VAN CANTO: 'Neverland' Video

On August 10, German a cappella metal band VAN CANTO will release its seventh studio album, "Trust In Rust", via Napalm Records. The official video for the song "Neverland" can be seen below.

Since 2006, they have brought pure vocal power to the metal world. Now made up of seven members, VAN VANTO's "Trust In Rust" covers a wide stylistic range, from melodic to bombastic, showcasing the band's takes on ballads, hard rock ballbreakers and speed metal anthems. Covers, ranging from HELLOWEEN's "Ride The Sky" (featuring HELLOWEEN's Kai Hansen) to AC/DC's "Hells Bells", give listeners a completely fresh glimpse at the vocal crew. The sound of "Trust In Rust" reflects VAN CANTO's varied experiences on the road with unbroken power and passion for the human voice in heavy metal.

VAN VANTO comments on the new album: "If you release seven albums in 12 years, you aren't able to rust. Nevertheless, the new album is rougher and more metal. It's a composite work of all seven bandmembers, full of new ideas but without losing the good old VAN CANTO style. We are still excited about what we are doing and believe in ourselves — 'Trust in Rust'!"

MOURNING GREY Premiers "Scarred" Music Video

Phoenix-based hard rock/alternative metal band Mourning Grey have released a video for "Scarred", from the band's new Hollow EP, which is available now on digital outlets worldwide via Pavement Entertainment.

The video focuses on the foursome playing to the backdrop of a harsh desert with a plane covered in graffiti. Clearly, the emotions in "Scarred" are as raw as the elements of the barren landscape in the video. Mourning Grey does not hold back, belting out the vocals and instrumentals in this gutsy track about heartbreak.

While the song talks about the scars and depression heartbreak leaves you with, vocalist Benjamin Chapman notes, "In the end, 'Scarred' talks about living with the sickness. Even a person who has been destroyed and terrorized can overcome it."

Lineup:

Benjamin Chapman - Vocals
Chris Jeter - Drums
Dave Vaughan - Bass

"I've been devoted both musically and as an activist to fighting injustice at every turn," he added. "Amid this heightened sense of impending doom, it's now time to rally the troops in a last-ditch effort to save the planet, and our artistic souls. OWL Feat. HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES Bassist CHRIS WYSE: 'Believe' Video Released

Los Angeles hard rock trio OWL takes a moment to explore the manifestation of dreams and desires on its potent and powerful new video, "Believe".

OWL is the highly personal creative vehicle of vocalist/bassist Chris Wyse, longtime bassist for THE CULT and member of Ace Frehley's band, along with drummer Dan Dinsmore (THE CLAY PEOPLE) and recently returned guitarist/vocalist Eric Bradley. Wyse and Dinsmore formed their first band together as teenagers in upstate New York, and have maintained a working version of OWL over the years, even as Wyse's star ascended as a bassist following his move to Los Angeles.

The band's new song, "Believe", explores the real act of materializing one's beliefs and taking control of destiny. Recorded between Wyse's tours with Ace Frehley and the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES, the track is the first new recording in over ten years to include original guitarist Eric Bradley, who first met Wyse when they played together in the Jerry Cantrell band.

Camping out at Albany's Overit Studios, the trio utilized a live recording approach, and Wyse pushed the boundaries of integrating an upright bass and bow into the band's music in innovative ways.

Currently touring the world with the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES, Wyse is excited about the future of OWL and the prospect of further uninhibited creation.

WESTFIELD MASSACRE Releases 'Famine' Video

WESTFIELD MASSACRE, which features in its ranks singer Seann Nicols (a.k.a. Sheldon Tarsha; formerly of Bobby Blotzer's RATT, ADLER'S APPETITE and QUIET RIOT), has released the official Ron Underwood-directed music video for its new single, "Famine". The track is taken from the band's forthcoming full-length album.

Nicols took over as the lead vocalist for WESTFIELD MASSACRE in June 2017 when the band parted ways with Tommy Vext, who currently sings for BAD WOLVES.

