On March 16, 2017, the Graham Bonnet Band played a very special show in Tokyo, Japan. The set included songs from the band’s repertoire alongside a number of Rainbow, MSG, Impellitteri, and Bonnet solo classics. It was a unique setlist and show, a chance for fans in attendance to experience a number of hidden classics from Graham Bonnet’s repertoire that covers his 40+ year career in the rock ‘n roll business.

Live In Tokyo 2017 can be considered an accompanying piece to last year’s Parole Denied - Tokyo 2017 release from Alcatrazz. To refresh your memory, founding Alcatrazz members, Graham Bonnet (vocals), Jimmy Waldo (keyboards) and Gary Shea (bass), reunited after 33 years for a unique series of shows in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, Japan in March 2017, during Graham Bonnet Band's tour of Japan. Frontiers released footage from these shows last December.

Frontiers now have both performances from these two bands, both fronted by the iconic Graham Bonnet, available to fans for their listening and viewing pleasure.

Says Graham Bonnet: "In March 2017, the Graham Bonnet Band went to Japan for our first headline dates as GBB. We also did a full Alcatrazz set that same night featuring Gary Shea, which was released last year by Frontiers, titled Parole Denied and included a bonus album of some Alcatrazz rarities. For the GBB part of the show, we put together a great setlist covering the main eras of my career. It was a great night and this live album and video look fantastic... I’d say it’s the definitive Graham Bonnet Band live/video release. Great light show, visuals and sound. This was and is intended to be the companion piece to the Alcatrazz Parole Denied live release taken from the same night. As a bonus, we have included a revised studio version of the GBB song 'The Crying Chair'."

Metallica have posted pro-shot footage Of their Master Of Puppets classic “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” from their July 6th show at Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany.

Metallica announced last week the new book, The ABCs Of Metallica, with the following message:

Fan-filmed video footage of PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS, the project led by the former PANTERA and current DOWN/SUPERJOINT frontman, performing on July 13 at the Rockmaraton festival in Dunaújváros, Hungary can be seen below.

Last month, Anselmo spoke to Graspop Metal Meeting about his decision to play a number of PANTERA songs during the current European tour with PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS.

"Honestly, it was not even part of the gameplan until Vince [PANTERA drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott] died," he said. "And then, after Vince died, it was, like, 'Ugh…' A lot of people got in touch with me, and they expressed, they said, 'Phil, if you were ever gonna do PANTERA songs, this would be the time.' And for the first time, I listened, because before, I was very hesitant to do any of that. But now it feels… I guess the tribute feels necessary.

"Some people ask me, 'Is playing those old songs, is it difficult? Does it bring up this memory or that memory?'" he continued. "It can, for sure, but that's why I concentrate on the young people in the audience going crazy, man."

Asked if there is "a measure of closure" in performing PANTERA songs live again after all this time, Anselmo said: "There's no closure — there's no closure — but I would say it feels very good to see this new group, young people enjoying the PANTERA songs. It feels great."

Pressed about what was so special about PANTERA that seemingly inspired generations of music fans and musicians, Anselmo said: "Every now and again in the history of whatever — music — there's a perfect storm, and I think PANTERA was a perfect storm for its time. And it's pretty obvious that the people that were watching us back in the '90s have procreated, and their kids have grown up listening to PANTERA. So it's the meeting of the generations, man. And the reason why it's important? I don't know. I don't know, man."

Up until his death in June 2018, Vinnie remained on non-speaking terms with Anselmo, whom the drummer indirectly blamed for the death of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, who was his brother.

Vinnie Paul and Dimebag co-founded PANTERA. When PANTERA broke up in 2003, they formed DAMAGEPLAN. On December 8, 2004, while performing with DAMAGEPLAN at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag was shot and killed onstage by a troubled schizophrenic who believed that the members of PANTERA were stealing his thoughts.

