SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS: New Trailer For 'Living The Dream Tour' DVDSLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS will release "Living The Dream Tour" on DVD+2CD, Blu-ray+2 CD, 3LP black vinyl, limited-edition 3LP red vinyl, digital video and digital audio on September 20 via Eagle Vision.
A new trailer for "Living The Dream Tour" is available below.
"Living The Dream Tour" was shot on location on February 20, 2019 in front of a rabid crowd at London, England's Eventim Apollo. It features Slash and company roaring through a highly charged two-hour set of tracks from all four of Slash's solo albums. The set includes "Call Of The Wild", "Driving Rain", "By The Sword", "Back From Cali", "Starlight", "World On Fire" and "Anastasia". There's a searing live version of "Shadow Life", as well as "We Are All Gonna Die" and "Doctor Alibi", during which lead singer Myles Kennedy switches vocal duties with bassist Todd Kerns. Watch a "first look" of the "Living The Dream Tour" as the band performs "Anastasia" below.
Earlier this year, Slash told Loudwire about the London concert filmed for the live release: "Whenever you do a live recording, all you can do is just wing it. You can hope that that particular show is not going to be the worst one on the tour. Very rarely do you plan to do a live record and it's the most magic show of the whole tour. That's a kind of luck that just doesn't really happen all that often."
He continued: "It was one of the best London crowds that I played in front of with THE CONSPIRATORS, for sure. It was a really great, great, great live [experience], the whole vibe of the thing was great, and it was great that it was at Hammersmith, which is just one of those historical venues. It was a good, energetic show, and I listened to the live recording, or at least some of it, and it's totally raw, and all the mistakes are in there. We don't really doctor any of it, so it's a pretty honest representation of what happened that night."
DVD/Blu-ray bonus feature: "Live In London" mini-documentary, including interview with Slash and Myles, plus behind-the-scenes footage of the tour.
SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS' 2019 worldwide tour in support of their most recent studio album "Living The Dream" continues with the launch of their North American headlining tour through July 15 in San Francisco. The trek will include festival stops at Heavy Montreal in Quebec on July 28 and at Lollapalooza on August 4 in Chicago, Illinois.
"Living The Dream Tour" track listing:
01. The Call Of The Wild
02. Halo
03. Standing In The Sun
04. Ghost
05. Back From Cali
06. My Antidote
07. Serve You Right
08. Boulevard Of Broken Hearts

13. Wicked Stone
14. Mind Your Manners
15. Driving Rain
16. By The Sword
17. Nightrain
18. Starlight
19. You're A Lie
20. World On Fire

"Living The Dream" was released in September via Slash's own label Snakepit Records, in partnership with Roadrunner Records.
"Living The Dream" is Slash's fourth solo album, and third with Slash and his bandmates Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kerns (bass and vocals) and Frank Sidoris (guitar and vocals). The artwork was created by renowned visual artist Ron English.
"It's a natural progression from 'World On Fire', for sure," Slash said of the new album. "I think it has a little more diversity — some of the ideas are not really what I would consider to be predictable." At the same time, he adds, "The record is also a bit more structured, with songs that are shorter and more to the point than last time." Kennedy concurred. "I don't know that there are as many of those sort of 'epic sonic journeys' that we took on the last record," he said. "Although there are songs that take you on a trip, like 'Lost Inside The Girl'. But overall, a lot of these songs — things like 'My Antidote', 'Read Between The Lines', 'Slow Grind' — they're pretty precise statements, and they definitely fall in line with the type of sound we're known for. There's a certain type of sonic calling card that we've developed over the years, and you can hear it front and center on this record."
"It's just a snapshot of where we're at," Slash continued, summing up "Living The Dream". "Which is what we're going for with each new album — to be present in what we're doing and come up with something that is representative of and reflects this moment in time." 1

Following the departure of Vadim Pruzhanov from the band last year, the keyboards of this new album were performed by Coen Janssen of symphonic metal titan EPICA, bringing a new dimension into a DRAGONFORCE album. Guitarist Sam Totman says: "We worked really closely with Coen on this new album. We are so happy with what he has brought into this new album. Every fan will be so happy to hear his majestic playing."
Drawing from a wide range of influences, the band's sound combines the singalong choruses of classic '80s rock with triumphant, uplifting melodies and fantasy-themed power-metal-inspired lyrics. As a nod to their passion for all things video-game related, the band frequently incorporates retro game sounds and melodies into their recordings and live shows.
Following the release of "Extreme Power Metal", DRAGONFORCE will begin a world tour in support of it. Li promises: "In this age where our music is easily accessible, I am not going to waste time trying to describe the sound of our new album. I'll let the music do the talking. However, what I can tell you is our upcoming tour will be our biggest in a decade. We have a massive epic production and a really special surprise for VIPs. We can't wait to see everyone out on the road."