WESTFIELD MASSACRE has a sound that can be described as a bridge between modern American and European metal. With aggressive growls, high, soaring vocal melodies, impossibly fast drums, classically inspired passages and harmonized guitar leads, WESTFIELD MASSACRE aims to make its modern metal accessible to fans of all music genres.

"Famine" is available on iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify, and other digital outlets.

WESTFIELD MASSACRE's self-titled debut album was released in April 2016 via Urban Yeti Records. The CD was recorded at Echelon Studios with producer Joseph McQueen.

LINKIN PARK's MIKE SHINODA Releases 'Brooding' Video

LINKIN PARK vocalist Mike Shinoda has released a music video for the song "Brooding", taken from his solo album "Post Traumatic". The clip, which can be seen below, was produced by Amigo And Company and directed by Rob Daly and Mark Fiore.

Shinoda spoke with ET Canada about the songwriting process for "Post Traumatic", which was released on June 15. He explained: "It started in a really dark place. In the beginning, I wasn't leaving my house. It felt very claustrophobic, having lost one of my closest friends and collaborators. We associate who we are, to some degree, with what we do, so I felt very lost."

He continued: "The experience of this last year has been crazy, and I wanted to put it into music, not only to just put a stamp on it and say, 'This happened,' but also to allow the fans and the people who have been along for the ride, to guide them on that journey in terms of keeping up with my narrative or understanding where I'm at."

Asked how difficult it was to write the songs for the album, many of which dealt with the death of LINKIN PARK singer Chester Bennington, Shinoda added: "Life was difficult; music was easy. The music made things easier."

Shinoda also spoke about dealing with his own grief over Bennington's suicide last summer, saying: "I had terrible days, and now I have less bad days. And eventually, I will find a new 'normal,' like a new stasis."

Shinoda played his first solo shows since the death of Bennington on May 12 at the KROQ Weenie Roast in Los Angeles and May 13 at the Identity LA festival, also in L.A. Shinoda mashed up some LINKIN PARK songs along with his solo material, singing some of Chester Bennington's parts from songs like "Bleed It Out". He played "In The End" on piano and let the fans sing most of Chester's vocal parts, though at times he came in and sang his parts.

CAYNE Feat. Original LACUNA COIL Guitarist: 'Celebration Of The Wicked' Video

"Celebration Of The Wicked", the new video from Italy's CAYNE, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "Beyond The Scars", which was released on June 29 via Graviton Music Services.

"Beyond The Scars" is more than a new album for CAYNE. It represents a rebirth, an awakening, a new chapter for the band, after a long silence lasting four years. During these years of turmoil, the group evolved and grew up, then started to write new music, feeding their project with new blood. While the wounds mended, scars were left and beyond those scars a reborn CAYNE arose with an album.

CAYNE was formed in 1999 by guitarists Claudio Leo and Raffaele Zagaria, who were also founding members of LACUNA COIL back in 1994. They released their debut album, "Old Faded Pictures", in 2001, after which the band went into hibernation for almost 10 years. In 2011 CAYNE came back to life and released an EP titled "Addicted", whose promotion was supported by an Italian tour as opening act for their friends LACUNA COIL. The band’s live performances received many great reviews on metal portals and in magazines, which inspired the sextet to start to work on a new album, simply titled "Cayne". This album has been released in 2013. Sadly though, the release of this album was darkened by Claudio Leo's passing after a long illness. To pay tribute to Claudio's legacy, the band carried on with even more passion, which took them on an 18-date European tour with VIZA, where they had the opportunity to play the mighty Hammerfest in the U.K. as well.

The end of 2016 marked another rebirth of the band: young drummer Giovanni Tani joined CAYNE and what now became a quintet started working on a new album in the studio, with Diego Minach as producer. This new album delivers the power of CAYNE's sound and at the same time taking things a step further. While Giordano's great vocal skills were instrumental in creating unforgettable melodies on the one end, the band further enriched the new songs with a wide use of synthesizers and electronics, as well as the inclusion of the band's signature sound by incorporating the violin in the musical arrangements.

