The Crown played their last show of 2019 on August 9th at Party San Metal Open Air in Schlotheim, Germany. However, that does not mean it's time for a vacation; quite the opposite actually, as rhythm guitarist Marko Tervonen explains to Ambross Mag in the video interview below. An excerpt, transcribed by BraveWords, reads as follows: 

"We will start focusing on the new stuff right away because we are in a pretty luxury position; we have about 30 new songs. So, we just need to figure out what we're going to do with it. Should we rehearse all 30 and pick out the best ten, or should we release 30 songs? There's a lot of thought. But step number one is to get into the rehearsal room and start really playing the songs, and get a feel for it."

"There was a period after the Cobra release, because it was a very positive experience; it gave us a lot of energy. Magnus (Olsfelt, bassist) wrote 20 songs, I wrote five songs, Robin (Sörqvist, lead guitarist) has a few songs. There's a lot of material now that came from a very inspiring period. I'm looking forward to start rehearsing it, and topping Cobra Speed Venom. Of course we need to do it."

The Crown has also issued the following statement:

"We would like to thank all of you that came and supported us during the Cobra touring cycle. The album has been received with open arms by all of you and the shows has been amazing. So thank you all a million times. We will start working with new songs in a couple of weeks and we will try to make the best possible album ever. We celebrate 30 years next year but we are still very hungry and we still love to play extreme music so see you all next year for the next chapter of The Crown. It will be a blast celebrating with all of you. Cheers!!"

Chrome Division, led by Dimmu Borgir's Shagrath, has issued the following statement:

"Dear Chrome fans, bookers and promoters. We are sad, and terrible sorry to inform that due to some unforeseen circumstances we have to cancel our upcoming tour. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We promise, we will be back!"

Chrome Division had previously announced a 13-date European tour scheduled for this September, featuring shows in Sweden, Germany, France, Spain, and Switzerland. These shows will not be happening now. Presumably, ticket refunds will be available at point of purchase.

In November 2018, Chrome Division released their fifth and final studio album, One Last Ride, which celebrates the band's fifteenth anniversary with heavy riffs, catchy melodies and roaring engines.

Philadelphia based industrial band Pagan have set up shop in a former medical facility they are converting into a recording studio. The first track to come from the new home base is a remix of fan favorite "Bitter featuring a guest solo by Guns N' Roses guitarist Richard Fortus. While it retains the melody and atmosphere of the original, this new incarnation of "Bitter" is noticeably heavier.

Pagan's lead guitarist Christian Menses is gearing up to hit the road with Psychotica who have three East Coast dates lined up in September. Pagan are currently lining up a series of dates for the Winter while putting the finishing touches on their second tour video. Vacation 2: Winter Break is the follow up to last year's Our Summer Vacation which reached number one on the Amazon music video charts.

Craft Recordings announce a vinyl reissue of When Love Met Destruction, the second EP from Motionless In White. Due out September 20, this reissue will mark the first availability of the fan-favorite on vinyl. The six-song EP, originally released in 2009, includes the band’s provocative first single, “Ghost In The Mirror”.

Originally from Scranton, PA, Motionless In White formed in 2005 when the band members were still in high school. Influenced by the likes of Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, Slipknot and Rob Zombie, the young group soon gained a following for their moody blend of driving metal, goth, and industrial music, as well as their striking aesthetic. Following the release of their 2007 debut EP, The Whorror, and a successful run on the Warped Tour, the band went back into the studio to work on new material.

When Love Met Destruction was initially recorded as an 11-track full-length album, with a very limited release of 1,000 copies. In 2008, the band signed with Fearless Records and re-recorded six of their strongest songs, reissuing When Love Met Destruction as an EP early the following year. Several of the other tracks off the original full-length would eventually evolve into songs on the band’s debut album, 2010’s Creatures (“Bananamontana” would become “City Lights,” for example, while the chorus of the title track, “When Love Met Destruction,” would become the chorus of “Creatures”).

Bavarian symphonic metal band, Nevaria, has inked a deal with Dr. Music Records for the release of their debut album Finally Free. The album, with its eleven varied and intensively composed songs, will be released digitally and on CD worldwide on October 25.

The five musicians celebrate a sound full of untamed metal guitar work in combination with dynamic drumming, a perceptibly powerful bass and graceful keyboard melodies over which the vocals of former Dawn Of Destiny singer Tanja Schneider literally floats. The first single “Life” will be released along with a breathtaking lyric video on October 1. Until then, check out the the a teaser for a first impression of Nevaria's musical visions including the right mix of of heavy metal and fine melodies, below.