BLACK CROWN INITIATE Sign With Century Media RecordsHaving released two critically hailed, fan-worshipped works of progressive death metal, 2014’s Wreckage Of Stars and its 2016 follow-up, Selves We Cannot Forgive, Black Crown Initiate have found a new label home with Century Media. Formed in Reading, Pennsylvania in 2012, Black Crown Initiate have created a stir that’s stretched far beyond the underground with a sound that is at once sweeping, chaotic and epic in scope and ambition.
“It’s an incredible time for us as a band,” says guitarist and vocalist Andy Thomas. “We definitely have the most cohesive lineup we’ve ever had and cliché as it sounds, we are just finishing writing what we feel is our best album. To be on a label like Century Media with the pedigree that it has and the enthusiasm the people behind it have is refreshing as well. It’s a new chapter and in many ways a new beginning for us.”
Joining mainstays Thomas, vocalist James Dorton and bassist Nick Shaw is original BCI guitarist, Ethan McKenna, whose time with the band dates back to its 2013 EP, Crippled Bull . That early recording created a stir for Black Crown Initiate and found them touring as an unsigned band with the likes of Behemoth, Goatwhore and 1349.
“In many ways it feels like things have come full circle,” says Thomas. “Ethan couldn’t be a full-time member back then because of personal obligations. In fact, he was the only guitar student of mine I told that I couldn’t teach anything else to!”
In addition, drummer Samuel Santiago, who has played with Canadian deathsters Beyond Creation and France’s Gorod, has taken up drumming duties.
Says Century Media Director Philipp Schulte: “Selves We Cannot Forgive was one of the most surprising and surely one of the most visionary albums of 2016, and a prime example for innovation and dynamics, progression and atmosphere, elegance and subtlety. We are very happy to welcome the phenomenal Black Crown Initiate to Century Media Records, and we are looking forward to a long-lasting relationship!”
Black Crown Initiate plan on returning to the studio for the band’s third album shortly after their upcoming tour of Europe with Rivers of Nihil, Møl and Orbit Culture which begins on September 20 and runs through mid-October. Before the band leaves for Europe, they will be previewing new music and giving fans a taste of what’s to come.
“In many ways, Black Crown Initiate has distinguished themselves as one of the most creative and compelling bands out there,” says Century Media US A&R Mike Gitter. “We’re excited to be part of their journey and can’t wait to see where it goes next.”
Said journalist Dom Lawson of Selves We Cannot Forgive: “This band’s mastery of dynamics, their refined use of quiet and contrast and the technical skill required to actually play this stuff all combine to make the perfect antidote to formulaic metal for the ADHD generation. Black Crown Initiate are progressive but still joyously metal as fuck.”

