Tampa’s Psykotribe will release their debut LP The Devil’s Complex, in stores and digital outlets February 14 through EMP Label Group. A video for the title track can be found below.
Recorded at Mastersound Studios in Tampa, and Produced by Thom Hazaert and Preston DiCarlo, the album showcases the band’s hard-hitting extreme metal style, as dual vocalists Dana Darkly and Jakob Sin, guitarists Jamez “Madness” Harrison, John Williams, and Chris Lewis, bassist Chad Zielesch, and drummer Adam Zielesch, deftly weave, (or brutally stomp) their way through finely crafted tapestries of black and death metal, classic thrash, and even hard rock, as showcased on the single “End it”, mixed by Max Norman (Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth), and featuring bass by Megadeth’s David Ellefson, which also appeared on the second disc of Ellefson’s Sleeping Giants release.
A longtime underground favourite in and beyond their native Florida, Psykotribe recently completed a European tour in support of The Devil’s Complex supporting Six Feet Under, and a string of US dates with underground thrash favourites master. The band has also shared stages with the likes of Deicide, Dying Fetus, Morbid Angel, The Faceless, Combichrist, Cradle Of Filth, Mushroomhead, Doll Skin, Goatwhore, The Agonist, Soilwork, Doyle, Mortiis, Thy Art is Murder, Origin, and many more.

Experimental rock phenomenon Villagers Of Ioannina City electrifies with their hooky first single, “For The Innocent”, alongside a hypnotic music video. The track appears on the band’s standout album, Age Of Aquarius, set to be physically released via Napalm Records on April 3, 2020.
Alex’s crooning, unique vocals accent the sludge-woven first shades of “For The Innocent”, drawing its listener into the track as it progresses into a psychedelic rock anthem. Gritty blues guitar riffs and driving drums are accented by folk instrument contributions to form a gusty vortex. Somewhere in between blistering traditional Greek elements and swampy-tinted rock, the oscillating soundscape creates its own magical sphere.
Accompanied by mesmerizing visuals, Villagers Of Ioannina City leads the listener through a sunburned aura coalescing with hallucinating images of dreamers and wanderers of mind – The Innocent. Represented by the fans themselves, this added an extra personal touch to the video. In spellbinding mania, the artful kaleidoscopic illusions carry “For The Innocent”.
Villagers Of Ioannina City’s unique synthesis of post, kraut and psychedelic rock influences underlined by a palpable dose of heaviness and Greek folk elements precisely hits the mark.
Villagers Of Ioannina City on “For The Innocent”: "We are really really happy to present to you our new video clip! Dedicated to all the dreamers, the deviants, the immigrants of life and the wanderers of mind! To all the innocent ones!"
The region of Epirus is famous for its landscape of mammoth mountains and holy rivers – and now experimental heavy rock. Villagers Of Ioannina City are deeply influenced by Greek nature and cosmic phenomena and infuse their unique brand of heavy psychedelic rock with folk instruments such as bagpipes, flutes and didgeridoos. Their second album, Age of Aquarius – originally released in September 2019 – will now be reissued by Napalm Records. Epirus may become the unlikely epicenter of the heavy rock universe: A mantra for the new age!

And this album should be very powerful."

God Dethroned have released their new album, Illuminati, via Metal Blade Records. You can order the album in a number of formats here.
A video for the new single, "Book of Lies" (the third of three interconnected short movies), can be viewed below.
God Dethroned guitarist/vocalist Henri Sattler comments: "Illuminati is out today and we can't wait for everyone to check out the album! We are also launching a third video today for 'Book Of Lies', which connects the storyline of the two previous singles/videos and hopefully is a track that will spark your interest in listening to the full album! Also, we are soon to start a heavy touring campaign: First it's three special album release shows this weekend, then next week we start a first European tour with Obscura, and afterwards it's festival time, but also another European tour of which we will reveal details soon. We look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming shows this year!"
