Watch HELLYEAH Play PANTERA Covers In Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

Watch HELLYEAH Play PANTERA Covers In Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

Fan-filmed video footage of HELLYEAH covering PANTERA's "I'm Broken" and "Walk" on July 30 at Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania can be seen below (courtesy of YouTube user "KymPisces").

HELLYEAH's sixth studio album, "Welcome Home", will be released on September 27 via Eleven Seven Music. The disc will mark the group's final effort with drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott (formerly of PANTERA), who passed away more than a year ago.

HELLYEAH's May 11 concert in Las Vegas marked the first time the band has taken the stage since Vinnie's passing and the debut of STONE SOUR member Roy Mayorga as Vinnie's replacement.

HELLYEAH's 18-city headlining summer outing kicked off on July 23 in Atlanta, and will culminate in a special celebration on Saturday, August 17 in Dallas, Texas.

Like the last two records, 2016's "Unden!able" and 2014's "Blood For Blood", "Welcome Home" was recorded at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada with producer Kevin Churko.

Vinnie Paul died in June 2018 at the age of 54 in his sleep at his home in Las Vegas. The official cause of death was dilated cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart, as well as severe coronary artery disease.

HELLYEAH guitarist Tom Maxwell recently paid tribute to Vinnie on the first anniversary of the drummer’s death. Maxwell wrote in part: "I'm writing you this letter to tell you how much I miss and love you. Never could I have imagined you not being here with us anymore. There's so much all of us lost when you left us. Your smile, your infectious laugh, your always steadfast care of all those around you. Everything has changed now.

The guitarist continued: "Our family is just shards of what it used to be. It seemed like every day was harder then the one before it. It's hard just knowing that you're not here to lift everyone up and make everything better with just the simplest things you always used to do. It's hard waking up and trying to navigate through such murky waters. We're doing our best — some better than others, some not so much."

Boleskine House: Former Home Of Occultist ALEISTER CROWLEY And LED ZEPPELIN Guitarist JIMMY PAGE Burns To Ground In Suspected Arson Attack

Boleskine House: Former Home Of Occultist ALEISTER CROWLEY And LED ZEPPELIN Guitarist JIMMY PAGE Burns To Ground In Suspected Arson Attack

The former home of occultist Aleister Crowley has burnt to the ground in a suspected arson attack, reports The Scotsman. Firefighters were called to Boleskine House, Foyers, on the south side of Loch Ness, around 3:30 PM yesterday.

New owners took over the property last month with a pledge to restore the property, that was badly damaged by fire in 2015.

The Boleskine House foundation planned to open up part of the property to the public as well as create a wellness-style retreat where followers of Crowley's teachings could gather.

Police Scotland believe the fire was started deliberately and are appealing for witnesses.

Read more at The Scotsman.

Led Zeppelin founder and guitarist, Jimmy Page, bought Boleskine House in the 1970s with the rock god owning the "most notorious home in the Highlands" for around 20 years.

Watch HEART Perform In Tinley Park, Illinois

Watch HEART Perform In Tinley Park, Illinois

Fan-filmed video footage of HEART's July 11 concert at the Hollywood Casino Ampthiteater in Tinley Park, Illinois can be seen below.

HEART — Ann and Nancy Wilson — recently extended its massive "Love Alive" cross-country summer tour into the fall with dates now taking the group through October. New dates include stops in Newark, Little Rock, Memphis, Kansas City, St. Paul and more with JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS joining as very special guests and Lucie Silvas opening.

The group's first tour in three years kicked off on July 9 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri and includes stops in Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Denver, and Los Angeles at the historic Hollywood Bowl, before wrapping October 13.

Produced by Live Nation, the now-48-city trek by the trend-setting, multiple-platinum Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame legends includes a stellar lineup with JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS joining the majority of shows. The first leg of the tour also includes Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile, Elle King and Lucie Silvas as special guests.

Nancy and Ann Wilson had a falling out during HEART's 2016 tour, when Ann's husband Dean Welter was arrested for assaulting Nancy's then-16-year-old twin sons in a backstage altercation at a gig near their hometown of Seattle. He pleaded guilty to two lesser assault charges to avoid jail time, but the damage to HEART had been done.

During an appearance on the "Let There Be Talk" podcast, Nancy spoke about the incident which caused HEART to go on a kind of hiatus for the past three years. "There was a family drama that was highly uncalled for and unnecessary and hurtful, and it was just one of those things that takes time to get past," she said. "So, a couple of years have gone by. It's not anything that Ann ever did wrong, or I ever did wrong, but it's just one of those family dramas that just happened, and it just kind of poisoned the atmosphere for a while there. So it's good. I've had a real positive feeling about now that I'm communicating directly more with Ann."

Asked who it was that made the initial contact about a possible reunion tour, Nancy said: "I've been sort of [reaching out to Ann] for a while, but she was kind of busy and, I think, scared to talk. And I kind of said, 'I'm not ever gonna confront you about anything, but there is this huge offer on the table, so we should talk — just the two of us.'"

STEEL PANTHER: 10-Camera Video Edit Of New Orleans Concert

STEEL PANTHER: 10-Camera Video Edit Of New Orleans Concert

A 10-camera video edit of STEEL PANTHER's June 28 performance at The Fillmore in New Orleans, Louisiana can be seen below (courtesy of Tim Mcaskill).

STEEL PANTHER will release its fifth studio album, "Heavy Metal Rules", on September 27. The disc, which is described in a press release as a "heavy metal version of a self-help manual and ultimate party album combined," was once again produced by Jay Ruston, who collaborated with the band on all of its previous recordings, including its latest LP, 2017's "Lower The Bar".

The band says in a statement: "'Heavy Metal Rules' is the ultimate party album. Anthem after anthem and hook after hook, the songs will provide the soundtrack to your new bitchin' heavy metal life. The first single, 'All I Wanna Do Is Fuck (Myself Tonight)', is the ultimate song about self-love and having a positive personal self-image. It is the kind of song you put on to get yourself in the mood whether you're getting ready to have sex with yourself or 17 girls in a row."

From the opening track "Zebraman" (which is audio taken from the classic film "Heavy Metal Parking Lot") to the emotional album closer "I Ain't Buying What You’re Selling", STEEL PANTHER has created 36 minutes of audio eargasms. Songs like "Let's Get High Tonight", "Fuck Everybody" and "Gods Of Pussy" are destined to become natural additions to the band's setlist. "I'm Not Your Bitch" is an anthem for all acknowledged genders and sexual orientations worldwide.

