CHROME DIVISION — the Norwegian five-piece featuring DIMMU BORGIR frontman Shagrath (a.k.a. Stian Thoresen) on guitar — will release its fourth album, "Infernal Rock Eternal", on January 17, 2014 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2011's "3rd Round Knockout" was recorded at Dub Studio in Oslo with Endre Kirkesola. Luna, who was a member of CHROME DIVISION since its inception in 2004, "will work with us from behind the curtains of doom, and contribute on the lyrical side of things in the future," according to the band.

CHROME DIVISION's third album, "3rd Round Knockout", was released in Europe on May 6, 2011 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Marius Strand Studio in Oslo.

CHROME DIVISION in August 2009 parted ways with longtime vocalist Eddie Guz "due to lack of dedication and commitment to the band." His replacement, Athera, originally filled in for Guz at the Winterfire Festival at Hessenhallen in Giessen, Germany on February 21, 2009 after Eddie Guz was unable to make the gig.

The wretched hellions behind Indianapolis black/doom collective COFFINWORM have completed recording their sophomore LP with lauded studio wizard Sanford Parker. The follow-up to their malignant Profound Lore debut, 2010's When All Became None is set for a March 2014 release, and marks the band's second outing for the Canadian provocateurs.

Guitarist Carl Byers comments, “The new album crushes When All Became None into dust. Everyone in the band, as well as Sanford, pushed their limits. No hyperbole necessary, especially when an engineer/producer as distinguished as Sanford says the album is ‘quite possibly the craziest sounding thing I've ever done’. Nuff said.”

Possession Productions have signed a contract to release limited gatefold LP, digipak CD and various merchandise for American death metal band AMON, the band that was born in 1987 and later became DEICIDE.




Possession Productions states: "As many of you know, a few years ago the Hoffman brothers left Deicide and started Amon's rebirth. The result is Liar In Wait, and album that shows the power and darkenss of true underground Florida satanic death metal.

Progressive metal quintet I, OMEGA has been tracking their debut album Transients in Southern California with producer Daniel Castleman, who has done recent albums for AS I LAY DYING, SUICIDE SILENCE, TRIVIUM, and many more.

A sneak peek into the mixing of "Kingdom Come MMXIV" from "Kings Of Metal MMXIV", a newly recorded special version celebrating the 25th anniversary of MANOWAR's classic album "Kings Of Metal", is available below.

The new recordings will feature guitarist Karl Logan's and drummer Donnie Hamzik's contributions, who, after having played these classic hymns many times live, will now have the opportunity to add to their legacy by including their own signature sound and performance. The new album will also feature movie and theater legend Brian Blessed ("Hamlet", "Flash Gordon") narrating "The Warrior's Prayer MMXIV".

The release of "Kings Of Metal MMXIV" is scheduled for spring 2014 and will be followed by an anniversary tour that will see MANOWAR perform the full "Kings Of Metal MMXIV" album along with their other classic metal hymns in a completely new stage production.

For Wagner Reloaded - Live In Leipzig, Apocalyptica created new compositions based on Wagner’s body of work and his life, teaming with award-winning choreographer and dancer Gregor Seyffert to stage a brilliant and magical, cross-genre event featuring a live concert and theatrical production.



“We’ve been asked many times to do this type of project, but this is the first one we got excited about,” explains Apocalyptica's Eicca Toppinen. “The mission was to celebrate Wagner, we took elements of his life and used his original music and rearranged it. It was like writing a score for a movie, I had a list of themes and I had to think about the length of scenes and write the music while envisioning Apocalyptica performing on a massive stage with the symphony, choir and one-hundred dancers.”



Since its inception, the Finnish cello-based heavy rock group Apocalyptica has been mining the classical form and structure creating compositions that are both unpredictable and unforgettable. From the METALLICA covers that turned the music scene on its ear to 2007’s Worlds Collide - which saw the group collaborate with everyone from SLIPKNOT’s Corey Taylor to RAMMSTEIN’s Till Lindemann and LACUNA COIL’s Cristina Scabbia - Apocalyptica have released seven studio albums featuring numerous cello-based instrumentals and vocal-based songs. "Blind", a new song from HELLOWEEN singer Andi Deris and his solo band, BAD BANKERS, can be streamed in the YouTubeclip below.

Deris has returned with his first solo album since 1999. Not so much a solo effort in its original sense, but recorded in a band environment to achieve a real band feeling, "Million Dollar Haircuts On Ten Cent Heads" will be released on November 22 via earMUSIC.

Written and composed by Andi Deris himself, "Million Dollar Haircuts On Ten Cent Heads" has a crispy, modern sound to it. The diverse, high-class production is snotty, dirty and brutally honest and is described in a press release as "a healthy mixture of HELLOWEEN's recent records combined with 'Master Of The Rings' tradition (Andi's first HELLOWEEN album)."