The immutable power of the Netherlands' greatest blackened death metal band, God Dethroned, rings true on new album, Illuminati - their most varied material to date. With a cover by Polish master Michał 'Xaay' Loranc (Nile, Evocation), Illuminati is conversant in the tenets of death metal - experimental where it needs to be, and indomitable in spirit. It's the kind of album that will bestow the Dutch heroes with accolades and push them across Europe (first with Obscura - see dates below) and then the rest of the globe (planning for North and South America is under way) throughout 2020.
Henri Sattler on Illuminati: "Freemasons, occultists and conspiracy theory enthusiasts pay attention! God Dethroned is back to smack you in the face with our new album called 'Illuminati'. After finishing the World War One trilogy, it was about time to go back to dark side with songs about religion, freemasonry and the occult. Song titles like 'Spirit of Beelzebub', 'Broken Halo', 'Book of Lies' and 'Satan Spawn' leave very little to the imagination as to what to expect from us from a lyrical point of view.
But those of you who expected us to go back into a raging frenzy of endless blastbeats and buzzsaw blade guitar sounds better beware. 'Illuminati' is our most varied album to date with a heavy, yet in-your-face type of production. We managed to make our sound bigger and more orchestral than ever before with the use of both atmospheric keyboard parts and many additional vocal parts such as choirs and grunt-on-tone type of vocals. There is a lot to be discovered in the songs of this album because of the many details hidden in the music that will only reveal itself after many listens, and at the same time the tunes on 'Illuminati' are catchier than ever before.
Lovers of Rhandy Roads-meets-Marty Friedman type of melodic guitar solos should definitely give Dave Meester's spectacular leads a listen. Dave was welcomed to the band's line-up during the European tour with Belphegor and Suffocation and stayed within our ranks ever since. Former guitar player Mike Ferguson however contributed greatly to 'Illuminati' by writing several stunning songs and riffs as well as recording half of all the rhythm tracks on the album. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours."

Deception and fear of death are the main themes of Finnish melodic death metal band Dead Serenity’s new single, ”Betrayed”, available now. The song is the third single taken from the band’s Beginnings EP, which will be released in late February.
Like Dead Serenity’s previous releases, ”Betrayed” can be found on all major streaming services. The music video is Dead Serenity’s first and was produced by the band’s bass player Kimi Ylinen. Watch below:
SEPULTURA's music video for the song "Means To An End" can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's latest album, "Quadra", which was released on February 7 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Guitarist Andreas Kisser comments: "Sepulnation around the world, the wait is over! 'Quadra' is out now!! It feels great to be here today with such a strong album in our hands, I cannot wait to see you all on the 'Quadra' world tour. Thank you, all the fans around the world that keeps this band alive and motivated. Let's celebrate 'Quadra' together. Play it loud! I know I will!"
He adds about the new song/video: "'Means To An End' is our third video/single taken from our new album 'Quadra'. Is the second song on the album. It is a very powerful and complex theme that inspired director Otavio Juliano and Luciana Ferraz to make an amazing visual interpretation of the song. It shows the human greed with no limits, the arrogance and the ignorance of ourselves, we think we can do it all without knowledge, without respect. Judas and his treason, defying death in a chess game, saving money for who’s knows what and how much is enough? It was shot in the city of Jundiaí, in an old train station museum and in São Paulo as well, at an old bank safe, it was the biggest in Latin America from the '50s till it got shut down in the late '80s. We had a lot of fun working on it and I'm very happy with the final result. Hope you like it! See you on the 'Quadra' world tour."
"Quadra" is a concept album created at Sweden's Fascination Street Studios with renowned producer Jens Bogren. It will be followed by a world tour starting in March.
SEPULTURA comprises Kisser, vocalist Derrick Green, bassist Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr., and drummer Eloy Casagrande.