The video for the first single "All I Wanna Do Is Fuck (Myself Tonight)", was shot in Las Vegas and features cameos from numerous celebrities from music, comedy, YouTube and more.

STEEL PANTHER will celebrate the release of "Heavy Metal Rules" with a concert at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California on September 26.

STEEL PANTHER specializes in imitating and exaggerating the less flattering aspects of 1980s hair metal, with unrepentantly crude, non-PC sexual content as a favorite lyrical theme.

The group's music has been described as "VAN HALEN meets MÖTLEY CRÜE meets RATT meets 'Wayne's World', complete with operatic shrieks, misogyny, shredding guitar solos and libidinal overdrive."

Eleven years ago, STEEL PANTHER changed its name from METAL SKOOL to its current moniker and shifted the focus of its act from '80s metal covers to originals.

RED Releases New Single, 'From The Ashes'

RED Releases New Single, 'From The Ashes'

Grammy-nominated rock band RED has released the "From The Ashes" single via Red Entertainment with distribution from The Fuel Music into digital and streaming outlets globally, including iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify and more.

"'From The Ashes' reflects on where our minds can go when we've hit the bottom," says RED bassist Randy Armstrong. "You've been written off, left out in the cold because the world doesn't care about your situation and nothing in the past matters much today. It's about having the motivation to rise and turn your failure and mistakes into success and survival."

Produced by the band's longtime collaborator Rob Graves, the new single follows "The Evening Hate", which has over 560,000 streams on YouTube alone. The song's cinematic short film was written, directed and produced by RED, and stars the band.

RED, comprised of Michael Barnes (vocals), identical twin brothers Anthony (guitars) and Randy Armstrong, and longtime live drummer, now official band member, Dan Johnson, will take "The Evening Hate", "From The Ashes" and a bevy of its No. 1 hits and fan favorites on the road beginning on August 24 in Muncie, Indiana.

SHAPED IN DREAMS Project Launched Featuring Members Of BLACK CROWN INITIATE, OBSCURA, OBSCURITY, More

SHAPED IN DREAMS Project Launched Featuring Members Of BLACK CROWN INITIATE, OBSCURA, OBSCURITY, More

Shaped In Dreams is a musical project of composer/multi-instrumentalist Martin Matiasovic featuring international, renowned guest artists from Black Crown Initiate, Obscura, Obscurity, Alkaloid and more. The main motivation behind the project was establishing a creative outlet for the artist's restless urge to compose and thereby also present his eclectic, multi-genre vision of music mainly drawing inspiration from heavy, guitar oriented and classical music. The result is a kind of music that represents the message that genres and styles are but a superficial, non-essential quality of music, that its real substance lies beyond them and that they ultimately don't matter. This is expressed by a multitude of genres represented on the album while at the same time conveying the same ideas throughout its entirety.

Born February 1993 in Slovakia, Martin showed an early interest in music starting with recorder at the age of 6, later switching to French horn. During his mid teenage years he developed an interest in alternative rock music listening to Nirvana and Alice In Chains which also led him to pick up the guitar. Shortly after that he started favoring heavier, more guitar oriented bands like Megadeth and Judas Priest, later Scandinavian melodeath pioneers In Flames and Dark Tranquillity as well as instrumental guitar music from Shrapnel Records artists. From day one he was experimenting with writing own music rather than learning songs of other artists.

This naturally progressed to a heavy interest in composition and music theory which, soon after, he was being taught formally at the conservatory in Bratislava where he also continued with his French horn studies. During these years he formed a melodic death metal band with friends. This helped him to further develop his songwriting skills in the metal genre and gain experiences with playing in a band situation, later he stepped in as a touring guitarist for a local symphonic black metal band. After graduating at the conservatory he went on to study French horn performance at Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden, Germany, where he attained his bachelor's degree in 2019 and got further accepted for master studies. During his second year in Dresden he won a scholarship which he used as a financial basis to start producing Shaped In Dreams' first release Echoes Of Eldren Deeds.

Line Up:

Martin Matiasovic - producer, rhythm, lead and acoustic guitar, French horn, field recordings, composing, arranging, editing
James Dorton - vocals, arranging (Black Crown Initiate, Replacire)
Linus Klausenitzer - fretless bass, editing, arranging (Obscura, Alkaloid, Noneuclid)
Marc Dzierzon - drums, arranging (Obscurity, Centaurus-A, ex-Almanac, ex-Dew Scented)
Matthias Preisinger - acoustic piano, string instruments (German composer, multi-instrumentalist, session musician)
Mikołaj Suchanek - electric piano, improvisations (jazz pianist)
Harmonia Nova - wind instruments (woodwind quintet)
Christina Rotondo - clean vocals (session vocalist)

Tom Fountainhead Geldschläger - mixing, mastering, arranging, editing, co-producing (ex-Obscura, Amogh Symphony, Pitts-Minnemann Project)

Echoes Of Eldren Deeds was recorded between February 2018 and June 2019 at the respective studios of the guest artists - Germany, Slovakia, USA, Great Britain and is scheduled to be released in November 2019 via Vmbrella.

BRANT BJORK's Solo Debut, Jalamanta, To Receive Deluxe Reissue In September

BRANT BJORK's Solo Debut, Jalamanta, To Receive Deluxe Reissue In September

Jalamanta is the debut album from Brant Bjork. Originally released in 1999 on the now defunct label Man's Ruin Records, the record launched the solo career of the former Fu Manchu and founding Kyuss member. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Jalamanta, Bjork presents a remastered re-release of the LP, remixed by Brant and original engineer Tony Mason using the master tapes, and featuring beautiful new album artwork in shining tribute to the record's original design. This edition also contains Bjork's cover of Blue Öyster Cult's "Take Me Away". Jalamanta will see a September 13 release via Heavy Psych Sounds Records. Pre-order here.

Hailed as "an exercise in the rhythmic hypnotism" and "a soulful, heaping helping of melody with a side order of slowly unwinding grooves," Jalamanta is an album that sees Bjork touch on funk, jazz, psychedelia, ambient, garage rock and has traces of folk, avant-pop, punk, and improvisational music. It's perfect for a warm summer night, for sitting on the porch with a beer and watching the twilight settle.