Finally Free was recorded by the band consisting of vocalist Tanja Schneider, keyboard player Markus Spiethaler, guitarist Kim Wölfel, bassist Kevin Deese and drummer Alexander Dahlen in the Soundwerkstatt Studios of their keyboarder and was mixed and mastered by André Hofmann (Nothgard, Wolfchant, New Hate Rising) in the Hofmann Studios. The five musicians were able to gain Jan Yrlund of Darkgrove Design, who has already worked with such illustrious bands such as Battle Beast, Apocalyptica, Delain and Imperia.

The lyrics of Finally Free deal with death and loneliness, abuse, social interaction, illness, love and longing, each from the perspective of the person affected. The message of the texts should be ‘magical’ for the listener and have the intention that the listener can associate them with himself and his own stories.

According to Official Charts, SLIPKNOT's latest album, "We Are Not Your Kind", has beceme the band's first No. 1 in the United Kingdom in 18 years. The group's breakthrough LP "Iowa" was previously its only U.K. No. 1, topping the charts in September 2001.

"We Are Not Your Kind" claimed the top spot with over 31,800 chart sales, made up of 25,500 physical sales, 5,000 downloads and 4,300 streaming equivalent album sales.

Only four other heavy metal albums have reached No. 1 on the U.K. chart this decade: IRON MAIDEN's "The Book Of Souls" (September 2015), AVENGED SEVENFOLD's "Hail To The King" (September 2013), BLACK SABBATH's "13" (June 2013) and IRON MAIDEN's "The Final Frontier" (August 2010).

"We Are Not Your Kind" is SLIPKNOT's fifth consecutive Top 5 album in the U.K.

The disc arrived on August 9 via Roadrunner Records.

"We Are Not Your Kind" was once again recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Greg Fidelman, who engineered and mixed SLIPKNOT's 2004 album "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)" and helmed 2014's ".5: The Gray Chapter".

Singer Corey Taylor recently that "We Are Not Your Kind" features the "darkest" lyrics he has written "in a long time." He told iHeartRadio Canada about the LP: "It's heavy, it's experimental, it's melodic as hell. Lyrically, it's the darkest that I've gone in a long time. I went through a really dark period, and it fueled all of my lyrics for this album, all of my emotions for this album. The shirking the chains of that depression, negativity, trying to get rid of that. And the vibe is so dark. People aren't gonna… they're not gonna know what to expect with it. It's pretty crazy."

Earlier this year, Taylor told the Des Moines Register that some of "We Are Not Your Kind" was written while he was forced to "figure out who I was" following his recent divorce, without relapsing into substance abuse.

"All I was doing was giving and I found myself absolutely, completely tapped," he said. "You could see it in my skin. You could see it in my eyes. That's basically the journey I'm going to take people on this album … show them what happens to depression when you have no chemicals to fall back on."

In a separate interview with BBC Radio 1's "Rock Show With Daniel P. Carter", Taylor said that SLIPKNOT's new album is "probably the furthest we've pushed the boundaries of creativity and experimentation, while also not losing our identity.

"There are bands out there who, they go for all of that experimentation and they forget who they are — they forget that there's an audience that wants to hear a certain type... It doesn't have to be the exact thing, but there has to be a certain emotion that they are looking for, that they wanna hear... There has to be that touchstone. You can go as far out as you want, but you have to be able to pull them back to that feeling that made them fans in the first place. And I really think we did that with this album. We not only went places that we've hinted at, musically, over the years, but never really went full-bore, but we're also doing heavier things than we've ever done."

MINISTRY frontman Al Jourgensen, L.A. GUNS guitarist Tracii Guns and BILLY IDOL axeman Steve Stevens are among the guest musicians who appear on "Open Your Eyes", the new album from David Hasselhoff.

Earlier in the year, Hasselhoff told the German news agency Deutsche Presse-Agentur that he was recording "a couple of heavy metal songs" for his new studio album. He said: "Why not? Because I can. Because I want to."

Last fall, Jourgensen revealed that he teamed up with DJ Swamp to remix Hasselhoff's cover of "Sweet Caroline". "It was the most surreal project I've ever been involved with," Jourgensen told Billboard. "I didn't even have to take acid, and I felt like I was trippin' balls. David Hasselhoff has a new album coming out, some originals and some covers, and for whatever reason — and this is the part that still perplexes me since I haven't met David Hasselhoff yet — he decided I would be the perfect person to mix this. [Laughs] So it's, like, 'I'm game! I'll take the challenge. This could be cool.' And sure enough, man, as soon as I heard it, I felt like I was on some of Timothy Leary's best MDMA I've ever been on."

