The movie will have its premiere on November 10 at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland, where the audience will be treated to both a full-scale NIGHTWISH concert and the first-ever public screening of the movie.
Eagerly anticipated around the world, "Imaginaerum" creates a musical fantasy world in the vein of David Lynch, Neil Gaiman, and Cirque du Soleil. The movie is an innovative mixture of story-telling and music, an extraordinary tale of the power of imagination… and what's ultimately important in life.
Shot and post-produced in Canada, the movie was directed by Stobe Harju and produced by Solar Films, and features appearances by all NIGHTWISH members. The screenplay is based on a wild vision that Tuomas Holopainen, the mastermind of the band, devised after the album "Dark Passion Play" came out in 2007.
The official soundtrack of the movie, "Imaginaerum By Nightwish: The Score", will be released on the day before the premiere — Friday, November 9. The album features 13 grandiose, unreleased re-interpretations of "Imaginaerum" tracks by Petri Alanko.
The "Imaginaerum" album was released in the U.S. on January 10 via Roadrunner Records. 9

KAMELOT: Quality Fan-Filmed Video Footage Of Atlanta PerformanceQuality fan-filmed video footage of KAMELOT's September 12 performance at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia as the support act for NIGHTWISH can be seen below.
KAMELOT's new album, "Silverthorn", will be released on October 30 in North America, October 26 in Germany and October 29 in the rest of Europe via Steamhammer/SPV. The CD will mark the band's first release with new singer Tommy Karevik, the 30-year-old Swede who previously fronted SEVENTH WONDER (a group that he is still a member of).
KAMELOT recently filmed a video for the song "Sacrimony (Angel Of Afterlife)", in Belgrade, Serbia with director Ivan Colic, who has previously worked with MOONSPELL, SOILWORK, HAMMERFALL, TYPE O NEGATIVE and SYMPHONY X, among others. The clip, which features guest appearances by Elize Ryd (AMARANTHE) and Alissa White-Gluz (THE AGONIST), is expected to make its online debut in a few weeks. Alissa's cameo was filmed by Von Wong Photography at Studio Newreel in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
In a recent interview with the Kamelot France web site, KAMELOT guitarist Thomas Youngblood stated about "Sacrimony", "We have a lot of strong songs on the album, but this one was the first one that we wanted to play [during this summer's European tour]. Ironically, it was one the last song we wrote the music for. I remember sitting with [KAMELOT keyboardist] Oliver [Palotai] in Stuttgart and I had to leave the next day for Florida. I said, 'Let's make one more song, something fast and uptempo.' That was the genesis for 'Sacrimony'. Later, [new KAMELOT singer] Tommy [Karevik] laid down a killer vocal melody and it was pretty much like on the demo. Later, we invited Elize Ryd [KAMELOT touring backing vocalist] to sing on that song."
The "Silverthorn" LP and limited edition will have one version of the cover artwork, while the standard version of "Silverthorn" will have a different but equally exquisite version. The standard version is presented as an Ecolbook. The limited edition contains the Ecolbook, a bonus CD with nearly 60 minutes of music, a 44-page book and an exclusive poster. The double LP version is a gatefold on colored vinyl and includes the CD.
Tommy first appeared as one of the guest singers on KAMELOT's very successful 2011 Pandemonium World Tour.
KAMELOT will support Finnish/Swedish symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH on a North American tour in September and October. 7

New SOCIETY 1 EP To Be Produced By Former FEAR FACTORY DrummerSOCIETY 1 will enter AM Recording Studios in late November with producer Raymond Herrera (FEAR FACTORY, ARKAEA, 3VOLUTION) and engineer Jeremy Blair (FEAR FACTORY, DEVILDRIVER, ZAKK WYLDE, GUNS N' ROSES) to begin recording a new six-song EP, "Screams Of A Sadist", for a 2013 release. Joining founding SOCIETY 1 member and vocalist Lord Zane in the studio will be guitarist Brian Jackson (SKINLAB), bassist Brett Pirozzi (BILE) and drummer Pete Pace (LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT).
According to a press release, the music will explore the heavier side of the SOCIETY 1 sound but keep a strong influence from their industrial roots.
"This will be the most guitar-driven album we have ever done and really wanted someone to be able to capture the heavy sound and intensity," said Zane. "Raymond and Jeremy have worked on some incredibly heavy albums and we felt they would really be able to bring the production of the SOCIETY 1 sound to another level we previously haven't reached."
After the recording is completed, SOCIETY 1 will film a new video and be looking for tours while playing selected dates.
"We are definitely going to play some one-off shows to get used to the new material live, but the main goal is to get back on tour in 2013," explained Jackson.