Kisser previously stated about working with Bogren on "Quadra": "He is so full of passion, it's unbelievable, man. He's really there, he really cares about the projects he's doing. For SEPULTURA, he's like the fifth member of the band. The chemistry was so amazing, 99 percent of what we were trying do to actually worked. That was insane!"
Green added: "The experience was like no other time in the studio. I felt the preparation was key in making the recording process go as smooth as possible. We were relentless each day giving everything that we had until complete exhaustion of the mind, body, and soul. This album is a direct result of the sign of times. The music is an evolution needed to push ourselves to go further than we ever have."
SEPULTURA was formed in Belo Horizonte by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, who are no longer with the band.
"Quadra" is the follow-up to 2017's "Machine Messiah", which was SEPULTURA's fourteenth studio album and the eighth since Green joined the ranks. Lyrically, the disc tackled the metaphorical robotization of society and the need to follow and worship someone.
HER CHARIOT AWAITS is a newly formed hard rock/metal group featuring the highly regarded Spanish vocalist Ailyn (ex-SIRENIA) and the awesome American guitarist and producer Mike Orlando (ADRENALINE MOB). The band's self-titled debut will be released on April 10 via Frontiers Music Srl. Today, the band has released the first single and music video, "Dead & Gone". Check it out below.
Ailyn says: "'Dead & Gone' tells as story in the first person of how it feels to have been neglected and abandoned by somebody, in this case a biological father. It's about the words the character, a woman, wants to express to make him realize how he made her feel, and in a way put an end to that story in her life and be able to move on."
On the writing of the track, Mike says: "The song came together musically starting with the verse guitar parts and the heavy bridge/solo section. From that point everything fell into place as I wanted the chorus to drop more into a slower half time groove. Lyrically, it started as somewhat of a letter from my girlfriend Dana regarding her biological father. I then turned the basis of what she was trying to say into a more streamlined story and added a chorus and some key sections. A true story brought to life in a song and a powerful message that Ailyn delivered wonderfully."
Continues Orlando: "We had a great time shooting the video over the course of a few days. It takes place in multiple locations, which included an old Victorian style home and a beautiful modern farmhouse style home owned by my dear friend Nancy. Ailyn plays the part of a daughter who feels neglected and abandoned by her father. The video ends up outside with the band performing around a raging fire pit in an attempt to rid herself of all the memories and pain and move on. The final moment being encompassed by her tossing dirt on the flame, putting an end to the story and walking away."
This exciting new musical alliance came about through the vision of Frontiers, who put the two artists — each eager to create a new and exciting project — in touch. The pair gelled extremely well, creating an album that offers songs that will excite all lovers of technical, aggressive, modern and extremely catchy heavy music. Melting the well-defined metal approach of ADRENALINE MOB with more melodic hooks, HER CHARIOT AWAITS showcases the incredible vocal talents of Ailyn. Here, she moves in a heavier and more straight-ahead direction compared to her previous band.
"After a two-year break from the scene, I am pleased to announce my new collaboration with Mike Orlando on HER CHARIOT AWAITS," enthuses Ailyn. "I'm very honoured and thankful to be part of it. I'm looking forward to everyone learning about this new adventure, which allowed me to experiment and explore a new side to my singing, working together with a great musician. HER CHARIOT AWAITS is a new step forward in my music career and I can't wait to share the beginning of this journey with all of you."
Orlando adds that "it was a pleasure to write and perform an album with a singer like Ailyn with music that is geared more towards the commercial side of rock. Ailyn has a beautiful voice and was great to work with in and out of the studio, as was Jeff Thal on drums! I'm very happy with how the album [came] out. It's a great collection of hard-hitting yet melodic commercial rock tracks, which I hope you will all enjoy."

This past December, BURNING WITCHES released an EP, "Wings Of Steel", featuring the brand new title track alongside three songs that were recorded during the band's appearance at last year's Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany. The EP was made available on black and colored vinyl.
BURNING WITCHES' first live performance with new singer Laura Guldemond took place in June 2019 at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden.