Vinnie Paul died of dilated cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart, as well as severe coronary artery disease. His death was the result of chronic weakening of the heart muscle — basically meaning his heart couldn't pump blood as well as a healthy heart.

Vinnie was buried on June 30, 2018 next to his brother and their mother, Carolyn, at Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.

Ozzy Osbourne's wife and manger, Sharon Osbourne, is featured in a new, in-depth interview with Larry LeBlanc for Celebrity Access Encore. During the extensive interview, Sharon discusses Ozzy's recent health scare, his No More Tours II tour, her first encounter with Black Sabbath, and much more.

An excerpt follows:

Larry LeBlanc: British rock was pretty tame until the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Cream, and Led Zeppelin arrived.

Sharon Osbourne: "Yep."

LeBlanc: Here we are 50 years later.

Sharon: "I know, and it’s incredible. Listen I think it’s brilliant that they have got the bridge in their name. It’s lovely for them. They deserve it. They really, really do deserve it because I was just so pissed off at the Grammys this year because they gave them a Lifetime Achievement Award, but wouldn’t give it to them on the TV show that we all know as The Grammy Awards (on CBS). They did it at a separate (stand-alone) ceremony (“Grammy Salute To Music Legends”) which goes out on another network (PBS) later on. I wouldn’t let Ozzy go because I just thought it was shocking what they did to them. So I wouldn’t let Ozzy go."

LeBlanc: Black Sabbath had occult lyrics in their songs, and they scared both music fans and critics alike, but they really never have had full credit for being one of the influential, pioneering heavy metal bands.

Sharon: "No. And they wanted to give it to some pissy fucking ceremony that they had. Listen there were artists there (George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic, Sam and Dave, Dionne Warwick, Julio Iglesias, Donny Hathaway, and Billy Eckstine) that got awards that deserved it too. But I just thought because Sabbath - their career spanned 50 years and they are still selling records today - their catalog still sells and their last record that was out 6 years ago was #1 in many countries worldwide - so the other artists they were honouring had great careers, and deserved to be honoured but they still didn’t have the careers that Sabbath had. So not to put them on the proper (TV) show, it was like, “How dare you?” I was so angry. I just thought, “Fuck you. I am not going to give you the honour of having Ozzy at your shitty ceremony.”

LeBlanc: The debut Black Sabbath album of 1970 was a watershed moment in heavy rock.

Sharon: "Yeah, that’s right. Yeah. And you tell me albums that were made 50 years ago that still sell. There are a handful of artists that are blessed with that. It’s an incredible feat for any artist who’s album still sells 50 years later. It’s a gift. It should be celebrated."

German a cappella metal band VAN CANTO has released the official music video for its cover version of the AC/DC classic "Hells Bells". The song is taken from VAN CANTO's seventh studio album, "Trust In Rust", which came out last August via Napalm Records.

Since 2006, they have brought pure vocal power to the metal world. Now made up of seven members, VAN VANTO's "Trust In Rust" covers a wide stylistic range, from melodic to bombastic, showcasing the band's takes on ballads, hard rock ballbreakers and speed metal anthems. Covers, ranging from HELLOWEEN's "Ride The Sky" (featuring HELLOWEEN's Kai Hansen) to the aforementioned "Hells Bells", give listeners a completely fresh glimpse at the vocal crew. The sound of "Trust In Rust" reflects VAN CANTO's varied experiences on the road with unbroken power and passion for the human voice in heavy metal.

Singer Stefan Schmidt told Metal Hammer that VAN VANTO is "still the only a cappella metal band" in existence, more than a decade after the group's inception. "I don't know if that's a good thing," he said. "Maybe people think we're doing it so well that they don't want to try it, or they think it''s rubbish and steer clear of us."

Schmidt went on to say that VAN CANTO's a cappella approach opens more creative doors than it closes.

"We have that freak factor, we have a style not everybody likes, but we wouldn't have tried it for [more than] 10 years if nobody cared," he said. "We're living the dream — as long as we’re playing shows and people turn up to listen to us, we must be doing something right."