"Jalamanta was a life changing record for me," says Brant. "It's the record that launched my journey as Brant Bjork. Listening to the tapes 20 years later was amazing. The record's engineer Tony Mason and myself were transported back to that moment in time. Jalamanta was a first for both Tony and myself: my first record as a solo artist and his first record as an engineer. We didn't have to think twice about re-mixing it. With our combined experience over the years, we knew we could take Jalamanta to the place we always wanted it to go..and we did. Dig it."

At the time leading up to the recording of Jalamanta, Bjork had previously played with the legendary Kyuss and Fu Manchu. At some point in 1998 or early 1999, Bjork decided he wanted to make a record on his own. He rented a week's worth of studio time at Rancho de la Luna in Joshua Tree, California. The month prior, Brant would record demos on a 4-track and test out how the songs "grooved" on daily bike commutes. With time and money limited, Brant rehearsed enough to work all of the LP's songs out in his head by the time it came to record, drawing influences from the likes of CAN and Peter Tosh. Brant then painted together a record representing the desert and small town life as he envisioned it.

If Kyuss represents the desert at it's harshest, all heatwaves and howling winds and Gila monsters, then the Jalamanta album is the desert at it's most tranquil; peaceful, spacious and calm. The mostly instrumental LP is the perfect summertime soundtrack; listening is like a mellow trip to a California beach, at dusk.

Brant Bjork recently announced a North American headlining tour. Set to launch on September 12 in St. Louis, MO, the two and a half week trek will run up the east coast, concluding on September 28 in Milwaukee, WI. Support on the Brant Bjork tour will come from Philadelphia heavy psych unit, Ecstatic Vision.

Dates:

September
12 - St Louis, MO - Firebird
13 - Indianapolis, IN - Citadel Music Hall
14 - Youngstown, OH - Westside Bowl
15 - Baltimore, MD - Otto Bar
16 - Columbus, OH - Woodlands
17 - Buffalo, NY - Iron Works
18 - Boston, MA - Middle East Upstairs
19 - Brooklyn, NY - Kingsland
20 - Teaneck, NJ - Debonair
21 - Philadelphia, PA - Kung Fu Knecktie
22 - Providence, RI - Dusk
23 - New Haven, CT - The State House
24 - Brattleboro, VT - Stone church
25 - Toronto, ON - Lee's Palace
26 - Detroit, MI - Magic Bag
27 - Chicago, IL - Reggie's Rock Club
28 - Milwaukee, WI - Walker's Point

Brant Bjork has spent over a quarter century at the epicenter of Californian desert rock. From cutting his teeth alongside Fatso Jetson’s Mario Lalli in hardcore punkers De-Con to drumming and composing on Kyuss’ landmark early albums, to propelling the seminal fuzz of Fu Manchu from 1994-2001 while producing other bands, putting together offshoot projects like Ché, embarking on his solo career as a singer, guitarist and bandleader, founding his own record label and more, Bjork's history is a winding narrative of relentless, unflinching creativity.

TANK To Begin Work On New Album For 2020 Release; 2019 Tour Videos Posted

TANK To Begin Work On New Album For 2020 Release; 2019 Tour Videos Posted

Tank, the legendary NWOBHM band, recently completed their first ever tour of Australia, which was a great success. A return to the continent is already in the planning for 2020. Pro-shot video from Melbourne, Australia can be seen below.

After Australia the band returned to Japan for the first time in 20 years for sold out shows in Tokyo and Osaka. While Tank were in Tokyo they teamed up with world famous Japanese tattoo artist Genko to design a special limited edition t-shirt for the tour. The design process from start to finish can be seen below.

The band will be heading off to South America this month for shows in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Colombia, and then they will come off the road and start working on their next studio album, which is as yet untitled. The album is scheduled for release in early 2020 through Metal Mind Productions.

Cliff Evans, guitar: We’re really excited about recording this new studio album as the band is really fired up at the moment and this is without doubt the most rockin’ line up we’ve ever had. Working with vocalist David Readman on our Re-Ignition album which was released earlier this year gave us the chance to take a more basic, raw edged approach to recording. His voice really works so well with our style of music and the new material we’re writing together is taking us in a slightly different direction to our previous albums which is a challenge we welcome."

Mick Tucker, guitar: "After recording two Tank albums with former Rainbow and current Michael Schenker vocalist Doogie White plus one album with current Skid Row frontman ZP Theart, it’s now time to take things forward another step on our next studio album. We like to keep our music fresh and exciting so working with different vocalists/musicians will always bring a different dynamic to the band which keeps our music interesting and up to date."

Tour dates:

August
15 - Beunos Aires, Argentina - Museo Rock
16 - Asuncion, Paraguay - Absoluto Rock
17 - Santiago, Chile - TBA
18 - Sao Paulo, Brazil - Manifesto Bar

EXHORDER Discuss First Single In Nearly Three Decades In New Mourn The Southern Skies Album Trailer

EXHORDER Discuss First Single In Nearly Three Decades In New Mourn The Southern Skies Album Trailer

New Orleans-based thrash metal legends, Exhorder, will release their first album in 27 years, Mourn The Southern Skies, on September 20 via Nuclear Blast Records. Pre-order the album in various formats, here.

Today, the band has released a new album trailer in which they give fans an inside look into what’s behind their first single in nearly three decades, “My Time.”

The New Orleans natives made their long-awaited return last year with a string of reunion shows and festival appearances, and now are launching a full-on comeback with the impending release of Mourn The Southern Skies. Recorded by Duane Simoneaux at OCD Recording and Production and working with producer Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Opeth) at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden for mix/master, Exhorder is armed with more fury and vigor than bands half their age, concocting an intoxicating amalgam of old school thrashers and groovers blended with a modern, mature approach.

From the opening of the first track of Mourn The Southern Skies, listeners are reminded immediately just what Exhorder is exactly through the spitting rage "My Time" forces upon their ears. It is evident that the anger remains prevalent, with perhaps a different point of view that younger men could not possibly have understood on earlier albums. Sasha Horn's energy and punk influence fire the engines, with Jason VieBrooks locking down the foundation tightly. Vinnie La Bella once again has proven himself "The Godfather" of thrash riffs, which cut through like a high speed drill bit thanks to the stellar production. A lead guitar face-off in the solo not only exhibits Vinnie's sometimes under-appreciated skills as a shredder, but also showcases newcomer Marzi Montazeri (“The High Priest of Distortion"). If anyone ever doubted Exhorder's skill set regarding guitar soloing, those days are gone forever! And finally, as if riding a runaway garbage truck with fireworks exploding off of its roof top, Kyle Thomas invokes venom and energy with familiar passion. All in all, the truth is apparent - Exhorder mean business once again!

