PAUL STANLEY On Possibility Of Guest Appearances By ACE FREHLEY And PETER CRISS During 'End Of The Road' Tour: 'That Door Is Open'

PAUL STANLEY On Possibility Of Guest Appearances By ACE FREHLEY And PETER CRISS During 'End Of The Road' Tour: 'That Door Is Open'

KISS frontman Paul Stanley says that it's still possible that original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss will make guest appearances during the band's "End Of The Road" tour.

"Who knows?" he said during a recent interview with the "Torg And Eliott" morning show on 96.3 WLVQ in Columbus, Ohio (hear audio below). "I have to say that door is open, but it's nothing that I contemplate daily. We're 45 shows into a sold-out tour, and it's going to continue. And it's a celebration, not of any lineup of the band — it's a celebration of everything we've accomplished with our fans. And that's not limited to any particular people. So whatever happens, happens. But this lineup in particular — Eric's [Singer, drums] been playing drums for over 25 years, I think, and Tommy's [Thayer, guitar] been in the band for 18 years, so we have a pretty good stability and tenure of this lineup."

Frehley recently said that while he has still not been approached to be a part of "End Of The Road", he is not ruling out being involved in some capacity. "I've offered my services, and they just haven't made the decision to bring me back," he told Oklahoma's KATT Rock 100.5 radio station. "And that's okay, because I'm having a lot of fun as a solo artist. But I also am concerned about the fans as well. I wanna give the fans the biggest bang for their buck, and they're not getting it at this juncture.

"They've had this lineup with Tommy and Eric for 15 years, and they announced they were doing the 'End Of The Road' tour, and that it was gonna be bigger and better than anything they've ever done in the past, and they gave the impression that maybe me and Peter might be involved, and this and that," he continued. "Then they just come out and pretty much do the same set they've been doing for years. So I don't know. It is what it is. I do my thing, and Paul and Gene [Simmons] are doing theirs."

According to Billboard, the first North American leg of KISS's "End Of The Road" tour grossed $58.7 million and sold 518,395 tickets.

The trek kicked off on January 31 in Vancouver and played an additional 42 shows throughout the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up on April 13 in Birmingham, Alabama

All but five dates grossed at least $1 million and all but seven sold at least 10,000 tickets. The tour's biggest showing was at New York's Madison Square Garden on March 27, where KISS grossed $1.947 million and sold 13,359 tickets.

The rest of 2019 will see KISS playing 26 dates in Europe, an additional 26 in North America, and eight final shows in Australia and New Zealand.

The "End Of The Road" tour — the initial European leg of which began in Leipzig, Germany on May 27 — is expected to continue throughout 2020.

TIM 'RIPPER' OWENS Calls Iconic Horror Writer STEPHEN KING 'A Loser'

TIM 'RIPPER' OWENS Calls Iconic Horror Writer STEPHEN KING 'A Loser'

Tim "Ripper" Owens has slammed Stephen King as a "loser," saying that the famed horror writer has "lost" him as a fan.

Earlier today, the former JUDAS PRIEST frontman posted a GIF of two NHL fans with paper bags over their heads and tweeted: "Wow reading Stephen King tweets! Hahahahaha what a loser!!! This is the fans he has lost, including me. Hahahahaha. At least something he is writing know [sic] is scary"

After a Twitter user responded, "Checking the Stephen King vs. Ripper success meter......", Owens fired back: "Who said anything about success. I don't like his tweets! If you don't like mine, GOOD fucking bye"

Owens, who regularly tweets in support of President Donald Trump's policies, was likely objecting to King's incessant criticism of America's 45th president.

The writer hasn't kept his opinion of Trump a secret. This past December, King called for a bipartisan effort to remove the president. More recently, King said that it was "impossible" to watch the new HBO mini-series "Chernobyl" without thinking about Trump. "Like those in charge of the doomed Russian reactor, he's a man of mediocre intelligence in charge of great power — economic, global — that he does not understand," King tweeted.

Back in 2016, Owens weighed in on the U.S. presidential race, saying that Trump was perhaps what America needed to move the country forward. Claiming that he wasn't a Democrat or a Republican ("I'm in the middle," he said), Owens explained that he couldn't vote for Hillary Clinton because of "the way they tax people." He went on to say that America "had eight years of really bad" under President Barack Obama and opined that "a lot of American people" were "just trying to figure out something other than what [Obama] was doing."

Owens revealed in a 2012 interview that he was voting for Mitt Romney in that year's election.

On May 20, Owens tweeted "Investigating the investigators... I LOVE IT" in an apparent response to reports that Attorney General William Barr was carrying out Trump's wishes to "investigate the investigators" who launched the years-long investigation into the Trump campaign's possible ties to Russia.

Listen To New NORTHLANE Song 'Talking Heads'

Listen To New NORTHLANE Song 'Talking Heads'

"Talking Heads", a new song from Sydney, Australia metallers NORTHLANE, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band's fifth studio album, "Alien", which will be released on August 2 via UNFD.

For a band that has traditionally focused on wider issues in the outside world, "Alien" is easily the most personal statement of NORTHLANE's career.

NORTHLANE vocalist Marcus Bridge states: "The song talks about the insecurities and anxiety that come with growing up in a violent home with drug addicted parents. That trauma had made it difficult to express my thoughts and ideas in the past, both emotionally and creatively."