Hasselhoff has a successful singing career in Germany and neighboring Austria, where, in 1985, his debut album, "Night Rocker", unexpectedly shot to No. 1 on the local chart. His second and third albums, "Lovin' Feelings" and "Looking For Freedom", eventually topped out at No. 5 on the album chart in West Germany, as well as being immensely popular in East Germany. The single "Looking For Freedom" was a hit, reaching No. 1 on the German chart, and was seen by many Germans on both sides of the Iron Curtain as a makeshift pro-unity song, according to The Post.

Even though Hasselhoff is of German descent — there's a village named Hasselhof outside Frankfurt — it wasn't his ethnic connection that resonated. "I think Germans rather like the American-ness about him," Hanna Pilarczyk, a culture writer for Der Spiegel, told The Hollywood Reporter. "Also, his music is very simple and it's something to clap along to. Germans like to clap along to very straightforward rhythms."

Back in 2014, Hasselhoff was invited to perform at the Austrian hard rock and heavy metal festival Nova Rock, where he appeared after IRON MAIDEN. He told Kurier.at at the time that he was a heavy metal fan. "I like IRON MAIDEN and METALLICA," he said. "That's the kind of music I like to hear."

HIGHLY SUSPECT has announced its third album, "MCID", with two new singles, "16" and "Upper Drugs". The project is an adventurous new chapter for HIGHLY SUSPECT and spans across rock, hip-hop and pop, and includes features from Young Thug, Tee Grizzley, GOJIRA and NOTHING BUT THIEVES.


"MCID" is based on inconceivable true-life experiences (and perceptions) narrated by frontman Johnny Stevens. In his own words: "The themes include self-loathing, substance abuse, image issues, addressing my past and changing my future, with a sprinkle of anti-Trump, false social media worship, heartbreak, hope, depression and suicide. There are also a few references to the pressures of fame and how I won't play into it.”

The lead single, "16", is about a first love and a moment of instant heartbreak. The lyrics describe the true story of Johnny Stevens falling in love at 16 years old, fostering a relationship for seven years, and feeling elated when she told him she was pregnant with their baby. The song describes his instant devastation the moment of the birth when he found out that the baby wasn't his; the baby was a different race. Though a wild story, the lyrics capture the gut-wrenching feeling of first love lost, betrayal and regret.


"MCID". This is the slogan tattooed on bodies across the world, four letters that hold so much meaning, a mystery to anyone who is not in the know. HIGHLY SUSPECT members Johnny Stevens and twins Rich and Ryan Meyer had not only been playing music for eight years before topping radio charts, garnering Grammy nominations, and selling out tours — but they also had been gradually accruing a cast of comrades that orbited their star, friends and chosen family that would travel the world with them, move cross country with them, and become pet parents with them. The growing community of companions have a name, and it is "MCID".

Originally from Cape Cod, the three bandmembers played covers in dive bars and moved to a studio apartment in Brooklyn together. In 2015, they gained national recognition after the release of their debut album, "Mister Asylum", on 300 Entertainment and their singles "Lydia" and "Bloodfeather" topped the rock radio charts. The next year they performed at the Grammy ceremony, receiving two nominations for "Best Rock Album" and "Best Rock Song". In 2017 the band traveled to Bogota, Colombia to record their second album, "The Boy Who Died Wolf". It was released in November 2016 and the success of hits "Little One" and "My Name Is Human" earned the band a third Grammy nomination for "Best Rock Song."

And now the band is ready to release album three, a manifesto full of lead Johnny Stevens's private confessions, packed to the brim with themes of self loathing, body image issues, substance abuse, addressing his complicated past and trying to change his future. It's not surprising that his most vulnerable collection of songs is addressed directly to his chosen family, his followers, and his comrades — the title of the album is "MCID".

"MCID" is packed with surprise major hip-hop features, a collaboration with the metal band GOJIRA, some Swahili verses, and a lead single, "16", that is completely guitar free. Other standout songs are his collaboration with Young Thug on "Tokyo Ghoul", and "Canals", which captures his frustration with the Trump presidency, saying that his rage feels like "someone took a crack pipe, lit it with a torch light, and threw it on a gas line — there is fire everywhere."

"MCID" is not just the third full length project from three guys who approach the rock genre with a hip hop ethos, but it's a family meeting and an apology from singer Johnny Stevens whose lyrics demand accountability from himself and urge him to be more honest and to conquer the demons that made him who he is.

The official music video for the song "Love Gets Us All" from HEAVY AS TEXAS, the aggressive metal project featuring acclaimed guitarist Marzi Montazeri and vocalist Kyle Thomas — otherwise recognized as members of Louisiana-based metal pioneers EXHORDER — can be seen below. The track is taken from HEAVY AS TEXAS's self-titled album, which was released on April 19 via Crunchy Western Records.