Exhorder’s founding guitarist Vinnie La Bella says of their resurgence, “You can plot and scheme for years, even decades (as is in our case). You can work hard, keep grinding, bang the square peg in the round hole until it looks somewhat presentable. But sometimes you just need to let time tell you, it's time. Exhorder has its own soul. And it pokes me in the ribs ever so often as if to remind me, 'Hey asshole, we ain't done yet!' Kyle and myself had a dream as teenagers. And as cliche as it may seem, we never woke up from it. Exhorder has always crept in and out of our lives. So no magic bullet or formula here. It was only a simple matter of time before the right guys, the right songs, the right manager/label would finally come to the party. It's been damn near 35 years since we first uttered the name, Exhorder. 27 years since our last record, and a whole lot of breaking up and making up in between. So why is this time different? Why start again at 50 years of age instead of retiring? Simple... because it’s finally, TIME!"

Exhorder’s enduring legacy began in the mid-80’s when they defined the sound of Louisiana thrash and groove metal. Their initial formation was short lived, lasting nearly a decade with two critically acclaimed, classic albums, but their impact on the metal genre can be felt through a generation of bands that followed. Exhorder dissolved in the mid-90’s but briefling reunited in 2011. Now, the band has returned to reclaim their throne of NOLA metal with their awaited new album and an all-star line-up that includes Kyle Thomas (founding vocalist; Trouble, Heavy As Texas), Vinnie La Bella (founding guitarist), Marzi Montazeri (guitarist; ex-Superjoint Ritual, ex-Phil Anselmo & The Illegals, Heavy As Texas), Jason VieBrooks (bassist since 2011; Heathen, Grip Inc.) and Sasha Horn (drummer; Forbidden).

Reptilium, also known as “The Reptile Sect” is a death cult originated in the cursed mountain region of South America, with the goal of establishing a portal for their so called "forbidden truth" to come through. As far of now this cult is believed to be led by high string priest Nirah, cryptic skinner Cecrops and attended by abominable hierophants such as the low frequency conjurer Lotan.

The occultist sect has been known to sacrifice its former collaborators in the process of achieving its ritualistic ends. Conspiranoic is Reptilium's first sonic transmission medium.

HUMANITY’S LAST BREATH Issue “Rampant” Video; Abyssal Album Out Now

Apocalyptically heavy Swedish technical death metal band Humanity's Last Breath have unveiled a music video for their song "Rampant" today. Filmed at last year's Euroblast Festival, the clip showcases the group's unsettling, chaotic, and relentlessly dark live power.

"Rampant" is off of the group's monstrous and critically acclaimed new album Abyssal which is out today via Unique Leader Records.

The band said of the video, "We're stoked to deliver one of the more hectic and fast paced tracks from our new album, Abyssal. The video was filmed at last year's Euroblast featuring crazy lighting production, intended to invite our fans into our unsettled and dark world."

The monolithic and otherworldly heaviness of Abyssal sees Humanity's Last Breath establishing themselves as one of the most inexorably devastating bands on the planet.

THE WILD! Release New Single "Playing With Fire"; Visualizer Streaming

THE WILD! Release New Single "Playing With Fire"; Visualizer Streaming

Canadian rock outlaws, The Wild!, turn up the heat this summer with a new single, "Playing With Fire". The track follows their "Helluva Ride", released in May and is a testament to the band’s dedication to their craft, keeping the flame of their progression alive. Listen to "Playing With Fire" here, or via the visualizer below.

A road paved by fast times and loose morals on the pursuit of personal freedom gave The Wild! their sound. While always remaining true to their name, it’s their never-say-die attitude that’s proven them to be one of the strongest up and coming rock bands on the market today.

"Playing With Fire", the band’s thunderous new single. It’s the band’s third collaboration with JUNO-Award winning producer, Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Van Halen). "Playing With Fire" cements a unique signature identity for The Wild!, unapologetically merging blues-based rock, punk and elements of country into one dirty little package.

Without a record label, booking agent, or paid promotional team, in 2015 The Wild! saw their first single, Roadhouse, on the Active Rock radio charts in their native country of Canada. This gained them their agent, Ralph James and the interest of Mike Fraser, who was offered Villain’s ’65 Cadillac Deville in lieu of a label budget to make their first record. As a small but rabid fanbase grew, the band made a deal with North America’s biggest indie label, Entertainment One.

The Wild!’s debut album, GxDxWxB, produced the Active Rock radio hit, Slow Burn, which peaked at Number 5 in Canada while Straight to Hell and What About You? both cracked the Top 20. During this time, the band headlined their own tours and supported Buckcherry, Godsmack, Korn, Rise Against, Wolfmother and more.

In 2017, the band’s second album, Wild At Heart, knocked Metallica out of the Number 2 spot on the iTunes Rock Charts when it debuted. Ready to Roll reached Number 4 at Active Rock in Canada and garnered the attention of legendary rock radio DJ and TV personality Eddie Trunk as he spun the song on his syndicated show broadcasted to nearly 40 American radio stations. The band then announced spots on major US rock festivals Carolina Rebellion and Welcome To Rockville. Both headline and support tours followed alongside the likes of Airbourne, Steel Panther and Rose Tattoo as the band continued to travel across North America before later heading overseas for the first time. On their first tour in Europe, the band sold 600 records in just nine shows. With the demand of their growing fan base overseas, The Wild! would make their way back to Europe two more times that year.

On the strength of their latest single, The Wild! are poised to set 2019 ablaze with appearances confirmed on the European Full Metal Cruise, Wacken Open Air, Sweden Rock, and the UK’s Steelhouse Festival. The Wild! also return to Europe for another headline tour as well as more dates supporting Rose Tattoo along with a Fall Canadian tour run.

This is a band making their name the old-fashioned way, earning their stripes night after night through hard work on the road. From their home in Canada to stages across America and Europe, The Wild! are here to give rock fans something very real. If you like straightforward, no-bullshit rock and roll, The Wild! is here to deliver.