The new album includes 12 songs and lasts for almost an hour. Meanwhile a comical video was produced for the track "Blessed By The Night", featuring the guys from the band riding a DeLorean in a wild night, where they encounter a bunch of famous cinema, comedy and music stars from the '80s.

STIMULI - Bay Area Rockers To Release Debut Album This Month

Bay Area rock band Stimuli create thoughtful and heavy rock music about the human condition, delivered through Jimmy Tomahawk's melodic and edgy vocals and spacious and heavy guitar riffing, Tai Hake's solid and snarling bass tones, and Cole Andrew's intricate and powerful drumming. Stimuli will release their first official full-length album titled They Are We in stores and online worldwide on August 17th. The album is a winding 11-track explosion of the trio's dense, ambitious, and fiercely original sound.

In April 2018, the band generated buzz when they released their debut single and music video for the album's title track, “They Are We.” The single knocks out a hard rock, radio-friendly sound that also exposes the introspective themes of understanding and empathy that permeates their new album. They Are We was recorded at the idyllic Russian River Studios on the Ingels Ranch in Talmage, California, where Tomahawk and Hake had previously recorded with their band Yeibichai. Ken Ingels, the owner of the studio, was extremely helpful, and they enlisted Andrew Miller to engineer and mix the album, and Mike Wells for mastering. For the artwork and album layout, the trio had their eyes photographed and then overlaid the irises so that the colors merge and overlap, accomplished thanks to the superb talents of Michael Miller at Digital Realm Productions, who brought their vision to life in a way that represents the music on the album exceptionally well.

Not only do Stimuli masterfully rock the traditional power trio format, the band also incorporates synth atmospherics and eclectic instrumentation that is not often associated with contemporary Hard Rock. Bassist Tai Hake also plays Theremin, and their music features Native American flute, sitar, acoustic guitar and ambient synthesizers. Lyrically, Stimuli's themes possess a rare depth - insightful and meaningful, ruminating on personal experiences and reflections about peace, empathy, destiny, and self-actualization. Combined together, Stimuli are a sort of “Thinking Person's Rock Band.”

While all members are of a shared generation, their influences run the gamut. The heavy, tight and polished sound of Stimuli has been compared to Alice In Chains, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, Tool, Rush, and Nirvana. The individual and collective history of the band is just as varied and multi-faceted as their music. Comprised of seasoned musicians from around the world (drummer Cole Andrew is from Australia), Stimuli is a collage of three very strong-willed personalities who, like most productive collaborations, happen to have chemistry and work well together.

“Our music contains a strong emotional intensity with personal, social, and philosophical messages about the human experience,” explains guitarist/vocalist Jimmy Tomahawk. “Although there is an undeniably serious disposition in the band's message, as individuals, we don't take ourselves very seriously at all - satire, slapstick humor and wisecracks are the norm when we are together. It's a bit of a collective Jekyll & Hyde scenario, really. We try to remind ourselves that the initial spark of passion and the joy of playing music that caused us to pick up our instruments in the first place is why we do this!”

The formation of Stimuli began following the split of Bay Area rock band Yeibichai, the brainchild of Tomahawk and Hake. When Tomahawk came across a video of Cole Andrew demonstrating his powerful and detail-oriented drumming, he reached out and they began to jam. Tomahawk couldn't imagine any other bass player but Tai in the room with the sounds that he and Cole were creating. In 2013, Stimuli opened up shop in their new studio space at the fabled Soundwave Studios in Oakland. It was here that Stimuli became a band and their deep friendship and musical bond was solidified.

