SECRET SPHERE - New Album Details Revealed
 Long-running Italian power metallers SECRET SPHERE have revealed details about their new album, Archetype.
According to a band update, "the album has been produced by Aldo Lonobile (guitar) and Federico Pennazzato (drums) and will feature 10 songs in the typical vein of the band trademark! All the songs has been arranged by Aldo Lonobile and Antonio Agate.
We have special guest in this new album like Trevor from SADIST singing along with Ramon (R. Messina) in the opening track and Alessandro Conti from TRICK OR TREAT and Damnagoras from ELVENKING singing all the choirs with Ramon.
Well we can’t say will be like this or this, for sure will be Secret Sphere, some songs are very close to A Time Nevercome era, some other closed to SBT (Sweet Blood Theory), some is completely new also for us.
But all of the CD has been composed during the greatest year of our career. Some arrangements had been decided on the road during the GAMMA RAY tour! We really think you will enjoy the music!"

WINTERHORDE: Two New Songs Posted Online
 Israeli melodic extreme metal band WINTERHORDE has posted two brand new songs, "Tenth Wave" and "The Martyr and Deliverance", on the group's MySpace page. The tracks come off WINTERHORDE's sophomore full-length album, "Underwatermoon", which will be released later this year through an as-yet-undetermined label.
"Underwatermoon", a conceptual album based on the story written by WINTERHORDE's bass player and co-founder Celestial, was recorded partly with German producer V. Santura (DARK FORTRESS, TRYPTIKON, OBSCURA) and Morgenrrot, WINTERHORDE's keyboards player. The CD was mixed and mastered by V. Santura at Woodshed Studio in Germany. The artwork was created by Gustavo Sazes of Abstrata Studio (ARCH ENEMY, OLD MAN'S CHILD, KRISIUN).
Commented Celestial: "'Underwatermoon' represents more-than-an-hour epic extreme metal art, blended with prog rock nostalgia and death-cold touch of North Atlantic Ocean. A must have for every open-minded metalhead who needs hunting journey through emotions in his metal."

SICK OF IT ALL\'s First Seven-Inch Single to Be Re-Released For \'Record Store Day\'
 SICK OF IT ALL's first seven-inch single is now back in print with an initial new run of 550 copies on clear vinyl. It will be available only to independent record stores for one month starting on April 17 to celebrate "Record Store Day" and the release of SICK OF IT ALL's new album, "Based On A True Story". As an added bonus, many record stores will have lots of giveaways, including stickers, CDs, buttons and other stuff provided by Revelation, No Sleep, Bridge 9 and a lot of other labels.

ARMS OF THE SUN Featuring REX BROWN: Another New Song Posted Online
 "Falling To Pieces", a brand new song from ARMS OF THE SUN — the project featuring Rex Brown (PANTERA, DOWN) on bass, John Luke Hebert (KING DIAMOND) drums, Lance Harvill on vocals and guitar, and Ben Bunker (GRYN) on guitar — is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

ARMS OF THE SUN recently completed work on thirteen tracks that were produced and mixed by Terry Date (DEFTONES, PANTERA, SOUNDGARDEN). The material is set for release through Extreme Music, which provides class-A production music to all major networks and studios, ad agencies and production companies, including FOX, HBO, NBC, BBC, MTV, SKY, ABC, Discovery, Nickelodeon, Turner Entertainment Networks, Universal, Lions Gate, Miramax, Sony Pictures, Touchstone and Disney, to name a few.
ARMS OF THE SUN recorded the music, written by Lance Harvill, late last year at Willie Nelson's Pedernales Recording Studio in Austin. The project is executive-produced by Sir George Martin (THE BEATLES) and Mark Ross for the Grandmaster Series, which celebrates four of the world's top producers spanning from the '60s through the '90s, including Sir George himself, Terry Date, Jack Douglas (AEROSMITH), and Hugh Padgham (THE POLICE).