Ireland's XERO Release "This Ending Fall" Track Featuring Original JUDAS PRIEST Frontman AL ATKINS; Music Video Streaming

Limerick, Ireland-based band, Xero, have released a new song and music video, "This Endless Fall", featuring original Judas Priest vocalist Al Atkins, as well as Shawn Bowen (Neurotica, Meatspace, Didges Christ Superdrum) on electric sitar and lead guitar.

Atkins had this to say: "I love working with young musicians with their take on metal and mixing it up with classic rock.."

Bowen states: "I play some electric sitar in the intro and rip a solo in this one.  I love the old 70's Priest stuff and have listened to it a LOT so I tried to emulate the crazy K.K. Downing vibrato in my lead break like his solo in the classic 'Victim Of Changes', which is one of the old tunes Allan has songwriting credits for!!"

EQUILIBRIUM Premier Official Music Video For "Path Of Destiny"

EQUILIBRIUM Premier Official Music Video For "Path Of Destiny"

German epic metal pioneers, Equilibrium, have released a video for "Path Of Destiny", a track from their upcoming sixth studio album, Renegades, out on August 16 via Nuclear Blast. Watch the clip below, and pre-order the album here.

Renegades was recorded and produced from September 2018 through March 2019 by the band itself and Swedish producer Robin Leijon. It's the first Equilibrium album to feature Skar with his clean vocals and Skadi Rosehurst on synths.

Mastermind  René Berthiaume states: "We can't wait to return with new music after 3 years. Musically as well as lyrically Renegades has definitely become our most uncompromising and personal album to date. We are especially proud of the introduction of our new members: Skadi has been one of the driving forces behind Equilibrium for many years now. She has mainly been responsible for artwork, designs, musical and lyrical input and will now support us live on the synths in a few months’ time.

"Skar, on the other hand, has become a completely new part of the Equilibrium family. Some of you might already know him from his work on YouTube as Skar Productions. On the current album he gave us outstanding additional (clean) vocals as well as bass tracks and the logical consequence was that he joined us permanently. So there's a lot going on with us right now. At the same time we want to say a big thank you to Makki who smashed the bass live for us during the past 2,5 years. You rock!

"We love to develop further; standing still would be our inner death. So you can be curious about what's coming!"

Tracklisting:

"Renegades - A Lost Generation"
"Tornado"
"Himmel und Feuer"
"Path Of Destiny" (feat. The Butcher Sisters)

Video Premiere: VISIONS OF ATLANTIS's 'A Journey To Remember'

Video Premiere: VISIONS OF ATLANTIS's 'A Journey To Remember'

The official music video for "A Journey To Remember", a brand new song from VISIONS OF ATLANTIS, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's upcoming album, titled "Wanderers", which will be released on August 30 via Napalm Records.

According to a press release, "Wanderers" "offers a captivating musical and lyrical journey across the untamed seas along a powerful path towards self-discovery. It's armed with amazing duets by Clémentine Delauney and Michele Guaitoli and is one of the most intense and profound symphonic metal albums the world has seen (or rather, heard) in the past 15 years."

"Wanderers" track listing:

01. Release My Symphony

02. Heroes Of The Dawn

03. Nothing Lasts Forever

04. A Journey To Remember

05. A Life Of Our Own

06. To The Universe

07. Into The Light

08. The Silent Scream

09. The Siren & The Sailor

10. Wanderers

11. At The End Of The World

Bonus tracks:

12. Bring The Storm

13. In And Out of Love

VISIONS OF ATLANTIS really went all in regarding its promotional photo shoot for the new album. They chose a deserted beach along the coast of the vast Atlantic Ocean, including stranded pirate ships and a harsh coastline created by the elements. It is quite obvious why the Peninsula of Quiberon was the perfect destination for this photo shoot: the natural light and rough seas supplied a beautiful backdrop and the pictures capture the vision of "Wanderers" perfectly.

Earlier this year, Delauney said that the follow-up to 2018's "The Deep & The Dark" would continue in a similar musical direction. "I think it's going to be done pretty much in the same with 'The Deep & The Dark', except we have a new singer now, Michele," she said. "The vocal division and harmonies will be different with him, but we're looking forward to it. He's an amazing vocalist. The songs, we trying to keep track with 'The Deep & The Dark'. It's going to be a continuation of the symphonic metal, but it could be a couple of songs will show us under a different light. We need to evolve as a band. There's no point in doing 'The Deep & The Dark' Part II. The band needs to grow up and evolve. Those who really like that album will definitely not be disappointed."

VISIONS OF ATLANTIS performed with an orchestra for the first time ever at this year's edition of the Bang Your Head!! festival in Balingen, Germany. The concert was professionally filmed and recorded for the band's first-ever Blu-ray/DVD, to be released in 2020.

HELLOWEEN Releases Official Live Video For 'Pumpkins United' From Upcoming DVD/Blu-Ray

HELLOWEEN Releases Official Live Video For 'Pumpkins United' From Upcoming DVD/Blu-Ray

The official video for "Pumpkins United", the first single from HELLOWEEN's upcoming live DVD/Blu-ray and live CD, can be seen below.

During the "Hellbook" production to celebrate HELLOWEEN's 30th anniversary, the contributors came to realize that the chemistry in the band had always been unique — and that what belongs together needs to be together again. However, the birth of "Pumpkins United" wasn't just an original lineup reunion, but the real deal. The ultimate cast consisting of all seven metal heroes: former vocalist Michael Kiske and guitarist/vocalist Kai Hansen alongside current singer Andi Deris, guitarists Michael Weikath and Sascha Gerstner, bassist Markus Grosskopf and drummer Dani Löble. What followed was a cry of joy from North Germany's river Elbe to Rio's Sugar Loaf Mountain and the "Pumpkins United" world tour, with 69 shows in front of more than one million people in 32 countries acoss three continents in fall 2017. The band's headline slots at Wacken Open Air, Rock Fest and Masters Of Rock, as well as their shows with IRON MAIDEN at the Sweden Rock Festival and Firenze Rocks, the revival was received enthusiastically, stages were set on fire, and tears were shed. After dates in the U.S. and additional shows in Latin America, this tour for the ages ended in December 2018 with a highly emotional finale in Hamburg, where it all began in 1984.