QUEEN + ADAM LAMBERT kicked off their North American tour Wednesday night (July 10) at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Never known to rest on their laurels, QUEEN on this "Rhapsody" tour unveiled a stage show as experimental and rule-defying as the hit-packed QUEEN back catalog. The band has worked with the creative partners behind the eye-popping "News Of The World" 2017 tour — Ric Lipson of Stufish Entertainment Architects handling set design; Rob Sinclair on lighting design; and Sam Pattinson of Treatment Studio behind the video content — to develop an unmissable show.

Lipson said: "QUEEN + ADAM LAMBERT's 'Rhapsody' tour will, once again for them, expand the parameters of what a live music experience can be. This new show promises to be their most spectacular yet, an innovative and interactive celebration of the continued power of QUEEN's music."

The tour follows an acclaimed run of 10 sold-out shows at the MGM Park Theater, Las Vegas in September 2018. Stop-offs include some of the most history-packed venues in the U.S. and Canada, including The Forum in Los Angeles (the last venue the original lineup played in North America on September 15, 1982) and New York City's Madison Square Garden (the site of past QUEEN glories, including a memorable performance from QUEEN + ADAM LAMBERT on July 17, 2014). The soaring success of "Bohemian Rhapsody" — the Freddie Mercury/QUEEN movie that has become the biggest-grossing music biopic of all time — has proven that the public's love for QUEEN remains as strong as ever.

Since Adam Lambert first shared the stage with QUEEN for the 2009 "American Idol" final, his dynamic performances have reinvigorated the band and delighted fans worldwide. Singer/lead guitarist Jacob Cade has launched a new band, The BRKN, and today unveils their first official video for the song "Your Existence". 

"Making the video was amazing," exclaims Cade. "It was amazing finally being able to fulfill my own vision for a music video. Kyle and his guys of Digital Myle are super talented. They made every one of our wishes come true and brought many different ideas that enhanced the video even more. I couldn’t have picked a better crew to work with. One of my favorite parts of the whole video shoot was watching Bailey’s dad put together the set for the warehouse shot! He was moving things left and right with the forklift, quite a sight to see! Destroying the chair with the axe was also a favorite of mine! We even had fans come up to us and ask for autographs when we were shooting the Union Station bits. Above all I had a great time hanging out with the dudes in the band all day. Such a great experience, can’t wait for the next one! 

Featuring Cade, rhythm guitarist Kick Stevens, and drummer Mike Bokenkamp, The BRKN will be appearing at Rockfest in Cadott, Wisconsin, on July 20th - on a bill also featuring Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Five Finger Death Punch, and Evanescence, among others, with new music coming out shortly, as well.  

“Couldn’t be more excited for this new project and record to come out!,” exclaims young Jacob. “Meeting Mike and Kick was such a blessing. For the first time I feel like this is exactly where I’m supposed to be and can’t wait for the fans to hear the new music. We’ve added more to the live show and filled up the sound immensely. It’s like a dream playing with these guys. All it really needs now is an audience which will be at Rockfest on July 20th! Perhaps the biggest show I’ve had in my career. A bit nervous but more excited than anything.” 

From the beginning, Cade has surrounded himself with exceptional talent, and continues to do so - first working with producer Michael Wagener on an EP, ‘Hunger,’ The BRKN is now working on new material with producers Glenn Sawyer and Rich Veltrop. But despite the name change, Cade is in charge of writing all the material for The BRKN (as well as continuing to handle all singing and guitar duties). 

And others have recognized Cade’s talents, as he has previously worked with the likes of Paul Taylor from Winger, Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger from Halestorm, and Rachel Bolan from Skid Row, and has already shared the bill with some of rock’s biggest names, including Steel Panther and Bobaflex. 

With a new band, a new video, and new single on the horizon, fans will get a chance to see what all the buzz is about on July 20th, when The BRKN rock Rockfest.