The vocalist of the Dutch symphonic metal band SHADOWRISE, Guldemond was recruited by BURNING WITCHES following the departure of Seraina Telli.
In a statement, Seraina said that she was leaving BURNING WITCHES "for personal reasons," vowing to "fully dedicate" herself to her band DEAD VENUS.
Formed in 2015, BURNING WITCHES has released two full-length studio albums, 2017's "Burning Witches" and 2018's "Hexenhammer".
The official Max Moore-directed music video for "Swallowing The Rabbit Whole", a brand new song from the Grammy-nominated band CODE ORANGE, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's upcoming LP, "Underneath", which will be released on March 13 via Roadrunner Records. The clip builds upon the final scenes of the video for the album's title track, and sees drummer/vocalist Jami Morgan emerging in a new role. A brutal discourse on self-reflection is delivered as CODE ORANGE proves once again it cannot be confined to any singular box.
Morgan commented on the track: "'Swallowing The Rabbit Whole' is the passageway into the deep descent that is the next era of CODE ORANGE… the next piece to the puzzle of 'Underneath'. Duality is key, not only thematically on this album, but in the continued evolution of our sound and the larger heavy music world in general. You've got it all figured out until you're drowning in it."
"Underneath" finds CODE ORANGE once again confounding expectations, piling element on element, and towering towards the sky. Rattling drum loops give way to bursts of rage as "Underneath" transforms into something colossal, daring, and resilient, setting the tone for one of the year’s most exhilarating heavy records.
Morgan stated about the new LP: "'Underneath' is about facing the duality in ourselves as individuals and as a society in an overcrowded, overexposed, all-consuming digital nirvana. Everyone has a voice and no one's seems to matter… plummet down the rabbit hole of your deepest fears, anxieties and regrets to confront the monster that has been building underneath."
"Underneath" is available for pre-order with bundles and four limited-edition vinyl colorways, each featuring a gatefold jacket with a lenticular cover, also available. Produced by Morgan and Nick Raskulinecz with co-producer Will Yip, "Underneath" features additional programming from Chris Vrenna, and was mixed by Yip and CODE ORANGE's own Eric "Shade" Balderose.
In 2017, CODE ORANGE flipped the heavy music world on its head with their breakthrough album "Forever", a collection that masterfully mixed hardcore aggression with urgent industrial textures, earning the band a breakthrough grammy nomination and top placement on several "Best of 2017" lists, including Rolling Stone's "20 Best Metal Albums of 2017", Revolver's "20 Best Albums of 2017" and The Independent's "Top 20 Rock & Metal Albums of 2017."
Last summer, CODE ORANGE made headlines in the professional wrestling world with the release of "Let Me In", their official entrance theme for WWE superstar "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. CODE ORANGE previously featured at WWE's NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III performing a rendition of wrestler Aleister Black's entrance theme alongside Incendiary's Brendan Garrone. "Let Me In" followed CODE ORANGE's 2018 release of "The Hurt Will Go On", a digital EP featuring "3 Knives" and "The Hunt" featuring Corey Taylor, as well as "The Hurt Will Go On" (Shade Remix), an official remix of CODE ORANGE's "Hurt Goes On" helmed by the band's guitarist and vocalist Shade. More recently, CODE ORANGE collaborated with a wide array of artists, co-producing Injury Reserve's "HPNGC" featuring JPEGMAFIA, as well as serving up a pair of remixes for alt-J's "Hit Me Like That Snare" and "Adeline".
Comprised of Jami Morgan (drums / vocals), Eric "Shade" Balderose (guitar / electronics / vocals), Reba Meyers (guitar / vocals), Dominic Landolina (guitar) and Joe Goldman (bass), CODE ORANGE is set to perform at an array of festivals this spring, including the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 10 and April 17 and Columbus, Ohio's Sonic Temple festival on May 15.