Recorded together with his band BAD BANKERS, "Million Dollar Haircuts On Ten Cent Heads" sees Deris criticizing the economic system and its corruption. Although the topic may seem a bit dull, the heavy guitar riffs and Deris' recognizable voice clearly make a point: "fuck banks, fuck managers, fuck bankers." He explains: "Obviously we despise everything around banks, managers and bankers who are clearly responsible for the shit that goes on nowadays (and most certainly in our future), so it felt very good to vocally tell them what we think about them. Sure, therefore it's highly explicit but hey… who gives a fuck? That's what they deserve... and it helps the music to really kick some ass."

"Breaking My Heart", the new video from Swedish singer ANGELICA, can be seen below. The song comes off her debut album, "Thrive", which will be released on November 29 in Europe and December 3 in North America via Frontiers Records. Best known for being the singer in THE MURDER OF MY SWEET, Angelica Rylin finally decided to pursue her childhood dream and to walk in the footsteps of such amazing singers such as Ann Wilson of HEART, Leigh Matty of ROMEO'S DAUGHTER and Robin Beck and record her debut solo album in a true melodic rock style.

Some melodic rock songwriting luminaries answered the call in order to create the magic harmonies and music displayed on Angelica's debut album. "Harry Hess, Daniel Flores, Robert Sall, Alessandro Del Vecchio and Anders Wigelius all contributed," says Angelica, and some excellent guitarists such as Jesper Strömblad (IN FLAMES), Magnus Karlsson (PRIMAL FEAR), Per Berquist (SMASH INTO PIECES) also appear on the album. There is also a very special performance by keyboardist Matt Guillory (JAMES LABRIE). Still, Angelica wrote or co-wrote several songs on her record, showing another side of her abilities.

"I got the chance to step out of my comfort zone and just focus on being a great singer. I also got to do a couple of amazing co-writes, for instance with Harry Hess of HAREM SCAREM," continues Angelica. "But what I'm most happy about is that I got to include a couple of my own songs too. It's a great mix of classic but modern AOR love songs."

Helped by producer, drummer and songwriting partner Daniel Flores (FIND ME, SEVENTH WONDER, THE MURDER OF MY SWEET), Angelica managed to create a superb album which offers soaring and instantly likeable hook lines, solid guitar riffs and a crisp sound.

"After releasing two albums with THE MURDER OF MY SWEET, I get an opportunity to show my fans a slightly different side of me and at the same time have fun and explore another side of rock music that I grew up with and truly love," says Angelica. Reactivated German metallers MAJESTY will release a new album, "Banners High", on December 20 via NoiseArt Records. The band's first-ever concept CD tells a fantasy story penned by MAJESTY singer Tarek "MS" Maghary.

"Shadowmaker", the new Dirk Weiler-directed video from Southern German gothic metallers CREMATORY, can be seen below. The song, which will be released as a digital single on November 22, comes off the band's new album, "Antiserum", whih will be released on February 25, 2014 (one day earlier internationally) via Steamhammer/SPV.

Says CREMATORY drummer Markus Jüllich: "Even before the whole record was finalized, we knew that 'Shadowmaker' had absolute hit potential. You'd be hard put to announce our new album better than with this song."

On the day of the single launch, a special box set, "Inception", featuring CREMATORY's first ten studio albums in a cardboard sleeve will be made available. It is described in a press release as "an absolute must-have for all fans and collectors."

"Our fans can look forward to 'Antiserum', on which we have gone one step further than we did on our comeback album, 'Revolution', in terms of our electronic influences," says Jüllich. In collaboration with Elmar Schmidt of Hamburg EBM act CENTHRON, we have come up with a haunting mix of metal riffs and EBM keyboards. That's why I'd refer to 'Antiserum''s musical direction as 'EBM metal.'"

In the midst of an extraordinary career as drummer for multiple heavy metal legends such as FIFTH ANGEL, HEIR APPARENT and NIGHTSHADE, Jeffrey McCormack was thrown a curveball. It was suggested that Jeffrey hum some melody lines on demo material he had been working on with Seattle guitarist Craig Church. It was immediately and overwhelmingly decided that Jeffrey would become the lead vocalist for the band, which got named SCREAMS OF ANGELS. Once the material had solidified, they recruited Jeffrey’s longtime friend, Kai Chinn to take over the drum duties, followed shortly after by bassist Anthony Rivera, rhythm guitarist Rollie Fisher, and former HEIR APPARENT bandmate Op Sakiya on keyboards, all veterans of the historic Seattle heavy metal community. Though the band seemed complete, guitarist Craig Church became increasingly busy with his other musical endeavors, including guitar duties with Pamela Moore (Sister Mary from QUEENSRŸCHE's Operation: Mindcrime), so he resigned his post. Enter Alan Nesbitt on lead guitar, and the band was ready to bring its energetic brand of melodic power metal to the masses.
Screams Of Angels debut album Into The Warzone has been scheduled for release on December 27th, via Skol Records. The album is comprised of a collection of high-energy metal anthems such as its title track, a fast paced homage to Marvel comics The Punisher, the galloping epic 'Cycle Of The Moon' and the snarling metal monster 'Eyes Of The Serpent'. Into The Warzone - like all other Skol Records releases - will be distributed in North and South America via Shadow Kingdom Records. Title track is also available as a free single and can be downloaded from this location.