Fan-filmed video footage of KISS's July 11 concert at the O2 Arena in London, England can be seen below.

According to Billboard, the first North American leg of KISS's "End Of The Road" tour grossed $58.7 million and sold 518,395 tickets.

The trek kicked off on January 31 in Vancouver and played an additional 42 shows throughout the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up on April 13 in Birmingham, Alabama

All but five dates grossed at least $1 million and all but seven sold at least 10,000 tickets. The tour's biggest showing was at New York's Madison Square Garden on March 27, where KISS grossed $1.947 million and sold 13,359 tickets.

The rest of 2019 will see KISS playing three more dates in Europe, an additional 26 in North America, nine final shows in Australia and New Zealand, and five more in Japan.

The "End Of The Road" tour is expected to continue throughout 2020.

KISS frontman Paul Stanley recently said about the "End Of The Road" tour and stage production: "People say is this bittersweet? No. If the tour is anything like this stage, it's totally sweet. We always try to raise the bar — that's just for us — but when other bands would see us, they would feel they had to up their game. Let me tell you something: everybody better start working out, because we're upping the game that much more. This is absolutely mind-bogglingly good. It's totally KISS. And I'll be looking for you on the 'End Of The Road' tour."

KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer told Australia's Hysteria Magazine that the group's farewell tour would be "the biggest" one the band has ever done "in terms of production." It will be "a whole new thing for KISS," the guitarist said. "It's just gonna be the bombastic show KISS has always been famed for."

The lineup features the current version of the band — Stanley, Thayer, bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons and drummer Eric Singer.

TRIVIUM is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "The Sin And The Sentence", which was released in October 2017 via Roadrunner. Recorded with producer Josh Wilbur (LAMB OF GOD, GOJIRA) at Santa Ana, California's Hybrid Studios, the LP features the band's first recordings with drummer Alex Bent, who joined TRIVIUM in 2016.

In an interview with That's Not Metal Podcast, TRIVIUM frontman Matt Heafy spoke the choices he and his bandmates have made in their varied back catalog that has led to "The Sin And The Sentence".

"We've always liked to test the boundaries of what we can do as a band and as TRIVIUM," Heafy said. "[While making 'The Sin And The Sentence'], we said to ourselves, 'This has to be the greatest record we've ever made or there's no point in carrying on.' That's one of the things we said; it's very intense. Another thing we said is, 'This album has to make everything make sense.' Another thing we said was, 'Let's just make the kind of music that we wanna hear as fans of metal.' If we were guys not in TRIVIUM, what's the record we would wanna hear? Let's make stuff that, we don't care if people are gonna love it or hate it; let's just make this thing."

Matt also addressed the fact that it has been difficult for TRIVIUM's core trio — Heafy, guitarist Corey Beaulieu and bassist Paolo Gregoletto — to keep a drummer in the last few years, prior to the addition of Bent less than three years ago.

"The drumming is what the band is built upon, it's the foundation for which all the music is built upon, and if you don't have a strong foundation for a house or a building, it eventually collapses," Matt explained. "And I'm so thankful that the stars finally aligned, after eight records, to find the guy that we needed to find. And I think that when people hear Alex, it's not a question of 'Why?' It's more like an observation, like, 'Oh, I see you did it again, but I know why.' Because he's that freakin' good."

RATT singer Stephen Pearcy and bassist Juan Croucier recently confirmed that the band is planning to release new music in 2020.

"It's natural for us to, obviously, record," Croucier said during an appearance on the June 25 edition of "Trunk Nation LA Invasion: Live From The Rainbow Bar & Grill" on SiriusXM. "But [the current version of RATT has] only been together just about a year next month. And at that, we had a little bit of lag time, 'cause Stephen had to get his knee fixed. So we just wanna get the band out there. I think it's a mutual thing — we wanna get out there and play more shows, get the band in the right condition. And invevitably we're gonna go ahead and record."