Bridge adds: "We started working on this song pretty early in the process and I think writing it actually started to erase a lot of that insecurity, helping me open up a lot more for the rest of Alien. I think it's important to know that there are a lot of people who feel the same way. I hope with this song and the issues talked about on rest of the album, that people will start to feel comfortable opening up about their past, turning it from a weakness to a strength in the process."

While some longtime listeners might assume that the title "Alien" is a continuation of the space and futuristic themes that have characterized previous NORTHLANE albums, it's instead a reflection of the alienation Bridge felt as a child "who grew up in a weird, unusual household and who was bullied at school because of it."

Produced by the band itself, the album was recorded at Chris Blancato's studio in Sydney, where NORTHLANE recorded their first EP, 2010's "Hollow Existence". Bridge did vocals at Sydney's Electric Sun Studios, where the quintet made its 2011 debut album, "Discoveries".

For a band marking its tenth anniversary in 2019, "Alien" is a bold leap forward; the work of a group fighting its way out of a corner by moving forward rather than looking back. Their previous three albums may have debuted in the Top 5 in Australia — with "Node" landing at No. 1 before going on to win an ARIA Award for "Best Hard Rock Or Heavy Metal Album", an accolade also awarded to "Mesmer" — but NORTHLANE is in no mood to play it safe.

"Alien" track listing:

01. Details Matter

02. Bloodline

03. 4D

04. Talking Heads

05. Freefall

06. Jinn

07. Eclipse

08. Rift

09. Paradigm

10. Vultures

11. Sleepless

Those eager to see NORTHLANE live won't have to wait long. They will embark on a North American headline run throughout August and September with ERRA, CURRENTS and CRYSTAL LAKE. October will see them tour New Zealand before returning to Australian home soil for their national headline tour supported by COUNTERPARTS, SILENT PLANET and VOID OF VISION. NORTHLANE's European headline tour in November and December is supported by SILENT PLANET and VOID OF VISION.

Watch TOOL Perform New Songs 'Descending' And 'Invincible' In Berlin

Watch TOOL Perform New Songs 'Descending' And 'Invincible' In Berlin

Quality fan-filmed video footage of TOOL performing two new songs, "Descending" and "Invincible", on June 2 in Berlin, Germany can be seen below.

"Descending" and "Invincible" are both expected to appear on TOOL's follow-up to 2006's "10,000 Days", which is due on August 30.

TOOL's new album was reportedly produced by Joe Barresi, and mastered by Bob Ludwig, who previously worked on "10,000 Days". Recording commenced in March 2018, with drummer Danny Carey laying down his tracks first and bassist Justin Chancellor recording his parts next.

Singer Maynard James Keenan attempted to explain the long gap between TOOL albums in a 2017 interview with "The Joe Rogan Experience". Speaking about his bandmates, the singer said: "Their writing process is so drawn out. And I'm sure there's a lot of reasons why the delay has been long. Their process is very analytical, and I think, at some point, maybe because so much time has gone by from the last album, there has to be a little bit of fear in here. [You think to yourself] 'Is this record gonna be as good as the last one?' The anticipation now is… Now the pressure is huge, so I'm sure there's some of that [that] goes into play."

The effort will contain tracks originally featured on the band's 2005 self-titled debut EP as well as pre-production recordings of songs that later appeared on the group's 2007 debut album, "The Cleansing".

"Rare Ass Shit!" track listing:

01. Ending Is The Beginning

03. About A Plane Crash

04. Distorted Thought Of Addiction

05. Destruction Of A Statue (live)

06. No Pity For A Coward (pre-production demo)

08. Girl Of Glass (pre-production demo)

10. The Price Of Beauty (pre-production demo)

11. Green Monster (pre-production demo)

SUICIDE SILENCE released its self-titled album in February 2017 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The CD was produced by Ross Robinson, who has previously worked with KORN, SLIPKNOT, LIMP BIZKIT and SEPULTURA, among others, and was mixed by Joe Barresi (KYUSS, MELVINS, TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE).

The controversy over the album's sound — featuring a more melodic and clean singing style, in the vein of acts like DEFTONES and KORN — caused one disgruntled fan to launch a petition to stop the record coming out.

We’d now like to reveal that the tracks from our 2005 Self-Titled EP will be the first 5 songs on our upcoming “Rare Ass Shit release that will be available to purchase digitally / stream next month. Video Premiere: AMON AMARTH's 'Mjölner, Hammer Of Thor'

Video Premiere: AMON AMARTH's 'Mjölner, Hammer Of Thor'

"Mjölner, Hammer Of Thor", the new Roboshobo-directed video from Swedish death metallers AMON AMARTH, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "Berserker", which was released on May 3 via Metal Blade Records. The disc was recorded at Sphere Studios in North Hollywood, California with producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with ANTHRAX, STEEL PANTHER, URIAH HEEP and STONE SOUR.

"The previous album was a concept album, but we didn't want to get into a situation where every album has to be a concept record, so this is different," stated frontman Johan Hegg. "We wanted to step away from that and look at being a little bit more diverse, with the lyrics and everything else. I got ideas from lots of different things, from history stuff and mythological sources. Sometimes you just get something in your head and there doesn't have to be a bigger meaning behind it — sometimes it's just a great metal lyric that fits with a great metal song. And these are fucking great metal songs.

"For me, this is AMON AMARTH 2.0," Hegg continued. "I think what we've done here is give ourselves the space to explore other parts of our musicality and who we are as a band. If you're content with where you're at, what's the point of continuing? We always want to come up with new ideas and find new ways of doing things and to create bigger and better shows and really try to improve every aspect of what the band is. We want to try to keep growing and to do this for as long as we have the possibility to do so, because this is the best fucking job in the world."

