"The Blood of Gods" is nothing less than a sacred text chronicling the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that is uptight and wrong with the world. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of their great mistake, from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry.

In support of "The Blood Of Gods", GWAR will be on the road throughout the rest of 2017 including three shows in September with a stop at Chicago's Riot Fest. GWAR will then return to the road on October 20, starting in their adopted home base of Richmond, Virginia and running through December 10 in Detroit, Michigan.
I PREVAIL has released a new video for "Lifelines", the title track from the band's debut LP. The clip was shot in Detroit at the Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program, an organization which uses boxing to help at-risk youth with educational tutoring and discipline. Singer Brian Burkheiser told The Pulse Of Radio how the song itself sums up the themes of the album. "It's just those defining moments in your life where the path goes one way and you can't look back, and for better or for worse you're a different person coming out of whatever experience that is," he said. "I think it's just kind of us expressing those emotions through that song on everything that's happened to us. But we try to do it in a relatable way where people who are going through different things, whether it's a divorce or a loss of a loved one or whatever it is, you know, you can hone in on that emotion with that song."
Burkheiser said about the video: "We set out to create something that embodied what 'Lifelines' as a song and as an album really meant to us. It centers around the harsh reality that life doesn't care about what you have planned. The biggest moments, whether ones of amazing opportunity or painful loss, are coming no matter what. How you choose to respond makes you who you are."
I PREVAIL recently announced a massive fall headlining tour. The pro wrestling-themed "Rage On The Stage" trek will begin on September 20 in Oklahoma City and may end up hitting as many as fifty different cities before grinding to a halt on December 2 in Des Moines, Iowa. The latest single from Sheffield-based, punk-fuelled metal outfit, While She Sleeps, has been revealed as the incendiary "Steal The Sun" and a new music video, directed by Ryan Chang, has been released. The track is taken from the new album, You Are We.
The clip incorporates a dark narrative alongside live footage and was filmed across Thailand, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong on the band's recent tour of Asia. Watch below.

Denmark-based progressive melodic metallers, Anubis Gate, will released their seventh album, Covered In Black, via Nightmare Records on September 1st. A video for “The Combat” can be found below.
Says the band: “With six highly acclaimed albums, what can be said about a seventh album? It would be easy to say the following: It is our most mature album. Or how about this: We built on everything that came before it and added new twists and turns. Or this is our most accessible album perhaps. But that wouldn't be quite true. In fact it might even be quite untrue. Except for the part about building on past experiences, since everybody does that.
“What would have been mature was to make an album resembling our previous album, Horizons, going with the beautiful feel-good vibe of that album (though its topics were not all that feel-good). Instead, the writing of this album simply did not go in that direction. While Covered In Black is a highly melodic affair, it is also challenging in a way none of our previous albums are. Dealing with, and dedicated to, people in dark places, this albums has a darker and more complex edge to it. Allowing ourselves to dig deeper into our collective pool of musical experiences and knowledge, the inspirations come from far across the spectrum. Ranging from classical chamber music, seventies prog and extending to thrash, with very eastern influences popping up, this is an album that is best heard as one piece, even if the individual tracks can stand on their own. Since we've come this far we also allowed ourselves that freedom.
“Is it a concept album? No. But it is a theme album. About people in dark places. From psychopaths, assassins to the more modern topics of being at the receiving end of what is bad about social media. Topics of lifelong failure and revenge are touched upon. The ten-song-long album has two suites, both consisting of three songs. One has the songs spread here and there on the album, while the other is connected as one long piece if you wish to listen to it that way. Wonderfully old-fashioned and just the way we like it. And it is, we feel, simply the best album we've ever done.”

JASTA, the solo project of HATEBREED frontman Jamey Jasta, has released the official music video for the song "The Same Flame". The clip was shot by Paul McGuire of Obscenery Films.
"The Same Flame" is taken from JASTA's latest album, "The Lost Chapters", which came out in March.
Jamey states: "I'm really excited to launch the video for the JASTA track 'The Same Flame', directed by my friend Paul McGuire.
"Those who listen to my podcast know I've been talking about doing a project completely DIY style with JASTA for months and this video, along with two others, are the outcome of that. In addition to a nine-song album that was partially fan-funded! Not only did I get to work on every aspect of the recording, packaging and producing the album, but I got to help direct and scout locations. Now we have a cool visual to go along with one of my favorite songs off the JASTA album.
"Since I released the album in the spring, JASTA had a successful tour with ANTHRAX and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE. After that, I got busy touring on Warped with HATEBREED, but I was able to shoot three JASTA videos in three days on a short break. Now I get to hit the road with JASTA in Europe for a short tour and then I'll be back doing a homestate show October 7 with JASTA before HATEBREED hits the road again."

