BEHEMOTH: Quality Fan-Filmed Video Footage Of Amsterdam Concert

BEHEMOTH's new album, "The Satanist", sold around 10,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 34 on The Billboard 200 chart.
BEHEMOTH's ninth full-length studio CD, 2009's "Evangelion", opened with around 8,500 units to land at No. 56.
"The Satanist" was released on February 3 in the U.K., February 4 in North America and Poland, February 5 in Japan, and February 7 in the rest of the world. "The Satanist" deluxe box, which is available in North America as an European import, includes: CD/DVD digibook in silver mirror slipcase with a high-quality 44-page booklet (with gold foil, UV gloss lamination), supersize poster flag (approx. 3.5' x 5'), wooden black inverted rosary cross, metal pin, black envelope with black communion wafers. The DVD, "Live Barbarossa", includes a professionally filmed show in Ekaterinburg, Russia, as well as 30-minute documentary about the creative process behind "The Satanist".
"The Satanist" was produced by BEHEMOTH, Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawscy and Daniel Bergstrand at Hertz Studio. The CD was mixed by Matt Hyde (SLAYER) and mastered by Ted Jensen (METALLICA, AC/DC) at Sterling Sound in New York City. The cover art for "The Satanist" was painted by renowned Russian painter and occultist Denis Forkas. The paint used included some of Nergal's own blood. Additional art and design was completed by Metastazis (PARADISE LOST) and Zbigniew Bielak (WATAIN, GHOST).
BEHEMOTH's video for the new single "Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel" was produced by Grupa 13 and is one of the band's most unsettling and unique works to date.

SUICIDE SILENCE: 'OCD' Performance Clip Featuring AUSTIN CARLILE
 On December 21, 2012, the metal community came together in an amazing way to celebrate the life of SUICIDE SILENCE singer Mitch Lucker and raise money for his daughter's future education (with an unforgettable evening of collaborative performances between past/present SUICIDE SILENCE members and elite heavy vocalists that created a defining emotional event forever captured on video and audio. "Suicide Silence - Ending Is The Beginning: The Mitch Lucker Memorial Show" will be released on February 18 in North America and March 17 In Europe as a CD/DVD digipack and CD/Blu-ray combo pack. The set was directed by Jeremy Schott of MentalSuplex Productions and Zafer Ulkucu of Backseat Conceptions.
Throughout the historic event, SUICIDE SILENCE band members played as guest vocalists covered their songs.
"Mitchell was born on October 20, 1984," says Mitch's mother, Denise Haddad. "He came out literally screaming and it ended up being his legacy."
"Mitchell was given that talent and that gift [of connecting with people through music] and even though he's not here today, those gifts are gonna continue to be shared because those young teens are going to tell their own children. That's how the legacy is gonna be able to be passed on."

Mitch Lucker died November 1, 2012 after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle crash in Huntington Beach on Halloween night.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Lucker struck a light pole near the intersection of Main and 13th streets and was thrown from his 2013 Harley Davidson. The motorcycle continued sliding south on Main Street and struck a northbound 2007 Nissan Titan pickup.
SUICIDE SILENCE recently entered the studio to begin recording its new album with producer Steve Evetts (SEPULTURA, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, WARBRINGER). The group's first CD with new vocalist Eddie Hermida (ex-ALL SHALL PERISH) will be released next summer via Nuclear Blast Entertainment, a division of Nuclear Blast Records formed by Nuclear Blast owner Markus Staiger and former Roadrunner A&R chief Monte Conner.