Hegg told Revolver magazine that the only lyrical idea he had before the music was done was a song called "The Berserker At Stamford Bridge".

"A friend of mine told me about the story and said I should write lyrics about it, which I thought was a great idea because it's such an awesome story," he said. " Basically, it's at the end of the Viking era. The Vikings are in England, and they've been very successful in beating the English, because what the Vikings did better than the English is that they moved fast and they moved during the night. But at the Battle of Stamford Bridge, the English used the Vikings' tactics against them, so they caught the Vikings by surprise. The Vikings were too far away from their supply ships, so they had to retreat. The Vikings were about 3000 men, and the English were 15,000. So they retreated over Stamford Bridge, but in order to halt the English army, they sent one guy with an ax out on the bridge."

Exclusive: INFRARED Premiere “Meet My Standards” Single

Exclusive: INFRARED Premiere “Meet My Standards” Single

Ottawa’s Infrared is debuting “Meet My Standards” off their forthcoming EP Back To The Warehouse exclusively through BraveWords!

The EP is a collection of some of the older material that Infrared deems worthy to unleash unto the public ahead of their next full studio album anticipated for 2020 release.

“They are the last of the old songs that we felt should see the light of day. Our upcoming EP is five songs. Four originals and one cover of an Iron Maiden song. We hope that fans will appreciate the old school thrash metal feel of the release. We feel they are strong songs with interesting twists.”

“Meet My Standards” follows the formula that was set by the Big Four that Infrared has been meticulously channeling since 1985. Tight riffs and modern writing sensibilities, this EP is a trip back in time to ‘80s thrash metal. It is aggressive and melodic with lots of guitars and vocal hooks.

The band explains the meaning behind the single:

“'Meet My Standards' is a middle finger to societies' desire to conform everyone to their standards. This song calls for the acceptance of independence and uniqueness.”

Tracklisting:

“Meet My Standards”
“One Mouth Faces”
“Hate Today, Despise Tomorrow”
“Animated Realities”
“Wrathchild” (Iron Maiden cover)

Infrared live:

June
11 – Ottawa, ON – Mavericks (with Striker)

September
17 – Ottawa, ON – Mavericks (with Battle Beast)

SEBASTIAN BACH Performs SKID ROW Classic "18 And Life" In Moncton; Video

SEBASTIAN BACH Performs SKID ROW Classic "18 And Life" In Moncton; Video

Sebastian Bach has released more footage from his first-ever headline show in Moncton, New Brunswick. Watch him perform the Skid Row hit, "18 And Life", below.

Bach previously released the video below, performing Skid Row’s “Here I Am” at the Moncton show:

Sebastian Bach will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Skid Row’s acclaimed, self-titled breakout debut album with a US tour, where he’ll be performing the record in its entirety plus other songs from his celebrated catalog.

The tour will kick off in Nashville, TN on August 30, and will end in Pinellas Park, FL on November 2. Tickets and VIP Meet N’ Greet upgrades go on sale Friday, June 7, here.

Says Bach: "In 1989 we put out the first record 'Skid Row'. 30 years later, people still dig the music we created in a garage all those years ago. In commemoration of this 30th Anniversary digital deluxe release, my band is going to perform the first Skid Row record, in its entirety, on the road, LIVE this fall! It's going to be fun to do something that has never been done live before! We are looking forward to seeing you all for this one time event! Note: This concert is 100% live in every way! All real! All the time! No tapes! No fakes! Come and see a real rock band while they still exist! We give it to you straight from the heart 'cuz that's the only way we know how! See you on the road!"

Released in the winter of 1989, Skid Row’s self-titled record is one of heavy rock’s most successful debut albums, landing in Billboard’s Top 10 and going on to sell millions of copies around the world. The record transformed the band from local New Jersey quintet into a global phenomenon whose rebellious attitude and jaw-dropping talent set the bar and tone for rock music in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Skid Row’s singles, “18 And Life,” “Youth Gone Wild” and “I Remember You,” are among the decade’s most recognizable rock anthems that still receive heavy airplay on radio stations across the country. The group again achieved commercial success with its second record Slave To The Grind (1991) certified multi-platinum, reaching number one on the Billboard 200.

Sebastian Bach is recognized globally as a vocalist, television star, actor and beyond. Bach hit the spotlight in the late 1980’s as the iconic frontman for mainstream heavy metal / hard rock act Skid Row. Since his departure from Skid Row in the mid 90’s, Sebastian Bach still remains one of the most relevant rock figures in pop culture today, with over 20 million records sold, three solo records, network television appearances on AXS.tv, MTV, VH1 and CMT, guest appearances on Gilmore Girls, Trailer Park Boys, Californication and other popular television shows, and several acting stints on and off Broadway. Bach's last album, Give ‘Em Hell, impressively, landed on the US Top Hard Rock and Top 200 Billboard charts, proving his prowess decades after his initial debut. Bach's critically acclaimed Harper Collins memoir, 18 And Life On Skid Row, was released December 6, 2016.

BRAVO DELTA Release “Fire” Video

BRAVO DELTA Release “Fire” Video

Las Vegas American hard rock band Bravo Delta have released and inspiring video for their single "Fire" off of their first full length album Unbreakable that released on February 1st, 2019. The band has also announced tour dates that kick off on June 7th in Ogden, Utah at Kamikaze's. More dates to be announced.