GHOST - Capital Chaos TV Posts 3-Camera Edit Of "Rats" From Heavy Montreal 2019Ghost performed at Heavy Montreal 2019 this weekend at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, Quebec. Capital Chaos TV has posted a 3-camera edit of the band performing their smash hit, "Rats".
The setlist on the night was as follows:
"Ashes"
"Rats"
"Absolution"
"Ritual"
"From the Pinnacle to the Pit"
"Faith"
"Cirice"
"Miasma"
"Year Zero"
"He Is"
"Mummy Dust"
"Dance Macabre"
"Square Hammer"
Encore:
"Monstrance Clock"
Jimmy Kay from Canada's The Metal Voice spoke to Ghost mastermind Tobias Forge, also known as Cardinal Copia, at this year's Heavy Montreal. Tobias spoke about the transition from being anonymous with make-up, to being unmasked, his singing influence and a potential concept album in the future.
On the transition from masked to unmasked
Forge: "I didn't feel like I was an unrecognized person before. I don't feel like it was a night and day because it has been so gradual over all these years. I have also spent many hours standing behind venues talking to fans. I don't feel like there is a major difference."
On his vocal influences
Forge: "I have a lot of vocal heroes and heroines that might not be super evident in my singing. Some of my influences are female. I love Tori Amos, I spent a lot of time listening to her and imitating her, even Debbie Harry. A lot of punk rock, Pink Floyd as well, specifically David Gilmour would have been the one I imitate the most. Bad Religion.... a lot of the vocal harmonies and my way of phrasing is very Bad Religion inspired."
On the possibility of doing a full blown concept album
Forge: "The next album will be more thematically, the same vein as the previous one, Prequelle, but I can definitely see doing a concept like a rock opera in the future. If I ever make a rock opera it would probably won't be a rock record, but more like classical. Like the stuff you would hear in a musical, more score."
Ghost has scored its third consecutive Top 10 single from the band's Grammy-nominated album, Prequelle, with "Faith" claiming the #10 spot this week at Active Rock Radio. "Faith" joins the album's first two singles, "Rats" and "Dance Macabre", both of which went all the way to the #1 spot on the chart, with "Rats" steadfast at #1 for a record-setting eight consecutive weeks. Check out the very provocative, just-released "Faith" lyric video:
Ghost's Ultimate Tour Named Death North American headline arena tour starts on September 13 in Bakersfield, CA and will see an expanded theatrical production, a striking stage set resembling a medieval cathedral with a backdrop of illuminated stained-glass windows. In addition to rich costumes, special effects, and a spectacular light show tailor-made for arenas, the Cardinal, the Ghouls and the Ghoulettes will take advantage of series of multi-level platforms and walkways to prowl around on while performing some of Ghost's fan-favorite songs from the band's albums and EPs catalogs. The set list will include fan-favorites "Square Hammer," "Cirice," "Ashes," "He Is," "Year Zero," Rats," "Mummy Dust, "Life Eternal, "Dance Macabre," and "Faith." Ghost is also set to preform at the upcoming Heavy MTL festival in Montreal.
The band recently announced a fall European leg of The Ultimate Tour Named Death. Kicking off on November 16 in Nottingham, England, and wrapping up on December 19 in Toulous, France, support will be supplied by All Them Witches and Tribulation.

K.K. DOWNING Says He Has To Accept The Fact That He Will Not Be Invited To Play With JUDAS PRIEST AgainFormer JUDAS PRIEST guitarist K.K. Downing will join ex-MANOWAR axeman Ross "The Boss" Friedman for several songs at this year's Bloodstock Open Air festival on August 11 at Catton Park, Derbyshire, United Kingdom. This will be K.K.'s first public performance since October 17, 2009 when JUDAS PRIEST played the final "British Steel 30th Anniversary" date on the "Nostradamus" world tour at Japan's Loud Park festival in Chiba City, Japan.
Asked by The Metal Voice is he is nervous about performing again after such a long time away from the stage, Downing said (hear audio below): "Absolutely not. It's just like riding a bike. It's not as though I haven't played guitar since quitting the band; I have. Once you learn those chops and you've toured extensively over the years — dare I say decades — it's very easy to do. But having said that, I'm always up for a challenge. And as much as the anticipation would be for probably me to jump up on there and play some PRIEST stuff, I said to Ross just earlier today, I said, 'I'm open to any suggestions, really. Let's just meet up and let's set up a jam the day before and let's see what we feel like doing. If we can mix it up and bring something a bit different to the table, it's all well and good. But we'll make those decisions when we get together and do the handshake and put the guitars on and have a blast, really, and, as I said, just jam it out."
Pressed about why it has taken him so long to perform live again following his split with PRIEST, Downing replied: "To be honest, the frank answer would be I really was expecting that at some point, there would be a willingness and an opportunity for everyone involved for me to step back in the band. You know what bandmembers are like — lots of things are said in haste, lots of things go down, inevitably. It's a relationship. So it's tough to hold together, for whatever reasons, but I thought probably at some point, it would be inevitable that a time would come around that would be my time to potentially re-enter the band and carry on where we left off. But it's proved not to be the case, so, obviously, I have to accept that and just move forward. So I'm looking forward to the opportunity immensely. And I do extend my gratitude to Ross and the band for inviting me up to special guest."
K.K. added: "The one thing I like about Ross and the band is, obviously, they're full-on metal, they're true blue, they're dedicated and it's good to be on stage with people that, obviously, not only think like me, people that have played like me through the decades."
Downing left PRIEST in 2011 amid claims of band conflict, shoddy management and declining quality of performance. He was replaced by Richie Faulkner, nearly three decades his junior.
Last summer, Downing revealed that he sent two resignation letters to his bandmates when he decided to quit JUDAS PRIEST. The first was described as "a graceful exit note, implying a smooth retirement from music," while the second was "angrier, laying out all of his frustrations with specific parties."
Downing later said that he believed the second letter was "a key reason" he wasn't invited to rejoin PRIEST after Glenn Tipton's decision to retire from touring.
Downing's autobiography, "Heavy Duty: Days And Nights In Judas Priest", was released in September via Da Capo Press.
A founding member of MANOWAR, Ross recorded six albums with the band before leaving after 1988's "Kings Of Metal".
ROSS THE BOSS is currently recording its new album for a 2020 release via AFM Records.
The band's latest album, "By Blood Sworn", was released last year to critical acclaim. 10