"This amazing journey was one of those 'magic moments' words can't describe — it simply was what we all love most: meet great people, go back in time with our memories, and celebrate the ultimate HELLOWEEN party together," said Deris.

From October 4, that's finally possible: With the release of "United Alive" and "United Alive In Madrid", we can transport ourselves to that tour at any time, and dive into every detail with hellish tracking shots, breathless close-ups, and intimate interviews. The artwork was created by Martin Hausler once again and offers plenty of unreleased live images.

Said Kiske: "It wasn't easy to condense this unbelievable tour adequately and capture how it felt for us. That's why we had the idea to film the biggest festival gig, the most massive arena show, and the hottest club date."

The DVD/Blu-ray nails the tour with recordings from Wacken in front of 75,000 metalheads and 14,000 fans in the Madrid arena — and as a bonus, the show in the Espaço das Américas, gathering 8,000 in São Paulo. Altogether it offers over three hours of live material in stereo and premium 5.1 Surround Sound, plus backstage material, tons of surprises, and a very personal band interview about the past, present, and future. The live CD/vinyl presents a whopping two hours and 20 minutes of pure audio material from the concert in Madrid plus four bonus tracks from the shows in Prague, São Paulo, Wacken, and Santiago de Chile.

The "Pumpkins United" tour marks the first time Kiske has played live with HELLOWEEN since 1993. Hansen, who departed HELLOWEEN in 1988, has been joining the band onstage on various tours and festival appearances throughout the years. The set features several duets with Kiske and his replacement, Deris, along with many rarely played songs, including "Kids Of The Century", "Rise And Fall" and "Livin' Ain't No Crime". Hansen — who fronted HELLOWEEN until late 1986 — sings a medley of several early HELLOWEEN classics, including "Ride The Sky", "Judas", "Starlight" and "Heavy Metal (Is The Law)".

Watch Video For New REFUSED Single 'Blood Red'

Watch Video For New REFUSED Single 'Blood Red'

Spinefarm Records and Search & Destroy have partnered with REFUSED globally to deliver the band's opening salvo "Blood Red". The song is the first single off their upcoming album, "War Music", and is a straight forward declaration of the band's unwavering political and musical philosophy.

Blending the musical and political passions that have helped the band rise to near legendary status since their founding in 1991, the accompanying music video showcases the band's roots in early '90s Umeå, Sweden juxtaposed against the present day, making it clear that the dynamism that brought the band to international prominence shows no sign of slowing down in 2019.

Said REFUSED: "We didn't play a single show during the making of the last album. It was a long time to be away after the addictive chaos of our reunion shows in 2012. Playing to houses packed with maniacs losing their minds right in front of you is a narcotic to rival actual narcotics we'd venture. (Not our field of expertise, but Keith Richards definitely seems to feel that way, and he's an expert on both.) So as we went out on tour in the summer of 2015 we were getting pretty high on our own supply (of songs that is). It was amazing, simply put.

"But it was also obvious that 'Freedom' was, for the most part, a studio record. A great record, to us, but there was something missing as we started playing it live — something visceral, direct, relentless. At a soundcheck somewhere on the road (Austin?), Kristofer started playing this riff and we all got into it (jamming, as it were). After a while we noticed that our crew had stopped working and that the people working at the venue were standing around watching us play. Now, people at venues usually hardly notice you, they've seen a thousand bands more famous than you fool around with their precious ditties as they're re-stocking the bar or setting up barricades.

"So as we were settling into the riff proper and it started rolling and bouncing the way you're hearing it today, whatever we felt had been missing, it was clear that we had begun to fill that gap. The riff turned into 'Blood Red', the first song we finished for the new record and the first song we played live off of it. It's fitting that it's now the first song you're gonna hear from the new record because it was truly inspired by you, our live audience, the old and the new, who come out and help us turn every venue into a boiling hot mess. This one's for you.

"If I fall, you'll help me up, OK?

"Welcome to 'War Music.' We'll see you in the pit."

Said REFUSED: "In the present moment, we who believe in the equal distribution of wealth in an egalitarian, ecological direct democracy, we who use gender-neutral pronouns and words like solidarity, moral responsibility, intersectionality and class warfare, we who believe in the Marxist dictum, 'from each according to ability, to each according to need' are on our back foot, on our backs, backed up against the wall, surrounded by enemies, our movement curtailed, our rights violated. It's been clear for some time: the sun is setting on our beliefs.

"But we still believe that capitalism is cancer / and we still believe it can be cured. We still believe that the patriarchy is cancer / and we still believe it too can be cured. We still believe in the power of art to transform and expand the mind. And last but by no means least: We still believe in the total violent obliteration of the one percent. Blood red until we're fucking dead. Let's go."

Formed in Umeå, Sweden in 1991, hardcore-punk legends REFUSED are one of the most influential rock bands of the early '00s. Artists as diverse as LINKIN PARK, Frank Turner, Steve Aoki, Duff McKagan and PARAMORE have been heavily cited crediting the 1998 album "The Shape Of Punk To Come" as being a fundamental influence on their musical styles. That album has become a cultural touchstone for the entire post-hardcore generation as the origination of stylistic genre-bending — including electronics, jazz and slick production for the first time — tent-poled by politically progressive lyrical intent and further strengthened through use of album artwork and energetic live shows to spread their message.

After a 14-year pause, the band reunited in 2012 playing much anticipated shows like mainstream festival Coachella and were subsequently awarded the "Special Prize for Music Exports" by the Swedish Ministry of Trade in 2013. In 2015, they released their fourth studio album "Freedom", which was recorded with Nick Launay (NICK CAVE AND THE BAD SEEDS, KILLING JOKE), while also turning to Swedish pop/producer Shellback, whose credits include Taylor Swift and Britney Spears, for the lead single "Elektra".

"War Music" will be released on October 18 and will be accompanied by a worldwide concert tour, which began in May 2019 with a U.S. tour with THE HIVES and three major European music festivals in June.

ROXY BLUE Premiers "Rockstar Junkie" Music Video

ROXY BLUE Premiers "Rockstar Junkie" Music Video

Memphis, Tennessee hard rockers, Roxy Blue, have released a video for "Rockstar Junkie", a track from the band's upcoming self-titled release, their first album of new material in 27 years, out on August 9 via Frontiers Music Srl. Watch the clip below.