"In writing the song ‘Fire’, I was inspired by many women I’ve had in my life that have had a passion, drive, or desire to overcome something. Whether it’s been abuse, sickness, chasing a dream, or whatever…these women had a ‘fire’….and weren’t going to let anyone or anything deter them from overcoming. I think all of us can relate at some point" says Brandon Davis.

He adds, "The concept and treatment for the video took a while for me to come up with, but I’m incredibly happy with what we produced. We wanted it to be an AA or NA meeting style setup, with women sharing their personal stories of positivity and overcoming. Knowing that could be a very vulnerable kind of thing, we were fortunate enough to find some amazing ladies that wanted to share. All shot on an iPhoneX at a Las Vegas location, the overall vibe, feeling, and emotion of the video translates so well…we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out."

Emerging out of a city known for its glitz and glamour comes a band brandishing an intelligent and artistic modern rock sound that is currently exploding onto the mainstream rock scene. Bravo Delta, a four-piece band from Las Vegas, has captured lightning in a bottle with their debut full length album Unbreakable with Eddie Trunk describing it as “a modern edge…right in the wheelhouse of what is happening now”. The first single and title track from the album has picked up steam and is currently charting on Active Rock charts with spins on rock radio stations all over the US.

SOLEIL MOON To Release Warrior Album In August; First Single “Here For You” Streaming

SOLEIL MOON To Release Warrior Album In August; First Single “Here For You” Streaming

Following the great critical acclaim that Soleil Moon gathered with the release of their first two albums. Worlds Apart (1999) and On the Way To Everything (2011), the band reconvened to record a new album in 2018. Born as a collaboration between singer Larry King (Michael Thompson Band) and keyboardist John Blasucci (Dennis DeYoung), Soleil Moon has become a personal outlet for writer and producer Larry King to "spread my wings and share a piece of my life with everyone. In order to stay in this business you have to be a Warrior. Frontiers has given me the chance to express myself my way. I am very grateful."

"The entire premise of this album is variety,” continues King. "I have been fortunate to be allowed to put great songs and personal stories on this record. No handcuffs...a peek into my life as well as the other writers. Personal stories make for more meaningful songs that others hopefully can relate to. Each song takes a journey that has its own vignette of space and time creating a little movie in your mind. I want people to listen to and see the story. John Blasucci, Khari Parker, Alan Berliant, Chris Siebold, Lee Sklar, Vinnie Colaiuta, Joie Scott, Opal Staples, Mike Harvey, Kelly Keagy (of Night Ranger), Jeff Morrow, Cheryl Wilson, Craig Bauer, Jeff Breakey, and of course, Michael Thompson have been helping me with my creations for a long time. I owe my career and life's work to this team. They have pushed and pulled me to be better every step of the way. I can never express the amount of gratitude that I have for them."

As a special treat, the album includes the song “72 Camaro”, which was released as a Michael Thompson Band single in anticipation of that band's performance at the Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan in 2018. Explains King, "Michael and I work together often on various projects and when we decided to do the MTB record, we both started writing. '72 Camaro' was a song about my first car and was very personal to me. It was my story. By the time the MTB record "Love And Beyond" was finished, we had mutually decided that because this was my story, it would be better suited for the Soleil Moon record."

Soleil Moon debuted in 1999 with the independently released album Worlds Apart, which also included the song “I’d Die For You,” later covered by Michael Kiske’s Place Vendome on their second album, Streets Of Fire. The album did quite well on Adult Contemporary radio with "Willingly," "Never Say Goodbye," and the title track, all of which ranked inside the Top 10 on U.S. national radio charts for the format. The follow up, On The Way To Everything came about a few years after and was acclaimed as a high quality AOR release.

Larry is a mind-bogglingly multi-talented singer, songwriter, player, producer, and band leader who has been a full-time musician, singer and songwriter since he was 12 years old. In 1997, Larry conceptualized and formed 'The Larry King Orchestra'. He hand-picked eleven top notch musicians and vocalists to form what became one of Chicago's premiere 22 piece Society Bands. The musicians chosen became such a dynamic team in this forum that they went on to feature in the recording and performance of music by Soleil Moon, Larry King's original project developed with John Blasucci, currently the keyboard player for Dennis DeYoung (ex-Styx).

SLAYER/EXODUS Guitarist GARY HOLT: 'Why Rap Is The Number One Music Form In America'

SLAYER/EXODUS Guitarist GARY HOLT: 'Why Rap Is The Number One Music Form In America'

Thrash metal legend Gary Holt of SLAYER and EXODUS returned to Rock City Music Company in Livonia, Michigan on May 18. The capacity crowd was entertained as Gary told stories from his incredible career, performed some of his most classic riffs and shredded everyone from Kanye West to Kylie Jenner.

Speaking about the current state of hip-hop, Holt said: "I like old-school rap. Maybe I'm just showing my age. Back in my day, rappers used to actually have rhythm. They actually used to be funky. Fucking now, the shit is… they're not even in time; they don't even rhyme. It's fucked up."

Pointing to a young music fan in the audience, Holt said: "Look, you're a young dude, right? You want a career in music? Go tattoo the fuck out of your face. You'll be a fucking rap star. That's what dudes looked like when they passed out on the bus — we'd Sharpie the fuck out of you. And now that's what they look like on purpose. It's crazy. They're all fucking Sharpied up."

Holt also addressed the fact that rock has been unseated by the growing popularity of hip-hop in the past few years. He said: "My theory on why rap is the number one fucking music form in America now is 'cause there's social media. Rappers — I'm friends with some and I love a lot of 'em, but they've always been about, 'Look what I've got. Look at my diamonds and shit.'

