics.
SKINTRADE was formed in 1992 by Matti Alfonzetti (vocals), George Bravo (guitar, backing vocals), Stefan Bergström (guitar, backing vocals), Hakan Calmroth (bass) and Håkan Persson (drums, backing vocals). The group's self-titled debut was released in 1993 and received overwhelmingly positive respnse from both media and audience. The singles "Sick As A Dog" and "One By One" were played frequently on the radio and their videos spun on MTV's "Headbangers Ball". The same year, SKINTRADE was honored with a Zeppelin award for "Best Hard Rock Album" and was nominated for a Swedish Grammis (Grammy equivalent) in the category of "Best Video." The follow-up CD, "Roach Powder", came out in 1995 with Thomas Skogsberg as a producer (ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER). The videos for the singles "Snap Goes Your Mind" and "Flies" were played regularly on MTV.
Between 1993 and 1995, SKINTRADE embarked on several tours of Europe and played at some of Sweden's and Europe's biggest festivals such as Sweden Rock, Hultsfred, Dala Rock, Dynamo Open Air (Holland) and Rock Am Ring (Germany). SKINTRADE also supported the Danish band D-A-D on their European tour in 1995. One of their last and most memorable gigs took place in late 1995 with the Irish band THERAPY? during a live radio show in Amsterdam, Netherlands. SKINTRADE disbanded shortly thereafter.
The idea for the SKINTRADE members to collaborate again came about as they got more and more requests from fans asking them to make new music. During the first rehearsal in May 2011, it became obvious that the band's chemistry was very much intact.
In the summer and autumn of 2011, SKINTRADE recorded four new songs at Sound Trade Studios with their old friend and partner Ronny Lahti, engineer and producer who previously worked with the band on all the recordings in the '90s.
SKINTRADE 2014 is:

FALLEN FATE: 'I Welcome The Dead' Video Released
"I Welcome The Dead", the new video from North East England's purveyors of modern metal FALLEN FATE, can be seen below. The clip is loosely based around band's blistering live performance, all the while there is the lingering presence of Vespa, the tortured soul behind the group's concept for FALLEN FATE's sophomore album, "Into The Black".
"Into The Black" was released on January 30. The follow-up to 2011's "The Virus Has Spread" was recorded, in part, in Stymphalian Productions in York with producer James Stephenson and was finished in vocalist Lee Skinner's home studio.
"Into The Black" retains FALLEN FATE's signature punishing heaviness but it's also apparent that the band has moved on musically since "The Virus Has Spread".
Comments Lee Skinner: "Dark, expressive and heavy…The sound and feel of FALLEN FATE has changed quite a bit since the release of 'The Virus Has Spread'. The band has progressed and developed a more solid metal sound while maintaining a unique mix of speed and heaviness in the music.
"Based on a horror movie theme around a young girl called Vespa, the concept of 'Into The Black' plays a big part in how the album sounds and how it is visually portrayed through the artwork and upcoming videos. It contributed to the evolving sound of the band as we introduced more keyboards and experimental sounds into the mix, giving it a different dark feel and sound."
Talking further about the concept of the album, Skinner elaborates: "She [Vespa] chose a life without faith and over time became possessed by a demon. The demon slowly took over her body and ultimately lead her to kill herself and her family.
"The drive behind the concept is to empower the listener to decide whether she was possessed by the Devil, as she has no saviour in her life, or if she was possessed by God, punishing her for her lack of faith."
The artwork for "Into The Black" was designed by both photographer Ian Cameron and Skinner through his own Black Venom Designs.
"Into The Black" track listing:
01. The Rise (intro)02. Blackened Within03. Until The Final Hour04. Into The Black05. Possession06. I Welcome The Dead07. Rituals08. Last Rites09. The Demise (intro)10. Vespa | 0