TOOL Officially Announces New Album, 'Fear Inoculum'TOOL has set "Fear Inoculum" as the title of the band's long-awaited new album. The follow-up to 2006's "10,000 Days" is due on August 30. The disc is expected to include the songs "Descending" and "Invincible", which the band has performed live at its recent concerts.
TOOL's new album was reportedly produced by Joe Barresi, and mastered by Bob Ludwig, who previously worked on "10,000 Days". Recording commenced in March 2018, with drummer Danny Carey laying down his tracks first and bassist Justin Chancellor recording his parts next.
Singer Maynard James Keenan attempted to explain the long gap between TOOL albums in a 2017 interview with "The Joe Rogan Experience". Speaking about his bandmates, the singer said: "Their writing process is so drawn out. And I'm sure there's a lot of reasons why the delay has been long. Their process is very analytical, and I think, at some point, maybe because so much time has gone by from the last album, there has to be a little bit of fear in here. [You think to yourself] 'Is this record gonna be as good as the last one?' The anticipation now is… Now the pressure is huge, so I'm sure there's some of that [that] goes into play."
Earlier in the month, TOOL's legendary 1991 demo tape, titled "72826", surfaced on YouTube, Apple Music, Google Play and Pandora. It marked the first time a TOOL release had been available to stream online.
The demo contains six songs, all of which eventually surfaced on the band's 1992 debut EP, "Opiate", and its first full-length album, 1993's "Undertow", including "Sober", "Crawl Away" and "Hush".
Back in 2017, it was reported that TOOL planned to make its back catalog available on streaming platforms ahead of the release of its new album.
The release of the demo is just the start, with TOOL planning to share its entire catalog via streaming this coming Friday, August 2.

Video: DEMOLITION HAMMER Performs At HEAVY MONTREALFan-filmed video footage of reunited cult New York thrashers DEMOLITION HAMMER performing on July 28 at the Heavy Montreal festival in Montreal, Quebec, Canada can be seen below.
DEMOLITION HAMMER was active between 1986 and 1994 and released three full-length albums — "Tortured Existence" (1990), "Epidemic Of Violence" (1992) and "Time Bomb" (1994) — all through Century Media.
A DEMOLITION HAMMER compilation, "Necrology: A Complete Anthology", was issued in 2008, also through Century Media. The set contained the band's entire three-album discography across two discs.
In March 2015, Century Media reissued "Tortured Existence" and "Epidemic Of Violence" on vinyl.
Asked how the DEMOLITION HAMMER reunion came about, guitarist Derek Sykes told Rock Hard magazine: "It's kind of something that we've been watching, or I've been watching, for a very long time. Our last show that we played, up until recently, was [more than] 25 years ago. I've kind of maintained web sites and things like that, and I've been just kind of listening to people talking about the band, and they started talking more and more and more and more. And I had the idea, went to Steve [Reynolds; bass/vocals] and said, 'Hey, what do you think? Maybe we [should] try it.' And he was, like, 'I don't know.' So it really just kind of sat for a while and I just sat in awe, looking at how many people were kind of into it. I didn't expect that at all. And then we reconnected with Jim [James Reilly, guitar] here, and it was great just all three of us hanging out and really just having a great time. And then we went to the Maryland Deathfest [in 2015]. And our friends' band SOLSTICE played one of our songs, and we saw the crowd went nuts, and that's really when it hit us: 'Holy shit! We can actually do this.' So we dusted off the guitars, dusted off our arms, and tried to re-learn stuff that we hadn't literally played in twenty years. And we got most of it right."
Added Reynolds: "Derek had been talking to me about it and said, 'Hey, there's really a lot of interest,' and I said, 'Yeah, you're crazy, you're delusional. No one cares about DEMOLITION HAMMER.' But I'm not somebody who's very connected with the Internet or Facebook or anything. He was persistent about it, and like he said, when we went to the Maryland Deathfest and I saw it with my own eyes how much interest there was, I said, 'Okay, you're not crazy. Maybe there is something about this.' Then when we talked to James about it and he was in, that's what really put us over the top." 5