Added Stephen: "Yeah, we wanna play new music. Whether we release a song or two, and maybe we'll do a video or some podcast. We're gonna do something."

This past May, Pearcy told Sleaze Roxx that he and Juan will be the primary songwriters of any new RATT music. "You know, 'Lack of Communication', 'You're In Love' and all these other songs that we co-wrote together, so we're going to try along those veins for songwriting," he said. "And we'll see what happens. I have plenty of ideas. Juan's got plenty of ideas and we'll see what the other guys have to offer down the line."

RATT's current lineup includes Pearcy and Croucier, along with drummer Pete Holmes (BLACK 'N BLUE) and guitarists Jordan Ziff (RAZER) and Chris Sanders (BRITNY FOX, KNIGHT FURY).

In January, Pearcy underwent knee surgery. The operation came three months after two disastrous RATT shows that saw the 62-year-old singer incapacitated to the point where he had trouble remembering the words to some of the band's biggest hits.

Pearcy later apologized to the RATT fans, saying in a statement that he was "dealing with a pain-management issue due to a bad knee." He added that he "made the critical error of adding alcohol to my pain meds while on stage" at the September concert in Huntington, New York "and it destroyed my performance."

RATT played its first show of 2019 on May 4 at the Domination México festival in Mexico City.

Gardner's second solo album, "Your Place In The Sun", was released on May 31 via Pavement Entertainment.

Like her 2017 debut self-titled solo album, the new LP is a collaboration with her husband, guitarist/producer Justin James, who has previously worked with STAIND, COLLECTIVE SOUL and TYKETTO.

"Your Place In The Sun" combines modern rock elements with the classic sound Janet has become known for in her decades of female-fronted and influential fury.


Gardner announced her departure from VIXEN in January, saying in a statement that it was time for her to step aside and let drummer Roxy Petrucci and bassist Share Ross "pursue their vision for the future of VIXEN."

Gardner, Petrucci and Ross are considered to be part of VIXEN's classic lineup, along with founding guitarist Jan Kuehnemund, who died of cancer in October 2013.

Gardner contributed lead vocals to VIXEN's most commercially successful studio albums — "Vixen" (1988), "Rev It Up" (1990) and "Tangerine" (1998) — as well as the group's latest release, last year's live album "Live Fire".

In January 2018, Gardner underwent surgery to remove blood clots in her brain, a condition known as a subdural hematoma.

While Gardner was recovering from her surgery, VIXEN played a show in Durant, Oklahoma in March 2018 with a fill-in singer, Lorraine Lewis of FEMME FATALE. This past January, Lewis was announced as Gardner's official replacement.

A Black Sabbath fan’s mission to meet his idols succeeded beyond his wildest dreams after he was given VIP access at a Birmingham tribute event.

Prison officer Alex Woodford found himself rubbing shoulders with guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler as the band’s ‘heavy metal bench’ and Black Sabbath Bridge were unveiled in the city. His good fortune on June 26 followed a mini-disaster in February when the lifelong Sabbath fan’s car caught fire as he travelled to Birmingham for an earlier exclusive viewing of the bench, where Tony Iommi was the special guest.

Alex, who lives in Littlehampton, Sussex, said: “I was absolutely distraught when my car broke down halfway through my four-hour journey to Birmingham back in February. I was stranded by the side of the road holding my ticket and had to go home knowing this great event was going on without me. But now I’m still pinching myself that I finally made it to Birmingham for the latest event and ended up meeting and chatting to Tony and Geezer face-to-face. I keep looking at the pictures because I can’t believe it’s happened, and it’s made memories that will stay with me for a lifetime.”

Alex, aged 40, travelled to Birmingham the night before the June event to make sure he didn’t miss it, visiting Ozzy Osborne’s former home in Aston and the Crown pub in the city centre where the band played their first gig. He arrived early for the event to get a front row space and began chatting to Mike Olley, general manager of Westside Business Improvement District (BID), which was organizing the event. Before he knew it, he had been co-opted to help out and was invited behind the scenes as Tony and Geezer set sail on a narrowboat to the canal bridge renamed in honour of the band.