"I saw a news article — it was about some 18-year-old rapper who bought a Rolls-Royce so he could smash the windshields out and put it on Instagram," he continued. "All right, you're a fucking asshole, you're dumb, and I hope you run out of money and you're fucking sucking dick behind a dumpster for money later. So, fuck you."

Gary, who made headlines in recent years for the controversial t-shirt he started wearing in 2015 with the words "Kill The Kardashians", was also asked what he would do if he had five minutes alone with Kim Kardashian. He responded: "Not what your filthy mind is thinking. I wouldn't hurt her. You know, I don't hate the Kardashians. No, I don't. I hate the people that have made them famous — us. I hate the fact that people are so enamored and just fascinated with the glorious lifestyles of the rich and famous that they would elevate them to this status. Now she's gonna be a lawyer. If she passes the bar exam, I don't believe it. It's a lie and she paid someone off. Look at Kylie Jenner's natural lips, and look at those balloons she has now. All right, it's really ridiculous. It's ugly. You look ugly. I'm sorry — I find beauty in natural things. I don't think a lab-created rat looks attractive. Be yourselves. We're metalheads, right? I find beauty in the freaks and outcasts of the world, and that's what makes us us. And the minute we band together and we fucking take up arms, we'll take fucking music back."

Holt began filling in for SLAYER guitarist Jeff Hanneman at live shows in 2011, and became the band's full-time co-guitarist as of 2013, while remaining a member of EXODUS.

ENTHRONED – Cold Black Suns Streaming In Full Ahead Of Release Date

ENTHRONED – Cold Black Suns Streaming In Full Ahead Of Release Date

Cult black metallers Enthroned are streaming their new album, Cold Black Suns, ahead of its June 7th release date via Season Of Mist.

The band comments: "Condemned again to channel the darkness into a sonic trip, Enthroned are back with their most reckless album: Cold Black Suns. An ode to the arcane of cosmic matter and what holds historical certainty, our vision exalts the manifestation of physical forces within the world’s cultural heritage and its direct relation to the occult."

Enthroned is surely a name black metal fans are no strangers to. Over the course of the last 25 years, they have pushed the boundaries of black metal and the deepness of the Left Hand Path philosophy further within. The quintet has channelled that dedication into their newest record. Cold Black Suns is a dark and crushing black metal album where cold riffing, blood chilling atmospheres, and ritualistic drumming are keys to forging their most mature and accomplished opus to date.

The band, who crawled out of the black lands of Belgium in 1993, inked their first contract less than a year after its formation, and recorded debut album Prophecies Of Pagan Fire, which is now considered an all-time classic in the genre.

By then known as The Blackened Horde to fans and the scene at large, Enthroned recruited guitarist Nornagest and within two years entered Hautregard Studios to give birth to their second album. After the recording, tragedy struck and founding member and drummer Cernunnos (1997) took his own life.

The band went on to record the album using Cernunnos’s drum tracks from rehearsal recordings which were recorded by long time friend Da Cardoen, from the Belgian band Asphyxia. Towards The Skullthrone Of Satan was thus born. Since then, Enthroned went on to tour the world and have released a total of 10 full-lengths, one live album, and a hearty handful of splits and EPs.

Now, as the band celebrates 26 years as one of black metal’s premier outfits, they are ready to unleash number 11 onto the masses. Cold Black Suns is an icy, brutal offering from the band that will see a worldwide release on June 7 via Season Of Mist, making it their debut to the label. This is the band’s first album in five years, following up 2014’s critically acclaimed Sovereigns.

Cold Black Suns can be pre-ordered in various formats here. The cover artwork was created by Neraath.

JUDAS PRIEST Guitarist GLENN TIPTON "Isn't Feeling That Well At The Moment"; "I Can’t See Him Coming Out For The Rest Of The Tour," Says Bassist IAN HILL

JUDAS PRIEST Guitarist GLENN TIPTON "Isn't Feeling That Well At The Moment"; "I Can’t See Him Coming Out For The Rest Of The Tour," Says Bassist IAN HILL

Ahead of Judas Priest's June 10th concert at Enmax Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta (Canada), founding member and bassist, Ian Hill, spoke with Lethbridge Herald, and talked about guitarist Glenn Tipton, who retired from touring with the band in February 2018 due to his battle with Parkinson's disease, but has made appearances on the band's current Firepower tour.

During the telephone interview, Hill revealed that the band didn’t expect Tipton to be back for any more shows in the immediate future.

“Glenn isn’t feeling that well at the moment. He came out for the first show in Florida but I can’t see him coming out for the rest of the tour,” said Hill. “But who knows with modern medicine?”

While the band would love to have Andy Sneap as a permanent replacement, Hill said their touring bandmate has plenty of projects of his own he’s working on. In addition to Judas Priest, he’s also worked as a producer with bands such as Saxon, Accept, Testament and Megadeth.

“We love Andy, he’s a great guy and a tremendous guitarist and we’d love him to be a permanent part of the band," Hill added.

KIKO LOUREIRO Says It Was 'A Lot Of Responsibility To Join A Legendary Band' Like MEGADETH

KIKO LOUREIRO Says It Was 'A Lot Of Responsibility To Join A Legendary Band' Like MEGADETH

Kiko Loureiro spoke to Argentinian journalist Lucas Gordon about what it was like to hook up with MEGADETH in 2015 after spending two decades playing with the Brazilian band ANGRA.