THE ANSWER: 'New Horizon' Video Released
 The official video for "New Horizon", the title track of the fourth studio album from Irish rockers THE ANSWER, can be seen below. The CD, which features mixes from rock icon Mike Fraser (AC/DC, METALLICA), was released on September 27, 2013 in Europe and October 1, 2013 in North America via Napalm Records.
Since its third studio album in late 2011, THE ANSWER iinstigated a major shakeup in its circumstances and with new management, live booking agents and with new record label on board, late 2012 saw them enter the studio with ex-LITTLE ANGELS vocalist Toby Jepson at the production helm.
The band was honored and privileged that the late Storm Thorgerson and his team designed the artwork for "New Horizon" and Storm was working on the album cover design just before his sad passing.
In an interview with Sea Of Tranquility, THE ANSWER frontman Cormac Neeson stated about "New Horizon": "It's an aggressive, hard-rockin' album that gets your ass shaking, for sure.
"I think we've got stronger at songwriting with every album. We also know how to play a bit now too. Along with some help from Toby, we were able to compile around twenty five good songs before we went into the studio. Then it was just a case of picking the ten that would make the clearest statement of where we're at as a band. Although there's a lot of great stuff on the limited edition digi version and vinyl edition of the album, including three tracks that were recorded during the actual album session but just missed out on the final cut. MAGNUM: Audio Sample Of New Song 'Too Many Clowns'
 Influential British melodic hard rockers MAGNUM will release their 19th studio album, "Escape From The Shadow Garden", on March 25 (one day earlier internationally) via Steamhammer/SPV. The effort will be made available as a limited digipak edition with bonus material, as a double colored vinyl LP, standard jewel case CD and download. The cover artwork was once again created by famous fantasy artist Rodney Matthews (ASIA, NAZARETH, ELOY).
"We used to be under permanent pressure from our record companies," says MAGNUM mastermind Tony Clarkin. "They kept calling us, demanding hit singles and radio numbers. But that sort of thing doesn't work on demand. Now we're with SPV, where it's a totally different situation. They give us the necessary time and trust us to do the right thing. That's probably the reason why I enjoy working with MAGNUM again."
Clarkin's regained joy in his band is omnipresent on "Escape From The Shadow Garden". Just like his simple-yet-logical work ethos. "I simply told myself: you're a passable guitarist, so you should play the guitar," he says. "As the band's guitarist and producer, I have all the freedom I need to create exactly what I feel like creating." The result of his latest burst of creativity consists of eleven wonderfully melodic rock songs which blend all the typical MAGNUM ingredients, sounding in a fascinating way both timeless and classic.
"This band has certain unmistakable trademarks," Clarkin explains. "Among them are my feel for melodies and Bob's unique vocal style."
Only a month after the release of its predecessor, "On The 13th Day", Clarkin started with the preparations for "Escape From The Shadow Garden" — as always, an exciting phase in his life.
"Before you haven't recorded and mixed every single note, you never really know whether you'll be happy with the result," he says.
"When I heard the final version of the eleven new songs with their different stories and diverse arrangements, I knew it had turned into an impressive and complete album.
"Together with the great cover artwork designed by Rodney Matthews, this is a release which forges an arch to the early days of MAGNUM's career. And that's wonderful!
"I was really happy when my friend Jimmy Lea of SLADE came to visit me at the studio again and said: 'You've done it again?'
"It doesn't matter whether by sheer luck or hard work — life could have gone a totally differently way."

BLACK STONE CHERRY: Audio Sample Of New Single 'Me And Mary Jane'
 Kentucky rockers BLACK STONE CHERRY will release their fourth album, "Magic Mountain", on May 6 (one day earlier internationally) via Roadrunner Records. The CD's lead single, "Me And Mary Jane", is set to hit radio waves in mid-February to coincide with the band's sold-out series of intimate "fan-curated" U.K. shows.