Alex explained: “I was there when they arrived and chatted with Geezer after the unveiling. I helped to guide the VIPs into position and was then invited along to the private drinks afterwards and got to speak to Tony. He was great, a real gentleman, and chatted to me even though there was a room full of people waiting to talk to him. He and Geezer signed my vinyl - it was incredible, I just couldn’t believe it was happening.”

Mike Olley, of Westside BID, said: “We could tell that Alex was a true Black Sabbath fan and when we heard about his heart-breaking journey in February we just had to help. The bench and bridge are a tribute to both Black Sabbath and the passion of the amazing fans who have made them into the legends they are today, so bringing Alex together with Tony and Geezer really embodied the spirit of what we are trying to celebrate here in Birmingham.”

Westside BID worked closely with the Canal & River Trust charity and Birmingham City Council to have the bridge over Birmingham’s Broad Street renamed as 'Black Sabbath Bridge'. At the same event the metal bench featuring cut-outs of the band’s members was installed on top of the bridge.

Brutal death metal behemoths Disentomb have unveiled a music video for their song "Indecipherable Sermons Of Gloom". The track is off of the group's monstrous, devastating, and genre defining new album The Decaying Light, which is out now on Unique Leader Records.

The Decaying Light is the follow up to Disentomb's 2014 album Misery, and contains 13 slabs of uniquely obliterating extreme metal. The album shows the band truly coming into their own and cements their place as one of the most singular and exciting bands in the genre.

Guitars for The Decaying Light were tracked by band guitarist Jake Wilkes, drums and bass were recorded by Joe Haley (Psycroptic), and vocals were tracked by Dan Field at Sledgehammer Studios. Mixing and reamping for the effort were done by Disentomb bassist Adrian Cappelletti, and mastering was done by Colin Davis at Imperial Mastering (Deeds of Flesh, Devourment).

Artwork for The Decaying Light comes from the incredible Nick Keller with the layout and design coming from Steve Crow of Condemned.

The band commented on the effort, "These 13 tracks combined make up an album we have always wanted to write and have been on the path to writing since the birth of Disentomb 10 years ago. The Decaying Light solidifies a unique sound we have worked to carve out, 13 tracks of dissonant Brutal Death that we feel is our most personal and accomplished work to date. The addition of Adrian on bass has helped Disentomb reach new levels of songwriting and cemented our sound. We understand five years is a long time between albums, especially for touring bands, and we thank our fans for their patience."

Canadian independent Gothic/symphonic metal artist Cecile Monique has released “Break,” her latest single and music video.

The video was filmed on location at Toronto’s The Imaginarium, an immersive escape room crafted by former set designers in the Canadian broadcast industry.

“When we were scouting locations for the Break video and stumbled upon The Imaginarium, I knew instantly that their Grand Wilshire Hotel escape room would be the perfect location for the shoot. As soon as we walked in, we all felt like we were on the set of a Stephen King movie! It just had the perfect, chilling atmosphere and so many impressive little details that made it the perfect complement to the feel of the song,” says Cecile Monique of the video shoot.

The single will also be released to streaming platforms and will feature a previously-unreleased bonus remix.

“The Break remix showcases an alternate version of the song that highlights a more industrial, ambient take with a hint of darkwave, which definitely channels my gothic roots in a new way. This is the first time that I’m featuring a remix of one of my original songs and I hope that it will also be a way for new listeners of other styles of music to encounter my work.”