WHITESNAKE: First Part Of Q&A With DAVID COVERDALE, DOUG ALDRICHThe third episode of Whitesnake TV, featuring the first part of a question-and-answer session between WHITESNAKE frontman David Coverdale and guitarist Doug Aldrich, can be seen below.
In a recent interview with Albania's Top Channel web site, Coverdale was asked what fans can expect from the band in the near future. "I am always reticent to discuss in detail what we're planning as I still enjoy 'surprises.'"
He continued, "In this day and age, with global technology and overwhelming social media, it is getting harder and harder to keep anything secret until they are ready to be presented. We host a very interactive global web site with Whitesnake.com and I answer people's questions as much as I can without giving too much away."
"We are very, very active this year behind the scenes. Many exciting things in the pipeline. Two projects I can tell you about are related to completing the 'Forevermore' project. An in-concert DVD from last year's tour and also a double live CD featuring different shows. It's shaping up very well indeed and I think a lot of people will enjoy re-living the concert experience they had with us in 2011. We have also started Whitesnake TV, which is off to a fantastic start and seems to be making a lot of people happy."
Asked if WHITESNAKE will tour next year, Coverdale said, "There are plans to start in Europe in May, I heard, but as yet there is nothing concrete. But, of course, we hope to be out there again. We have too much fun with audiences to stay at home for too long!"
Regarding whether all his plans involve WHITESNAKE, or if fans can expect any other collaborations or solo projects, Coverdale said, "WHITESNAKE is my priority and at this time I have no other plans to collaborate with other artists. But, you know rock and roll… Everything can change with a phone call." 2

Danko Jones will release their new album, Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue, on October 9th. It is now available for pre-order via the Amazon widget at the bottom of the page.
The first single from the album, 'Just A Beautiful Day', can now be streamed below. It is available for free download at this location.
Over the course of six full-length albums, Danko Jones has forged a singular sound that draws equally from the blues, ‘60s garage, ‘70s hard rock, ‘80s hardcore, punky power-pop, Scandinavian metal, and classic stand-up comedy records without ever being fully defined by any of those sources. But while built from the same rudiments, each Danko Jones record possesses a distinct sonic identity. Born A Lion (2002) brought the boogie and sledgehammer soul; We Sweat Blood (2003) was, by contrast, more anxious and aggro. Sleep Is the Enemy (2006) wielded the sharpest hooks. Never Too Loud (2008) was as slick as Below the Belt (2010) was stripped-down. But, compared to all that’s come before, Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue is, hands down, the most emotional and, as a result, the most epic Danko Jones album to date.
Now, don’t be scared off by those E-words - there’s not a children’s choir, orchestra or piano ballad to be found within a 500-mile radius of this album. But what you hear on Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue is the Danko Jones ideal blown up to skyscraping proportions, resulting in 13 tracks that are bolder, brasher, and brawnier than anything they’ve attempted before.
The album is produced in full by their longtime partner in crime Matt DeMatteo and was mixed by Mike Fraser, known for his work with AC/DC, AEROSMITH and others. It is also the first album recorded with “new” drummer Atom Willard - the sixth person in Danko Jones history to hold the “drummer” title, but the first to stand on equal creative footing with Danko and his longtime foil, bassist John “JC” Calabrese. The man’s résumé speaks for itself: Not only was Willard the driving percussive force behind Danko’s all-time favorite San Diegan garage-punk armada ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT, he’s also been keeping time for the multi-platinum likes of THE OFFSPRING, SOCIAL DISTORTION and ANGELS & AIRWAVES, so he knows how to drum his way around a massive tune.
The new album follows the June release of Bring On The Mountain – a two disc DVD featuring a 90 minute documentary, a short film, exclusive live clips from around the world and all the music videos they have ever done.

HATEBREED Completes Recording New AlbumConnecticut hardcore/metal masters HATEBREED have finished recording their new full-length album and are ready to begin the mixing process. The CD is being produced by the band with assistance from Josh Wilbur (LAMB OF GOD, AVENGED SEVENFOLD) and Chris "Zeuss" Harris (SUICIDE SILENCE, ALL THAT REMAINS, SHADOWS FALL).
Commented HATEBREED guitarist Wayne Lozinak: "I'm very excited that the album is tracked! It was a great experience working with Zeuss and Josh Wilbur on this one. Every song is heavy, straight and to the point, in keeping with the traditional HATEBREED sound. Can't wait to put some of these songs in the set and start playing them live!"
Added HATEBREED bassist Chris Beattie: "This is the album that HATEBREED fans have been waiting for — catchy, ignorant and full of energy!"
Regarding the musical direction of the new HATEBREED material, vocalist Jamey Jasta told "Maximum Threshold", "We did enough experimenting, I think, on the last record… A lot of people really liked that record and it did gain us a lot of new fans, but on this record, with the 10-year anniversary of [HATEBREED's 2002 album] 'Perseverance' and with Wayne [Lozinak, guitar] being back in the band — this will be his second record with us — it's just fun to kind of keep with the old-school influences. I hear more CRO-MAGS and KILLING TIME and SHEER TERROR and OBITUARY and BOLT THROWER and SLAYER and ENTOMBED and those kind of '80s and '90s influences in there. Which is fun for us, because we emulate the bands that we love. We try to make it our own sound and make it our own style, but at the end of the day, we're just fans of those styles of bands."
HATEBREED kicks off its "10 Years Of Perseverance" tour tonight in Clifton Park, New York with direct support from WHITECHAPEL and special guests ALL SHALL PERISH and DEEZ NUTS. The U.S. headline trek commemorates the 10th anniversary of HATEBREED's groundbreaking 2002 major-label debut, "Perseverance".
After the "Perseverance" tour, HATEBREED will join LAMB OF GOD, IN FLAMES and SYLOSIS on the road this fall from October 30 through November 19.
HATEBREED will headline the Persistence Tour 2013 in Europe in January. 3