For the album, HEAVY AS TEXAS tapped renowned drummer Anup Sastry (Marty Friedman, Jeff Loomis, SKYHARBOR) and notable engineer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Collier (KORN, PRONG, WINDS OF PLAGUE) on bass. Currently, the Houston, Texas-based band's lineup is rounded out by full-time members Mike Haaga (formerly of DEAD HORSE) on bass, and James Goetz on drums.


The HEAVY AS TEXAS album was produced by Montazeri, with mix and mastering duties by Collier.


Montazeri says: "I started this project simply because I wanted to perform new music but wasn't able to sing and play complex rhythms at the same time. So I thought, I'll stick to my strengths — the guitar and writing songs! I brought in a vocalist that would fit it perfectly — the one and only Kyle Thomas! As soon as Kyle joined, everything musically fell into place."


Heavy metal fans may also recognize Montazeri for his contributions to various projects featuring Philip Anselmo throughout the years, as well as his performances with the annual "Randy Rhoads Remembered" events at NAMM. Vocalist Kyle Thomas is also recognized for his time with TROUBLE and ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY.

The first trailer for "Shaped By Fire", the seventh album from California metallers AS I LAY DYING, can be seen below. Due on September 20 via Nuclear Blast Records, the disc was produced by the band and was mixed by Joseph McQueen at Sparrow Sound in Los Angeles, California, while mastering was completed by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in Nashville, Tennessee. The only exception was for the track "My Own Grave", which was produced by AS I LAY DYING, co-produced by Drew Fulk and mixed by Adam "Nolly" Getgood. The artwork was created by Corey Meyers.

Guitarist Nick Hipa comments, "The song is a really good balance between the old elements of AS I LAY DYING that people know which is melodic riffing and energetic intensity combined with a little bit more groove, lower tuning, a little heavier and that's all tied together with a strong chorus and message."

AS I LAY DYING's upcoming disc will be the band's first since singer Tim Lambesis was sentenced to six years in jail after pleading guilty to paying a San Diego police officer posing as a hitman $1,000 to kill his wife. Approximately two and a half years later — in December 2016 — he was discharged from a California detention facility and was transferred to the Division of Adult Parole Operations.

In June 2018, AS I LAY DYING played its first show with Lambesis in five years and released a new single, "My Own Grave". Lambesis also owned up to his crimes in a long apology on the band's Facebook page after his release.

November saw AS I LAY DYING complete its first U.S. tour in five years and the band followed it up with a European run of shows. Another single, "Redefined", arrived in April.

The return of AS I LAY DYING raised some questions, particularly since Hipa categorically denounced the band's disgraced frontman as a "sociopathic narcissist in definite need of rehabilitation" in a social-media post back in 2014.

AS I LAY DYING will embark on the "Shaped By Fire" U.S. headlining tour in the fall. Support on the trek will come from AFTER THE BURIAL and EMMURE.

Tom Gabriel Fischer has slammed METALLICA for performing a cover version of CELTIC FROST's "The Usurper", saying the San Francisco heavy metal giants "butchered it, and it was humiliating."

Robert Trujillo and Kirk Hammett played "The Usurper" during METALLICA's May 10 concert at Letzigrund Stadion in Zurich, Switzerland. They also previously paid tribute to late CELTIC FROST bassist Martin Eric Ain during METALLICA's April 11, 2018 concert at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. They performed the Swiss extreme metal pioneers' classic song "Procreation Of The Wicked", featured on 1984's "Morbid Tales" album.

"The Usurper" and "Procreation Of The Wicked" were both part of the fun and unusual feature METALLICA added to its shows on the band's recent tours: at each stop, Hammett and Trujillo have been covering songs from some of their musical heroes — often choosing songs that are far removed from the band's traditional metal sound. The "doodles," as the band refers to them in their setlists, have been showing up right before Trujillo's solo on "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth". The songs are pared-down interpretations — just bass and guitar and sometimes Trujillo singing in front of music stands.

In a brand new interview with Rolling Stone, Fischer stated about METALLICA's versions of his songs: "They butchered it, and it was humiliating. Why don't they leave their millionaire fingers off it? They've long lost the ability to play true metal in my opinion. Maybe I should go onstage and do a really miserable version of [METALLICA's] 'Hit The Lights' with, like, 200 mistakes to set the balance."

Fischer saved most of his ire for James Hetfield and the METALLICA frontman's interest in hunting. "This is completely personal, and I know probably the majority of your readers will not share this feeling, but even if they had done a fantastic job, I could puke all over it because I don't support people who go hunting bears for a hobby," Tom said. "I cannot respect a person like that, even if it's a genius musician."