Cecile Monique’s debut album, Genesis, is also available on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play and all major digital platforms worldwide. Australia's Greystone Canyon have premiered their music video "Path We Stray" off the band's Wild West inspired debut album While The Wheels Still Turn released during 2018 via Rockshots Records (EU/NA) and Hellfire Records (AU). "The song starts with some huge rhythmic percussion providing the backbone for Richard's Steve Vai inspired melody.  Sounding similar to something Megadeth may have done in the early '90s with a chugging verse and pre-chorus key change before shifting to another big chorus. The song deals with the subject matter of where we go after this life. The song ends with some dark solo guitar harmonies disappearing into a phaser."

In the ‘70s and ‘80s, Australia gave the world great hard rock/metal acts like AC/DC and Rose Tattoo. Now, joining those Aussie giants of rock is Greystone Canyon.

The band released their debut album While The Wheels Still Turn on March 9th, 2018, in Europe, U.S.A, and Canada through Rockshots Records and on Hellfire Records in Australia on March 12th, 2018.

New Zealand based thrash metal trio, Alien Weaponry, have release a music video for their single, "Blinded"

The song is physically available on the almost sold out Ahi Kā 7 Inch Single (A-side: “Ahi Kā”, B-side: “Blinded”) now and talks about the difficulty of relationships. It focuses on how hard it is to reconcile and see through all the confusion when you’re a teenager and travel around the world to play your music while trying to keep a relationship working. "The song has very personal meaning for me (Lewis), but we wanted the video to leave things more open, so people can interpret it their own way. Piotr and Dwayne have really captured the notion of altered realities that we were going for, and we hope people will find their own messages in the images and the music," says Lewis de Jong.

Alien Weaponry have announced their next run of dates in the US and Canada. The band will join forces with legendary metal bands Black Label Society and The Black Dahlia Murder for a month long tour this fall. The trek kicks off September 11 in Ventura, CA and concludes on October 12 at the inaugural Exit 111 Festival in Manchester, TN. A complete list of dates is below. Following those dates, the band has scheduled a string of headline dates. They start October 13 in Kansas City, MO and run through October 26 in Seattle, WA.

Emerging from the shadows of eastern Poland back in 2015, black metal band Batushka have established themselves as one of the modern era's most powerful and evocative bands. Harnessing the fire and fury of arcane black metal and channeling it through the reverberant grandeur of ancient rituals of worship, the band's debut album Litourgiya stood apart from the extreme metal hordes: a monument to originality, depth and dark mysticism that swiftly cast its spell over the metal underground and beyond.

Named after an Old Church Slavonic word for "God," Hospodi enhances all the unique qualities that made the band such an instant phenomenon, while offering an entirely distinct and fresh sensory experience. "The whole album is a concept based on the Liturgy Of Death, the prayers for the dead, and Orthodox funeral rites and dirges," said the band. Formed by guitarist Bill Hudson (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, I Am Morbid, ex-U.D.O./Dirkschneider), vocalist Christian Eriksson (ex-Twilight Force), and drummer Patrick Johansson (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, ex-W.A.S.P.) in late 2017, the lineup was quickly completed by Mikael Planefeldt (bass) as well as keyboardist Jimmy Pitts.

After yesterday's exclusive premiere on the "Ken Bruce Show" (BBC Radio 2), BLACK STAR RIDERS are thrilled to share their brand new single, "Ain't The End Of The World", out today. The track is taken from the band's forthcoming fourth album "Another State Of Grace", set for release on September 6 via Nuclear Blast, and it is accompanied by a sharp and unconventional animated video, which can be viewed below.

"Ain't The End Of The World" is yet another example of BLACK STAR RIDERS' skillful songwriting and distinctive sound. The track displays the band's unique sonic dimension, in which Scott Gorham's guitar intertwines with Christian Martucci's, the rhythmic section solidly sustains the melody throughout the song, and Ricky Warwick's powerful and raw vocals harmoniously bind music and lyrics.


Frontman Ricky Warwick comments: "'Ain't The End Of The World' is trademark BLACK STAR RIDERS. Showcasing the dual guitars of Christian Martucci and Scott Gorham perfectly. It's a song of hope, positivity and seeing the light at the end of a dark tunnel in a world of uncertainty."

