METALLICA's ROBERT TRUJILLO, KIRK HAMMETT Cover RAMMSTEIN's 'Engel' In Berlin (Video)

METALLICA's ROBERT TRUJILLO, KIRK HAMMETT Cover RAMMSTEIN's 'Engel' In Berlin (Video)

Robert Trujillo and Kirk Hammett played a cover version of RAMMSTEIN's "Engel" during METALLICA's July 6 concert at Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany. Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be seen below.

"Engel" was part of the fun and unusual feature METALLICA added to its shows on the band's recent tours: at each stop, Hammett and Trujillo have been covering songs from some of their musical heroes — often choosing songs that are far removed from the band's traditional metal sound. The "doodles," as the band refers to them in their setlists, have been showing up right before Trujillo's solo on "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth". The songs are pared-down interpretations — just bass and guitar and sometimes Trujillo singing in front of music stands.

METALLICA is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "Hardwired… To Self-Destruct", which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart, selling 291,000 copies in its first week of release.

The "WorldWired" tour has played more than 130 shows across the world since its 2016 launch.

Last November, drummer Lars Ulrich told The Mercury News that the trek could last through early 2020.

LACUNA COIL To Release 'Black Anima' Album In October

LACUNA COIL To Release 'Black Anima' Album In October

Italian metal veterans LACUNA COIL will release their new album, "Black Anima", on October 11 worldwide through Century Media Records.

Comments singer Cristina Scabbia: "Black Anima is all of us. It's you and it's me, it's everything we hide and fiercely expose to a world that's halfway asleep. It is the fogged mirror we are peering into searching for the truth. It's sacrifice and pain, it's justice and fear, it's fury and revenge, it's past and future… Human beings in the magnificence of a disturbing ambiguity. The black core that balances it all… as without darkness light would never exist. We proudly present to you our new work and can't wait to welcome you in our embrace. We are the Anima."

This past March, Scabbia said that LACUNA COIL's next album would be "heavy and dark." Her comments echoed those she made two years earlier when she said that LACUNA COIL's next disc could see the band pursuing a more aggressive musical direction, just as was the case with 2016's "Delirium". "I believe that it could definitely be even way heavier, because that's what we like to perform on stage," she told Metal Wani. "Of course, we like the ballads and the mellow songs, but we like better to perform songs that are heavier. And we love that music."

2018 marked the 20th anniversary of LACUNA COIL's debut. To celebrate the occasion, they played an exceptional show in January 2018 in London at the O2 Forum Kentish Town. The unique, one-time event was filmed and recorded for "The 119 Show - Live In London", which was released last November.

LACUNA COIL will make a number of festival appearances in summer and will embark on an extended European tour in the fall with ELUVEITIE and INFECTED RAIN.

Watch SEBASTIAN BACH Perform At Italy's ROCK THE CASTLE Festival

Watch SEBASTIAN BACH Perform At Italy's ROCK THE CASTLE Festival

Fan-filmed video footage of Sebastian Bach's July 6 performance at the Rock The Castle festival at Castello Scaligero in Villafranca Di Verona (VR), Italy can be seen below.

Bach recently issued an "open invitation" to the other members of SKID ROW's classic lineup to "get onstage and jam" during the vocalist's upcoming tour, in which he will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band's self-titled debut by performing the album in its entirety.

Asked if he has been contacted by any of his former bandmates about the upcoming tour, Sebastian told Consequence Of Sound: "I haven't heard back from them, would be my answer to you. I wish they could get along with my manager, Rick Sales, like everybody else does in the industry. What else can you do? I don't know what else to do. I'm 51, and this is the 30th anniversary of the first record I ever put out in my life. Would I like to celebrate it with the other four people who put it out? Yes, I would. But I'm also not going to wait around any longer — because I don't know how much longer I have, to be honest with you. I honestly don't know that."

During a June 6 interview with SiriusXM DJ Eddie Trunk, Bach invited "any original member in SKID ROW" — that is, drummer Rob Affuso, guitarist Scotti Hill, guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo and bassist Rachel Bolan — to "get onstage and jam" during his upcoming tour, which kicks off on August 29 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Affuso — who left SKID ROW in 1998 and claims to be "the only former member that keeps in contact with all former SKID ROW bandmates and is still good friends with them all" — subsequently responded to Bach on Facebook, writing, "Sure! I'll be there dude."

Bach replied to Affuso, writing, "OK, 2 outta 5 ain't bad. See you soon."

It is not currently known where Affuso will perform with Bach, although it seems likely that the guest appearance will take place during Bach's September 25 show at Sony Hall in New York City.

Affuso has previously reunited with Bach to perform classic SKID ROW songs on at least two occasions — a 2011 show in Poughkeepsie, New York where Affuso played "I Remember You", and a 2016 show in the same city where he played "Rattlesnake Shake".

In recent years, Bach has been a vocal proponent of a SKID ROW reunion, a prospect continually shot down by Sabo and Bolan, the group's founding members. In 2012, reunion rumors peaked after the British festival Sonisphere featured the band's logo prominently on a leaked poster, but Bach later told the Boise Music Examiner that his former bandmates "did not want to do it." For his part, Affuso has said that he would not rejoin SKID ROW unless Bach also returned to the group.