In early 2017 Stimuli found themselves at a crossroads. Things suddenly felt new, vivified, and stronger among the three of them, but a glaring question remained: who would be the voice of the band? Jimmy Tomahawk decided then that nothing was going to stop him from fulfilling his original plan as a young teenager of being the vocalist in his own band. With the encouraging support of his bandmates, Tomahawk began to write, and at some point along the way, singing became as fluid and as much of an unconscious operation for Tomahawk as playing guitar. In just a few short months the band was in the studio tracking drums and bass for the new album.

Stimuli feel an unprecedented sense of optimism and joy with the music they are making. The audiences are reciprocating that energy that is conveyed at their live shows with great fervor. With much more to come from this exciting new Bay Area rock band, it would appear that Stimuli are just getting started!

BEHEMOTH: 'God = Dog' Video Premiere; Complete 'I Loved You At Your Darkest' Album Details Revealed

Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH will release their new album, "I Loved You At Your Darkest", on October 5 via Nuclear Blast. While it certainly seems an unlikely title for a black metal band, its origin might surprise fans even more than the words themselves. "It's a verse from the Bible," frontman Nergal reveals. "It's actually a quote from Jesus Christ himself. For BEHEMOTH to use it as the basis of our record, it's sacrilege to the extreme."

As a foretaste for what to expect on the new album, BEHEMOTH has released a video for the first single, "God = Dog", that can be viewed below. The clip was directed by BEHEMOTH's longtime visual collaborators Grupa 13.

Of course, BEHEMOTH is no stranger to blasphemy. Over the course of the last 27 years, they've pushed the boundaries of black metal and heresy alike. While anti-Christian sentiment might seem like stale bread where most metal bands are concerned, for BEHEMOTH such ideas represent a very real threat to their physical freedom. Time and again, the government of their native Poland has charged them with various "crimes" such as tearing up a bible onstage in 2007 and using the Polish coat of arms on a BEHEMOTH t-shirt in 2017. "Obviously, stuff like that can piss you off. But I think it's good to be pissed off," Nergal says with a laugh. "Anger can be a massive driving force, especially when you make extreme music. But politically and socially, Poland is a very disparate country. You can never feel totally safe here. That makes it easier for me to get inspiration. If I lived in Holland or Australia, I don't think I'd be doing what I do now. You can do or be anything you want there. I'm a huge fan of that kind of freedom, but I don't really have it here. Struggling with that on a daily basis makes me who I am, and fuels my passion for this music."

Nergal and his bandmates — Orion (bass) and Inferno (drums) — have channeled that passion into "I Loved You At Your Darkest". A crushing salvo of black metal majesty replete with hellish riffs, thundering drum cannonades and soaring liturgical choirs reminiscent of classic horror cinema, the album is also bejeweled with nimble-fingered rock guitar solos on songs like "God = Dog", "Ecclesia Diabolica Catholica" and "Sabbath Mater".

"I really wanted to redefine ourselves with this record," Nergal explains. "'I Loved You At Your Darkest' is a more dynamic record. It's extreme and radical on one hand, but it's also more rock-oriented than any other BEHEMOTH record."

Nergal doesn't view the heightened rock influence as a conscious creative decision so much as a renewed interest in the historical origins of the music he makes. "We don't give consideration to musical direction, we simply create what naturally comes to us," he says. "But 15 years ago, if you had asked me who I thought was the best band on the planet, I probably would have said MAYHEM or MORBID ANGEL. Today if you asked me, I'd say AC/DC. That should give you a clear indication of why this album is more rock-based. It all comes down to the songwriting."

Lyrically, "I Loved You At Your Darkest" revels in the kind of religious provocation that BEHEMOTH do best. "It's very religion-driven, maybe more than anything we've done before," Nergal offers. "But it's not just cheap goading. I believe this is some deeper metal language. It's art."