"It was a totally different experience to join a legendary band," the guitarist said (see video below). "With ANGRA, we built the band from scratch, from Brazil, from the beginning — hard work throughout 20 years. And then invitation to join MEGADETH [came]. I was already living in Los Angeles. And I talked to the guys from ANGRA. Everybody said, 'You have to go. You should do it.' So, [it was] a lot of responsibility to join a legendary band, to be working with Dave Mustaine and [David] Ellefson."

According to Kiko, it was natural for him to assume a more background role in the MEGADETH decision-making process.

"In ANGRA, I was really hands-on, doing a lot of stuff, not only playing guitar," he explained. "And that gives me a lot of experience when joining MEGADETH, where they have a great management, 5B, so you don't need to… I mean, in ANGRA, we had a manager too, but I was more hands-on. And MEGADETH has a much bigger structure and a lot of people working for MEGADETH, so, for me, it's really like I need to [focus on playing] guitar. But as I have all this experience, I can bring ideas; I can discuss all this stuff. They're very open to ideas and possibilities. Why not?"

Loureiro made his MEGADETH recording debut on the band's 15th studio album, "Dystopia", which was released in January 2016.

Mustaine told Revolver magazine that finding Loureiro "was really a mind-blower. It was the first time since Marty Friedman joined the band that I was really intimidated as a player," he said. "He's such an amazing talent, and he's been coming in with all of these fresh ideas." Mustaine has also called Loureiro the "best guitarist we've ever had," adding that he was a good fit personality wise. "Chris [Broderick] and I had a good chemistry, but we weren't really as close as I would have wanted us to be," Mustaine explained. "Kiko, I feel like I've known him for years."

In addition to Mustaine, Ellefson and Loureiro, MEGADETH's current lineup includes former SOILWORK drummer Dirk Verbeuren.

MEGADETH is working on material for the follow-up to "Dystopia" for a tentative 2020 release.

TONY IOMMI And GEEZER BUTLER To Attend Official Naming Of 'BLACK SABBATH Bridge' Later This Month

TONY IOMMI And GEEZER BUTLER To Attend Official Naming Of 'BLACK SABBATH Bridge' Later This Month

The official naming of the "Black Sabbath Bridge" in honor of Birmingham's legendary heavy metal rockers is taking place in the heart of the city's entertainment district later this month.

Two BLACK SABBATH founding members will be attending the extraordinary event at the road bridge — which crosses the canal on Broad Street — at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26.

Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler will be cruising on to the scene aboard a narrowboat to unveil the new bridge signage from the canal below the bridge, with hundreds of BLACK SABBATH fans expected to flock to the city to watch.

Tribute band SABBRA CADABRA will be based on a nearby canal island to provide heavy metal entertainment throughout the event.

Westside Business Improvement District (BID) has worked closely with the Canal & River Trust charity and Birmingham City Council to have the bridge renamed as "Black Sabbath Bridge."

As well as the new bridge name, a uniquely designed "heavy metal bench" incorporating images of the band's original four members will be permanently based on the bridge, and this is expected to become a major new tourist attraction for the city.

Westside BID originally unveiled the bench to fans at a private ceremony at St Luke's Gas Street Church in February, which means the bridge-naming event on June 26 will also be its public launch.

Mike Olley, general manager of Westside BID, said: "We're grateful to the Canal & River Trust and Birmingham City Council for helping us to realize our ambition to pay this special tribute to BLACK SABBATH.

"On 26 June, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and other VIPs will board the narrowboat which will sail down to the canal island opposite the National Sea Life Centre where the SABBRA CADABRA tribute band will be playing.

"The barge will be hooked up to the sound system on the island so that Tony and Geezer can say a few words to all the fans watching. They will then sail down beneath the bridge to pull the cords to unveil both the new Black Sabbath Bridge signage and the heavy metal bench.

"It's going to be a wonderful event, and there is plenty of space on the canal footpaths, nearby bars and the bridge itself for all the BLACK SABBATH fans we are expecting to come to watch."

Ani Sutton, community engagement manager at the Canal & River Trust, said: "We're thrilled to be involved and look forward to seeing hundreds of people enjoying this event on the canal in Birmingham — which is also celebrating its 250th birthday this year.

"The bench looks fabulous and by working closely with Westside BID we have created a new location on a renamed bridge that not only can Brummies be proud of, but which will also draw tens of thousands of tourists to the city and the canal in the years to come."

Iommi said: "The bridge name and commemorative bench are both terrific and we're thrilled that everyone can now enjoy what has become a special location for BLACK SABBATH history."

Butler said: "I can't wait for what's going to be such a memorable event, and one where I can once again thank the loyalty of our great fans."

Coun Waseem Zaffar, the cabinet member for Transport and the Environment at Birmingham City Council, said: "We are delighted to name this new bridge in honour of BLACK SABBATH, one of the greatest bands to come from Birmingham."

The unveiling coincides with a major Home Of Metal exhibition celebrating BLACK SABBATH and the band's legacy, which runs from June 26 to September 29 at the Birmingham Museum And Art Gallery.

Watch KORN's BRIAN 'HEAD' WELCH Play 'Blind' With Former Arkansas Governor MIKE HUCKABEE

Watch KORN's BRIAN 'HEAD' WELCH Play 'Blind' With Former Arkansas Governor MIKE HUCKABEE

KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch and former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee performed an instrumental version of the KORN classic "Blind" earlier this week when Welch appeared on Huckabee's late-night-style show on TBN. Check out video footage of the jam below.