Bach parted ways with SKID ROW in 1996. Three years later, the group resurfaced with vocalist Johnny Solinger, who fronted the band until 2015. After an eight-month stint with former TNT vocalist Tony Harnell — who Bolan said last year was a "really bad match" that "just didn't fit" — SKID ROW recruited former DRAGONFORCE vocalist ZP Theart, who has toured with the group for the past three and a half years.

Theart will appear on SKID ROW's forthcoming Michael Wagener-produced studio album, which will mark both the group's recording debut for Golden Robot Records and the conclusion of its "United World Rebellion" trilogy.

During a June 15 interview with Finland's Kaaos TV, Sabo confirmed that he would not accept Bach's latest overture. "I'm working with my band," he said. "This is SKID ROW, and this is what I do."

Sebastian Bach's band is :

Drums: Bobby Jarzombek (HALFORD, FATES WARNING) (2005-2019)

Bass: Rob DeLuca (UFO, SPREAD EAGLE) (2005-2019)

Guitar / Backing Vocals: Brent Woods (VINCE NEIL, CHEVY METAL) (2012–2019)

BLINK-182 Already Has EP Planned Post-Album Release

BLINK-182 Already Has EP Planned Post-Album Release

According to The Pulse Of Radio, BLINK-182 is apparently planning to release an EP after the arrival of its new full-length studio LP, which is due out later this year.

The news comes courtesy of BLINK drummer Travis Barker, who was asked by fashion influencer Kerwin Frost in a recent interview about a track the band recorded with rapper Lil Uzi Vert and rapper/producer Pharrell Williams.

Barker explained: "BLINK just did a song with Uzi. That's the most mind-blowing thing ever — with Pharrell." He also said, "It's not gonna come out on the album — it's gonna come out probably on the EP that comes later this year."

BLINK recently shared a new song called "Happy Days". The track follows "Blame It On My Youth" and "Generational Divide" as the third offering from the trio's new LP, which is tentatively titled "Bojmir".

BLINK is currently on its 20th anniversary tour for "Enema Of The State", playing the entire 1999 breakthrough album from front to back. The band plays on its own in Holmdel, New Jersey on Tuesday (July 8) before resuming with tour partners Lil Wayne and Neck Deep.

MISERY INDEX Releases 'Hammering The Nails' Music Video

MISERY INDEX Releases 'Hammering The Nails' Music Video

MISERY INDEX's music video for the song "Hammering The Nails" can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "Rituals Of Power", which was released on March 8 via Season Of Mist The artwork for the disc was created by Raphael Gabrio and can be viewed below.

MISERY INDEX comments on the video: "We in the MISERY INDEX camp are pleased to present to you our video presentation for 'Hammering The Nails' as we, once again, descend upon European soil. The song encapsulates the ferocity of our live performance. We are looking forward to seeing all you fans and friends out at these festivals and shows! Let's grind!"

"Rituals Of Power" sees the powerhouse quartet unleash a barrage of ferocious death metal as violent as it is savvy. Their vicious vocals spit venom, laying bare the ills of a dystopian society gone mad. As rampaging new tracks like "New Salem", the title track, and "I Disavow" so brashly prove, "Rituals Of Power" is world-class modern extremity and MISERY INDEX only grows more powerful with time.

"Rituals Of Power" track listing:

01. Universal Untruths (2:35)

02. Decline And Fall (4:36)

03. The Choir Invisible (4:26)

04. New Salem (3:24)

05. Hammering The Nails (3:46)

06. Rituals Of Power (5:20)

Couple Filmed Engaging In Sexual Act During BEHEMOTH Concert

Couple Filmed Engaging In Sexual Act During BEHEMOTH Concert

BEHEMOTH frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski has shared a video of a couple engaging in a sexual act while in the moshpit during the band's performance Saturday night (July 6) at the Roskilde Festival in Roskilde, Denmark. In an accompanying message, Nergal wrote: "Well, I'm no veteran but I've seen things. I've seen a lot... yesterday we wrapped up a festival season at the legendary Roskilde Festival in Denmark. The show was really good, pretty tight and with a passionate response from local viking squad. I'm happy to see ANY reaction to our music really. I'm good with anything but indifference. I'm ok with a lil dose of violence, people throwing pieces of their wardrobe, ppl flipping me off, bulling me, girls showing titties... it's ALL good! But in my almost 30 year carieer I've NEVER seen a couple making out right in front of stage in the epicenter of the fuckin' pit! Holy shit! Half naked lady was kneeling in front of half naked dude blowing him for good 5-10 minutes while he was raising fists and singing along to our love songs! How cool is that hm?!? It feels good to know that BEHEMOTH is corrupting legions on soooo many levels! LOVE IS THE LAW, DEPRAVATION LEVEL PRO @devilutiondk"

Back in 2015, a British couple pleaded not guilty to behaving indecently by engaging in sexual activity, including oral sex, during a concert one year earlier in Hyde Park. The woman later told the court she was not engaging in oral sex, but was trying to help her partner to the toilet. They were both fined £1,000 and ordered to pay £3,500 in court costs after a judge said they should be "taught a lesson."