Unlike "The Satanist", which was primarily recorded in one studio, "I Loved You At Your Darkest" saw its production spread across Poland and the United States. It was produced by the bandmembers themselves, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, IN FLAMES), mixing by Matt Hyde (SLAYER, CHILDREN OF BODOM) and mastering by Tom Baker (NINE INCH NAILS, MARILYN MANSON). Which is to say nothing of the 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa and engineered by Tomasz Budkiewicz. Or as Nergal sums it up: "Pretty much every instrument was recorded in a different studio, and a lot of amazing people were involved."

Video Premiere: PRIMAL FEAR's 'The Ritual'

"The Ritual", the new video from Germany's PRIMAL FEAR, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's new album, "Apocalypse", which will be released on August 10 via Frontiers Music Srl.

"Apocalypse" will be available in the following formats:

* CD

* CD/DVD

* Box set (includes CD/DVD + T-shirt) [T-shirt size L in EU/UK edition, size XL in N.A. and AU edition]

* LP

* LP blue-colored vinyl (exclusive to Frontiers' EU webstore. Fans can visit www.frontiers.shop to order.)

Pre-order here.

"Apocalypse" is PRIMAL FEAR's 12th studio album and another milestone release in keeping with the consistent growth the band has shown through their career. PRIMAL FEAR, through years of hard work and a steady stream of increasingly powerful albums, have become one of the most beloved and respected heavy metal bands around the globe, a true metal institution. Their last two studio albums, "Delivering The Black" and "Rulebreaker", saw them climbing the charts in several territories and receiving even more critical praise than previous releases. Truly, especially in recent years, the band has continued to raise the bar in terms of quality and musicianship with each release, constantly pushing themselves to find new ways to best themselves.

Production of the record started at the end of 2017 and was wrapped by spring 2018 at Hansen Studios is Denmark with producer Mat Sinner and engineer/mixer Jacob Hansen.

"My personal highlight of recording the album was the fantastic teamwork. Peaceful, focused and really creative," says Mat Sinner. "No big discussion, no heated arguments. Everybody did a fantastic job and the performances were top notch. This was the key to improve every little detail of the songs, from old school to epic, from modern to symphonic, from fast to slow — you will hear it all on 'Apocalypse'."

The guitars on the album are truly outstanding. Each of the three guitar players of the band — Magnus Karlsson, Tom Naumann and Alex Beyrodt — shine in their own respective right. Thanks to the fantastic mix provided by Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, DELAIN, PRETTY MAIDS, AMARANTHE), each player is highlighted.

And finally, what to say about the performance of Ralf Scheepers, one of the truest and most outstanding vocal metal heroes of our times? "Ralf is more motivated and ambitious than ever before," relays Sinner. "The band vibe is extremely peaceful and creative these days and this really elevates Ralf. He had the opportunity to try different things on the songs and even some extreme ideas, which are always welcomed. Ralf sounds good in every pitch from a very deep sonor voice, to a mid-range power vocal to extreme high-pitched screams, so we could fool around with all different scales and scenarios. For example, I think the vocal performance on the song 'Supernova' speaks for itself. The result on 'Apocalypse' is utter satisfaction paired with maximum enthusiasm and we're really happy about the final result — I hope the fans will enjoy the record as much as we do!"

ULTRAPHONIX Feat. GEORGE LYNCH And COREY GLOVER: 'Another Day' Video Released

The official music video for the song "Another Day" from ULTRAPHONIX, the new creation of Corey Glover (LIVING COLOUR) and George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB), alongside the great rhythm section formed by drummer Chris Moore and Pancho Tomaselli on bass, can be seen below. The track is taken from ULTRAPHONIX's debut album, "Original Human Music", which will be released on August 3 via earMUSIC.

"Original Human Music" was co-produced by Bob Daspit (SAMMY HAGAR) and it displays the magic match between Glover's iconic voice and Lynch's unique style on the guitar.

The core and value of ULTRAPHONIX lies in the songwriting and the quality of the songs.

"Original Human Music" is an album where Glover's profound and thoughtful lyrics sound loud — together with the warm and heavy wall of sound created by Lynch. It's all sustained by a rhythm section that can go anywhere musically.