Jamey's debut solo album, "Jasta", sold around 4,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 133 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at position No. 1 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Dear Desolation" was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio in Belleville, New Jersey. Artwork was created by Eliran Kantor (HATEBREED, TESTAMENT, ICED EARTH, SODOM).
"Dear Desolation" marks THY ART IS MURDER's first full-length release since vocalist C.J. McMahon rejoined the band this past January.
McMahon blamed his drug addiction for his departure from the group and has vowed to move forward as "a new man."
Asked what has changed for him since he rejoined THY ART IS MURDER, McMahon told Decibel magazine: "Basically, I'm trying to support myself and my wife as best as I can. I work with my father-in-law as a stone mason… I have my clothing line, and the band's making a little bit of money as well. Financially, I'm working my ass off and I'm literally busting my ass and hustling as much as I can to be able to have somewhat of a normal life. Sydney is extremely expensive to live in and, unfortunately, it wasn't my choice to live here. [I was] born and raised here, I fucking hate it. My family and my life is here. Also, not really big on drugs anymore. I was smoking copious amounts of marijuana every day and I was using a lot of cocaine most days. There was a couple of close calls in the U.S. on tour when I thought I was going to die and I possibly did a couple times. Now I've cleaned my life up and I have a different outlook on things. Trying to manage my anger management a bit better and try to be a little bit more calm in life because it negatively impacts my family and my band."
McMahon also spoke about what fans can expect from "Dear Desolation". He said: "I think you can expect it to be slightly different to a lot of our releases. It's a record that I feel is like a breakthrough record for us where we've really found our sound. It's something that we feel will be able to push us further in our musical careers in the future rather than just having to stem out of being in this genre of deathcore. I really don't care what people pigeonhole us as, but, for some reason, the name 'deathcore' kind of leaves a sour taste in my mouth after saying it. We're showing our strengths and variety. We can kind of move into a more modern metal phase of our lives now where we're not going to be — not that we ever were — this generic deathcore-sounding band. This record will be more appealing to people that are into more of a modern metal, modern death metal sort of element and style of music. I think we've broken down the actual content of the music and instead of having ten or twelve riffs in a song, having the listener try to pick up on a few different riffs, we've broken the structures down so there's less riffs but the riffs are better. The structures are not as complex as older material. It's like taking out all the great things we've always liked about our band and trying to figure out what works for us in the best way and not having to add filler to everything else to make it more technical or more crazy or more interesting. We've kind of broken down the way that our band writes and try to write the best of the best, rather than just writing the craziest, the heaviest, the craziest breakdown, the techiest riff. Instead of doing those things, we just try to take out what works and what we like and incorporate that into having a more modern sound that’s not so deathcore. We're evolving on this record and it'll be interesting to see what the listeners think of it, that's for sure."
"Mr. Jekyll And Hyde", the new video from LYNCH MOB, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's new album, "The Brotherhood", which will be released on Friday, September 8 via Rat Pak Records. The disc was produced by Chris "The Wizard" Collier (FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, PRONG, KXM) and features eleven brand new hard rock tracks.
"The Brotherhood" highlights the unique pairing of Oni Logan and George Lynch, and, along with Sean McNabb (bass) and Jimmy D'Anda (drums), the band has created a solid offering from start to finish. From the heavy guitar riffs of the opening track, "Main Offender", to the melodic album finale, "Miles Away", LYNCH MOB has once again proven it remains on top of its game.
Logan comments: "After doing quite a few miles together with this latest lineup of Sean McNabb and Jimmy D'Anda, we consider ourselves a pack of wolves, and we came up with the name 'The Brotherhood' for the title of the next LYNCH MOB album. It's got more of an adventurous sound in part and maybe a darker, colder sound to it.
"We are always willing to go farther. We come from the early '90s and it's when we released the first LYNCH MOB album which set a sound and course for us. Here we are 27 years later [and] George and I are still able to keep on stretching. As a player, as a writer, that is very important to us. Otherwise, we would be fooling ourselves and fooling you."
Lynch adds: "We wrote this album as a band and the name of the record reflects what the band is about and what all my bands have been about since I've been a kid. This is my second family. These are my brothers. You go through a lot together and have a lot of experiences together. And that then becomes a part of the music."