BEHEMOTH is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "I Loved You At Your Darkest", which was released last October via Metal Blade Records in North America and Nuclear Blast in Europe.

The band will support SLIPKNOT on the massive "Knotfest Roadshow" headline tour, which is set to traverse across North America this summer. VOLBEAT and GOJIRA will also join as special guests on all dates. Produced by Live Nation, the 29-city outing will kick off July 26 in Mountain View, California at Shoreline Amphitheater and continue through September 8, where it will conclude with a performance at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas.

SAMMY HAGAR Says DAVID LEE ROTH 'Refuses To Acknowledge' That HAGAR-Era VAN HALEN Was 'More Successful'

SAMMY HAGAR Says DAVID LEE ROTH 'Refuses To Acknowledge' That HAGAR-Era VAN HALEN Was 'More Successful'

Sammy Hagar says that David Lee Roth "refuses to acknowledge" that VAN HALEN "was even more successful" during Sammy's tenure with the band.

Hagar replaced David Lee Roth in VAN HALEN in 1985 and recorded four studio albums with the band — "5150", "OU812", "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" and "Balance" — all of which topped the U.S. chart. The highest-charting Roth-led VAN HALEN album was a No. 2, and it took until "1984" to achieve that. (2012's "A Different Kind Of Truth" also landed at No. 2.)

Asked about his so-called "rivalry" with Roth, Hagar told Planet Rock magazine: "It wasn't even a blip on my radar.

"I don't respect Dave's artistry, but I do think he's clever and a great showman and what he did with VAN HALEN in the early days was fantastic. VAN HALEN couldn't have made it without him.

"God bless Dave, but he refuses to acknowledge that VAN HALEN with me was even more successful than VAN HALEN with him, and that's very stupid of him. That'd be like me not acknowledging what he did for the band before I joined: that would be stupid, wouldn't it?"

Hagar also spoke about the circumstances that led to the end of his first stint with the band.

"We had eight years of [huge success], and then suddenly people in the band started changing… and it wasn't me and it wasn't Mike [Anthony, bass]," Hagar said.

"The 'Balance' record was like pulling teeth, things got very dysfunctional by then. Drugs and alcohol and insecurity and bad management killed that band."

You can read the full in-depth "Confessional" interview with Hagar in issue 15 of Planet Rock magazine, which is on sale now.

Hagar told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that his problems with Eddie Van Halen began during the sessions for "Balance", Hagar's last album with the group. "Eddie needs somebody to make decisions and a leader, y'know?" he said. "He's not a natural born leader kind of guy. And his brother [Alex Van Halen] was always the leader before — or Roth was the leader before — and when Roth left, his brother and him bumped heads so much, when I walked in it was like, 'Well, what does Sam wanna do?' y'know? So it became kind of like, yeah, I was making all the decisions, so then on 'Balance', all of a sudden, he didn't like my decisions and it was like really weird."

Hagar blasted his former bandmates in an interview in 2015, saying there was "no chemistry" between the members of the group's current lineup, including Roth. He said at the time: "They don't like each other. I mean, it's obvious. It's like a backup band with a guy out there in front. I bet they don't say five words to each other offstage."

Hagar, Anthony, Alex and Eddie Van Halen last teamed up in 2004 for a U.S. summer tour. In exchange for taking part in the tour, Anthony reportedly had to agree to take a pay cut and sign away his rights to the band name and logo.

Ex-JUDAS PRIEST Guitarist K.K. DOWNING To Perform With ROSS THE BOSS At U.K.'s BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR

Ex-JUDAS PRIEST Guitarist K.K. DOWNING To Perform With ROSS THE BOSS At U.K.'s BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR

Former JUDAS PRIEST guitarist K.K. Downing will join ex-MANOWAR axeman Ross "The Boss" Friedman on stage at this year's Bloodstock Open Air festival on August 11 at Catton Park, Derbyshire, United Kingdom.

Ross said in a Facebook post: "We The RTB Band are SO FUCKING EXCITED and honored to have KK Downing, an immortal Metal legend, joining us onstage in front of some of the greatest metal fans in the world at BLOODSTOCK UK."

Downing left PRIEST in 2011 amid claims of band conflict, shoddy management and declining quality of performance. He was replaced by Richie Faulkner, nearly three decades his junior.

Last summer, Downing revealed that he sent two resignation letters to his bandmates when he decided to quit JUDAS PRIEST. The first was described as "a graceful exit note, implying a smooth retirement from music," while the second was "angrier, laying out all of his frustrations with specific parties."

Downing later said that he believed the second letter was "a key reason" he wasn't invited to rejoin PRIEST after Glenn Tipton's decision to retire from touring.

Downing's autobiography, "Heavy Duty: Days And Nights In Judas Priest", was released in September via Da Capo Press.

A founding member of MANOWAR, Ross recorded six albums with the band before leaving after 1988's "Kings Of Metal".

SHINEDOWN Releases Animated Video For 'Monsters'

SHINEDOWN Releases Animated Video For 'Monsters'

SHINEDOWN has unveiled an animated video for "Monsters". The track currently sits at No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart for the second week in a row and has amassed nearly 15 million streams.