HELLYEAH: First Photo Of New Lineup
The first photo of HELLYEAH's current lineup — featuring the band's new bassist, Kyle Sanders (former member of BLOODSIMPLE and the brother of MASTODON's Troy Sanders) — can be seen above.
HELLYEAH recently parted ways with guitarist Greg Tribbett and bass player Bob "Zilla" Kakaha. A post at HELLYEAH's Facebook page discussed the split, saying, "Things happen for necessary reasons. It's so easy for people to assume or make up reasons for things. Don't ASSUME anything! The reasons for this parting of ways was for the better good. When you hear the new record, you'll understand." Still in the lineup are original drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott, guitarist Tom Maxwell and singer Chad Gray.
It's unclear if Tribbett will be replaced.
HELLYEAH's fourth studio album, "Blood For Blood", will arrive on June 10. The first single, "Sangre Per Sangre (Blood For Blood)", will hit rock radio in April.
Other tracks include "Demons In The Dirt", "Soul Killer", "Moth", "Gift", "Hush" and "Black December".
HELLYEAH is currently filming a video for an as-yet-undisclosed song off "Blood For Blood".
Photos from the video shoot can be seen below.
A press release describes "Blood For Blood" as a "welcome return to form" for the band, adding that it "sounds like a recharged HELLYEAH, taken up many notches."
HELLYEAH will hit the road this spring, starting with several festival slots in April and May.
HELLYEAH was formed in 2006 by NOTHINGFACE guitarist Tom Maxwell and bassist Jerry Montano, MUDVAYNE singer Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett, and former PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott.
Montano left a week after the release of the band's self-titled debut album in 2007 and was replaced by Bob "Zilla" Kakaha, who had played with Abbott in DAMAGEPLAN.
HELLYEAH's other albums include 2009's "Stampede" and 2011's "Band Of Brothers".
MUDVAYNE has not released an album since 2009 while Gray and Tribbett have been working with HELLYEAH.

RIVAL SONS Recording New Album; Studio Video Streaming
RIVAL SONS are in the studio working on their fourth full-length album, the follow-up to 2012's Head Down. The band entered LCS Studios at the beginning of January and will spend a full six weeks recording. The album will again be produced by Dave Cobb, who will have worked on all five Rival Sons releases.
Producer Dave Cobb comments: "This record the boys seem to have a fire in them! With Dave Beste in tow, we've never had this much time to make a record. During the previous albums, which were twenty days each, we had a room full of whiskey bottles at the end; this time, which is six weeks, there should be enough to fill a football field!"
Bassist Dave Beste adds: "After we played Nashville last summer, the guys asked me to join them in the studio to make this new record. And I said, 'Of course!'. It's an involved process, at times quite intense, but going well - all of us are excited with what we have so far and although there's still a long way to go, spirits are high. I'm looking forward to this newest Rival Sons effort being released and the band getting back on the road soon."
Guitarist Scott Holiday takes you on a tour of LCS Studios, Nashville:
The as-yet untitled new album is due to be released in spring 2014 on Earache Records in Europe, and via Century Media/Earache Records in North America. | 0

WARTHRONE - Venomassacre Due In April
Virginia's WARTHRONE are completing work on their debut full-length album, entitled Venomassacre, which is slated for an April release.
“Warthrone has been on a slight hiatus but is now back in full gear to release this new slab of blackened death metal brutality. Our debut EP was released in 2005 and with this new release we have been able to really refine our sound,” says ex-DYING FETUS drummer and current Warthrone drummer/guitarist Erik Sayenga.
“Expect brutal metal that may please fans from CANNIBAL CORPSE or NAPALM DEATH, to DARK FUNERAL or DIMMU BORGIR” says Sayenga. “We don't like to label ourselves just one style of extreme metal and we are huge fans of black metal and all death metal, so the mixture of the two just naturally comes out in Warthrone's music.”
Venomassacre will be released on the band's own label, Ghostorm Records, and will feature eight new tracks recorded at Sayenga's own Bloodbath Studios. Further, Venomassacre will feature a special guest appearance on a song with additional vocals by Beist of Norwegian symphonic black metal band KRAKE. | 0

INFERNO Nominated For Czech Grammy Award
The Czech Grammy Awards have nominated INFERNO's latest album, Omniabsence Filled By His Greatness, released last fall by Agonia Records, in the best hard and heavy music category. The 23rd annual ceremony will be held on April 14th in Prague. The full list of nominees is available at this location.
By unifying elements that make black metal special, Inferno set out on a tumultuous journey towards their own massive sound. The band took a leap forward over their previous release, Black Devotion (2009). Dissonant passages now go hand in hand with a delicate use of psychedelia, and the compositions became more demanding. While straightforward black metal and melodic riffs are still present, Omniabsence Filled By His Greatness gained in terms of quality, atmosphere, and songwriting. The full album can be streamed here. | 0

WARCHEST - Set To Record Second Album
Chilean thrash metallers WARCHEST have announced that they are due to start recording the drum tracks for their second album from February 21st. The remainder of the recording will be completed by the end of March at two different studios in Santiago, Chile.
The as yet unnamed upcoming album will be produced by guitarist and vocalist Christian Pelaez and Jose Tomas Garcia, who is the ex-guitarist of the band.
Christian Pelaez commented as follows: "We were working for this during the whole last year. We came up with nine tracks with a little more technical and modern style than the one before; so we think that its like a evolution from our part. About the lyrics, this is not a conceptual album, so it will continue with the line of the Aftershock. We are still definition the rest of things, such as mastering, art work and distribution. We are going to go through them with calm to make the right decisions as always. From my part I'm very exited, the demos are sounding killer already!. We don't know when are we going to have it ready, but we've assumed that it would be around mid year or end of it, the latest, We hoped, we can deliver it soon for you all!"
Aftershock was Warchest's debut album, released in 2010 via Madness Records in Chile and Digmetalworld Records in North America and distributed via MVD Entertainment Group.