The former presidential candidate and father of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Huckabee was the 44th governor of Arkansas. Before becoming a politician and a political commentator, Huckabee was a Christian minister and musician, having played bass guitar since age 12. In recent years, he handled the bass duties in the classic rock cover band CAPITOL OFFENSE. Interestingly, the group's original lineup was drawn from staffers involved in the politics of Little Rock around the time he became governor in 1996.

Huckabee made headlines in April when he claimed that the movement for LGBTQ equality was the "greatest threat" to America's moral fiber. He told The Christian Post: "The biggest threat to biblical principles today is the failure to apply a biblical standard of maleness and femaleness." Huckabee also blamed "the Christian Church" for failing to teach Americans "what biblical marriage should look like." He said: "People are afraid that if they are really biblical, it will alienate people, and I think that's nonsense."

ACID REIGN Sign With Dissonance Productions; New Album Due In September

ACID REIGN Sign With Dissonance Productions; New Album Due In September

It's been a while but they’re back with arguably their finest album to date. UK thrashers, Acid Reign, will release their third full length via Dissonance Productions this September.

Vocalist Howard Smith had this to say: “For our first album in 29 years it was vitally important that we find the right home and I feel we have. From the very first contact it was obvious that the Dissonance team not only had an overwhelming enthusiasm for what we have recorded but the intelligence and infrastructure to deliver. Many involved are the same people I dealt with when curating The Apple Core Archives in 2014 which was a hassle free experience, so we are going to release a four disc retrospective Acid Reign Anthology package after the new album comes out cos I found some more old stuff and our two singles need a CD home. Who knows you may even see some vinyl reissues too! We cannot wait to unleash this beast and hit the road in support of it, once it’s out it will be two years since we started writing and a year since we recorded it. No one is as keen as us for you all to hear the results. Over the next few months we’ll be drip feeding you all information, we have so many plans for really cool things that we think you are all going to love. Stay tuned.”

Label head honcho Steve Beatty: "It's great they are back with a new album and I am pleased they are on the Label, it's another great addition to the roster and I’m excited about the new album. As long as they don’t cover anymore Blondie songs I'm a happy camper!"

In 1991 Acid Reign left an ailing UK thrash scene with a final show at the London Marquee. They toured with the likes of Nuclear Assault, Dark Angel, Exodus, Flotsam And Jetsam, Death Angel, and Candlemass. During this time they put out two full length albums namely The Fear and Obnoxious following on from their Mini Album debut in 1988, Moshkinstein. A final compilation, The Worst Of Acid Reign, was released and their brief but highly productive career came to an end.

Since returning from a 24-year absence, the band featuring original vocalist Howard H Smith, Pete Dee (bass), Paul Chanter (guitar), Marc Jackson (drums) and Cooky (guitar) have been busy. On the back of two new songs "Plan Of The Damned" (2015) and "The Man Who Became Himself" (2017) they hit the road both at home and throughout Europe for numerous tours and festival appearances, including the now legendary record-breaking headline slot of the Sophie Stage at Bloodstock 2016. During this time, they have earned themselves a fearsome live reputation famous for its high energy, mass stage diving and violent pits. Reeling off old school classics from their back catalogue they have become a must-see act that has seen the band sign with K2 live agency (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax). With a new album already recorded their time to reign has come again.

CRASHDÏET To Release 'Rust' Album In September; 'Idiots' Music Video Now Available

CRASHDÏET To Release 'Rust' Album In September; 'Idiots' Music Video Now Available

Swedish sleaze rockers CRASHDÏET will release their fifth studio album, "Rust", on September 13 via Diet Records in Scandinavia and Frontiers Music Srl in the rest of the world. The record marks the group's first full-length effort with vocalist Gabriel Keyes, who joined the band in December 2017. That same month, the group self-released a new song called "We Are The Legion", which is one of 11 tracks included on "Rust". Also included on the album is "Reptile", another new single featuring Keyes that was originally released in January.

The official music video for "Rust"'s new single, "Idiots", can be seen below. The clip is a tribute to the best movies ever made, according to the band's cinematic opinion, as they turn back time a few decades, revisiting the good old days. The video was shot by Jimmy Johansson (Super Lino Puro), who also produced the band's two previous videos, "We Are The Legion" and "Reptile".

"Rust" is the first CRASHDÏET studio album in six years and is the follow-up to 2013's "The Savage Playground". The disc was produced by Martin Sweet (apart from two tracks produced by Eric Bazilian and Chris Laney) and mixed by Chris Laney, who previously worked with CRASHDÏET on the band's 2005 critically acclaimed debut "Rest In Sleaze".

"Rust" track listing:

01. Rust

02. Into The Wild

03. Idiots

04. In The Maze

05. We Are The Legion

06. Crazy

07. Parasite

08. Waiting For Your Love

09. Reptile

10. Stop Weirding Me Out

11. Filth & Flowers

The Christel Mentges-designed cover art appears below.

In October, CRASHDÏET will join forces with THE CRUEL INTENTIONS and HIGHRIDE for the "Idiots On Tour 2019" European trek.

CRASHDÏET was originally founded in 2000 by late vocalist Dave Lepard and guitarist Mary Goore, better known as GHOST's Tobias Forge. The group's 2005 debut album, "Rest In Sleaze", debuted at No. 12 in the band's home country, but eight months after its release, the 25-year-old Lepard committed suicide. CRASHDÏET then recruited Finnish vocalist H. Olliver Twisted (RECKLESS LOVE) for its 2007 sophomore album, "The Unattractive Revolution", but after touring in support of the LP, Twisted exited the group. The band then welcomed Simon Cruz, who appeared on 2010's "Generation Wild" (which reached No. 3 in Sweden) and 2013's "The Savage Playground" (which reached No. 2) before leaving the band in the midst of a Japanese tour in 2015.