Animated by Toon53 Productions, "Monsters" explores the ever-present demons and self-sabotaging inner voices that we all battle.

"Monsters" recently became SHINEDOWN's 14th No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart, the second most in chart history, and continues the band's record of the most Rock Airplay Top 10s ever. Every one of SHINEDOWN's 25 consecutive singles has reached Top 5 on the Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart, an unparalleled achievement.

SHINEDOWN singer Brent Smith recently said that the band intends to film and share music videos for the remaining songs from its recent album, "Attention Attention", that have not been visualized yet.

Smith told The Pulse Of Radio that the group is setting aside a block of time to shoot footage for the rest of the clips. "We actually have 10 days in August where we're filming the band scenes for the remaining nine songs that we have left to do video footage on. Because the album is gonna be realized just like it was from the audio side, it's also gonna be fulfilled from a visual side. So beginning of next year, it's all gonna be filmed — the entire story."

SHINEDOWN has already released videos for four tracks from "Attention Attention": "Get Up", "Devil", "Human Radio" and "Monster". Smith told Billboard: "They all tell different stories that kind of link up with each other. There's a lot of characters you haven't met yet." He added that the band hopes to have the entire collection of videos finished by early 2020 so that they can be premiered as one complete film.

"Attention Attention" debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 album chart back in May 2018. The band is on the road for the summer leg of its 2019 world tour, which will hit Gilford, New Hampshire on July 3 with support from BADFLOWER, DINOSAUR PILE-UP and BROKEN HANDS.

Video: GREAT WHITE Performs At Colorado's FREEDOM FEST

Video: GREAT WHITE Performs At Colorado's FREEDOM FEST

Fan-filmed video footage of GREAT WHITE's June 29 performance at the Freedom Fest in Golden, Colorado can be seen below.

GREAT WHITE guitarist Mark Kendall recently confirmed to the "Music Mania" podcast that the band is working on new material with its latest addition, singer Mitch Malloy.

"We've been writing songs," Mark said. "In fact, I actually sent [Mitch] some music, with just the music. I had a pretty good arrangement on the song, and he sent this song back done — vocals, lyrics, everything, with a big, beautiful hook. I was in shock, 'cause I've never written with a singer where I just handed him music and he sent me a song back.

"He lives in Nashville, so I couldn't just call him and go, 'Hey, come over. I've got this great idea,'" the guitarist continued. "So we did it that way. Now, when we get down to crunch time, we will definitely be getting in a room with the band and working things out that way. But just temporarily, we're just kind of doing it with our phones and whatnot.

"But we were in shock. I played it for the band, and we were just, like, 'Holy God, man. Where is this guy from?'"

Kendall admitted that he "didn't know a lot about Mitch" before the singer joined GREAT WHITE. "And that's not to say he's not great," Mark explained. "When you're touring and touring and touring and you're making records, it's hard to follow everybody's career and all that. But he's got a bunch of solo albums; he's been around. And he's got a lot of fans. I mean, he's been on Jay Leno and stuff like this. But somehow he escaped my radar. People love him. He's been going to Europe for years. People know who he is. So it's not like we just grabbed this random dude off the street. I mean, this guy has fans. It's a joy, and he delivers our songs really well. And he really likes our music a lot. That means a lot too. He really digs the music. He's passed on CHICAGO. I think he was second in line with JOURNEY; [he] kind of got beat out by the Filipino guy [Arnel Pineda]. And I understand why. That guy sounds so much like [Steve] Perry, if you close your eyes… I mean, it's close. And that's what they wanted, so, of course, that worked out great for them."

According to Mark, he and his bandmates felt that Malloy was a more suitable vocalist for GREAT WHITE than Terry Ilous, who was fired from the group in July 2018.

"We feel like Mitch is a little bit better fit, not only image-wise but vocally," he said. "He delivers the songs in a way that's just more like the original. We don't wanna reinvent the songs. When we write new stuff, that's a different story. But you wanna deliver the hits well. People come down to hear that. Mitch does it a lot of justice, plus he puts on a real high-energy show — he really gets into it. And he's a natural frontman — he doesn't force anything. He talks to the crowd like he's talking to anybody. But he gets 'em right into the show from the very beginning of the show. It's just always a great night. He covers the stage, he gets into it, he loves what he does, and we're thrilled to have him in the band… He's a great guy — a great guy to be in a band with. He's got great energy. He's a very positive guy."

Ilous, formerly of '80s L.A. hard rockers XYZ, joined GREAT WHITE in 2010 after stepping in for touring vocalist Jani Lane (WARRANT).

The Ilous-led GREAT WHITE released two albums, 2012's "Elation" and 2017's "Full Circle", before Terry was shown the door.

This version of GREAT WHITE is not to be confused with JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE, which features original GREAT WHITE singer Jack Russell alongside Robby Lochner (FIGHT) on guitar, Dan McNay on bass, Tony Montana on guitar and Dicki Fliszar on drums.