CELTIC FROST reformed in 2001 and released its comeback album "Monotheist" via Century Media/Prowling Death in 2006. The band broke up in 2008, with Fischer going on to form TRIPTYKON.

TMZ has posted video footage of Rob Zombie apparently reacting angrily to a female fan who reached across a barricade and grabbed his shirt in the middle of his show in London, Ontario, Canada.

In the video, which was filmed Wednesday night at the Budweiser Gardens, you see Rob singing and walking down an aisle in the middle of the packed crowd when the overzealous fan reaches her hand over the barricade and tugs at his shirt. Rob flies into a rage, yanking on her hair before pushing her back.

Rob is wrapping up the current leg of his "Twins Of Evil" tour with Marilyn Manson and PALAYE ROYALE. The live show is filled with spectacle.

"I grew up loving the recording artists who invented rock showmanship," Zombie told The Gazette. "I grew up on Alice Cooper and KISS, and I loved what they did live when I was a kid just as much as I love their songs. That was a big influence on me."

Rob went on to say that "rock has always been about both" style and substance. "It wouldn't have been the same if Jimi Hendrix was fat and bald. There has always been a visual side of rock, and it connects with me, since film is obviously visual. But you also need solid songs. It can't just be about a look."

WHITESNAKE scored the band's third consecutive platinum record with its eighth studio album, "Slip Of The Tongue". Originally released in November 1989, it peaked at No. 10 on the U.K. and U.S. album charts thanks largely to its two Top 40 hits — "Fool For Your Loving" and "The Deeper The Love". The fan favorite turns 30 this year and Rhino is celebrating with several new versions, including a colossal seven-disc boxed set.

"Slip Of The Tongue: 30th Anniversary Edition" will be available on October 4 for $74.98. The 6CD/DVD collection includes a newly remastered version of the album, plus unreleased studio recordings, audio and video of the band's performance at the 1990 Monsters Of Rock festival, and a new interview with WHITESNAKE founder and lead singer David Coverdale. It comes in a 60-page hardbound book filled with rare memorabilia from the era. For a limited time, Rhino.com will offer the Super Deluxe edition paired with a lithograph signed by David Coverdale for $84.98.

Other versions of "Slip Of The Tongue" will also be available the same day, including double-CD Deluxe Edition, which includes the newly remastered album expanded with a selection of rare and unreleased bonus tracks ($24.98) and a double-LP Deluxe Edition, which features the newly remastered album along with a selection of unique bonus tracks ($31.98). A single-disc version ($9.98) includes the newly remastered album, along with single B-Sides plus alternate recordings. The music will be available digitally as well.

Following the 8x platinum success of its eponymous album in 1987, WHITESNAKE returned two years later with "Slip Of The Tongue". At the time, the band included Coverdale, bassist Rudy Sarzo, drummer Tommy Aldridge, and guitarists Adrian Vandenberg and Steve Vai. Vandenberg and Coverdale co-wrote all but one song on the album, but Vandenberg couldn't record them in the studio at the time due to a hand injury. To fill the void, Vai joined the band for the album and tour.

"Slip Of The Tongue: 30th Anniversary Edition" features unreleased versions of every album track, as well as monitor mixes for the album recorded in 1989. In addition, the collection includes nearly two dozen previously unreleased tracks taken from the session tapes that highlight working versions of album tracks and more. The set also includes the CD debut of "Slip Of The Tongue: The Wagging Tongue Edition". Released exclusively on vinyl in 1989, it features Coverdale being interviewed about each track followed by the song.

"Slip Of The Tongue: 30th Anniversary Edition" finishes big with WHITESNAKE's 1990 headlining performance at the Monsters Of Rock festival at Castle Donington on CD and DVD. The DVD also includes three music videos, all of which have been carefully restored and remixed in 5.1 Surround Sound for the first time ever. A new promo video for the track "Sweet Lady Luck", made exclusively for this set, a behind the scenes look at the making of the album, plus a newly recorded interview with Coverdale and Vandenberg rounds out the DVD.

Philip H. Anselmo's EN MINOR made its live debut Wednesday night (August 14) at One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans, Louisiana. The concert served as the release party for EN MINOR's debut seven-inch, which was released on August 2 via Housecore Records.