NIGHTWISH frontwoman Floor Jansen recently told FaceCulture that she was "very, very happy" with how the new disc turned out. "Already with the first notes, I [was, like], 'Oh, yeah. There we go,'" she said. "It's as much NIGHTWISH thing you might expect from us as, 'Wow! What's this now? What's happening?'"
She continued: "I can't really say too much about it, because there are a couple of things that are the same, a couple of things that are different. But all I can say is I'm very happy with it and I'm very excited about it. And I think people that already knew NIGHTWISH will really enjoy this."
NIGHTWISH's new album will mark the band's second full-length effort with the Dutch singer, who has been touring with the group since 2012.
NIGHTWISH's latest release was the "Decades: Live In Buenos Aires" set, which came out on December 6 as a Blu-ray digibook, 2CD digipak, Blu-ray+2CD earbook and 3LP via Nuclear Blast. The effort was recorded on September 30, 2018 at Estadio Malvinas in Buenos Aires, Argentina during the "Decades" tour in support of the band's compilation album of the same name.
AUGUST BURNS RED has been upholding the artistic pillars of technical proficiency, airtight grooves, and thoughtful lyricism in the hard rock world for 17 years now. The two-time Grammy Award-nominated Pennsylvania quintet — JB Brubaker (lead guitar), Brent Rambler (rhythm guitar), Matt Greiner (drums), Jake Luhrs (lead vocals) and Dustin Davidson (bass) — has announced its eighth full-length album, "Guardians", due on April 3 via Fearless Records.
AUGUST BURNS RED have just shared the video for the new song "Defender". Check it out below.
"The song 'Defender' is about having that person who can come in and take some punches for you, and be in your corner during hard times," says Rambler. "I am quite the comic book fan and I thought the lyrics could easily turn into an awesome animated short story — kind of like if the pages of a comic were to come to life. Luckily, everyone else agreed and we have this sick video to go along with the song."
The band also revealed that the album is their most truly collaborative effort to date.
"'Guardians' is the culmination of a complete and total team effort," says Brubaker. "Dustin and I collaborated musically more than we ever have before. Jake and Brent collaborated vocally more than they ever have before. Matt bounced more drum ideas off of us than we could even comprehend. It was the most time we've ever spent in the studio on one album. We're all so proud of this record, and we can't wait to share it with the world."
AUGUST BURNS RED will embark on a tour with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and LIGHT THE TORCH this spring in support of "Guardians".
Night Crowned - featuring Ken Romlin (vocals), Johan Eskilsson (Cipher System / guitars), Janne Jaloma Dark Funeral session / drums) and Henric Liljesand (bass / ex-Nightrage) - will release their new album, Impius Viam, via Noble Demon on February 28th. Combining past and present members of legendary acts as Dark Funeral, Nightrage and Cipher System, this unholy ritual is a true reawakening of the sounds dormant from the most influential acts and masterpieces of the Scandinavian ‘90s.
Check out the lyric video for "Unholy Path" and the official video for "IRA" below. Album details will be available soon.
In the frozen vasts of Europe's northernmost realms, a new slithering seed is festering at the heart of the Swedish scene - Night Crowned. A spawn formed from an unholy communion between current and previous members of the underground elite such as The Crown, Dark Funeral, Nightrage and Cipher System, this infestation is set to grow from a rumoured disease into a full-scale pandemic.
Night Crowned's musical vision is as clear as it is putrid; a reawakening of sounds dormant from the most influential acts and masterpieces of the Scandinavian 90's, although with all the advantages of a cutting edge, surgically precise production.
With a combined catalogue of over 20 full-length albums, this degenerate infant is procreated from seasoned and battle-hardened veterans, although with all the hunger that only such a gluttonous monster can possess. There will be no warning. No anti dote, and no remedy. At first you will feel nauseous, then your body will be covered in black boils, and finally both your mind and and matter will have been thoroughly infected by the blight that is - Night Crowned.