ACE FREHLEY To Release 'Origins Vol. 2' In October

ACE FREHLEY To Release 'Origins Vol. 2' In October

Ace Frehley will release "Origins Vol. 2", the sequel to his 2016 collection of cover songs that inspired the former KISS guitarist, in October via Entertainment One (eOne). The disc, which will feature guest appearances by Lita Ford (singing "Jumping Jack Flash") and CHEAP TRICK's Robin Zander (singing HUMBLE PIE's "30 Days In The Hole"), is currently being mixed.

Asked in a brand new interview with Long Island, New York's News 12 if he still gets chills when he performs live for his fans, Ace said (see video below): "It feels great. It's great to be adored and worshipped. I mean, I'm used to it, but I still enjoy it. I just turned 68 in April, but I'm still having a great time. I'm actually having more fun now than I did in my 50s. I don't know what the reason is. Sobriety might have something to do with it. The fact that I'm in better shape. I'm a lot more creative now. I've done five albums [in the past decade]. And 'Origins Vol. 2' is done. It's just being mixed. That'll be out in October. So there's a lot of stuff going on."

Frehley recently told The Weekender that "Origins Vol. 2" will once again feature a LED ZEPPELIN tune, "Good Times Bad Times". "I'm really excited about 'Origins Vol. 2'," he said. "It's surpassed my expectations. I got Lita Ford singing 'Jumping Jack Flash', and she's amazing. She came to my home and I coached her for two days with vocals and she just [expletive] killed it. I also have Robin Zander singing '30 Days In The Hole' by HUMBLE PIE. I really wanted to do the HUMBLE PIE song, but I just couldn't cut it, vocally, because [Steve] Marriott's just too good of a goddamn singer. I just couldn't do justice to his vocals. But I remembered that I had bumped into Robin Zander years ago at a meet-and-greet and he had mentioned to me that he'd like to sing on one of my upcoming records, so I remembered that and gave him a call. And he killed it as well. He sounds like a young Marriott."

Released in April 2016, "Origins Vol. 1" debuted at No. 23 on The Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 16,000 equivalent album units. The CD featured KISS frontman Paul Stanley joining Ace on FREE's hit "Fire And Water"; Slash trading leads on THIN LIZZY's classic "Emerald", Ford singing and playing lead on THE TROGGS staple "Wild Thing", ROB ZOMBIE guitarist John 5 playing guitar alongside Ace on the classic KISS composition "Parasite", and PEARL JAM's Mike McCready playing guitar with Ace on KISS's "Cold Gin".

In a 2016 interview with The Aquarian Weekly, Frehley admitted that doing the first covers album was "the record company's idea. To be honest with you, initially, I wasn't that excited about the project, because I had just come off the high of the success of 'Space Invader', which is all originals except for a cover of 'The Joker'," he said. "It was almost, like, 'Okay, I'm going to go through the motions and get this out of the way and then jump into the studio for my next real studio album.' But I've gotta tell ya, man, once I started the process and started remembering the groups that influenced me, narrowing down which songs I thought were going to be best for the record, and then started the recording process; I really started getting more excited about it."

THE OFFERING Release "Ultraviolence" Music Video; European Tour Dates Announced

THE OFFERING Release "Ultraviolence" Music Video; European Tour Dates Announced

Boston’s The Offering are anything but orthodox. The high-flying quartet have a way of cleverly suffusing all their influences - from black and death to heavy and modern to thrash and power to nü and hardcore - into their story-like songs. Over time (and across many refinement sessions), The Offering have developed their all-in dynamic into a signature sound. Their debut album, Home, is set for a worldwide release on August 2.

After releasing “Failure (S.O.S)” (lyric video below) the band present their first video clip that was directed by JBAW Productions, check out “Ultraviolence” below.

Nishad George (guitar) on the video: “For ‘Ultraviolence’, we wanted to make a video that represents one of the reoccurring themes Alex sings about on Home, which is the war between the ears. To visually depict this, I wanted to emphasize the physical, emotional, and intellectual breakdown that happens when you lose the battle against yourself.

"We made a screenplay inspired by ‘The Most Dangerous Game’, but set in the inner forest, with each remaining bandmate representing one the aforementioned three aspects of humanity. This was incredibly hard to film as Alex put himself in a LOT of physical danger to pull it off.  We hope you enjoy it.”

The Offering partly tracked Home at Carriage House Studios in Stamford CT, a place where diverse pop, rock and metal artists recorded influential albums including Pantera, Fates Warning, Overkill, Deftones, BoySetsFire or Sugar. Home was then mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman (Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Bring Me The Horizon, Architects and many more).

Fredrik Nordström about Home: “This is the most crazy and insane music I ever worked with, I love it!”

Pre-order the album here.

Tracklisting:

“Waste Away”
“Lovesick”
“Ultraviolence”
“A Dance With Diana”
“Failure (S.O.S.)”
“Hysteria”
“Glory”
“Home”

"Failure (S.O.S.)" lyric video:

The Offering have announced a number of European shows including the legendary Wacken Open Air (Germany), Free & Easy in Munich and and FEZEN Festival in Hungary. More dates will be announced shortly.