WITHIN TEMPTATION Performs Acoustic Version Of 'Run' As Part Of THE ORCHARD's 'Stairwell' Series

WITHIN TEMPTATION's new album, "Hydra", was released in North America on February 4. The album is available in several luxury formats. The cover artwork was created by Romano Molenaar ("X-Men", "Batman", "The Unforgiving").
The digital premium album, complete with digi-booklet, is available on iTunes and includes 18 audio tracks and a music video. In a recent interview with Ultimate-Guitar.com, Sharon stated about the songwriting process for "Hydra"": "A lot of bands were inspired by the '80s at the time we were writing 'The Unforgiving' album. There was a lot of music based on the '80s coming out and it had a lot of '80s flavors. With this new album, even though we're only a few years further up the road, you can feel that music has changed again. Music is not inspired on the '80s, but more like there are different influences in the music again. Music's always organic, and you feel things are changing comfortably."
She added: "When people asked us after 'The Unforgiving', 'Are you gonna make another 'Unforgiving' album?" we said, 'Of course.' Because we were really full of it in a positive way. We really like the album a lot and still do like it a lot but we really feel there's an '80s feel to the songs. When we started writing this album, again we felt like we were already knowing we were gonna go a different direction also."

DEAD TO A DYING WORLD Preparing To Record New Album
 Dallas, Texas-based blackened doom congregation DEAD TO A DYING WORLD will enter the studio in the near future to record the band's sophomore full-length release. The group is preparing to record this time with renowned sonic decimation engineer Billy Anderson (SLEEP, NEUROSIS, MELVINS), who will undertake the arduous task of harnessing their massive sophomore album. The new opus, bearing the title "Litany", will take the band's already powerful chaos-driven approach to new chasms of sonic exploration, with enough material planned to fill two full 12-inch platters, as with their debut release. "Litany" will also feature collaborations and contributions from members of SABBATH ASSEMBLY, PINKISH BLACK and ECOCIDE. "Litany" was developed with the themes of isolation, insanity, and reflection in a time of global devastation, evoking the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth; this new chapter reveals the aftermath of the self-titled release. From the ashes, we find three warring clans who personify each theme and embody their own unique struggles, each clan has sought their own way of survival in an unforgiving world, some in search for higher meaning, and others through methods of irrevocable cruelty. These concepts are explored individually and finally together, representing by synecdoche, our own struggles in modern society. Founded in 2010, DEAD TO A DYING WORLD incorporates cello, violins, and upright bass elements and more into a morose but intimidating end-time style of doom, with a putrid, blackened weight to their waves of slow-motion, Apocalypse inspired doom dirges and a harrowing double-vocalist approach. WAMI Project Featuring VINNY APPICE, DOOGIE WHITE, MARCO MENDOZA: Debut Album Title Revealed
 WAMI, the brand new project featuring vocalist Doogie White (RAINBOW, MICHAEL SCHENKER, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN), drummer Vinny Appice (BLACK SABBATH, HEAVEN & HELL, DIO) and bassist Marco Mendoza (THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE) alongside 16-year-old Polish guitarist Iggy Gwadera, will release its debut album, "Kill The King", this spring via Metal Mind Productions.
WAMI is currently promoting the album in Poland with the track "Guardian Of Your Heart", which features guest appearance by Piotr Cugowski from the popular Polish rock band BRACIA. The first international single, "Wild Woman (You Oughta Know)", will be released on March 11.
The idea to record an album together was born after THIN LIZZY's concert in Poland. Mendoza — impressed with Iggy, who supported THIN LIZZY with his band ANTI TANK NUN — suggested that they record some music together. This first idea, which was maturing for the next dozen-odd months, eventually evolved into the above-mentioned project.
In a recent issue of Polish edition of Metal Hammer magazine, Vinny stated about WAMI: "The music is quite heavy. but not as dark as, for example, BLACK SABBATH or KILL DEVIL HILL. It's melodic music, and very well performed. I would label it high-quality heavy rock." He added: "When I first heard that music, I really liked it. Later on, I was informed that the guitarist is only 16 years old. I thought, 'Wow, what an incredible instrumentalist.' And then I learnt that Marco Mendoza will be involved in this project and that made me even more interested in this idea. OBSESSION Announces New Bassist
 American metallers OBSESSION have announced the addition of bassist Jeff Curtiss to the group's ranks. The band states: "Jeff exploded onto the metal scene only recently [and is] a fantastic thundering talent on the bass. You may know him from the band SYMPHONY OF MALICE, where he made his debut. He is now the ultimate low end in OBSESSION! We are excited to have him on board!"
OBSESSION's latest album, "Order Of Chaos", was released in October 2012 through Inner Wound Recordings. The CD was made available in Japan through Spiritual Beast.
In an interview, OBSESSION singer Michael Vescera — who has also spent time in ANIMETAL USA, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and LOUDNESS — described "Order of Chaos" as "a cross between 'Carnival Of Lies' [2006] and the early OBSESSION stuff." He added, "I think it's geared more towards the older sound, the straight-tforward metal like the 'Marshall Law' album [1984], but you can hear some of the 'Carnival' sound in there, too."
The Japanese edition of the album features the exclusive bonus track "The Damned".
"Carnival of Lies" was re-released through Mausoleum Records on February 12, 2008. This reissue featured new artwork and the bonus tracks "Panic In The Streets" (previously only available on the Avalon release in Japan) and "Judas". The album's title track featured Swedish guitar sensation Robert Marcello (DANGER DANGER, IRONHORSE) and Boston based neo-classical shred-god Joe Stump (REIGN OF TERROR).
OBSESSION gained success in the late '80s with the release of a four-song EP, 1984's "Marshall Law" (Metal Blade Records), two LPs (1986's "Scarred For Life" and 1987's "Methods Of Madness", both for Enigma/Capitol Records), and an MTV "Headbanger's Ball"-aired video for "For the Love of Money", from "Methods of Madness".