SEPULTURA's Performance At Next Year's ROCK IN RIO To Be Filmed For DVD ReleaseBrazilian/American thrashers SEPULTURA have been confirmed for next year's edition of the Rock In Rio festival, set to take place in September 2013. The band will be joined on stage by Les Tambours Du Bronx, featuring sixteen drummers from France.
Founded in 1987, Les Tambours Du Bronx beat 225-liter barrels with beech wood bats or even axe handles. In more than 1000 concerts they've smashed about 16,000 barrels and more than 110,000 broken "drum sticks!"
SEPULTURA's concert at Rock In Rio will be professionally filmed for the band's next DVD, to be released sometime in 2014.
Professionally filmed video footage of SEPULTURA's performance with Les Tambours Du Bronx at this year's edition of the Wacken Open Air festival — shot on August 2 in Wacken, Germany — can be seen below.
Asked about SEPULTURA's plans for the remainder of 2012, the band's guitarist, Andreas Kisser, recently told Metal Hammer, "We're going to Indonesia and Malaysia, we're going to South America still, and we're doing a cruise at the end of the year — Barge To Hell — which will be very interesting. And then we're gonna stop. We're already thinking about new ideas for the next album, so probably next year we're gonna have something new going on. We have also plans to record a DVD with the French percussive group [Les Tambours Du Bronx], [with] which we did a show at [the] Wacken [Open Air] festival [in early August] — old SEPULTURA, new SEPULTURA music with them. And that's the plan — finish the year on a high note."
Regarding what SEPULTURA's new, 21-year-old drummer Eloy Casagrande has added to the band, singer Derrick Green told Metal Hammer, "Definitely the fact that he's young and that energy helps a lot. He's a very disciplined drummer — he's been playing since he was seven. And he's been doing a lot of things by himself and playing with different people, and that's really, really impressive. He had a lot of things put together before we even met him; he's already done so much. And I think with us, a combination us together, it's a great learning process for him to grow and at the same time, we're learning a lot from him, so we can do this together. And this is something extremely important when you're doing a band that's been together for so long, to have this connection. And we felt this connection with him immediately. And we could tell that he was very focused and very committed to doing extremely good music."
Casagrande joined SEPULTURA as the replacement for Jean Dolabella, who left the band because he could no longer handle being away from home for long periods of time.
Dolabella left SEPULTURA after a five-year run of relentless touring and two studio albums. He joined SEPULTURA in 2006 following the departure of the band's original drummer, Igor Cavalera.
SEPULTURA is touring in support of its 12th studio album, and Nuclear Blast Records debut, "Kairos", which hit stores in July 2011. 1

In his most recent blog, which can be read in its entirety at this location, COF frontman Dani Filth stated, "I can truly say that The Manticore and Other Horrors sounds fucking awesome, a real noticeable twist in tone but all the better for it. It's ornate, taut, punk and aggressive but very much the neo-classical whore of yore, spitting raw bloody fury through the maw of the majestic. But I would say that, I've had a firm hand in it's oily whelping!
That's right. Breakneck Gothic Lustmord razor metal with a hint of the willies.
Something that surpasses our previous two albums with nary a blink for forgiveness. Something that has the true pumping blood of Cradle at it's indelible helm. Something truly wicked." 197

As previously reported, "Judgement Day" will also feature a guest appearance by former VIRGIN STEELE guitarist and current BURNING STARR mainman Jack Starr. The guitar solo for the track featuring Jack, which is a tribute to late RIOT guitarist Mark Reale, were recorded at Kenny "Rhino" Earl's (ex-MANOWAR) studio.
DRAGONSCLAW's debut album, "Prophecy", was released in January via Arkeyn Steel Records. The CD features guest appearances by Blaze Bayley (IRON MAIDEN, WOLFSBANE) and Alessandro Del Vecchio (EDGE OF FOREVER, EDEN'S CURSE).
The band's lineup is as follows:
Ben Thomas - Guitar
Giles Lavery - Vocals
Ray Martens - Keyboards
Aaron Thomas - Bass, Orchestration
Alcides "Seed" Stowe - Drums 5