Alexander Richichi (vocals) about coming to Europe: “Since our teens, we (The Offering) have heard rumors about the majesty of the European metal scene. Like a myth - stories of the grandness and the abundance of fans of the European festivals travel across the Atlantic to us, mocking us and reminding us that our scene is lacking. The Offering is humbly grateful for the opportunity to travel to historic festivals to play and share our art. This is a dream for most, if not every metal musician. We recognize our opportunity and will do everything to make it the best for you, our listeners. Let’s have some fun.”

Dates:

July
20 - Gävle, Sweden - Gefle Metal Festival
25 - Takarodó, Hungary - Fezen Festival
28 - Munich, Germany - Free & Easy (Werkstatt-Studio)

August
3 - Wacken, Germany - Wacken Open Air

VOIVOD Performs With Brass Quintet At MONTREAL INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL (Video)

VOIVOD Performs With Brass Quintet At MONTREAL INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL (Video)

Canadian metal innovators VOIVOD performed at the world-famous Montreal International Jazz Festival (Festival International de Jazz de Montréal) on June 30 at Club Soda. For the occasion, guitarist Dan "Chewy" Mongrain, who has been in VOIVOD for the past eight years, wrote an eight-minute arrangement for the brass quintet that joined the band onstage during the show for a special feature on "The End Of Dormancy" from VOIVOD's Juno award-winning album "The Wake" (2018). This was a world premiere, as VOIVOD had not played that song live before, and it is believed that no other metal band in the world had ever been joined by a brass quintet during a performance.

You can see video footage of the concert below.

"The Wake" is one of 40 albums which have made the Polaris Music Prize 2019 Long List. VOIVOD was also nominated for the "International Artist Of The Year" award at this year's Progressive Music Awards, which will be held on September 12 at the Underglobe in London, England.

"The Wake" came out in September 2018 via Century Media Records. The disc was recorded and mixed by Francis Perron at RadicArt Recording Studio in Canada. The album's artwork was once again created by VOIVOD drummer Michel "Away" Langevin.

VOIVOD and REVOCATION will join forces for a North American co-headlining tour in the fall. PSYCROPTIC, SKELETAL REMAINS and CONJURER will join as additional support.

DISTURBED Frontman Sings Israeli National Anthem During Band's First Concert In Jewish State (Video)

DISTURBED Frontman Sings Israeli National Anthem During Band's First Concert In Jewish State (Video)

DISTURBED frontman David Draiman sang the Israeli national anthem, "Hatikvah", during the band's concert in the country Tuesday night (July 2) at Rishon Lezion's Live Park.

According to The Jerusalem Post, the 46-year-old singer, who is of Jewish heritage, spoke to the crowd in Hebrew throughout the show and, at one point, donned a t-shirt with an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) insignia and proclaimed, "This is for all the IDF soldiers." Israeli flags were also flashed on the screen throughout the performance.

Although David has visited the country many times, this was the first DISTURBED concert in the Jewish state.

Both of Draiman's maternal grandparents were survivors of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, while many others on his mother's side were wiped out by the Nazis.

The DISTURBED song "Never Again", from 2010's "Asylum" album, was written about the Holocaust and calls out people who deny it.

The United States Holocaust Museum has featured Draiman in its "Voices On Anti-Semitism" podcasts.

In recent months, Draiman has been speaking out against the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, which calls for economic pressure on Israel to end the occupation of Palestinian land, grant Arab citizens equal rights and recognize the right of return to Palestinian refugees.

Earlier in the week, Draiman spoke to KAN radio, where he called BDS advocates "idiots" and "Nazis in suits."

Draiman has in the past battled with Twitter trolls who have harassed him about his sometimes-controversial views regarding Israel and its ongoing conflict with the Palestinians. Draiman has had frequent heated exchanges with followers on Twitter, some of whom believe that Israel is not blameless in the ongoing conflict with Palestinians.

MOB RULES To Release New Live Album, Beast Over Europe, In September

MOB RULES To Release New Live Album, Beast Over Europe, In September

Chart entry with their studio album Beast Reborn in Germany (#37) and Switzerland (#59), just back from two successful tours through the metropolises of Europe, 25th band anniversary and a worldwide loyal fanbase... reason to celebrate? Absolutely! Mob Rules let the corks pop in late summer with their first live album in 14 years: Beast Over Europe.

The fact that Mob Rules love their fans at least as much as the fans love their band becomes apparent when the six members of this power metal band storm onto the stage and perform in a way that you don't really experience very often. Not only the incredible energy of the band and of course the powerful songs are tearing their audience off their feet at every show - it is also the closeness to the people in front of the stage and the authenticity that makes this band worth being heard and seen. Capturing this atmosphere on a new live album can only be a logical consequence. So that the wealth of ideas for their shows can also be experienced on the live album, the band included their fans in the design process of the album artwork: They made an online call to share favorite photos from concerts or experiences with the band from the last two years. You can be curious about the result as Beast Reborn's artwork was voted one of the 100 best Heavy Music Artworks 2018.

Mob Rules fans will of course be richly rewarded for their efforts: The album contains about 75 minutes of concentrated live feeling. At the beginning the band didn't expect this to happen: "When we started, we hoped to release two or three albums with a renowned label and maybe play a great tour. Who would have thought that there would be NINE albums and HUNDREDS of concerts instead ... and our journey is still not over. Without our great fans, we wouldn't have made any of it - we are very grateful for that!" - Klaus Dirks, singer and co-founder of Mob Rules

Beast Over Europe will be released through SPV/Steamhammer on September 13 as CD DigiPak, download and stream. Pre-order here.