Lynch says: "The album sounds like a fusion of early [RED HOT] CHILI PEPPERS meets KING CRIMSON meets JUDAS PRIEST! It's a super-fun band."

Drawing on (very heavy) rock, funk, and jazz influences, the band paints a picture of a band still believing that social consciousness could be celebrated through great rock songs.

WINDHAND Releases Music Video For 'Grey Garden'

Richmond, Virginia's psychedelic heavyweights WINDHAND have unveiled "Grey Garden", the Jordan Vance-directed video and lead single off their forthcoming album, "Eternal Return".

Due on October 5 via Relapse Records, "Eternal Return" is a complete life-to-death journey. As unplanned things go, it's an observation of as well as a reflection on life's ups and downs, joys and sorrows, beginnings and ends.

Between the band's 2015 "Grief's Infernal Flower" album and "Eternal Return", WINDHAND welcomed new life, survived lineup changes, and mourned unexpected death. The songs and song ordering are the direct result of those experiences. Where "Halcyon" is assured in its opening, the closing track "Feather" is its funeral march.

WINDHAND wrote "Eternal Return" all throughout the winter. Out of the sessions, "Halcyon", "Grey Garden", "Red Cloud" and the monstrous "Eyeshine" emerged as the heaviest tracks, while "Pilgrim's Rest", "Diablerie" and "Feather" embodied the more reflective side of WINDHAND. The juxtaposition of heavy, psychedelic and pensive is less like BLACK SABBATH or SLEEP and more like SOUNDGARDEN or VERUCA SALT. But the name drops aren't absolute so much as signals of WINDHAND's ability to stretch beyond genre confines.

"Eternal Return" represents a new era for the group, a chrysalis moment that takes them to new and unforeseen heights. Boosted by Garrett Morris's consistently cool riffs-forged at the crossroads of Tony Iommi's otherworldly import and Kurt Cobain's spontaneous precocity powered by Ryan Wolfe and Parker Chandler's groove-laden rhythms, and propelled by Dorthia Cottrell's smoky-yet-wistful vocals, WINDHAND's new album is a two-step jump for Richmond's finest purveyors of the psycho-actively heavy. Adorned by Arik Roper's (SLEEP, HIGH ON FIRE) impressive cover art, "Eternal Return" not only looks the part of WINDHAND's artistic growth but sounds the part.

WINDHAND brought Jack Endino back into the fold. Together, they spent two weeks recording at Soundhouse Recording in Seattle. Described as "smooth" and "intense," the sessions with the famed producer were just what WINDHAND wanted. Endino also understood the group's artistic progression, chiefly the admiration of and blending in late '80s/early '90s grunge. Out of it all, WINDHAND continued to refactor and refine their vision of heavy.

"Eternal Return" track listing:

01. Halcyon

02. Grey Garden

03. Pilgrim's Rest

04. First To Die

05. Light Into Dark

06. Red Cloud

07. Eyeshine

08. Diablerie

09. Feather

A LIGHT DIVIDED To Release Choose Your Own Adventure Debut In October

Infectious pop hooks, exhilarating vocals, hair-raising riffs, and unforgettable melodies are only a fraction of what listeners should expect to hear on A Light Divided's upcoming full-length release, Choose Your Own Adventure, releasing to the masses on October 5th. Chock full of catchy, memorable anthems that poise A Light Divided to be the next big pop/metal crossover, Choose Your Own Adventure is an essential listen. Preorders available here.

Get your very first taste of Choose Your Own Adventure with the hooky, high-energy new single and electrifying music video for "Fear of Heights", directed and filmed by Justin Reich of Antimatter Studios.

"As someone who constantly battles with anxiety and self-image concerns, ‘Fear Of Heights’ deals with being afraid to get out of your own way when it comes to relationships," says vocalist Jaycee Clark. "It's scary being vulnerable enough to let someone into your inner crazy because what if they don't like what they find? But for the right person, you realize you have to open up and face those fears or you risk losing everything."