SLIPKNOT's COREY TAYLOR Says Band Could Continue If He Ever Decided To LeaveCorey Taylor says he could see SLIPKNOT carrying on without him if he ever decided to leave the band.
The vocalist made the comments in the new issue of Metal Hammer magazine when reflecting on how much longer the masked Iowa act could go on for, exactly two decades after the release of SLIPKNOT's self-titled debut album.
Taylor said: "I mean, it's crossed my mind as the years have gone on. It's gotten harder to do this. You think about when the end is. No one thought we'd be doing it 20 years later.
"If I just couldn't do it anymore, I'd just stop, but that doesn't mean that the band would stop. If I can't do it, then someone might be able to take my place.
"I've thought about it before: if the right person came around and the guys were into it, then I'll just head off. We can't shortchange anyone."
Three years ago, Taylor clarified his comments in which he said that "might step away" from the band at some point in the future.
Asked on the "Someone Who Isn't Me" podcast if he thought he will ever get "tired of touring," Taylor replied, "Honestly, if you'd asked me a year ago, I would have said no. But… I'm just kind of starting to. I'm not young anymore. And as willing as my will is, I'm just beat up, man. I mean, I might as well be 60 in SLIPKNOT years, for Christ's sake."
Taylor added: "I don't know if I would retire. I might step away from SLIPKNOT at some point, just because the way the music is, and that sense of energy, I don't know if I could be able to do that into my 50s. And I would never want the band to feel like I was holding them back, because I just couldn't physically do it. So that means I wouldn't completely quit music; I would probably just step away from SLIPKNOT."
After his original comments were picked up by various web sites, Taylor took to his Twitter account to explain what he meant. He said: "I'M NOT QUITTING SLIPKNOT. Listen to/read interviews IN CONTEXT not out. I talk about time off. This is why I dislike 'cut n paste' journos."
SLIPKNOT's sixth album, "We Are Not Your Kind", will be released on August 9 via Roadrunner. The disc was once again recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Greg Fidelman, who engineered and mixed SLIPKNOT's 2004 album "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)" and helmed 2014's ".5: The Gray Chapter".
SLIPKNOT's "Knotfest Roadshow" headline tour of North America will feature VOLBEAT, GOJIRA and BEHEMOTH as special guests on all dates. Produced by Live Nation, the 29-city outing will kick off July 26 in Mountain View, California at Shoreline Amphitheater and continue through September 8 where it will conclude with a performance at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas. 23

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Previews New Music In Video From The RoadFIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has shared a new video from the road featuring audio snippets of several songs that will appear on the band's forthcoming eighth studio album. Check it out below.
The group is recording its new disc with its regular producer, Kevin Churko, in FIVE FINGER's hometown of Las Vegas.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH guitarist Zoltan Bathory recently said that the band's new LP could be its best yet. He said: "We have a little pie that we belong to in the musical spectrum, and within that, the grooves — there are these big, nasty grooves that feel just heavier and grimier, and that's kind of what's happening. The energy of what's in the band now is affecting this process."
He said the band is taking their time making the album and stated: "It will be what it will be. At the end of the day, we are in a fortunate situation where we can take as long as we want to. We can be in the studio forever if we wanted to."
According to Bathory, the recording process is going "way smoother and faster" than usual.
The drums on the disc were laid down by Charlie "The Engine" Engen, who made his live debut with the group during its fall 2018 tour with BREAKING BENJAMIN. He stepped in for original drummer Jeremy Spencer, who left the band in December due to a back injury.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH will embark on a U.S. headlining tour in the fall. The trek will start on November 1 with two special kick-off shows in the band's hometown of Las Vegas on November 1 and 2 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Support on the tour will come from THREE DAYS GRACE, BAD WOLVES and FIRE FROM THE GODS.