THE HAXANS, the goth-pop-infused power duo featuring Ash Costello (NEW YEARS DAY) on vocals and Matt Montgomery (ROB ZOMBIE) on vocals and guitar, will release its debut album, "Party Monsters", on Friday, October 13 via Another Century Records.

Montgomery previously said that the "secret ingredient" behind THE HAXANS was "having two people that are on the same wavelength. You're painting with the same colors. We've got the same color palette. We're, like, 'Purple?' 'You mean this purple?' And we go, 'Yeah, that's exactly the purple [we were looking for].'"
Finland’s Grave Pleasures have released a new single, “Be My Hiroshima”, featured on their second album, Motherblood, due for release on September 29th via Century Media Records. A video for the track can be seen below.
Vocalist Mat McNerney explains: “’Be My Hiroshima’ is our love song for the apocalypse. The video is taken from our cover art by Tekla Vály. Hands Of Fate was recorded at Rockfield Studios Monmouth (Black Sabbath, Rush, Queen), produced by Scott Atkins (Cradle of Filth) and mastered by Dave Collins (Metallica, Soundgarden, Linkin Park). The cover art was done by Travis Smith (Avenged Sevenfold, Opeth).

Norway's Leprous will release their fifth studio album, Malina, on August 25th via InsideOut Music. Following a hugely successful European tour as support to label-mates Devin Townsend Project earlier this year, Leprous wrapped up the work on Malina with producer David Castillo at Ghost Ward Studio in Sweden, while mixing duties were once again taken care of by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. The album's artwork was designed by Corey Meyers.

Back in February, true Norwegian Balkan metallers Trollfest released their latest album, Helluva, via NoiseArt Records. Today, the band release a video for the song "Hen Of Hades", taken from the album.
In support of the new record, the band will tour Europe in early 2018 to present the new material to the fans all over Europe.Together with the Finnish folk metal superstars Korpiklaani, their Russian companions in Arkona and Dutch folk metallers Heidevolk, the trolls will hit the stages again. REVOLUTION SAINTS, the band featuring Deen Castronovo (JOURNEY, BAD ENGLISH), Doug Aldrich (THE DEAD DAISIES, WHITESNAKE, DIO), and Jack Blades (NIGHT RANGER, DAMN YANKEES), will release its second album, "Light In The Dark", on October 13 via Frontiers Music Srl.

For "Light In The Dark", REVOLUTION SAINTS once again teamed up with producer/songwriter Alessandro Del Vecchio (HARDLINE, JORN), who was also behind the boards for the band's debut album. Most of "Light In The Dark" was recorded at Del Vecchio's studios in Somma Lombardo, Italy, with additional recording taking place at Blades's studio in Washington, Aldrich's CasaDala studio in Los Angeles, and other countries all over the world while Aldrich was on tour with THE DEAD DAISIES. EXIT EDEN, the all-female four-piece ensemble featuring Amanda Somerville, Clémentine Delauney, Marina La Torraca and Anna Brunner, has released a video for its cover version of the song "Paparazzi", originally recorded by Lady Gaga.
EXIT EDEN unites all attributes ascribed to the new millennium: cosmopolitan, self-confident-independent and ready to do their very own thing. Despite their diversity, the four singers blend together personally as superbly as they do vocally with their very diverse vocal tones and techniques that go from opera style to raspy rock. This constellation created extraordinary and powerful ideas and finally became their unique plan to raise EXIT EDEN's very own edge: to show the world that almost every classic song can be transformed into a solid metal-rock song. As the auspicious frontwoman of several metal bands since the age of 15, her path led her to Europe, where she got to perform with AVANTASIA and to found her up-and-coming band PHANTOM ELITE. Since having studied musical theater in New York, the versatile singer and actress can also be seen internationally in musical productions, including the upcoming German tour of the Broadway hit "Rent". For her, being close to the crowd is what counts — no problem for her and her natural convincing character. Clémentine Delauney: Clémentine was born near Paris 30 years ago. She has been a multi talent since her childhood days — no matter if she was dancing, playing the piano or singing, she enchanted her audience. At the age of 16, she joined her first metal band. She is currently fronting symphonic metal outfit VISIONS OF ATLANTIS and also worked with SERENITY and MELTED SPACE. Another one of her career highlights is her participation on Kai Hansen's (HELLOWEEN, GAMMA RAY) first solo album, released in 2016. Thus, Clémentine has carved her way into being one of the great performers of the scene.