A project inadvertently in the making since Anselmo's earliest days as a child in the French Quarter, EN MINOR features Stephen Taylor (SUPERJOINT, PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS, WOVEN HAND, 16 HORSE POWER), Kevin Bond (SUPERJOINT, CHRIST INVERSION, ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER), Jimmy Bower (EYEHATEGOD, DOWN, SUPERJOINT), Calvin and Joiner Dover (THE DOVER BROTHERS), and Steve Bernal (former first cellist in the TEMPLE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA). An experimental and eclectic musical endeavor that finds Anselmo exploring a softer, graver vocal style, EN MINOR is an honest and deliberate change of pace delivering brooding tales of pain, regret, and sorrow.

EN MINOR's single serves as the precursor to the band's full-length debut, set for release later this year.

EN MINOR will also perform at this year's edition of Psycho Las Vegas, set to take place August 16-18 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.


"The initial strains — in the most primitive sense — came about when I was given my first guitar at nine-years old," relays Anselmo of the EN MINOR project. "I didn't have the patience to learn other people's music, so I wrote my own. And some of those early parts are still prevalent in the songs we're working with now. Fast forward to 1988 when I bought my first four-track recorder; those old songs took on a new life and newer songs were written. Heavy metal was at the forefront of my performance-based output, but these little four-track songs were always there. I always had an apprehension about allowing them to be heard though, because they were so different; only a small circle of close friends got to hear them."


By 1993, Anselmo moved back to his hometown of New Orleans and his home became an instant magnet for local musicians and artists. "At ungodly hours, these old four-track songs took on an even newer life jamming with these cats," he says. "We learned a few of the songs and wrote several more, and soon we were recording under the moniker BODY & BLOOD. We wrote more songs, all recorded on a newer model four-track. It was fun. We did it for the vibe. And it was pleasing to break away from multi-tracking studios and heavy metal. Metal music consumed most of our time and lives. Those 'B&B' sessions were damned-near therapeutic."


Without a clear plan for the band, the project remained a periodic therapy session. "We kept things simple and just jammed when everyone was home and played our recordings for friends," he says. "Then I eventually moved again, Hurricane Katrina hit, and life sent all of us in different directions."


In 2012, Anselmo met Stephen "Schteve" Taylor and EN MINOR truly took shape. "He and I began experimenting with some vibey stuff, and soon after began recording the sessions," Anselmo says. "This led to the current incarnation of EN MINOR. Together, we re-worked a few of the old four-track songs and wrote several new ones in short order. These sessions are hypnotic and pulling. And we continue to write songs suitable for this project to this day. Ugly and beautiful, EN MINOR, isn't 'party music.' This is 'kill the party music.'"

"Dawn Of Lucifer", the new video from Swedish metallers TRANSPORT LEAGUE, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's eighth album, "A Million Volt Scream", which will be released on August 30 via Mighty Music.

Formed in 1994, TRANSPORT LEAGUE soon made its mark on the scene with its debut album, "Stallion Showcase". Two and a half decades and half a dozen albums later, the collective is back with a new record, "A Million Volt Scream", which was produced at Oral Majority Recordings and at the Top Floor studios under the direction of Roberto Laghi (IN FLAMES, ENTOMBED A.D., RAISED FIST, SONIC SYNDICATE, MUSTASCH, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR), who also mixed the album.

"Of course there's boogie again, but also doom and hardcore, fast songs and hard riffs," vocalist/guitarist Tony Jelencovich says of the new disc. "Our sound may have changed a few times, but not the band's raw power and our penchant for strong grooves.

"'A Million Volt Scream' is a return to our TRANSPORT LEAGUE roots and mixes them with influences that had already surfaced on our two previous releases, 'Boogie From Hell' and 'Twist And Shout At The Devil'."

The three longstanding members — Jelencovich, Peter Hunyadi (guitar) and Mattias Starander (drums) — recorded the album together with bassist Dennis Österdal.

Japanese pop metal act BABYMETAL has released a "live" music video for the English version of its song "Elevator Girl". The track is taken from the band's third album, "Metal Galaxy", which will be released on October 11 via earMUSIC/Edel. The follow-up to 2016's "Metal Resistance" is based on the concept of "The Odyssey Of Metal Galaxy".


"Metal Galaxy" contains 14 songs, including include the four singles that have been released over the course of the last few months: "Pa Pa Ya!!", "Starlight", "Distortion" and "Elevator Girl". The album expresses light and darkness, emotions like duality and ambivalence, and "new metal" created by various chemical reactions as other entities evolved and expanded in this album.


Just like the sun and the moon changes the appearance of this world with its daylight and moonlight, with evermore new type of various sound, BABYMETAL's music paints the metal galaxy in different colors.


The album includes five songs that feature guest appearances from worldwide musicians who were perfect to the character of each song.