QUIET RIOT Performs Without FRANKIE BANALI At HEAVY MONTREAL Festival (Video)QUIET RIOT performed without drummer Frankie Banali at the Heavy Montreal festival in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Yesterday's (July 27) show apparently marked the second time ever that the band played without any of the members from its classic lineup: Banali, singer Kevin DuBrow, guitarist Carlos Cavazo and bassist Rudy Sarzo.
As with the May 17 concert at the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival in Richardson, Texas, Banali was replaced at the Heavy Montreal gig by Johnny Kelly (DANZIG, TYPE O NEGATIVE). Completing the group's lineup at the festival were James Durbin (vocals), guitarist Alex Grossi (guitar) and Chuck Wright (bass).
Banali resurrected QUIET RIOT in 2010, three years after the death of founding member and singer Kevin DuBrow.
QUIET RIOT initially featured the late guitar legend Randy Rhoads and went through some early lineup shifts before securing the musicians that recorded the band's multi-platinum-selling 1983 album "Metal Health".
Wright has been a part of QUIET RIOT, on and off, since 1982, having initially been involved in the "Metal Health" recordings (he played bass on the tracks "Metal Health" and "Don't Wanna Let You Go"). Grossi was in the last version of the band, from 2004 through 2007, before Kevin passed away, and was asked by Banali to return in 2010.
QUIET RIOT went through two vocalists — Mark Huff and Scott Vokoun — before settling on Jizzy Pearl in 2013. Pearl announced his exit from QUIET RIOT in October 2016 and was briefly replaced by Seann Nichols, who played only five shows with the group before the March 2017 arrival of "American Idol" finalist Durbin.

BLACK SHEETS OF RAIN Perform Unreleased New Song "Blood In The Water" Live; Video AvailableRising UK metal trio, Black Sheets Of Rain, have checked in with the following update:
"Check out this live video from Saturday's gig at The Alma! Many thanks to Ian Cassidy for filming it! The song is 'Blood In The Water', and it'll be on our first full-length album next year. Thanks to everyone who bought CDs and T-shirts at the gigs last week, it's very much appreciated and everything apart from the charity donation from the CDs goes towards funding the album, so thanks again!"
The band recently announced that Venom Inc. frontman Tony “Demolition Man” Dolan will be making a return appearance on the band’s forthcoming album, after contributing a guest vocal on the song “No Rest” from their debut EP, In The Eye Of The Storm.
The album, due for release in 2020, will feature a song cycle based on characters from the novels of acclaimed horror author A.S. Chambers.
Vocalist / guitarist, Rich Davenport, who previously played alongside Dolan in Atomkraft, says: “We were blown away with Tony’s contribution to 'No Rest', and when we started to plan our forthcoming album, we thought he would be ideal to play one of the central characters from AS Chambers’ books in the new material we’re writing. With 'No Rest', Tony delivered a spoken word piece, but on the new album he’ll also be singing, so we’re all excited to be working with him again. We’re also planning a special bonus track, which will be announced nearer the album’s release.”
Black Sheets Of Rain’s debut EP In The Eye Of The Storm was released in April via W.A.R. Productions.

METALLICA: Pro-Shot Video Of Entire Concert In Hämeenlinna, FinlandProfessionally filmed video footage of METALLICA's entire July 16 concert in the Finnish city of Hämeenlinna can be seen below. The show was attended by 55,000 people — about one percent of the country's total population. Ahead of the sold-out gig, the band donated 55,000 euros to the Finnish children's charity Hope Ry — one euro for every member of the audience.
All four members of METALLICA met with the charity organization before their concert, to learn more about their work which involves distributing clothing and other essential items to children in need, or families going through a crisis.
Eveliina Hostila, executive director of the charity, told Ilta-Sanomat that the money will be used to support the hobbies of over 200 children for a full year.
METALLICA's set included a Finnish-language song. Bassist Robert Trujillo and guitarist Kirk Hammett performed a cover of "Kuuma Kesä" ("Hot Summer"), originally written and recorded by the Finnish rock band POPEDA.
METALLICA's setlist was as follows:
01. Hardwired
02. The Memory Remains
03. Disposable Heroes
04. The God That Failed
05. The Unforgiven
06. Here Comes Revenge
07. Moth Into Flame
08. Sad But True
09. No Leaf Clover (followed by Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo solos)
10. Frantic
11. One
12. Master Of Puppets
13. For Whom The Bell Tolls
14. Creeping Death
15. Seek & Destroy
Encore:
16. Spit Out The Bone
17. Nothing Else Matters
18. Enter Sandman
The Hämeenlinna concert was part of METALLICA's "WorldWired" tour, which has played more than 130 shows across the world since its 2016 kick-off.
The San Francisco Bay Area metal giants have been touring in support of their latest album, "Hardwired… To Self-Destruct", which came out in November 2016.
Last November, drummer Lars Ulrich told The Mercury News that the trek could last through early 2020. 9