As made evident on "Fear of Heights", A Light Divided's undeniable songwriting prowess is accented by Choose Your Own Adventure's lyrical content. The band explores personal, relevant topics - ranging from relationships to mental health - inspired by their own lives and losses. At the age that important decisions they make now could impact the development of the rest of their lives, all five members of A Light Divided put their own experiences to paper on Choose Your Own Adventure, creating a relatable experience for listeners.

"We underwent a lot of major changes since our last record so, it was really important for Choose Your Own Adventure to reflect all of that growth," says Jaycee. "We constantly pushed ourselves to step further and further outside our comfort zone and ultimately created a record I couldn't be more proud of. Lyrically, Choose Your Own Adventure deals with topics like frustration, mental health, loss, betrayal, relationships, hope and continuing to fight for what you love despite those challenges. I think everyone has had those experiences at some point and I hope these songs can help someone to see the light in those dark times."

Choose Your Own Adventure was produced by Kile Odell (Motionless In White, Cane Hill) and Joshua Landry (Letters From The Fire, Motionless In White).

AEROSMITH's JOE PERRY Releases Music Video For 'Aye, Aye, Aye'

Joe Perry — legendary guitarist, co-founding member, principal songwriter and co-producer of AEROSMITH — has just released the new video for "Aye, Aye, Aye", the first single from his "Sweetzerland Manifesto" album. The clip can be viewed below.

Filmed earlier this year at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, California, the video (and track) features guest vocalist Robin Zander (CHEAP TRICK) along with an all-star band including guitarist Dean DeLeo and bassist Robert DeLeo (STONE TEMPLE PILOTS), Buck Johnson (keyboards/vocals, AEROSMITH) and David Goodstein (drums) The night also featured guest appearances by Slash, Johnny Depp, Gary Cherone (EXTREME, VAN HALEN) who handled vocals for the bulk of the show, with other guest vocalists Terry Reid, David Johansen and Chris Robinson.

"I had just finished writing my autobiography 'Rocks' with David Ritz so we'd been based in L.A.," Joe says about how "Sweetzerland Manifesto" came together. "My friend and future bandmate Johnny [Depp] offered the use of his studio to record my new solo record. Later that week, I went to his studio to talk about the record and the possibly about it being an instrumental CD. Ironically, that night we recorded 'Eve Of Destruction' with Johnny on drums. Even though it was big hit in the sixties, I felt with everything going on in the world today that this song was more than relevant than ever especially since the Atomic Clock had just been moved even closer to midnight."

"'Aye, Aye, Aye' was the only song written from the ground up for this CD," Joe continues. "All the other tracks I had written before the vocalists heard them. Robin had a chorus that he sang to me over the phone and he said, 'This sounds like a riff that could be right up your alley.' When Robin walked into the studio singing 'Aye, Aye, Aye,' I said, 'What is a good key for you?' He said, 'The Aye, Aye, Aye key.' [Laughs] By that night, we had a demo of the song finished. Later I found out it was inspired by my love for my custom Gibson Billie guitar which has my wife's picture on it (painted by John Douglas).

"The only requirement or pressure behind this album was all the songs had to be fun to play live," Perry says. "And after having the chance to perform 'Aye, Aye, Aye' with Robin live, I have to say it hits the mark. Little did I know it would be one of my favorite songs on the CD."

Released earlier this year on Perry's own Roman Records imprint (distributed worldwide by AMPED Distribution), "Sweetzerland Manifesto" marks Joe's sixth solo album and is comprised of 10 new tracks. They were all written or co-written by Joe (many with the album's guest vocalists), except for a cover of "Eve Of Destruction", with Joe on lead vocals and Depp on drums. The album features guest appearances from a long list of Joe's friends, colleagues and rock and roll icons. Highlights include three collaborations with David Johansen, who sings "I Wanna Roll", "Haberdasher Blues" and "I'm Going Crazy", plus as many co-writes with Terry Reid, whose lead vocals light up "I'll Do Happiness" (with Zak Starkey on drums), "Sick & Tired" and "Won't Let Me Go".