Longtime supporter Joe Elliott, vocalist of DEF LEPPARD, says: "I've been an ardent supporter ever since they started their journey having moved away from being THIN LIZZY and becoming a legitimate band in their own right. For me, this is by far their best effort to date."

BLACK STAR RIDERS consists of Ricky Warwick (lead vocals, guitar), Scott Gorham (lead guitar) and Robert Crane (bass) along with recent additions Chad Szeliga (drums) and Christian Martucci (lead guitar).

Guitarist Damon Johnson announced his exit from BLACK STAR RIDERS in September, but continued performing with the band until the end of the group's U.K. tour in early December.

"Heavy Fire" was a worldwide success, reaching position No. 6 on the U.K. chart, No. 11 on the German chart, and No. 91 on U.S. Current Top Albums chart.

German dark metal band, Lacrimas Profundere, have released a video for "The Kingdom Solicitude", a track from their upcoming Bleeding The Stars album, out on July 26 via Steamhammer/Oblivion/SPV. Watch the video below, and pre-order the album here.

“This new record is like a new beginning for us” guitarist and band leader Oliver Nikolas Schmid explains. He reclaimed their drummer Dominik Scholz and got Julian Larre on board as a new vocalist. “I cast aside the shackles of the last years, in search of my musical roots, my dream to be a musician, breaking down Lacrimas Profundere to their very essence along the way - for the sake of music. This includes my brother and songwriter Christopher, with whom I started this madness of a band in 1993.”

The album was produced by Kristian ‘Kohle’ Kohlmannslehner, the cover artwork - featuring shades of deep crimson - was again created by Brazilian artist Elton Fernandes. Asked about their telling album title, Oliver says the following: “We read up on the big bang theory a bit. When something huge is created, there is always blood and tears involved somewhere in the process. And voilà: the album’s title was born!”

On September 6, STATUS QUO will release "Backbone" through earMUSIC/Edel; the band's 33rd studio album – the LP will be their 33rd 33rpm!

Some doubters said "Backbone" was a record that could not be made, but the 2019 lineup of STATUS QUO has been through a lot, they have chalked up 130 shows as a unit and travelled tens of thousands of miles. This is a group of musicians that is strong, that back each other up and are tighter than ever. "Backbone" features of a trio songs drawn from the classic partnership of Rossi/Young as well as contributions from all of the rest of the band.

The 11-track album was recorded at Francis's studio in the late months of 2018 and into this year. The sessions were initially just to keep the juices flowing, improvise and have fun. As the hours rolled on, songs stacked up, everyone began to believe that something special was happening. And so it proved. Even from within the group, there had been some resistance to creating a new record.

As Francis says: "This new material had to be seriously good. QUO have achieved so much and meant so much to too many people for the quality to slip now. Also, let's face it, things have changed and we're an easier target than ever.

"Losing Rick was hard to bear but, through Richie Malone, who was inspired to pick up a guitar by him, we can not only keep going but actually pick up the pace. The energy that he and Leon bring to QUO can't be underestimated.

"I wasn't sure I had another album in me, but I couldn't be more proud of 'Backbone'. I hope the fans love it, but you can't please everyone and I'm not going to start trying to now."

To have "backbone" means to stand firm, to stand up for what you believe in. The title fits. The hundreds of songs recorded by QUO over half a century still resonate today, and the tracks on this album are a worthy addition to that incredible catalogue. A new QUO studio album is a cause for celebration, especially when it kicks like this one. And for the doubters? A "backbone" is also a support, a unifying element that keeps things in shape. Underlying this new record are the core desires to keep creating, to be the best and to keep playing: these are the qualities that have kept QUO at the top for so long. "Backbone" will ensure that Francis Rossi and QUO keep standing proud. And, by naming the album "Backbone", they're ready for the "Spinal Tap" headlines too!