STRYPER's MICHAEL SWEET Talks 'Social Media Wars'STRYPER frontman Michael Sweet recently spoke to "The Herman Show" about the lyrical inspiration for "One Sided War", the title track of his 2016 solo album.
He said (hear audio below): "I've been writing songs lately based on the social media wars and words that are exchanged and how people are on social media. Everybody's got a voice. Because everyone has a Twitter account and a Facebook account, everyone feels that they have the right to say whatever they wanna say to anyone.
"We live in a world of spontaneity where someone reads something and then they instantly respond in anger to that person when they don't even know that person; they've never met that person," he continued. "And I'm guilty of it too — I've done it as well. The song 'One Sided War' is about that — when you get into a war with someone and then they continue the war and you wanna make peace and it becomes a one-sided war.
"There's a song called 'You Don't Even Know Me' on 'God Damn Evil', STRYPER's latest album, that's about a very similar subject — the Internet, social media, and you judge me, say these horrible things about me. You go on Blabbermouth, you go on these sites, and there's people just bashing people — just vile, second-grade juvenile stuff. And they don't even know the person. They've never met the person, they've never shared a drink with the person, or food with the person, or conversed with the person. They have no clue who that person is, but they say these horrible things about them. And you don't even know me. That's what that song is about."
Sweet will release his new solo album, "Ten", in September via Rat Pak Records. Guest musicians who appear on the disc include singer Todd La Torre (QUEENSRŸCHE), drummer Will Hunt (EVANESCENCE), bassist John O'Boyle, and guitarists Joel Hoekstra (WHITESNAKE, NIGHT RANGER), Jeff Loomis (ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE), Marzi Montazeri (EXHORDER, PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS), Gus G. (FIREWIND, OZZY OSBOURNE) and Andy James.
"God Damn Evil" was released in April 2018 via Frontiers Music Srl. 1

KIRK HAMMETT, ROBERT TRUJILLO And WHITFIELD CRANE Perform Classic Covers At Special Ontario Concert (Video)METALLICA members Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo, along with their good friends Whitfield Crane (UGLY KID JOE), Joey Castillo (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, ZAKK SABBATH) and Doc Coyle (BAD WOLVES, GOD FORBID), performed last night (Friday July 26) at Cosmopolitan Music Hall at Cosmo Music in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. Dubbed THE WEDDING BAND, they played classic covers from bands like AC/DC, BLACK SABBATH, Billy Idol, and more. Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be seen below.
As previously reported, The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto is hosting "It's Alive! Classic Horror And Sci-Fi Art From The Kirk Hammett Collection" from July 13, 2019 to January 5, 2020.
Hammett is an avid collector of classic horror and sci-fi movie posters. This exhibition features 90 works that provide insight into the evolution of horror and sci-fi films and how they have played upon contemporary societal fears. Hammett acknowledges his poster collection as a source of inspiration for his own musical creativity. The exhibition features film posters as well as collectible electric guitars, monster masks and sculptures.
Hammett told Exclaim!: "Toronto is horror city central. It's the great Northeastern horror capital, and I mean that. There's a big market for horror in Toronto, and I think Toronto realizes that too."
Hammett has been a collector of scary movie items since he was around five or six years old and the items span the entire history of horror films from early 20th Century films like "Frankenstein" to '70s and '80s slasher movies. His collection is considered to be one of the world's most prominent archives of the movie genre's history.
"The pieces that are picked are the pieces that have the most relevance," he said. "Also I have a tendency to lean toward pieces that are more illustrative and have a certain amount of visual appeal. A movie like 'Nosferatu' is really important because it's the very first vampire movie and there's hardly any material that has survived from the '20s."
Hammett released a coffee table book in 2012 called "Too Much Horror Business" that featured photos of his extensive collection of monster and horror memorabilia.
He displayed a portion of his collection in the "Kirk's Crypt" exhibition during the 2012 and 2013 Orion Music + More festivals.
The METALLICA guitarist is also known as the Fear FestEvil horror convention organizer.