Prepare for an electrifying synergy of industrial harshness and dimness: German pioneers of European gothic metal, Crematory, have released their new single, “Unbroken”, off of their upcoming eponymous album, to be released via Napalm Records on March 6.
Along with a flashing and energetic music video, the monarchs of the night enter their manifestation of autonomy with the second single and title track “Unbroken”, featuring Robse of the German power metal band Equilibrium. The track impressively represents the quintessence of their upcoming album - the unmistakable, honest message is to stand up for yourself and fight all demons, no matter what your life throws at you.
Crematory remain themselves and draw in new listeners with their renowned brutality and expressive strength. Robse’s forceful and raspy growls mixed with Felix Stass' remarkable voice underline this proper blackness in an industrial guise. The standout track proves that Crematory is still at the top of the scene and highlights the bold message: Unbroken - we still keep on fighting.
Crematory on the new single: ““Unbroken” is a tribute and a thanks to our loyal fans, who have been supporting and encouraging us for over 29 years. Playing in a band is like being in a relationship - there will always be ups and downs and you have to solve all that to become stronger than ever!”
With Unbroken, the German pioneers of gothic metal present 15 energetic tracks boasting brutal riffs, deep growls and tight drum grooves - proving their diversity even after almost 30 years in the business. In addition to the concise influences of Neue Deutsche Härte, Unbroken appears as a bravura-piece in an industrial guise.

Richmond, Virginia-based metallers LAMB OF GOD have released a brand new single and video, "Checkmate". The song is taken from the band's new, self-titled album, which will be released on May 8 via Epic Records in the U.S. and Nuclear Blast Records in Europe. The follow-up to "VII: Sturm Und Drang" will mark LAMB OF GOD's first recordings with Art Cruz, who joined the band last July as the replacement for the group's founding drummer, Chris Adler.
"'Checkmate' brings together all the components of the LAMB OF GOD sound that we've been developing over the last two decades, but with the ambition and ferocity that comes with the start of a new chapter for our band," says guitarist Mark Morton. "Re-energized and reignited, this is LAMB OF GOD 2020. We've never been more excited."
The fact that the band's eighth studio effort would warrant "self-titled" status is a testament to the band's pride and satisfaction with these songs and this period in their creativity.
"Putting only our name on it is a statement," singer Randy Blythe says. "This is LAMB OF GOD. Here and now."
A true collaboration between all members of the band, LAMB OF GOD's eighth studio album is an amalgam of each individual's contributions, blended to create a singular style. Guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler fuel the album with a mountain of riffs, taking what LAMB OF GOD are known for, and unbelievably, upping the ante to new levels. The rhythm section of John Campbell, looming large as a rhythmic shadow, and drummer Art Cruz, who makes his studio debut with LAMB OF GOD here on this record, underpin the proceedings with passion, sweat and expansive dynamics. Vocalist D. Randall Blythe is as angry, insightful, and informed as ever. Never one to shrink from facing the darker aspects of our nature head-on, Blythe delivers with no punches pulled, and as only he and LAMB OF GOD can in 2020.
In celebration of the release of "Checkmate" and the announcement of the new album, LAMB OF GOD will appear at a special show at the House of Vans in Chicago on February 14. The event is free and fans can RSVP beginning at 12 noon CST today at HouseOfVans.com. The event will include a photography exhibit featuring photos from D. Randall Blythe that will be included in the new LAMB OF GOD album artwork. HARM'S WAY will open the show.
In the midst of writing the ten songs that appear on "Lamb Of God", the group hit pause on the works-in-progress to man the stage as main support SLAYER's "The Final Campaign". After months of playing their best-known songs nightly, LAMB OF GOD returned to the new tracks and began to work with longtime producer Josh Wilbur (KORN, MEGADETH, GOJIRA, TRIVIUM). Special guests Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Chuck Billy (TESTAMENT) also make appearances on "Lamb Of God".