STATUS QUO Release "Roll Over Lay Down" Live Video From Down Down & Dirty At Wacken

STATUS QUO Release "Roll Over Lay Down" Live Video From Down Down & Dirty At Wacken

Last August, Status Quo released a pair of ‘twin’ live albums, Down Down & Dignified At The Royal Albert Hall and Down Down & Dirty At Wacken, via earMUSIC. You can now watch "Roll Over Lay Down" from the Down Down & Dirty At Wacken release.

On September 6, Status Quo will release Backbone through earMUSIC / Edel; the band’s 33rd studio album - the LP will be their 33rd 33rpm.

Some doubters said Backbone was a record that could not be made, but the 2019 lineup of Status Quo has been through a lot, they have chalked up 130 shows as a unit and travelled tens of thousands of miles. This is a group of musicians that is strong, that back each other up and are tighter than ever. Backbone features of a trio songs drawn from the classic partnership of Rossi / Young as well as contributions from all of the rest of the band.

The eleven track album was recorded at Francis' studio in the late months of 2018 and into this year. The sessions were initially just to keep the juices flowing, improvise and have fun. As the hours rolled on, songs stacked up, everyone began to believe that something special was happening. And so it proved. Even from within the group, there had been some resistance to creating a new record.

As Francis says, "This new material had to be seriously good. Quo have achieved so much and meant so much to too many people for the quality to slip now. Also, let’s face it, things have changed and we’re an easier target than ever.

"Losing Rick was hard to bear but, through Richie Malone, who was inspired to pick up a guitar by him, we can not only keep going but actually pick up the pace. The energy that he and Leon bring to Quo can’t be underestimated. I wasn’t sure I had another album in me but I couldn’t be more proud of ‘Backbone’. I hope the fans love it, but you can’t please everyone and I’m not going to start trying to now."

To have Backbone means to stand firm, to stand up for what you believe in. The title fits. The hundreds of songs recorded by Quo over half a century still resonate today, and the tracks on this album are a worthy addition to that incredible catalogue. A new Quo studio album is a cause for celebration, especially when it kicks like this one. And for the doubters? A Backbone is also a support, a unifying element that keeps things in shape. Underlying this new record are the core desires to keep creating, to be the best and to keep playing: these are the qualities that have kept Quo at the top for so long. Backbone will ensure that Francis Rossi and Quo keep standing proud. And, by naming the album Backbone, they’re ready for the 'Spinal Tap' headlines too!

Pre-order the album here.

DEADLAND RITUAL Feat. GEEZER BUTLER, MATT SORUM, STEVE STEVENS: Pro-Shot Video Of HELLFEST Concert

DEADLAND RITUAL Feat. GEEZER BUTLER, MATT SORUM, STEVE STEVENS: Pro-Shot Video Of HELLFEST Concert

Professionally filmed video footage of DEADLAND RITUAL's June 22 performance at Hellfest in Clisson, France can be seen below.

DEADLAND RITUAL is the new band featuring bassist Geezer Butler (BLACK SABBATH), guitarist Steve Stevens (BILLY IDOL, VINCE NEIL), drummer Matt Sorum (GUNS N' ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER) and singer Franky Perez (APOCALYPTICA).

DEADLAND RITUAL's setlist consists of several original tracks alongside classic songs from the members' previous bands, including BLACK SABBATH's "Symptom Of The Universe", "Neon Knights" and "Sweet Leaf", VELVET REVOLVER's "Slither" and BILLY IDOL's "Rebel Yell".

Speaking about the "supergroup" tag that has been attached to DEADLAND RITUAL, Butler said: "We don't class ourselves as a supergroup, 'cause… I don't know. It's a bit of a vacant term for me. We're just four blokes getting together, having fun at the moment and writing some good stuff. But so far, because Steve has been still on tour with Billy Idol, we've been having to write stuff in between these tours with Billy Idol at the moment. So we'll have more time to get everything together when his tour is finished."

DEADLAND RITUAL recently released its first two songs, "Down In Flames" and "Broken And Bruised". Both tracks, which were produced by Greg Fidelman (METALLICA, SLIPKNOT), were made available via Sonik Riot Records/AWAL powered by Kobalt.

"We're basically an independent band right now — no record deal yet, but there's some labels talking to us," Sorum said. "It's great we're out playing these new songs, 'cause once we go in and record them, they'll be live-tested, if you will, and then hopefully will go down on record as a really cool version of what we've been doing live."

Butler went on to say that there is no long-term plan for DEADLAND RITUAL at the moment. "We're just going to see how it goes," he said. "We've written seven songs up to now, so we have to get those recorded. We've got quite a few record companies interested. But at first, it was 'have a jam, and let's do some festivals.' But it seems to have gone beyond that, people are taking it more seriously now. So if things work out with the gigs that we do we'll carry on. I'm excited about it. I really like the music we're doing, not restricted to any kind of formula. And as I say, each track stands on its own, different in its own way. I'm really looking forward looking to it."