"Metal Resistance" debuted at No. 15 on the official U.K. chart, the highest rank for a Japanese artist in recorded history. The album was very well-received in all other territories as well, including another record-breaking position for a Japanese artist in the U.S. with a No. 39 position on the Billboard chart.

Last fall, BABYMETAL digitally released a new song called "Starlight". It marked the rebirth of the band in which Su-Metal and Moametal form the core.

BABYMETAL spent all of 2018 touring without Yuimetal, who was formerly one of the members of the group's core trio. She later exited the band, explaining in a statement that she would go on to pursue a solo career as Mizuno Yu.

Over the last few years, BABYMETAL has established itself as the most globally successful J-pop group of the past decade.

The band describes itself as kawaii metal, kawaii meaning "cute" in Japanese.

BABYMETAL will embark on a fall 2019 U.S. headlining tour in support of its upcoming album. The band's first-ever full-scale headlining U.S. tour will kick off on September 4 in Orlando, Florida, and run through an October 16 in Seattle, Washington. The trek includes the previously announced October 11 gig at The Forum in Los Angeles, which will mark BABYMETAL's first headlining arena show in the States.

Support on the BABYMETAL tour through the October 4 show in San Francisco will come from the Swedish metal band AVATAR. The last two dates will feature THE H as opening act.

The official visualizer for the song "Bring Your Own Blood" from horror-punk stalwart Wednesday 13 can be seen below. The track is taken from his new album, "Necrophaze", which will be released on September 27 via Nuclear Blast Records.


Commenting on the new song, Wednesday 13 says: "'BYOB' is one of my favorites off the new album. It's what I like to call the 'party scene' in this audio-horror movie that is 'Necrophaze'. Like in a lot of my favorite '80s horror films, there was a party scene, and usually a rock 'n' roll track to back it up...this is that track. This is the fun song on the album before everything gets dark and weird."


Heavily influenced by the real-life night terror occurrences of Wednesday himself, historical serial killers, and a slew of '80s horror films, the ideas behind "Necrophaze" are bizarrely familiar, frightening, and a hell of a lot of fun. Being a collector of both media and toys, WEDNESDAY 13 was inspired by a craving for variety to create dual album artwork for this release (seen below). The covers showcase either end of the horror spectrum with a "Creepshow" comic book vibe for the LP artwork, and the eeriness of something akin to John Carpenter's "The Fog" adorning the CD.


"Necrophaze" was recorded by Michael Spreitzer, who is the producer, recording engineer and longtime guitarist of DEVILDRIVER, and is the first WEDNESDAY 13 record to feature guest spots, which include performances by Alice Cooper, Roy Mayorga of STONE SOUR (who provides an eerie, authentic, '80s-inspired synth soundtrack-score to the album), Alexi Laiho of CHILDREN OF BODOM, and Cristina Scabbia of LACUNA COIL. Also making an appearance on the album is Jeff Clayton, member of legendary punk bands ANTISEEN and GG Allin's MURDER JUNKIES.


"To say we are excited about this release would be an understatement," Wednesday adds. "We have re-built and Frakensteined an all new WEDNESDAY 13. The Sabaton History Channel has released Episode 028 - "White Death" - Finnish Sniper Simo Häyhä.

A message states: "One of the deadliest snipers ever to roam the face of the earth was Simo Häyhä, who fought on the Finnish side during the Winter War in 1939 and 1940. He was also known as White Death, as he killed an estimated 500 Russians in the cold snowy winter."

STARSET's third album, "Divisions", provides the soundtrack to the next chapter of their overarching narrative — one of a dystopian future world divided by the technology that has taken over in a war for human consciousness — those obeying and implementing it, and those fighting against it. Australian brutal death metal behemoths, Disentomb, have released a guitar and bass playthrough video for the track “Indecipherable Sermons Of Gloom”, off of the group's monstrous new album, The Decaying Light. Watch below:

The Decaying Light is the follow up to Disentomb's 2014 album Misery, and contains 13 slabs of uniquely obliterating extreme metal. The album shows the band truly coming into their own and cements their place as one of the most singular and exciting bands in the genre.

Guitars for The Decaying Light were tracked by band guitarist Jake Wilkes, drums and bass were recorded by Joe Haley (Psycroptic), and vocals were tracked by Dan Field at Sledgehammer Studios. Mixing and reamping for the effort were done by Disentomb bassist Adrian Cappelletti, and mastering was done by Colin Davis at Imperial Mastering (Deeds of Flesh, Devourment).

Artwork for The Decaying Light comes from the incredible Nick Keller with the layout and design coming from Steve Crow of Condemned.