IFING To Release Against This Weald Debut Album
In the great mythologies of northern Europe, the Earth came into being within the union of fire and ice. Amid this strange mixture of extremities, folk-inspired black metal has become an exemplary musical expression for these ancient, fantastical stories and tales.
Inspired by the true masters within the genre, longtime friends Fritz Petersen andTim Wicklund would form IFING in 2010. The band's name is taken from the great river in Norse mythology which separates the realms of the gods and giants. Based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, the duo have forged their sound into an atmospheric, elegant form of folk black metal in the grandiose tradition of BATHORY, WINDIR, SUMMONING, ULVER, and MOONSORROW. The resulting debut recording Against the Weald is dense with organic layers of synth, acoustics, blasting drums, and spacious hymns.
Finnish specialty metal label Blood Music is set to release this debut from Ifing on May 6th on digipack CD (1,000 copies) and a limited run of 300 vinyl LPs with 200 on silver, 100 on ebony.
As the ancient Norse used their natural world and surroundings to create myths, Ifing use these same ideas to convey Viking anthems of creation, the end, life and death, the afterlife, and the dichotomy of opposing forces on our world and beyond. | 0

NONEUCLID - Supergroup Featuring Members Of TRIPTYKON, OBSCURA, THULCANDRA, DARK FORTRESS Announce Blood Music Debut
Finnish specialty label Blood Music will introduce the global audience to NONEUCLID, one of extreme metal's most fascinating entities. The band features the considerable talents of members of TRIPTYKON, OBSCURA, THULCANDRA, and DARK FORTRESS, and yet manages to become even more than the sum of its parts. Blood Music will release Noneuclid's second studio album, Metatheosis, on May 6th on digipack CD with 12-page booklet (limited to 1,000 copies) and gatefold 2xLP limited to 250 copies with 100 on ebony and 150 on half-ebony/half-crystal vinyl.
Pre-orders will launch on March 5th at this location.
Metatheosis takes their unique musical amalgam several steps further in all respects. Entirely self-produced, the album offers a wide spectrum of colors, ranging from brutal death thrash to sludgy doom, symphonic prog-death with an edge, hallucinatory rock, and epic polymetric insanity.
Noneuclid have been described as "otherworldly" and "very modern and full of intricate details" by the international press, causing Legacy to marvel at the band's last album: "Reaching as lonely into the starry night sky as Cynic's 'Focus' did back in its day." Metal Review added, "“An unsettling amount of varying metal influences. Sixes on high.”
Founded in 2004 in Landshut / Germany, Noneuclid combine the instrumental virtuosity and relentless energy of extreme metal with chamber musical polyphony, high compositional ambition, and the explicit will to innovation. The name refers to dimensions outside conventional reality as defined by Euclid, andNoneuclid’s music strives to open doors to unknown psychic spaces.
Since their debut The Crawling Chaos (Merciless Records), the band has vigorously pursued their evolution; influences from different metal styles (progressive, death, thrash, black, doom) merge seamlessly with elements from classical, experimental and world music. Nevertheless, the focus lies always on musicality and cohesiveness, never on experiment or complexity for its own sake. Every song is its own world, obeying its own laws; the band seeks to think outside the box while being firmly rooted in extreme metal at all times.
This pioneering spirit led to an appearance in the renowned contemporary music festivals Dag in de Branding (Den Haag) and Dutch Music Days (Amsterdam), where the band premiered the 25-minute death metal symphony “Black Vortex Cathedral” as soloists along with the world famous Dutch Metropole Orchestra, in front of a stunned classical audience in the fall of 2008.
In 2010, the band realized Transition Metal, another ambitious orchestral project in Bavaria, together with the Bavarian Chamber Orchestra, in which the music of Noneuclid and Richard Wagner met and merged in an unprecedented encounter of genres. The orchestral version of Into The Light from this collaboration toured Germany and Holland in 2013 in 8 spectacular shows in the hull of a transformed freight ship traveling along the Rhine.
Noneuclid is:
Linus (Obscura, Fallacy) - bass
V Santura (Triptykon, Dark Fortress) - guitar
Morean (Dark Fortress, The Hungry Gods) - guitar, vocals
Seraph (Dark Fortress, ReVamp, Thulcandra) - drums | 0