Original members Todd Poole (vocals), Josh Weil (bass), and Scotty Trammell (drums) are now joined by new guitarist Jeffrey Wade Caughron. (Original guitarist Sid "Boogie" Fletcher has left the music business for a successful career in dentistry.)

Roxy Blue's self-titled album is available for pre-order here. A limited amount of signed copies of the album available for pre-order here.

Todd Poole on what fans can expect from the new album: "Roxy Blue fans can expect an explosive new album! I think the new record is definitely a different sound than the 1992 version of Roxy Blue, but not unrecognizable. The new record is much heavier, but still has some cool ballads and hints of early ROXY in there. I feel that it's a well-balanced record."

He continues, "I have been writing songs for years for different projects I've been in, but when Frontiers called, I knew it was an opportunity to take a fresh approach to the Roxy Blue sound. The excitement of having a new record deal actually inspired me to write the songs for the upcoming record from scratch."

On the band's legacy, Poole says, "For Want Some to be recognized as one of the finest moments in the latter hard rock days is an honor. Especially being that there were so many good bands out at the time. We were just so proud to be a part of a great rock era."

Formed in Memphis in late 1989 by Poole, Fletcher, Weil, and Trammell, Roxy Blue started out playing original music from the get-go, with their sights set on putting their music in front of a national and then global audience. Knowing that their dreams were not going to come easy, the guys put their all into step one of their journey, which was to get started playing every gig they could get and opening for every band they could, to get themselves noticed in the local Memphis music scene. Crammed in together in a studio apartment above Cotton Row Studios, the guys were constantly writing and recording new songs and living a 24-hour rock 'n' roll lifestyle miles and miles away for the Sunset Strip of Los Angeles.

Quickly earning a name for themselves within the local Memphis music scene and selling out club shows, they soon created a buzz in the music industry. But it wasn't until one night while playing a local bar they were approached by Jani Lane, the vocalist of Warrant, that things really started to take off. Jani loved what he heard and wanted to help get Roxy Blue's career launched. Soon after, the labels started calling and eventually Geffen Records' legendary A&R guru Tom Zutaut flew the band to Los Angeles to sign them. The next step was to find the right producer to record the band's debut album. Mike Clink, who had produced Guns N' Roses milestone Appetite For Destruction and, at the time, was finishing up GN'R's Use Your Illusion, was ultimately chose for the job. Clink and Roxy Blue were a perfect match and the result was the 1992 release of Want Some.

And a fun fact for fans of the Frontiers label: Poole is the son-in-law of the late, great Jimi Jamison, whom Frontiers had a great, longstanding working relationship with.

DEEP PURPLE Perform "Smoke On The Water" At Giants Stadium In 1988; Rare Video Streaming

DEEP PURPLE Perform "Smoke On The Water" At Giants Stadium In 1988; Rare Video Streaming

Below you can watch Deep Purple's Mark 2 lineup performing their classic track, "Smoke On The Water", live at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey in 1988.

Vocalist Ian Gillan, together with Robert Plant, Ozzy Osbourne and a few others, is considered one of the legendary voices that shaped hard rock. Despite his commitment to Deep Purple, the singer has built an impressive solo career. Contractual Obligation is a collection of performances during a recent tour through Eastern Europe, which contains three shows, released on different formats via earMUSIC.

Still fresh from the success of the studio album, NOW What?!, and just a few months before the release of the latest and equally successful album inFinite, Ian Gillan accepted the offer to tour for a month in Eastern Europe with a full rock show, accompanied every night by a different local orchestra. Gillan decided to recruit the Don Airey Band, which features the guitar talent of Simon McBride.

All shows were truly unique, with Airey and McBride delivering perfect performances night after night. Deep Purple material (including rarities like “Razzle Dazzle” or “Anya”) went hand in hand with Gillan solo songs and surprises for those into the deepest catalogue.

The title is a humorous reference to Ian Gillan’s notorious reticence to pay any attention to his own or Deep Purple live releases (as he explains in the album liner notes). This live album and video might well be one of the nicest chapters in Gillan’s solo production ever and a reminder about how great his solo music and concerts have been over the years.

Curiosity: The last Deep Purple album was named Infinity (which later turned into inFinite) during the afternoon preceding the Warsaw show that ended up being immortalized for its CD release.

Contractual Obligation is available on Blu-Ray (Contractual Obligation #1: Live In Moscow), 2CD & digital (Contractual Obligation #2: Live In Warsaw) and as a 3LP+Download (Contractual Obligation #3: Live In St. Petersburg).

UNRULY CHILD Release Official Music Video For "Will We Give Up Today"

UNRULY CHILD Release Official Music Video For "Will We Give Up Today"

Unruly Child have released a video for "Will We Give Up Today", a track from the band's upcoming seventh studio album, Big Blue World, out August 9 via Frontiers Music Srl. Pre-order the album here, and watch the clip below.

"For this album, there was a conscious decision to merge the best of what Unruly Child does, while still evolving. You know, melodic rock, but with that unique Unruly Child approach,” says Guy Allison. "It’s hard for us to stand still and repeat ourselves, but we also cannot help but sound like “us”, irrespective of any artistic lateral movement. While I’m sometimes surprised what catches the ears of our fans, I think that the album has something for everyone."

Guy Allison continues telling about the creative process, saying, “this album was written (except for the few songs we pulled out of our 'Rabbit Hole' writing sessions, and subsequently reworked) in about 14 days. After we get a structure roughly recorded, I’ll listen to the track until the melody magically shows up, seemingly out of thin air. Sometimes I’ll have a partial lyric, sometimes just a melody that I’m singing nonsense syllables to. I’m really lucky these days to have another wordsmith to work with. In the past, I’ve been the lyricist of most of the songs that I’ve been a writer on, but now I have Betsy Summers to do some of the heavy lifting with me in that department. On some songs I’ll say, “I’ve got this melody, what do ya got?”. On other songs I’ll say, “I’ve got the first verse, but I need a second verse, here’s a pencil”. She always delivers. The rest of the time is spent giving the recordings the attention that they need to become Unruly Child tracks. Finishing the process is a lot like having a block of marble and chipping away at it until the statue underneath is revealed. For us, it’s always been the art of discovering what the song wants to be. Sometimes it’s immediate and sometimes it takes a little longer, but we always get what we’re after. It’s not much different than it was in 1991. We just have more experience now, and better gear!"