DRAGONFORCE - New Album Nearing Completion; Guitarist HERMAN LI Checks In From The Studio (Video)

DRAGONFORCE - New Album Nearing Completion; Guitarist HERMAN LI Checks In From The Studio (Video)

DragonForce guitarist Herman Li has checked in from the studio, where producer Damien Rainaud is mixing the new album. The official release is expected by the end of the year.

Herman Li previously commented: "We're really excited to be recording again after finishing one of our biggest tour cycles ever. We’ll be streaming our recording live on Twitch, and fans can participate in the process by letting us know what they think of our solos! The new album will have a lot of surprises that both old and new fans will really enjoy. We're also especially excited to kick off our next tour cycle on the Megacruise. You know if you're seeing DragonForce on a cruise, it's going to be crazy, and we can't wait for everyone to see what we're planning. It will definitely be something fans have never seen before."

Li recently held a studio live-stream session via Twitch and accidentally leaked a snippet of music presumably for the band's next album. Check out the clip below.

Stay tuned for more news about this new album coming soon.

NINTH CIRCLE Part Ways With Drummer DAVE DAVIS

NINTH CIRCLE Part Ways With Drummer DAVE DAVIS

Los Angeles melodic metal band Ninth Circle have confirmed drummer Dave Davis has left the band.

"We are all still on great terms," explains Frank Forray. "Dave was with us for almost 10 years and joined right when we released The Power Of One in 2009. He also recorded the Legions Of The Brave CD with us, which was a lot of fun, and he supported that CD on the road with us. Three years ago, Dave took a leave of absence for about a year and then returned for the recording of our new CD. So yes, it is true, Dave is no longer with us and we wish him the best in his new endeavors outside of drumming. We will keep everyone updated on our search for a new Ninth Circle drummer!"

Former MÖTLEY CRÜE Singer JOHN CORABI Is 'Surprised' He Was Mentioned In 'The Dirt' Movie

Former MÖTLEY CRÜE Singer JOHN CORABI Is 'Surprised' He Was Mentioned In 'The Dirt' Movie

Former MÖTLEY CRÜE singer John Corabi says that he was "surprised" that he was mentioned in the band's recently released biopic "The Dirt".

Corabi joined CRÜE in 1992 as the replacement for the group's original singer, Vince Neil, who was dismissed due to personal differences. With Corabi on vocals, MÖTLEY CRÜE released one critically acclaimed full-length CD, which ended up being a commercial failure in the wake of grunge despite a Top 10 placing on the album chart. When Neil returned to the fold in 1997, Corabi was left on his own and formed the band UNION with ex-KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick.

Asked by LA Weekly if he thinks the boost in interest in CRÜE following the release of "The Dirt" will bring more people out to see him at his solo shows, Corabi said: "I don't know if there will be a boost per say for me, but I understand it's been quite a big boost for MÖTLEY. Personally, I just want to be my own guy and enjoy life and I've accepted the fact that MÖTLEY is Vince, Nikki [Sixx, bass], Tommy [Lee, drums] and Mick [Mars]. So I expect nothing from that camp at all. I was actually surprised I was even mentioned in the movie at all. I didn't expect it. I am a bit disappointed that they couldn't lock down Morgan Freeman to play me though," he laughed.

Corabi in 2016 said that he would avoid talking about MÖTLEY CRÜE in the future because he didn't want his comments about Sixx to descend into a feud.

In an interview with Sweden Rock Magazine, Nikki said that writing the "Mötley Crüe" LP with Corabi was a prolonged and difficult experience. He went to call it "a very unfocused record" that was "painful for me, because John Corabi can't write lyrics, and I had to do all that work."

In February 2018, Corabi released a live album of his performance of MÖTLEY CRÜE's entire 1994 self-titled album, recorded on October 27, 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee. "Live '94: One Night In Nashville" documents the album in its entirety along with the bonus track "10,000 Miles", which was originally released as a bonus track on the Japanese version of the "Quaternary" EP.

Corabi is currently the frontman of the supergroup THE DEAD DAISIES, which released its latest album, "Burn It Down", in April 2018 via Spitfire Music/SPV.

ALICE IN CHAINS' JERRY CANTRELL Makes Cameo In HBO's 'Deadwood: The Movie'

ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell made a cameo in the new HBO film "Deadwood: The Movie".

"Snuck into a shot or two in the 'Deadwood' movie courtesy of W. Earl Brown," wrote Cantrell in an Instagram post. "Standing next to Garret Dillahunt here. I am a huge fan of the show and have become good friends with Earl and Robin Weigert (who plays Calamity Jane) over the poker table and other shenanigans. I gave Ian McShane (who plays Al Swearengen) a vinyl copy of 'Rainier Fog' that day too. Was fun to be in the background watching the professionals do their thing. Check it out c**ksuckers!"

Actor W. Earl Brown, who plays Dan Dority in "Deadwood", played filmmaker Alan Poole McLard in the ALICE IN CHAINS mockumentary "AIC23".

Cantrell and ALICE IN CHAINS are currently touring overseas in support of Grammy-nominated album "Rainier Fog" and will return home for a co-headlining run with KORN that kicks off July 18 in Austin, Texas.