The band commented on the effort, "These 13 tracks combined make up an album we have always wanted to write and have been on the path to writing since the birth of Disentomb 10 years ago. The Decaying Light solidifies a unique sound we have worked to carve out, 13 tracks of dissonant Brutal Death that we feel is our most personal and accomplished work to date. The addition of Adrian on bass has helped Disentomb reach new levels of songwriting and cemented our sound. We understand five years is a long time between albums, especially for touring bands, and we thank our fans for their patience."

SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS will release "Living The Dream Tour" on DVD+2CD, Blu-ray+2 CD, 3LP black vinyl, limited-edition 3LP red vinyl, digital video and digital audio on September 20 via Eagle Vision.

"Living The Dream Tour" was shot on location on February 20, 2019 in front of a rabid crowd at London, England's Eventim Apollo. It features Slash and company roaring through a highly charged two-hour set of tracks from all four of Slash's solo albums. The set includes "Call Of The Wild", "Driving Rain", "By The Sword", "Back From Cali", "Starlight", "World On Fire" and "Anastasia". There's a searing live version of "Shadow Life", as well as "We Are All Gonna Die" and "Doctor Alibi", during which lead singer Myles Kennedy switches vocal duties with bassist Todd Kerns. Earlier this year, Slash told Loudwire about the London concert filmed for the live release: "Whenever you do a live recording, all you can do is just wing it. You can hope that that particular show is not going to be the worst one on the tour. Very rarely do you plan to do a live record and it's the most magic show of the whole tour. That's a kind of luck that just doesn't really happen all that often."

He continued: "It was one of the best London crowds that I played in front of with THE CONSPIRATORS, for sure. It was a really great, great, great live [experience], the whole vibe of the thing was great, and it was great that it was at Hammersmith, which is just one of those historical venues. It was a good, energetic show, and I listened to the live recording, or at least some of it, and it's totally raw, and all the mistakes are in there. We don't really doctor any of it, so it's a pretty honest representation of what happened that night."

"Living The Dream" was released in September via Slash's own label Snakepit Records, in partnership with Roadrunner Records.

"Living The Dream" is Slash's fourth solo album, and third with Slash and his bandmates Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kerns (bass and vocals) and Frank Sidoris (guitar and vocals). The artwork was created by renowned visual artist Ron English.


"It's a natural progression from 'World On Fire', for sure," Slash said of the new album. "I think it has a little more diversity — some of the ideas are not really what I would consider to be predictable." At the same time, he adds, "The record is also a bit more structured, with songs that are shorter and more to the point than last time." Kennedy concurred. "I don't know that there are as many of those sort of 'epic sonic journeys' that we took on the last record," he said. "Although there are songs that take you on a trip, like 'Lost Inside The Girl'. But overall, a lot of these songs — things like 'My Antidote', 'Read Between The Lines', 'Slow Grind' — they're pretty precise statements, and they definitely fall in line with the type of sound we're known for. There's a certain type of sonic calling card that we've developed over the years, and you can hear it front and center on this record."

"It's just a snapshot of where we're at," Slash continued, summing up "Living The Dream". "Which is what we're going for with each new album — to be present in what we're doing and come up with something that is representative of and reflects this moment in time."

Steelheart have been performing throughout the world for over 30 years. Recently, the group headed over to Korea to perform at the Busan Rock Festival, and treated the capacity crowd of over 25,000 to a performance of a lifetime. They then jetted off to Tokyo for a hot, sweaty and explosive theatre show. Luckily for fans around the world, the band brought along their film crew to capture every detail.

Combined, they have created a sure-fire video that oozes with the sexy and excitement of a Steelheart live show. You'll want to watch this over and over again to capture the energy and power of the band. Powerhouse vocalist Miljenko Matijevic providing notes for the Gods, while Goddesses dance to the track. If you think this video deliberately went out of its way to evoke the fun of yesteryear rock n' roll - you'd be right! Rock doesn't need to be serious. It must be fun and Steelheart delivers in droves and won't stop until every fan has had their share.

Here it is! The audio of "Never Enough For You" - the first song written by All-Canadian cover band Toque. Enlisted in the ranks of Toque are Todd Kerns and Brent Fitz - both of whom play in Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators - along with Cory Churko (Shania Twain) and Shane Gaalaas. German epic metal pioneers, Equilibrium, have released a video for the 8-bit version of "Renegades - A Lost Generation", a song from their sixth studio album, Renegades, today via Nuclear Blast. Watch the clip below, and order the album here.

Renegades was recorded and produced from September 2018 through March 2019 by the band itself and Swedish producer Robin Leijon. It's the first Equilibrium album to feature Skar with his clean vocals and Skadi Rosehurst on synths.