Since the initial release of the critically acclaimed Unruly Child in 1991, all the band members have successfully pursued accomplished careers in the music industry. Marcie Michelle Free, one of the world's finest singers of recent times, and most renowned transgender vocalists, first released a solo record as Mark Free, entitled Long Way From Love, in 1993 and then another solo record as Marcie Free, Tormented in 1996. Guitarist Bruce Gowdy and keyboardist Guy Allison also kept quite busy over the years. They produced two more Unruly Child records and participated in another World Trade album with drummer Jay Schellen (YES). They have also pursued other projects and their reputation as writers, performers, and arrangers is second to none with their experience working with the likes of Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Bobby Kimball (Toto), Doobie Brothers, Boz Scaggs, Air Supply, and The Moody Blues, to name a few.

The group, in its constant state of evolution, has generated an exciting new album reflective of their musical roots in contemporary and classic rock. With the return to the original line-up, they have discovered that while time may pass, some things never change.

Tracklisting:

"Living In Someone Else’s Dream"
"All Over The World"
"Dirty Little Girl"
"Breaking The Chains"
"Are These Words Enough"
"Will We Give Up Today"
"Beneath A Steady Rain"
"The Harder They Will Fall"

IN FLAMES Releases Lyric Video For 'Voices'

IN FLAMES Releases Lyric Video For 'Voices'

The official lyric video for the song "Voices" from Swedish melodic heavyweights IN FLAMES, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new album, "I, The Mask", which was released in March via Nuclear Blast (worldwide, excluding North America) and Eleven Seven Music (North America). The 12-track disc reunites IN FLAMES with Grammy-nominated producer Howard Benson (MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, MOTÖRHEAD) who also produced 2016's "Battles". Additionally, the album was mixed by Grammy Award winner Chris Lord-Alge (CHEAP TRICK, LINKIN PARK) and mastered by Grammy-winning mastering engeneer Ted Jensen (PANTERA, EAGLES, GUNS N' ROSES).

The album artwork was created by artist Blake Armstrong and depicts a unique interpretation of the band's mascot, The Jesterhead.

Guitarist Björn Gelotte told Overdrive about "I, The Mask": "With this album, it was me and Anders [Fridén, vocals] working super-close together in a little studio that we set up in L.A., working on every detail together, including the vocal lines and melodies to the guitar riffs, arrangements and everything in between. That's something that we hadn't done before. In the very beginning, it was more like, someone would have a riff and then we would all get together and jam it out in rehearsals and then we would start to build ideas on top of that and the very last thing we would ever do after we had recorded everything, is around four days of vocals. That system worked for us back then because we didn't know anything else, but we missed out on so much, so many good ideas that could have come from lyrical context, or a lyric vocal melody, so this time we approached things differently and when I look back, it's undeniable how much we've learned along the way. Finally, we've found other ways of working. [Laughs]."

Asked if this was the first time they had tried this writing method, Björn said: "We tried it a little with the last album, 'Battles'. We started working with Howard [Benson, producer], and he really helped us to open up with this approach to writing. We are very protective of what we do, so it was a little strange for us to begin with and we were very stuck in our ways thinking: 'The melodies should be this way, and the riffs should sound like this.' And it was the same with the vocals. Everything was really locked in tight and no room for change. The difference now is amazing. I get inspired by lyrics that Anders writes and we work off each other and this chemistry just happens. We've never done that in the past, and it's just so refreshing."

Björn went on to say that the recording process was much less hectic this time around. "We would work for about five, six hours a day in the studio and then another five to six hours at home to continue writing during the whole recording process, and that was just amazing," he said. "That's exactly why we feel really comfortable and confident about this record. We just had such a great experience doing this album and the transition from 'Battles' to 'I, The Mask' is so natural for us. I have to say the whole process really opened our eyes to many more possibilities going forward. Even though no management or labels have asked us to write another record, we feel that we just want to go back and work with these guys again as it was just such a positive experience where we really learned so much along the way. Normally for me, recording is a very tedious process that is time-consuming and at times very boring. For me, recording is just a means of getting on tour because it's all about touring and playing live. So, for me to want to go back to the studio was a really strange feeling. [Laughs]"

IN FLAMES recruited American drummer Tanner Wayne, best known for his work with UNDERMINDED, SCARY KIDS SCARING KIDS and CHIODOS, to sit behind the kit for the band for its 2018 and 2019 live appearances.

Wayne stepped into IN FLAMES following the departure of Joe Rickard, who played on "I, The Mask" and "Battles".

Tanner made his live debut with IN FLAMES in July 2018 in Brno, Czech Republic.

Longtime IN FLAMES drummer Daniel Svensson announced in 2015 that he was leaving the band to focus on his family life.

IN FLAMES' current lineup features American bassist Bryce Paul, who has been playing most of the shows with the group since longtime bassist Peter Iwers's November 2016 exit.

Listen To New BORKNAGAR Single 'The Fire That Burns'

Listen To New BORKNAGAR Single 'The Fire That Burns'

Norway's avant-garde metallers BORKNAGAR will release their new album, "True North", on September 27 via Century Media. The follow-up to 2016's "Winter Thrice" was once again mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. The disc's first single, "The Fire That Burns", can be streamed below.

BORKNAGAR founder and guitarist Øystein G. Brun comments: "Finally, the very first single from our upcoming album 'True North' is unleashed upon the world, entitled 'The Fire That Burns'. On the verge of releasing our 11th album, we're naturally bound to reflect some about our lengthy past, all the music we have created and all the fights we have fought. In the name of music. Still we are here after 25+ years, stand firm on our musical visions and ready to boot up for yet another musical journey — wherever that may lead in this vast and wondrous world. So when deciding the first song to be released, 'The Fire That Burns' was an easy pick. Not because the song represents 'True North' as a whole, neither because of the song represents some sort of musical peak. 'True North' is way too diverse for such a pick and please concept. But rather it was chosen because of the nature of the song. Musically it's true towards the musical heritage of BORKNAGAR, and last but not least, the song deals with 'The Fire That Burns'. Forever. The very spark that makes life a greater probability than death. Enjoy and rock on!"

BORKNAGAR is (from left to right in photo):

Øystein G. Brun - Clean and Electric Guitar

Lars A. Nedland - Keys and Vocals

ICS Vortex - Bass and Vocals

Bjørn Dugstad Rønnow - Drums

Jostein Thomassen - Lead Guitar