DEADLAND RITUAL made its live debut on May 28 at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California.

In 2010, Theatre Of Tragedy announced their break-up and drew a line under their impressive career with Last Curtain Call. In the middle of the 90s, Theatre Of Tragedy wrote music history with albums like Velvet Darkness They Fear and Aegis.

This year, the Norwegian artists return with a compilation of different remixes of their biggest successes and rise the splendour of former times. Remixed will be released on July 12 via AFM Records. Reputable artists like Das Ich, Icon Of Coil, and VNV Nation tasked songs like "Machine", "Lorelei" and "And When He Falleth" and revived those tracks in their own interpretation.

Check out "Storm" (Zeromancer Remix) below, now available on all digital platforms.

Starting with the remixes of German dark wave artists, numerous friends and companions dealt with the songs of the gothic rock band.

METALLICA: Pro-Shot Video Of 'The Unforgiven' Performance From London

METALLICA: Pro-Shot Video Of 'The Unforgiven' Performance From London

Professionally filmed video footage of METALLICA performing the song "The Unforgiven" on June 20 at Twickenham Stadium in London, England can be seen below.

METALLICA's "WorldWired" tour has played more than 130 shows across the world since its 2016 kick-off.

Last November, drummer Lars Ulrich told The Mercury News that the trek could last through early 2020.

The San Francisco Bay Area metal giants have been touring in support of their latest album, "Hardwired… To Self-Destruct", which came out in November 2016.

With dates already locked in through the fall, Ulrich was asked if he is tired of touring yet. He replied: "We have the luxury, and we are very fortunate, to be able to set a touring schedule that works really well for us. We kind of set boundaries. We have a two-week rule, so that after two weeks we come home and see our families and kids and get a sense of San Francisco. So, for about a decade, we've had a really good setup in terms of how we balance all of it. It takes longer to play the same amount of dates. But the good news is that our chances for not losing our minds — or for playing all the shows, physically, mentally — are much higher, because we have a pace that we feel is at the right level for us. So, it's good. We still have to go to Australia. We still have to go to Japan. We have a couple of other things planned after Europe."

Pressed about whether there is any chance the tour will reach into 2020, Lars said: "This may just dip into the beginning of 2020."

Hear JEFF SCOTT SOTO's Haunting Piano-And-Voice Cover Version Of AUDIOSLAVE's 'Like A Stone'

Hear JEFF SCOTT SOTO's Haunting Piano-And-Voice Cover Version Of AUDIOSLAVE's 'Like A Stone'

Legendary hard rock singer Jeff Scott Soto has teamed up with the self-proclaimed "one-armed keyboardist" Todd Waites to record a piano-and-voice cover version of the AUDIOSLAVE classic "Like A Stone". The track is available for free download at this location.

Soto tweeted earlier today: "Was honored to be asked and hired to sing this incredible song, Like A Stone, for my friend #ToddWaites @ToddWaites originally sung and written by the late, great @chriscornell with @Audioslave. Free download, enjoy!"

Jeff Scott Soto's career spans over thirty years. He was first introduced to the public as the vocalist for guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen's iconic first two solo albums before going on to front esteemed hard rock band TALISMAN. He is also one of the vocalists for the wildly popular TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, the lead vocalist for super group W.E.T. (featuring JSS alongside members of ECLIPSE and WORK OF ART), and creative visionary for the more metal leaning Soto, among many other musical activities he has been involved in. He also held a stint fronting Rock And Roll Hall Of Famers JOURNEY and was one of the vocalists for the officially sanctioned QUEEN tribute QUEEN EXTRAVAGANZA. His incredible voice has led to many an artist inviting him to do guest lead vocals or background vocals on their albums, including, but not limited to, STRYPER, Joel Hoekstra, SAIGON KICK, Fergie Frederiksen, Lita Ford, STEELHEART, and more.

In 1994, he released his first solo outing, "Love Parade", followed by the acclaimed "Prism" (2002), "Lost In The Translation" (2005), "Beautiful Mess" (2009), "Damage Control" (2012) and "Retribution" (2017).

As a professional musician/keyboardist, Todd has toured all over the U.S. and beyond playing concerts in front of tens of thousands of people each year. He's been featured in Keyboard magazine, various news outlets, and even had the great honor of helping David Bryan, keyboardist for multi-platinum band BON JOVI, learn how to compensate when he suffered a finger injury. He has appeared on numerous CD releases (both domestic and international), a double live DVD, and is a main character in a motivational book "I Work With Crabby Crappy People", published in 2012, in which he also wrote/recorded the digital soundtrack.

Waites lost his complete arm and shoulder to cancer at 14 years of age, followed by nearly two years of rigorous treatments, plus another surprising diagnosis of cancer (thyroid) in late 2014.

Was honored to be asked and hired to sing this incredible song, Like A Stone, for my friend #ToddWaites @ToddWaites originally sung and written by the late, great @chriscornell with @Audioslave. Free download, enjoy!https://t.co/OeuRhXlbwU— Jeff Scott Soto (@jeffscottsoto) July 6, 2019