THUNDERSTEEL Reveal “Armageddon Age” Single, Video

Old-school heavy metal quartet from Serbia, Thundersteel, has released a brand new single and official video called “Armageddon Age”, first time after their last release The Exorcism from 2015 and are officially presenting their new line-up and have announced something very heavy from their kitchen in the near future.

“‘Armageddon Age’ presents literally everything that was obstructing us to stay active and to write new music over the past three years. Many bad events and issues have occurred and we are very happy to be back, especially with the fresh line up! Our wish is to let people know that we’re still alive and that we’re not gonna stand down for sure! We were lucky to have the guys from MEMO Workshop record our video, they did a fantastic job and there was no better way to say ‘thank you’ to every single person for the continuous support during these last three years.  We’re also heading back to the songwriting process and we’re planning to release new EP in the near future, but more info about that soon. So much effort, so much energy and good spirit was put into everything and it kept the flame burning in us so it’s time to pay back with some good old heavy music!” comments the band.

“Armageddon Age” was recorded and produced by MEMO Workshop team and Aleksandar Madžarević from Novi Sad and the song was recorded, mixed and mastered in Alpha Design studio in Novi Sad, Serbia, by Vladimir Perović. Single was officially released under Grom Tmina Records.

ENTIERRO – Featuring Former FATES WARNING, JASTA Members Release “Cyclonic Winds” Lyric Video

Entierro, a collective from Connecticut joins forces with ex-Fates Warning Guitarist Victor Arduini to begin a new chapter with the release of a lyric video for new song "Cyclonic Winds." The track is taken from the band's forthcoming self-titled debut album (targeted for September release).

The Entierro sound can best be described as focused on heavy drum and bass interplay, twin guitars harmonizing over visceral riffs with dynamic, multi-layered vocals. Founding member Christopher Taylor Beaudette (vocals/bass), who has played with Jasta and Kingdom Of Sorrow, provides a unique blend of captivating melodies mixed with soaring harmonies, as the band seamlessly blends NWOBHM with a bit of Thrash and a touch of Doom into captivating and surprisingly catchy songs. Entierro is a modern classic heavy metal band that is focused on using their past influences to create an intense expression of powerful riffs and handcrafted slabs of undisputed sonic steel that any fan of the genre will appreciate and enjoy.

When asked what led to his joining up with the band in early 2017 Arduini stated:

"They were the one band from my area I was really digging. Their sound was true old school metal that just had some really cool heavy riffs and songwriting. They have elements of doom, bit of thrash and yet it comes across a class metal for the new ages. They took me out of my comfort zone as I had to learn a few new tricks which I've been embracing. I was a fan the first time I heard them. Chris is a great front man and after going to see them play a few shows I learned one of their guitarists was leaving and I was asked if I'd be interested in joining them. The timing was perfect. After finishing the Arduini/Balich album I pretty much needed a break from all that writing/producing I did and this allows me to just be a part of a band again without it all falling on my shoulders. With the great writing skills of the others I can focus on putting my style over what they come up with and occasionally add a riff or two when needed. It helped keep me actively playing and I've just been having a blast playing these songs with such awesome musicians."

Entierro has played extensively throughout the Northeast, surprising fans of all types of heavy genres with their energetic and precise live shows, and have released two EPs since 2014. Entierro is ow set to release their first self-titled debut album, which was recorded at Dexter's Lab in Milford, CT by engineer Nick Bellmore. The band will be performing a series of shows throughout New England in support of their new release.

Tracklisting:

“Cyclonic Winds”
“Dybbuk”
“Turn Out The Lights”
“Cauldron Of War”
“Valley Of Deceit”
“Santa Murete”
“Live To Tell”
“Controlled Burn”