DEGRADEAD Recording Third Album
 Stockholm, Sweden-based melodic death metallers DEGRADEAD have entered Peter Tägtgren's (HYPOCRISY, PAIN) Abyss studios in Pärlby, outside Ludvika, Sweden with producer Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, CENTINEX, WORLD BELOW) to begin recording their third album for a late 2010 release.
The first in a series of video clips containing behind-the-scenes footage from the recording sessions can be viewed below.
DEGRADEAD's sophomore album, "Out Of Body Experience", entered the national chart in the band's home country at position No. 48. The CD was released on February 27, 2009 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and March 2, 2009 in the rest of Europe via Dockyard 1 Records. The follow-up to 2008's "Till Death Do Us Apart" was recorded primarily at Abyss studio in Sweden with Kjellgren. Mixing and mastering took place at Dugout Productions (IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) in Uppsala, Sweden.

U.D.O. - Two Upcoming Shows In Belarus Cancelled, Replacement Date In Kiev Announced
 German metal veterans U.D.O., featuring former ACCEPT frontman Udo Dirkschneider, have been forced to cancel two shows in Belarus planned for April 19th and 20th in Mogilev and Vitebsk respectively. The band has issued the following statement:
"Our Russian tourpromoter just informed us that the two shows in Belarus are cancelled because of problems with the local promoter in Belarus. Seems to be very difficult to find a serious guy there. The band really regrets this decision but it is not into our hands to decide this. We are very sorry for all the fans who wanted to meet us there.
Because of two available dates in the schedule our tour promoter booked a show for April 20th in Kiev, Ukraine at Shtolya Club."

Commented guitarist Johannes "Axeman" Losbäck: "When approached by Morningstar Film Production to shoot a video for 'Hail Cesar', we were thrilled since we've never worked with them before. They had similar ideas as we did for a video since we wanted a 'down-to-earth' heavy metal video. No fancy stuff, just a lotta Flying Vs and headbanging.
"We decided to let Morningstar follow us from load-in 'till doors close. And where better to capture the insanity of a WOLF gig than in Gothenburg, Sweden at the Belsepub on our 'Ravenous' tour?
"All said and done!
"We give you a video with us, our fans, beer, guitars, tattoos, sweat and the works. We wanted the intense feeling of a club gig and we wanted to make it feel like 'you're there.' We threw in a few clips from a movie as well, just to give it an artistic feel... but truth said... we just wanted the headbanging, right?

DEW-SCENTED: New Album Artwork Unveiled
 German thrashers DEW-SCENTED have unveiled the cover artwork for their new album, "Invocation", due on May 24 in Europe via Metal Blade Records and May 25 2010 in North America through Prosthetic Records. The artwork was created by Björn Goosses of Killustrations and can be viewed below.
Commented vocalist Leif Jensen: "We were lucky to work with Björn again and he did an amazing job on this one, nailing down an apocalyptic artwork that fits perfectly to our style as well as the concept/vibe of 'Invocation'. Total thrash!
"We have been working with Killustrations non-stop for all our albums and merchandising matters since 2003's release, 'Impact', and are once more very proud of the final results!"

ARMA GATHAS: New Song Available For Streaming
 ARMA GATHAS, the metal band featuring former CATARACT guitarist Simon Fülleman, ex-BORN FROM PAIN singer Ché Snelting, MACHINEMADE GOD and ex-CORNELIUS guitarist Marc Niedersberg, ex-DISLOYAL drummer and drum student Max van Winkelhof and Alex Härtel on bass, will release its debut album, "Dead To This World", on April 27 (one day earlier internationally) via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded in November 2009 at the Barracs studios with producer Sky Hoff, who has previously worked with CALIBAN. The mastering was handled by Alan Douches at the West West Side Studio in New York.
"Dead To This World" contains 13 songs, ranging from bludgeoning aggression and frustration in its purest form to atmospheric interludes and music pieces.

SKYFORGER: Another New Song Posted Online
 "Kurbads", the new album from Latvian pagan metal kings SKYFORGER, is scheduled for release in Europe on April 26 and in North America on May 11 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at the Latvian studio Lauska with the group's own bagpipe player, Kaspars Barbals, handling engineering duties. The bandmembers also produced the album themselves to make sure the recording sounds authentic and "100% like SKYFORGER."