Former FREHLEY'S COMET, W.A.S.P., CRASH KELLY Members Join Forces In FOUR BY FATE
 Vocalist/guitarist Tod Howarth (FREHLEY'S COMET, CHEAP TRICK), bassist John Regan (FREHLEY'S COMET, PETER FRAMPTON), guitarist Sean Kelly (CRASH KELLY, HELIX) and drummer Stet Howland (W.A.S.P., LITA FORD) have joined forces in a brand new band called FOUR BY FATE.
According to Howarth, FOUR BY FATE will play "some COMET tunes and maybe some tunes from other big bands that we've all collectively played with."
FOUR BY FATE wrote on its Facebook page last night: "It won't be too long before you hear some killer material and we come rockin' through your town."

GHOST's PAPA EMERITUS II 'Dresses Down' For MUSIC FEEDS In-Studio Performance (Video)
 Swedish occult rockers GHOST, who toured Australia recently with the Big Day Out, dropped by the Music Feeds studio in full clergymen attire to perform "Ritual", a cut from their debut full-length album, 2010's "Opus Eponymous"; "Year Zero", a song from their second full-length album, 2013's "Infestissumam"; and a cover of Roky Erickson's classic track "If You Have Ghosts". The latter song's progressive-rock undertones are emphasized by the strong vocals of GHOST frontman Papa Emeritus II, who dressed down slightly for the occasion. Check out the footage below.
GHOST's covers EP, "If You Have Ghost", sold around 5,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 87 on The Billboard 200 chart. Issued on November 19, 2013 via Loma Vista Recordings, the five-track EP was recorded and produced by Dave Grohl (FOO FIGHTERS, NIRVANA), and includes cover versions of songs by ROKY ERICKSON, ABBA, ARMY OF LOVERS and DEPECHE MODE, plus a live version of the GHOST offering "Secular Haze", recorded in Brooklyn earlier this year. Outside North America (with the exception of Scandinavia), Spinefarm Records is the new releasing partner for Loma Vista on all GHOST recordings, including the new EP and previous album. Spinefarm releases are distributed through Caroline/Universal in all territories, including the U.K., where the EP was made available on November 18, 2013. "If You Have Ghost" is available on CD, 12-inch vinyl and digitally. Those who pre-ordered the EP received an instant free download of "Secular Haze - Live".