ENFORCER: \'Diamonds\' Cover Unveiled
 Swedish heavy metallers ENFORCER have revealed the cover art for their new album, "Diamonds", due to be released in Europe by Earache Records on May 24 and the rest of the world by Heavy Artillery Records on May 25.
Commented ENFORCER singer Olof Wikstrand: "'Diamonds' in some way refers to that we're seeing things in a little bigger perspective, or at least we think we do, haha. To me the word sounds majestic in some strange way, and that's what I like about it, too.

GORGOROTH: Half Of Next Album Recorded In Pre-Production Form
 Norwegian black metallers GORGOROTH have issued the following update:
"Infernus [guitar] has just returned from rehearsals in Tomas Asklund's [drums] Monolith Studio outside of Stockholm, and the work on the follow-up album to 'Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt' is progressing as planned.
"Half the new album (which is still untitled) has been recorded in pre-production form, and work on the album will continue through the year in between touring and festival appearances, with a tentative 2011 release date.
"The upcoming European tour is GORGOROTH's first European tour since 2005 and the first tour to feature Pest (vocals) since 1997, and the band is looking forward to getting back on the road again after this long absence.
"Infernus has also made the decision to exclusively use EVH amps from now on, and is pleased to announce that an endorsement deal has been made."

HOSTILE CELL: New Album Delayed
 The release date of "The Deafening", the sophomore album from the Gothenburg, Sweden-based metal/rock band HOSTILE CELL, has been pushed back to May 12 from the previously announced April 6 (via the group's own Coreshot Productions, with distribution through Plugged Records). According to the group, the delay was caused by the fact that the cover art by David Heleander of All Custom Tattoo hasn't been completed yet and that the mastering of the album has been postponed. | 0 | |

SOILWORK Completes Recording New Album
 Swedish metallers SOILWORK have finished recording their new album, "The Panic Broadcast", and are currently mixing the effort at Fascination Street studio in Örebro, Sweden with Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, PARADISE LOST, BLOODBATH).
Commented vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid: "There are no limitations to the joy we feel about this album.
"We started mixing the first song today, 'The Thrill', [and] it sounds absolutely majestic!!! Jens Bogren, the mixing engineer, also has a big smile on his face and is doing a fantastic job!
"We will start to mix the second song tomorrow. [I] can't wait."

IMPALED NAZARENE Planning New Studio Album, Concert DVD
 Finnish extreme metallers IMPALED NAZARENE have issued the following update:
"We have decided to re-sign with Osmose Productions once again. It was actually very easy decision to make: We are celebrating 20 years of IMPALED NAZARENE on November 2010. All our full-length albums have come out on Osmose and basically we felt no other label should have our anniversary album.
"We will enter Hellhole Studio (Helsinki) in late summer to record our 11th full-length album. Album title [to be announced].
"We have been busy working on new songs, we have four ready.
"We have two shows left (April 10th in Helsinki, Finland and May 1st in Switzerland) and after them we stop playing shows till new album is out. We will fully concentrate on making our strongest album to date.
"Not only we will have new album out on November 2010.
"We will play our 20th anniversary show in Kuopio, the most metal city in Finland. This show will be on 20th of November at Henry's Pub club. We will FINALLY record live DVD there.
"We chose Kuopio and Henry's Pub simply because Kuopio has the best audience in Finland and Henry's Pub is the best club in Finland. Yes it is small but perfect for live DVD recording. Ticket price (and how and when to obtain them) and more info will be announced later."

APOCALYPTICA Perform New Song In Concert, Fan-Filmed Video Footage Available
 In anticipation of their forthcoming album, APOCALYPTICA performed a new song entitled 'Beautiful' in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine on March 28th. Fan-filmed footage is available below.
As previously reported, Apocalyptica's new album will be entitled 7th Symphony. It will follow up their chart-topping release Worlds Collide. 7th Symphony will be Apocalyptica's seventh studio album. The band recently announced tour dates in their native Finland with more international dates to be revealed soon. The band's complete live itinerary can be found here.
On 7th Symphony, Apocalyptica fans can look forward to more of Howard Benson’s (MOTÖRHEAD, PAPA ROACH, SEPULTURA) production as well as strong artistic direction from Joe Barresi (TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, COHEED & CAMBRIA).
